00:43 Good evening and welcome to 3ABN's Fall Homecoming.
00:46 It is our last evening together
00:48 and I think I'm feeling a little sad about that.
00:51 What a blessing this weekend has been:
00:54 the Word of God being preached! How it has inspired my heart.
00:58 And I'm so grateful that each one of you are here
01:01 and you at home that you've joined us
01:03 for 3ABN Fall Homecoming,
01:05 and it's been an incredible experience.
01:07 Oh absolutely! It's a blessing to meet each one of you.
01:09 And we've heard some great reports already coming in
01:11 from social media about people that unfortunately couldn't
01:14 make it but are still being blessed by watching on 3ABN,
01:17 listening to it on the radio.
01:18 An interesting story: this was yesterday before Sabbath,
01:22 just so you know this, a gentle- man came to me and said: "Hey! "
01:24 I was actually talking to each one of you in the front here
01:26 and there was a gentleman on the phone.
01:28 And he hung up the phone and he said: "Wow!
01:31 I was just talking to Amazon customer service. "
01:33 OK... and they asked him: "How's your day? "
01:36 And he said: "Blessed! I'm here at 3ABN Camp Meeting. "
01:39 And they said: "That's my favorite channel. "
01:44 All right!
01:45 So praise the Lord! Don't give any names, they'd get fired.
01:49 That's why I'm stopping right there.
01:51 But we're glad that each one of you are here this evening.
01:53 We're going to have a great musical hour. You enjoy music,
01:56 right? Amen! Pr. Doug Batchelor of course.
01:59 And we have something exciting to talk about.
02:00 Amen. Earlier this year... Well let me back up.
02:04 2008 Amazing Facts and 3ABN teamed up.
02:07 We've done several things together over the years.
02:09 Revival programs. But we did something I think
02:12 just really made a difference in eternity.
02:14 We taped a program for kids
02:16 in Texas called Amazing Adventures.
02:19 That's right. But this is you know more than ten years ago
02:22 and it was standard definition. And those kids! I have people
02:26 walking up to me now that are 23 years old and they say:
02:29 "We've got kids of our own but we watched, we came to
02:32 the Lord, we got baptized
02:33 after watching the Amazing Adventures. "
02:35 So we really thought we needed to do a new program
02:38 and update it. And so I gave Danny and Greg a call
02:42 and I said: "I know it's not a lot of warning
02:44 but we've got this rare oppor- tunity to do a brand new Amazing
02:48 Adventure program there at the Michigan Camp Meeting.
02:51 We've got 300 young people "captive. "
02:54 Yeah... that's right. And they said: "We're on board. "
02:57 And so we taped a whole new program.
02:59 You've gotta see it. It's an incredible set.
03:01 We've got a ship on board. Some of you may have seen...
03:03 Some of them were on the Internet.
03:05 But they're just... the editing's just being finished.
03:08 They're being released with a brand new set of lessons.
03:11 A Bible called An Adventure Bible for kids
03:14 from 8 to 12 or 13. And we're just so excited about this
03:17 'cause we think... Now it's all high definition.
03:20 For years to come this is going to lead young people
03:22 to Jesus. Amen! We're so privileged to partner
03:25 with Amazing Facts for so many years
03:27 and especially with this new project for young people.
03:30 It's going to launch on 3ABN. We don't have the exact date
03:34 but maybe in the next month or two.
03:36 Yeah, I think just a little more than a month should all be done.
03:38 Um-hmm. This is real exciting. Doug, when did we do our first
03:42 satellite seminar? Was that 1996? 1997?
03:46 Karen knows. Thank you, thank you. I started to say
03:51 somebody's a real avid watcher. That's Karen Batchelor.
03:54 Thank you, Karen.
03:56 Lucky Karen's out there. Yeah... one of his fans.
03:59 I should marry her! Yeah, his fan out there.
04:01 Yeah... yeah, you might want to do that.
04:03 So that's been what? 22 years or something like that?
04:08 Yeah. A long time ago. So we did that
04:10 and then we ended up doing several more.
04:12 Hope for Revival, '05 Revive...
04:15 All I remember we did it from the
04:17 what's now Radio back there, but Boss... we called it Boss
04:20 Auditorium 'cause the ladies who donated the money
04:24 for it their last name was Boss. And we said: "You're the boss
04:26 so we'll do it. " And we built this facility studio.
04:30 We did it and I remember we had something like 5 or 6 thousand
04:34 churches that were watching - home churches - that would...
04:39 had the study guides and all of that.
04:41 I think there were a few thousand people baptized.
04:43 I don't remember the results but it was tremendous.
04:45 So we said: "Let's just keep doing these. "
04:47 So we've done a lot of those seminars together
04:50 over the years. Amen. Yeah.
04:53 And so it's a thrill to continue working together.
04:55 We're so excited about this new children's program
04:57 Amazing Adventures, and we hope that you'll tell your friends
05:01 and enemies and anyone you know that has kids.
05:03 You know, the most... 73, 74%
05:07 of people who accept Christ do it between the ages of
05:11 like 8 and 13. Wow! And so it's such a critical time.
05:14 All I remember at that time I could do backward handsprings
05:18 and Doug could do a backward flip just standing here
05:21 and on stage. Can you still?
05:24 I can do it by faith in my mind.
05:28 I can do a back jump.
05:30 That's why I'm amazed I could do 3 backward handsprings
05:32 to round off and three
05:34 and Doug would just stand and jump up and do a...
05:36 so we had our own little acrobatic team going there.
05:39 But right now I don't even dream about that.
05:42 So I wouldn't want to... it'd be a nightmare.
05:44 But anyway, it's been a lot of years but God has
05:47 blessed on that. Thank you so much for what you
05:50 do and have been doing and Karen for so many years:
05:53 your dedication to the service of the Lord.
05:56 Only eternity will tell. I can tell you
06:00 thousands of people have written to us, e-mailed us,
06:04 people we've met over the years,
06:06 that have said: "I came to the Lord through watching 3ABN,
06:09 through watching Doug Batchelor on 3ABN,
06:12 or watching Amazing Facts on maybe other channels. "
06:15 But all I know is when you get to heaven
06:17 you need eternity. It's going to take you a long time
06:20 for people to keep coming up and saying: "Hey Doug,
06:22 thanks to you I'm here. " So God bless you.
06:25 I'll be thankful to be there -
06:26 praise the Lord - with everyone else.
06:30 Pastor John, do you mind opening in prayer as we start
06:32 our music hour? Sure.
06:34 Loving Father in heaven, this weekend has been
06:37 such a blessing. It's like a fountain that never stops
06:41 flowing, a sun that never stops shining.
06:45 And Lord, once again we submit ourselves
06:47 to You as we walk into Your throne room.
06:49 Under Your invitation we come to worship You.
06:53 To adore. To see that holiness is in fact beautiful.
06:59 We praise You, Father, for who You are.
07:02 We are amazed that, Lord, You can use vessels like us
07:05 to glorify Your name.
07:07 But our courage is in the knowledge that You have not
07:09 finished the work You've started in us yet.
07:12 But we are on that "conveyor belt" of faith;
07:15 we are in the hand of the Potter.
07:17 We thank you, Lord. We submit. Continue molding us
07:20 until one day we fully reflect Your glory.
07:23 But Father, for this evening take our frail offering,
07:26 our music, our songs, our sermons, our messages
07:29 and fill them with Your Spirit
07:31 that they may be a glory and honor to You
07:33 and a blessing to us. We ask in Christ's name, Amen.
07:38 Amen. OK. I'm going to read off the names again
07:41 like I've done the last couple nights
07:43 instead of bringing everybody out and introducing them.
07:46 And we're going to start off with Bro. Tim Parton.
07:48 How many have been blessed by Tim so far?
07:50 Amen. All right. What an incredible, incredible talent.
07:55 I've been around music for many, many years,
07:58 hired many Nashville musicians and pianists
08:01 and studio musicians, and really he's at the top
08:03 of the list. Yvonne likes to put it this way:
08:06 "Tim Parton is in a league by himself. "
08:08 And my dad always said that. He'd say:
08:11 "Son, you are outstanding! " I'd say:
08:13 "Yeah... in a field somewhere. "
08:15 And... But I don't mean that about Tim.
08:17 He's outstanding in the right way.
08:19 I was just kinda out in a field somewhere.
08:21 But Tim's going to be singing for us, and Ryan Day
08:24 is going to be doing a duet with Celestine Dickens.
08:28 And then also Ladye Love Smith is here.
08:31 Isn't that nice? She hasn't been here yet.
08:33 So Reggie couldn't make it. You know, he's doing the Gaither
08:35 thing. He's with the Gaither Vocal Band
08:38 and we're happy for him. They're I think in So. Bend, Indiana,
08:41 tonight. He just called me a little bit ago.
08:43 So Reggie, if the Gaithers are watching, don't copy
08:46 any of our music here tonight, OK?
08:49 I'll be talking to you, Bill. Just kidding... just kidding.
08:53 All right. Ladye Love's here and then Pr. John Lomacang.
08:56 Yvonne, and then we're going to do something totally brand new
08:59 with Tim playing. I got word about 15 minutes before we came
09:03 on the air that Doug Batchelor, John Lomacang, and myself
09:08 were going to be singing a song.
09:10 And so just minutes before you saw us stand around the piano.
09:13 So we're going to see how this turns out.
09:15 This will be interesting.
09:16 And so then, let's see, I think Tim's going to be back.
09:20 And I think that's it for tonight.
09:23 So we want to just pray. John has already prayed,
09:25 but we just, within ourself, as we listen to this music
09:29 we do it for a reason. We're not here entertaining you
09:32 by any means. None of these folks are.
09:34 They could make a living in the world and do whatever they
09:37 wanted to do, many of these folks - these singers -
09:39 but they have dedicated their time, their talents,
09:42 their gifts, their abilities, to the winning of souls
09:45 for the kingdom of God so God uses each of them.
09:47 So while they're singing
09:50 I would like to ask each and every one of you
09:52 to think about your own life and your own relationship
09:55 with the Lord Jesus Christ. And maybe this is the time
09:59 this hour that you say: "Lord, come into my heart. "
10:02 "Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. "
10:04 The song says: "Come in today; come in to stay.
10:06 Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. " So
10:08 it's up to us as to where we go from here.
10:11 We've been filled and overflowing
10:13 and hopefully we will not leave here
10:16 the same as we came but we'll leave here drawn closer
10:19 to the Lord Jesus Christ.
10:21 Tim. Amen, amen.
10:25 For the folks at home you haven't been privileged
10:27 to hear a lot of the before... Beforehand we've been doing
10:33 some congregational "stuff" so we're going to
10:36 invite the congregation to sing along on this first song.
10:40 This is a great song. The melody may be a little bit different
10:42 than what you're used to but the words are the same.
10:45 It says: Jesus, What A Friend For Sinners.
10:48 It goes like this:
10:54 Sing along with me.
11:34 Ah, that sounds wonderful!
12:57 Oh, yeah!
12:59 Let's take it up one more time:
13:44 Amen! Praise the Lord! Wonderful singing.
14:06 Jesus saves!
14:10 He still does.
14:15 He'll make of you someone new...
14:19 cleanse the sin that was.
14:23 The Holy Spirit whispers
14:27 "No more must you be enslaved. "
14:32 Just believe it:
14:36 Jesus saves.
14:41 We talk of heaven's beauty
14:45 and that's good.
14:48 We talk of loving others
14:52 and we should.
14:56 But to a dying world
14:59 the greatest thing that we can say
15:04 is: "Take a look at Calvary...
15:07 Jesus saves. "
15:11 Jesus saves!
15:14 He still does.
15:18 He'll make of you someone new...
15:22 cleanse the sin that was.
15:26 The Holy Spirit whispers
15:29 "No more must you be enslaved. "
15:33 Just believe it:
15:36 Jesus saves.
15:44 We have heard
15:48 the joyful sound:
15:52 Jesus saves!
15:56 Jesus saves!
16:00 Spread the tidings
16:05 all around:
16:08 Jesus saves!
16:12 Jesus saves!
16:20 Jesus saves!
16:24 He still does.
16:27 He'll make of you
16:30 someone new...
16:31 cleanse the sin that was.
16:35 The Holy Spirit whispers:
16:38 "No more must you be enslaved. "
16:41 Just believe it:
16:44 Jesus saves.
16:48 Jesus saves!
16:51 He still does.
16:54 He'll make of you
16:57 someone new...
16:58 cleanse the sin that was.
17:01 The Holy Spirit whispers:
17:04 "No more must you be enslaved. "
17:08 Just believe it:
17:11 Jesus saves.
17:15 The Holy Spirit whispers:
17:18 "No more must you be enslaved. "
17:25 Just believe it...
17:29 just believe it...
17:32 just believe it:
17:35 Jesus
17:37 saves!
18:13 I would love to tell you what
18:17 I think of Jesus
18:21 since I've found in Him a Friend
18:25 so kind and true.
18:29 I would tell you
18:32 how He changed my life completely.
18:37 He did something
18:40 that no other friend
18:43 could do.
18:47 No one ever
18:52 cared for me
18:55 like Jesus.
19:00 There's no other friend
19:05 so kind as He.
19:13 No one else
19:16 could take the sin
19:19 and darkness from me.
19:27 Oh how much
19:30 He cares for me.
19:37 All my life was full
19:42 of sin
19:43 when Jesus found me.
19:49 And all my heart
19:52 was full
19:54 of misery and woe.
20:02 But Jesus placed
20:06 His strong and loving arms
20:09 around me
20:14 and He led me in
20:18 the way I ought to go.
20:25 And every day
20:29 He comes to me
20:31 with new assurance.
20:38 More and more
20:41 I understand
20:44 His words of love.
20:50 But I'll never know
20:54 just why
20:56 He came to save me
21:02 till that day
21:06 I see
21:08 His blessed face above.
21:13 No one
21:16 ever cared for me
21:21 like Jesus.
21:26 There's no other friend
21:31 so kind as He.
21:38 No one else
21:42 could take the sin
21:45 and darkness from me.
21:52 Oh how much
21:55 He cares for me...
22:05 Oh how much
22:07 He cares
22:11 for me...
22:16 for me.
22:26 Amen. No one ever cared for me like Jesus.
22:31 No one cares for us like Jesus.
22:34 Friends will forsake you.
22:37 Husbands will let you down; wives will let you down.
22:40 Because you know why? We're people
22:42 and we're not perfect like Him.
22:44 And He says: "I'll never leave you or forsake you. "
22:47 And if you don't know that Jesus tonight,
22:50 He's calling you. He's calling you softly and tenderly.
22:54 He'll never scream at you.
22:56 He won't push you to do it; He won't drag you to do it.
22:59 He just says: "I love you
23:01 and I'm here when you're ready. "
23:08 Softly and tenderly
23:14 Jesus is calling...
23:20 calling for you
23:24 and for me.
23:30 See on the portals
23:35 He's waiting and watching...
23:40 calling: "O sinner,
23:46 come home. "
23:51 "Come home,
23:56 come home.
24:02 Ye who are weary
24:06 come home. "
24:16 Earnestly,
24:18 tenderly
24:21 Jesus is calling.
24:26 Calling: "O sinner,
24:32 come home. "
24:43 O for the wonderful
24:48 love He has promised.
24:52 Promised for you
24:56 and for me.
25:00 And though we have sinned
25:04 He has mercy and pardon...
25:10 pardon for you
25:14 and for me.
25:19 "Come home,
25:23 come home.
25:30 Ye who are weary
25:34 come home. "
25:43 Earnestly, tenderly
25:48 Jesus is calling.
25:53 Calling: "O sinner... "
26:00 Calling: "O sinner... "
26:05 Calling:
26:08 "O sinner
26:15 come
26:18 home. "
26:30 Jesus,
26:33 Jesus,
26:36 Jesus...
26:40 there's just something
26:43 about
26:45 that name.
26:51 Master,
26:53 Savior,
26:56 Jesus...
27:00 like the fragrance
27:03 after the rain.
27:11 Jesus,
27:13 oh Jesus,
27:16 Jesus...
27:20 let all heaven and earth
27:25 proclaim:
27:31 Kings and kingdoms
27:36 they will all pass away
27:41 but there's something
27:45 about
27:49 that name.
27:55 Sing that with me just really quick.
28:01 Jesus,
28:04 Jesus,
28:07 Jesus...
28:11 there's just something
28:14 about that name.
28:21 Master,
28:24 Savior,
28:26 Jesus...
28:30 like the fragrance
28:34 after the rain.
28:40 Jesus,
28:43 oh Jesus,
28:45 Jesus...
28:50 let all heaven
28:52 proclaim:
29:00 kings and kingdoms
29:05 will all pass away
29:10 but there's something
29:14 about
29:17 that name.
29:46 In the harvest field now ripened
29:53 there's a work
29:56 for all to do.
30:00 Hark! The voice
30:04 of Jesus calling...
30:07 to the harvest
30:12 calling you.
30:15 Little is much
30:19 when God is in it!
30:22 Labor not for wealth
30:27 or fame.
30:29 There's a crown
30:33 and you can win it
30:37 if you go
30:40 in Jesus' name.
30:46 When the conflict
30:50 here has ended
30:53 and our work
30:56 on earth is through
31:00 He will say
31:03 if we are faithful:
31:07 "Welcome home
31:10 My child,
31:15 well done! "
31:21 Little is much
31:24 when God is in it!
31:28 Labor not
31:31 for wealth or fame.
31:35 There's a crown
31:37 and we can win it
31:41 if we go
31:44 in Jesus' name. Yes,
31:47 little is much
31:50 when God is in it!
31:54 Labor not
31:57 for wealth or fame.
32:01 There's a crown
32:04 and we can win it
32:08 if we go
32:12 in
32:14 Jesus'
32:21 name.
32:28 Amen!
32:50 Holy, holy God Almighty:
32:55 spotless Lamb for sinners slain.
33:00 Worthy, worthy... Thou art worthy
33:05 Lord we praise Your holy name.
33:09 We adore You;
33:11 bow before You;
33:14 let all of heav'n and earth proclaim:
33:18 You alone deserve the glory
33:24 Lord we praise Your holy name.
33:32 Lord, we praise Your name;
33:36 Lord, we praise Your name;
33:41 Lord, we praise Your name:
33:45 God Almighty!
33:51 Holy is Your name;
33:56 righteous is Your name;
34:00 name above all names:
34:04 God Almighty!
34:13 Holy, holy God Almighty
34:17 spotless Lamb for sinners slain.
34:24 Worthy, worthy... Thou art worthy
34:30 Lord we praise Your holy name.
34:34 We adore You;
34:37 bow before You;
34:39 let all of heav'n and earth proclaim:
34:43 You alone deserve the glory
34:48 Lord we praise Your holy name.
34:55 Lord, we praise Your name;
35:00 Lord, we praise Your name;
35:05 Lord, we praise Your name:
35:09 God Almighty!
35:15 Holy is Your name;
35:20 righteous is Your name;
35:24 name above all names:
35:28 God Almighty!
35:36 Jesus, there is none above You;
35:41 we exalt Your majesty.
35:46 In Your name we find salvation
35:51 Speak your name and demons flee;
35:56 Devil and the grave defeated
36:00 Raise the scepter high
36:03 You read...
36:05 Mighty King of kings forever
36:10 Lord, we praise Your holy name.
36:18 Blessing and honor,
36:21 glory and power
36:23 be unto Thee who sits upon the throne forever!
36:28 Blessing and honor,
36:30 glory and power,
36:33 be unto Thee who sits upon the throne forever!
36:38 Blessing and honor,
36:43 glory and power forever.
36:48 Blessing and honor,
36:50 glory and power
36:52 be unto Him who sits upon the throne forever
36:58 and ever!
37:00 We adore You!
37:05 Let all heav'n and earth proclaim:
37:15 Lord, we praise Your holy name!
37:21 Amen.
37:24 Amen.
37:29 Amen.
37:34 Amen.
37:39 Amen!
37:45 Amen!
37:49 AMEN!
37:57 Amen! Whoo!
37:59 We probably should just shut the doors and go home after that!
38:02 Wow! How do you keep going from that for sure?
38:08 Well, it's a privilege to be here with Doug.
38:10 Now John and Doug and I have never sung together, have we?
38:12 As a trio? No, I think it'd be on YouTube
38:16 if we had by now.
38:20 Yeah, I don't know if that's good or bad. Right? Could be...
38:24 You know, there's about 180 years of experience
38:27 up here so it should be good.
38:30 And if you add Tim that's 280 years.
38:35 I'm just kidding.
38:36 You don't have a bus, do you Doug?
38:39 Do you have a bus or something?
38:41 I'll need something faster to get away!
38:43 I was thinking, you know, if we're going to make this work
38:45 as like a trio or something, you know...
38:48 or a quartet with Tim...
38:49 I like to go in style.
38:51 I don't want to be in a Volkswagen. I want to drive with
38:53 you. You know, when Doug and I were on the road
38:56 we roomed together, we had a lot of fun together
38:58 in evangelism. One of the best times of our lives -
39:01 of my life I should say.
39:03 And I didn't know until a year after... I just need to say this
39:06 Doug... I didn't know until a year after I was in evangelism
39:10 in California I wondered 'cause he said someone
39:13 made it possible for you to come to California
39:17 and get an opportunity to do evangelism.
39:19 I didn't know. Doug never told me until one day
39:21 we were swimming in his pond in Covelo
39:23 and I said... Don't misunderstand that.
39:29 No, we were swimming in his pond
39:32 in Covelo, and he got sick and tired of me telling this story.
39:38 I kept trying to figure out who put this money up
39:40 for me to get a chance in ministry.
39:42 And Doug said to me: "John, I am so tired of that
39:46 story you keep telling about some lady that put this money
39:50 up. " I said: "Why does that bother you? "
39:52 He said: "Because it was me. "
39:56 And you know what? I cannot thank you enough
40:01 for believing that in this New Yorker - we met in
40:05 Heritage Singers. I was the only one crazy enough to fly
40:08 in a plane with Doug. And here we are years later
40:11 still flying by the grace of God. So, you know,
40:14 this song is a summary of our lives
40:19 and I'll let the song speak for itself.
40:32 I will serve Thee
40:38 because I love Thee.
40:45 You have given life
40:51 to me.
40:57 I was nothing
41:03 before You found me...
41:10 You have given life
41:16 to me.
41:24 Heartaches,
41:29 broken pieces,
41:36 ruined lives
41:40 are why
41:43 You died
41:46 on Calvary.
41:51 Your touch
41:55 is what I longed for.
42:02 You have given
42:07 life to me. Sing with us:
42:12 Heartaches, broken pieces...
42:16 Heartaches,
42:22 broken pieces,
42:28 ruined lives
42:32 are why You
42:36 died on Calvary.
42:43 Your touch
42:47 is what I longed for.
42:54 You have given
42:59 life to me.
43:07 You have
43:09 given life
43:14 to me.
43:22 Amen! Thank you, Doug, good job. All right!
43:27 Doesn't that bother you when there's some people
43:29 who can do everything right? You know?
43:32 Doug Batchelor... there's not much he can't do.
43:35 The guy's an incredible person.
43:37 Tremendous gifts and tremendous talents.
43:40 And are we so thankful that he's chosen to be on the side -
43:44 he and Karen and their family - on the side of God.
43:46 Amen! Because that kind of tool in the devil's hand
43:49 could do a lot of harm. But praise the Lord
43:52 the Holy Spirit reached him in a cave.
43:56 And so some of us aren't in caves, but the Holy Spirit
43:59 hasn't reached us as well yet and we want to make
44:01 that opportunity. And this Camp Meeting...
44:03 All joking aside, this Camp Meeting, this is the time
44:06 that each of us have an opportunity
44:09 to re-dedicate our life to the Lord.
44:11 Amen! We can't go back to business as usual.
44:14 Amen! It's too late in earth's history to go back
44:17 to business as usual. We can't go back home
44:19 and just sit on our laurels. Is that OK to say: laurels?
44:23 Sit... You know where: on your behind.
44:25 We can't just go sit and do nothing
44:28 and expect to look up and when Jesus comes
44:31 and: "Oh, Lord, here I am. "
44:33 We're accountable. To whom much is given, much is required.
44:37 Are you with me? To whom much is given
44:39 much is required. When you have the knowledge
44:42 that we've been blessed to have and we have an aide
44:45 that's helped us and a lot of understanding through
44:47 the Spirit of Prophecy and every so-called edge to understand
44:52 where we are, we can't just be shutting our eyes
44:55 and just going on.
44:56 So remember, because God... When Jesus was hanging on
44:59 the cross as we always say you were on His mind.
45:03 Seriously! Can you imagine the value...
45:05 Denny, can you imagine your value that when Jesus was
45:08 on the cross He had you in mind?
45:11 I mean, that's amazing.
45:13 Why? Because He knew you would be alive in the closing moments
45:16 of earth's history. Each and every one of us.
45:19 He knew we'd be alive and we'd be willing to
45:21 give our lives to death if necessary for the cause of God.
45:26 But it's up to us to do that.
45:28 We have to constantly come to Jesus:
45:30 "Lord, save me. I'm a sinner. "
45:33 "Lord, save me. " We cannot be qualified...
45:35 consider ourselves qualified. Greg still... ever since
45:39 this afternoon every time we cross paths
45:41 "Brother Danny... " He always calls me Mr. Danny.
45:43 "Mr. Danny... " That makes me feel old.
45:45 But I like it... it's respect.
45:47 He says: "Mr. Danny, I don't feel qualified. "
45:49 I said: "Praise the Lord, Greg. "
45:51 "Praise the Lord because now God will qualify you. " Amen!
45:55 And He already has. He saw Greg and Jill
45:57 from... literally from the foundation of the world.
46:01 What an opportunity to support what they're doing.
46:05 We talked this morning about 3ABN and our finances.
46:09 We don't talk about it very much but Ellen White says we can
46:11 make our needs known, so some of you didn't get a chance,
46:14 you didn't put something in the offering or maybe today
46:16 the Holy Spirit's impressing, so later this evening
46:19 the program's over you see myself or Greg, Jill, Yvonne,
46:23 somebody... Pastor John
46:25 and you want to write a check just make it to 3ABN.
46:28 We believe God is going to allow us to end this year
46:33 financially in the black, right?
46:35 We believe it. Now somebody said "Amen. "
46:38 If you did, I'm going to look back over the cameras
46:40 and I'm going to have them play the re-run back. Say "OK,
46:43 now he said/she said 'Amen. ' That means you're going to
46:46 help. " All right? So no, no... but
46:49 I'm saying we believe that God is going to support His ministry
46:53 no matter what is out there. No matter what people...
46:56 what the devil is trying to do
46:59 we don't worry about the devil.
47:00 We serve the God of the universe: the Creator God
47:03 of the universe. And in your own life
47:05 it's time that each of us understand. There is no problem
47:09 as we mentioned today so big that God can't solve it
47:12 and no problem so small that He won't bend an ear.
47:16 So we are... it's an incredible oppor... It's mind boggling
47:20 "Eye hath not seen nor ear heard
47:22 neither has it entered into the heart of man
47:25 the things that God has prepared for those who love Him. "
47:28 And are willing to be part of the "GO! movement. "
47:31 "Go ye movement. " "Go ye into all the world. "
47:34 So today it's my hope and prayer that each and every
47:36 one of us will leave this place "on fire for Jesus"
47:40 if we can use that term.
47:42 That we're going to go home and wherever we live,
47:44 whatever church you're from,
47:46 they're going to say: "Man... you've changed. "
47:48 "Wow! You've changed. " You're going to bring
47:51 something back to your church that says
47:54 less "What about revival and reformation? "
47:57 "Let's concentrate on evangelism. "
47:59 Evangelism; evangelism.
48:01 And let God do the rest.
48:03 He will supply all the needs. I've never been more encouraged
48:07 than I have in my life, and I say that almost every year.
48:10 You know why? Because every year it just keeps gettin' better.
48:13 Now does that mean there's no hassles and no all kinds of
48:16 stuff and junk going on? No.
48:18 But it just means we're one step closer to Jesus' coming.
48:21 And I'm so thankful to be involved, and thank each
48:24 and every one of you here and those of you at home
48:26 for your love, for your prayers,
48:29 and your financial support of 3ABN.
48:33 Tim. I like that line you said
48:38 "When He was on the cross He saw us. "
48:42 And I remember the day mercy saved me.
48:47 Trembling I knelt down and prayed.
48:51 There at the cross love forgave me
48:56 exchanging my sin for His grace.
49:00 I will never forget
49:03 the burden He lifted
49:06 and the peace that flooded my soul.
49:10 I will cherish the cross.
49:12 So precious to me:
49:15 the place of my pardon where I was redeemed.
49:20 No more a sinner,
49:23 I'm a child of God.
49:25 I'm free and forgiven...
49:29 and that's why I cherish the cross.
49:42 Wherever this journey may lead me,
49:47 whatever road I may walk
49:52 my heart will always be clinging
49:57 to the treasure I have in this cross.
50:01 I know it is foolish
50:03 to those who don't choose to believe
50:06 but to me it's the power of God.
50:10 I will cherish the cross.
50:13 So precious to me:
50:16 the place of my pardon where I was redeemed.
50:21 No more a sinner,
50:23 I'm a child of God.
50:26 I'm free and forgiven...
50:29 and that's why I cherish the cross.
50:36 I will cherish the cross
50:38 till my trophies at last I lay down.
50:44 Oh, I will cherish the cross
50:47 and I'll trade it some day for a crown!
50:53 I'm gonna cherish the cross.
50:56 So precious to me:
50:58 the place of my pardon where I was redeemed.
51:03 No more a sinner, I'm a child of God.
51:08 I'm free and forgiven...
51:11 and that's why I cherish the cross.
51:27 Amen.
51:28 Amen. Thank you, Tim.
51:34 We see 3ABN as a lifeline.
51:38 A lifeline to many souls.
51:41 You remember the Paradise fires what? About a year ago?
51:44 Terrible tragedy, right?
51:46 People lost their lives, natural disaster. Recently
51:49 we're thinking of the hurricane, right? that hit the Bahamas.
51:51 Terrible. There was a father that heard this story.
51:54 You may have heard it as well. Father... he was blind.
51:58 Storm rolling in. Cerebral palsy son couldn't walk.
52:04 Father's blind; son can't walk.
52:07 The water's rising in his house.
52:10 Didn't have a way out. Couldn't see; son can't walk.
52:13 The neighbor next door comes running over to the house
52:16 and says: "Let me lead you out. "
52:19 So the father who is blind put the son on his shoulder.
52:22 Cerebral palsy; can't walk.
52:23 And the neighbor led them out. Lifeline, right?
52:27 Jill and I were at a rally in Minnesota
52:30 earlier this year. A man named Bill
52:34 we met there. I'm sure many of you can relate to this.
52:38 And he was down and out.
52:40 Life was just terrible for him.
52:43 He stumbled across 3ABN.
52:46 Didn't stumble across it, right? It was divine providence
52:49 for him to come across 3ABN.
52:51 He went into the local bookstore 'cause he was interested in
52:54 religion. 3ABN had kind of peaked that for him.
52:57 He went to the bookstore and he was perusing the books.
52:59 And he saw a book on the shelf that said The Great Controversy.
53:03 Wow! That looks interesting.
53:05 So he picked up The Great Controversy.
53:07 Went to the checkout; handed it to the person.
53:10 They tried to scan it. Beep, beep. "I don't know,
53:12 sir. This book isn't even registered in our system. "
53:16 I'm not encouraging you to take books and drop them off
53:18 in the local bookstore like this. Somebody did that.
53:21 Anyway, he took The Great Controversy.
53:24 Took it home and it changed his life
53:27 along with 3ABN.
53:29 He didn't have good credit, so he borrowed his friend's
53:32 credit card. And his friend said: "What are you going to use
53:35 my credit card for? " And he said: "I'm going to buy
53:37 more Great Controversy books. "
53:39 "OK... what book is that? "
53:41 "Well let me buy one for you, too. "
53:42 "OK. " These two men are active SDA members
53:47 in the Minnesota church that Jill and I were at,
53:49 and that's thanks to 3ABN.
53:50 It is a lifeline. Praise the Lord!
53:53 What an incredible blessing to know that God is using
53:56 each one of you - that's right - to partner with 3ABN
53:59 in helping to spread the gospel to the world.
54:01 I love II Corinthians 5:17.
54:03 The Word of God says: "If anyone is in Christ,
54:06 he or she is a new creation.
54:10 Old things have passed away;
54:12 behold all things have become new. "
54:17 It's incredible to me how God can transform us.
54:21 That metamorphosis process from the caterpillar
54:25 as it were to the butterfly.
54:28 In Romans 12 it talks about how we are transformed
54:31 by the renewing of our mind. And in Greek it talks about
54:35 that metamorphosis process. Greg and I live in the country.
54:39 I used to be a city girl.
54:40 I grew up in Massachusetts, and when I married Greg
54:43 I moved here 17 years ago.
54:45 It's country here. Would you all agree?
54:47 There's not a lot of people here, and I always
54:50 say: "There's 600 people including
54:53 cows... " Right? "in Thompsonville. "
54:56 There's hardly anybody here. So we live outside of Thompsonville
54:59 on a little gravel road. And it is so infrequently
55:02 traveled that when someone drives by our house
55:05 I used to run to the window and see who it was
55:08 because it happens like once every 6 hours.
55:11 Really, there's no traffic on our road.
55:13 And so Greg said: "Jilly, " he said, "come
55:16 out front and you've gotta see this. "
55:17 So I looked, and we have a front porch
55:19 and underneath the railing you could see there was
55:22 a caterpillar, and he was just spinning his cocoon.
55:26 His chrysalis. And it was hanging right underneath
55:29 that. And we would check it every day.
55:32 Still there. Next day: still there.
55:35 Next day: still there.
55:37 And then on Sabbath... There has to be a spiritual
55:41 application to that... It was the Sabbath
55:44 when Greg said... We're eating breakfast. "Aah!
55:46 Jilly, the butterfly's coming out! "
55:48 So I ran out and I peeked and here it comes. One wing...
55:52 Have you ever seen a butterfly come out?
55:53 Other wing. That's awesome. And then we just watched it.
55:56 And then it flew off and it was gone.
55:58 And it reminded me
56:00 of what the Lord Jesus wants to do in your heart
56:04 and in mine. We're in the mud; we're crawling
56:07 in that junk - in that sin - and He says:
56:10 "I can change you. I can transform you
56:13 by the power of My Spirit. Will you let Me do that? "
56:17 And that's what the ministry of 3ABN is all about:
56:20 preaching the gospel so that people can be transformed
56:23 by the power of Jesus Christ.
56:26 Yeah, absolutely. Again, it seems like we thank you
56:29 every day, right? For your prayers and financial support
56:31 for the ministry of 3ABN. But it means so very much
56:33 to us. You know, when you look out at the camera lens
56:36 like we're doing here this evening you have someone
56:38 that actually sent something down if you want to read that
56:40 quickly. It was really cute.
56:42 We had asked the question earlier here live to the
56:44 audience. You guys responded but this person...
56:46 This is on YouTube. This is from Merrilee.
56:49 She says... let me find it:
56:52 Blessed and beautiful Camp Meet- ing! When the question was asked
56:54 this was Thursday night "Who's watching on YouTube? "
56:57 "you all weren't looking at home; my hand was up. "
57:00 Yeah, so we want to... So Merrilee,
57:03 this shout out is for you:
57:05 thank you for watching and our hands are up back to you.
57:09 You are part of the 3ABN family
57:11 and we're so glad for that.
57:13 We want to make sure you stay with us for the next hour.
57:16 We're going to hear our final presentation
57:19 from Pastor Doug Batchelor.
57:21 I am looking forward to what the Lord Jesus is going to do
57:25 in and through him. So praise the Lord for that.
57:28 Praise the Lord for him being consistent,
57:30 a student of the Word.
