00:11 Hi, kids, you want to hear an amazing fact?
00:14 You know, after the discovery of the New World,
00:16 North and South America,
00:18 a lot of Spanish and Portuguese Conquistadors
00:20 went searching,
00:22 and they heard stories of Cities of Gold, El Dorado.
00:26 Many searched through the jungle,
00:27 some never came back.
00:29 Even some of the famous explorers like Ponce de Leon,
00:32 who was looking for the Fountain of Youth,
00:34 was also looking for El Dorado, the City of Gold.
00:37 None of them ever really found the City of Gold,
00:39 but one came very close.
00:42 And that was Francisco Pizarro.
00:44 When he invaded the country of the Inca Indians,
00:47 he captured the young King Atahualpa
00:49 and he saw that they were wearing
00:51 different ornaments of gold.
00:53 He said, "If you bring me enough gold,
00:55 I'll let the king go free."
00:57 Atahualpa sent a word
00:58 to bring the gold and silver to the capital.
01:00 And before long,
01:02 the native porters were bringing in a fortune
01:04 to the town from all corners of the empire,
01:07 laying it at the feet of the invaders.
01:09 So they eventually filled the room
01:12 that was 22 feet long by 17 feet wide,
01:15 and about 8 feet high.
01:17 The Spanish were stunned and quickly accepted the offer.
01:21 Even though the Inca Indians were able to fill a room
01:24 with a king's ransom full of gold,
01:26 it technically was not a golden kingdom.
01:29 But the Bible tells us in the Book of Revelation,
01:32 that God has prepared a golden kingdom
01:34 for those that love Him.
01:35 And the most important thing
01:37 is Jesus Himself will be in that kingdom
01:39 that is paved with streets of gold,
01:41 and you can be there.
01:42 We're gonna tell you how,
01:44 so get on board now and join me for this amazing adventure.
02:05 Good evening, boys and girls.
02:07 Welcome again to Amazing Adventure,
02:09 A Journey for Life with Jesus.
02:12 It has been such a joy for us
02:13 to be able to be with you this past week
02:15 and we've been looking at some very important
02:17 Bible truths together.
02:18 And unfortunately,
02:20 we have come to the end of our time together,
02:22 but hopefully this is not the end
02:23 of your discovery in Bible truth.
02:26 Hopefully the things that you have learned here,
02:28 you'll continue to study even more.
02:30 Well, we're gonna start by singing our theme song.
02:33 Before we sing, we're gonna invite Pastor Doug.
02:35 I forgot to invite Pastor Doug to come out.
02:37 So, Pastor Doug, come on out.
02:39 Hello!
02:40 Good morning, Pastor Doug.
02:43 All right, all hands on deck.
02:45 Welcome to Amazing Adventure.
02:48 All right, come on up.
02:49 Let's stand as we sing our theme song,
02:50 Life is an Adventure.
02:59 Life is an adventure following the King
03:04 Every day with Jesus makes us want to sing
03:09 Walking in the spirit he will lead the way
03:14 With his words to guide us glowing deep inside us
03:20 Nothing can divide us following the King
03:27 Life is an adventure following the King
03:32 Every day with Jesus makes us want to sing
03:38 Conquering with kindness everywhere we go
03:43 Voices we are raising Jesus we are praising
03:49 Life is so amazing following the King
03:56 Life is so amazing
03:59 following the King
04:04 Amen. Good job. You may sit down.
04:07 Well, we have some Bible questions
04:09 that have come in from some children
04:11 around the world.
04:12 And you know, I wish we had more days
04:15 to just go through the Bible questions,
04:16 because we've got lots and lots of Bible questions,
04:19 we just don't have time for them all.
04:21 Yes, we want to thank all of those
04:22 who sent in their Bible questions.
04:24 We had people sending questions all the way from Africa.
04:28 And I guess the Seychelles...
04:29 India. And across India.
04:31 Europe. All over U.S.
04:33 So we appreciate all your good questions.
04:35 Well, let's begin by taking a look at our first question
04:37 for this evening.
04:38 Hi, Pastor Doug Batchelor.
04:40 My name is [inaudible],
04:42 I come from the Seychelles Islands.
04:44 And my question is,
04:47 why are we a chosen generation?
04:50 All right, a question all the way
04:51 from the Seychelles,
04:53 why are we a chosen generation?
04:54 I think he's referring to the verse
04:56 in the New Testament.
04:57 Yes, where Peter says, you are a chosen generation.
05:00 And Peter's actually quoting from Leviticus,
05:03 where the Bible says that we are a kingdom,
05:05 a nation of kings and priests.
05:07 And Peter says, you are a chosen generation.
05:11 Anyone it will...
05:12 Back in the Old Testament, you remember God chose Abraham
05:15 and the descendants of Abraham were especially blessed,
05:18 because Jesus, the Savior was gonna come
05:20 through the family tree of Abraham.
05:22 Once Jesus came, He said, anyone
05:24 who accepts Christ is part of Abraham's seed,
05:28 you become part of that royal chosen generation,
05:32 when you accept Jesus you are adopted
05:35 and grafted into the family of God.
05:39 Okay, and we have another question.
05:41 Hi, my name is [inaudible].
05:44 I come from Madagascar and my question is,
05:47 why God would like to choose Mary
05:51 to be the mother of Jesus?
05:54 Okay, question all the way from Madagascar.
05:57 Why did God choose Mary to be the mother of Jesus?
06:02 Well, she's actually said to be a blessed woman
06:06 because of her devotion and her dedication.
06:10 Mary was very committed to the scriptures.
06:12 The early training of Jesus in the scriptures
06:16 was at his mother's knee.
06:18 Mary loved the Word of God.
06:19 Jesus knew so much of the Bible when He grew up,
06:23 that when the devil tempted Jesus in the wilderness,
06:25 all three times Jesus was tempted,
06:28 He quoted from the Bible.
06:30 He quoted all three times from the Book of Deuteronomy.
06:33 And Jesus, I think had memorized
06:35 all of the scriptures.
06:37 Ten percent of what Jesus said,
06:39 He was quoting from the Old Testament scriptures.
06:42 I think, Mary was a young girl who loved the Word of God.
06:45 She had memorized it, she was very devoted,
06:47 she loved God.
06:49 When the angel told her she was gonna have a baby.
06:51 She said, let it be unto me according...
06:54 Let it be unto your hand maiden according to your word."
06:57 And she submitted to God and because of her devotion,
07:00 her dedication, her commitment to God,
07:02 she was chosen.
07:04 Okay, our next question.
07:06 Hi, Pastor Doug. My name is Seralini McNulty.
07:09 And my Bible question is,
07:12 why did Jesus like to tell parables?
07:15 All right, great question,
07:17 why did Jesus like to tell parables
07:19 when He was teaching on the earth?
07:22 All right, I want you to close your eyes for a minute.
07:24 You trust me?
07:25 Just close your eyes,
07:27 I'm not gonna do anything to you.
07:28 All right, there's a monkey
07:31 and he's climbing up a barber's pole,
07:34 and he cuts open a lemon
07:36 and he puts the lemon in his mouth
07:38 and he bites down on the lemon
07:40 and he holds it there in his mouth,
07:41 and it looks like a big yellow smile
07:43 on the face of the monkey,
07:45 who just climbed up the barber pole.
07:47 Okay, you can open your eyes now.
07:49 How many of you saw the monkey in your mind?
07:53 You saw him climb up the barber pole.
07:56 What color was the barber pole?
07:59 Red, white, blue.
08:01 Do you know I never told you, did I?
08:03 But you filled in the details in your mind.
08:05 You saw a barber pole and you said red, white, blue,
08:08 which is what's on a barber pole.
08:10 And we think in pictures,
08:12 we've all got a little screen in our minds.
08:16 And when Jesus told stories,
08:19 you tell me your name I may forget.
08:21 You tell me a story about your life.
08:22 I'm a lot more likely to remember.
08:24 I remember interesting stories.
08:27 Jesus, just like, if you want to remember a scripture,
08:29 you learn a song with a scripture,
08:31 it's easier to remember.
08:33 A story with the scripture
08:35 or a truth is easier to remember.
08:37 The Bible says without a parable,
08:39 He did not teach them.
08:40 He spoke in parables and stories.
08:42 Some of His stories were true, actually.
08:45 And the Bible is a storybook.
08:47 You know what history is?
08:49 His story,
08:51 it's the story of Christ in the Bible.
08:53 It's all these wonderful stories
08:55 that teach the plan of salvation.
08:56 So Jesus used this method to teach, because it works.
09:00 All right, I think that's it
09:02 for the questions this evening, Pastor Doug.
09:03 Thank you very much for your Bible questions.
09:05 Can we say thank you, Pastor Ross.
09:07 He's been helping us sail this ship.
09:10 We have a very important study tonight,
09:13 and I think you're gonna find it pleasant as well.
09:16 We're gonna be talking about the Kingdom of Gold.
09:20 Of course, our memory verse,
09:21 God will wipe away all tears from their eyes,
09:24 there will be no more death, or sorrow, or crying.
09:28 Neither will there be any more pain.
09:31 Wouldn't you look forward to a world
09:32 where there's no more sadness,
09:33 no more sorrow, no more crying, no more pain.
09:37 When you see someone else cry, does it make you sad?
09:40 Even if you don't know their language,
09:41 you don't know what their story is,
09:43 no one wants to see someone else suffer.
09:45 God doesn't want to see the suffering in this world.
09:49 You know, the Bible tells us that.
09:51 God, He's all powerful, He's all knowing,
09:55 He's ever present,
09:56 but God is something called Omnipathic.
09:59 Do you know what that means?
10:01 Omnipathic.
10:02 Pathos, sympathy, it means you feel.
10:06 God feels everything you feel.
10:09 I can say, well, I think I know how you feel.
10:11 But I just think I know how you feel.
10:12 God knows exactly what you're feeling
10:14 and it hurts Him when you hurt.
10:16 That's why Jesus said, Matthew Chapter 25,
10:19 "And as much as you do it to the least of these,
10:21 you've done it to Me."
10:22 Anything you do to make any other creature feel better,
10:25 it makes God feel better.
10:27 And if you do something to hurt somebody,
10:29 God feels that too.
10:31 And so God doesn't want any more suffering.
10:33 He wants to take us to a world
10:34 where there's no more pain, no more suffering,
10:36 and it's gonna be a glorious Kingdom of Gold.
10:39 Now on our HMS Adventure,
10:43 we've been going on a little journey.
10:45 One of my dreams growing up, I wanted to travel the world.
10:50 I wanted to do archaeology and explore caves
10:53 and explore caverns, and look for treasure.
10:55 Any of you ever dream about going on a treasure hunt?
10:59 Sometimes I'll go camping with my boys out in the desert.
11:01 We explore in Nevada abandoned gold mines.
11:05 And we've had a lot of fun going into some big gold mines
11:08 where there's no one around for miles
11:10 and all these tunnels in these different directions,
11:12 and we take our lights way back
11:13 you're in the heart of the mountain,
11:14 it's dark, and things are broken down,
11:17 and there's wild animals in the mine,
11:19 and it's dangerous, but it's fun.
11:21 I don't recommend it.
11:23 And I kept thinking maybe there's some gold
11:25 that they missed.
11:26 And we've gone out in the desert
11:28 with our metal detectors looking for gold
11:30 and I've gone panning for gold.
11:31 You know, in California, we're from Sacramento,
11:33 they had a gold rush out there.
11:36 And so, you know, we can dream.
11:39 But the greatest treasure I ever found was in God's Word.
11:42 One of the stories about finding treasure in the Bible,
11:45 it's not the Bible, in history,
11:47 that is very amazing,
11:49 it's the story of Howard Carter,
11:52 who was a famous Egyptologist,
11:54 who studied the ancient history of Egypt.
11:56 And according to the records, and the hieroglyphics,
11:59 and everything he studied, he said,
12:00 "There is a missing King.
12:02 We've never found his tomb, a young king
12:05 and we think he's buried in the Valley of the Kings,
12:07 but not in a pyramid, but a tomb that goes down."
12:10 And he started digging where he thought it
12:12 might be based on the architecture
12:14 and the other evidence.
12:16 And he went in search of this missing King
12:18 and then one day he found a tunnel,
12:20 tunnel had been all filled in with rocks.
12:23 And he had his workers spent a lot of time,
12:24 they pull all the rocks out, they went down a corridor.
12:27 Finally they said, "We found the door."
12:29 And the incredible thing is, he said,
12:31 "We found a door and there is an unbroken seal of a tomb.
12:35 Nobody has entered this for 3,000 years."
12:39 Now that's got to be one of the most
12:40 exciting stories in history,
12:43 when an explorer stands before a door of a tomb
12:47 that has not been opened in 3,000 years.
12:51 Finally, with the news reporters there
12:54 and everyone watching,
12:56 Howard Carter broke the seal
12:58 and he made a little opening in the door,
13:00 they looked in and he stuck a candle in
13:02 and everyone behind him are saying,
13:04 "Do you see anything?"
13:06 He said, there's a long pause.
13:09 He said, "Yes, I see things.
13:12 I see wonderful things."
13:14 The glint of gold was everywhere.
13:18 He had discovered
13:19 the missing tomb of a young king.
13:21 We now know him as King Tut, the name is Tutankhamun.
13:25 And I've been to Egypt
13:26 and I've looked at the treasures of King Tut,
13:28 and it is amazing.
13:29 You would think he was the richest king in the world.
13:31 He was a poor king,
13:33 which means he didn't even get a pyramid,
13:34 he is buried underground.
13:36 The kings who built the pyramids
13:37 must have had mountains of treasure.
13:40 There really have been
13:41 a few cities of gold in history,
13:42 but they are nothing compared to the city
13:44 that God has prepared for us that you can live in.
13:48 Question one, we're gonna go into our lesson
13:50 talking about God's golden kingdom.
13:54 What is God's kingdom like?
13:56 Is it really a Golden City?
13:58 Let's read it from the Bible.
14:00 It says in Hebrews 11:16,
14:01 "God is not ashamed to be called their God,
14:04 for He has prepared for them a city."
14:06 Now I'm not too excited about cities.
14:09 I've lived in cities all over the world.
14:11 Cities are loud and they got a lot of people,
14:14 and there's often a lot of crime,
14:15 and drugs, and pollution.
14:17 And I was born in Los Angeles, big city,
14:21 lived in New York City growing up,
14:24 Boston, Miami, London, Madrid,
14:29 Jakarta, Bombay,
14:31 I live in all those, I've been to them.
14:35 You name it, Paris. I was in Paris this year.
14:38 But you know where I like to go?
14:39 I like the country.
14:41 But the city that God's making
14:43 is not gonna have the problems that our cities have.
14:45 Do you know why our cities have so many problems?
14:47 Because they've got so many people,
14:49 and people in this world are sinful,
14:51 but in heaven, will there be any sinful people?
14:54 So the cities will be wonderful in heaven.
14:57 Are we gonna have police stations in heaven?
14:59 No.
15:00 Are we gonna have prisons in heaven?
15:02 No.
15:03 They're gonna be hospitals? No.
15:04 Any cemeteries? No.
15:06 No, it's gonna be very different kind of city there
15:08 and it'll be a lot more room
15:10 because they'll be no golf courses.
15:12 At least that's what I'm hoping for.
15:15 Bible says, "The walls of the city
15:17 were jasper and the city was pure gold,
15:20 like clear glass."
15:22 Now I've never seen it.
15:24 But most gold that you find
15:26 is actually 99% is like the purest they can get it.
15:29 The reason gold looks yellow
15:31 is because of that 1% of impurity.
15:33 They say that if you could make gold 100% pure,
15:38 it would almost look like glass.
15:41 The gold that God makes
15:43 is gonna be like transparent glass
15:45 because it is 100% pure.
15:48 It goes on to say in Revelation 21:18,
15:50 "And the street of the city was that of pure gold
15:54 like transparent glass."
15:55 Gold is an amazing substance.
15:57 It's the most malleable substance in the world.
16:00 Do you know you can take one ounce of gold
16:03 and you can hammer one ounce of gold
16:04 so thin that you're almost down to the atomic level.
16:08 One ounce of gold can be
16:09 flattened out with a little hammer
16:11 so that you can cover a tennis court
16:14 with one ounce of gold.
16:16 It's an amazing substance.
16:18 Sometimes you say, this is gold plated
16:20 and you think gold plated.
16:21 It doesn't take much gold to plate something,
16:24 because you can make gold very thin.
16:27 And this city is gonna be pure gold.
16:30 Some people are sacrificing eternity
16:32 for a little bit of gold here.
16:34 You'll be able to walk on gold in heaven.
16:37 Sometimes people wear the gold around their neck,
16:39 they wear the gold on their ears,
16:41 and they say, "I've got gold."
16:43 In heaven gold is the asphalt, you're gonna walk on it.
16:49 Twelve gates, angels look down here,
16:51 they see people wearing jewelry
16:52 and they see each other, why are they wearing asphalt?
16:56 It says, "The city had 12 gates,
16:59 which were 12 pearls, each gate was a pearl."
17:02 Now think about this.
17:03 I'm gonna tell you about the walls in just a minute,
17:04 but the walls are ginormous.
17:07 So if the walls are like 144 cubits wide,
17:11 and 375 miles around, and you only got 12 gates,
17:16 the city walls are as big as the State of Oregon.
17:18 Only 12 gates, those gates have got to be huge
17:22 and each gate is made of how many pearls?
17:24 One pearl.
17:26 Now where's the pearl come from?
17:27 Oyster.
17:29 If the pearls are that big,
17:30 how big are the oysters in heaven?
17:33 Had something to think about, huh?
17:35 Now, I'll tell you a true story about pearls.
17:38 A man in Rhode Island, a few years ago,
17:40 his name was Alan Golash.
17:44 He was looking through...
17:45 They had an antique store.
17:46 They had some baskets
17:48 of what they called costume jewelry.
17:49 It's a cheap jewelry people use for dressing up.
17:51 And he was digging through a basket of costume jewelry
17:54 at this antique store and he found this brooch
17:58 and he went up to the propriety and he said,
17:59 "How much do you want for this brooch?"
18:02 The guy looked at over and he said, "$14."
18:05 He said, "Thank you. I'll take it."
18:08 But Alan had a good eye.
18:10 He knew it was not costume jewelry.
18:12 The brooch was an 18th century work of art
18:16 made out of two very, very rare,
18:19 they're called Quahog Pearls.
18:21 They're purple pearls, they're genuine pearls,
18:24 and they were perfect.
18:26 And it's surrounded with diamonds, and real gold.
18:30 They sold it to him for $14.
18:33 In reality, it's worth millions.
18:37 Now how do you think the store owner felt
18:38 when he said,
18:40 "I just sold millions of dollars for $14?"
18:45 Wouldn't he feel terrible? Yes.
18:47 I think I just hit my head so hard,
18:49 I left the handprint on my head.
18:51 The guy was thinking about
18:52 losing millions of dollars for $14.
18:54 Some people are trading eternal life,
18:57 the pearl of great price for even more.
18:59 In heaven, you're gonna have infinite riches.
19:04 You know, astronomers tell us
19:07 that in the southern hemisphere
19:08 in the Constellation of Centaurus,
19:11 there is a collapsed dwarf star,
19:15 that when it imploded,
19:17 it condensed the carbon so it turned
19:20 into a one huge crystallized carbon,
19:24 which we call a diamond as big as the moon.
19:29 One diamond as big as the moon, can you imagine that?
19:34 So when we say that God has pearls
19:36 big enough to make a gate, even atheists believe
19:39 there's diamonds out there as big as the moon.
19:42 So can God make pearls that big?
19:44 Yes. Absolutely.
19:46 Next question.
19:48 What will happen to all of the sin
19:50 and the evil that is on earth?
19:52 Bible tells us, "The heavens will pass away
19:55 with a great noise, when Jesus comes.
19:58 The elements will melt with fervent heat,
20:02 the earth and the things
20:03 that are in it will be burned up."
20:06 So when Christ comes again, the people who are alive,
20:10 they're caught up to meet the Lord in the air.
20:12 They're given glorified bodies,
20:13 the people who are dead, what happens?
20:15 They're resurrected, they're raised up,
20:17 they meet the Lord.
20:19 The wicked who are alive are destroyed
20:21 by the brightness of His coming,
20:23 behind the angels.
20:24 When they go around the planet, they're gonna vacuum up all.
20:27 Bible says, "He'll send forth His angels to gather together
20:30 His elect from the four corners of heaven
20:32 from one end of the earth to the other."
20:33 All the good angels are gonna gather together,
20:35 all of God's saved
20:36 were caught up to meet Jesus in the air,
20:38 and behind the Bible says,
20:40 "The earth is in just total chaos
20:41 and destruction."
20:43 Mountains are swallowed up, great earthquakes
20:44 such as there's never been before.
20:46 Heavens are on fire, hailstones coming down,
20:49 devastation.
20:50 So world's in bad shape, but Jesus takes us up,
20:54 and that's when you and I
20:55 go on one of the greatest adventures,
20:57 I can't wait to do this.
20:59 Bible says, "He's gonna take us back to the mansions
21:02 He's prepared."
21:03 We get to go on that journey through the stars.
21:06 Talk about an adventure.
21:08 I don't know about you, but when I get to heaven,
21:10 I can't wait to go exploring.
21:11 I mean, I just might spend the first few thousand years
21:14 thanking Jesus,
21:15 but then I'll say excuse me, Lord, I want to go see
21:17 what You've made out there.
21:18 And I'm gonna take off
21:20 and I'm gonna travel through space.
21:21 That'll be me right there. No, I will need a space suit.
21:24 Will I?
21:26 You see, I've got a theory.
21:29 When God made Adam and Eve...
21:32 Aren't there a lot of beautiful things underwater?
21:35 Mrs. Batchelor, and I, and our boys,
21:37 we all scuba dive and there are so many
21:40 beautiful things underwater.
21:41 We've gone in the oceans around the world seen wonders,
21:43 it's like flying.
21:45 I like scuba diving because you're weightless.
21:47 So you're just, you under the water,
21:49 you get what they call neutral buoyancy.
21:51 You adjust your air and stuff so that
21:52 you just like you're floating in the water,
21:55 and it's got to be warm water.
21:56 If it's cold, it's no fun.
21:57 But if you're in warm water, and you just kind of float
21:59 and you can roll around,
22:01 look up at the sun through the water twinkling,
22:03 you go like this,
22:04 then you swim over to the coral reef.
22:06 And there're these clouds
22:07 of iridescent different colored fish,
22:08 and you swim through and they just part for you.
22:10 Then you see the turtles going by
22:12 and you're having a wonderful time,
22:13 and then you see the sharks, and you go,
22:15 ahh, I gotta get out of here.
22:18 Now actually, we see sharks,
22:20 but they don't bother you
22:21 most of them in oceans of the world.
22:24 But it's like flying, I love flying.
22:26 I'm a pilot. I like to fly planes.
22:29 When I'm on a motorcycle, I want to jump.
22:32 When I'm on skis, I want to jump.
22:33 I like that sensation of flying.
22:35 You know, I think the reason
22:36 God placed that desire within us.
22:38 How many of you like to fly?
22:39 Any of you scared of flying like on a plane?
22:41 No. There're a couple, yeah.
22:44 You want to keep your feet on the ground.
22:47 But oh, I love flying.
22:48 I think God gave us that desire
22:49 because we will be able to fly.
22:51 I'll read you a verse about that in just a few moments.
22:55 Will we need to take a spaceship
22:57 to go back to the...
22:59 Is God, is Jesus coming in a UFO?
23:01 No. No.
23:03 So, I mean, God's gonna have a beautiful city
23:07 that will go through space.
23:09 And then how long do we spend
23:10 with Jesus in heaven before we come back?
23:12 A thousand years.
23:14 A thousand years, Revelation 20,
23:16 we will live and reign with Christ in heaven.
23:18 So it's like from the time of Adam.
23:21 You've got 2,000 years and you got Abraham.
23:24 You had 2,000 years, you got Jesus.
23:26 You got 2,000 years, and now I think
23:28 Christ gonna come pretty soon, then we spend 7,000th year
23:32 like a Sabbath resting with the Lord
23:36 and then at the end of that He's gonna make
23:37 a new heavens and a new earth.
23:39 At the end of the 1,000 years, we spent 1,000 years
23:43 with Jesus in the New Jerusalem,
23:45 the City He's prepared that Golden City,
23:48 but God did not make Adam and Eve
23:50 to live in the city, did He?
23:52 Had Ryan's, city, did he?
23:55 No, He made them to live in the garden.
23:58 So the Golden City is gonna be the capital of the universe,
24:02 is gonna come down from God out of heaven.
24:04 Think about that,
24:05 God is moving the capital of his universe to our world.
24:10 Where's the capital of Michigan?
24:12 Lansing. Lansing.
24:13 You know, the capital of California?
24:15 Sacramento. Sacramento.
24:17 Capital of the United States? Washington D.C.
24:20 And what is the capital of the world?
24:25 There is no capital.
24:27 Some people think its New York City,
24:28 because that's where the United Nations is.
24:30 Where is God moving the capital of the universe?
24:34 To our planet.
24:35 How many different unfallen worlds
24:36 does God have out there?
24:39 Lots of them.
24:40 But He is gonna move to our world with us.
24:43 So when the New Jerusalem comes down to earth,
24:46 Jesus comes out of the city.
24:49 His feet touch the ground and at that point,
24:52 there is a great resurrection,
24:53 all the lost who have ever lived,
24:56 come out of their graves.
24:58 At that point, the Bible tells us
25:00 there is a great white throne judgment
25:03 and you realize there's gonna be a time then,
25:05 this is at the end of the 1,000 years,
25:07 all of us will meet again saved or lost, everybody there.
25:11 The good angels and the saved are in the city,
25:14 the bad angels, and the devil,
25:15 and the lost are outside the city.
25:17 Jesus is in the city.
25:19 And this is when Jesus like a shepherd,
25:21 He separates the sheep from the goats
25:22 and everybody's there.
25:24 And they'll say to the saved, well done good and faithful
25:27 servants enter into the joy of the Lord."
25:30 And then they'll say to the lost,
25:31 depart from me, you cursed.
25:33 And so there'll be two groups.
25:35 There's only saved or lost.
25:36 There's no Switzerland, there's no neutral ground.
25:39 Jesus said, you're with me or you're against me.
25:42 You're either his friend or you live like his enemy.
25:45 The Bible tells us that after that judgment,
25:48 those who have rejected Jesus,
25:50 they basically are self destructing
25:52 because of the rejection of Christ,
25:54 they can't abide the presence of God.
25:56 They will not be happy in the presence of God
25:58 and God in His mercy,
26:00 it says they're going to be destroyed.
26:02 "All who do wickedly," Malachi 4:1, "will be stubble.
26:07 And the day that is coming will burn them up."
26:09 And after their judge,
26:11 fire comes down from God out of heaven,
26:12 and it says it devours them.
26:14 Now why doesn't it hurt us?
26:17 I need two volunteers.
26:22 And you know what I want,
26:24 if I can get a couple that are friends.
26:27 You guys, friends? We are twins.
26:28 You're twins? All right.
26:30 Come on. I can't let this pass.
26:33 Oh, be happy for them.
26:35 And what's your name?
26:36 Kendall. Kendall.
26:38 Landon.
26:39 Kendall and Landon, all right, hang on a second here.
26:50 All right, don't be a spoiler.
26:54 So you guys trust each other?
26:58 Yes. No.
26:59 Yes.
27:05 I don't want to push my luck here.
27:09 Some people tell me
27:11 this is what my head looks like.
27:15 All right, you will hold that for me.
27:17 Just hold it by the end there.
27:20 And stand where people can see you here.
27:24 Come over, you guys can stand side by side here.
27:26 You want to light that for me? I think it's gonna pop...
27:29 Yeah, what do you think? Is it gonna pop?
27:31 Yes. If it doesn't, I'll scream.
27:33 You're gonna scream, you can scream.
27:34 It's all right.
27:36 Go ahead and push and squeeze that real tight.
27:38 Put it underneath the balloon. I'm just, it's an experiment.
27:40 In the interest of science let's find out what happens.
27:45 Go ahead.
27:47 You got there, click it again and see?
27:49 Go ahead. Go for it, be brave.
27:52 Most people live through it. Wait.
27:55 You gotta put it on there.
28:01 Okay, you're brother and sister now, right?
28:05 Do you guys trust each other?
28:07 Yeah, I see that. All right.
28:09 Yeah, that's a lit balloon for special effects.
28:12 Okay. Do you trust your brother?
28:16 I guess. You think so.
28:17 Okay, why don't you sit just on the step there?
28:18 You can just sit, put your feet on the first step there.
28:22 Okay.
28:24 Go there, hold that by the...
28:27 I want you to go and sit down, have a seat.
28:30 Hold that over your sister's head.
28:33 Don't shake it now.
28:50 Why didn't it pop?
28:53 All right, thank you very much.
28:55 You want to thank them?
28:57 Y'all catch.

30:01 Why could Shadrach, Meshach,
30:03 and Abednego walk through a fiery furnace
30:06 without being burned?
30:08 Jesus said, "When you go through the fire,
30:10 I will be with you
30:11 and the flame will not kindled upon you."
30:15 He says, "When you go through the waters,
30:16 I'll be with you."
30:17 If you've got the Holy Spirit in you,
30:21 the presence of God,
30:22 you know, the Bible says, the presence of God
30:24 is a consuming fire.
30:26 But why aren't the righteous burn?
30:27 If God appeared to us right now,
30:29 we could not stand it, it would destroy us.
30:31 When God gave
30:32 the Ten Commandments to the Israel,
30:34 they told Moses, don't let God talk to us anymore.
30:37 It'll kill us.
30:38 You speak to God and tell us what He says,
30:41 but we don't want to speak to Him anymore,
30:43 because the glory of God terrified them.
30:45 When Isaiah saw the glory of God,
30:47 he fell down and said, "Woe is me, I am undone."
30:52 When John saw the Spirit of God or presence of God,
30:56 when Daniel saw the presence of God,
30:58 the glory was too much and these were holy men.
31:01 So what Jesus does is, He makes us holy,
31:05 He makes us pure, and through that
31:07 we are able to abide the presence of God
31:10 and the glory of God will not hurt us.
31:12 But the world and all the wicked
31:13 will be destroyed.
31:15 You know, fire is a good means for cleaning things.
31:18 All around the planet,
31:19 God is going to purify the earth.
31:22 But what does God promise to do next?
31:25 You read in 2 Peter Chapter 3, "We, according to His promise,
31:30 look for," what?
31:32 "A new heavens and a new earth
31:35 where in dwells righteousness, for the first heavens
31:38 and the first earth had passed away."
31:42 Now what did God have us in original plan?
31:49 Did God plan for us to live in the city or in the garden?
31:51 Garden.
31:53 Did God plan for man to die or live forever?
31:55 Live forever.
31:56 Did He want us to feel pain or no pain?
31:58 No pain.
32:00 The devil messed up God's plan.
32:01 Did the devil mess up God's plan forever?
32:04 No.
32:06 Or is He going to bring things back the way they were?
32:10 God is gonna restore everything to its original condition.
32:12 All right, I need somebody. Yeah.
32:18 Let me, I will come around here.
32:21 Okay, your friends are telling me to pick you.
32:23 Come on, you. Come on up here.
32:26 You don't know anybody.
32:28 What's your name? What's your name?
32:31 Julian. Julian, you know what that is?
32:38 Come here, come here. You don't know what that is?
32:40 Who knows what that is? Boomerang.
32:42 Boomerang, I'll let you,
32:44 well trained you raise your hands.
32:46 That's very good.
32:47 You know what a boomerang is for?
32:49 You throw and it will come back at you.
32:50 Yeah, if you know what you're doing,
32:52 most boomerangs that they sell in the tourist stores
32:54 are not made right.
32:56 It's got to be made
32:57 with the right angle or it won't work.
32:58 But Mrs. Batchelor and I were in Australia
33:00 where an actual native was throwing one
33:02 and it was going around...
33:05 It came back and he caught it.
33:06 So they really do work if they're made right.
33:08 This is a real boomerang.
33:11 You know, the whole thing is we learned
33:14 from the Bible the boomerang effect.
33:17 It's what goes around, comes around.
33:19 What that means is you do unto others
33:21 as you would have them do unto you.
33:24 What you give, you will get.
33:27 Says if you give generously to others,
33:30 they will give to you.
33:31 Good measure, press down, shaken together, running over.
33:36 If you dig a pit to trap someone,
33:37 you'll fall in your own pit.
33:40 Haman was hung on the gallows
33:41 that he built for Mordecai, boomerang.
33:44 But it's also true that God's original plan
33:48 is gonna be completed.
33:50 God originally had a perfect plan
33:52 for humanity and the planet and He's gonna finish His plan.
33:55 We've taken a little boomerang journey
33:58 through the plan of salvation,
33:59 so the whole world would see that God is good.
34:01 But God is gonna come back to His original plan,
34:03 except it's gonna be what you call an upgrade.
34:07 It's even better than He planned.
34:09 You can take that with you. Let's give him a hand there.
34:11 Thank you.
34:12 That's you gotta keep, that's a real boomerang.
34:14 Yeah. Thank you.
34:15 You're welcome. Thank you for thanking me.
34:19 You know, sometimes Pastor Doug travels
34:21 and I have a rented car,
34:23 I reserve a car and I get there and they say,
34:25 "Oh, there's a convention in town.
34:27 I'm sorry, your economy car, your midsize car you rented,
34:31 they're all gone."
34:33 And I go, "Oh, no."
34:35 And they said, "But don't worry.
34:37 We're gonna give you one of the executive cars."
34:40 You get an upgrade.
34:42 Do you know God is gonna give our whole planet an upgrade,
34:44 not only is He gonna accomplish His original plan,
34:47 it is gonna be better.
34:49 And I remember one time
34:50 driving out of the car rental place and they said,
34:53 "We don't have your car
34:54 because all the others are gone,
34:56 but we're giving you a Cadillac for the same price."
34:59 I thought, wow, I felt pretty good
35:02 until I had to pull into the church
35:03 where I was preaching.
35:04 I thought, oh man, they're gonna all see me
35:06 driving this car.
35:07 What are they gonna think?
35:08 Amazing Facts is spending money on Cadillacs.
35:11 But God's gonna give us an upgrade.
35:13 Number four, will this Golden City
35:16 be in heaven or be on earth?
35:18 What was His original plan?
35:20 People say, "You die and you go to heaven,"
35:22 but us living in heaven forever was never God's plan.
35:26 Blessed are the meek, they will inherit what?
35:29 The earth. The earth.
35:31 God is gonna restore the earth.
35:33 He's gonna give you a new body
35:34 and He's gonna make the planet new.
35:36 You remember we studied last night,
35:38 what was our subject last night?
35:40 We talked about baptism.
35:41 The Bible says before you're born again,
35:45 you need to be born of the water,
35:46 born of the spirit.
35:47 You know, our planet was born of the water,
35:50 it was washed in water in the Days of Noah.
35:52 It's gonna be washed in fire
35:54 when Jesus comes back and then
35:55 God's gonna make a new earth.
35:56 You must be baptized in the water and the fire,
35:58 water and spirit baptism.
36:00 Children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt,
36:03 went through the sea,
36:05 pillar of fire into the Promised Land.
36:07 So we kind of need both.
36:09 Our world is gonna go through the same thing.
36:12 The meek will inherit the earth.
36:13 "I, John, saw the holy city, the New Jerusalem,
36:17 coming down from God out of heaven
36:19 prepared as a bride adorned for her husband."
36:21 Now, when the New Jerusalem comes down,
36:25 does God need a special city spaceship?
36:27 No.
36:29 Can God make a city that goes through space?
36:32 Yes.
36:33 People believe right now that man can build a city in space.
36:37 Don't we have an international space station?
36:40 God's city must be a real big good example
36:42 of that much, much bigger.
36:44 But, obviously God can do it, we know that.
36:47 Now when you think of heaven, when you say you know
36:49 I want to go to heaven.
36:51 What do you think of?
36:52 You know what a lot of the world thinks of
36:53 when they think of heaven.
36:55 They see all these medieval paintings like naked babies
36:58 on clouds playing harps and they think,
37:02 I don't know if I want to go to heaven.
37:03 I don't want to sit as a naked baby on a cloud
37:06 and play a harp, be a cherub.
37:08 And they say that wouldn't be very much fun.
37:12 But is that what we're gonna do?
37:13 No.
37:15 Are we doing real things in heaven?
37:17 What is the most wonderful thing
37:19 about God's new kingdom that He's gonna make?
37:22 When you think about heaven,
37:25 what do you think is the most exciting thing?
37:32 Some people say, "I can't wait to slide down
37:34 the neck of a giraffe."
37:35 Other say, "I want to pet a lion."
37:37 Or people say, you know, "I want to be able to fly,"
37:41 and like I just said.
37:43 The most exciting thing really, trust me,
37:45 way more than anything else
37:47 is being in the presence of God.
37:51 It will be just overwhelming, unimaginable bliss.
37:54 When we talk about heaven, the Bible says,
37:56 "Your eye has not seen, your ear has not heard,
37:59 neither has your imagination even conceived the things
38:02 that God has prepared for those that love Him."
38:06 We will be in the presence of God.
38:08 "I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, 'Behold,
38:10 the tabernacle, the house of God is with men.'"
38:13 Can you imagine having God as a neighbor?
38:16 "And He will dwell with them,
38:18 and they himself will be His people.
38:21 God Himself will be with them and be their God."
38:24 You want to hear an incredible story
38:27 about Clancy, cute dog.
38:29 His family are called the Millers.
38:31 They lived in Buffalo, New York, true story.
38:34 I'm just giving them an anonymous name.
38:36 They had a dog. His real name was Clancy.
38:39 They got him as a puppy, they had him for six months
38:41 and then father had a job change
38:44 and he had to move to Michigan, Indiana.
38:46 I know it's a city called Michigan, Indiana,
38:49 which was 370 miles away.
38:52 But because of the move
38:54 and because the puppy was still only six months old,
38:56 they said, you know,
38:57 we'll give Clancy to a neighbor,
38:59 but Clancy had become very attached his first six months
39:01 all he knew is his family.
39:02 He loved the Miller Family.
39:04 So they gave Clancy to the neighbor
39:06 in Buffalo, New York,
39:07 and then they moved to Michigan, Indiana.
39:10 Six months later, even though he had never traveled,
39:16 Clancy showed up scratching
39:18 on their screen door in Michigan,
39:20 Indiana, 372 miles away.
39:23 Wow! He's now a year old.
39:27 He was thin, he looked tired, his fur was a little dirty,
39:32 his paws look raw.
39:34 But somehow for six months he had tracked them,
39:37 they don't know how, they wish he could talk
39:39 and tell them what in the world happened.
39:43 But he escaped the neighbor's yard
39:44 and all he could think about, he didn't care about the house.
39:48 All he could think about was the family he loved.
39:50 He wanted to be with them.
39:51 They open the door incredulous, in disbelief,
39:54 Clancy looked up at them,
39:56 whimpered a little bit, walked inside,
39:58 and laid down on a familiar carpet
39:59 he used to lay on when he was a puppy.
40:03 He wanted to be with his family.
40:06 Why should we want to be in heaven?
40:09 Because we want to be with Jesus,
40:11 it's who we love.
40:13 It's not what we want.
40:14 It's who we want
40:15 that's gonna make the difference.
40:17 "The Throne of God and of the lamb will be in it,
40:19 and they will see his face."
40:21 That's a wonderful thing.
40:22 And then it says, "Those who wait on the Lord
40:25 will renew their strength.
40:26 They will mount up with wings like eagles."
40:31 Have you wondered if you'll fly in heaven?
40:34 Here's a verse,
40:37 you'll be able to run
40:38 and not be weary, walk and not faint.
40:41 Furthermore, what other wonderful things
40:43 does God have planned for His new kingdom?
40:46 Question six.
40:48 New heavens and a new earth, and there was no more sea.
40:53 Now, it's not because there's no more water.
40:55 When we say sea,
40:56 we're thinking of the salty briny water.
40:58 There'll be no big expanse
41:00 of salty water to separate people.
41:02 There will be water because there's a crystal fountain
41:04 that flows from the Throne of God.
41:07 The Bible says, "Even the most deserted place
41:09 will blossom like the rose in heaven
41:12 and there'll be no more curse."
41:15 All right, I need to bring somebody up here.
41:18 I'm gonna come around here.
41:19 Pastor Doug, can we please come up?
41:24 Okay, there you.
41:25 Here your friends have elected you.
41:27 Come on up, what's your name? Rachel.
41:28 Rachel, I have got a daughter named Rachel.
41:30 How do you spell it? R-A-C-H-E-L.
41:33 Yeah, it's like my little girl.
41:35 Look behind the captain's wheel here
41:36 and see what you find.
41:39 Behind the wheel, keep going. There you go.
41:41 It's kind of heavy, see if you can pick that up.
41:43 Bring it out here for us. Oh, it's a little heavy.
41:45 Get your hand under it too.
41:46 Get a hand under it, because I know that's heavier.
41:49 And what are these? What are these?
41:51 Flowers.
41:52 Hey, why don't you set them up here,
41:54 cause it gonna be a little easier for you.
41:57 What kind of flowers?
42:00 You know what they are? Smell them.
42:05 Rose. Roses.
42:07 Now let me see here.
42:13 Why do you have to be careful with roses?
42:15 They can have thorns. They can have thorns on.
42:17 Now I clipped all the thorns off of this one.
42:20 Why are there thorns on roses?
42:23 You remember because of sin in the Garden of Eden.
42:26 It's said that the land
42:29 will bring forth thorns and thistles because of sin.
42:32 You know, they've got a special variety
42:34 of thorns right now.
42:35 Do you notice that you don't really find
42:37 any thorns on this one?
42:38 They're pretty safe.
42:40 I looked it over, but I want to grab that one,
42:42 it could draw blood.
42:43 And isn't that sad you got something so beautiful,
42:46 but it could hurt you.
42:48 So you can look at the thorns and you can look at the roses,
42:51 but in heaven will there be any more thorns?
42:53 No.
42:54 Bible says there will be no more curse.
42:56 The effects of the curse people will not sweat when they work,
43:01 you know, God said to Adam and Eve
43:02 because of your sin.
43:04 You can keep that Rachel, that's for you.
43:05 That one is safe. Thank you very much.
43:10 No more curse.
43:13 In the middle of the street
43:14 and on either side of the river.
43:16 Now what river is this?
43:19 It's a river clear as crystal
43:21 that flows from the Throne of God
43:23 and on either side of that one huge river.
43:26 Now when you think about a river,
43:27 don't think little river.
43:28 Think bigger than the Mississippi.
43:31 You know, the Amazon River is like 20 miles
43:33 across at the mouth.
43:35 Can you imagine one river coming from the Throne of God
43:37 that's 50 miles across,
43:39 clear river going like a great big cataract
43:42 from the Throne of God, irrigating the whole planet.
43:45 From the Garden of Eden,
43:46 four rivers came out of the Garden of Eden
43:47 is what the Bible says.
43:49 One of them was Euphrates, and I don't remember them,
43:53 Chidekel, forget what the others are.
43:55 Anyway, they have these beautiful crystal clear rivers
43:59 that were flowing and it says, and there's a tree
44:03 that grows on either side of the river, evidently,
44:05 because it's one tree on either side of the river.
44:07 That must be a big tree.
44:09 If the river is 50 miles wide,
44:12 how many people are gonna eat from this tree?
44:13 All.
44:15 All the people that are saved are gonna eat from that tree.
44:18 And it says, it will have its fruit
44:20 12 different kinds of fruit yielding its fruit every month.
44:25 So we're gonna have a food supply
44:27 and a water supply.
44:29 Will the water be polluted? No.
44:32 No.
44:33 Everything is gonna be perfectly pure
44:36 in the Kingdom of God.
44:37 And the Bible tells us the streets of the city
44:40 will be full of boys and girls playing.
44:43 So is it okay to play?
44:45 People think oh, I'm Christian, I'm not allowed to have fun.
44:50 But are there gonna be children in heaven?
44:51 Yes.
44:53 And does God want us to enjoy life
44:55 and have abundant life?
44:56 Yeah, there'll be pure, innocent things
44:59 that children will be able to do
45:00 and this to me as I think a wonderful part.
45:02 It tells us, "The wolf and the lamb will feed together
45:07 and the lion will eat straw like an ox."
45:11 And the Bible says, "A little child will lead them
45:14 and a cow and a bear will graze."
45:17 In heaven, the lion and the lamb
45:20 will be able to sit down together.
45:22 I don't know if it'll work in this world,
45:23 but we brought a lion.
45:27 I'm not sure who our lion tamer is,
45:29 but wherever that lion is, here comes the lion.
45:41 I didn't say how big the lion was.
45:45 Yeah, we were in South Africa a couple years ago.
45:48 Pastor Ross will tell you Mrs. Batchelor
45:50 was attacked by a lion.
45:52 It is absolutely true.
45:56 Of course, lion was about this big,
45:58 but it did attack her, it bit her legs.
46:00 So I love to tell people,
46:01 Mrs. Batchelor was attacked by a lion, little lion.
46:05 But she came away with a bruise.
46:08 So the little kit he seems calm enough,
46:11 I wonder how the lamb is gonna do.
46:12 Are we ready for our lamb?
46:21 So here we have the lion and the lamb.
46:24 Now in heaven, in this world,
46:26 we had to get a small lion
46:27 or it might try and eat the lamb.
46:31 In heaven, the lions will eat the lamb, but...
46:36 No, here the lions eat the lamb,
46:38 but in heaven I think the little lion is scared too.
46:43 Two kids can come up here.
46:46 You got cowboy boots on, come on up.
46:49 You look like you could gentle,
46:50 you can go pet the lamb real quick,
46:52 gently and we'll get one from the aisle,
46:55 you can come up.
46:56 Come on, come here.
46:59 And you can both pet the lion and pet the lamb.
47:11 How did you end up here?
47:13 I don't remember picking you.
47:14 Well, you go back to your seat?
47:16 No, no, no go sit down. Go sit down.
47:18 I need to play... No, you can't do that.
47:23 Is there a policeman here who can fine him?
47:27 So thank you very much.
47:28 Hey, I was gonna give you guys something,
47:30 come on back for coming up and participating.
47:32 We'll give them a hand.
47:34 You know what this is? This is a water purifier.
47:39 You can...
47:40 This is like the crystal water comes from the Throne of God.
47:42 You can put this in water
47:44 and you might have some question
47:45 about they put these out around the world.
47:47 You suck on it, it's called a LifeStraw,
47:48 it purifies the water.
47:50 So if you're out hiking, you're on an adventure,
47:52 you see a creek you don't know if the water is clear.
47:54 You can suck on this and drink it,
47:56 it'll purify the water.
47:57 All right, let's give them a hand
47:59 and say thank you very much.
48:05 All right, the lion will lay down with a lamb
48:08 and it says they will not hurt.
48:10 "The nursing child will play by the cobra's hole."
48:14 All right, now I want you to be perfectly honest with me.
48:17 Anyone here that is six years old?
48:22 Six year old? No.
48:24 Six. Anyone five?
48:28 All right, if you're a six year old,
48:29 come on, six year old.
48:30 If you're six, come up here.
48:32 One, six year old, you're six?
48:33 Okay, come on up here.
48:39 Now you know what that verse says there.
48:41 It says a nursing child will play
48:43 by the cobra's hole.
48:44 You know what a cobra is? Cobra is...
48:47 Well here.
48:51 Would that scare you? No.
48:57 Will children play with snakes in heaven?
48:59 Yes.
49:01 And it says they will not hurt
49:02 or destroy in all my holy mountain.
49:05 So you get to pet snakes in heaven,
49:06 you're not gonna...
49:08 Your mom won't even be afraid.
49:09 Okay, you can take that with you.
49:13 "They shall not hurt
49:14 or destroy in all of my holy mountain,"
49:17 says the Lord.
49:18 You want to hear a great story.
49:20 You may have heard this story, true story by little Tyke.
49:23 There was a small African lion
49:27 that was rejected by his mother.
49:28 The mother in the zoo had a really bad attitude.
49:31 She killed all of her cubs and one time she gave birth,
49:34 and she was getting ready to kill this cub
49:36 and someone reached through the cage
49:37 and they rescued the cub.
49:39 And this poor little Tyke
49:41 nearly got killed by his mother.
49:43 And they gave little Tyke to a family
49:46 that had a ranch with a lot of strange animals
49:49 in Oregon or near Seattle rather,
49:53 and the Westbow Family.
49:56 And they took Tyke and they give it milk
49:58 and they tried to nurse it back.
49:59 It started gaining strength and like most lions,
50:02 they've been tried to give it some,
50:03 you know, ground beef or something.
50:05 They could not get it to eat any meat.
50:09 And they thought, well lion's natural food,
50:11 it's gotta eat meat.
50:12 So they kept putting meat in front of it,
50:14 it turned up its nose in disgust.
50:17 It would eat vegetables, it would eat fruits,
50:20 it would eat cornmeal,
50:22 it would eat grain with great relish.
50:24 People said, you're gonna have to teach that cat to eat meat.
50:26 And they try and put a little blood in this milk,
50:28 it wouldn't touch it,
50:29 it smelled it wanted nothing to do with it.
50:32 So they kept feeding it vegetables,
50:34 and fruits, and grains, and things like that
50:36 and lion just kept getting bigger and bigger,
50:38 so that's the impossible.
50:40 And they kept trying to sneak at meat.
50:42 They tried to color the meat
50:45 with different flavors and things,
50:46 and if it was meat lion always knew it,
50:49 would not touch it.
50:50 It was a vegetarian lion.
50:53 And the Westbows didn't know what to think of this
50:55 until someone showed them
50:56 the verse in the Bible that says,
50:58 the lion will eat straw like the ox
51:00 and all the lions in the Garden of Eden were vegetarians
51:02 and they will be vegetarians in heaven.
51:04 They felt much better.
51:06 They just kept feeding little Tyke a vegetarian diet
51:09 and it got along great with all the other animals.
51:11 There you see a picture of it lying down with the lamb.
51:14 You could see that they're trying
51:15 to handle little Type some meat there,
51:16 and he's turning up his nose.
51:18 He wouldn't have anything to do with meat.
51:20 In heaven, yes, you'll be able to go up to the lions
51:24 and some of the wolf and the lamb,
51:27 who are natural enemies
51:28 in this life are gonna be friends.
51:30 And you know what?
51:32 Not only will the animals be vegetarians,
51:34 you're gonna be vegetarian there too, aren't you?
51:35 Yes.
51:37 You might want to start practicing now.
51:39 What are some of the other blessings
51:41 of heaven?
51:43 It says, "We will receive the crown of life,
51:46 which the Lord has promised to those who love Him."
51:49 God is gonna let all of those
51:52 who love him can get this beautiful crown
51:54 and we will cast our crowns at Jesus' feet.
51:57 Not only do we get crowns,
51:59 we get these glorious robes of light,
52:01 that the Lord is gonna give us, His white robes.
52:04 The Bible says, "The eyes of the blind
52:06 will be opened and the ears..."
52:08 I'm sorry.
52:09 The eyes of the blind will be opened
52:11 and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped."
52:12 The lame, someone who's disabled that limps,
52:15 that can't walk, they'll be able to leap.
52:17 The dumb will sing.
52:18 People who can't speak now, they're gonna sing.
52:19 God's gonna compensate in heaven.
52:22 You know what I mean by that.
52:24 If you can't sing here,
52:25 you're gonna sing beautifully there.
52:27 If you can't see here,
52:29 you're gonna see like an eagle there.
52:30 If you have a trouble smelling now,
52:32 you'll smell like a basset hound.
52:34 Of course, you don't want to smell like a basset hound.
52:36 You know, what I mean by that?
52:37 But you could smell with your nose
52:39 like a basset hound.
52:41 In heaven, you're not gonna recognize
52:44 we gonna have long flowing hair
52:46 as it can go down, like Samson, huh.
52:51 The lame, the disabled person will leap,
52:53 the dumb shall sing.
52:55 And God is gonna just give us
52:57 all these supernatural abilities.
52:59 What will not be in heaven and in the new earth?
53:04 Bible tells us well, there's no pain, no tears,
53:08 "God will wipe away every tear from their eyes
53:11 and there will be no more death."
53:13 Oh, that'll be so nice. How long will you live?
53:17 A million years go by
53:19 and you're gonna invite me over for a birthday.
53:21 And so, I'll bring it back for my next birthday
53:23 in another million years, because a million years.
53:25 Can you imagine if you live a zillion years,
53:26 every million years,
53:28 it's gonna seem like you have birthday
53:29 every million years.
53:30 It'd be too frequent.
53:32 Can you imagine living for eternity?
53:34 It never ends.
53:35 You'll never have to be afraid of the future
53:38 and you'll have glorified powerful bodies.
53:41 You'll continue to grow.
53:42 Malachi Chapter 4 says, "We'll go forth and grow up."
53:45 If you're a child, when Jesus comes
53:46 you're not gonna stay a child forever,
53:48 just grow more slowly.
53:50 No more sorrow or crying.
53:52 Neither will there be any more pain.
53:54 God will wipe away all tears from our eyes.
53:56 What else will not be in heaven?
53:59 That's very important.
54:01 There will by no means enter into it anything that defiles,
54:06 or an abomination, or a lie.
54:09 God must cleanse us from sin and make us holy.
54:12 So it says there's nothing that comes in that will defile.
54:15 What is gonna set us free?
54:17 Jesus and His Word, the key is in the Bible.
54:21 Now, does Jesus want me to be in that kingdom?
54:26 You think that Jesus made heaven
54:29 and it's like, well, if they make it, they make it,
54:31 but if they don't, they don't.
54:33 How much does the Lord want you to be there?
54:37 He gave His life for you to be there.
54:39 He said, "I go to prepare a place for you.
54:43 In my Father's house, there're many mansions,
54:45 there's room for you."
54:47 You want to hear a sad story? No.
54:49 Yeah, well, let me tell you.
54:52 Gonna tell you anyway.
54:54 There's a man named Walker McCune.
54:56 He's an oil millionaire.
54:59 He married a beautiful young bride,
55:00 he loved very much.
55:02 So he went to Paradise Valley,
55:04 Arizona and he built her a mansion.
55:07 Now Mrs. Batchelor
55:08 and I live in a house with about 2,000 square feet.
55:11 He built a house for his wife
55:13 with 53,000 square foot mansion.
55:18 It had a theater in the house with 150 seats in it,
55:24 had a skating rink in the house,
55:27 had an Olympic swimming pool in the house,
55:30 that's just a big beautiful mansion.
55:34 Do you think that anybody would want?
55:36 She walked in and looked around said,
55:38 "I don't like it. I don't want to live here."
55:41 It broke his heart.
55:43 He built this incredible mansion,
55:44 because he loved her so much.
55:46 He wanted to be so happy.
55:47 She turned up her nose and walked away
55:48 and never moved in.
55:50 It's kinda sad.
55:51 Though there might be other reasons.
55:53 Maybe she didn't like Arizona,
55:54 maybe she wanted something smaller.
55:56 It's hard to clean a 53,000 square foot house.
56:01 But you know, somebody's paid an enormous price
56:04 so that you could be in their kingdom.
56:07 Jesus has bought a mansion for you
56:09 and He made it.
56:10 He knows you're gonna like it.
56:12 You need to trust Him, because He knows you,
56:14 it's gonna be perfectly designed for you.
56:15 You'll not only have a city home that Jesus made,
56:18 you get to build a country home.
56:20 The Bible says that we will go forth,
56:21 we will build houses and inhabit them.
56:24 We will plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them,
56:26 and My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
56:30 You will love what's there in the kingdom.
56:33 Jesus said, "I stand at the door and knock
56:37 and if anyone hears My voice and open the door,
56:40 I will come into them."
56:41 He has prepared a place for us.
56:44 Do you believe that God has that place prepared for you?
56:47 Do you?
56:49 He says, "I go to prepare a place for you.
56:51 "If you believe in Jesus, trust in His Word.
56:54 In His Word is the key that will set you free
56:56 and unlock the chains,
56:58 and if you have faith all things are possible
57:01 to those who believe.
57:29 You know, the most important decision
