00:03 and John Carter has the facts to prove it. 00:06 Will America's deficit 00:07 bring about the collapse of the present world order? 00:11 What happened in the ill-fated Weimar Republic? 00:14 And how does that affect us? 00:16 Does Bible prophecy reveal our future? 00:20 Now, here is John Carter with the answers. 00:27 Today, we are talking 00:29 about the coming economic earthquake. 00:32 This is part two of the series. 00:34 If you missed the first part, then you need to write to us. 00:38 And also, we have a broacher on this, 00:43 and you can write to us, 00:45 and you can get some of these facts, 00:47 not all of them by any means. 00:48 But you can get 00:50 some of these facts in this newsletter 00:52 that is called, 00:54 "The Coming Economic Earthquake", 00:57 which is about the tremendous deficit 01:00 in the United States of America basically. 01:03 Now in the last program, 01:05 after talking about 01:06 the possible collapse of the world economy, 01:10 we ask this potent question, what shall we do? 01:16 And the first point was, let us have faith in God 01:19 because if we have faith in God, 01:21 we really have got nothing to fear, 01:24 and we gave you some text. 01:25 But we're going to coming now to the second answer 01:28 to that question, what shall we do in light 01:31 of these tremendous developments? 01:34 And here it is, we should join another party. 01:40 And I'm not talking politics today 01:42 because we're not into politics. 01:44 We're not talking, 01:45 we're not saying anything derogatory 01:48 of the Republican Party or the Democratic Party 01:51 or any other party. 01:52 But I have a suggestion to make to you, 01:55 if you want to survive, 01:57 you and I need to join another party. 02:01 And the text is Matthew 19:28, 29. 02:07 I'm going to take my Bible and here it is. 02:10 Matthew 28, Matthew... 02:14 No, not, Matthew 19:28. 02:18 "So Jesus said to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, 02:21 that in the regeneration, 02:23 when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, 02:26 you who have followed Me,'" 02:28 He's talking to His disciples, 02:30 "'will also sit on twelve thrones, 02:32 judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 02:36 And everyone 02:37 who has left houses or brothers or sisters 02:40 or father or mother or wife or children or lands, 02:43 for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, 02:49 and inherit eternal life.'" 02:52 Now listen to this, my friend. 02:55 The Bible says, Jesus says, when you put God first, 03:01 you're going to be a 100 times better. 03:05 The Bible makes the extraordinary claim 03:09 that even if 03:10 and when the world economy collapses, 03:13 if you've joined the party of the Lord Jesus Christ, 03:18 you're going to be safe, 03:20 and you are going to be secure. 03:25 Listen, with God we shall prosper 03:29 even when the banks fail, 03:31 which they shall, and when the dollar, 03:34 the mighty dollar is worth half a cent. 03:37 Therefore, decide now to join 03:41 the party of the Lord Jesus Christ. 03:44 And you will be safe and secure. 03:48 Number three, this is picking up 03:50 from where we left off in the first segment. 03:53 Number three, get out of debt. 03:58 See, I can't get out of debt, it's the American way. 04:02 I say on the authority of scripture, get out of debt. 04:05 Look at Psalm 50:12. 04:11 God says, "If I were hungry, I wouldn't tell you. 04:15 For the world is Mine, and all its fullness." 04:18 This means God owns everything. 04:21 And if you belong to God, you will never go hungry, 04:25 God will take care of you. 04:27 Then Haggai 2:8, 04:32 "'The silver is Mine,' God says. 04:34 'The gold is Mine,' says the Lord of hosts.'" 04:37 This means God owns everything. 04:41 I don't need to be afraid 04:43 and have sleepless nights thinking about the deficit. 04:47 Remember, my friend, in 2008 04:52 what the banks did to millions of decent good Americans. 04:56 The banks got millions of decent Americans 05:00 into home loans, and when the banks failed, 05:05 you know what the banks did? 05:06 They threw the people out on the streets. 05:09 You say, "No, no, no, no." Yes, yes, yes, yes. 05:13 The banks threw the people out on the streets. 05:18 We should be slaved to no one, including Bank of America, 05:23 City Bank, Bank of the West, Wells Fargo etcetera, etcetera. 05:29 You see, I belong to God, 05:31 and God wants to me to be free of debt. 05:33 Now come over here to the Book 05:35 of Deuteronomy 28:1. 05:41 "Now it shall come to pass, 05:42 if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, 05:46 to observe carefully all His commandments 05:48 which I command you today, 05:51 that the Lord your God will set you high 05:54 above all nations of the earth." 05:57 The Bible says, "If you and I obey God, 06:00 He's going to put us 06:01 over all of the nations, of the earth, 06:04 and therefore, 06:05 I will not be a slave to any man. 06:08 Deuteronomy 28:2, 3. 06:11 "And all these blessings shall come upon you 06:13 and overtake you, 06:14 because you obey the voice of the Lord your God. 06:18 Blessed shall you be in the city, 06:20 and blessed shall you be in the country." 06:22 If you follow God, 06:24 He's going to load you down with blessings. 06:26 Look at Deuteronomy 28:4, 06:31 "Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, 06:35 the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, 06:38 the increase of your cattle 06:40 and the offspring of your flocks." 06:42 God is going to bless you in every different part 06:46 of your life. 06:48 Deuteronomy 28:7. 06:50 These verses are written for people who obey God. 06:54 "The Lord will cause your enemies 06:56 who rise against you to be defeated," 06:58 that crooked attorney going to be defeated, 07:02 "before your face, 07:03 they shall come against you one way 07:05 and flee before you seven ways." 07:08 Either we're going to believe in God 07:11 or else we're going to become unbelievers. 07:13 I choose today to believe in God. 07:16 I choose to believe. 07:18 With God's help, I tell you, 07:21 we can be debt free. 07:25 Now here is the text in Proverbs 10:22, 07:30 "The blessing of the Lord makes one rich." 07:34 People say, "This must be prosperity gospel." 07:36 No, this is Bible talk, folks. 07:39 This is telling you what the Bible says, 07:40 don't be afraid of the great promises of God. 07:44 "The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, 07:47 and He adds no sorrow with it." 07:51 So if you go along to the bank, they'll give you a loan, 07:53 and they'll add sorrow to it. 07:56 But when God gives you a blessing, it's only blessing. 08:01 I know what I'm talking about. 08:04 My parents went 08:05 through the great depression in Australia. 08:08 I don't know if any of you folks know 08:09 what I'm talking about. 08:11 The world economy collapsed once. 08:14 The way it's going now is going to be 100 times worse. 08:19 And people are sound asleep, 08:21 and the politicians want to keep you asleep. 08:24 They want to treat us 08:25 like a bunch of dopes. 08:30 They want us just to say, "Yeah, yeah, yeah." 08:34 They want to brainwash us. 08:37 But we had this great depression. 08:40 My father in Australia 08:42 with my mother had a little shop. 08:45 They told me the time came 08:46 when they had one thing left in the shop in the window, 08:50 a pumpkin, nothing left, they lost the shop. 08:55 My father got on his Harley, 08:57 drove around all the part of Southern Queensland, 09:01 Southwest Queensland. 09:03 Went farm after farm, "Can I have a job?" 09:05 "No, we've got nothing, we've got nothing." 09:09 It seemed almost everybody seemed 09:11 to be out of a job. 09:12 The government said, "We'll put you on the dole. 09:15 I don't if Americans know what the dole is. 09:19 It's like a little bit of welfare. 09:22 My father had to walk about 20 miles 09:25 to get 17 shillings and 6 pens, 09:28 $1.75 in today's currency. 09:31 But a loaf of bread was only $0.5. 09:34 And so he had to walk 20 miles, 09:36 and he had to walk 20 miles back. 09:39 He had a wife, two little girls, 09:43 they didn't have enough food 09:46 to feed the little babies. 09:50 My mother had shown kindness 09:52 to a Chinese market gardener, 09:57 years before, and he came to my mother and said, 10:00 "Mrs. Carter, here are some tomato seeds." 10:04 Ponderosa tomato seeds. 10:07 My mother, a woman of faith planted 10:10 the ponderosa tomato seeds, 10:14 and they went crazy. 10:16 People came 10:18 from all over that part of Australia 10:20 to buy cases of these ponderosa tomatoes. 10:25 They just bloomed, and bloomed, and bloomed 10:29 and that's how they bought milk for the children. 10:34 That's how they had food. 10:37 I want you to know, 10:40 even when the economy falls to pieces, 10:44 we have faith in God, and we will not be afraid. 10:49 God will provide our needs. 10:53 Now let me tell you why. 10:55 People wonder how we do this. 10:57 The Carter Report ministry is not a big ministry, 10:59 we're a little ministry, but we do big things. 11:02 I would rather be a little ministry 11:04 that does big things than a big ministry 11:06 that does little things. 11:07 You see, and there are lots of people 11:09 who're talking a lot and doing little things. 11:13 But we hire 11:15 some of the biggest stadiums in the world. 11:17 India, this is in El Salvador, 11:22 Russia, the biggest stadium, 11:24 St. Petersburg, 11:25 the biggest stadiums in the country. 11:28 And we do it, my friends, starting with no money. 11:33 People say, "Well, how do you get the money?" 11:35 "You belong to a wealthy church," they say. 11:38 "You belong to a wealthy denomination, 11:41 they pay for it all, don't they?" 11:46 We get this much from our church organization, 11:51 but God says He will bless us if we do His will. 11:56 And He moves upon the hearts of people in America, 12:00 and Australia, around the world, 12:03 and they send their money, 12:06 and it preaches the gospel. 12:10 So I know what I'm talking about, 12:11 I've seen the blessing of God. 12:13 I've had people say to me, "You can't do it. 12:16 You're going to get yourself into trouble." 12:20 Anytime we get into trouble is when we disobey God. 12:23 Now today, I'm talking 12:25 about the coming financial earthquake. 12:28 And for those who've just tuned into this program, 12:30 I want you to just have a look at this. 12:33 Over here, you got the Weimar Republic 12:36 that was set up after the First World War, 12:39 there you've got the German mark 12:41 that used to be the same as a dollar. 12:44 But after this period of time, 12:46 up here in 1923 started in 1919 at the end, 12:50 halfway through that year. 12:53 You had to take 12:54 $4,210,500,000, 000 marks 12:59 to make a dollar. 13:02 And people were starving, people were starving. 13:07 And the German government was borrowing. 13:10 Ever hear of that? 13:12 Oh, governments are not so stupid, yeah, borrowing. 13:15 And you know what they were doing, 13:17 they were just printing the money. 13:19 And the German people believe their leaders 13:23 and voted 90% for Hitler. 13:28 Because these huge deficits often bring 13:32 about a collapse of society 13:36 and the coming of a dictator. 13:40 I want you to look here at the American deficit. 13:45 Starting here, everybody seems to be the blamed. 13:50 We're not talking parties here 13:52 because all parties have been drunk on money. 13:57 You say, "Not my party." 13:59 Hey, come on, friend, think, 14:03 just do some thinking. 14:06 Just do some thinking about this, 14:08 I ask you in the name of God. 14:09 Now we've got a deficit 14:13 of $20,000 billion, 14:16 the greatest debt in the history of the world. 14:20 Not only the greatest debt in the history of America, 14:22 the greatest debt in the history of the world. 14:24 And they say, "This is the tip of the iceberg." 14:28 And soon in the next few years, 14:31 it will go, if we're blessed to $26 trillion 14:37 that is if we don't have a war. 14:45 Borrowing and printing money. 14:48 Unless the president and the Congress act soon 14:52 to rein in this orgy of spending, 14:56 there will be a financial collapse, 15:00 not if, but when. 15:05 Washington and other places 15:08 are drunk on money, 15:11 and the people are sleeping and want to sleep. 15:16 Remember the German Weimar Republic. 15:19 Imagine spending $1 million in the morning 15:22 for a loaf of bread, 15:24 and $2 million for the same loaf 15:26 that afternoon. 15:28 And you've got to take a wheelbarrow, 15:32 and then you got to get a truck. 15:37 I want to show you where the events are pointing. 15:39 I want you to come over here 15:40 to the prophecy of Ezekiel 7:19. 15:45 I want you to think about this, if this wakes you up, I'm glad. 15:49 If this wakes you up to say, I want to trust in God 15:52 and not trust in man, I'm glad. 15:55 Ezekiel 7, "They will throw their silver into the streets, 15:59 and their gold will be like refuse. 16:02 Their silver and their gold 16:04 will not be able to deliver them 16:07 in the day of the wrath of the Lord, 16:09 they will not satisfy their souls, 16:11 nor fill their stomachs, because it became 16:14 their stumbling block of their iniquity." 16:18 Many years ago in Australia, 16:19 I heard a great preacher describe this day. 16:24 He said, I imagine a young man comes down to breakfast, 16:27 we will call him John, I think it's such a good name. 16:30 He comes down to breakfast, and his wife says, 16:33 "John, what's wrong with you, you look terrible." 16:36 He says, "I don't know what's wrong with me, 16:39 I just feel the doom of the damned. 16:42 I heard a preacher talk about it once, 16:44 and I close my ears." 16:49 Then he thinks to himself, "I know what it is. 16:52 It's because I put my money 16:54 before God," like most of us. 16:58 He thinks, "If I can get rid off of my money, 17:00 I will feel okay." 17:02 So he runs upstairs, and he goes to a safe 17:05 where he's got his sliver, and his gold, 17:07 and his jewelry, he gets it all. 17:10 He runs out in the street. 17:14 And in the street, 17:15 there are people running everywhere in the street. 17:22 Vast lost crowd, people running everywhere. 17:25 And John takes the silver and the gold, 17:27 and he throws them into the street, 17:29 into the midst of the crowd. 17:31 And nobody stops to pick it up. 17:35 It's a stumbling block of their inequity. 17:38 One day, we're going to get smart, 17:43 and we're going to realize 17:45 that the most important thing 17:46 is not money, it's God. 17:51 Our relationship with God. 17:55 Many years ago, I'm told there was a woman 17:57 who was given a job in a big silk mill. 18:01 And the supervisor said, "Young lady, 18:03 this silk is hard to tangle, don't mess with it. 18:06 If it starts to tangle, 18:09 don't try to straighten it out." 18:10 Just like us, 18:12 we let it get tangled and gets worse. 18:16 He said, "Don't try to straighten it out. 18:18 There is a button, push me, I will come. 18:20 Remember, don't try to straighten it out." 18:25 He was gone for a minute, started to tangle. 18:29 She thought, 18:30 "I can't call him now, he'll think I'm a fool." 18:35 So like us she tried to straighten out the mess. 18:39 The more she tried to straighten out the mess, 18:44 the worse it got. 18:46 And finally, I know it's just 18:50 a hopeless mess and mess 18:54 of tangled threads. 18:59 She pressed the button, 19:03 and the man came running, and he said to her. 19:06 He said, "Why didn't you call me?" 19:10 She said, 19:11 "Sir, I did my best." 19:16 He said, "Young lady, the best thing 19:18 you could have done was to call for me." 19:23 You know the best thing we can do? 19:25 Hey, best thing for you and for me to do 19:28 is to get off for a little while off the cell phone. 19:32 You know, people are addicted. 19:35 Cell phone addicts, they can't go anywhere. 19:39 They can't go out to eat. You see them. 19:43 Recently I saw a lady 19:45 with her little boy having breakfast, 19:48 he'd earphones, watching a violent video, 19:53 oh, bang, bang, bang. 19:55 Here is the mother sitting there, yeah. 20:00 He's not eating 20:01 so she pushes him a few scrambled egg. 20:05 Don't laugh about it, 20:07 it's an addiction as bad as heroin. 20:12 It destroys mind. 20:15 People can't think. 20:17 Can only think in one or two sentences. 20:20 You know, what's happening to them? 20:22 They're getting ready to be deceived 20:24 by the antichrist. 20:27 Ninety percent of the Germans, 20:29 "Yeah, he is our guy." 20:35 It is a stumbling block of their inequity. 20:39 The best thing you and I can do is to call God. 20:43 Repent of our sins, 20:45 and ask Christ to come into our hearts, 20:49 that's the best thing we can do. 20:51 Repent of our sins. 20:55 Now come with me to Matthew 24:21, 22. 20:58 Matthew 24, 20:59 "For then there will be great tribulation, 21:02 such as has not been 21:03 since the beginning of the world 21:06 until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 21:09 And unless those days were shortened, 21:11 no flesh would be saved, 21:13 but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened." 21:18 So there comes a time of trouble 21:20 when the elect are on the earth. 21:21 Matthew 24:29-31, 21:26 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days 21:28 the sun will be darkened, 21:30 and the moon will not give its light, 21:32 the stars will fall from heaven, 21:33 and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 21:36 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the heavens, 21:39 and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, 21:42 and they will see the Son of Man 21:44 coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 21:48 And He will send His angels with a great shout, 21:50 the sound of a trumpet, 21:52 and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, 21:56 from one end of heaven to the other." 21:59 My friend, I'm just a plain simple person, 22:05 I don't like being brainwashed by preachers or politicians. 22:09 This verse tells me 22:11 that after the great tribulation Christ comes. 22:16 Now with an apology to my evangelical friends, 22:20 my Pentecostal friends 22:23 who believe that the elect have raptured home to glory, 22:28 and they don't see the tribulation, 22:30 I don't buy it. 22:33 Because the Bible says 22:35 the elect are on the earth during the great tribulation, 22:40 and after the tribulation Christ comes 22:44 and saves them. 22:47 That's not to offend, my friends, 22:50 but I have to tell you what I believe, 22:53 and I hope we're still friends. 22:56 The coming of Christ is after the tribulation, 22:58 the elect are on the earth. 23:03 Many years ago, 23:05 when I was 19 years of age with my wife Beverley, 23:09 who was then my girlfriend. 23:13 We traveled from Avondale College down 23:15 to Sydney to hear an American preacher 23:20 whose hair was blowing in the wind, 23:22 who had a crowd of 200,000. 23:25 They told him, it could never happen. 23:28 And he had a Bible, 23:29 and he was saying the Bible says, 23:32 the Bible says. 23:34 He preached on the second coming of Christ. 23:38 Then he told the story of Napoleon Bonaparte 23:41 after the Battle of Waterloo. 23:44 After the Battle of Waterloo 23:46 when he was defeated by the British, 23:49 Napoleon with some of his generals 23:51 got a map of Europe, 23:53 and he looked at the map of Europe, 23:55 and he pointed to England which was the one red spot. 23:58 And he said, "But for that one red spot, 24:01 I would have conquered the whole world." 24:04 And Billy Graham went onto say, 24:08 "After Calvary when Satan was defeated at the cross, 24:14 Satan got all the host set of hell. 24:18 And they stood around, and they looked at this world. 24:23 And Satan pointed to Calvary 24:28 and he said, you know it, 24:32 "But for that one red spot, 24:35 I would have conquered the whole world." 24:38 I may not have even decided 24:41 to be a preacher, an evangelist, 24:44 even had not been for the ministry of this man, 24:49 but for that one red spot, 24:53 I would have conquered the whole world. 24:58 I say to you what he said to me in 200,000, 25:03 you and I need to come to Christ. 25:07 And we need to do it with our souls, 25:11 and we need to repent of our sins 25:15 because none of us are going to be saved 25:17 as we hold on to our sins. 25:19 If we come to Christ, and if we repent of our sins, 25:25 and if we are born again, 25:30 the Bible says, 25:32 the Bible says if we do this, 25:36 there is glory ahead for the elect. 25:42 There is glory ahead for those 25:45 who trust in Christ. 25:49 Listen to me. 25:52 The clock is ticking, the churches 25:57 and the politicians seemed to be asleep, 26:00 but God has given us a message. 26:03 And today, we accept that message 26:07 and we accept that Christ, 26:10 and we do so in Jesus' name, 26:14 amen. 26:16 Amen. 26:18 Amen. 26:22 In this series, John Carter will provide the answers 26:25 to life's most interesting questions. 26:27 Seven great signs of the apocalypse. 26:31 If the dead are unconscious, 26:33 who are the beings that pretend to be the dead?
