00:40 to Behold the Lamb Presents. 00:41 I'm Chris Shelton, your host, 00:43 I want to thank you for joining us. 00:45 Today's message is entitled Satan's Zeros In, 00:48 and this will be a part one of a two part series. 00:52 It's no surprise to most of us 00:54 that we are in a spiritual warfare between Satan 00:57 and his angels and Christ and His angels. 01:01 Though we often see through this spiritual war darkly, 01:05 as we are drawing closer to the return of Christ, 01:08 it is becoming more evident and more visible, 01:12 that there is a great divide 01:14 amongst the people in this world, 01:16 a divide that has been created by their choice 01:20 of whom they have chosen to serve. 01:22 This war began in heaven itself, 01:25 and was centered around the law of God, 01:28 the character of God, and the choice 01:30 of whom the angelic host 01:32 would ultimately give their allegiance to. 01:35 Likewise, the finality of this war 01:38 is still being fought, listen, over the law of God, 01:42 the character of God, 01:43 and whom we choose to give our allegiance to. 01:48 Thus, we sense the war for our souls is intensifying 01:53 as the enemy of God, Satan 01:55 is zeroing in on those who have chosen alliance 01:59 to the God of heaven, and keep the commandments 02:02 of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. 02:06 None living on this planet will escape having to make 02:10 a decision to serve the beast and his image 02:13 or the one true God of heaven. 02:15 So stay tuned today as we join Pastor Kenny Shelton 02:19 As he presents Satan Zeroes In. 02:23 But first let's visit 3ABN and listen to a song 02:26 That we hope will be the desire of your heart 02:29 And it is entitled All of Me as you choose 02:33 To surrender all of your heart to Christ, 02:36 As sang by Sandra Entermann. 02:56 Holy Father, 02:59 Love me still 03:03 I have fallen from 03:07 Your will 03:11 I am broken 03:15 Hear my humble cry 03:22 My cry 03:26 Take my life 03:30 And make it Yours, Lord 03:35 Fill me with Your love 03:42 You are all I need 03:48 I surrender 03:51 All of me 04:03 I have wandered 04:06 For so long 04:10 Tired and weary 04:14 On my own 04:18 In Your arms I know I'm home, 04:24 O God 04:28 My God 04:33 Take my life 04:36 And make it Yours, Lord 04:41 Fill me with Your love 04:47 You are all I need 04:54 I surrender 04:57 All of me 05:03 Take my life 05:06 And make it Yours, Lord 05:11 Fill me with Your love 05:18 You are all 05:21 I need 05:28 I surrender 05:32 I surrender 05:36 I surrender 05:41 All of me 06:08 Thank you for joining us once again here 06:10 at Behold the Lamb Ministry. 06:11 We praise God for you and your willingness 06:14 to spend this time with us in the study 06:16 of the Word of God. 06:18 I look forward to it every time we come together. 06:20 I mean, what do we do without people 06:22 who are willing to tune in, 06:23 people who are willing to listen 06:25 and people who are willing to pray 06:26 and support the ministry? 06:28 You know, we have more than what we... 06:30 This little group that we have meeting here, 06:32 their messages that we do here, 06:35 and it's not any kind of a braggadocios type thing. 06:37 It's simply a praise to God that they literally go where? 06:43 Okay, see him, somebody's really excited today. 06:45 He went around the world, round the world, 06:49 that is fulfilling God's commission, is it not? 06:53 He said, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel." 06:56 We have that privilege and opportunity 06:59 only God can give to do that. 07:01 So you can see I'm excited about it today 07:04 and excited about each one of you. 07:05 Thank you for your cards, your letter, 07:07 support of Behold the Lamb Ministry. 07:09 We believe there's much more that can be done to hasten 07:12 the coming of Jesus Christ. 07:14 We believe that we're living in the last hours 07:16 of earth's history. 07:18 We believe that in order to be ready, 07:20 you know, for His coming, we need to be studying 07:22 the Word of God like never before, 07:24 because if you look in the mirror, 07:26 like I look in the mirror, sometimes I've been saying, 07:28 "Am I a candidate for heaven?" 07:30 And I asked myself the question, 07:32 "If I could go to heaven today," 07:33 listen church, "If I could go to heaven today 07:36 would heaven be a better place if I was there, 07:38 just like I am, or would it be a worse place?" 07:41 Don't anybody answer? 07:42 'Cause somebody answered, boy, it be a better place. 07:44 I want to talk to you later. 07:46 Is that okay, Herb? 07:48 Okay, he's fastening his eyes. 07:50 Do we get that? 07:51 If we can say, right now, if we can say, 07:54 "Heaven will be a better place, 07:55 if I can go just like I am right now, 07:57 just go on up, there's going to be a better place." 07:59 Somebody is not telling the truth. 08:02 And I don't know you in would lie, 08:03 I don't know all about not trying to be judgmental. 08:05 But I'm just simply saying, 08:06 each one of us will look in the mirror 08:08 and we'll say, "You know, we're not, 08:09 we don't think we've arrived." 08:10 Right? 08:12 When you look in the mirror and you see Jesus' face, 08:15 then maybe you might have arrived. 08:17 When you see your own face, we're are in trouble. 08:19 At least I am, so forgive me if I put you in that class. 08:23 Today, we're going to be talking about a subject 08:24 about Satan Zeroes In. 08:28 Remember, Satan has you in his sight, sights. 08:33 Do you get it? 08:35 You, unless you have the mark of God in your forehead, 08:40 the enemy is going to take a shot at you. 08:41 And he's going to take shots, but they won't affect you 08:44 as they do the rest of the world. 08:45 Remember, he's going for the brain, 08:47 he's going to try to get rid of you. 08:49 So zero, Satan zeroes in right now. 08:52 He means business. 08:54 He's got a nice big rifle, 08:56 you know, it's got a scope on it. 08:57 He's really looking at everybody, 08:59 he's getting ready to pull the trigger. 09:01 As always, before we get into the Word of God, 09:04 we believe in prayer again, 09:05 and I'm going to kneel right here 09:06 and have prayer here up front. 09:08 And I invite those who are at home, 09:09 and those who watch, those who listen, 09:11 those who are in the car, going down CD, 09:13 you know, CDs, DVD, 09:14 whatever it might be that you want to pray with me, 09:16 please do. 09:17 Let's pray right now. 09:19 Merciful Father in heaven, 09:20 we thank You for the privilege of prayer. 09:21 Thank You that we can call you our Father. 09:23 Thank You that You're there for us. 09:24 Now we invite Thy Holy Spirit in a very awesome 09:28 and sacred way to come near to each of Your children today. 09:31 Open our hearts and our minds, 09:33 things we may not have heard before, 09:34 things we just might be reminded of again, 09:37 that we need to be aware of these things 09:40 to prepare ourselves for the soon coming 09:42 of Jesus Christ. 09:43 Bless us, we pray to this and in Jesus' name, 09:45 we pray, bless each one who listens, 09:47 who hears, and may we see Jesus, 09:49 in His name we pray and for His sake, amen. 09:52 Satan zeroes in. 09:54 What does that mean, Satan zeroes in? 09:56 What we're going to do 09:58 and this is a couple of parts series here because, 09:59 and it should be three or four or five or six, 10:01 because it deals with a whole lot of stuff, 10:04 things that we need to realize 10:06 is what was the great controversy in heaven 10:10 before Satan's fall. 10:12 Lucifer, before he fell, what was the issue? 10:16 And then after he fell to this earth, what was the issue? 10:21 And as we go down the stream of time, 10:23 and if we look Old Testament times, 10:25 New Testament time, what was the big issue? 10:29 There had to be a big issue, something that took place, 10:32 because, as it were, it stirred up all of heaven 10:35 and Lucifer could no longer stay there, 10:37 because he wanted his own way, 10:40 and that's no different than most probably Christians today. 10:43 We call ourselves Christians, but we want it our way. 10:47 And God says, it's His way. 10:49 And that is going to be a test for us. 10:52 So that you talk about a universal plan of salvation 10:56 and redemption is going to include, listen, 11:00 the vindication of the name and the character of God. 11:04 Remember it, 11:05 we think we are the ones that are on trial, 11:07 and we are, right? 11:09 We have a time of probation, 11:11 whether we're going to spend with God, 11:13 or we're going to go to hell, let's just be honest. 11:16 But remember, God's character has been challenged, 11:19 the devil said that he is, basically he's a liar. 11:22 He don't tell in the truth. 11:26 And his government, 11:27 no one can keep up with the government of God 11:30 that He established in heaven. 11:32 Is that true? 11:33 Could that possibly be true? 11:36 His, God's character was challenged by Satan in heaven. 11:40 We'll go through this in more and more as we go along. 11:43 And notice this, and it was questioned by angels, 11:46 is that true? 11:48 Remember, a third of the angels 11:50 who knew not the sin issue, right? 11:54 They were hoodwinked or deceived by the devil, 11:58 and they followed the enemy, 11:59 and they were thrown out of heaven. 12:02 You need let that sink deep, deep in your heart, 12:05 deep in your mind. 12:06 You think that you can outsmart the enemy by yourself, 12:09 you cannot do it. 12:11 Only by the grace of God, 12:12 only by the power of the Holy Spirit, 12:14 you will be deceived and lost, and I will too, 12:17 unless we follow the counsel 12:19 that God has given us in His Word, 12:21 the only way that God could unmask the enemy. 12:26 Now remember, when the enemy Lucifer in heaven, 12:29 could we say that he had a mask on? 12:33 Why would he have a mask on? 12:35 Was it, way hypocritically you might say, exactly, yeah. 12:39 But he's what? 12:40 He didn't want them to see and understand 12:42 what he was really up to. 12:44 Didn't want to really see him. 12:46 So he was hiding things, 12:47 and as he was talking to the other angels in heaven, 12:51 and the only way he could unmask, 12:53 the only way that he could, don't wait, God could unmask 12:57 and defeat Satan or destroy Satan and his evil angels, 13:00 was to come to this earth. 13:03 Jesus would come to this earth, He would die on the cross, 13:07 in that be willing to be crucified 13:09 because of what the enemy had started 13:11 and what he had done. 13:13 Hopefully, we'll answer the questions in this time, 13:15 in the next time as people say, 13:17 "Why didn't God after He seen these things, after He knew, 13:20 He knew all along what Lucifer would be up to. 13:24 Why didn't He just put him out of his misery?" 13:28 Isn't that right? Why didn't He put him out of his misery? 13:31 Why didn't He just do him in 13:32 and then we wouldn't have to go through all the mess 13:34 that we've gone through. 13:35 That's questions that need to be answered, 13:37 and we will answer those as we go along in our study. 13:40 But God said, the only way that I can get, 13:42 so God's character is on right. 13:44 People look at Him, right? 13:45 The angels are looking at, they're questioning, like, 13:47 because you realize those two thirds that stayed there, 13:50 they too, I believe, had questions, but by faith, 13:53 they accepted the plan that God had, they stayed. 13:58 We have to realize what took place with Lucifer 14:02 who was, I would say, 14:04 would be the first created in the image of God. 14:09 Think about it. 14:11 He was next to Jesus Christ in power and wisdom and might, 14:15 and the billions and trillions, whatever it might be, 14:18 of angels adored Lucifer, 14:21 before he chose to go the wrong way. 14:23 So a lot of questions had to be answered. 14:27 That's why God didn't just sniff him out. 14:31 But if God let it go for a while, 14:34 and not put Satan, I say, out of his misery at once, 14:37 good things could happen. 14:41 God's character would be revealed for what it really 14:44 is because the devil said, "This is not who you are." 14:48 God said this, but that's not what He really meant. 14:52 He said the government, He governs the universe 14:54 with His full of good of all the angels, everyone. 14:57 And the devil said, "It's not. 14:59 He's got something better in mind." 15:01 But if we let it go world for a while God said, 15:03 "You know what, the character of the enemy 15:05 is going to be revealed, 15:06 and also My character will be revealed." 15:11 And then this would justify destroying Satan 15:15 and his evil angels. 15:17 To destroy them to begin with would have been left 15:19 to many questions unanswered. 15:21 Does that make sense? 15:22 It had too many questions 15:24 because they didn't understand the issue. 15:27 And so God said, 15:28 "We're going to have to let it go for a while." 15:30 I've said that sometime in ministry, 15:33 and in personal life, and probably you have too. 15:36 Someone said, "We need to take care 15:37 of the issue right now." 15:39 He said, "If we take care of the issue right now, 15:41 there'll be many who don't understand what's going on." 15:44 There'll be more problems than ever. 15:46 Let it go for just a little while, 15:48 and it will expose itself, 15:50 then people will be able to see that this choice 15:53 and decision was right. 15:55 Hebrews 2:14 says, 15:56 "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of," what? 16:01 "Flesh and blood, He also Himself," who's that? 16:04 Jesus Christ, isn't that right? 16:07 "Likewise took part of the same." 16:09 Jesus came down here, He partook of our nature, 16:12 our sinful nature without sin. 16:16 After 4000 years of sin, He came down that level, 16:19 He didn't start where Adam and Eve was at. 16:22 He started after there was 4000 years of sin upon this earth. 16:25 He wanted it even-steven 16:27 that we couldn't say He had something, 16:29 He used something that we cannot have or use. 16:33 If He did, He could not be my Savior. 16:35 Are you still with me, church? 16:38 He had to be equal. 16:39 And sometime we make excuses for our sinful life 16:42 because we'll say, "He had an edge." 16:44 He had no edge. 16:45 He cannot be my Redeemer, 16:47 He cannot be my Savior if he had an edge. 16:48 If He used something that I cannot have, 16:50 He cannot be my Savior. 16:53 The Bible said, "He came in flesh and blood, 16:56 took part of the same, 16:58 that through death He might destroy him that had power 17:01 of death that is the devil." 17:04 Jesus said, "The only way that we can rid, 17:06 right, the universe of the devil now is for me 17:08 to come down here to live the life, 17:10 challenge that," what? 17:12 "To live the perfect life." 17:14 The devil said, "You can't live the perfect life." 17:16 You talk to people, right? 17:17 You can't live the perfect life." 17:19 Isn't that interesting, good food for thought? 17:22 But wasn't that the question that was really posed here, 17:24 no one could live that close to God? 17:27 Interesting, I think maybe it was in Elijah's words? 17:29 Wasn't he translated without saying? 17:33 Because he actually was living there what? 17:35 A perfect life. 17:37 Thank you. Exactly. 17:40 So there were those in Scripture, 17:42 and certainly Christ came down here 17:43 and He lived the perfect life, 17:45 not even in thought that He, right, sinned. 17:48 1 John 3:8, 17:49 "For this purpose, 17:51 the Son of God was manifested," for what purpose? 17:56 For this purpose, the Son of God what? 17:58 "To destroy the devil." 18:00 To live the life without sin, 18:05 we've all fallen short, we need, right, 18:08 we need the life of Jesus Christ. 18:10 By faith, we must accept His life, 18:12 His victory, and He offers Him to us today. 18:16 And He lived that perfect life, 18:18 He might destroy the works of the devil, 18:22 that He might expose the devil, 18:24 that He might condemn the devil, 18:26 I like that, that He might conquer the devil, 18:29 that He might destroy the devil. 18:32 Well, somebody should shout, at least somebody should say, 18:34 that time has come 'cause Jesus came and lived the perfect life 18:37 and He died, right? 18:38 We have a chance for salvation. 18:40 And the devil is going, these days, 18:41 is going to be putting an end to and all the evil angels. 18:44 Everyone that's followed the devil, 18:46 God has it right now, He's conquered him. 18:48 That's already, Calvary proved that. 18:50 Is that not true? 18:52 See, that's exciting. 18:54 Brother Mark says a lot of times second chances. 18:56 And then we decided, we'd count third and fourth 18:58 and fifth and maybe 10,000 chances we get 19:01 that He gives us over and over 19:02 when we ask for forgiveness, how good that God is. 19:05 Satan is zeroing in on you. 19:08 He knows his time is short. 19:10 He's zeroing in on me. 19:12 Everything you go to touch is jumping 19:14 and jerking and twisting and you're wondering, 19:16 everything seems to go wrong. 19:18 No matter what you get, what you do, 19:20 it seemed to be wrong. 19:21 The devil is just attacking, attacking and attacking. 19:24 Certainly a lot of false doctrine and stuff 19:26 is going out. 19:29 You know, we said, we received it, was an email, 19:31 I don't what was that, 19:32 last night where it was from Australian 19:34 and somebody most send a couple, 19:36 and I know you're going to be watching, and it's okay. 19:40 I'll be gentle as I can be. But you know what? 19:42 You weren't too gentle on that email 19:43 because you're going to send some book to teach us 19:45 how to understand the Book of Daniel and Revelation. 19:48 You're going to tell us how wrong that three 19:50 and a half years, 19:51 you know, Christ came right the Messiah 19:53 and then death three and a half years late in ministry, 19:55 and he's telling us that the ministry of Christ 19:57 was 70 weeks. 19:59 Kind of interesting, isn't it? 20:03 Anyway, we took 70 weeks in Daniel, 20:05 not going that right now, but realize that's 490 years. 20:09 Anyway, it's just, everything is so torn up 20:12 and somebody else kind of emailed in and said, 20:14 "Oh, man, that is the truth." 20:16 Man, we're laughing. Not even close to the truth. 20:18 Not even close. 20:20 And so the enemy is throwing his stuff out there right now. 20:23 But listen, I believe 20:24 that God has the people here in these last days, 20:26 that's going to do some grand, wonderful things through Him. 20:30 And it's going to be to where the messages 20:32 become a little more starling, 20:34 they're going to have a little more power to them, 20:36 it's going to get the people stirred up 20:39 just a little bit more in this whole business 20:41 of coming to church and sleeping and somewhat, 20:43 that's over. 20:45 That's over. 20:47 Third time's the charm, it's over. 20:50 Yeah. All right. 20:52 Right. Because why? 20:53 Because we have not time to do that. 20:57 Devil wants to put your mind to sleep 20:59 so you cannot make an intelligent decision. 21:02 He wants me to be asleep to say, 21:04 "Oh, well, it doesn't," listen to it, 21:06 "it doesn't matter what we believe." 21:07 Yes, it does. 21:10 It doesn't matter what you believe, why? 21:13 Because we're all trying to get to the same place. 21:16 We're all headed toward the same place. 21:21 That must be we're all on the same path, isn't that right? 21:24 Can we all say we're, "Okay, let's go. 21:26 We're going to Johnson City. 21:27 Well, you go this way, and I'll go that way." 21:29 If you go that way, 21:30 you're not going to make it to Johnson City. 21:33 Well, yeah, we head any way we want. 21:35 No, we can't. There's only one road. 21:38 Isn't that right? We look at it. 21:39 I believe that God has a church. 21:42 And it's a time for God's people to realize 21:44 that in more ways, maybe than you ever thought 21:48 about before, let alone the world. 21:51 Very few times have you heard this passage, 21:53 Revelation 12:17 read. 21:56 Very few people maybe read it, 21:58 and we should have it memorized. 22:00 And let me just read Revelation 12:17. 22:04 Remember, Revelation 12:17 speaks 22:06 of a great conflict in earth's history. 22:11 Bible prophecy points out these things, 22:14 it clearly that Satan's hatred, 22:17 and his strong attacks are directed against 22:21 a certain group of people. 22:24 Now, if you can prove differently, come on, 22:27 you can prove differently in that. 22:29 This passage proves that the devil is attacking 22:32 a certain group of people. 22:34 He hates them, 22:36 he's going to do everything he can to destroy them. 22:39 With him out of the picture, 22:40 he still thinks he has a chance to win. 22:45 And it says those who keep the commandments of God, 22:49 it talks about the remnant church 22:52 is at war with the enemy of souls. 22:55 The remnant church is at war with the enemy 22:58 of souls or should be. 23:01 We are at war. 23:05 We have to be willing to die in the line of duty. 23:08 Does that make sense? 23:10 When I was in service, you know, they said to me was, 23:15 "I'm your mama, and I'm your papa." 23:20 That was a sergeant. You're my mama and my papa. 23:23 I hadn't her talk like that. 23:25 Really? 23:26 And you don't think on your own, we'll tell you, 23:30 we'll think for you, 23:32 and you do what we tell you to do. 23:38 And you will do it, or you wish you had of. 23:46 God doesn't operate that way, but the enemy certainly does. 23:50 The remnant church is at war. 23:53 And so I'm, can I... 23:55 it all right to say I'm sick and tired? 23:58 We get sick and tired of the same old, fluffy stuff 24:02 that's going on some time that we're not at war, 24:04 it doesn't make any difference. 24:06 Sit back and relax. 24:07 Again, we're all headed in the same place. 24:08 And we're all going to make it in our own little way. 24:11 Listen, we make it heaven, 24:12 we make it in God's way or we don't make it. 24:15 After all, He owns a universe and He sets the rules. 24:19 Herb, He sets the rules, does He not? 24:22 No one likes rules, you say, but you know, 24:23 rules are all right. 24:25 What if we didn't have any kind of rules or regulations? 24:28 What kind of a football game 24:30 when we have without rules? 24:33 Baseball, what we... 24:34 All got rules and we say the rule says, 24:36 the rule says, 24:38 here we do everything we want to do, 24:40 go here and go there, and you'll say, 24:41 "But there's a rule against that." 24:43 There ain't no rule in church. Really? 24:45 There's no rules in the Word of God? 24:47 Ten simple ones? 24:50 Revelation 12:17, 24:51 Lord have mercy, the time flies. 24:53 Let's read it. I've got to read it or the time's gonna be up. 24:57 Notice what the Bible said in Revelation 12:17. 25:01 And it starts this way. 25:02 And the dragon, who's the dragon? 25:06 The Devil. 25:08 Satan was wroth, what does that mean? 25:11 Angry with the woman. 25:12 Who's the woman? 25:14 The church. 25:15 You know, what's it, 25:17 Jeremiah 6:2, you can read that. 25:19 You can read about the true church 25:20 of Revelation Chapter 12, 25:22 and the false church in Revelation Chapter 17. 25:24 Man, there's a difference. 25:26 One's pure and white standing on the moon, 25:28 the other is riding on a scarlet colored beast, 25:31 dressed like the world and things going on. 25:33 Do you see what I'm talking about? 25:35 The woman at the church and notice what the devil did? 25:37 "He went to make war with the remnant," 25:42 that means the remainder of her seed, 25:45 that's the children, right? 25:46 Notice it, "of those who keep the commandments of God 25:50 and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." 25:53 Here you find 25:54 the two identifying marks of God's last day church. 25:58 Not everybody has it. 26:00 We're not trying to condemn one group or trying 26:02 to build up one group at all. 26:04 I'm doing what the Bible says here. 26:06 God says this, that the devil is mad with a certain group. 26:10 So evidently, 26:11 if you don't believe in keeping the commandments of God, 26:13 the devil is really not mad at you. 26:14 He's already got you. Right? 26:18 Because, he's angry with, right here, it says here. 26:23 He's angry at those who keep the command. 26:25 So if you don't believe in keeping the command, 26:27 I'm talking about all 10. 26:29 Don't give me this business nine, 26:31 or eight I believe in, or seven I believe in. 26:35 That doesn't make sense. 26:36 We'll prove that as we go along. 26:38 It's all the commandments. 26:40 So if you're not a believer in all 10, you don't fit here. 26:44 The devil is angry at them, why? 26:46 He's threatened by this little group of people. 26:49 He's not threatened by the others 26:50 who don't keep them or who breaking them. 26:52 He's not threatened at all. 26:54 But he's threatened by you who by God's grace, 26:57 willing to keep the commandments of God 26:59 and have the testimony of Jesus Christ, 27:01 which is the Spirit of Prophecy, is that not? 27:04 Revelation 19:10 makes it very, very clear. 27:07 I want to establish this as to be a foundation for us 27:10 to building and then tracing the big problem from heaven, 27:12 all the way down till Jesus comes. 27:16 Let's make sure this is clear. 27:18 'Cause if we don't get this clear so far, 27:21 you know, we're just going to be confused and messed up. 27:23 This is not just a put together group. 27:26 This is a movement of destiny. 27:29 This is a movement of destiny 27:31 that God has ordained in the last days 27:34 that people will come up and proclaim 27:36 the three angels' message. 27:38 They'll proclaim that there is... 27:39 We're living in the judgment hour 27:41 that Jesus is soon to come. 27:43 He's going to take us back and say, 27:44 "Go back to the one that made heaven 27:46 and earth and sea and all that in them is." 27:48 That means you go back to creation, 27:49 you go back to creation, 27:51 you go back to the seven day cycle, 27:52 you go back to the seventh day Sabbath. 27:54 There's no doubt about it. 27:56 As you give these messages, 27:57 then the second angel's message says, 27:59 "Come out of her, My people." 28:01 God has good people everywhere. 28:03 We shouldn't have to say it over and over. 28:05 God has good people everywhere in every church. 28:08 But notice, God's good people will what? 28:10 Will hear what is truth and they'll take their stand. 28:15 Don't get me. Can I say baloney again? 28:17 I say baloney a lot. 28:18 Is that a French word? 28:22 This stuff is, well, I know what it says here. 28:25 But you know, we choose not to do it 28:26 where I go or we don't think we have to do it anymore. 28:30 Since when do we sit in the seat of God 28:33 and decide that we don't have to do it 28:34 when God says to do it. 28:37 I mean that to me I just... 28:38 Have we gone that far? 28:40 Are we that spiritually dead anymore? 28:45 That we say this is plainly what it says, but... 28:51 Let's make sure we see Revelation 19:10 here, 28:54 two identifying marks of God's last day church. 28:57 If you don't fit in this, 28:58 then you're not part of the remnant 29:01 of the last people on this earth. 29:03 It can't be because there's nothing else 29:05 that says it like this. 29:08 If it didn't say it like this, I wouldn't be interested in it. 29:10 Why would I want to talk about it? 29:11 Why bring it up? You know why? 29:15 Because God brought it up. That's why. 29:18 Because God said there's going to be a lot 29:19 of professors out there. 29:21 You know, the ones who says, "I am, I love Jesus, 29:22 I study all the time, I go to church all the time, 29:25 I pay my tithes. 29:27 Man, I've done many wonderful works." You remember that? 29:29 Matthew 24, "I've done many wonderful works 29:31 in thy name." 29:32 And Jesus says, "Depart from me you workers of iniquity. 29:34 I don't even know you." 29:37 So, you might be so done wonderful works, 29:39 you may be given all kind of, but give your body 29:41 to be burned, so what? 29:43 Yet we have not love, love for our fellow man, 29:45 love for God that we're willing to, 29:47 by His grace and strength to keep. 29:49 I can't keep anything on my own. 29:51 I'm useless. I'm worthless. 29:54 But by God's grace, He said what? 29:56 All things are possible through Jesus Christ. 29:59 Let's start thinking as a church positive, 30:01 what do you say? 30:03 It's past, keep your eyes on Christ. 30:05 If you're going to repopulate heaven, my friends, 30:07 I guarantee you based on the Word of God, 30:10 we must be like Jesus. 30:12 That means we need to have His mind. 30:14 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. 30:18 I can't take my worldly, pathetic, weak mind to heaven. 30:21 Is that okay? 30:25 It's not okay somebody said, and I'll probably go on anyway, 30:27 but still yet. 30:29 I mean, think about our mind, it wanders, 30:31 maybe here and there, it goes over in this direction. 30:33 It's out here in the field over here, it's over here, 30:35 that will never happen in heaven. 30:39 So it has to be conquered down here, 30:41 not when we get there. 30:43 This is your hour of probation. This is my hour. 30:47 Whether it's a longer life or short life, 30:50 God knows, He understands. 30:52 But this is the... 30:53 This is the hour. 30:55 The devil is taking aim, 30:58 and he's going to shoot if he can. 31:01 Notice what it says there, remember two identifying marks. 31:04 First of all, they keep all the commandments. 31:06 So if you have a church that doesn't believe or a group 31:08 of people or an individual, it doesn't matter. 31:11 I'm not going to mince about it. 31:12 I'm not going to just try and make excuses about it. 31:14 If you say no, we don't believe in the fourth commandment, 31:17 or we're throwing one of them out, 31:18 you are not part of the remnant. 31:23 I don't take joy. I don't take joy in that. 31:25 But, Herb, I can't see anything different. 31:27 I wished I could see it like sometime. 31:29 Is there slack here somewhere? 31:30 There's not. 31:32 James 2:10 says, "If you fail in one point, 31:34 you're guilty of all." 31:35 Oh, you can't be. 31:38 And then it says, here's the other one. 31:40 Here's the other one. 31:42 It says Revelation 19:10. 31:44 What is the Spirit of Prophecy? 31:47 Revelation 19 says, notice, it says, 31:49 "And I fell at His feet to worship Him. 31:52 John, isn't that right? John was there. 31:54 Here come an angel, evidently, listen, 31:56 I fell at His feet to worship Him, 31:58 and He said unto me, "See thou do it not." 32:01 I am thy fellow servant, 32:03 and of thy brother that had the testimony of Jesus. 32:06 Worship God, listen, for the testimony of Jesus 32:11 is the Spirit of Prophecy." 32:13 Man, how clear that is. 32:16 Don't try to work yourself around it. 32:18 Just look at it and say, "Oh, that's clear. 32:20 I don't see any argument there." 32:23 Here comes an angel and he's going 32:24 to be talking right here to John. 32:27 And just prior to that, it's kind of interesting. 32:30 In Revelation 19:9, here's what, 32:34 here's why John fell at the angel's feet, 32:37 because angel came and was talking to him. 32:40 And he was telling him about the invitation 32:43 to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. 32:46 John was so excited. 32:47 He's talking about, you know, heaven, 32:50 invitation coming 32:51 to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. 32:52 And John was so excited about that marriage supper, 32:55 which is a celebration of victory over the enemy. 33:00 So John responds as he hears this message, 33:03 he says, "Oh, how wonderful is." 33:04 And he falls down everyday, prostrate before an angel. 33:08 Surely if you could worship an angel 33:10 would be worth worshiping. 33:12 But not really, is it? 33:14 No, the angel makes it very clear. 33:16 He said, "Don't worship me." 33:18 Notice what he says, "I'm your, I'm a fellow servant." 33:21 Did you get that? 33:23 And John was just doing it because he heard the message, 33:26 he loved it, and he said, oh, this is a heavenly being 33:28 and oh, what else he could do? 33:30 He fell down to worship him. 33:33 But the messenger said, "Don't do this. 33:35 Don't do it." 33:37 He said, "I am thy fellow servant." 33:39 Can you possibly imagine that an angel from heaven, 33:43 right, a worker for God in the very presence of God? 33:48 And then looks at somebody like me, 33:52 want to get, I'm going to go, "Oh, praise." 33:54 No, don't do that. 33:57 I'm your, I'm thy fellow servant. 33:59 That word translated means what in the Greek? 34:02 I'm your fellow slave. 34:04 And angel says to you, "I'm your fellow slave. 34:08 I'm going to work for you. I'm going to live for you. 34:10 I'm here for you." I am... 34:13 Notice it, I'm my fellow bondsman. 34:17 Evidently then the angel came to reveal these truths. 34:23 So the Spirit of Prophecy is one of the identifying marks 34:26 of the remnant church because the Bible says so. 34:30 Now a lot of times we don't like 34:32 Spirit of Prophecy we call, and I wonder why not? 34:35 I've read it from the book, from the beginning 34:37 to the very end and I see prophetic gifts all through it. 34:42 Why is it here in these last days, 34:43 we want to fight that prophetic gift. 34:45 Hopefully we'll get into that next couple lessons we do. 34:49 Well, I feel the third one coming on. 34:52 I know it said two but boy, there's so much here. 34:54 It's good. 34:57 Mama's heart, you got to keep it. 35:01 But let's look a little bit closer about identifying mark, 35:05 so we have the church. 35:09 Specifically, we're talking about a manifestation 35:11 of the Spirit in the form of a special gift 35:16 of the Holy Spirit. 35:20 The Spirit of Prophecy, the gift of prophecy, 35:22 something that comes through the Holy Spirit, 35:25 we at least ought to try to acknowledge. 35:28 We must try to acknowledge what the Holy Spirit has said. 35:31 Listen, the unpardonable sin, 35:33 the only sin that God cannot forgive. 35:35 Come on church, listen, 35:37 is the sin against the Holy Spirit, 35:39 rejecting the counsel of the Holy Spirit. 35:43 God said, He can't forget that. 35:46 He can't forgive. 35:47 So we, manifestation of the Spirit 35:50 that will enable a person, a prophet, 35:53 we will say a prophet, 35:54 to speak as a representative of God. 35:58 If we knew, 36:01 understood that someone was standing here, 36:03 they had a message direct from heaven, 36:06 they were speaking for God, surely we would want to listen. 36:10 Now, that doesn't mean I'm going to just, 36:12 I'm going to say it nicely, blindly, with dead ears, 36:16 because someone says they are. 36:17 I've seen too many frauds. 36:21 There's too many frauds. 36:22 We'll see that as we go along here. 36:24 Maybe we should just return to 1 Corinthians. 36:26 Shall we do that? 36:27 Just make sure in case you're not up on it, 36:29 or in case you are, it's okay. 36:32 We're going to read there in 1 Corinthians. 36:33 Turn with me. 36:34 We want to read something that 36:36 I believe will be a blessing to us because in the Bible, 36:40 we'll find as these things are written out, 36:42 they're written out very simple that we can understand it. 36:46 1 Corinthians Chapter 12, you know about the gifts, 36:48 don't you in there? 36:49 We're going to read verses 7 through 10. 36:51 Are you there yet? 36:53 Okay, somebody says they are. 36:55 I'll just, I believe everybody's there. 36:57 Okay, praise God. 36:58 I'm going to go ahead like everybody is there. 36:59 1 Corinthians 12, we're gonna start in verse 7. 37:02 Here's what the Bible said. 37:04 "But the manifestation of the Spirit 37:06 is given to every man to profit with all. 37:09 Eight, "For to one is given the Spirit of the word of wisdom." 37:15 That's somebody here. 37:16 "To another the word of knowledge, 37:18 somebody else by the same Spirit." 37:21 Remember, the same Spirit's given all the gifts, 37:22 isn't that right? 37:24 So not somebody else was showing them say, well, 37:25 this person get... 37:27 The Holy Spirit is giving the gifts here. 37:30 Verse 8, "For one is given the Spirit of word of wisdom, 37:33 another to the word of knowledge 37:34 by the same spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit," 37:38 come on church, "to another the gift of," what? 37:41 "Healings by the same spirit." 37:43 Number 10, "To another the work of miracles, 37:45 to another, oh, another prophecy. 37:51 And another to discerning of spirits, 37:53 to another diverse kinds of tongues, 37:55 to another the interpretation of tongues: 37:57 all of these worketh that one on the same self-spirit, 38:00 dividing to every man severally as he will." 38:02 So in New Testament here it's talking about what? 38:06 Prophets. 38:08 God says in last days, there's going to be prophets, 38:10 there's no doubt about it. 38:12 People who God would choose to speak for Him. 38:15 Why? Because they can be trusted. 38:18 Can you be trusted? 38:19 Can I be trusted to speak for God? 38:23 2 Peter 1:21, we can read all of that, 38:26 about prophecy, how it came. 38:30 Prophecy came not in old time by the will of what? 38:33 Of man, but by holy men of God 38:36 as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 38:39 I think it's about time that some people got moved 38:41 by the Holy Ghost. 38:43 And there's a right way and there's a wrong way. 38:45 Some get moved it wrong way, and they end up doing things 38:48 that the Bible said, that's not what you do. 38:50 And we still call it the Holy Ghost. 38:51 No, no matter what they do, 38:54 I don't care if they walk on their hands, 38:55 or they walk in the thin air 38:57 and there's nothing underneath their feet. 38:59 If they're doing things that are opposite to Scripture, 39:01 I'm going to call them a fraud. 39:03 Is that okay? 39:04 You have to be able to do that 39:06 because if you don't we'll all be fooled. 39:08 We've got to look at it. 39:09 Maybe you can't explain, 39:11 or I can't really explain all this, huh? 39:15 What does it really mean here? 39:19 You have the divine mind 39:21 and will of God combined with the human mind 39:27 and the will of man. 39:29 Making the words that man speaks or writes down 39:33 becomes the Word of God. 39:35 That's pretty simple. 39:36 That's why we don't just look at this and say, 39:38 "Oh, this is nothing here." 39:40 This is the mind and the will of God right here written 39:44 as He trusts men and He puts the Spirit in them. 39:46 They write in their own language and so, 39:48 but they're under the direction of the Holy Spirit. 39:50 What a world that we live in, 39:52 if we were directed by the Holy Spirit of the Living God. 39:56 How we would write things different, 39:57 how we would talk different, how we would act different, 40:00 how we would live different, 40:02 how we would give a different message than we're giving 40:04 right now everyone's like, "Oh, no, it's Saturday, 40:07 again, it's time for church." 40:09 Come on now. 40:12 The importance of it, we look forward to it. 40:15 Because he said, "Where two or three are gathered together, 40:18 I'll be in the midst." 40:20 I believe the Holy Spirit of Living God 40:22 was here because we've asked it to be here. 40:25 Isn't that right? You have to believe that. 40:26 What an awesome privilege that is. 40:28 Why should the Spirit come in this little group? 40:30 Why should the Holy Spirit? 40:32 Maybe because you've asked in faith believing 40:34 we need the Spirit of the Living God. 40:36 And the day the Holy Spirit does not show up here 40:38 is the day I want to go outside myself. 40:40 Are you still with me? 40:43 Because you can't do anything without 40:44 the Holy Spirit of the Living God. 40:47 We need the combination. 40:48 The remnant church of Revelation 12:17. 40:51 Listen carefully, do not erase that from your mind. 40:54 There's two identifying marks of God's last day church 40:57 that will fulfill His mission to the world, 40:59 to wake the world up, 41:01 to take them back to the way it was, in the beginning. 41:03 God says these people will be doing such and such 41:05 and we'll look at that closer as we go along. 41:08 Remnant church specifically refers to the church 41:13 after the close of the 1260 years, 41:16 during the Dark Ages, 41:18 the close of the 1260 years after 1798. 41:22 Let me just read something to you. 41:24 I'm going to have to whether it takes time or not, 41:25 Revelation Chapter 12. 41:31 I always love to say, here's what the Bible says. 41:34 Does anybody like to hear that? 41:36 Now hopefully, it never gets old to you 41:37 because it's not going to get old to me. 41:39 I need to hear what the Word of God says. 41:41 Revelation Chapter 12 read verses 6. 41:44 Now remember, Revelation Chapter 12 41:48 identifies the true church. 41:52 Now I didn't come out here and say, 41:53 "Well, this was a Baptist, this is Seventh-day Adventist, 41:56 this is Pentecostal, Church of God, 41:59 yeah, it's not by denomination, really is it? 42:02 But there's things in here that we need to look at 42:05 and match up to. 42:07 If we don't, I could care less about some kind 42:09 of a mailbox address. 42:12 Are you still with me? This is important. 42:16 It's very important. 42:18 Notice what the Bible said. 42:19 Notice in verse 1, 42:21 "And there appeared a great wonder in heaven, 42:22 a woman clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet, 42:24 upon her head a crown of," what? 42:26 "Twelve stars." 42:27 We realized something happened in the New Testament, 42:29 a change over from the Old Testament 42:31 to the New Testament, from the sun, 42:33 from the moon as it were, right? 42:34 Coming into the Son Jesus being born here, 42:37 notice that in, as we read verses, 42:39 let me read this to you, I think it's 6 and 14, 42:41 skip down to verse 6. 42:43 Now, here's what happened. 42:44 Remember, persecution broke loose. 42:46 The killing, right? 42:47 Just all kinds of, during the Dark Ages, 42:49 persecution of Christians, here's what the true church, 42:53 here's what happened to the true church. 42:54 If they did not flee into the wilderness, 42:58 they would have been snuffed out. 43:00 Of course, God had a plan, we realize that. 43:02 Persecution was rapid on the Christians. 43:04 Notice verse 6 says, 43:06 and the woman we figured out right, 43:08 we can read that. 43:09 What I say, was that Jeremiah, 43:11 somebody help me, 6:2, 43:14 talking about the church, the woman. 43:16 "The church fled into the wilderness." 43:18 What church? The true church. 43:20 "Where she had a place prepared of God, 43:22 that they should feed her 43:24 for a thousand two hundred and," what? 43:27 "Threescore days." 43:29 God said His true church would go into hiding 43:33 because of the Dark Ages of the papacy for 1260 years. 43:38 Interesting. 43:40 So those churches that were in operation 43:42 during those time from 538 to 1798, 43:47 could not possibly be the remnant church, 43:49 because the remnant church was in hiding. 43:52 That's what the Bible said, a place in the wilderness. 43:55 Do you get that? 43:56 Some people say, we were in the 1500, we were in the 1600. 43:59 God said his last church, 44:01 the church would appear at the end of time, 44:04 because they had end time message, 44:06 they would shock the world, 44:07 the world didn't really want to hear it. 44:08 It's going to be different than most people were preaching 44:10 and teaching. 44:11 And people say, "That can't possibly it." 44:13 Let me tell you, if you can't see 44:14 things going on in the world today that you said 44:16 couldn't possibly take place 44:17 that has taken place in the last year and a half. 44:19 Get your head out of the sand. Come on. 44:21 You know what I'm talking about here. 44:23 What happened here? 44:24 They should fill that 1260 days here. 44:27 Notice this, "And there was war," where? 44:31 "In heaven." 44:32 Verse 7, Revelation 12, 44:34 "Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. 44:36 Who's that? The devil. 44:38 "And the dragon fought and his angels." 44:41 Now remember, people say, 44:42 "Well, you're talking about the dragon, 44:44 you're talking about, we don't know what that mean." 44:45 Read, just read verse 9. 44:47 The Bible said, "And the great dragon was cast out, 44:49 the old serpent, 44:51 called the Devil and Satan was deceived the whole world: 44:54 he was cast out to the earth 44:55 and his angels cast out with him." 44:57 There was a problem in heaven, 44:58 and that's what we have to look at today, 45:00 the devil approached that problem, 45:02 God said no, cast him out to this earth. 45:06 Would it be fair to say before we get too far along in there, 45:09 that this earth was created, right, 45:12 for the great controversy between good and evil? 45:15 The earth was created for that purpose, 45:17 because He was going to cast the devil out of heaven, 45:20 not just to go any place that he pleased, 45:22 but here to this earth. 45:24 Man, there was a purpose. 45:27 Now let's go a little bit farther. 45:30 Then, we're talking about God created man. 45:32 Was there a purpose for God to create man? 45:37 Wasn't it part of what took place in heaven when they said, 45:39 "Oh, no one can keep God's law, His government's not good. 45:41 His character is not good, blah-blah." 45:44 God said, "Well, what we have do, 45:45 we've got a place down here, the devil will be here, 45:48 He created men and women free choice, 45:51 put them down here. 45:52 And they will either vindicate My character 45:54 for what I am, or not, or vindicate his." 45:58 Think about it. 45:59 His character is on, right? 46:03 It's on display for the world, 46:05 and His character is being challenged, 46:07 that we either have the character of God 46:09 or we do not. 46:10 And it's not just some time, and some time not. 46:13 We either have His character or not. 46:15 Notice that. 46:16 Here's the church. 46:18 God tells of the church 46:19 and the conflict with the powers of evil. 46:23 But I like this, it tells also of the power 46:27 that God gives it for victory at the end. 46:31 Did you hear, God's church will be victorious? 46:35 You cannot be part of that, and I cannot be part of that 46:38 if we will not listen to these things 46:40 that God has written in His Word. 46:43 Why study the Book of Daniel, why... 46:45 I might as well sit down. 46:47 Why study the Book of Daniel, study the Book of Revelation? 46:50 Because they are two end time books 46:53 for God's end time people. 46:54 That's why we studying those books right now. 46:57 Yes, you study all the other, you see the love of Christ, 47:00 and the gifts and all these other things, 47:01 and the cross of Calvary is wonderful. 47:03 But if you do not see love in these, 47:05 the books of Daniel and Revelation, 47:07 you don't, maybe you're not seeing love at all. 47:10 God is revealing some wonderful things. 47:11 He said, I'm revealing these things because I love you. 47:14 I want you to know it. 47:15 I want you to warn the world because the world 47:17 is basically deceived. 47:18 They're drunk with the wine of Babylon. 47:21 And He's given a call to come out. 47:25 We know the woman represents the true church. 47:27 But notice she's about the New Testament Church 47:30 at this time, Revelation 12, 47:32 is about to give birth to Jesus Christ. 47:35 Is somebody with me? Would you like me to read that? 47:39 Notice what it says Revelation 12:2, 47:41 the Bible said, 47:44 and she, we're talking about the church, right? 47:46 "And she being with child cried, 47:49 travailing in birth and pained to be delivered." 47:53 Wow. 47:55 That's kind of heavy duty words when you look. 47:58 Read verse 4, shall we? 48:00 "And his tail," who's the tail? The enemy. 48:02 "Drew the third part of the stars of heaven, 48:05 did cast them to the earth: 48:07 and the dragon," we know who that is, don't we? 48:09 Do we know now? 48:10 Yeah, "Stood before the woman 48:12 which was ready to be delivered to devour her child 48:16 as soon as it was born." 48:20 Was it not? 48:22 Wasn't that Herod, right? 48:23 Going to kill all what? 48:25 All male babies, right, two years and under. 48:28 Here was a dragon standing over. 48:30 We don't know where Jesus is going to be born, 48:32 the best thing to do, let's kill all 48:33 of the little kids two and under, 48:35 we make sure we get Him. 48:36 The Bible is saying here exactly 48:38 what took place in the church, God's true church. 48:42 Boy, that's heavy duty. 48:45 Verse 5, "And she brought forth a man child who was to," 48:49 oh, listen, "who was to rule," in case you're still in doubt, 48:54 "all nations with a rod of iron. 48:56 And her child was all caught up unto God and to His throne." 49:02 Who else could that be but Jesus Christ? 49:04 Is somebody still with me? 49:05 He's to rule all nations with a rod of iron. 49:07 You go back to Isaiah, all these things right here, 49:09 who was caught up to God's throne, 49:11 sits on the right hand of the Father, Jesus Christ. 49:14 New Testament, God's Church, 49:16 His New Testament Church in Revelation Chapter 12. 49:18 He's identifying His church, His people, 49:21 they will do what He's asked them to do. 49:24 It may not be popular, but He's asking them to do it. 49:27 Later on. 49:28 They said the church will be persecuted, 49:31 following His ascension, we realize that, 49:34 I think in verse 5, 49:37 and then 13 through 17, 49:39 we're not going to read all those, 49:40 read all those again 13 through 17. 49:42 Boy, I'm telling you, when you look at this, 49:45 it just so plainly reveals God's last day church. 49:50 Now remember, this church represents 49:52 not the Old Testament and the New Testament. 49:56 God's church is not different in one place, 49:58 you're not saved differently in the Old Testament 50:00 than you are in the New Testament. 50:01 Somebody with me? 50:02 Oh, in the Old Testament, they're saved by works. 50:04 You're saved by grace in the Old Testament, 50:07 New Testament, you're saved by grace. 50:09 Isn't that wonderful? 50:10 By grace are you saved through faith is a gift. 50:13 Surely that was before Jesus came 50:15 and Jesus said that were the sacrificial system, 50:18 did He not? 50:20 That the shedding of the blood, 50:22 which He says in Leviticus without shedding a blood, 50:24 there is what? 50:25 No remission of sin. 50:26 The day would come when He would die on the cross. 50:29 And we realized when He died on the cross, 50:31 the Matthew talks about there, 50:32 the curtain in the earthly sanctuary of what? 50:35 The temple was torn from top to bottom, 50:37 about as thick as a man hand. 50:39 No man could do it. 50:40 It was ripped, just like that saying, 50:41 now the way is open to the most holy place. 50:44 His last stop before He comes back here to this world, 50:47 which He's standing before the Ark of the Covenant, 50:49 the Ten Commandment Law. 50:52 Isn't that beautiful, why? 50:53 Because we have broken, the mercy seat is there, 50:56 the angels are over that right there. 50:58 Jesus is claiming His blood. 50:59 We've all sinned and come short of the glory of God. 51:01 Man, we were all going to die if we don't have a Savior. 51:04 People in the world say, "I don't need a Savior." 51:06 Yes, you do if you want to go to heaven. 51:08 There's no other way to get to heaven 51:10 other than by Jesus Christ. 51:12 In the earthly sanctuary, where there's only one door 51:14 to get in, and that door is Jesus Christ. 51:17 You can't climb over it, you can't buy your way into it. 51:20 You can only come through the door. 51:21 He says, "Behold, I stand at the door and what? 51:24 I stand at the door and knock. 51:25 Any man open that door, 51:27 I'm going to come in and sup with him." 51:28 You know what? 51:29 People are not, they're not hungry, evidently, 51:31 and they don't want to sup as it were, 51:32 and they don't want to knock, they're too lazy. 51:36 You see what I'm talking about here? 51:37 This is awesome, 51:39 awesome message that God has given 51:42 that we need to digest by the grace of God. 51:45 Revelation 12:17 stands as a clear prediction 51:50 of this special manifestation of the Spirit, 51:53 the gift of prophecy in the church in our day. 51:56 Remember, make a couple points before our time is almost up. 51:59 New Testament writers nowhere suggests 52:04 the gift of prophecy was to end in the Apostolic Church. 52:09 Come on, are you still with me? 52:10 Oh, no, we don't do that anymore. 52:12 What do you mean you don't do? 52:13 You might not be doing it but the Bible said, "Go ahead." 52:17 See, we need to get over that saying, "Well, we don't." 52:20 What do you mean, we don't? 52:21 We've decided is that what you would. 52:23 God said, "No." 52:25 None of the writers, none of them, 52:26 you can't find it in there, none of them suggest 52:29 the Spirit of Prophecy ended at the Apostolic Church. 52:33 In fact, Paul, you remember in Ephesians was it 4:11 says, 52:38 the gift of the Spirit will continue. 52:41 Verse 13, "Till all come to the unity 52:44 of the truth of faith," notice this, 52:47 "and knowledge of the Son of God," 52:50 notice this, "and come into a perfect man, 52:54 unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." 52:58 So that means the Spirit of Prophecy, right? 53:01 Prophetic gift will be in the church until Jesus comes. 53:05 Man, the church needs it today. 53:07 The world needs it today. 53:09 And the devil is trying to throw it out 53:10 because he knows you'll be able to see it 53:12 clearer than ever before. 53:13 I can see it clearer ever before 53:15 because God has given us some things that we can read, 53:17 say, "Oh, now I get it." 53:19 It harmonized 100% with the Bible, 53:21 there's no doubt about it. 53:23 We'll read more of that as we go along with it. 53:26 But since all, listen carefully, 53:28 since all of these other special gifts 53:31 are mentioned in verse 11. 53:33 Are you there in verse 11? 53:37 And notice this and are still 53:39 and they're still needed in the church. 53:41 Come on, they're still, all these other gifts 53:44 are still needed by men and women 53:47 who are still qualified by the Holy Spirit, 53:50 notice this, to fill their offices. 53:53 So why shouldn't the office of the prophet be considered? 53:58 Why should it be considered as you know, 54:00 like, it's exception. 54:02 Did you get it? 54:03 All the other gifts that are mentioned in there 54:05 all of a sudden they're just, oh, it's okay for them, 54:07 but then prophetic gift, oh, no this out. 54:09 How can we do that? You can't. 54:11 You can't. 54:13 I mean, to me, it's just a simple proof truth right there. 54:18 It's included with them. 54:19 It's not exempt. 54:21 Another point in the Old and New Testament, 54:22 the church was warned to watch out for a false Christ. 54:26 You remember that, false prophets? 54:28 2 Chronicles 18, 54:30 and Jeremiah Chapters 27 through 29. 54:34 Those warnings, watch out for false prophets, 54:36 when the time would come about the coming of Jesus Christ, 54:39 and we believe that's near. 54:41 Matthew 24:11 and 24 said, 54:45 "The deceptions of these false prophets would be so great 54:49 that if it were possible," what? 54:51 "It would deceive the very elect. 54:54 Jesus warned against false prophets. 54:57 Therefore, notice this, 55:00 there must be a genuine manifestation of it, 55:03 or He would have simply warned us against all prophets 55:07 who might arise. Does that make sense? 55:10 He's warned about the false so it must be there is a true. 55:14 If there was no true He just said, 55:16 "All prophets is no good."
