00:27 We believe that these last few nights have been 00:31 so very information. 00:32 I'm hearing from people all over the country, in fact, 00:37 about how much this series is meaning to them. 00:41 In fact, there are some churches that are opening up the church 00:45 and running this as a series in their church. 00:49 And one of those is in Texarkana. 00:52 Texas, Arkansas. It's actually in Texas. 00:56 But it's part of the Arkansas/Louisiana Conference. 00:59 So we welcome especially those of you 01:02 down in Texarkana tonight. 01:05 Because we've been hearing from them quite often 01:08 here in the last couple of days about how much they are 01:13 appreciating this particular series. 01:16 This is a timely series. 01:20 We're living in a time of history that it is 01:24 so important for us to know what's going on. 01:28 And you know something? 01:30 You know it from the Bible. 01:32 Not from somebody looking and thinking that they've come up 01:35 with a conspiracy theory or something of that nature. 01:39 Or they can prove that the Illuminati's doing this, 01:43 or the World Bank is doing that, or something like that. 01:47 And by the way, they may be doing all of those things. 01:51 But we trust the Word of God. 01:55 And the Word of God is all you need to know 01:59 that there is a great conspiracy. 02:02 And it's called the great controversy. 02:05 You see, the devil has conspired against God. 02:09 And he will use every method that he can use 02:13 to try to destroy the people of God. 02:17 And so, it is so important that we completely and totally 02:22 lean on the Word and trust in God's Word. 02:28 And so I have a lot of confidence in 02:31 Pastor Kenneth Cox. 02:32 I've known him for many years. 02:34 I have been with him when he was building series 02:38 such as we're looking at now. 02:40 I've seen his method of study. 02:43 And he is an extremely organized human being. 02:47 When he looks at something, he has the analytical ability 02:52 that God has given him to actually take apart a subject 02:58 and look at it very clearly. 03:00 Now if you have ever watched someone like that 03:05 actually work on a subject, I want to tell you something. 03:08 It's very, very thrilling to see and to see how that can happen. 03:14 But tonight, this subject is one that's very, very important. 03:19 Talking about the antichrist power, 03:23 the power of the antichrist. 03:25 And before Pastor Cox comes to lead us in prayer and 03:30 then to lead us through the study of the Word, 03:34 I'm going to ask Dona Klein to come. 04:12 You can take all my possessions, 04:18 all the things that men hold dear, 04:24 all the precious gifts that this old world can hold. 04:36 But the love I found at Calvary 04:42 far exceeds my clouds of gloom and doubt would hover low. 06:09 And then they whisper, "Mom, we really love you, 06:14 and my doubts just seem so small." 06:21 He has made our home a heaven here below. 06:32 Then you ask me why I love Him, 06:37 why I choose to walk this way. 06:44 Well I find His service sweeter every day. 06:55 It's the only life worth living, 07:01 He has made my life complete. 07:06 Oh, that's what Jesus means to me. 07:18 Yes, that's what Jesus means to me. 07:51 Father in heaven, we come to You this evening 07:55 first, Lord, inviting You into our lives, 08:01 asking that You will give us insight, 08:06 give us understanding. 08:08 And as we open Your Word, Lord, may we see and understand 08:13 where we are, what's happening, what's taking place. 08:17 May we learn to walk by faith in the light 08:22 of what Your Word reveals. 08:24 Forgive us of where we have been slow to follow. 08:29 Help us that we, day by day, may continue to grow 08:33 in knowledge and in preparation for Your coming. 08:37 For this we pray in Christ's name, amen. 08:45 Well, good evening. 08:47 I'm very happy to welcome you again this evening. 08:50 And to those of you who are joining us by television 08:55 or over the radio, we welcome you. 08:58 This is a series called, Anchors Of Truth. 09:03 And this particular series is dealing with the question 09:06 of the antichrist, the rise of the antichrist. 09:10 And that's what we're looking at as we're going through 09:14 the prophecies that talks about the rise of the antichrist 09:18 and what it's to do at the present time. 09:21 We've had two presentations on it. 09:23 We've looked at Daniel the 7th chapter 09:26 and we've looked at Revelation the 13th chapter so far. 09:30 Tonight, we're to continue in the 13th chapter of Revelation 09:35 because it talks about something that's happening there. 09:38 Now tonight's presentation is different. 09:41 And it's different in the fact that in that second part 09:44 of the 13th chapter, it talks about another power 09:48 that joins with the antichrist. 09:52 And so our subject tonight really is, 09:55 The Antichrist's Partner. 09:58 How he is partnering with the antichrist. 10:02 And that's what we're going to take a look at 10:03 and you're going to see certain things that take place. 10:06 And what you need to watch for this evening 10:09 is you need to see how the Scripture takes them 10:12 and puts them together. 10:14 So we're going to take a look at it and see what 10:16 the Scripture has to say. 10:17 Because in our previous presentations, 10:21 when we looked at Daniel 7 we found that the little horn there 10:26 was the papal power. 10:29 And it gave eight points of identification. 10:31 It makes that perfectly clear. 10:33 Last night, our last presentation that we had, 10:37 it was on Revelation 13 and a beast that came out of the sea. 10:42 And we found that the beast that came out of the sea 10:45 was also papal Rome. 10:48 God is using just a different type of symbol 10:51 for the antichrist. 10:52 Both the little horn of Daniel 7 and the beast of Revelation 13 10:59 are the antichrist. 11:01 So we have those two symbols used for the antichrist. 11:05 But as I mentioned, the Scripture speaks about 11:09 some that join hands or come together. 11:13 So we're going to go to Revelation 16 11:15 and take a look at a text that begins to give us that insight. 11:19 And it says here... 11:37 Here's three of them and so here we have the dragon, 11:40 we have the beast, and the false prophet 11:44 that form a confederacy to do certain things. 11:48 And the Scripture tells you what they're going to do. 11:52 It says, "For they are the spirits of..." 12:08 So it says these three powers go out and they are demons 12:15 deceiving the world, gathering them together 12:19 for the battle of Armageddon. 12:21 So we have more than just the beast. 12:25 We have the dragon and we have the false prophet. 12:31 Now it tells us certain things about these. 12:33 Revelation 19 verse 20 says... 12:45 So here we have the beast and the false prophet 12:48 are captured. 12:52 It says, this false prophet would work signs 12:56 in the presence of the beast. 13:06 So it says, this false prophet would perform signs. 13:11 And by those, he would deceive the people. 13:17 "These two..." 13:20 That means the beast and the false prophet. 13:29 So those two have been cast into the lake of fire 13:32 burning with brimstone. 13:36 Alright, now I want to take you one step farther. 13:40 Because those three frogs came out of the mouth of the dragon, 13:46 out of the mouth of the beast, 13:48 and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 13:51 Now we know who the beast is. 13:53 We defined that previously that the beast was 13:57 that of the papal power. 13:59 Okay. 14:00 But it says here in Revelation 20 verse 2... 14:14 So now it's defining very clearly for us 14:17 who the dragon is. 14:20 And it says that the frog came out of the mouth of the dragon, 14:24 out of the mouth of the beast, 14:26 and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14:28 So we find that the dragon represents that of the devil, 14:33 and the beast represents that of the papal power. 14:38 So what we've got to do tonight is we've got to find out 14:41 who is the false prophet that's involved. 14:46 And this is a partner of the antichrist. 14:50 Okay, it says, Revelation 20 verse 10... 15:06 So we find that now we have all three of them 15:10 who have been cast into the lake of fire. 15:13 This is right down at the close of time. 15:16 And we find that the beast, and the false prophet, 15:20 and the devil are all cast into the lake of fire. 15:26 That's what the Scripture simply says. 15:28 Now you understand that in Bible prophecy 15:32 when it uses "beast," it's talking about civil powers. 15:36 This is not talking about individuals. 15:39 This is talking about a destruction. 15:42 The destruction of the beast power, 15:44 the destruction of the false prophet, 15:46 the destruction of the devil. 15:48 This is what it's referring to. 15:49 It's not talking about a particular individual. 15:54 Because we read about that in John where it says that 15:59 the antichrist was coming, was already in the world 16:02 in John's day. 16:03 His coming would be there at the time of Christ. 16:06 People don't live that long, folks. 16:09 It represents a power, a system that's there. 16:12 And that's what this is talking about. 16:14 Okay, Revelation 13 verse 9 ended by saying... 16:24 Okay, I mentioned that this is speaking specifically 16:28 to those people in the Scripture that are wise. 16:34 They read the Word of God, they study the Word of God, 16:36 and they know what's happening. 16:39 And the Scripture refers to them as wise. 16:41 And so it says, if you have an ear, 16:43 hear what the Word of God has to say. 16:46 And then verse 10 tells us, "He who leads into captivity..." 17:04 So that's verse 10. 17:06 It comes down and says this is what has happened. 17:10 Verse 11 reads this way. Listen carefully. 17:25 Are you getting a picture of what's happening here? 17:28 Because we find that first beast, which I refer to as 17:31 the sea beast, which was taken into captivity. 17:36 It says as it goes into captivity, John said, 17:39 "I saw another beast coming up out of the earth." 17:43 And as he talks about this beast, he describes 17:46 what he is going to do. 17:49 "And he exercised..." 17:58 So it says that this two-horned beast 18:03 exercised all the authority of the first beast in his presence. 18:07 "And caused the earth..." 18:16 So this is referring back to the first beast, 18:20 which we found to be that of the papacy. 18:23 And so it says this beast, the two-horned beast... 18:26 Or as Scripture defines it; the false prophet. 18:30 It says that it is going to cause all the world 18:35 to worship the first beast. 18:38 So he's going to do some definite things that will affect 18:42 not just a few people, but the whole world. 18:56 So it says this false prophet is going to do great things. 19:00 Signs that are so mighty that he'll cause fire to 19:04 come down from heaven in the sight of people. 19:07 He is going to lead them astray. 19:11 "And he deceives those who..." 19:22 I want to just take a moment to say something. 19:26 Folks, just because you see something 19:33 doesn't necessarily make it right. 19:37 I hope you understand that. 19:39 Just because I can see something doesn't make it right. 19:46 In this day and age, I can tell you right now, 19:50 in this day and age you can see a lot of things 19:53 that are not right. 19:56 I mean we have ways, they have ways today of deceiving people 20:01 that is unbelievable. 20:03 And so, my faith must not be established on the fact 20:09 of just what I can see. 20:13 It has to be established on the Word of God. 20:16 I have to have it anchored in the Word of God and stand there. 20:20 And that's where it must be. 20:22 And so just because this false prophet can perform a sign 20:29 doesn't necessarily mean that is of God. 20:34 Just because somebody can heal somebody 20:44 does not make it of God. 20:48 You have to understand that. 20:51 Just because they can perform a sign 20:54 does not make it of God. 20:58 I have to come back and I have to make sure 21:02 that it squares with the Word of God. 21:06 If it doesn't square up with the Word of God... 21:10 No. 21:11 That is my only safety. 21:13 That's the only foundation I have is the Word of God. 21:18 And if the Word of God says this is the way it is, 21:22 then that's where I build my faith. 21:24 And so I'm trying to help you, don't be deceived by this. 21:30 "Telling those who dwell on the earth..." 21:40 Now it says he's going to make an image to the beast. 21:45 Well, we know who the beast is. 21:48 We don't have to guess on that. 21:51 The Scripture is perfectly clear. 21:52 We know who the beast is. 21:54 So if I'm going to make an image to the beast, 21:58 what does that mean? 22:02 It means that I have to make something 22:05 that looks like the beast. 22:08 I can't make an image of a dog look like a cat. 22:14 It has to look like that. 22:18 And if I make an image to the beast, 22:20 then it has to be like the beast. 22:23 And the beast was a coalition of two things. 22:28 It was a civil power and a church power 22:32 that came together to form the papal power. 22:36 And so when it says, this false prophet 22:39 is going to make an image to the beast, that means 22:41 he's going to bring certain things together. 22:46 And he was granted power to give what? 22:54 If he's given power to give breath to the image 22:56 of the beast, what does that mean? 23:00 That means he was given power to make it come to life. 23:05 That's what it says, come to life. 23:08 You remember the story of Pinocchio well enough 23:10 to apply that. 23:12 Okay? 23:13 It came to life. Okay. 23:16 But not only does it come to life, but he takes it 23:19 a step farther and says... 23:33 Anytime you find a power; a civil power, 23:38 a power in the Scripture, and it says that it speaks 23:45 and it causes, that word "speak" means legislation. 23:52 And when it says "cause," that means enforcement. 23:57 So it's saying that this false prophet is going to 24:04 enforce certain things, certain laws. 24:09 And they will be enforced upon the people, 24:12 and the people have to follow that. 24:15 Or else they're going to be what? 24:17 Killed. 24:19 You cannot... 24:24 You cannot go contrary to the laws of a civil government 24:33 and not suffer the consequences. 24:39 Should I say that again? 24:41 You cannot, folks, go contrary to the laws of a 24:47 civil government and not suffer the consequences. 24:53 Therefore, if the laws of the civil government 24:59 go crosswise to what I believe, then what am I going to do? 25:12 I'm going to suffer the consequences. 25:16 That's why is says they should be killed. 25:20 You need to weigh that in your heart. 25:24 You need to say, "Well, where do I stand?" 25:27 How much do you believe in God? 25:32 How much do you believe in Him? 25:33 Did you accept Him, when you accepted Christ, 25:36 did you accept Him for life and also for death? 25:42 Those are things that I have to weigh, I have to do. 25:46 I have to accept it. 25:47 I can remember talking to a lady about this. 25:50 Which she was in that position. 25:53 I asked her, I said, "You know, when you accepted Him, 25:57 did you accept Him for life or did you also 26:00 accept Him for death?" 26:03 And she thought about it for a while and finally she said, 26:06 "For both." 26:09 And she was faithful to the Lord. 26:13 And by the way, don't misunderstand me here. 26:16 God will honor your faith. 26:20 God will always honor your faith. 26:23 If you step out in faith honoring what the 26:26 Word of God says, He will honor that. 26:30 But that does not mean, that does not mean 26:35 that you may not face the consequences. 26:39 You understand that? 26:41 Because when God said, "Okay, honor Me. 26:47 Serve Me." 26:49 And the civil law said, "Okay, you can't pray to any God 26:56 for 30 days or you'll be thrown in the lion's den." 27:02 Okay, that's civil law. 27:05 If you break it, you're going to pay the consequences. 27:07 And Daniel said, "Sorry, that goes contrary to my belief." 27:17 Therefore, he knelt and prayed three times every day. 27:21 And what happened to him? 27:24 He paid the consequences. 27:25 They threw him in the lion's den. 27:30 See, God didn't run in there and say, 27:33 "Okay, you're not going to throw Daniel in the lion's den." 27:36 No, he had him thrown in the lion's den. 27:40 But He took care of him, He honored him. 27:44 By the way, in history and all, do you know why 27:50 the lions didn't eat Daniel? 27:54 Huh? 27:56 Do you? 27:58 Well there's this saying in history, it's because 28:00 Darius fed all of them before Daniel was thrown in there. 28:05 So they weren't hungry. 28:08 That's what the history says. 28:11 Do you understand? 28:14 So they said, "Okay," God said, "you want to see that? 28:17 That's what they want to believe?" 28:18 Then it says, "Okay," Darius said, "thrown all these people 28:22 that made that accusation of Daniel in the lion's den." 28:26 And the lions devoured them before they hit the ground. 28:30 No, that wasn't the case at all. 28:32 You better believe those lions were hungry. 28:35 No question about it, they were hungry. 28:37 Okay, so I must worship the Lord. 28:41 I must follow Him and do His will. 28:46 "And he caused all..." 28:49 Ask yourself right now, "Do I fit in this category?" 29:04 That's what this false prophet is going to do. 29:08 Receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead. 29:25 They had to have all those things in order to be able 29:28 to buy or to sell. 29:32 This is what this false prophet is going to do. 29:40 "Here is wisdom. 29:43 Let him who has understanding calculate..." 30:01 Now when you take a look at this, there is only one power, 30:08 one power on the entire face of the earth 30:11 that fits this time sequence. 30:14 No one else. 30:16 I want you to look at the time sequence tonight, 30:19 because that becomes very important. 30:22 Revelation 13 says... 30:32 The papal power had led people into captivity, 30:37 so it went into captivity. 30:41 Okay, it had killed with the sword, so it was 30:43 killed with the sword. 30:45 That's what the Scripture is saying. 30:46 So immediately then we find that something took place. 30:51 It went into captivity in 1798 when Napoleon's general, 30:57 Berthier, made his way into Rome, 31:00 made his entrance into Rome... 31:05 Just as the Scripture said; in 1798. 31:10 Then he says, "I saw another beast coming up 31:14 out of the earth..." 31:21 So he sees this other beast coming up out of the earth; 31:24 which is the two-horned beast, or the false prophet. 31:29 So we find that as this first beast of Revelation 13 31:34 goes down, the two-horned beast, the false prophet, is coming up. 31:41 That time sequence is important. 31:45 One of the great theologians, one of the great preachers 31:48 of the past, was a man by the name of John Wesley. 31:52 John Wesley, as he studied the book of Revelation, 31:56 he would just make notes and file them away. 32:00 And when he died, they found all these notes that John Wesley 32:03 had made on the book of Revelation. 32:05 And they published them in a book called, 32:07 Notes On Revelation. 32:09 And I want you to notice what he had to say, 32:12 because this is what John Wesley says about 32:14 this two-horned beast. 32:33 The 42 months of the first beast came to an end when? 32:38 In 1798. 32:40 Did you notice when John Wesley wrote this? 32:43 In 1752. 32:45 See, he was right on target. 32:47 He said that two-horned beast can't be far off, 32:52 for he is to appear at the end of the 42 months 32:56 of the first beast. 32:57 And he was right on time. 33:01 Watch the sequence. 33:03 Because this two-horned beast is to rise. 33:06 Remember, our forefathers developed problems 33:11 with England and they came over here to this country. 33:17 And they landed on the shores of the country in when? 33:21 Do you remember? 33:22 At Plymouth Rock, 1620 they landed. 33:28 They set up their colonies. 33:30 The colonies began to grow. 33:34 And as they grew, conflict developed between the 33:38 colonists and England. 33:42 And finally, they decided they wanted to be an 33:45 independent nation. 33:48 And you remember? 33:50 Watch the dates. 33:52 The signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776, 34:02 the Bill of Rights in 1789. 34:07 The Bill of Rights was adopted in 1791. 34:12 And the papal power went into captivity in 1798. 34:19 So you can see just as one is going down, 34:21 the other is coming up. 34:23 It's the only power in all of history that fits 34:27 that time sequence. 34:29 It says, "I saw another beast coming up out of the earth." 34:32 All the other beasts came up out of the sea. 34:36 "Then he said to me, 'The waters which you saw...'" 34:42 Water represented people. 34:44 That meant that this country wasn't going to be the result 34:48 of a great mass of people turning or overthrown 34:52 by another nation. 34:53 Our country came into being just exactly as it says 34:59 on the Statue of Liberty. 35:20 This is the way the country was settled. 35:22 Our forefathers and all moved to here. 35:24 They were coming from other countries. 35:27 They moved into the country and it was settled by them. 35:30 So it rose up out of the earth. 35:33 But it had two horns like a lamb. 35:39 Horns on a beast represent how it is governed or ruled. 35:45 Some of the horns have crowns on them, 35:48 meaning that it would be ruled by a monarch. 35:51 Others don't have anything on them. 35:54 This particular beast has two horns. 35:58 Those two horns represent the basis upon which this 36:03 government was established. 36:06 If you go back in history and read it, it was basically 36:08 established on two principles. 36:11 And as you go back and read history, 36:13 you can read about those principles. 36:15 Josiah Quincy. 36:17 If you don't know who he is, he was one of the 36:19 men back in the formation of this country. 36:22 If you go to Boston, you can still go to Quincy's Market. 36:27 And it says... 36:39 "In defense of our civil..." 36:41 And you see they established this country on the fact 36:44 that they wanted government by the people, for the people, 36:47 and through the people. 36:48 And they established, the other principle was 36:50 that they would give to every man, woman, and child 36:54 the right to worship as they pleased. 36:57 They said, "We want a country without a pope." 37:00 That's what they said. 37:11 Patrick Henry, you remember him? 37:14 He said... 37:44 So this country was established as a young country. 37:50 That's why it speaks of two horns like a lamb. 37:53 It mean that it was young. 37:55 But it would be established on Christian principles, 37:58 because it said it had two horns like a lamb. 38:01 And in the Bible, the lamb represents what? 38:05 Jesus. 38:06 "But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a..." 38:10 "...lamb without blemish and without spot." 38:13 "Saying with a loud voice, 'Worthy is the lamb 38:15 who was slain..." 38:21 So this country was established on Christian principles. 38:24 And we find, our forefathers built this country on that. 38:29 When the Revolutionary War was over 38:33 and they called a constitutional congress, 38:38 they sent delegates in from all the different colonies. 38:42 But that war had so divided them. 38:46 In fact, there was no communication between 38:48 the different colonies. 38:49 It had divided them so bad that many of those colonies 38:54 felt like they were the only ones that had supported the war. 38:58 And they felt nobody else had done anything. 39:01 So there was a lot of hard feelings. 39:03 And so when they went to the constitutional congress, 39:08 a great big argument broke out between them 39:12 because they felt the others hadn't done their part. 39:15 In fact, the delegation from New York went home. 39:18 And it looked like the constitutional congress 39:21 was going to fall apart when Benjamin Franklin stood up 39:26 and he said this... 40:09 And by the way, with that speech he was able to get them focused 40:14 and they went ahead and sat down and they wrote 40:18 the Constitution of the United States of America. 40:22 Now, even George Washington, at his inaugural address, 40:28 had this to say... 41:09 Boy, if we heard things like that today. 41:36 And so, I'm just trying to get across that our 41:39 forefathers believed in God. 41:40 They were men, God fearing men and women. 41:43 And this country was established on those principles. 41:46 I wish that the Scripture stopped there. 41:51 I wish that it did. 41:53 But unfortunately, it doesn't. 41:56 Because it says this two-horned beast will speak as a dragon. 42:02 Now if the lamb represents Jesus, 42:06 the dragon represents who? 42:08 The devil. 42:10 So it says he's going do things. 42:28 That power had gone contrary to God. 42:31 And it says that this two-horned beast, which is the 42:35 false prophet, he is going to go contrary to the Lord also. 42:40 And not only is he going to go contrary to the Lord, 42:43 but he's going to put teeth in it. 42:46 He's going to pass laws. 42:58 Now I want you to listen very carefully to that statement. 43:01 He performs what? 43:03 "...great signs so that he even makes fire come down 43:08 from heaven on earth in the sight of men. 43:11 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth 43:14 by those signs which he was granted to do 43:17 in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell 43:20 on the earth to make an image to the beast who was 43:23 wounded by the sword and lived." 43:27 Okay, now we're going to put things together. 43:44 Now are you seeing what I'm doing? 43:46 Because the Scripture here is tying the false prophet 43:50 to this two-horned beast. 43:53 That's what it just did. 43:55 Because he worked signs to deceive the people... 44:04 So the Scripture takes and ties, absolutely, that this 44:08 two-horned beast of Revelation 13 44:12 is the false prophet. 44:15 Which history and Scripture tells us is that of the 44:18 United States of America. 44:21 And so it says, it will be the false prophet. 44:25 And this false prophet is going to give his support 44:29 to that of the papacy. 44:31 So the beast of Revelation 13, the first beast, 44:34 is that of the papacy. 44:35 The false prophet is that of the United States. 44:42 So we have three. Okay? 44:45 We have the dragon, which represents the devil. 44:52 We have the beast, which represents the papacy. 44:56 And we have the false prophet, who represents 44:59 the United States. 45:01 And these three form a confederacy to do 45:08 what the devil leads them to do and to go out and deceive 45:14 the whole world to bring them together. 45:17 That's what it does. 45:18 And it says they go out and deceive. 45:20 It is under this triumvirate of these three powers 45:27 that you're going to have the mark of the beast 45:31 put into power. 45:33 Because it says they would deceive the whole world. 45:37 Not just a few, but the whole world would be deceived by them. 45:53 That means, as I told you, that means enforcement. 45:57 It's going to be enforced upon the people. 46:01 So God has told us before it ever happens, folks, 46:06 that you have the antichrist, you're going to have 46:09 his partner and that of the false prophet. 46:13 And these are going to be, how should I say, 46:17 backed by that of the devil, or the dragon. 46:21 This is what is going to happen. 46:22 And they will enforce certain laws. 46:26 Churches... 46:28 Churches have no power. 46:33 They cannot enforce their beliefs or their dogma. 46:38 They have to depend on civil power to do that. 46:42 And this is what you have happening. 46:55 I want to just take a moment and say, 46:58 when it talks about receiving it in the forehead, 47:02 it's not talking about somebody coming around 47:05 and branding you on the forehead. 47:08 That's not going to happen. 47:10 Or putting some computer chip in your forehead. 47:14 That's not going to happen, folks. 47:17 When it talks about it being received in the forehead, 47:20 it means you and I give mental acceptance to something. 47:26 That's what it's talking about. 47:28 The forehead represents intelligence. 47:30 It means that I give mental acceptance to this. 47:33 That's how you receive the mark on your forehead. 47:37 And so it says that they will cause the earth to worship 47:41 and all because they accept what the beast and the 47:45 false prophet are saying. 47:46 Alright? 47:47 It also says it can be received in the right hand. 47:50 By the way, there's something in contrast to this. 47:54 And that is the seal of God. 47:58 The seal of God, the Scripture says, is placed where? 48:03 In the forehead, that's what the Scripture says. 48:05 It's placed in the forehead. 48:07 Because that means that I give acceptance to what God says. 48:10 I follow Him, I obey Him, and I do His will. 48:13 That is receiving it in my forehead. 48:17 Never in the Scripture does it say you can receive the 48:20 seal of God in your right hand. 48:26 You can receive the mark of the beast in the right hand. 48:29 Because the right hand represents, how should I say it, 48:34 it represents that I go along with it. 48:37 I give my hand to it, I cooperate with it. 48:40 That's what the right hand represents. 48:42 And so the mark of the beast, they'll give it to you 48:45 any way they can get you to accept it. 48:47 But God will not accept just the right hand. 48:50 You've got to believe it. 48:52 You've got to accept it in your forehead. 48:54 It's got to be part of your belief. 48:56 And this is what it's talking about here. 48:58 And it says it would be received in their forehead. 49:11 So it's going to make it very, very hard 49:15 that you and I must have the mark of the beast 49:18 or the number of his name. 49:20 How that will be enforced, I'm not positive. 49:24 I don't know that anybody is. 49:27 But I can say, it wouldn't be hard this day and age. 49:32 You know, we have great problems going on right now 49:37 throughout the world about finances. 49:40 And I can easily see the day coming in which they'll take 49:45 money away and everybody will have a credit card. 49:49 And the moment they do that, then they can boycott you. 49:53 You can't be able to buy or sell. 49:57 Okay. 49:59 "Here is..." What? 50:02 "...wisdom." 50:04 That refers back to the maskilim. 50:09 The wise; here are the wise. 50:25 Now God has given us one point after another 50:28 to identify who these powers are. 50:31 He does the same thing here. 50:32 Because this number 666, folks, is not the mark of the beast. 50:38 The number 666 is a number that God gives us 50:42 to identify who the beast is. 50:46 That's what it's about. 50:48 And so it says his number is 666. 50:53 So when we take a look at it, it just works this way. 50:59 The pope, who is the head of the papal power, 51:04 one of his official names that he uses is Vicarius Filii Dei. 51:12 Vicarius Filii Dei, folks, is Latin. 51:18 And if you remember, Latin letters carry numerical value. 51:24 Okay. 51:25 In fact, you were taught them in school. 51:28 You were taught something called Roman numerals. 51:33 That's what it is. 51:34 Those are Latin letters that have numerical value. 51:39 And so in Roman numerals, "I" was worth how much? 51:46 Huh? 51:47 One. 51:49 "V" was worth five. 51:52 Fifty was worth... 51:56 Or I should say, "L" was worth how much? 51:59 Fifty, excuse me. 52:01 Okay? 52:02 "C" is worth one hundred. 52:05 Those were Roman numerals that you learned. 52:07 Probably have not had much use for them all your life. 52:11 But they were given so you can understand this. 52:13 So if we take the name, "Vicarius Filii Dei;" 52:17 and "Vicarius" and you break it down, the "V" is worth 5, 52:22 the "I" is worth 1, the "C" is worth 100, 52:25 "A" has no numerical value, "R" has no numerical value, 52:29 "I" has a value of 1, "U" carries the same 52:33 numerical value as "V." 52:35 In fact, "U" is a modern letter. 52:38 You can go to many of the old courthouses across this country 52:42 and you'll find "court" spelled with a "v," not with a "u." 52:47 Okay, so it carries the same value as 5. 52:51 Okay, and "S" has no numerical value. 52:54 That gives you 112. 52:56 "Filii." 52:57 "F" has how much? 53:00 It has no numerical value. 53:02 "I" has the value of 1, "L" has the value of 50, 53:05 the two "I's" each have the value of 1 each. 53:08 And "Dei." 53:10 "D" is worth 500, "E" has no numerical value, 53:15 "I" is 1. 53:16 So it gives you 501. 53:18 If you add those up, it comes out 666. 53:23 This was given to identify this power. 53:27 So what I've tried to get across to you tonight 53:32 is you must watch. 53:34 Because you're going to see these powers coming together. 53:40 You're going to see the papacy and the United States 53:44 working together to carry out their objective. 53:48 And don't get... How should I say. 53:51 Don't get distracted. 53:52 Don't let some things that happen in the news 53:55 carry you off and you miss really what is happening 53:58 in the world. 54:00 You need to be aware of where we are, what is happening, 54:04 what's taking place, as it is happening throughout the world 54:08 this very day. 54:12 That's why the Scripture says that you and I need to be wise. 54:20 You need to spend time in the Word of God. 54:23 You need to study it. 54:25 And as you do, let the Lord lead you. 54:29 And He will help you understand these things 54:32 and you'll see it as we continue to go through 54:35 the Word of God and study it. 54:36 So God will bless you as we study the Word of God 54:39 in a very, very definite way. 54:42 So let us pray. 54:44 Heavenly Father, we thank You that You have revealed 54:51 in Your Word what is happening right now here at the end. 54:56 And we can see signs of this today, Lord, 54:59 that is taking place. 55:01 Bless each one that is watching tonight, or listening, 55:07 or is here in person. 55:09 Lord, may they commit their life to You. 55:14 May they purpose that they will be faithful to Your Word. 55:20 And Lord, when it comes to the place that it goes crosswise 55:26 with even the things that a civil government may say, 55:29 that they're going to put themselves on Your side, 55:33 they're going to stand with You. 55:35 Forgive us, Lord. 55:37 Forgive us of where we have lacked in faith. 55:41 May we realize that You love us and that You care for us. 55:45 And that You will care for us all the way through, 55:50 even to Your coming. 55:52 Bless each one. 55:54 Keep them close to You. 55:55 We pray in Christ's name, amen. 56:00 Now tomorrow morning... 56:04 Tomorrow morning our subject is, The King of the North. 56:08 The King of the North. 56:09 We're going to be looking at Daniel the 11th chapter. 56:14 And in the 11th chapter, it talks specifically about 56:19 this power, which identifies it as the antichrist; 56:23 the king of the north. 56:25 Now you see, we've looked at several symbolisms here tonight, 56:28 or the last few nights. 56:30 We've looked the little horn, we've looked at the beast. 56:33 Now we're going to take a look at the king of the north. 56:36 These are all symbols of the antichrist, as God has explained 56:40 in His Word what is happening and what is taking place. 56:44 So you and I need to sit down and study those things 56:47 and see what is happening. 56:49 And I'll assure you that as we go into the subject of the 56:53 king of the north, we'll share with you some things 56:56 that I hope will be helpful to you as you see 56:59 where we are, what's happening, what's taking place. 57:02 So folks, I commend to you again the Word of God 57:09 that you take the time to study it. 57:13 Don't let anything come in your way. 57:18 Spend time studying the Word of God. 57:21 It will help you more than anything else that I can 57:24 recommend to you. 57:25 God bless you.
