00:17 "Antichrist in Action" America beware. 00:21 Now I want you to look over here 00:23 at this man here. 00:25 I just want to tell you that's not a really good 00:28 because the antichrist doesn't look like that at all. 00:31 Yeah, but we put this up because we thought 00:34 at least it would get your attention, 00:37 but the Bible tells me 00:39 that the antichrist is a person who is listen to this, 00:44 the word antichrist does not mean against Christ. 00:48 The word antichrist means in the place of Christ. 00:53 Today, we're going to give you great evidence 00:56 why an honest seeker of the truth can believe. 01:03 I'm going to give you evidence 01:05 that has led millions of atheists 01:09 in Russia to believe in God. 01:11 So I want you to hear the evidence, 01:13 and I want you to be the judges. 01:15 Want you to come to the opening passage in scripture 01:18 which is 2 Thessalonians 2:3-5, 01:23 2 Thessalonians 2:3-5 01:31 in the Bible. 01:33 And here Paul is talking about the coming of the man of sin, 01:38 and the great antichrist or the person 01:40 who comes in the place of Christ. 01:43 The Bible says verse 3, 01:45 "Let no one deceive you by any means, 01:48 but that Day will not come 01:50 unless the falling away comes first, 01:53 and the man of sin is revealed, 01:56 the son of the perdition, 01:58 who opposes and exalts himself 02:00 above all that is called God or that is worshiped, 02:04 so that he sits as God in the temple of God, 02:08 showing himself that he is God. 02:11 Do you not remember that when I was still with you 02:15 I told you these things?" 02:18 So this is rather incredible and tremendously important. 02:22 The Bible says that the antichrist is not a power 02:26 that is blatantly opposed to Christ. 02:29 It is a power that assumes the prerogatives of Jesus. 02:36 The Bible says, "He sits in the temple of God." 02:41 I want you to know this 02:43 that the greatest deception in the world, 02:46 you know what it is? 02:48 It's religious deception. 02:51 We're going to discover this today 02:53 as we look at the prophecy. 02:55 Let me give you just a few opening observations. 03:00 Number one, the first Americans, 03:02 the Pilgrim Fathers, 03:04 and we're proud of this great country 03:07 and the great heritage. 03:09 But the early Americans understood this prophecy 03:12 that I'm going to talk about today. 03:15 You will find today that in this great land 03:17 probably not one person 03:19 in a thousand is even aware of it 03:22 but America was built 03:25 upon an understanding of the prophecies 03:27 about the antichrist. 03:30 Second observation, truth is noble and important. 03:35 Jesus said in John 8:32. 03:39 He said these tremendous words, 03:42 He said, "And you shall know the truth, 03:45 the truth will make you free." 03:47 Remember this, not all ideas are the same. 03:52 We live in a time of political correctness 03:55 when people say, 03:56 "Well, everybody has the right to his opinion which he has." 04:00 But not all ideas are of equal 04:05 value and merit. 04:07 Observation number three, 04:09 the greatest truth that you can find anywhere is this. 04:12 God exists and he loves you. 04:17 Want you to come over here to Romans 5:8, 04:20 Romans 5:8, 04:23 the Bible says, Paul says, 04:26 "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, 04:29 in that while we were still sinners, 04:32 Christ died for us." 04:38 Now many people have been taught 04:42 that God is the terrorist in chief. 04:47 You can find this in all the church creeds 04:50 that the God of the Bible is going to burn 04:54 sinners in hell for all eternity. 05:00 No wonder so many people believe 05:03 it's all right to torture our enemies. 05:08 A person cannot rise any higher than his concept of God. 05:15 And if you think God does things like this 05:20 then what's so bad about water boarding. 05:29 So the Bible teaches that God is far better than 05:31 we had ever dared to hope. 05:37 He is a wonderful God. 05:38 I do not believe in an eternally burning hell. 05:44 We're going to talk about that one day. 05:46 Remember you rise no higher than your concept of God. 05:50 If you think God does things like this, 05:53 you're not going to be a very kind person. 05:56 And observation number four is this, 05:59 God knows our hearts 06:02 and God has got His people in every nation 06:06 and in every church. 06:08 Want you to know this. 06:10 I have a personal belief that some of you may share, 06:13 you may not share it. 06:15 I believe the vast majority of God's true children 06:19 are found not in my church 06:21 but in the Roman Catholic Church. 06:26 And so God is much bigger than we are. 06:30 Now we're going to notice 06:31 the identification marks of the antichrist. 06:33 Number one, the antichrist is a counterfeit 06:37 and I want you to turn in the scriptures 06:39 to 2 Thessalonians 2:3, 4. 06:43 The antichrist is a counterfeit, 06:47 he masquerades in religion. 06:49 The Bible says, 06:51 "Let no one deceive you by any means, 06:52 so that Day, the coming of Christ, 06:54 will not come unless the falling away 06:57 from truth comes first, 06:58 and the man of sin is revealed, 07:00 the son of the perdition, 07:01 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God 07:05 or that is worshiped, 07:06 so that he sits as God in the temple of God, 07:10 showing himself that he is God." 07:13 This is pretty important. 07:15 People say, well, 07:17 the great antichrist is atheism. 07:21 Well, it's antichristian 07:22 but it's not the antichrist to Bible prophecy. 07:26 The Bible says 07:28 the antichrist is the great pretender. 07:34 When you go to Russia, 07:36 you'll find the Russian ruble is not worth a great deal, 07:42 about 65 rubles to the Dollar. 07:45 Not many people are counterfeiting rubles, 07:49 but lots of people are counting, 07:53 goodness me. 07:55 If I did a counterfeit of the American dollar, 08:00 it wouldn't be this man. 08:04 A counterfeit is so ingenious 08:08 and so clever 08:11 that it's very hard to distinguish 08:13 the true from the counterfeit. 08:16 Number two, we notice the text 2 Thessalonians, 08:21 this is identification of number two, 08:24 he sits in the temple of God. 08:28 Now can you understand now 08:30 why someone doesn't want you to understand this prophecy? 08:35 Can you understand it? 08:36 Can you understand why the devil his duped people 08:40 into believing that no one 08:42 can really understand the Word of God? 08:47 And so the Bible tells me 08:48 that the antichrist with almost the glory of Christ 08:54 sits in the temple of God. 08:55 He sits in what we would call the church. 09:02 Identification mark number 3. 09:04 Now this is where it's going to get 09:06 very strong and very historical. 09:09 The antichrist is built 09:11 on the ruins of the Roman Empire. 09:16 We will see that the antichrist 09:18 came out of the bosom of the Roman Empire 09:22 and we will prove it to you. 09:23 Come over now to the great prophecy 09:25 of Daniel Chapter 7. 09:26 And Jesus told us 09:28 that we should study the prophecies of Daniel, 09:31 he said that in Matthew 24, 09:32 Daniel 7:1-3, 09:34 "In the first year of Belshazzar 09:36 king of Babylon, 09:37 Daniel had a dream and visions of his head while on his bed. 09:41 Then he wrote down the dream, telling the main facts. 09:43 Daniel spoke, saying, 09:45 "I saw in my vision by night..." 09:47 This is Daniel 7:2, 09:48 "And behold, the four winds of heaven 09:51 were stirring up the Great Sea. 09:53 And four great beasts came up from the sea, 09:57 each different from the other." 10:01 As Daniel is watching in spellbound fascination 10:07 in the stream given to him by God, 10:11 he sees four beasts come up out of the sea, 10:15 and we are told in another part of the scriptures 10:18 that in prophecy the sea is symbolic 10:22 of the peoples of the earth. 10:25 And we are also told by the Prophet Daniel 10:30 that a beast is symbolic of a king or a kingdom. 10:35 I want you to notice Daniel 7:17, 10:41 Daniel 7:17, the Bible says, 10:47 "Those great beasts, which are four, 10:50 are four kings which arise out of the earth." 10:54 And verse 23 says, "Thus he said, 10:57 "The fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on earth, 11:00 Which shall be different from all the other kingdoms, 11:03 And shall devour the whole earth, 11:05 Trample it down and break it in pieces." 11:09 Therefore, when you study the Bible prophecies 11:13 and you see these ferocious animals, 11:17 this is God's way of portraying 11:20 some of the great nations in the world. 11:23 And we are going to see that the antichrist 11:26 came out of the bloody Roman Empire, 11:30 the first beast in Daniel 7:4, 11:34 dear hearts and gentle people. 11:36 "The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings. 11:40 I watched till its wings were plucked off, 11:43 it was lifted up from the earth 11:45 and made to stand on two feet like a man, 11:47 and a man's heart was given to it." 11:50 And so the first power that comes upon the world scene 11:53 in the prophecies of Daniel is the lion. 12:01 The lion back in the days of the Babylonians 12:05 was the symbol of the Babylonian Empire. 12:11 Daniel 7 is a repeat of Daniel 2 12:14 under different symbols. 12:16 In Daniel 2 you have the great colossus 12:19 with the head of gold. 12:22 And the head of gold is the symbol of Babylon, 12:25 so what I want to say to every person here today, 12:29 we are not dealing with airy-fairy nonsense. 12:34 We're not dealing with fairytales. 12:37 We're dealing with the facts of history. 12:40 And so the lion is Babylon. 12:42 Everybody who knows anything about this understands it. 12:46 Daniel 7:5, 12:52 "Suddenly another bear and suddenly another beast, 12:59 another beast, the second like a bear. 13:04 It was raised up on one side, 13:06 and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. 13:09 And they said thus to it: 13:11 "Arise, devour much flesh!" 13:15 This is not theology. 13:17 After Babylon came the rapacious bear 13:22 and after Babylon came Medo-Persia 13:26 likened to the chest of silver in Daniel Chapter 2. 13:31 Now some would say who do not understand history 13:35 but you're making this up. 13:36 No, we did not write history. 13:39 These are the facts, 13:41 and look at Daniel 7:6, 13:45 "After this I looked, and there was another, 13:48 like a leopard, 13:50 which had on its back four wings of a bird. 13:53 The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it." 13:58 So you have Babylon, Medo-Persia, 14:01 and then you have the leopard which represents Greece, 14:06 and they were the thighs and the belly 14:08 of the great colossus of Daniel 2. 14:11 This beast being a leopard is tremendously fast. 14:17 It's were the conquering armies of Alexander the Great. 14:22 And you will notice that this beast has got 14:24 four heads and four wings, 14:27 because when Alexander was dying, 14:30 his generals crowded around his bed 14:33 and they said, 14:34 "To whom shall the kingdom go?" 14:36 And he said, "It shall go to the strongest." 14:40 And after a number of years the kingdom of Alexander 14:43 the Great was broken up 14:45 among his four warring generals. 14:49 Let me think, Cassander, Lysimachus, 14:53 Seleucus, and Ptolemy. 14:56 Would you kindly repeat that for me? 15:00 Cassander, Lysimachus, 15:03 Seleucus, and Ptolemy. 15:05 Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Alexander, 15:09 and the break up of the Grecian Empire. 15:11 Notice the next beast 15:14 or the next kingdom, my friend. 15:17 I think it is verse 7, 15:19 Daniel 7:7, 15:24 "After this I saw in the night visions, 15:26 and behold, a fourth beast, or a fourth kingdom, 15:30 dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. 15:34 It had huge iron teeth, 15:36 it was devouring, breaking, in pieces, 15:38 and tramping the residue with its feet. 15:41 It was different from all the beasts 15:43 that were before it, and it had ten horns." 15:47 And this is not theology. 15:51 It is not speculation. 15:53 I say to the unbeliever, 15:56 tell me how did this man know 15:59 that these events would take place 16:01 before they took place. 16:04 So you have Babylon, Medo-Persia, 16:06 Greece and then you come, my dear friends, 16:10 to the dragon or the iron monarchy of Rome. 16:14 And this power was the very embodiment 16:19 of antichrist. 16:21 They gave to the world prosperity, 16:24 Pax Romana, the time of peace, 16:28 power and also persecution. 16:32 You will notice and I want you to see this very carefully. 16:36 This piece, my friend, has ten horns. 16:41 I want you to notice this 16:43 because the ten horns are of great significance 16:47 because the antichrist comes from the ten horns. 16:53 Now I'm talking to an American audience. 16:56 Let me remind you again. 16:59 The Puritans and the Pilgrim Fathers 17:03 were brought up on this. 17:05 This was their bread and their butter. 17:08 And this is why America was founded 17:13 to get away from the persecution 17:16 of the antichrist who came out of the Roman Empire. 17:21 It was this power Rome that crucified Christ, 17:27 that destroyed Jerusalem in 70 A.D 17:29 and that persecuted the Christians. 17:34 And so, in the very heart 17:37 of Rome was antichrist. 17:41 The spirit of persecution 17:44 and the spirit of intolerance is the essence 17:47 and the heart and the soul of antichrist. 17:52 Wherever it may be found, 17:56 wherever it may be found. 18:02 Now look at verse 8, Daniel 7:8, 18:05 "I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, 18:10 a little one, coming up among them, 18:12 that's the antichrist, 18:14 before whom three of the first horns 18:16 were plucked up by the roots. 18:18 And there, in this horn, were eyes, 18:20 like the eyes of a man, 18:22 and a mouth speaking pompous words." 18:25 Now please notice verse 24 in the scriptures. 18:30 "The ten horns are ten kings. 18:34 The ten horns and ten kings 18:36 who shall arise from his kingdom, 18:38 from the Roman Kingdom, 18:40 and another shall rise after them, antichrist. 18:44 He shall be different from the first ones, 18:48 and shall subdue three kings." 18:53 Now listen very, very carefully. 18:58 You have Babylon, Medo-Persia, 19:00 Greece and Rome. 19:04 And then upon the Roman beast, you have ten horns. 19:09 God said, through the prophet, 19:11 the ten horns are ten kings 19:14 who shall arise from this kingdom. 19:20 Roughly approximately between 300 and 500 A.D 19:26 In the year of our Lord A.D. 19:29 between 300 and 500 A.D 19:32 the Roman Empire was not followed 19:34 by another world empire, 19:37 but the Roman Empire 19:39 because of super deficits, 19:44 because of gross immorality, 19:49 because eye of licentiousness and corrupt government. 19:55 The Roman Empire broke up into the kingdoms 19:59 and the states of Europe. 20:02 And so the ten horns on the Dragon Beast 20:07 are symbolic of the Roman Empire. 20:12 And the Bible says it is out of those kingdoms of Europe 20:19 that antichrist arises. 20:23 Now somebody may say to me 20:25 who is not aware of the facts of history 20:28 but this is pure speculation. 20:32 I would say, my friend, that is nonsense. 20:37 These are the facts of history, Babylon, Medo... 20:42 You see we never wrote the Bible 20:43 and we never wrote history. 20:48 Jesus said, "You will know the truth 20:50 and the truth will make you free." 20:53 So you have Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, 20:58 then you have the break up of the Grecian Empire... 21:02 That's right. 21:03 And then you have the bloody Roman Empire 21:06 that crucified Christ 21:08 and made war against the saints of God, 21:10 and then you have the break up of the Roman Empire 21:14 into the kingdoms and the states of Europe. 21:18 And out of those ten kings 21:21 comes the nefarious little horn. 21:24 How did Daniel know? 21:29 I've asked this question to millions of atheists 21:32 around the world. 21:35 And I've had honest atheists come to me 21:39 after this lecture and they have said, 21:41 "We are overwhelmed 21:43 by the evidence that there is a God," 21:47 because only a man inspired by God 21:52 could have written down these things 2500 years ago. 21:57 Now the next point, 21:58 we're going to come now to point number four 22:00 which identifies the antichrist. 22:03 The Bible tells me, he comes up after 500 A.D. 22:08 How do I know? It's easy. 22:10 Look at verse 24 of Daniel 7, 22:14 "The ten horns of ten kings, kings of Europe, 22:19 who shall arise from this kingdom, 22:20 the Roman Empire." 22:22 This is what the Puritans taught, 22:23 my American friends, 22:25 "And another shall arise after them. 22:29 He shall be different from the first ones 22:31 and he shall subdue three kings." 22:35 The little horn 22:37 who is the great antichrist of Bible prophecy 22:42 who sits in the temple of God 22:46 comes up in Europe 22:49 after 500 A.D. 22:54 And so we are looking for a power 22:56 that arises on the ruins of the Roman Empire 22:59 after 500 A.D. 23:02 And point number five. 23:05 He subdues, he overthrow three kings. 23:09 Daniel 7:8. 23:12 Daniel 7:8, "I was considering the horns, 23:18 or the kings of Europe, 23:20 and there was another horn, a little one, 23:24 he starts to add small 23:26 but he becomes the king of all of Europe. 23:30 Coming up among them, 23:33 before whom three of the first horns 23:36 were plucked up by the roots." 23:41 This is not speculation but history tells me 23:44 that there were three European powers 23:49 that withstood the rise of this great, 23:54 great king, 23:56 and they were the Heruli, 23:58 the Vandals and the Ostrogoths. 24:03 This is the sure word of Bible prophecy, 24:07 and this is the word of the Lord. 24:10 Now we come to point number... 24:13 I think it's number six. 24:15 The Bible tells me 24:17 that this literal king becomes 24:19 the greatest king in all the world. 24:23 Look at verse 20, Daniel 7:20, 24:27 "And the ten horns that were on its head, 24:30 and the other horn which came up, 24:33 before which three fell, 24:35 namely, that horn that had eyes 24:37 and a mouth that spoke pompous words, 24:41 whose appearance was greater than his fellows." 24:45 And so Bible prophecy tells me 24:48 that this king who arises out of Europe, 24:52 of the ruins of the Roman Empire 24:54 comes up as a little king. 24:58 But soon He becomes a mighty king 25:03 and he rules the world. 25:06 Now I'm not making this up. 25:08 Please I say to the audience, don't get mad with me, 25:12 I never gave the prophecies, please. 25:16 Now point number seven. 25:18 Identification mark number seven, 25:19 Chapter 7:24, 25:22 "The ten horns are ten kings shall arise from this kingdom. 25:26 And another shall arise after them, 25:27 He shall be different from the first ones, 25:31 And shall subdue three kings." 25:34 I put it to you, 25:37 could it possibly be so 25:41 that this king is different to any other king 25:47 because he is religious. 25:52 And he is in the temple of God. 25:58 More identification marks coming up soon. 26:14 Hello, friend. 26:16 I'm John Carter in Havana, Cuba. 26:19 I'm standing here in Revolutionary Square. 26:23 This great square is dedicated 26:26 to the great communist revolution under Fidel 26:29 that came to this country back 50, 60 years ago. 26:33 This place is still undergoing a revolution. 26:37 We've come to check out the reality of the situation. 26:42 Freedom of speech is not allowed here still. 26:45 Preaching the gospel out of doors 26:48 is not allowed here, 26:49 still whatever you hear about reconciliation, 26:53 nothing has really changed. 26:55 We've been told, 26:57 we cannot run public campaigns in Cuba 27:01 in any part of this world. 27:04 We can run meetings in churches, 27:06 that's allowed. 27:08 So what are we going to do? 27:09 We're going to support the people of God 27:11 in this part of the world. 27:13 We're going to step through those doors 27:15 as God opens those doors. 27:17 We're not going to come and cause a commotion 27:22 and cause trouble to the people of God. 27:25 We will work diligently and as wise as serpents 27:31 and as harmless as doves. 27:34 Stand with us in the preaching of the gospel, 27:37 wherever it is, stand with us. 27:39 Write to me, P.O.
