00:13 Today we're talking about the Antichrist
00:15 and this is part two. 00:17 In the first section we proved to you from scripture 00:21 that the Antichrist is a European power 00:24 and he comes out of the bosom of the Roman Empire. 00:28 The topic is Antichrist in Action. 00:32 Now here is point number 8. 00:37 Identification mark number 8 of the antichrist. 00:41 The Bible tells me that the antichrist rules Europe 00:45 for more than a thousand years. 00:48 Now I want you to come 00:49 to Daniel 7:25, my friends. 00:54 Daniel 7:25, 00:57 "He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, 01:02 shall persecutes the saints of the Most High, 01:04 And shall intend to change times and law. 01:09 Then the saints shall be given into his hand. 01:12 For a time and times and half a time." 01:16 Time times and half a time. 01:17 Come now to the Book of Revelation Chapter 12, 01:20 that deals with exactly the same subject, 01:24 Revelation Chapter 12. 01:29 The last book in the Bible and this Chapter 01:32 in Revelation 12 is also about the antichrist, 01:36 Revelation 12:14, 01:41 and the woman, 01:42 which is a symbol for the church. 01:45 Catholics, Jewish people, Christians all understand that. 01:50 "And the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, 01:52 that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, 01:55 where she is nourished for a time and times 01:59 half a time from the presence of the serpent." 02:01 Time times and half symbolized three and a half years 02:06 and verse 6 will prove it to you, 02:08 "Then the woman fled into the wilderness 02:10 where she has a place prepared by God, 02:13 that they should feed her there 02:15 one thousand two hundred and sixty days." 02:19 Now look at me. 02:21 This great prophecy 02:24 that we're dealing with today is a symbolic prophecy. 02:29 A beast symbolizes a kingdom or a king, 02:35 and a day symbolizes a year. 02:39 I can prove this to you. We have the time. 02:42 These twelve hundred and sixty days are symbolic 02:47 of twelve hundred sixty years 02:50 when a great religious system 02:53 persecuted the saints of God 02:58 because I'm careful in these things. 03:00 Let me say this. 03:02 History never begins with a date 03:05 and it never closes with a date. 03:08 So these dates at the best are approximate. 03:13 But history tells me 03:15 that the leader of that great church 03:17 became a tremendous personality. 03:22 Around this time in 538, 03:25 and if you come through until 1798, 03:30 a very significant event took place. 03:33 We'll talk about this as we move along today, 03:37 it's all got to do with Napoleon Bonaparte 03:41 at least what happened in 1798,. 03:45 Identification mark number 9. 03:49 The Bible says that 03:50 the antichrist is the union of church and state. 03:57 Now I want you to stay in Revelation and come with me 04:00 to Revelations 17:1-6, 04:06 a favorite passage of the founders 04:09 of the United States of America. 04:13 "Then one of the seven angels 04:14 who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, 04:16 saying to me, 04:17 "Come, I will show you the judgment 04:19 of the great harlot..." 04:21 A good woman is the good church, 04:23 a bad woman is the bad church. 04:25 "Who sits on many waters 04:27 with whom the kings of the earth 04:28 committed fornication..." 04:30 The kings joined with her. 04:32 "And the inhabitants of the earth were made 04:34 drunk with the wine of her fornication. 04:37 So he carried me away 04:39 in the Spirit into the wilderness. 04:40 And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast 04:43 which was full of names of blasphemy, 04:45 having seven heads and ten horns. 04:47 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, 04:50 and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, 04:54 having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations 04:58 and the filthiness of her fornication. 05:01 And on her forehead a name was written: 05:03 Mystery, Babylon the Great, 05:07 the Mother of Harlots 05:09 and of the Abominations of the Earth." 05:13 Listen carefully. 05:16 Every commentator Jewish, Catholic or Protestant 05:20 recognizes in Bible prophecy 05:23 a woman symbolizes the church in prophecy. 05:28 A good woman, the good church, 05:31 a corrupt woman, a corrupt church. 05:35 And the Bible tells me that 05:37 during the time of the 1260 years, 05:42 the dark ages. 05:45 There was a woman that sat upon the beast 05:49 and the beast is the state. 05:55 Listen, America was founded by people 06:00 who were opposed to the union of church and state, 06:06 and they wrote it into their constitution, 06:11 and they came to this country 06:12 because they wanted to get away from the woman, 06:17 and the persecutions that went with that woman. 06:22 What is the essence of antichrist? 06:25 Persecution and intolerance. 06:30 Now I believe and most of my American friends 06:33 and my Australian friends and my British friends 06:36 agree with me entirely. 06:38 When I say, 06:39 "Every person has the right to be wrong." 06:45 You laugh, I've said to audiences, 06:48 "Do we have the right to be wrong. 06:49 No. 06:51 Do we have the right to be right?" 06:52 "Yes, we only have the right to be right." 06:55 That's what the antichrist says, 06:58 because what the antichrist says is right 07:01 is not what I say is right, 07:04 but one of the great foundational 07:06 pillars of America is this religious freedom 07:10 and the right of minorities to be wrong 07:13 in the eyes of the majorities. 07:16 Amen. 07:17 You get this. 07:18 This is red-blooded Americanism... 07:24 but how many today understand it. 07:26 How many are prepared to die for it. 07:29 And we are told... 07:32 Here is point number 10, that this great system, 07:37 this great woman, this great church is a city. 07:43 Look at Revelation 17:18, 07:47 Revelation 17:18, my friends, 07:53 "And the woman whom you saw is that great city 07:58 which reigns over the kings of the earth." 08:01 Every commentator who has ever lived 08:04 on the face of this earth has told me 08:07 that in the days of the Bible, 08:10 there was only one city that reigned 08:13 over the kings of the earth. 08:16 This is not speculation. 08:18 This is not theology. 08:20 This is not philosophy. 08:26 This is simply an historical fact, 08:28 the great city that reigned over the kings of the earth 08:30 was the city of Rome. 08:35 And it was out of the great city of Rome 08:40 that came another great city... 08:45 that reigned over the kings of the earth. 08:51 Pray allow me to give you a little history 08:55 of Christian intolerance. 09:00 Pray allow me to give you just a little bit. 09:05 When I looked at this today with my friend Daniel, 09:08 who is working with the computer, 09:10 I thought to myself I have made a real mistake 09:13 the history of Christian intolerance. 09:17 It wasn't Christian intolerance 09:19 because the people who did it were not Christians. 09:24 Just because you say you belong to Christ 09:26 doesn't make you a Christian. 09:28 Amen. 09:31 This is the history of pseudo Christian intolerance. 09:37 The Bible tells me that God founded a church 09:41 in the days of Christ. 09:43 And then the Bible says 09:45 there was a falling away 2 Thessalonians, 09:48 a falling away from the truth. 09:52 A falling away, church and state became one. 09:58 They enforced religious laws, 10:00 and they persecuted people 10:02 who were nonconformists like me and you 10:08 and that became the dark ages. 10:15 The noonday of that system Professor Wiley said, 10:19 "Was the midnight of the world." 10:23 Now my American friends, you say, 10:27 this is all of a shock to us. 10:29 I say shame on you 10:32 because this is bread and butter Americanism. 10:37 This is what America was founded on, 10:41 and this is why the Puritans came to this country. 10:46 Let me follow up by saying something else a little aside. 10:51 Today antichrist is more than a single organization. 10:56 Wherever you find religious persecution, 10:59 there is antichrist. 11:03 I believe in the right to believe 11:05 what the majority thinks is wrong. 11:08 I believe in the protection of the right 11:11 of minorities including Muslims. 11:18 But today we are living in a time 11:21 where liberty of conscience is being threatened. 11:24 This is the essence of America. 11:26 "Congress shall make no law respecting 11:28 an establishment of religion, 11:31 or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, 11:35 or abridging the freedom of speech, 11:37 or of the press." 11:40 We do not go to the government and say, 11:42 "Can we have a religious meeting here today." 11:48 The government has no right to tell us how to worship God. 11:52 Whether to worship God or not to worship God. 11:58 Our souls are free. 12:00 The government does not give us freedom. 12:06 A great document says, 12:09 "The Creator has given to us certain unalienable rights, 12:16 and freedom doesn't come from the White House, 12:19 it comes from God's house in heaven." 12:25 Now, I knew you are red-blooded Americans, 12:31 I was just waiting. 12:33 Now point number 11, point number 11. 12:36 Number 11, the text is Daniel 7:25. 12:42 Here is the text, 12:43 "He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, 12:45 Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, 12:49 And shall intend to change times and law. 12:52 Then the saints shall be given into his hand, 12:54 For a time and times and half a time." 12:59 The Bible tells me the that 13:02 there would arise a great political religious system 13:08 and that is why I've said over and over again, 13:11 that the church in America ought to get out of politics 13:14 and politics ought to get out of the church. 13:17 Amen. 13:18 You see, 13:20 this is what America stands for. 13:23 People saying, 13:24 we want to have a Christian nation. 13:27 Well, do you want to be like Saudi Arabia 13:29 that has a Muslim nation? 13:31 You want theocracy. 13:33 Whenever there is a theocracy, there is persecution. 13:37 Now 13:41 this great power persecuted. 13:45 Whom did she persecute? 13:46 Anybody who had the courage to think differently 13:50 and to speak differently including Roman Catholics, 13:54 Protestants, and Jews, and dissidents. 13:59 And millions of people were put on the rack, 14:04 and this is called as some of you would know 14:07 the work of the bloody inquisition. 14:11 Many of these pictures I took myself, 14:13 Daniel took some of these. 14:16 I went into a great church there in Europe 14:18 and there actually. 14:21 I say to people don't get mad with me. 14:22 I'm not even interpreting the prophecy. 14:25 There is the woman in a great church, 14:30 the same church that had these things. 14:34 And there is a woman, in one hand she holds a cross, 14:38 in the other hand, 14:39 she holds the flames of persecution. 14:43 You say these of course, 14:45 I can tell you where you're going 14:47 to take the pictures yourself. 14:49 This is a remarkable 14:51 fulfillment of Bible prophecy. 14:53 There is the book on the Inquisition 14:56 that told the clerics how they could prolong life 15:00 to exert the greatest amount of pain. 15:04 Do not say this is Christian, 15:07 I was wrong when I said, 15:08 "This was a history of Christian intolerance." 15:11 Because the people who did this 15:12 only assume the name of Christ, 15:14 they had nothing to do with Jesus. 15:17 Because Jesus never, never persecuted. 15:21 Jesus never put a man on the rack, 15:24 never burned a woman at the stake. 15:30 Now point number 12. 15:33 Point number 12, the Bible says, 15:35 that this system receives 15:39 a deadly or a mortal wound. 15:43 And you can read that in the Apocalypse 15:45 and Revelation 13:3, 15:50 and the Bible says in Revelation 13:3, 15:55 "And I saw one of his heads, one of the leaders, 15:58 that had been mortally wounded, 16:00 and his deadly wound was healed. 16:03 And all the world marveled and followed the beast." 16:08 Let me give you a tiny bit of history. 16:12 This great power received the consummate wound, 16:19 the overwhelming wound, 16:23 the deadly wound in the year 1798, 16:26 when General Berthier, 16:28 one of the generals of Napoleon Bonaparte. 16:30 After the French Revolution 16:32 marched down into the capital of Rome, 16:37 and the leader was taken prisoner. 16:40 People say, it was coincidence. 16:42 Who are you kidding? 16:45 It was the fulfillment of the Word of God. 16:48 That is why I'm a Christian, 16:50 that is why I appeal to every person 16:51 watching the telecast to believe in Christ. 16:55 Here is overwhelming evidence why you can believe. 16:59 Somebody came to me last week and said, 17:00 "It's all a lot of fairytales." 17:03 I say that is nonsense. 17:05 Pardon the plainness of speech. 17:06 It is not nonsense. 17:08 We are dealing here my friend 17:09 with the sure word of God's prophesy 17:11 written down thousands of years ago, 17:14 and fulfilled hundreds and thousands of years 17:17 after the prophecies were given. 17:20 And there was another man 17:21 who gave a deadly wound to that organization 17:25 and that was this man whom I have always admired, 17:29 this Roman Catholic priest. 17:33 Roman Catholic priest of course he was, 17:35 Martin Luther, 17:38 and Martin Luther rediscovered two great truths, 17:43 the great truths about the Christ. 17:45 Number two, 17:46 and the truth about the antichrist. 17:48 Did you know that? 17:50 And this gave birth to America. 17:52 There would be no America without Martin Luther, 17:56 you didn't know that. 17:59 And Martin Luther gave to the world 18:03 Sola Fide - By Faith Alone, 18:05 Sola Scriptura - Only Scripture. 18:10 In other words if you can't get it out of scripture, 18:14 you've got a problem. 18:16 All truth, spiritual truth must come from scripture. 18:21 Sola Solus Christus, only Christ. 18:26 People say, "Do we need a priest today?" 18:29 Of course we do, 18:31 and we have one, his name is Christ. 18:34 Sola Gratia, only grace and to the glory of God alone. 18:40 Now there is something that made America great 18:44 and America did not originate it 18:48 and that is freedom. 18:52 Jesus said, "You know the truth 18:54 and the truth will make you free." 18:56 The countries that have freedom have prosperity. 19:00 They're the healthiest people, 19:03 the happiest people, they live the longest. 19:07 When people have the Bible and Christ, 19:09 it gives them freedom. 19:11 Amen. Amen. 19:13 And Martin Luther started a great movement 19:16 that is called "The Reformation" 19:18 and that is why America was founded. 19:21 Let America forget her roots 19:25 and America is doomed to the Dark Ages. 19:30 Don't forget it. 19:31 And there are many 19:32 who wish to rob us of our heritage. 19:38 And I've been told you must never teach those things, 19:41 you must never preach those things. 19:45 I've said, "I shall preach these things. 19:48 I shall teach these things, 19:50 so help me God, 19:52 and I will and I have." 19:54 So he receives, he receives a mortal wound. 20:00 But the Bible says, point number 13 20:03 that the mortal wound is healed. 20:08 Revelation 13:3, 20:11 "And I saw one of his heads 20:14 as it had been mortally wounded, 20:17 and his wound was healed. 20:20 And all the world marveled and followed the beast." 20:26 We are living in the day when this is happening. 20:31 That is why I appeal to people to think for themselves 20:38 to be slave to no man, 20:43 not to be bound by the decrees 20:45 of any hierarchy Catholic of Protestant. 20:51 Sola Scriptura. 20:54 The Bible says, in the last days 20:56 the deadly wound is healed. 21:00 There comes a mass movement 21:03 of mesmerized deluded souls. 21:09 They do not follow scripture 21:11 but they're caught up in the emotion of the movement 21:17 and they're swept into the vortex of destruction. 21:22 Point number 14, 21:24 he changes God's law, this is next week. 21:27 Point number 14, he changes God's law. 21:29 Want you to see the text. 21:31 Daniel Chapter 7, 21:32 "He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, 21:35 Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, 21:38 And shall intend to change times, 21:40 times, times, times and law. 21:45 Saints shall be given to his hand 21:47 for time and times and half a time." 21:49 That's next week. 21:51 The Bible says that this power 21:53 has so much authority and arrogance 21:57 that he even takes hold of the law of God 22:01 and changes the law 22:04 and the whole world almost is deluded. 22:09 And point number 15, Daniel 7 says, 22:12 he continues until the second coming of Christ. 22:15 Daniel 7:25, 22:19 and onward some of the grandest words 22:21 in all of Scripture. 22:22 Daniel 7:25 and onwards, 22:24 "He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, 22:27 Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, 22:29 And shall intend to change times and law. 22:32 Then the saints shall be given to his hand 22:34 for a time and times and half a time. 22:37 But the court shall be seated, 22:39 And they shall take away his dominion, 22:41 To consume and destroy it forever. 22:44 Then the kingdom and dominion, 22:46 And the greatness of the kingdom 22:47 under the whole heaven shall be given 22:49 to the people of the saints of the Most High. 22:51 His Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, 22:54 And all dominion shall serve and obey Him." 22:59 So listen carefully, 23:01 we are simply not dealing with the dark ages. 23:07 The Bible says that this power endures 23:12 until the coming of Christ. 23:14 Therefore he must be here today. 23:18 We came down to the feet and the toes. 23:23 We're living in the toes of time. 23:25 And the Bible says that 23:27 this power does his fireworks 23:32 in the last days. 23:35 What lies ahead, let me tell you. 23:40 The conflict of the ages, I'm telling you. 23:45 It's going to be something 23:47 which is going to involve every ideology, 23:53 every church, every religion. 23:59 The conflict of the ages, 24:00 it will be Christ or antichrist. 24:05 You know the story of those three young men, 24:08 who got tossed into the burning fiery furnace. 24:12 You know that story. 24:15 They thought they were finished, 24:18 they discovered that these young men would not bend, 24:21 they would not bow, they would not budge, 24:24 and hallelujah, they would not burn. 24:26 Amen. 24:27 And that's how it is going to be with the people of God 24:30 who will stand the test in the last days. 24:34 They're not going to budge, they're not going to bow, 24:39 they're not going to bend, and hallelujah, 24:43 they're not going to burn. 24:46 Now next week, 24:48 "Dark Deeds of Antichrist Revealed". 24:52 So in history here it is, 24:54 Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, ten horns, 24:59 the rise of the civil religious power, 25:02 the dark ages, the changing of the law of God. 25:06 And then finally the fireworks in the last days, 25:09 the last great conflict, the great test. 25:13 And then of course, when that is done 25:16 and the people of God are saved, 25:18 Christ will return for His people. 25:21 Amen. 25:22 Now listen carefully 25:26 as I make my appeal to your heart. 25:32 Ultimately and even today, 25:34 there are only two powers that concern us, 25:38 Christ and antichrist. 25:43 And as the man said in the Bible, 25:45 I say with you, 25:47 "As for me in my house, we will serve the Lord." 25:52 Amen. 25:54 Amen.
