00:06 Hello, I'm Yvonne Shelton. 00:08 I have to say that this is a 00:10 most uncomfortable situation for me. 00:12 It's not just that I'm speaking to the world church 00:16 which in and of itself is pretty daunting. 00:18 It's also that I'm very aware of the politically correct world 00:22 in which we live 00:23 where many accuse others of judging and hate speech 00:26 when one is merely calling sin by its rightful name. 00:30 So, let me give my disclaimer upfront. 00:33 I'm a sinner saved by grace 00:35 and what I'm sharing with you today 00:37 is as much for me... as for everyone who hears my voice. 00:40 I also want to say to my friends, patients, 00:43 professors and colleagues 00:45 with whom I practiced Acupuncture, 00:47 Iridology and Reflexology... I love you dearly 00:49 and I'm not indicting you as individuals 00:52 or on a personal level 00:54 but the philosophies that you taught, practiced and supported 00:59 probably unknowingly were tainted. 01:01 So, please know that what I share today... 01:04 I share with love. 01:05 If you have your Bibles, let's read 1st Timothy 4:1 01:09 in the New King James Version. 01:11 I'll read it in your hearing. 01:13 "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times 01:17 some will depart from the faith, 01:19 giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. " 01:23 My Presentation today is entitled: Deceiving Spirits. 01:27 Pray with me, 01:28 "Dear Lord, I just pray for Your power... Your anointing, 01:32 I pray that You will use me. 01:34 Thank you, in Jesus' name, amen. " 01:37 One of the gravest dangers of the modern Christian 01:42 is deception. 01:45 In Matthew 24 verses 3 and 4, 01:48 the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, 01:50 "Tell us, when will these things be 01:53 and what will be the sign of Your coming 01:55 and of the end of the age?" 01:56 And the very first thing that Jesus said to them was, 01:59 "Take heed that no one deceives you. 02:02 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' 02:05 and will deceive many. " 02:06 Indeed most of us know that we're living in the last days. 02:10 Have you ever thought that maybe being deceived 02:14 is a choice? 02:15 If it weren't, Jesus wouldn't have told us not to be deceived. 02:19 He wouldn't have told us to take heed 02:22 or check ourselves out. 02:23 We're not victims of deception... 02:26 we choose to be deceived. 02:28 It sounds kind of harsh doesn't it? 02:30 Well, Jesus was well aware of the work of the great deceiver. 02:34 He knew exactly what had happened in the Garden of Eden 02:37 in the scene of the first earthly deception. 02:41 Ah, that beautiful Garden of Eden... 02:44 Adam and Eve were so happy there. 02:47 Elohim in His great creative work 02:50 had given them a paradise in which to live. 02:52 In Genesis 2:9 it says, 02:54 "And out of the ground the Lord made every tree grow 02:57 that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. 03:00 The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, 03:03 and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. " 03:06 And verses 16 and 17 say, 03:08 "And the Lord commanded the man, saying, 03:10 'Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 03:13 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil 03:16 you shall not eat, 03:17 for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die. '" 03:21 Now, notice that every tree was beautiful. 03:24 It was pleasant to the sight and good for food... every tree, 03:28 there were no poisonous plants... 03:30 no nasty fruit... 03:31 Elohim the Creator God knew full well 03:35 what Satan was capable of 03:36 and what his intentions were. 03:38 God had warned Adam and Eve 03:40 to stay away from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. 03:43 So, let's apply our sanctified imaginations here. 03:47 On this particular day, 03:49 Eve found herself looking at the forbidden tree 03:52 for in it was a beautiful serpent that could talk. 03:55 This must be a special tree 03:58 for no other tree in the garden had a talking serpent in it. 04:01 She moved closer to it than she had ever moved before. 04:05 She knew she shouldn't 04:07 but it wouldn't hurt to see what the serpent was doing 04:10 or hear what he was saying. 04:13 She was transfixed... beguiled 04:15 and every other word you can think of 04:17 to describe her attraction to this unusual creature 04:20 and then the serpent asked her, 04:22 "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree 04:26 in the garden?'" 04:27 Eve answered... I'm going to paraphrase... 04:29 "We may eat any of the fruit from all the other trees, 04:33 except this one... 04:34 God said that if we eat or even touch this fruit, 04:38 we will surely die... " 04:39 and can't you just hear the serpent kind of chuckle 04:42 as though she's naive when he answered, 04:45 "Huh, you will not surely die, 04:47 for God knows that in the day that you eat it, 04:50 your eyes will be opened and you will be like God 04:54 knowing good and evil. " 04:55 Now, what did the serpent offer Eve 05:00 that was different from any other tree in the garden? 05:03 Remember, all the trees were beautiful... 05:05 all had fruit that was good for food. 05:08 No... this was different... 05:09 it was a tree to make her wise... 05:12 this tree would give her wisdom... 05:15 hidden knowledge that she didn't have before. 05:17 It would make her like God 05:19 and she took the fruit... ate it 05:22 and gave it to Adam and he ate it too. 05:24 I find it very interesting that in verse 22 of Genesis 3 05:30 the Lord God said, 05:31 "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, 05:33 to know good and evil. " 05:35 Well, wait a minute... 05:36 was God saying that He was threatened by His creatures 05:39 because they now have knowledge that only He has? 05:42 Of course not. 05:44 What I do think he was saying was that 05:46 Adam and Eve had now been disobedient 05:48 and their eyes were now opened with evil. 05:51 Through their disobedience, 05:53 their natures were immediately changed 05:55 from perfection at Creation to sinful human beings. 05:59 They had experienced sin 06:01 and unlike God their Creator could not be exposed to it 06:04 without being tainted by it. 06:06 They had to be removed from the garden. 06:09 Eve had been duped by the deceiver 06:12 and Adam went along with it. 06:14 Eve's desire for hidden wisdom 06:17 is what gets so many folks caught up today. 06:21 Let's re-examine today's Scripture. 06:23 In 1st Timothy 4:1 it says, "Now the Spirit expressly says, 06:28 that in latter times some will depart from the faith, 06:31 giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. " 06:34 In this verse, the Holy Spirit warns us of three dangers: 06:38 The danger of departing from the faith or apostasy... 06:42 the danger of deception by deceiving spirits 06:45 and the danger of doctrines of demons or false teachings 06:49 from demons. 06:50 This idea of deception is so important 06:53 that Jesus and the Holy Spirit warned us about it. 06:57 At one point, I too was in spiritual danger 07:03 and caught up in deception. 07:05 I'm a third generation Seventh-day Adventist. 07:09 I grew up in a family in which my parents and grandparents 07:12 at some point all worked for the Denomination. 07:15 I was educated in Adventist schools 07:17 until my sophomore in High School 07:19 and then I also attended what was Oakwood College... 07:23 it's Oakwood University now 07:24 at the time and until my Junior year I attended Oakwood 07:28 and so, I knew the beliefs of our church quite well. 07:32 I remained an Adventist Christian 07:34 until after my mother died 07:36 and after her death... I began to drift away from the church, 07:39 I became interested in Horoscopes and as I look back, 07:42 I realize that that was a point of entry for Satan. 07:45 It seemed pretty harmless, you know, 07:47 checking out compatible signs and personality traits... 07:51 there couldn't be anything wrong with that... could there? 07:54 Well, in Proverbs 14:12 the Bible says, 07:57 "There is a way that seemeth right to a man, 08:00 but the end thereof is the way of death. " 08:04 I began to sing professionally in my late 20s 08:07 and with that emerging career, 08:10 I began to drift further away from the Lord. 08:13 I remember going to a Studio where one day I met a guy 08:16 that told me that he was a Wiccan... a male witch 08:18 and he seemed pretty normal. 08:19 He wasn't a weirdo... he just... 08:21 he said that not all witches were bad 08:24 and that they worshipped nature. 08:26 He asked me if there was something 08:27 that I wanted him to pray for for me 08:29 and I told him that I... I wanted to be rich 08:32 and he said... he would pray for that. 08:34 I'm so ashamed 08:37 that I actually had someone pray to the enemy of God 08:41 to ask for wealth for me. 08:43 Why did I do that? 08:45 What was I thinking? 08:47 Well, fast forward to the year 2000 08:51 and by now I had returned to the church... praise the Lord 08:54 and now, instead of making my living singing, 08:57 I was into Alternative Medicine. 08:59 I became a Naturopathic Doctor... 09:01 I was certified in Iridology, Reflexology... 09:04 I became a Massage Therapist... 09:06 I studied Kinesiology, Aromatherapy... 09:09 I was on a roll with New Age Medicine modalities 09:12 and I didn't even realize 09:14 that there was anything wrong with them. 09:15 I stayed away from Reiki which is a form of massage 09:18 and involves the transfer of energy 09:20 from the Practitioner to the Client 09:22 but I was open to learning more. 09:24 So, I decided to go to Acupuncture School. 09:26 During my journey, I was more and more interested 09:30 in learning about natural medicine. 09:32 It all sounds pretty harmless doesn't it? 09:34 Little by little, I became driven to know things 09:38 that others didn't. 09:40 I enjoyed the power that I had 09:41 to stop pain in just a touch. 09:43 I could recommend an herb 09:45 that would make a difference in someone's symptoms. 09:47 My pride was being massaged 09:50 as I continued to grow in my various fields of study 09:53 and the perennial student that I am, 09:54 I became obsessed with learning 09:56 about these different modalities. 09:57 I acquired multiple certifications and degrees 10:00 and I decided to look into traditional Chinese medicine 10:04 also known as TCM. 10:06 TCM training would offer me a way to diagnose and treat 10:09 ailments using the TCM Model 10:11 so I'd be in a supervised clinical environment 10:14 learning from some great professors in my field. 10:17 So, I went to the Dallas College in Oriental Medicine 10:20 and was pretty impressed. 10:21 I asked the Rep from the School 10:24 whether or not Acupuncture was related to Eastern Religion 10:27 and he told me... there was no direction connection 10:29 between them, although he said, 10:31 Acupuncture does have some ideas from Daoism. 10:35 Well, that was enough for me. 10:37 Huh, I later discovered though that that really wasn't true. 10:41 Acupuncture is directly influenced by Daoism 10:45 and its Cosmology. 10:46 So, let's talk a little bit about Daoism. 10:48 Daoism is about "The Dao" 10:52 or otherwise known as "The Way. " 10:55 The Dao is said to be the ultimate creative principle 10:58 of the universe. 10:59 All things are unified and connected in the Dao. 11:02 The core basic belief and doctrine of Daoism 11:05 is that the Dao is the origin and law 11:08 of all things in the universe. 11:09 So, already, are you seeing a conflict? 11:12 Jesus said in John 14:6, 11:15 "I am the way, the truth, and the life: 11:18 no man commeth unto the Father, but by Me. " 11:20 He didn't say that the "Dao" is the way. 11:23 The "Dao" is not God... 11:25 the "Dao" and "Daoism" is not worshipped, 11:27 in fact, in Daoism there's no Omnipotent Being 11:30 beyond the Cosmos 11:32 who created and controls the universe. 11:34 The Dao is some impersonal force that governs and creates 11:37 but there are Deities that are worshipped in Dao's temples 11:41 and these Deities... 11:42 most of which are borrowed from other cultures 11:44 are a part of the universe 11:46 and depend like everything else on the Dao. 11:49 This is what they believe. 11:50 They also believe that people can become gods or live forever 11:54 to practicing certain rituals like Eastern Meditation... 11:58 Feng Shui... 12:00 Fortune Telling including Astrology and the "I Ching" 12:02 and other forms of divination. 12:05 Talk about doctrines of demons! 12:07 Eastern Meditation... 12:09 Spiritual Immortality... 12:11 Astrology and Divination... 12:13 man becoming deities... 12:14 all of these rituals and practices are a part of Daoism 12:18 which is the foundation of Acupuncture and TCM. 12:22 Pause... 12:23 Now Jesus said in Matthew 7 verses 15 to 20, 12:29 "Beware of false prophets, 12:32 who come to you in sheep's clothing, 12:34 but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 12:37 You will know them by their fruits. 12:39 Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes 12:41 or figs from thistles? 12:43 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, 12:47 but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 12:49 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, 12:52 nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 12:54 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down 12:57 and thrown into the fire. 12:59 Therefore by their fruits you will know them. " 13:01 So, I have a saying, 13:03 "To know the fruit... check the root. " 13:06 We've already seen that the root of Acupuncture and TCM 13:10 is Daoism 13:12 and Eastern Philosophy and religion... 13:14 the foundation of which is Spiritualism and Astrology. 13:19 Daoism is the source of the dualistic concept 13:22 of Yin and Yang... the most fundamental tenet of TCM. 13:26 It's a harmony of opposites 13:29 and we have a symbol for the... the Yin and Yang Symbol 13:33 and it is a Daoist symbol. 13:36 It shows opposites 13:38 and these opposites are not conflicting forces 13:40 but complementary ones. 13:42 With this concept, there must be a balance. 13:45 According to the classic TCM Text Plain Questions, 13:50 Yin and Yang... and I quote, 13:52 "Yin and Yang are the laws of heaven and earth... 13:54 the great framework of everything... 13:56 the parents of change... 13:57 the root and beginning of life and death. " 13:59 According to this theory then, 14:02 Yin and Yang are the sources of life. 14:04 God is nowhere in the picture. 14:06 Yin and Yang are the foundation of Dao's cosmology. 14:10 Cosmology is the science 14:11 of the origin and development of the universe. 14:14 So, let me see if I can explain this more simply. 14:16 Think of day and night for example... 14:18 they're opposites, right? 14:20 Well, at some point, day becomes night 14:22 and night becomes day. 14:24 They're opposite yet interdependent. 14:26 Consider hot and cold... Yang is hot and Yin is cold. 14:30 According to Dao's philosophy and TCM, 14:33 health is the balancing of the Yin and Yang. 14:35 Too much of either creates an imbalance 14:38 that must be remedied for there to be true health. 14:40 Let's take another look at the Yin-Yang Symbol. 14:44 As you can see, the symbol reflects fluidity 14:47 and inter-connectedness of opposites. 14:50 The black segment is Yin and the white segment is Yang. 14:54 The black circle is Yin and that's in Yang 14:59 and the white segment and the white circle Yang 15:03 is in the black segment 15:04 indicating that there is Yin and Yang and Yang and Yin. 15:08 Try saying that five times. 15:10 In Daoism, there are no absolutes. 15:13 In other words, there's good and evil 15:16 and evil and good... there's both in everything. 15:20 Now, how does that line up with the Word of God? 15:23 Is there evil... any evil in God? 15:26 No way... 15:28 1st John 1:5 says, 15:30 "This is the message which we have heard from Him 15:32 and declare to you that God is light 15:34 and in Him is no darkness at all. " 15:36 There's no balancing of good and evil in God. 15:39 He is light... He is sinless... 15:41 He is pure... He is perfect. 15:43 Spiritualism is a part of Daoism as well. 15:47 The first encounter that I had 15:49 with a relationship with Spiritualism to Acupuncture 15:52 was when in my Theory of Acupuncture Class, 15:55 I was introduced to the Hun... the Po... and the Shen. 16:00 They comprise the Dao's concept of the five Shen. 16:03 The Five Shen are the five spirits 16:07 associated with each of the body's five Yin organ systems. 16:10 Heart, kidney, spleen, liver and lungs. 16:13 Each of these spirits has a connection 16:15 not only with the Yin organ and its associated element 16:18 but also with the energy of a planet 16:22 and the direction which is Astrology. 16:25 So, to wake up the Shen of the organs, 16:27 is similar to calling in the spirits for a Shamanic ritual. 16:32 The Hun is the ethereal soul 16:34 and the Po is the corporeal soul. 16:37 If this is not spiritualism, I don't know what is. 16:44 When I first read about the Hun and the Po, 16:49 I was horrified straight up. 16:52 Additionally, when I studied Acupuncture itself, 16:56 I learned that there was a point on the wrist called the Shenmen 17:00 and when I needled this point, 17:02 I was able to induce a profound sense of relaxation 17:06 in my patients. 17:07 Some would see colors as they relaxed. 17:10 For your information, by the way, 17:14 Shenmen when translated means: Spirit Gate. 17:17 Believe it or not though, I rationalized the whole thing 17:21 and I thought: I'll just keep those things 17:23 that fit into my Christian worldview 17:25 and discard the rest. 17:27 I rationalized the Christian Physicians 17:30 don't espouse Evolution 17:32 so I could be a TCM Practitioner 17:34 and not embrace Eastern Religion or Eastern religious philosophy. 17:38 How deceived I was. 17:40 I wanted to be an Acupuncturist 17:43 and I had set my heart upon that goal 17:46 and I wasn't going to be moved. 17:48 Astrology is another aspect of TCM that you should know about. 17:52 When I was in School, it wasn't presented openly. 17:57 Daoism and Astrology are interwoven in TCM Cosmology. 18:01 Dao's Cosmology teaches that the body's vital energy or Chi 18:06 travels through 12 meridians or pathways. 18:09 These meridians run from head to toe 18:12 and interconnect around 361 primary points on the skin. 18:16 There's a strong possibility that this web of points 18:20 was based on Astrological Principles and Solar Mythology. 18:24 This episteme or set of fundamental beliefs 18:26 are also indicating that a person's health and destiny 18:30 were determined by the position of the sun... moon... 18:34 the five planets and the person's time of birth. 18:38 According to this worldview, each body segment 18:41 corresponds to one of the 12 houses of the Chinese Zodiac. 18:45 The meridians are named according to their degree 18:48 of Yin and Yang 18:49 from Tai Yang to Jue Yin 18:51 which are terms that describe the phases and positions 18:54 of the sun and moon. 18:55 We learned about the five-element theory 18:57 and it could be used to determine a treatment protocol 19:01 for the TCM patient. 19:03 Five-Element Theory is one of the major systems of thought 19:06 within this medical model. 19:08 It is an important theoretical foundation of TCM 19:11 and serves as one of the major diagnostic 19:15 and treatment protocols. 19:16 When I studied the five elements: 19:19 Wood... Fire... Earth... Metal and Water, 19:21 I never put two and two together. 19:23 I never thought about those Earth Signs 19:25 that I used to read about or Water Signs... 19:27 all of the years that I innocently read horoscopes 19:31 and I never made the connection. 19:33 It just never popped into my head 19:35 and yet we learned that certain organs 19:37 are connected to those elements 19:39 and each element is connected to a planet. 19:43 In other words, the five-element theory 19:46 was an extension of the astrological system. 19:50 So, how does this line up with the Word? 19:53 In Deuteronomy 18 verses 9 through 14, 19:57 God says, "When you enter 20:00 the land which the Lord your God giveth thee... 20:03 do not learn to imitate the detestable ways 20:05 of the nations there. 20:07 Let no one be found among you 20:08 who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, 20:11 who practices divination or sorcery, 20:14 interprets omens.. engages in witchcraft 20:17 or casts spells, 20:19 or who is a Medium or Spiritist or who consults the dead. 20:23 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; 20:27 because of these same detestable practices 20:30 the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you. 20:33 You must be blameless before the Lord your God. 20:37 The nations you will dispossess 20:39 listened to those who practiced sorcery or divination. 20:42 But as for you, 20:44 the Lord your God has not permitted you to do so. " 20:48 In Isaiah 47 verses 13 to 15 it says, 20:51 "Let your astrologers come forward, 20:54 those stargazers who make predictions month by month, 20:58 let them save you from what is coming upon you. 21:01 Surely they are like stubble; 21:02 the fire will burn them up. 21:04 They cannot even save themselves from the power of the flame. 21:08 These are not coals for warmth; 21:10 this is not a fire to sit by. 21:12 That is all they are to you... 21:14 these you have dealt with and labored with since childhood. 21:17 All of them go on in their error; 21:20 there is not one that can save you. " 21:23 So, how can you recognize 21:27 and overcome the deceiving spirits 21:29 and doctrines of demons in your life? 21:32 Ask yourself these five questions: 21:34 Number 1: Do you really want to know the truth? 21:38 If not, ask God to help you to really want to know. 21:41 Be honest with Him. 21:42 He already knows your heart. 21:44 If you really want to know, 21:46 God will reveal the truth to you. 21:48 John 7:17 says, "If any man will do His will, 21:51 he shall know of the doctrine, 21:53 whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. " 21:56 And James 1:5 says, 21:59 "If any of you lacks wisdom, 22:01 let him ask of God, 22:02 who gives to all liberally and without reproach, 22:05 and it will be given to him. " 22:07 Number2: Ask yourself, 22:09 "What is the Holy Spirit telling you about this?" 22:12 Pray and ask God to show you the truth 22:15 through His Holy Spirit 22:16 and to help you to receive it with an open heart and mind. 22:20 Jesus said, "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, 22:23 He will guide you into all truth; 22:26 for He will not speak on His own authority, 22:28 but whatever He hears He will speak; 22:30 and He will tell you things to come. 22:32 He will glorify Me, 22:34 for He will take of what is Mine, 22:36 and declare it to you. " 22:37 That's found in John 16 verses 13 and 14. 22:41 The Spirit is going to glorify Jesus. 22:44 That means that any philosophy or ideology 22:47 that does not acknowledge... acknowledge Jesus... 22:50 is not of Him. 22:51 Number 3: Ask yourself, 22:53 How does this philosophy or ideology line up with Scripture? 22:57 1st John 4:1 says, 22:59 "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, 23:01 but test the spirits, whether they are of God; 23:04 because many false prophets have gone out into the world. " 23:07 And Isaiah 8:20 says, 23:09 "To the law and to the testimony: 23:11 if they speak not according to this word, 23:13 there is no light in them. " 23:15 Number 4: Ask yourself, 23:18 "Upon what is the foundation built?" 23:21 Is it built on syncretism? 23:23 Syncretism means... 23:24 a little bit of this and a little bit of that. 23:26 Or, is it built on the Word of God and its principles? 23:30 Matthew 7 verses 24 to 27 says, 23:33 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, 23:37 I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 23:41 and the rain descended, the floods came, 23:43 and the winds blew and beat on that house; 23:45 and it did not fall, 23:47 for it was founded on the rock. 23:48 But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, 23:51 and does not do them, 23:53 will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 23:56 and the rain descended, the floods came, 23:58 and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. 24:01 And great was its fall. " 24:04 Friends, you can't mix Christianity 24:07 and Eastern religions. 24:09 Don't dabble with the Dark Side. 24:11 1st Corinthians 10:21 says, 24:13 "You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; 24:17 you cannot partake of the Lord's table 24:19 and of the table of demons. " 24:22 And the fifth question to ask yourself is: 24:25 5. Who are the leading proponents of this philosophy 24:28 and ideology? 24:30 What fruit are they bearing? 24:32 2nd Corinthians 6:14 says, 24:34 "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. 24:37 For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? 24:41 Or what fellowship can light have with darkness. " 24:44 I remember the very day that I realized 24:48 that I had been deceived. 24:49 I was so broken 24:52 because I realized that I had let my pride 24:55 and the desire for hidden wisdom... the occult... 24:59 propelled me into a Practice that... 25:01 that was disapproved of by God. 25:03 I remember going to a Prayer Meeting that night 25:07 and... and thinking how I had let God down 25:12 and I was so... so broken up about it. 25:17 Pause... 25:21 God has been so merciful to me and He's there for you too. 25:27 In 2009... that very day... 25:30 I walked away from Acupuncture and TCM 25:33 and I never looked back. 25:35 Praise God. 25:36 I'm so grateful that He led me out of that Practice. 25:40 But what about you? 25:42 What are you holding on to 25:44 that is slowly and suddenly leading you away from God? 25:48 Have you gotten caught up in deception? 25:52 Are you supporting any of these practices 25:54 that are rooted in Eastern religion and philosophies? 25:59 Acupuncture and Yoga and Martial Arts and these... 26:04 these other practices that are leading you away from God 26:08 and you don't even know it. 26:10 You don't even realize it. 26:12 You can get so adrift that it's so subtle 26:18 and it's so imperceptible 26:20 that you're so far away from God... 26:23 you don't even realize it. 26:24 Ask yourself: Are you as interested in reading the Word 26:29 as you were before? 26:30 Are you as interested in praying as you were before? 26:34 Jesus is reaching out to you today. 26:37 Won't you determine in your heart 26:39 to walk away from whatever it is 26:42 that's holding you captive? 26:44 You don't have to be deceived. 26:45 You can choose to walk in victory. 26:48 Today is the day of your salvation. 26:51 Today you can be delivered. 26:52 Jesus can set you free from every deception 26:56 and right now, you can give yourself wholly 26:59 and totally to Him. 27:00 Please accept His invitation and turn away from the darkness. 27:06 He's waiting... and if you allow Him into your heart 27:10 fully and completely, 27:11 He will destroy the deceptions that bind you 27:15 and you will be free. 27:17 Pray with me. 27:19 "Lord God, right now we come before You. 27:23 We thank you that you will receive us with open arms. 27:26 When we have been deceived... 27:29 when we have let ourselves be deceived, Lord, 27:31 we know that You are calling us out from deception. 27:34 We know that You are there to lead us through Your Holy Spirit 27:38 into all truth. 27:39 We know that You will guide us and take care of us 27:43 if we just will turn everything over to You 27:46 so, help us not to be deceived, Lord, 27:50 help us to listen and to hear Your voice 27:53 and to know that You are leading us out of deception. 27:57 You don't want us to be deceived. 27:59 Thank You. 28:01 Be with us... guide us... 28:03 direct us, Lord, 28:05 keep us close to You 28:06 and help us to make the right decisions... 28:09 decisions that will honor You... 28:11 decisions that come from the Word and not from the world. 28:15 We will praise You and thank You. 28:18 In the name of Jesus our Savior, we pray... amen. " 28:21 May God continue to richly bless you. 28:26 You need to know that you don't have to be deceived. 28:32 Again, 1st Timothy 4:1 says, 28:35 "Now the Spirit expressly says 28:38 that in latter times some will depart from the faith, 28:40 giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.
