00:38 Hello, I'm Chris Shelton
00:40 and I want to welcome those of you at home
00:42 and welcome those of you here to Behold the Lamb Ministries.
00:45 I am excited for what the Lord is going to do today.
00:48 Here at Behold the Lamb, we have some special guests.
00:51 We have a speaker
00:54 that many of you know from 3ABN,
00:56 evangelist Ryan Day.
00:58 He is a speaker and a singer.
01:00 I look forward to what he is going to speak,
01:03 is going to be on the Daily.
01:05 The Daily people are looking back to Daniel,
01:07 they're looking back to Revelation.
01:09 And they're trying to figure out
01:10 where we are in the stream of time.
01:12 And I know by God's grace
01:14 that Brother Ryan Day is going to help us
01:17 to understand the Daily even so much more,
01:20 and how it applies to our time as well.
01:23 We're also going to have a special music
01:26 and our special music will be entitled,
01:28 "Lord prepare me" and that is with a young man.
01:32 How old are you now, Ben?
01:34 He said 22.
01:35 He doesn't have a mic, bless his heart.
01:38 But he is 22.
01:39 I have known Ben all of his life.
01:43 And if I remember correctly, Ben,
01:45 you were born during one of our Lake,
01:50 Grassy Lake,
01:51 Grassy Lake camp meetings, weren't you?
01:54 I'm thinking he was...
01:55 He doesn't.
01:56 For some reason he doesn't remember,
01:58 but we were having a camp meeting.
02:00 I think that's when you were born.
02:01 When's your birthday, Ben, isn't it in September?
02:04 He was born during camp meeting.
02:07 So anyway known his mom, his dad for many, many years.
02:12 And Ben, actually, I was his first teacher.
02:15 And he was at our church school for many years.
02:18 And then after he left,
02:20 he went up to Thompsonville Church School.
02:22 And there the teacher was so gifted, bless his heart,
02:25 all he had to do was hear me, hit, maybe hitting,
02:28 we know a key at a time on a piano,
02:30 but he had to listen to our voice to lead out music.
02:32 When he went there,
02:34 she was able to teach all kinds of instruments,
02:37 and it just absolutely triggered
02:40 a God given gift in this young man.
02:42 And so we are so thankful.
02:44 I know you'll be seeing him more here
02:45 at Behold the Lamb Ministries,
02:47 he's going to be coming
02:48 at least every other week to play,
02:51 and I'm sure he'll be doing special music for us.
02:53 He has a singing group.
02:55 Hopefully they'll be coming in
02:56 and worshiping the Lord with us.
02:58 So we're excited to hear his song.
03:00 It's going to be entitled "Lord, prepare me."
03:02 And then right after that,
03:04 we'll be blessed by Brother Ryan Day.
03:06 And once again, I really think,
03:08 I just got to tell you this one quick story.
03:11 A few weeks ago,
03:12 someone was watching 3ABN
03:14 and they were listening to the worship hour service
03:17 that they've been doing.
03:18 And Pastor Kenny had preached
03:20 and then Brother Ryan had preached,
03:22 and someone came to pastor during the week and said,
03:24 "Boy, you two are the Sons of Thunder."
03:28 And then Dakota showed up.
03:30 And we were doing a family worship program together.
03:33 And I looked, I said,
03:34 "Boy, they may be the real Sons of Thunder."
03:37 And then the next week, pastor came and told me,
03:40 he says, "Well, she kicked me out."
03:44 Throw him under the bus.
03:45 He said, "Maybe we can have three Sons of Thunder.
03:47 Can we do that?
03:49 Can we have three rather than two?"
03:50 I'm looking forward to what God has to do
03:53 because I know we'll not see these people,
03:56 but we'll hear God's voice.
06:00 Praise the Lord.
06:01 Praise the Lord for music,
06:03 praise the Lord for dedicated young men like him.
06:06 You know, I don't think
06:08 sometimes we can really wrap our minds
06:09 around how difficult that is to do.
06:12 I've heard many, many guitarists in my lifetime.
06:16 But to play that way is very advanced.
06:18 And so I know when the Lord created Ben,
06:20 I know He decided, He said,
06:21 I know that he's going to be a good man,
06:23 but he's going to be a very good guitarist.
06:27 Praise the Lord for that.
06:29 Amen. Praise God.
06:30 We give God the glory, right?
06:31 We don't uplift ourselves.
06:33 We don't uplift man,
06:34 we uplift God because He is worthy.
06:36 Amen? Praise the Lord.
06:38 I want to jump right into this because I'm on a time,
06:41 pray for that clock.
06:43 Pray for that clock.
06:44 Pray for that clock
06:45 because I knew I was going to be
06:47 on time limit this morning.
06:48 But I have so much to say and little time to say it in,
06:51 so let's go ahead and have a prayer.
06:52 I'm going to get right into this message.
06:54 Very important today.
06:56 Father in heaven, Lord,
06:59 we give this time to You.
07:01 As we have been worshipping You this morning, Lord,
07:04 in spirit, Lord, now we want to worship You,
07:07 as you have told us in Your Word
07:08 in spirit and in truth.
07:11 Lord, as we dive deep into the truth of Your Word,
07:14 may this not just be another sermon,
07:16 may it not just be another message,
07:18 may it not just be scriptures of texts
07:19 that we read from the Bible,
07:21 but may it penetrate our hearts and minds.
07:24 May we walk away from today blessed, renewed, revitalized,
07:28 restored, and may You set us on a path of righteousness,
07:32 set us on a path of revival,
07:34 spark within us a burning heart desire to serve You.
07:38 We thank You, Lord, and we praise You for this Lord
07:40 and I ask again humbly
07:41 that You speak through me this morning,
07:43 not my own words, hide me Lord,
07:45 get Ryan out of the picture,
07:47 and allow Jesus' words to come through,
07:49 we ask in Jesus' name, amen.
07:52 I've said this many, many times,
07:54 and I'll say it again
07:55 as I preached this message this morning.
07:57 I'm preaching this just as much to myself
08:00 as I am to anyone else in here,
08:02 because this is a message
08:03 that each and every one of us need to hear.
08:06 This is probably one of the most important messages
08:09 that a person could hear today from the Word of God.
08:11 It's kind of a...
08:13 It's a little unconventional, I guess you could say,
08:16 it's not as, you don't hear a lot of people do sermons
08:20 or preach sermons or teach messages on the Daily.
08:23 It's just one of those things you read about,
08:25 just kind of go past it, right?
08:27 Because you, we really just don't have,
08:28 for years we haven't really understood it.
08:31 But I'm going to teach something today.
08:33 I'm more of a teacher than I am a preacher.
08:34 I like to preach, I like to teach,
08:36 but I'm more of a teacher than I'm a preacher
08:38 and I'm going to be doing lots of teaching.
08:40 In fact, I'm going to be going quite fast, okay.
08:42 So get ready to get your Bibles out.
08:44 You're going to get a little bit of practice
08:46 this morning finding all those Bible chapters and verses,
08:49 because we're going to be going to many places.
08:50 I want to start in 1 John 2:18 and 19.
08:55 We're going to start here in the Book of 1 John.
08:57 So right there toward the end of the Bible,
08:59 you have 1, 2, 3 John, the Book of Jude
09:01 and then the Book of Revelation.
09:03 We're going to 1 John Chapter 2.
09:05 And I want to just kind of set a foundation here
09:08 as we get into identifying and looking
09:11 at the significance of this Daily
09:13 and why it's important for us here
09:14 as present truth in our time even.
09:17 The title of the sermon one word, Daily.
09:21 Daily. If you what?
09:23 If you leave today and you don't remember
09:24 what in the world this sermon's about,
09:26 you just remember the word Daily.
09:28 That's what it's about. Okay?
09:29 1 John 2:18 and 19.
09:32 Notice what the Bible says,
09:33 "Little children, it is the last hour."
09:36 Are we living in the last hour?
09:38 We are living in the last hour.
09:40 The Bible says, "And as you have heard,
09:42 that the Antichrist is coming,"
09:46 but he goes on to say, "even now many antichrists,"
09:50 plural, are in the world or "have come
09:55 by which we know that it is the last hour."
09:59 Speaking of this Antichrist in verse 19.
10:02 He says, they, again, there's the plural,
10:05 went out from, from us.
10:08 Who's us?
10:12 This is it.
10:14 This is where we get deep.
10:16 They, John speaking of the church, he says,
10:20 "They," the Antichrist, "went out from us," the church,
10:24 but then he clarifies, notice, he says,
10:26 "but", and I praise God for that but.
10:28 He says, "but they were not of us,
10:31 for if they had been of us,
10:33 they would have continued with us,
10:35 but they went out
10:36 that they might be made manifest
10:39 that none of them were of us."
10:41 So what we're simply saying here
10:43 through these couple of verses,
10:45 to set the foundation for what we're about to see,
10:47 as John is saying, "Look, I'm speaking to the church.
10:50 I'm talking to you folk here."
10:52 He's saying, "Hey look,
10:54 you have heard that an Antichrist is coming."
10:56 He says, "But I'm telling you that many Antichrists, plural,
10:59 many of them are already in the world,
11:02 they have come."
11:04 They were working in his day nearly 2,000 years ago.
11:08 But you're in 1 John Chapter 2,
11:10 we just read verses 18 and 19.
11:11 I want you to skip down to verse 26.
11:14 Still on the same theme
11:16 talking about this Antichrist spirit.
11:19 Notice what he says here.
11:20 He says, "These things I have written to you
11:23 concerning those who try to," what?
11:26 "Deceive you."
11:28 Are we living in a world today
11:30 where there's lots of deception?
11:32 My friends, probably the biggest plague,
11:34 there's going to be lots of plagues
11:36 in the last days.
11:37 We know that we have seven of them
11:38 mentioned in Revelation Chapter 16.
11:41 But probably the greatest plague
11:43 behind all plagues,
11:45 okay, is definitely a spirit of deception.
11:49 It is among us, it is working among even God's people,
11:53 God's Church.
11:55 Now you're in 1 John, skip over to 2 John Chapter 2.
11:57 Okay, you're right there in 1 John,
11:59 just skip over to the second epistle of John there.
12:01 2 John Chapter 2,
12:03 we're going to be reading verses 7 and 8.
12:05 Again, notice the common theme.
12:06 Notice another word that comes up here
12:08 that we just read.
12:10 2 John 2:7 and 8.
12:12 The Bible says, "For many," what's that next word there?
12:15 "Deceivers have gone out into the world
12:18 who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh."
12:22 And then here it is, again,
12:23 "this is a deceiver
12:26 and an antichrist.
12:29 Look to yourselves,
12:31 that we do not lose those things
12:34 for which we worked," right?
12:36 "But that we may receive a full reward."
12:39 Now we find this common theme all the way through the Bible,
12:43 but more specifically, the New Testament scriptures.
12:46 All the gospels that Jesus,
12:48 obviously the story of Christ's life,
12:50 Jesus Himself saying, "Let no man."
12:52 Matthew 24, Luke 17, Mark 13, He's letting us know,
12:55 "Do not let any man deceive you by any means," right?
12:58 Let no one deceive you by any means.
13:00 We also see Paul.
13:02 In fact, I'm going to have you
13:03 to jump over to 2 Thessalonians right now.
13:05 2 Thessalonians Chapter 2.
13:07 Paul also echoes this same message.
13:09 We see John, right before the closing books of Scripture,
13:13 right before this great Revelation book
13:16 that we are going to read
13:17 about the final events of Bible prophecy.
13:19 John is warning us.
13:20 He's saying, "I'm writing to you
13:22 concerning those who tried to deceive you.
13:23 There was a spirit of Antichrist
13:25 among the church."
13:27 See, many times when we think of Antichrist,
13:29 we think of Roman Catholic Church.
13:32 And we don't want to...
13:33 Let me be very clear this morning.
13:35 The Antichrist to Bible prophecy
13:37 is indeed the Roman papal church state system.
13:40 We don't want to miss that at all.
13:42 And we certainly don't want to miss the fact
13:44 that a leading Antichrist figure
13:46 which we're about to read
13:47 about in 2 Thessalonians Chapter 2
13:49 is none other than the leader of this papal system,
13:52 the pope himself, the office of the pope,
13:54 but there is something in the Bible
13:56 that is called the spirit of Antichrist.
13:59 It's a spirit of deception
14:01 and make this very clear, my friends,
14:04 this spirit of deception is everywhere,
14:09 even among God's people in His church.
14:12 Notice John...
14:13 Notice 2 Thessalonians 2:3 and 4,
14:15 how we're going to start with verse 3.
14:17 How does John, oh, excuse me, Paul open this up?
14:19 He says, "Let no one," what?
14:22 "Let no one deceive you by any means, for that day,"
14:26 which day?
14:28 If you read the context
14:30 and the themes of 1 and 2 Thessalonians,
14:32 you know that Paul often speaks of the second coming of Jesus.
14:36 And when he says, "that day will not come
14:39 unless the falling away comes first."
14:41 He's speaking of the second coming of Jesus.
14:43 In other words, he's speaking prophetically here.
14:45 He's saying prior to the second coming of Jesus
14:48 in the final days of this earth's history.
14:51 Notice what he says here.
14:52 He says there will be a great falling away.
14:57 Now who is Paul's audience here?
15:03 Who is he writing to here?
15:07 Now I want to be very clear,
15:09 we want to make this clear also,
15:10 though all of the Bible is for everyone, right?
15:12 So we know these first and second letters
15:15 of to Thessalonica,
15:16 of course, is for everyone today, even us.
15:19 But Paul's intended audience for this particular letters
15:22 was to the church at Thessalonica.
15:25 So it's interesting that he's warning, he said,
15:27 let no one deceive you by any means for that day.
15:29 The second coming will not come
15:31 unless the falling away comes first.
15:32 And it's interesting
15:34 that when you look into the original Greek
15:35 at this term falling away, and he's warning the church,
15:39 he says there's going to be a great falling away.
15:41 It's the Greek word,
15:43 tell me if you've heard this before, apostasia.
15:47 Apostasia.
15:49 Apostasy, right?
15:51 And what's interesting
15:52 is when you look up the meaning of this word
15:54 in the original Greek
15:55 and what Paul intended to communicate,
15:57 the word in the Greek apostasia
15:59 means to defect from truth,
16:04 or to turn away from truth.
16:07 Get this, to divorce,
16:13 to divorce.
16:15 In other words,
16:17 what he's trying to say is he's warning the church,
16:19 he's saying, God has already showed me
16:21 that prior to the second coming of Jesus,
16:23 there's going to be a certain spirit
16:27 to creep into the church
16:29 and cause people to turn away from the truth
16:34 and cause them to divorce themselves from Jesus Christ,
16:40 all the while deceived into believing
16:43 that they're still married to Him.
16:45 Now can you marry someone
16:47 whom you were not all or could you, can you divorce.
16:49 Excuse me, let me set it,
16:51 can you divorce yourself from someone
16:52 whom you were not married to?
16:55 In other words, if I have, you know,
16:56 someone has a boyfriend or a girlfriend
16:58 and they come to a point in the relationship
17:00 where they figured out it's not going to work,
17:01 one can't say to the boyfriend or to the girlfriend,
17:03 I want a divorce, right?
17:05 There's not enough, there's not already
17:07 a prior favorable marriage there, right?
17:09 They have to be married,
17:10 there has to be a bond and a vow of marriage there.
17:13 It's interesting to note, my friends,
17:14 many people out there today they believe this,
17:16 "once saved, always saved" theology,
17:18 this concept that you know what?
17:19 We can just do whatever we want to live,
17:21 however we want,
17:22 because somewhere back in 19 whatever,
17:23 when I went down the aisle is just as I am,
17:26 was playing in the background.
17:27 And I said a prayer after another minister
17:29 led me through a prayer and I gave my heart to Jesus,
17:31 I was forever saved.
17:33 And there's no one that can plug me
17:34 from the hands of God.
17:35 And they continue to believe this destructive,
17:38 horrible theology
17:40 that once they were saved back then in one moment
17:43 means they're forever saved.
17:44 In other words, they can't fall out of the hands of God.
17:46 But this is prime,
17:47 this is a prime example that it is possible.
17:49 It is possible for someone to believe
17:52 that they have a relationship with the Lord
17:53 and you know what?
17:55 They might have a relationship with God,
17:56 but don't think for one moment, my friends,
17:58 that you cannot slip or fall away.
18:01 That's what's Paul is warning of here.
18:03 He's saying, "Look, I'm telling you,
18:04 God has shown me prophetically,
18:06 this is going to happen before Jesus comes.
18:08 There's going to be people in the church,
18:09 they're going to fall away from the truth.
18:11 They're going to divorce themselves from the truth."
18:14 What did Jesus call Himself?
18:15 I am the way, the truth and the life.
18:17 He says,
18:18 they're going to divorce themselves from Jesus,
18:20 all the while completely deceived into believing
18:22 that they're still married to Him.
18:24 Have you ever met someone
18:25 who believes they know the truth,
18:27 but yet when they talk and they speak
18:28 and their lifestyle,
18:29 it does not represent something of the truth?
18:32 Have you ever talked to someone who believes 100% in something,
18:35 but you know they're wrong?
18:36 Because evidence,
18:38 biblical evidence clearly shows otherwise.
18:40 That's a deceived person and I heard,
18:42 once heard someone say, it was a minister.
18:43 I think it might have been David Asscherick
18:45 or someone who had said
18:46 that the very essence of deception
18:49 is that you are unaware that you are deceived.
18:52 But there is a cure for deception.
18:56 Notice how he says,
18:57 "The great falling away will come first,
18:59 and then the man of sin is revealed,
19:01 the son of perdition."
19:03 Now he's speaking
19:04 of that leading Antichrist figure,
19:07 "Who opposes and exalts himself above all
19:09 that is called God or that is worshiped,
19:10 so that he as God sits in the temple of God,
19:14 showing himself that he is God."
19:22 Son of perdition, man of sin.
19:24 You know, it's interesting
19:26 when you do a word search in Scripture,
19:28 there's only one other place
19:30 where that phrase or that title,
19:32 son of perdition is mentioned.
19:34 In other words, it's only in the Bible twice.
19:38 And it's used to describe two different people.
19:42 One we just read about the Antichrist
19:45 of Bible prophecy,
19:47 that leading Antichrist figure
19:49 who believes that he is equal with God.
19:51 In fact, in moments he's even above God.
19:54 He exhausted himself
19:55 so that he has got
19:56 a substitutionary figure for God,
19:59 sits in the temple as if he is God.
20:01 But the other place is found in John Chapter 17.
20:05 Jesus is praying in the Garden of Gethsemane,
20:08 moments away from being arrested,
20:10 taken to trial
20:12 in which He will eventually be led away
20:14 to be nailed to a cross.
20:16 But while He's in the Garden of Gethsemane, He's praying,
20:19 and He's given His heart,
20:20 just sharing His heart with His Father,
20:22 and He's praying out
20:23 and He's asking the Lord to keep His people protected,
20:26 keep His faithful few protected.
20:28 But notice what He says here in verse 12, John 17:12,
20:31 He says, "While I was with them in the world,"
20:33 speaking of the disciples, He says,
20:35 "I kept them in Your name.
20:38 Those whom You gave Me I have kept,
20:42 and none of them is lost except the son of perdition,"
20:47 there it is,
20:48 "that the Scriptures might be fulfilled."
20:50 Who is Jesus talking about?
20:54 Who among His 12 was...
20:57 Okay, Judas Iscariot, right?
20:59 Of all the 12 that were, one,
21:00 there was only one that was lost, Judas Iscariot.
21:03 Now, here's what's interesting.
21:05 Son of perdition, Judas Iscariot,
21:08 son of perdition, Antichrist of Bible prophecy.
21:12 What do the two have in common?
21:18 What?
21:23 Did you heard what Brother Mark said?
21:26 Was Jesus from, did was, excuse me, was Judas,
21:29 did Judas persecute Jesus?
21:33 Did Judas betrayed Jesus
21:36 and deceive the others from outside the inner circle
21:41 or from within the inner circle?
21:44 And when you get over here to 2 Thessalonians Chapter 2,
21:47 where we read about this man of sin,
21:48 this son of perdition
21:49 and you do a deep study in Scripture
21:51 on this leading Antichrist figure of Bible prophecy,
21:54 the world is deceived into believing
21:55 that it's going to be some type of evil, political,
21:58 single political individual at the end time,
22:00 who is going to rise up
22:02 take over the United Nations and the one world order,
22:04 this one world government and all this stuff.
22:05 And I'm not denying
22:06 that some of those things can definitely happen.
22:08 But nonetheless,
22:09 everyone's looking toward the White House
22:12 for the Antichrist to show up.
22:14 I remember back when Obama was in office,
22:16 I would go out and I would do evangelistic series.
22:18 And I hear all kinds of people,
22:20 you know, I'd give them an opportunity to tell me
22:22 after when we were doing our antichrist study,
22:24 I would give them an opportunity
22:25 to scream out from the crowd
22:28 to tell me who they thought the Antichrist was,
22:30 and I'll never forget the majority of the people,
22:32 Obama, you know.
22:34 And now there's people that's like, Trump,
22:36 Trump's the Antichrist, and then you got the opposite.
22:37 The others are saying, "Oh, no he's a man of God,
22:40 he's going to save the nation."
22:42 You know, all these things.
22:43 We look to political figures to save us, right?
22:47 But guess what?
22:48 The thing that these two individuals have in common
22:50 Judas Iscariot and the Antichrist
22:53 is that they will deceive the world, right?
22:55 They're going to deceive,
22:57 but they deceive not from outside the church,
23:01 but from within.
23:07 Acts Chapter 20.
23:10 You say, Ryan, yeah,
23:12 there's been a lot of deception in the church,
23:17 but not in the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
23:21 Well, surely,
23:22 the devil has no power to deceive
23:25 within the Seventh-day Adventist Church,
23:28 because we're the remnant, right?
23:32 Acts Chapter 20.
23:33 Notice verses 28 through 31.
23:35 This is Paul speaking to the church at Ephesus.
23:38 This was the church
23:40 that he spent the most time with.
23:43 Notice what he said,
23:45 speaking to the leadership of the church, he said,
23:48 "Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock,
23:52 among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers,
23:58 to shepherd the church of God
24:00 which He purchased with His own blood.
24:04 For I know this," notice this,
24:06 he's about to speak prophetically again,
24:07 "for I know this that after my departure
24:09 savage wolves will come in among you,
24:11 not sparing the flock."
24:15 Also, don't get this.
24:16 Also from outside of the church,
24:19 is that what it says?
24:21 Also from outside of the church,
24:24 what does it say?
24:25 It says, "Also from among yourselves,
24:29 men will rise up, speaking perverse things,
24:31 to draw away the disciples after themselves.
24:34 Therefore, watch and remember that for three years
24:37 I did not cease to warn everyone
24:40 night and day with tears."
24:43 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up the trumpet,
24:47 show my people their sins.
24:49 No, Brother Ryan, don't do that.
24:51 Don't tell us and preach to us about victory over sin.
24:54 We want you to preach something to us
24:55 that makes us feel good.
24:58 You see, I don't do good with feel good sermons.
25:02 Now I understand, I believe that every hope,
25:03 every sermon should have hope,
25:06 because there's hope in the Bible.
25:08 Jesus brings hope.
25:09 The truth brings hope.
25:11 The Bible says the truth shall make you free, okay?
25:14 That's a beautiful thing.
25:15 But I don't do good with feel good sermons.
25:18 Because when we come to church
25:19 expecting to feel good about ourselves,
25:22 then we are setting ourselves up for deception.
25:25 Now, I'm not talking
25:26 about not having an assurance of salvation,
25:28 we can have an assurance of salvation,
25:30 we should have an assurance
25:31 that we indeed have a relationship with Jesus,
25:34 but don't ever come to the point my friends were,
25:36 "Oh, I don't want to hear that truth.
25:37 That's too hard to hear, because it pierces me,
25:42 it shows me where I need to grow."
25:45 You see, if I come to a person's sermon,
25:47 and I'm listening to a sermon, and it doesn't prick my heart,
25:50 it doesn't stir within me a spirit of revival,
25:55 then that sermon has not served its purpose.
25:58 When Jesus preached, He preached with love.
26:01 When He preached, He preached with power,
26:04 with boldness.
26:05 He did give hope, He did.
26:08 He brought hope, He brought love,
26:10 He brought joy.
26:12 But don't think for one moment
26:13 that much of the sermons that Jesus delivered
26:16 also brought division
26:19 because men's hearts were failing them,
26:23 and He was calling them to repentance.
26:31 You see, I believe that a spirit of Antichrist
26:35 has been at work among us for many years.
26:39 And I know this,
26:41 because Jesus hasn't come back yet.
26:44 I would like for you to turn with me now
26:46 to Daniel Chapter 8.
26:47 And I would like to focus in on a very important aspect
26:51 of the Christian experience
26:54 that many people have been deceived about
26:58 or simply the truth has been withheld.
27:01 And we do not comprehend the importance of this
27:03 in our daily lives.
27:05 Again, what's the title of the sermon?
27:07 Daily, say that with me, the title of the sermon?
27:09 Daily, Daily.
27:10 We're going to talk about Daily.
27:12 What about Daily?
27:13 Daily what?
27:14 We're going to talk about that.
27:16 Daniel Chapter 8, now, it's interesting
27:17 that I started out talking about this,
27:19 this Antichrist power
27:20 because what we're about to read
27:22 about in Bible prophecy
27:23 is this little horn Antichrist figure.
27:26 And we know that in Daniel 8:10-14,
27:29 notice what the Bible says,
27:31 speaking of this little horn power,
27:33 this Antichrist power, it says,
27:35 "And it," that little horn, "grew up to the host of heaven,
27:39 and it cast down some of the host
27:41 and some of the stars to the ground,
27:43 and trampled upon them.
27:46 He even exalted himself
27:48 as high as the Prince of the host."
27:51 Now I'm going to continue reading through this,
27:52 you tell me, there's a couple of words
27:53 that appear here more than any other.
27:56 And after I read through it,
27:57 I want you to tell me what those two words are.
27:59 "Even as high as the Prince of the host,
28:01 and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away,
28:05 and the place of His sanctuary was cast down.
28:08 Because of transgression,
28:10 an army was given over to the little horn
28:12 to oppose the daily sacrifices,
28:15 and he cast truth down to the ground.
28:17 He did all this and prospered.
28:21 Then I heard a holy one speaking,
28:23 and another holy one saying to that certain one
28:25 who was speaking, 'How long will the vision be,
28:28 concerning the daily sacrifices
28:30 and the transgression of desolation,
28:33 the giving of both the sanctuary
28:35 and the host to be trampled underfoot?'
28:38 And he said to me,
28:39 'For two thousand three hundred days,
28:41 then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.'"
28:46 What couple of words there do you see
28:48 that appears more than any of them?
28:52 The two words there actually there in the original
28:55 that are there more than any is Daily and Sanctuary.
28:58 Now some might say sacrifices,
28:59 but you'll notice in Scripture,
29:01 is the word sacrifice is italicized in your Bible?
29:06 That indicates that it's not in the original manuscripts
29:09 that this was pulled from and from the Hebrew.
29:14 So when you read it,
29:16 you should read it that it says,
29:17 and by him the Daily was taken away.
29:21 That the little horn thought to oppose the Daily.
29:26 And it says, how long would the vision
29:27 be concerning the Daily?
29:29 That's the way it reads in the original, the day,
29:31 the Daily what?
29:35 Notice that this little horn,
29:37 notice this is in the context of the 2,300 year prophecy.
29:40 And what happens at the end of the 2,300 year prophecy?
29:44 Does anyone remember?
29:46 The sanctuary shall be,
29:49 that's the time
29:50 that marks the beginning of the end and judgment,
29:55 the final judgment hour, right?
29:58 And the devil knows, get this, the devil knows,
30:03 that if God's people arrive at the end of this 2,300 years,
30:08 and they fully comprehend the importance of this Daily,
30:13 they're going to be prepared for what is to come
30:16 to be prepared for the second coming of Jesus.
30:19 So he starts attacking.
30:20 Notice again, what is he doing?
30:22 He exalts himself as high as the Prince of the host.
30:24 He thinks he's equal with Jesus.
30:26 He wants to be Jesus.
30:27 He wants to be a substitutionary figure
30:30 for Jesus.
30:32 And it says in by Him the Daily is taken away.
30:35 He's attacking the Daily.
30:37 It says in the place of His sanctuary was cast down.
30:41 This is dealing with the sanctuary message,
30:43 my friends.
30:44 It says, "Because of transgression
30:45 an army was given over to him,
30:47 to the little horn to oppose the Daily."
30:49 Notice how the devil has risen up
30:52 this little horn Antichrist power
30:54 to attack the Daily.
30:56 And I know you're still sitting there
30:57 probably thinking the Daily what.
30:59 What is this Daily?
31:00 What's so important about this Daily?
31:02 That's what we're going to talk about.
31:03 It's not going to take us long the Daily.
31:05 Now I wanna clear something up.
31:07 There's some people out there that believe that this Daily,
31:10 it means that it is, that it is paganism.
31:14 Because there are some books,
31:16 there are some writings out there
31:17 where some have suggested that Daily means paganism.
31:21 But that wouldn't make any sense
31:22 because this little horn power is none other than
31:24 the Roman papal church state power,
31:26 and they're continuing
31:27 the tradition of paganism, right?
31:29 But it says this little horn is opposing the Daily.
31:33 So it wouldn't make any sense for him to oppose paganism,
31:36 because He's all about some paganism, right?
31:40 So there's something about this Daily
31:42 that the devil doesn't want God's people to comprehend.
31:46 Because if they comprehend the Daily,
31:49 then they might just come to know Jesus on a daily basis,
31:53 and he can't have that, right?
31:55 What is the Daily?
31:57 Well, it's interesting
31:58 that when you go into the original Hebrew here,
32:01 the word for Daily is the Hebrew word, Tamid.
32:07 Tamid.
32:09 And it means
32:11 continual perpetual.
32:16 So if you were to actually,
32:17 this actually could be translated even better,
32:21 that by him
32:23 the continual is taken away,
32:29 that he's opposing the perpetual,
32:32 the continual what?
32:34 The perpetual, the continual what?
32:35 Right?
32:37 But there's something about this Daily.
32:38 Now, if you know anything about the sanctuary
32:40 you have to understand this,
32:42 there's two services in the sanctuary, right?
32:46 There's the daily
32:50 and then there's what's called the yearly
32:51 or the Day of Atonement, which is a single day.
32:55 Now the Daily is something
32:57 that was carried out every single day of the year
33:01 for 359 days of the Jewish calendar.
33:06 But only on one single day of the year
33:08 known as the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur is where,
33:12 that was the Day of Judgment,
33:13 that was the holiest day of all.
33:15 But understand, my friends,
33:16 this is what we're getting here.
33:18 Don't miss this.
33:19 You can't approach God on the holiest day of all,
33:25 unless you have first approached him
33:27 through the Daily.
33:30 All right.
33:31 Now I know I'm throwing out some terms here
33:32 that some people like, What?
33:34 I'm still confused.
33:35 Hang with me. We're about to nail this down.
33:38 What is the Daily?
33:39 Now I did a word search.
33:42 I have this Bible software on my computer
33:44 where I can find a word in Scripture,
33:46 and I can click on that word
33:47 and it will pop up
33:48 every single reference in the Scripture
33:52 where that word is used.
33:55 And I wanted to know Lord,
33:56 what are You trying to communicate?
33:58 What is it about this Daily that the devil cannot have?
34:03 What is it about this Daily
34:05 that the enemy seems to be attacking it,
34:08 distorting it, perverting it, skewing it,
34:11 so that people can't quite comprehend its significance?
34:15 So I did a little bit of a word search,
34:17 and I want you to notice something,
34:18 it's a direct connection with the sanctuary.
34:20 And I want to show you a little bit of a...
34:22 I'm going to go through this fast, okay,
34:23 so you may not even be able to,
34:25 to go with me to every scripture,
34:27 but that's okay.
34:28 Write them down.
34:29 And this is, sure, it's going to be made available
34:31 to re-watch over and over and over.
34:32 So you'll get to see it again,
34:34 and I'll make the references clear.
34:36 Did you know, get this,
34:37 that the priesthood's ministry in the holy place
34:42 was in the Bible
34:43 called a continual ministry, right?
34:48 Notice Exodus 28:29 and 30.
34:51 Exodus 28:29 and 30.
34:54 Notice what the Bible says here.
34:55 "So Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel
34:58 on the breastplate of judgment over his heart,
35:01 when he goes into the holy place,
35:02 as a memorial before the Lord continually."
35:07 Guess what word that is in the Hebrew?
35:08 Tamid.
35:12 "And you shall put the breastplate of the judgment
35:14 of the Urim and the Thummim,
35:15 and they shall be over Aaron's heart
35:16 when he goes in before the Lord.
35:18 So Aaron shall bear the judgment
35:19 of the children of Israel over his heart
35:21 before the Lord continually."
35:24 Tamid.
35:26 Did you know that the altar of burnt sacrifices
35:29 was to be a continual offering?
35:33 Exodus 29:38, 39 and 42.
35:37 Get this, love it.
35:38 It says now when it was, excuse me,
35:40 "Now this is what you shall offer on the altar:
35:43 two lambs of the first year, day by day continually."
35:49 Tamid.
35:51 "One lamb you shall offer in the morning,
35:53 and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight."
35:55 I like that, did you get that?
35:57 You shall spend time with the lamb in the morning
36:00 and at twilight.
36:02 Get that, don't miss that.
36:04 And then verse 42,
36:05 "This shall be a continual burnt offering
36:09 throughout your generations
36:10 at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the Lord,
36:12 where I will meet you to speak with you."
36:14 It shall be a what?
36:16 A continual, Tamid.
36:18 Same word used in Daniel 8 to describe the Daily.
36:21 This is powerful.
36:23 Stay with me, we're getting somewhere.
36:24 Did you know that the fire on the altar
36:27 was to burn continually.
36:29 Get this, Leviticus 6:12 and 13.
36:32 "And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it,
36:35 it shall not be put out.
36:37 And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning,
36:40 and lay the burnt offering in order on it,
36:42 and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings."
36:46 And notice, "A fire shall" and it's just interesting,
36:48 the word is, "always be burning on the altar,
36:52 it shall never go out."
36:53 That word always is Tamid.
36:58 The table of showbread.
37:01 Exodus 25:30.
37:03 "And you shall set the showbread on the table
37:06 before Me always."
37:08 Tamid.
37:10 Continual, perpetual, it's ongoing.
37:14 The seven-branched lampstand.
37:17 Here we go, Leviticus 24:1-4.
37:19 It says, "Then the Lord spoke to Moses,
37:20 saying:" "Command the children of Israel
37:22 that they burn to you pure oil
37:25 of pressed olives for the light,
37:27 to make the lamps burn continually."
37:31 Always perpetual.
37:33 "Outside the veil of the Testimony,
37:34 in the tabernacle of meeting,
37:36 Aaron shall be in charge of it from evening until morning
37:38 before the Lord continually,
37:40 Tamid, it shall be a statute forever in your generations.
37:44 He shall be in charge of the lamps
37:45 on the pure gold lampstand before the Lord continually."
37:49 Tamid.
37:51 The altar of incense,
37:53 all of this and you're probably wondering,
37:55 what does it have to do with anything?
37:57 Oh, just hang with me.
37:58 It's good stuff, man.
38:00 Exodus 30:7 and 8.
38:02 Speaking of the altar of incense,
38:04 "Aaron shall burn on it sweet incense every morning,
38:08 when he tends the lamps, he shall burn incense on it.
38:11 And when Aaron lights the lamps at twilight,
38:14 he shall burn incense on it,
38:15 a perpetual incense
38:19 before the Lord throughout your generations."
38:21 Tamid.
38:22 Continual.
38:26 Now what does all this have to do with the Daily
38:29 and with our lives today?
38:32 You see, the Daily was everything done
38:36 in the courtyard
38:38 and in the holy place of the sanctuary.
38:42 Everything that was done there
38:43 and was done on a daily basis, continually.
38:52 So what does that mean for us today?
38:55 Because the sanctuary though here,
38:57 the wilderness sanctuary, they no longer exists.
39:03 But is there still a sanctuary?
39:06 And do we still have a high priest?
39:11 Hebrews 7:23-25, get this.
39:14 "Also, there are many priests,"
39:17 speaking of those priests from back in the day,
39:19 but notice this,
39:21 "because they were prevented by death from continuing."
39:25 See, they're all dead.
39:26 They can't continue on in their ministry.
39:28 "But He," who's He?
39:34 Jesus, "because He continues forever,
39:40 has an unchangeable priesthood.
39:42 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those
39:45 who come to God through Him,
39:47 since He always lives to make intercession for them."
39:50 He want now,
39:51 He always lives to make intercession for them.
39:55 My friends, get this,
39:57 all these aspects of the sanctuary
40:00 represent different elements
40:02 of the daily saving ministry of Jesus Christ.
40:08 When they would sacrifice that lamb
40:10 on the burnt offering, what did it point forward to?
40:13 It point forward to Jesus as the Lamb of God
40:15 who takes away the sin of the world.
40:17 Every time they would walk past that laver
40:19 and they would dip their hands
40:21 and cleanse their feet from the blood of that Lamb.
40:23 What did it point forward to?
40:25 It pointed forward to the working of Jesus Christ
40:27 to cleanse us of our sins.
40:30 When they would walk up to the table of showbread
40:32 in the holy place,
40:33 and they would eat of that showbread
40:35 every single day, what did it represent?
40:37 It pointed forward to Jesus Christ
40:39 as the bread of life.
40:41 And you know what Jesus said?
40:42 Men shall not live by bread alone,
40:44 but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God,
40:48 just as Jesus Christ ate of the bread daily,
40:51 just as the priest ate of the bread daily,
40:54 we too are to eat of the bread daily, right?
40:59 Okay, though, every single day those priests had to walk up
41:03 to that seven-branched candlestick,
41:04 and they had to make sure that it was filled full of oil,
41:08 because the fire was not allowed to go out.
41:12 That represents the work of Christ
41:15 through the ministry of the Holy Spirit
41:17 in our lives.
41:19 When we have the Holy Spirit in our lives,
41:20 the fire of God burns within us, not sometimes,
41:24 not moment just from here and there,
41:26 but it's supposed to continually burn within us
41:29 each and every day.
41:30 And then when you walk up to that altar of incense,
41:33 and that incense is burning,
41:34 it represents the intercessory ministry of Jesus Christ
41:38 as our intercessor.
41:40 It represents the aspect of our life
41:42 that when we pray, and we ask God to forgive us,
41:45 and we ask Him to intercede on our behalf,
41:47 He hears those prayers,
41:48 just as that incense would rise,
41:50 and it would go up to the Lord, the Lord would hear it,
41:54 He would receive it
41:55 and He would present them before the Father
41:56 because He is high priest.
41:58 All of this was done how often?
42:01 Daily, daily,
42:03 you cannot go into the Most Holy Place
42:08 until you have had a daily experience.
42:12 That's what we're talking about here, my friends.
42:16 The Daily.
42:18 Now what's interesting, turn with me to Daniel 12.
42:21 Turn with me to Daniel 12. You got to see this.
42:25 Many times, not just a few,
42:26 but many times the word Daily is appearing
42:28 or does appear in the Book of Daniel.
42:31 But one of the most interesting ones
42:33 is found in the latter verses of Daniel 12.
42:35 Now we're in the last chapter of Daniel,
42:37 the last verses of Daniel.
42:38 And I want to begin reading in verse 11.
42:40 Because this is a prophecy,
42:42 a time prophecy by the way, did you know that?
42:44 These are two-time prophecies
42:45 that many people don't understand.
42:47 And I'm going to unfold them here rather quickly,
42:49 but significantly for this morning
42:51 because it plays a significant role
42:52 in our understanding.
42:53 Notice what he says, speaking of the last days.
42:56 He says, this is Daniel 12:11.
42:59 He says, "And from the time that the daily,"
43:03 there it is, "is taken away."
43:04 More the devil really wants to take away this daily,
43:07 doesn't he?
43:08 Why does the devil want to take away the daily?
43:14 What is our goal as Christians?
43:19 What's our ultimate goal as Christian?
43:21 Let's get home, let's get close to home.
43:23 To be saved in the kingdom, we want eternal life.
43:27 We want to be eternally in heaven
43:29 or in the new earth with Jesus, right?
43:32 That's the goal.
43:33 We want to be forever with our Lord and Savior,
43:35 not separate.
43:37 So I love that song, "Never part again.
43:40 No, never part again."
43:42 We won't have to part again, right?
43:44 Because we'll be with Jesus forever.
43:45 That's the goal. That's our goal.
43:47 That's why the Book of Hebrews says that,
43:49 that even Abraham looked far off towards a new city
43:53 and a new earth, a new way of life.
43:55 That's the goal.
43:57 We don't want to be in this life anymore
43:58 with all the death, and the pain, and the sorrow,
44:00 and the horribleness that we're dealing with today.
44:02 The goal is to be with Jesus forever in heaven.
44:04 But here's the thing.
44:05 We cannot be in the presence of our God
44:10 until we have had a daily experience.
44:15 Let's go back to the sanctuary.
44:17 What is the goal?
44:18 What is the ultimate goal of a person
44:22 in relation to the sanctuary message?
44:25 You start at the gate, and you go into the courtyard,
44:28 but do you want to remain in the courtyard?
44:31 You just want to dance around in the courtyard all the times?
44:33 Is that's your place? No, no.
44:34 You should have a courtyard experience, right?
44:37 But then you want to advance into the holy place.
44:41 But do you want to remain in the holy place?
44:46 What is your goal?
44:48 You want to go into the Most Holy.
44:51 Why do you want to be in the Most Holy Place?
44:57 Come on. Think clear here.
44:58 Think clear here.
44:59 Why do you want to be in the Most Holy Place?
45:03 Because that is where
45:05 the presence of God is found.
45:09 But you can't be in the Most Holy Place
45:13 until you have had a daily experience.
45:18 Does the devil know that?
45:20 The devil knows that God wants His people
45:23 to have a Most Holy Place experience.
45:26 He wants them to be in His very presence.
45:31 But the devil knows that that can't happen.
45:34 So what is He attacking?
45:36 He's attacking the daily
45:39 life saving ministry of Jesus.
45:43 Now, how did this happen? Let's continue reading here.
45:45 Daniel 12:11,
45:47 "And from the time that the daily is taken away,
45:52 and the abomination of desolation is set up,
45:56 there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days."
45:59 Now let's just pause there.
46:01 We're going to save verse 12 for the big ending, okay?
46:08 When was the daily taken away
46:12 and when was the abomination of desolation set up?
46:16 And notice this is post 1st century AD.
46:20 We're talking about the little horn doing this.
46:27 When did the little horn take away the Daily
46:29 and what does that mean?
46:31 You see, if the Daily represents
46:33 and I'll go back and read that one more time,
46:35 so it can be very clear.
46:37 With the Daily represents
46:39 the many different elements of Christ's saving ministry.
46:44 In other words, Christ is the bread of life.
46:46 Christ is the light of the world.
46:48 Christ is the intercessor.
46:49 Christ is the cleanser and washer away of sins,
46:52 Christ is the Lamb of God
46:54 who takes away the sin of the world.
46:56 You see, the little horn wants to usurp that power.
47:01 He wants to place himself in the place of Christ.
47:05 When did that happen?
47:09 See, many people aren't aware of this.
47:13 You see, the Catholic priesthood
47:16 was actually formally established
47:20 in 508 AD.
47:23 When the French King Clovis, the king of the Franks,
47:27 which is known as the French, he converted to Catholicism.
47:30 They were the most powerful nation at that time.
47:33 And they helped to bring the Catholic Church
47:36 to world dominant power by the time of 538 AD.
47:40 Notice, 508-538, that was the time period
47:44 in which the Catholic Church was being lifted up,
47:46 up, up, up, up,
47:48 but how were they going to accomplish it?
47:50 They had to make sure
47:51 that they took the attention of men
47:54 off of Jesus to put it on man.
47:59 Why do you think
48:00 the Catholic priesthood was created?
48:04 Because the idea of the Catholic priesthood
48:07 is that you don't pray to Jesus, you pray to men.
48:10 That's why when men and women in the Catholic Church
48:12 go to a priest to confess their sins.
48:16 Only God can forgive sins.
48:18 And notice how they go into this little box
48:20 that's divided by a veil.
48:23 A two-compartment box that's divided by a veil.
48:27 And notice, on one side is the priest,
48:30 and on the other side is the repentant sinner.
48:34 You got that, there's a...
48:35 Was there another place another thing in Scripture
48:37 where there's two compartments divided by a veil?
48:40 The sanctuary, one the Most Holy Place,
48:41 one the...
48:43 So where is that priest placing himself on that veil?
48:46 In the Most Holy Place as a usurper,
48:48 as a substitutionary figure
48:50 for the offices of Jesus Christ.
48:53 When the devil set up the priesthood,
48:55 he completely eclipsed the offices
48:59 and work of Jesus Christ in men and women's lives
49:02 on a daily basis.
49:03 They begin to look to man,
49:04 they've now stopped looking to God.
49:06 This went on and that's why we call it the Dark Ages
49:09 because the bright shining light of Jesus
49:10 was no longer penetrating the church as a whole.
49:14 It was dark.
49:15 The Word of God was taken away.
49:16 The bread was taken away.
49:18 The lamp was taken away.
49:20 The incense was taken away.
49:21 The laver was taken away.
49:23 How was the laver taken away?
49:24 Full baptism, full, fully subversive baptism.
49:27 Now what do they do?
49:29 They sprinkle and they baptize little babies,
49:31 don't even know they exist.
49:34 And they took away the altar of sacrifice by placing a man,
49:38 the pope in the place of the Lamb of God.
49:44 When did this happen?
49:45 Look it up, look up your history, 508 AD.
49:51 Now here's what's amazing. What did it say?
49:53 When all this happens, there shall be 1290 days.
49:57 You know what's interesting.
49:58 When you count 1290 years
50:01 because we're talking about a day for a year principle.
50:03 When you count 1290 years from 508 AD,
50:06 guess what year you come to?
50:11 1798.
50:14 What happened in 1798?
50:18 The power that was set up was momentarily taken down,
50:22 he was given as Revelation 13 says, a deadly wound.
50:26 But notice, I love verse 12, verse 12.
50:29 Hey, you know, I'm not Pentecostal,
50:31 but this makes me about, want to shout.
50:33 I'm just telling you.
50:34 Revelation, excuse me, Daniel 12:12.
50:38 He says, "Blessed is he who waits."
50:41 Lord, what are we waiting on?
50:43 1798, okay, the Catholic Church is taken down momentarily.
50:47 They're the ones that usurped themselves
50:48 in the place of Christ.
50:50 Okay, but he says, "Blessed are those who wait,
50:52 and comes to the 1,335 days."
50:57 Now, the 1,335 days begins
51:00 at the same time of the 1290 days,
51:03 508 AD when Jesus Christ was eclipsed.
51:08 But when you count 1,335 years forward,
51:12 you come to the time of 1843,
51:16 1844 when God was rising up a people
51:21 who would begin to put back together
51:24 all of God's sanctuary message.
51:28 You see, the devil can't have us
51:30 having a daily experience.
51:31 Because if you begin to have a daily experience,
51:33 where you begin to place yourself humbly
51:36 at the altar of sacrifice
51:37 and at the foot of the cross of the Lamb,
51:39 what's going to happen?
51:41 You're going to have a heart change.
51:43 You're going to start experiencing
51:44 as my brother Ivor Myers would say heartburn,
51:47 because you can't behold the Lamb.
51:51 You can't behold the Lamb without feeling something.
51:55 You just got to, you can't help it.
51:57 When you behold Jesus
51:58 hanging on a cross for your sins,
52:00 you can't help but feel something there.
52:04 You want to be cleansed.
52:07 And so Jesus says, "My death wasn't in vain.
52:10 Let me lead you over here to another daily experience.
52:12 I want to cleanse you every single day
52:15 of your dirty sins.
52:17 I'm gonna sanctify you from every one of those sins."
52:20 That's what we lead to the laver
52:22 where those priests every day would cleanse themselves
52:25 their hands and their feet before entering the most...
52:26 Excuse me, entering the holy place.
52:30 And when you find out that Christ has died for you
52:31 and that you have been cleansed.
52:40 Jesus says, "Come with me to the next level.
52:44 I want to take you
52:46 to eat some fresh bread."
52:50 Not that, now understand me.
52:52 Not that like processed and refined junk.
52:56 We're talking about that like
52:57 non hybridized whole wheat bread, right?
53:01 It's got the grains and the seeds and the nuts,
53:03 and all that good stuff in it that some people go,
53:06 you know about.
53:07 I love it. I've come to love it.
53:08 Hey Dave's healthy bread Dave's Killer bread,
53:10 I like Dave's Killer bread.
53:11 I like their bread. That's my bread, right?
53:14 But not just any kind of bread, it's the bread of life.
53:17 God says you know what?
53:19 Spend time with me every day in My Word.
53:22 You see, if you're not spending daily time
53:23 in God's Word,
53:26 you become spiritually malnourished.
53:30 Oh, would the devil
53:31 love to have you spiritually malnourished.
53:37 And the devil doesn't want you to walk around in light.
53:43 He wants you to walk around in darkness.
53:45 So what does he do?
53:47 He wants to go over to that seven-branched lampstand
53:49 and he wants to, hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo.
53:58 But Jesus says, "I'm the light of the world.
54:02 Because I'm the light of the world,
54:06 when I abide in you,
54:08 you become a light of the world.
54:11 A bright shining light burns in you,
54:14 because I am in you."
54:17 And it causes us to fall on our knees
54:22 every single day.
54:24 God, I'm not worthy.
54:28 I'm not worthy to be called Your servant.
54:31 I'm not worthy to be Your child.
54:35 It humbles you and brings humility in your life.
54:39 See, the devil can't have you humble,
54:42 because you know what 2 Chronicles 7:14 says?
54:46 "If my people who are called by my name
54:48 will humble themselves and pray and seek My face,
54:53 then I will forgive their sins and heal their land."
54:56 He can't have you humble.
55:01 See when you're having a daily experience
55:03 with the Lord,
55:07 He takes you through a cleansing process.
55:10 Malachi Chapter 3, this is our verse of the day.
55:15 Malachi 3:2 and 3,
55:19 "But who can endure,"
55:21 this is verse 2 and 3 of Malachi Chapter 3,
55:23 "But who can endure the day of His coming?
55:27 And who can stand when He appears?
55:29 For He is like a refiner's fire,
55:31 like launderers' soap."
55:33 And it's so good to be cleaned.
55:36 Me and my brother has been doing
55:37 a lot of fishing lately.
55:39 When you handle worms and slimy fish,
55:43 and you've been sweating in the hot sun all day long.
55:46 You wants to come home and just be clean.
55:48 Feels good.
55:52 Verse 3 says,
55:54 "He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver,
55:59 He will purify the sons of Levi,
56:01 he will purge them as gold and silver,
56:03 That they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness."
56:10 What's the purpose of the Daily?
56:13 The purpose of the Daily, my friends,
56:17 is a sanctifying, cleansing process
56:21 that must occur every single day in one's life.
56:26 And the devil can't have that.
56:27 So why is he opposing the Daily?
56:30 Why is he attacking the Daily?
56:31 Why is it seem that he's eclipsing the daily ministerial
56:35 and intercessory work of Christ?
56:39 Because he's trying to eclipse
56:41 the light of Jesus in your life.
56:44 Don't allow that to happen.
56:47 Have a courtyard experience,
56:49 have a holy place experience
56:51 because when you go through a proper courtyard experience,
56:55 and it leads you to a proper holy place experience,
56:57 there's going to come a day
57:01 when Jesus is going to pull back that veil,
57:03 and He's going to say, "Come on in."
57:07 Because you'll be able to stand flawless
57:11 in His presence.
57:12 Isn't that awesome?
57:14 Not because of a work you've done,
57:15 but because of a work that He has done.
57:18 Let's have a prayer. Father, we praise You, God.
57:22 We thank You so much for all that You have done.
57:27 We thank You so much for the cleansing,
57:31 launderers' soap,
57:33 the refining fires in our life
57:35 that You allow to occur to cleanse us every single day
57:38 to prepare us for heaven.
57:40 Father, let us have a daily experience with You.
57:45 Let us Behold the Lamb of God
57:48 who takes away the sin of the world.
57:51 Cleanse us, oh, God, I pray.
57:53 In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
57:56 Amen. Amen.
