00:24 Welcome to the Heavens Declare. I'm Jim Burr and today we're
00:29 going to share the power of the atom. The power in the atom
00:34 beyond anything you can comprehend, anything you can
00:37 imagine, I'll tell you. By the word of the Lord were the
00:40 heavens made. Jesus said all power is given me in heaven and
00:45 earth. You know, we have nuclear reactors where we have the
00:49 fission process where we split the atom. But the sun fuses the
00:53 atom. The difference splitting the atom and fusing the atom is
00:58 17 times. There is 17 time more power in the nuclear reaction of
01:04 fusing the atoms than splitting the atom. The problem with
01:08 fusing is it's dangerous. Uranium is dangerous to handle.
01:12 Uranium is dangerous, you could have a melt-down the rods are
01:16 dangerous to dispose of. But with the nuclear reactor with
01:21 the splitting of the atom, we can actually control that. The
01:25 problem with the hydrogen fusing, it is so powerful we
01:31 can't control it. It's great for making bombs if you want to blow
01:36 things up, but to try to run our planet... We've got some 50-yr
01:40 projects. They tell us we've been working on this for decades
01:44 to try to harness the sun, to try to create a sun on earth.
01:49 They tell us it may be another 30 years or 50 years, before
01:53 they can throw the switch to harness what happens on the sun.
01:57 Because it is so incredibly powerful, the fusing of the
02:00 atoms. And how this sun can crank out energy for billions of
02:03 years; they tell us it's good for another five billion years.
02:06 It's just amazing how those hydrogen atoms fuse together
02:10 from helium. Helium's heavier and it sinks and sets up
02:14 rotation in the sun. But to illustrate the power in the atom
02:19 God put that, I believe God spoke that. In a penny, those
02:24 atoms are bound together so tight in there. If you could
02:28 totally release the energy in one little penny it would be
02:33 equivalent to the chemical energy of 2.2 million gallons of
02:37 gasoline, in a penny, there's just unbelievable power. In a
02:42 paper clip, they say if you could totally release the
02:45 energies of the atoms, the binding energy, actually they
02:49 call it the binding energy, this would be equal to 18,000 tons
02:57 of TNT. Eighteen thousand tons, folks the power of the atom. So
03:01 we're looking at the sun, we're looking at our planet, saying we
03:05 need energy, we need energy, you know. If we could just
03:08 harness the sun, if we could just figure out how to harness
03:11 the sun it would solve our energy problems. Lawrence
03:15 Livermore National Laboratory has been working on this
03:19 project. Well actually they've been working on it in France. We
03:23 have a Tokamak in France. But first I'm getting ahead of
03:27 myself. To run San Francisco for one year, the city of San
03:31 Francisco one year on the energy it needs say 21 million box cars
03:37 of coal, 21 million box cars of coal. If we could harness the
03:43 sun, we could release the power that's fusing the atoms together
03:48 San Francisco could run on 500 gallons of sea water for a year.
03:53 Five hundred gallons of sea water would replace 21 million
03:58 box cars of coal. So you see why we're desperately looking at a
04:03 way to do this. Now the formula that we're all familiar with is
04:08 E- energy equal mass times the speed of light squared. So what
04:13 that tells us is a very small amount of matter can create a
04:17 tremendous amount of energy. To help us understand that a little
04:22 bit let me put it this way. E=MC2 tells us that matter can
04:27 be turned into energy and when it does the energy gets
04:33 multiplied by the speed of light squared which is 56 billion
04:40 miles per second, that formula. It's the equivalent of mass and
04:45 energy. This is matter and I sense that all matter is a form
04:50 of energy. If you could covert matter into energy you could
04:53 also convert energy into matter and they're doing that in
04:59 Switzerland at the Hadron Collider. Psalm 33 verse 6 is
05:05 the theory of relativity. They have proven that the Bible says
05:12 by the word of the Lord. The word is power isn't it. God can
05:17 speak, light coming out of his mouth at 186,000 miles a second.
05:21 God could speak, the energy, the power in his voice could call
05:26 atoms into existence. When we go to Hadron collider they take
05:31 like a million dollars' worth of electricity every day, they burn
05:36 that much electricity to slam these protons together at the
05:40 speed of light and they actually produce more particles. They
05:43 actually produce matter, they did creation. Hadron collider is
05:47 doing creation actually with enough energy. So we see the
05:51 power of God, this incredible power, that could call the
05:54 universe into existence. To me it's just amazing, incredible,
05:58 incredible to think that in a paper clip would be enough
06:05 energy equivalent to 18,000 tons of TNT. So it's exciting to see
06:10 the word of the Lord were the heavens made, it's exciting to
06:15 see that I believe the Hadron collider proves that scripture,
06:19 by the word of the Lord. Jesus says all power is given to me in
06:23 heaven and earth. So whenever you convert a piece of matter
06:28 to pure energy, the resulting energy defined by moving it at
06:32 the speed of light. So that's the definition for converting
06:36 matter into energy, squared, OK, the speed of light squared.
06:41 The speed of light squared is the conversion factor that
06:46 decides just how much energy lies within a chunk of matter.
06:50 OK, the speed of light squared, the speed of light times itself
06:54 is the conversion factor that decides just how much energy
06:59 lies within
07:00 a chunk of matter. Because the speed of light is squared it's a
07:05 huge number, 56 billion miles per second. The energy bound up
07:10 in even the smallest mass is truly mind boggling. If you
07:15 could turn every one of the atoms in a paper clip to pure
07:19 energy it's 18 kilotons of TNT. That's power folks. Do you think
07:25 your problems are too big for the Lord. Oh the depths of
07:31 wisdom, oh the depths of riches both of wisdom and knowledge of
07:36 God. How unsearchable are his judgments and his ways past
07:41 finding out. I found an interesting statement... You
07:47 think that's power, 18 kilotons of TNT, 2.2 million gallons of
07:55 gasoline. Guess what we're told in the book Steps to Christ:
08:01 Satan knows better than God's people the power they can have
08:06 over him when their strength is in Christ. You see, God's people
08:11 we don't know the power that we can have over Satan when our
08:17 strength is in Christ. You, my friend, humbly entreat the
08:22 mighty conqueror for help. Put your name there, put your name
08:27 there. You can humbly entreat the mighty Conqueror for help.
08:32 The weakest believer in truth relying firmly upon Christ can
08:37 successfully repel Satan and all his hosts. That comes from
08:42 first Testimonies 341. And Jesus said, Ye shall see the son of
08:47 man sitting on the right hand of power and coming in the clouds
08:51 of heaven. The right hand of power, yes. We're talking about
08:58 power today. We could solve the energy problems, if we could
09:04 harness the sun. So we have desperate attempts to do that.
09:09 The sun gives out this tremendous amount of
09:11 energy. Actually, we're 93 million miles from the sun.
09:16 We're way out here, this tiny little planet, way out here and
09:19 the amount of energy that we actually get; the sun radiates
09:23 in every direction. Where does that go. Well the earth gets
09:27 about one-half of one 10 millionth of the energy of the
09:33 sun, about one half of one ten millionth. That's about
09:42 eight zeros, OK. If we fuse the atoms in deuterium, heavy
09:48 hydrogen, sea water, we could solve our energy problems.
09:54 France has been really, really big in energy, nuclear reactors
10:06 and we have the Tokamak. That's an acronym actually for
10:12 toroidal magnetic device. This thing is huge. If you look
10:16 carefully you can see a little man standing down there on the
10:20 left part. This thing is being built; 35 nations are working
10:24 together to build this in France and the idea is their hoping
10:29 that it will solve the energy problems. The problem is how do
10:33 you hold hydrogen at a 100 million degrees or 150, 200
10:37 million degrees. How do you hold it? Well the concept here is you
10:41 create a magnetic field which focuses the hydrogen away from
10:45 the wall. It would melt every thing we know of, I mean,
10:49 everything gets melted at that temperature. But by creating
10:55 this big intensive magnet donut it can actually keep the
10:59 hydrogen away from the walls and melting the reactor down.
11:03 What they're trying to do is to slam these atoms together.
11:08 Now the world record for fusion is held by the European Tokamak
11:17 jet and it produced 16 million watts of fusion power, but it
11:24 took 24 million to get the job done. So it's not profitable
11:30 yet. The new one in France is called inter-ITER and it's
11:36 designed to produce 10-fold return on energy. They expect
11:41 that it will be 500 megawatts of fusion power from 50 megawatts
11:49 of input. So they're hoping to have a 10-fold increase but they
11:56 think that it may take 30 years before they can throw the switch
12:02 So here's man's attempt to create a sun on earth. We have
12:07 100 billion suns in our Milky Way galaxy. Lawrence Livermore
12:13 National Laboratories is also designing a concept to create
12:19 fusion energy and here coming up you see the facility at
12:25 Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Now this is 20
12:30 billion dollars that were spent on this facility, 20 billion, OK
12:35 Their concept is a little bit different than the one that
12:41 happens in the Tokamak in France We have over 160 institutes
12:47 around the world that have used the Tokamak. You know, Princeton
12:52 had one but they were not able to produce enough energy to run
12:56 your hair dryer with. It was not profitable. But the new concept
13:02 at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is to take 192 Lasers
13:08 amplified one quadrillion times. So they take each laser, 192
13:13 lasers going through these tubes and the tubes actually will
13:18 amplify the lasers. Here you see the tubes, a mile long. So each
13:22 laser goes through a tube a mile long and it amplifies it one
13:27 quadrillion times. Then they focus it on a little capsule.
13:32 Well first of all we have a picture of the facility. Now
13:37 they don't want to melt California off the map so here's
13:42 the lasers being focused at capsule. This actually has a
13:48 little capsule of deuterium. Here's the actual facility. We
13:54 see a lot of steel and cement and their trying to prevent
13:59 melting California off the map with that so they've got to
14:04 contain this in this event. They're going to focus 192
14:09 lasers on the capsule that you see there in the lower right
14:13 hand corner. Here's the deuterium, a little capsule that
14:16 they're going to use to fire the 192 lasers and coming up is the
14:21 actual capsule; here's an actual capsule, ceramic capsule, where
14:25 the little bead goes in there. So 192 lasers are going to focus
14:33 on that. These lasers have been heated. Actually they're 20
14:39 trillionths of a second. They can only fire them for 20
14:43 trillionths of a second, but they've been amplified 110
14:48 quadrillion times. So I mean, it's unbelievable what they do.
14:52 So they fire that into that little capsule, OK, but they can
14:55 only leave it on for 20 trillionths of a second.
14:59 They fire 192 lasers into that capsule of heavy hydrogen, they
15:03 can only leave it on for 20 trillionths of a second because
15:07 they don't want to melt California off the map. It's
15:10 incredible power in the atom. Now they have to wait eight
15:14 hours for it to cool off. So they fire the lasers, they wait
15:17 eight hours, they can fire it three times a day. They have to
15:20 wait eight hours to cool it down but to understand this another
15:25 way, if it's 20 trillionths of a second, it means they would
15:29 have to fire this laser 20 trillion times to accumulate one
15:36 second of on time. You get the picture. So in February 2014
15:43 they actually proved the sun works. At that little capsule
15:49 that little focus point they put in 10,000 joules of energy
15:57 and they got 17,000 joules out. Well, how many joules did it
16:03 take to amplify it. Now I can't tell you how many watts this is
16:10 because joules are a factor of time so it's like one amp for
16:16 one second. So we'd have to figure the time into this
16:20 mathematically and tell you how many joules. But they put in
16:24 10,000 in a little focus capsule point, 10,000 joules, they got
16:28 out 17,000. So they proved they could actually create fusion
16:33 although it took 500 trillion joules to run that facility that
16:38 you saw. Now here's a match. If this is heated to the
16:41 temperature of the core, this building, bricks and drapery and
16:43 steel would be vapor. It would be a hole in the ground if we
16:46 could heat this to the temperature of the core of the
16:49 sun. This would burn you at 100 miles, a match heated to the
16:54 temperature of the core of the sun, at 100 miles would scorch
17:00 you. Then in February of 2014, it was world headlines, Wall
17:05 Street Journal, a huge break through, world headlines, a huge
17:09 breakthrough. We actually accomplished something here and
17:13 we've created 10,000 joules. It said in the Wall Street Journal:
17:18 A star is born. U.S. scores a fusion power breakthrough.
17:22 News flash, here's the Wall Street Journal, went around
17:25 the world. OK. So we put in 10,000 joules, we got 17,000 out
17:33 Now we have spent 20 billion dollars on this facility, we
17:40 have 2,000 scientists, to create this. How would you feel if you
17:48 spent your lifetime trying to create a sun and the biggest
17:51 sun you could create was no bigger than the head of a match.
17:58 OK. $20 billion and that is all we have accomplished. You look
18:04 at the sun in the sky. Is that sun glorious? That sun's big,
18:10 that sun's hot, that sun's glorious, the stars all
18:14 disappear when the sun comes out That's glorious. You know what
18:18 God says, I am the Lord, that is my name, I will not share my
18:22 glory with anyone else. Folks this is the glory of man, this
18:28 is the glory of 20 billion dollars, 2,000 scientists. This
18:32 is what we've been able to achieve. This is the glory of
18:35 man. God says, I am the Lord, that is my name, I will not
18:39 share my glory with anyone else. I guess we could say that the
18:44 Bible says by wisdom the Lord made the heavens for his mercy
18:49 endures forever. Psalm 136:5. By wisdom - You think there's a
18:53 lot of wisdom in those 2,000 scientists, a lot of education
18:57 in those 2,000 scientists, mathematicians, chemists,
19:04 physicists. By wisdom the Lord made the heavens. For his mercy
19:07 endures forever. And we could say by wisdom and $20 billion
19:12 and 2,000 scientists they made a sun the size of the head of a
19:19 match. OK. So what's interesting is that these scientists are not
19:24 Christians, they don't believe in God. You know what they would
19:27 have to say? You know here we spent our life trying to create
19:31 a sun on earth, this is all we can do, the head of a match, but
19:35 they say you know everything was just right and the sun just
19:38 happened, the sun just happened, it was all just right, it just
19:42 happens. Oh we have 100 billion or 200 billion in the Milky Way
19:47 galaxy, 100, 200 billion times everything. Right. The stars
19:52 just happened. And we have 100 billion galaxies or 200 billion
19:57 galaxies in each galaxy with 100 billion stars. Multiply 100
20:02 billion times 100 billion. Right It just happened. But this is
20:07 all we can do with our smarts, our intelligence. This is all
20:11 man can do toward creating a sun on earth, a teeny little capsule
20:15 the size of the head of a match for 20 trillionths of a second.
20:21 I am the Lord, that is my name. I will not share my glory with
20:25 anyone else. So that's not the end of the story folks, that's
20:29 the end of the story because evolution, the big bang theory,
20:35 says... Put the big bang over here and put the sun over here
20:40 OK. In the big bang, we're pretty sure that was created
20:44 hydrogen, helium, deuterium, triennium and trace amounts of
20:49 beryllium. So we have our theory what happened in the big, but
20:53 they look at the sun and they go like it doesn't match our theory
20:58 of the big bang. We don't see that. So how do you explain that
21:04 Well we've got to invent some more magic. They say well you
21:09 know when you look at the sun we don't see heavier elements.
21:14 I mean the sun can't use anything heavier than iron. So
21:17 the heavier elements we don't see in the sun. But we've talked
21:21 about these exploding stars. We pretty much know that these big
21:25 giant stars like Betelgeuse. Betelgeuse may have already
21:28 exploded. Betelgeuse in Orion, it's like a billion miles in
21:31 diameter. These big stars seem to burn up their fuel, expand,
21:35 and they get bigger and bigger like a balloon and we have an
21:38 explosion. They pop and then this gas just goes shooting out.
21:42 They're very, very bright, sometimes they can be seen in
21:43 the daytime. In that process, even though we haven't seen one
21:48 explode in the Milky Way galaxy, since the invention of the
21:52 telescope for 400 years, we see it in other areas other galaxies
21:57 They can analyze the elements present in star light. You pass
22:03 it through a prism, a spectrometer, you use the
22:07 absorbtional eyes, and you can tell what elements are present
22:12 in every star. So they say when we look at our sun we don't see
22:18 the heavier elements. They theorize what was made in the
22:22 big bang and it doesn't match so they say what happens in the
22:27 exploding stars, the supernova eruptions, we create heavier
22:32 elements than iron. So read the books, read the books. Here's
22:37 what it says in the books. Our sun? Everything was just right?
22:44 It just happened? Here's what it says in the books. Our sun was
22:50 kick started, we had to kick start the sun with more than one
22:56 exploding supernova star to give our sun the heavier elements
23:00 because we say this is made in the big bang, we don't see the
23:04 elements in our sun, so we had to kick start it with more than
23:08 one, multiple, exploding stars to contribute the heavier
23:12 elements that we see in the sun. Well I've already told you, you
23:18 know, before we talked about the fact that these heavier elements
23:23 are produced in the supernova eruptions and it doesn't match.
23:29 So evolution's got a real problem you know. Twenty billion
23:34 stars just happened, just happened, everything was just
23:37 right, it just happened. You know I believe the Bible.
23:41 It says by the word of the Lord were the heavens made. By the
23:45 word of the Lord were the heavens made. We can now
23:48 through the Hadron collider we can see that that scripture is
23:54 correct. That God has this incredible power. He can call
23:58 anything into existence. A 100 billion stars. What a creator.
24:09 The large Hadron collider is known for smashing protons
24:13 together. The energy from these collisions gets converted into
24:17 matter producing new particles that allow us to explore the
24:21 nature of the universe. Yes. As I was sharing with you before,
24:25 Jesus said all power is given to me in heaven and earth. We're
24:28 talking about power folks, we're talking about power when you can
24:31 look at the penny and realize the power in the atom when God
24:37 spoke in all matter, God put that power there because he said
24:43 all power is given to me in heaven and earth. The penny
24:46 which would contain, if you could release the energy that
24:49 binds those atoms together, you could have 2.2 million gallons
24:54 of gasoline. The little paper clip disappeared here on me.
24:59 A paper clip, if you could remove the energy in the atoms
25:05 in one paper clip you would have 18,000 tons of TNT. That is
25:10 is unbelievable power. You know, I like that story about the
25:16 prodigal son to close our program today as we wind our
25:20 time down. You know that father was looking down that road and
25:26 every day that father was looking down that road, Is my
25:29 boy coming home? Is my boy coming home? And the reason we
25:32 know that is that the Bible says that the father met him a great
25:36 way off. He didn't wait for him to come knocking on the door.
25:39 That father, whatever he was doing, whatever he was doing, he
25:42 keeping an eye on that road and he saw that son coming down that
25:46 road and he went to meet that son. That's like God coming to
25:51 meet us, OK. If you look in the wonderful little book, Christ's
25:56 Object Lessons, it says in there if you take one step toward the
26:02 Savior, this is the prodigal taking one step toward home.
26:06 To illustrate the goodness of God, the love of God. If you
26:10 take one step toward the Savior he will enfold you in his arms
26:15 of infinite love. It says never a prayer is offered however
26:19 faltering... Are your prayers faltering? Sometimes you go to
26:21 sleep when you're talking to the Lord. Sometimes I have to
26:24 apologize, Lord, I called you up and put you on hold and I dozed
26:30 off. So never a prayer is offered, however faltering,
26:35 your prayers are faltering sometimes... Never a tear is
26:39 shed however secret but the Spirit of God goes forth to meet
26:45 it. Now I left out one word because the text says if you
26:50 take even, even one step toward the Savior. Is that an important
26:55 word. That indicates you've turned around. If you just take
27:00 even one step toward the Savior he will enfold you in his arms
27:05 of infinite love. Never a prayer is offered, however faltering,
27:10 never a tear is shed however secret but the Spirit of God
27:14 goes forth to meet. It goes on even before that prayer is made.
27:19 Folks, we have an infinite God. Moses said let me see your glory
27:23 and God says I will make my goodness pass before you. God is
27:26 so good. He has given us a thousand. You know, he's given
27:30 20,000 herbs and spices. He wouldn't have had to give you
27:34 cinnamon, garlic and oregano. Twenty thousand herbs and spices
27:38 He satisfies your mouth with good things. The goodness of the
27:42 Lord. God said I will make my goodness pass before you when
27:46 Moses said let me see your glory I would think something
27:49 spectacular but God said I will make my goodness pass before you
27:53 Well our time is gone again. Join us next week as we
27:56 continue the Heavens Declare. Thank you for watching.
