00:01 Music...
00:06 So, what is the Secret's Unsealed Summit?
00:08 Good question.
00:10 We're going to give you information
00:13 about the Secret's Unsealed Summit.
00:15 What you can expect to experience...
00:18 what your experience might be like...
00:21 what you might hope to gain from attending a Summit...
00:26 what you will come away with
00:30 and how much you'll enjoy it as it refreshes
00:34 and encourages you in your Christian experience.
00:38 Music...
01:10 We want to welcome all of you to our first Summit.
01:13 This is a historic Summit.
01:15 The first one is always historic.
01:17 Perhaps many of you are not acquainted with
01:22 the history of Secrets Unsealed.
01:24 This is a very young ministry.
01:27 Our ministry began actually in 2003
01:30 and, of course, we're in 2009
01:33 so, it's going on seven years since we started this ministry.
01:37 I never dreamed that
01:40 seven years after we started the ministry,
01:42 we'd be having the first Summit.
01:44 I'd like to introduce to you Terry Rusk
01:48 she works in the Call Center with me.
01:50 I am the privileged Marketing Director
01:52 of having three right arms...
01:54 she is one of them...
01:56 couldn't do this without her and appreciate her very much.
02:00 Piano...
02:06 My name is Terry Rusk
02:07 and I've been working for Secrets Unsealed
02:09 for 12 years now
02:10 and I had been working for about a year
02:15 when I heard about the idea of having a Summit
02:19 So, I was new to the Ministry...
02:22 learning all kinds of things
02:24 and... so when the idea came of a Summit,
02:27 I wasn't quite sure what all that entailed
02:30 but I'm sure it was going to be a good event.
02:34 Piano.
02:59 The Secrets Unsealed Summit began in 2009
03:04 but it's a large undertaking so as you can imagine
03:08 it didn't just start in 2009,
03:12 the idea for the Summit happened a few years before.
03:17 The idea for the Summit started in the year 2008.
03:22 Aileen and myself were attending
03:25 a Remnant Publications Rally in Michigan
03:28 and yearly they get all of their supporters together
03:32 for prayer and for fellowship...
03:33 for eating together and for supporting the Ministry
03:36 so, both of us looked at each other and we said,
03:39 "You know, this would be a great idea
03:41 for Secrets Unsealed. "
03:42 We had that conversation there...
03:47 constant back and forth and... and I said to him...
03:51 I said, "We can make this happen with God's help
03:53 and so, that's basically where the idea was birthed...
03:58 we got the idea from Remnant to have these meetings
04:01 and to give people an opportunity...
04:03 a place where they could come
04:05 and hear messages that they could trust and be fed
04:10 and take back... not only gain for their own personal use
04:13 Bible-Study time and learn how to study
04:16 but also to be able to share with others.
04:18 Secrets Unsealed has made it a point
04:21 to stay linked with the Denomination.
04:26 We believe that this is God's church...
04:29 we believe that this church has issues... it has problems...
04:33 some places have very profound and deep problems
04:36 but we believe that this is still God's church
04:40 and we need to keep in touch
04:42 and so, Secrets Unsealed functions
04:45 in Fresno Seventh-day Church
04:49 with volunteers from Fresno Seventh-day Church.
04:52 I recall particularly
04:55 at Larry and Aileen Pyburn's house one Sabbath...
04:59 after church, we had dinner
05:04 and a number of the people who were interested
05:10 in the Secrets Unsealed Organization
05:13 were eating there
05:14 and afterwards Pastor Bohr was there
05:17 and his wife and Steven...
05:19 we began talking about the ministry
05:21 and the idea of Summit came up then as well
05:24 and we kind of talked about the things
05:26 that would be kind of nice to do.
05:29 And so, in 2009
05:31 we decided to have our first Secrets Unsealed Summit
05:35 which was held at Tenaya Lodge
05:37 and the idea was to get everyone together for prayer...
05:41 for Bible Study...
05:43 for fellowship... good exercise... good food...
05:44 just basically... good Christian time.
05:47 We have three Speakers...
05:50 the schedule is kind of intense as you've been able to tell,
05:54 I think we have something like...
05:56 close to 15 Presentations this weekend...
06:00 three different subjects...
06:02 Ed Reid is dealing with end-time events
06:05 and Ron Du Preez... I haven't seen him yet but...
06:09 there he is... way over there...
06:11 he's going to be dealing with the issue of the Sabbath.
06:15 He has a dynamite book that just came out
06:18 on the Sabbath
06:20 and you're not going to want to miss any of his Presentations
06:23 and then, I'll be dealing mostly with Adventist issues...
06:27 with end-time events
06:28 but from a Seventh-day Adventist perspective
06:31 so, we anticipate having a great time learning together.
06:35 Music...
06:55 This is our second Secrets Unsealed Summit
06:59 and we look forward to many more Summits
07:02 if the Lord doesn't come before.
07:06 All right, you got it? Here we go...
07:10 Troublesome times are here,
07:14 filling men's hearts with fear
07:18 Freedom we all hold dear now is at stake...
07:25 Well, the Secrets Unsealed Summit has many purposes
07:32 but the real thrust of the Summit is to provide our...
07:39 our attendees
07:42 with a deep spiritual learning experience
07:47 of the conservative Adventist view on
07:50 the selected topics that we present.
07:54 You know, I like to begin
07:58 by referencing the title of our Series:
08:02 The Wise Shall Understand.
08:06 This understanding of the wise
08:10 and we've had a lot of... our dreams really stretched
08:13 to look really deeply
08:14 into the literary structure of the prophecies this morning.
08:20 This type of understanding all takes place inside the brain.
08:25 There is an organ in the human body... we call the brain
08:30 and all of our thought processes...
08:34 all of our understandings take place inside these neurons
08:41 and synapses that make up the brain.
08:43 I mean, it's about the size and consistency
08:47 of about two or three pounds of tofu, you know,
08:50 and it actually sits in a plastic bag of water...
08:53 sort of like water-packed tofu
08:55 but it's not tofu.
08:57 It is the most amazing creation of all that God has created.
09:03 We recognized that there was a need
09:06 to help people with their spiritual walk
09:10 and when Secrets Unsealed came to... to be...
09:13 we were impressed by the Lord strongly
09:16 that this ministry was to be unlike any other ministry...
09:20 this ministry was to be one that was for in-reach
09:23 and not out-reach.
09:25 That is what we provide...
09:27 we provide a weekend of intense Bible Study
09:30 where not only can you hear Pastor Bohr speak
09:33 but also other Speakers that we believe
09:36 are serious about preparing God's people all over the world
09:41 to face the battles in the end-time events
09:45 that are coming upon us, we have to be ready for that
09:49 and so, the Summits are designed to prepare the saints
09:52 to face those last days.
09:54 Piano.
09:56 I received an e-mail a couple of months ago
10:00 from a Pastor who's a President of a Conference
10:03 in the area of Guantanamo in Cuba
10:06 and he said in his e-mail,
10:09 Pastor Bohr, we want you to come to Guantanamo
10:12 because there's a Methodist Church
10:14 that has watched: Cracking the Genesis Code
10:18 and the whole Methodist Church
10:20 has become a Seventh-day Adventist Church
10:22 and they would like to meet you
10:25 and so, Next year, April 3 through 9,
10:28 I have an appointment to go and preach in Guantanamo.
10:32 Have you ever heard of Guantánamo?
10:35 I'm not planning to go to the prison.
10:37 Also, about a month and a half ago,
10:40 I was standing...
10:42 my brother-in-law rather standing in line
10:44 at a bank in the city of Medellin, Colombia,
10:47 and he was going to withdraw some money
10:50 and I was sitting there in the reception area
10:53 waiting for him to do his transaction
10:55 when I noticed that a... a man... very nicely dressed...
10:59 looked like a minister...
11:00 his wife also very nicely dressed...
11:02 painted up with all of her jewelry on...
11:04 you know, they came into the Bank
11:07 and they stood in line
11:09 and suddenly, this individual turned
11:11 and he saw me sitting there
11:13 and so, he and his wife got out of the line
11:17 and came and said, "Are you Stephen Bohr?"
11:21 I said... I knew they weren't Adventists, by the way...
11:24 I said, "Yes, I am Stephen Bohr. "
11:27 He said, "I am Pentecostal Pastor... this is my wife
11:30 and we want you to know
11:33 that we don't miss any of your programs,
11:35 in fact, I use your material in my sermons at my church. "
11:40 You see, our Programming in Spanish is also being broadcast
11:44 on ADvenir
11:46 which is a... a station that was established by David Gates.
11:49 Another day and this comes to mind...
11:52 I was standing in front of a... of a grocery store...
11:54 I'd say... more than a grocery store...
11:57 it was kind of like a Walmart in Colombia...
11:59 I was talking to my brother-in-law
12:01 and suddenly a guy comes to me and he says,
12:03 "Are you Pastor Bohr?"
12:05 I said, "Yes, I sure am. "
12:07 He says, "I want you to know that I watch your programs
12:11 every day on ADvenir. "
12:14 He says, "You know, I'm a Catechist... "
12:17 in other words... "I teach a group of people
12:19 the Catechism of the Catholic Church,
12:21 and I want you to know that I use your material. "
12:23 Audience: Laughter.
12:26 "When I teach the Catechism. "
12:29 You know, it's really inspiring
12:31 when people recognize you on the street...
12:33 non-Adventists
12:35 and, you know, in Guatemala
12:36 I was running to catch a connection in Guatemala
12:39 and a lady comes up to me... she grabs me in the arm,
12:41 she says, "Are you Pastor Bohr?"
12:42 I said, "Yeah, I'm Pastor Bohr... "
12:44 and then, I was in a hurry...
12:45 she says, "Oh, I want you to know that...
12:48 I don't miss any of your Programs,
12:49 I'm not an Adventist but I don't miss it. "
12:52 and that has happened in many different places...
12:54 people are watching
12:56 and people are coming to an acceptance of our message.
12:58 This is long offering appeal today
13:02 but I figured I needed to give you some background.
13:04 We would like to receive an offering today
13:08 to help us with the next step in our project,
13:12 that is to find a Production Studio
13:16 where we can continue producing material
13:20 to share with the world...
13:22 distinctive message of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
13:26 One of the things about the Summit
13:29 is that... it is our focal point of fundraising for the year.
13:35 It's a time when we tell our supporters what we need
13:42 and how much it costs to get the things that we need
13:50 but also, we give them a report for what has happened
13:57 from the previous year from their giving
14:00 and so, we say,
14:01 "We asked last year for X dollars to do X things... "
14:05 and we say to them,
14:08 "Out in the Parking Lot is the Studio Van,
14:12 you can go during Sessions...
14:15 in between Sessions down to the van...
14:17 we'll give you a tour through the Production Van. "
14:19 When we have different equipment that we have purchased...
14:27 often, it will be in use during the Summit.
14:31 So, it is a time for us to show our accountability
14:35 to our Supporters
14:36 as well as ask them to be generous in giving
14:40 so that we can continue to grow the ministry.
14:44 The only problem that we have now
14:48 is that we don't have any place to put the equipment.
14:52 We need a Production Studio...
14:56 we need a building to put this equipment
15:00 and so that we can produce quality programming.
15:03 In 2008, we were at the Fresno Central Church...
15:06 I mean to say... we were at the Central Fresno Church
15:08 until 2012
15:12 and in 2008, we started fundraising for this Facility
15:16 and it was three years that we were fundraising.
15:19 We closed escrow February of 2012
15:23 but we did not take possession until June of 2012
15:26 because we wanted to have all the money
15:28 when we entered through the... through these doors.
15:32 Music...
15:51 More music.
16:02 There are many who see 2nd Kings chapter 2 verse 9
16:05 as the pinnacle of Elisha's life...
16:10 in fact, any man's life.
16:12 To request and receive a double portion of the Spirit of God...
16:20 The programs that are put on
16:24 and the Speakers that come in
16:27 have all been... if you want to say... vetted,
16:32 so to speak,
16:34 to determine that they have a conservative Adventist
16:39 theological view
16:40 and so, people can come for the weekend
16:43 for an in-depth Bible Study on a certain topic
16:49 as presented by a number of Speakers
16:52 as well as a health presentation
16:55 or health presentations that occur
16:57 during that weekend because in feeding the whole man,
17:02 we need to pay attention to the health issues as well.
17:07 For the next hour, we're going to take a look at
17:10 controlling cholesterol.
17:14 Most everybody is aware
17:17 that a high cholesterol is really bad for you.
17:20 What does it do?
17:22 Causes heart attacks and strokes, right?
17:25 And why is everybody so aware of that?
17:28 You know why you're so aware of that?
17:32 Because the pharmaceutical industry
17:35 has put billions of dollars... not millions...
17:39 billions of dollars into marketing
17:41 their cholesterol-lowering drugs.
17:44 The cholesterol-lowering drugs...
17:47 we call them the Statins
17:48 are the number one most profitable drug
17:52 in the pharmaceutical history.
17:54 The original plan for choosing Speakers
17:57 and for choosing a theme for the Summit was very interesting.
18:01 I personally have chosen every theme for every Summit
18:06 and, of course, I've been very influential
18:10 also in choosing the individuals who are going to speak.
18:13 Basically, they have to be strong Bible-believing
18:16 conservative Seventh-day Adventists
18:18 who believe the full message of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
18:21 and as far as the name that we choose for the Summit
18:28 or the theme for the Summit...
18:29 I do that basically by choosing a Bible theme...
18:33 a Bible name...
18:35 like, for example: Thy Redemption Draweth Nigh...
18:37 The Wise Shall Understand.
18:40 This year: The Hour of His Judgment
18:42 and if I could just mention the reason why we chose
18:47 the name: Secrets Unsealed
18:49 is based on the Bible.
18:52 The word "Secrets" is based on Amos 3 verse 7
18:55 where we are told that the Lord God does nothing
18:58 unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.
19:02 So, there you have the word "Secret"
19:03 and then: Unsealed is based on Daniel 12 verse 4
19:07 where it speaks about the Little Book...
19:10 Daniel 8 through 12 primarily
19:13 that will be opened or unsealed in the time of the end.
19:17 So, there you have: Secrets Unsealed.
19:19 So, we choose a Bible theme
19:21 and we choose the Speakers in harmony with the theme
19:25 after much prayer and reflection.
19:28 Music...
19:58 When we stand up in the midst of crowds...
20:02 when we speak of this on the radio...
20:05 when we talk of this on television...
20:08 when we communicate this message to the masses
20:12 during the final crisis,
20:14 it must be based on the Bible
20:17 and I'm sure that's exactly Ellen White's intent
20:21 that it's communicated from Scripture to the World
20:25 and this is the deep conviction that I have
20:27 that we need to find it here...
20:29 we need to understand it here...
20:31 and we need to preach it here from the Scriptures
20:34 to a lost world.
20:36 Wouldn't you agree?
20:37 We recognize that not one Speaker
20:40 is going to reach everyone
20:42 and so, we do have a variety of Speakers...
20:45 they all are singing the same song...
20:47 they are all singing the same song
20:50 and... and... and presenting the same message
20:52 from... from a different angle...
20:54 they're all based in Scripture
20:57 but one style over another
20:59 will always reach one person or another.
21:02 In the topics that are presented...
21:06 not only is in-depth material presented
21:09 but after the Presentations,
21:11 they have time for questions and answers
21:15 and so, if they are unclear about any particular
21:20 part of the Presentation,
21:22 they can ask for clarification
21:25 and receive clarification from the Speaker
21:29 and so, it helps to nurture and nourish them
21:33 so that when they leave that mountain-top experience...
21:39 when they go into the proverbial valley
21:43 of their day-to-day existence,
21:45 they carry with them an in-depth knowledge
21:48 and many of them use this knowledge
21:50 in their Bible Study Groups...
21:53 in their Church Prayer Meeting groups...
21:57 wherever they can utilize the information,
22:01 they have a syllabus for reference
22:04 and they're able to use that and document information
22:09 that they're able to help... to teach others
22:13 in their local home church.
22:16 Music...
22:39 Are there Satanic instruments...
22:42 instruments that we cannot use?
22:44 I'm assuming you are asking me not Dr...
22:49 Yeah, maybe yeah... maybe like let me be specific...
22:54 the electric guitar.
22:55 Okay, I would answer, "No...
23:00 there are no such things as Satanic instruments...
23:03 musical instruments...
23:04 it's what we do with the instruments.
23:06 If there was an instrument that we were going to portray
23:09 and many people do portray them as Satanic...
23:12 it would be the electric guitar and it would be the drums.
23:14 The base guitar... sometimes as well,
23:16 people say, "Oh, that's all Satanic. "
23:18 The reality is, you can play all three of those
23:21 properly... not the... not the drum set
23:24 but you can play the drum, like we said, properly.
23:27 It would be more akin to a march
23:29 or just to help you keep time, frankly.
23:31 Just because a guitar has been electrified... amplified...
23:38 doesn't make it Satanic.
23:39 Now, if we are able to play that with skill properly
23:44 and not creating a rhythm instrument out of it,
23:46 just... rnk... rnk... rnk...
23:47 rnk... rnk... rnk... that kind of thing...
23:48 Stephen: Distorting sounds.
23:50 Christian: As a distortion... yeah,
23:51 that's where I was going with that...
23:52 to where we add these... these processing pedals
23:56 or boxes that take the pure sound and distort it
24:01 and so, instead of ding... ding...
24:03 it's pfvvvzzz... pfvvvzzz... pfvvvzzz...
24:05 and it just distorts and it creates distortion
24:08 and you can deharmonize things...
24:11 you do a lot of different things with...
24:13 with these pedals that you can buy.
24:14 The Summit is held the last week of October every year
24:21 and... or that Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday...
24:29 it's set on our calendar
24:31 and everyone can kind of set their calendar to know
24:35 that that's when it comes.
24:36 It comes at a great time because
24:39 we don't have to worry about dealing with Spring Break
24:45 or some of the other areas or... or times in the calendar
24:50 when people are vacationing or away from home.
24:54 It comes kind of close to the end-of-the-year holidays
24:59 but still enough time in the calendar
25:02 to make adjustments for their budget.
25:05 So, it's kind of at a pretty ideal time of the year.
25:10 It's beautiful during that time of the year
25:12 and the weather is not inclement...
25:16 the Facility is fantastic and very accommodating
25:22 for the Programs that are presented.
25:27 Well, we choose the end of October for several reasons.
25:30 One reason is that it's over Halloween weekend
25:33 and it's much better to be gathered up there
25:36 than... than to be looking at skeletons
25:38 and seeing people do trick or treating.
25:40 Soothing my soul,
25:43 Refining me
25:47 Making me whole
25:51 No matter what I may lose
25:58 I choose the Refiner's fire.
26:04 music...
26:27 The second greatest power in the universe
26:29 is the power of Satan...
26:32 second only to God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost.
26:35 Pause...
26:38 Bible Commentary volume 5 page 1083, paragraph one,
26:42 Ellen White writes...
26:43 "Bear in mind that it is none but God
26:46 that can hold an argument with Satan...
26:48 not even Gabriel. "
26:52 Pause...
26:55 Testimonies volume 1 page 341, paragraph 1,
26:57 "Jesus alone can limit the power of Satan... "
27:00 or God alone can limit the power of Satan.
27:04 Testimonies Volume 1 page 341, paragraph 1,
27:08 paragraphs one and two... "Only God can restrain Satan. "
27:12 Evangelism page 617, paragraph 2,
27:16 "The prince of the power of evil can only be held in check
27:20 by the power of God
27:21 in the third person of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit. "
27:24 So that, Ellen White identifies Father, Son, Holy Ghost
27:26 as the only ones who can restrain Satan.
27:29 Satan has tremendous power
27:32 and so, God heals... the devil can heal...
27:36 but the devil cannot give life...
27:39 the devil cannot save...
27:42 he cannot create
27:43 and he does not know in detail the end from the beginning.
27:47 The Summit greatly enhances the work of Secrets Unsealed.
27:51 It's one of the high points of our ministry
27:54 because we're able to get all of our supporters together
27:58 so that they can network...
27:59 they can be acquainted with each other
28:02 not only at the Summit
28:03 but also during the course of the year.
28:05 The spiritual growth has been tremendous among everyone,
28:10 we're able to do exercise together...
28:12 we're able to eat together...
28:14 we're able to pray together...
28:16 study the Word together...
28:18 there's just a bonding
28:20 of the strong supporters of the ministry
28:22 and so, that greatly enhances the outreach of our ministry
28:27 because people go home and they say,
28:28 "Man, we had a wonderful experience at the Summit,
28:31 you ought to come next year... "
28:32 and in this way, many more people come to our Summits
28:35 in future years.
28:37 People that come to our Summit come with many prayer requests
28:43 and a lot of them are hurting in different ways
28:46 whether it be through family members
28:49 or illnesses that they're going through
28:51 or deaths in the family
28:53 or just challenges in general
28:55 and the Secrets Unsealed Summit provides them
29:00 with strength to carry on
29:04 and that's... that's probably the best way to describe it.
29:07 The strength to... to... to hang on to that commitment...
29:11 to hang on to their crown.
29:12 I know for a fact that there are people
29:15 that you know... that you have relationships with
29:19 that instead of trying to maybe witness yourself,
29:24 because I believe that your own life is a very strong testimony,
29:27 is that, when you share the truth,
29:30 don't pre-judge whether they're going to accept it or not,
29:35 whether they're going to like it or not.
29:37 We're not responsible for the outcome of what happens.
29:42 Our responsibility as Christians is to share the truth
29:45 and so, I really appreciate Stephen Bohr's ministry
29:49 and Secrets Unsealed because
29:50 also, this is another thing you can think about
29:54 is that when we leave here,
29:55 we're supposed to be those reapers...
29:58 they're going to the harvest.
29:59 We're supposed to help our Savior
30:01 bring people into the kingdom
30:03 and so, at the little town that I live in in eastern Oregon,
30:08 western Idaho...
30:09 they have a Correctional Facility
30:11 and for the last four or five years,
30:13 some of us volunteers
30:15 have gone into the local prisons
30:19 and guess what we use as our... as our resources?
30:22 "Cracking the Genesis Code"
30:25 was like big stuff at that prison
30:27 so, maybe I don't have all the answers
30:31 but I've got a captive audience...
30:34 you got it? Captive audience...
30:36 and I've got a big screen
30:38 and I just turn that on and let Jesus do His thing
30:42 and Stephen Bohr speaks to those inmates
30:46 and you can see the change take place.
30:48 If you've ever been involved
30:50 in helping someone come to the truth,
30:52 you will never find anything more satisfying.
30:54 The Summit is a... recharging your batteries.
30:59 It's a time of getting re-acquainted
31:03 to that first love that you have in Jesus.
31:06 Music...
31:24 to glory...
31:26 and I am
31:30 the Lord's...
31:33 I am the Lord's...
31:35 and they shall be my people...
31:39 they shall be...
31:44 Terry: Children's ministry...
31:46 we have a teacher that comes out with an excellent program
31:52 and the children are able to learn
31:56 and not only new songs but messages.
31:59 My husband comes and shares with the children
32:04 on animals and nature.
32:06 He loves to do that
32:08 and he brings live animals to the group
32:11 and the children are able to enjoy that
32:14 and the testimonies from the children themselves
32:18 is... is awesome to hear.
32:20 I will give them a Lord to know me...
32:25 I will give them a Lord to know...
32:30 I will give them a Lord to know that I...
32:36 He too looks at new materials...
32:38 new information that he can share with these children
32:42 which they walk away... very happy
32:45 with a feather or some type of a... a... a token
32:51 of their experience of being there.
32:54 Sometimes, it will be a snake skin
32:57 which the kids really like...
32:59 I don't know about the moms though...
33:01 but they enjoy having this little token
33:04 that they can take back as a remembrance...
33:06 of remembering
33:08 the experience that they had there at the Summit.
33:10 They learn and they're outdoors and they have rock climbing
33:15 and... and archery and different activities like that
33:18 but it's all Christ Centered
33:21 and so, the families that have brought their children
33:24 have been very pleased
33:26 and... and they come back again over and over.
33:29 Music...
33:48 These letters that we receive from inmates
33:50 really touch my heart... but I don't want to cry,
33:53 so, here is a letter here from some of the inmates that say,
33:57 "Thank you for your blessing...
33:59 thank you for sending me the Genesis Series of Study Notes,
34:03 they were very insightful and I wasn't expecting anything.
34:07 They obviously came from God's prompting.
34:09 I've shared them with another Adventist brother
34:12 in the yard and we hope to bring them into our Study Group.
34:17 I really enjoy the little thought about Connections. "
34:22 These are the reflections on
34:24 everything that Pastor Bohr writes
34:26 is reflections on everything... so he's quoting on this
34:29 and he really is appreciated on that on the Study.
34:32 He says, "It's caused me to exclaim to God
34:35 that our church has truly been blessed
34:38 with Spirt-led ministers.
34:39 I think because we don't have to worry about
34:43 tiptoeing around certain texts like popular denominations do,
34:48 we can be bold in making proclamations. "
34:52 This is from an inmate.
34:53 At each Summit, there is a period of time
34:57 where Terry Rusk is able to share with all of the attendees
35:03 information and communication
35:07 that has been given to us by the inmates
35:11 that we have assisted
35:13 and they tell us about their spiritual growth...
35:16 they tell us how not only they have learned Bible truths
35:22 but how they've been able to share Bible truths
35:25 with their cellmates during their time of incarceration.
35:29 This is from Jordan.
35:32 He says, "I've been an SDA for a while now
35:34 since I know the truth about the Sabbath
35:36 and other secrets like these three angels' message.
35:39 I'm very deep in my studies.
35:42 Secrets Unsealed has been a blessing...
35:44 has blessed me with books and studies
35:46 to help me grow in my faith.
35:48 Your ministry just sent me another blessing...
35:51 a Remnant Study Bible... "
35:52 and let me tell you, inmates love the Remnant Study Bible
35:56 and you all know how much they cost
35:59 because we sell them in our bookstore
36:02 but they are truly blessed and they have just...
36:06 we get so many letters of thank you...
36:08 he says, " I've always wanted one of these Bibles
36:13 and Jesus found a way to bless me through your ministry
36:16 and I'm very thankful for it. "
36:18 An inmate sent this little thank you...
36:22 thank you card and he says,
36:24 "I want to thank you for sending me the following book:
36:27 Messenger of the Lord and the: 101 Questions. "
36:30 How many Adventists have read that?
36:32 Well, this is an inmate who has.
36:34 "I'm truly grateful for the gift that you have given me.
36:37 Some of us truly do need a lesser light
36:40 to lead us to the greater light.
36:42 You are a true blessing to me
36:44 and I thank you for helping me grow spiritually.
36:47 I love you all, God bless. "
36:48 This is... we don't get too many letters from female inmates
36:54 but when we do, wow!
36:56 This is one that when I received it,
36:58 I didn't know what to do, so I asked someone
37:01 from our Pastoral Department
37:02 to help me to respond
37:04 because I don't have all that Biblical wisdom
37:08 as some of you do
37:10 but Daniel was able to help me with this one
37:11 and this letter says, "I absolutely... "
37:14 let me see if I can start with my first one here.
37:17 I want to start with the first letter that we got from her.
37:20 "I caught the end of your Show on 3ABN...
37:23 Three Angels Broadcast Revelation Network...
37:27 I was incarcerated at 19 years old.
37:32 I murdered the man who attacked me because I am a homosexual
37:36 but in the last 42 months,
37:38 God has taken... taking every one of my life...
37:42 everything out of my life
37:44 that does not glorify Him.
37:45 Yet, I can admit that I need help on this path
37:51 and to true freedom.
37:53 I hope you choose to help.
37:55 I know it was not luck that allowed me to see your Show
37:59 but God's direction.
38:01 If I do not leave fear behind, I will probably... "
38:06 no, "I will be robbed of my destiny, please write back. "
38:10 So, I didn't know how to write to her.
38:14 I knew what to send to her
38:17 but Daniel was able to send a letter
38:20 and that first letter was in May...
38:22 this one is in July
38:24 and this one says,
38:25 "I absolutely adore my Bible.
38:27 Thank you so much for: Cracking the Genesis Code Study.
38:30 It is so interesting to learn.
38:35 I truly thank God for allowing you and Pastor Dan
38:38 to cross my path.
38:40 I'm going to get baptized for the first time
38:43 on Sunday the 10th at 8:30.
38:46 Please keep my sisters and I here in your prayers. "
38:49 Praise the Lord for that.
38:51 We receive 100s of letters from inmates
38:55 and throughout the year,
38:57 I try to glean all of those letters
39:01 and put together a series of testimonies
39:03 that I can share with those that are present
39:06 and it just really warms my heart
39:09 that I'm been able to share these testimonies
39:12 that men and women write to us from their Cells
39:16 that are crossing State boundaries
39:20 because they're from all over the United States
39:23 and they really share what's in their hearts
39:26 and they also share the fact that what we are doing
39:31 by way of sending them the Study Notes
39:34 has really encouraged them and has helped them
39:37 in their spiritual walk with the Lord.
39:39 Music...
39:56 You know, I can honestly say
39:59 that all I do here is preach and write...
40:03 nothing more...
40:06 these are the people that really do the work
40:10 and they're hardly recognized.
40:13 So, I would ask you to give them a big hand.
40:16 Audience: Clapping.
40:18 So, preparing for this Summit... being there at the Summit
40:23 and after the Summit,
40:25 there is a lot of work involved with our staff
40:29 and I... myself... want to make sure that I'm on top of things
40:35 and... but at the same time it's... it's very rewarding
40:40 because at the end of the Summit,
40:42 we always try to hand out an Evaluation Form
40:46 where individuals can share their experience
40:49 and let us know what we did... what we did right...
40:52 what we should probably add to next year and so forth,
40:55 so, hearing a lot of the positive remarks
40:59 and good suggestions, we, of course, take to heart
41:04 and it's very rewarding to see individuals that come
41:08 and say, "I'm coming again next year... "
41:10 "I'm coming again and I'm going to bring my children... "
41:13 or "I'm coming again and I'm bringing my friends... "
41:15 and so forth...
41:16 and so, we know that not only was it a blessing for them
41:19 but they also want to share that blessing with others
41:22 and so, we come back exhausted
41:25 but at the same time,
41:27 it's a good feeling knowing that perhaps
41:31 more... more souls will be reached for God's kingdom.
41:36 I just want to say that I'm going to step out and say...
41:41 then I'm going to speak on behalf of everyone
41:43 that's on this stage.
41:45 We could not do what we do
41:47 if we didn't have a good leader who steers us.
41:50 Ultimately, God is the One who steers this ministry
41:54 but Pastor Bohr is phenomenal to work with.
41:57 He is fun... he truly loves every single one of us
42:02 and more than that, he loves every single one of you.
42:07 I have watched that first hand everywhere we go.
42:10 I have never met someone who truly has love for his flock
42:14 as Pastor Bohr.
42:15 A lot of Pastors say they do
42:17 but this man demonstrates that he really does
42:19 and that is a gift from God
42:21 and so, we respect him... we love him...
42:24 we give him a hard time every single day.
42:27 It is our duty to make sure that he stays humble.
42:31 We really do have a family atmosphere
42:37 but it is Pastor Bohr who keeps his finger on the pulse
42:42 of every single department.
42:43 He checks in with every one of us, every single day
42:46 that he's in town.
42:47 The Summit gives me the opportunity
42:49 to put faces with names
42:51 and to get better acquainted with people.
42:54 You know, when you don't have a Summit,
42:57 you just basically have a bunch of names of people
43:01 in our... you know, in our database
43:04 and you never know much about them
43:07 but when we have the Summit,
43:09 I'm able to remember names that we have in our database
43:12 and put the face with the name and get much better acquainted.
43:16 Music...
43:32 The Adventist church has become distracted
43:35 from what we're really supposed to do.
43:37 The devil has led the church
43:41 to enter in a period of great strife
43:43 like he has led the United States
43:46 into a period of great strife
43:48 between the two political parties.
43:50 In the Adventist church we also have two political parties
43:53 and we've been distracted by...
43:57 from what we're supposed to be doing.
43:58 We encourage our speakers to use as much Spirit of Prophecy
44:03 and Bible as possible
44:05 because people that come expect that level of depth.
44:09 People all over want to know how do you...
44:12 how do you study the Bible
44:13 together with Ellen White's writings
44:15 and... and that's another benefit of coming
44:18 because every Speaker through their Presentations
44:21 are going to give you a thorough study of the Word.
44:23 You are saved and I am saved
44:27 only when we have the presence...
44:30 the reality of the living Christ actually living in us.
44:36 It is this union with Christ that saves us.
44:41 It is this union with Christ
44:43 by which we come up out of the grave.
44:45 It is this union with Christ
44:46 that we're translated and given a new body.
44:49 It is this union with Christ that covers us
44:52 and covers our sins...
44:53 It is this union with Christ that empowers us
44:56 to live a holy Christian life.
45:00 It is Christ in you... a hope of glory...
45:03 that is Christ our righteousness because He's the reality.
45:08 The messages that I hear
45:11 are messages that I've heard most of my life
45:17 but at the same time, it gives you that opportunity
45:22 to really internalize those
45:23 and own the message when you walk away.
45:26 This is the message now that I have.
45:28 It's not so much a message that someone else is teaching
45:33 or preaching...
45:34 it's now a message that I can share with others
45:37 and that helps me a lot
45:39 and I enjoy being able to do that.
45:41 Music...
45:59 We have bought into a pastor dependency
46:03 that's killing our churches.
46:04 We expect that only Mark Finley can go win souls...
46:08 only Doug Batchelor... only in the big screen
46:10 or only when the Crusade comes... oh...
46:12 you ask a church member,
46:13 "When was the last time your church did Evangelism?"
46:16 And you automatically think a public evangelism...
46:18 it's an event...
46:19 it's a four-week process that we raise money for...
46:20 we put up banners
46:22 and we hope people come out to it.
46:24 Friends, Evangelism is not an event,
46:26 it's a lifestyle that should be part of the DNA
46:28 of every member of God's remnant church.
46:30 If you've never been to a Summit,
46:33 you need to come because it's a wonderful experience.
46:37 On the day that you arrive,
46:40 there is a Registration period there at the hotel
46:44 where you check into your room
46:46 and in the first evening,
46:49 there is a Keynote Address
46:52 given typically by Pastor Bohr
46:55 to set the tone for the weekend.
46:58 In the morning, early we have a... a small exercise...
47:05 a physical-exercise period
47:07 led by Jeannie Wheaton who is one of our local dieticians
47:12 who works along... aside us in the ministry here,
47:16 and she takes people out on a nature walk
47:19 early in the morning.
47:20 After the nature walk is scheduled a time of prayer
47:26 in the auditorium where most of the meetings occur
47:31 and so, there will be like a twenty or thirty minute
47:36 prayer meeting so to speak
47:38 there in the morning.
47:40 Then the programs will start, we'll have a Speaker after that
47:46 and then, there will be a breakfast
47:47 and I have to say that the Tenaya Lodge cooking staff
47:53 have been superb in their presentation
47:57 of not just vegetarian but vegan food
48:00 and so, they provide for us wonderful meals
48:05 for breakfast and then, later for our dinner.
48:10 After breakfast there, there are other presentations that follow,
48:15 there's typically a small period of time
48:19 where we kind of take a break
48:21 where people can get outside and kind of see nature...
48:25 take a... take a little walk to strengthen themselves
48:29 and then they come back in for the following Presentations
48:34 after dinner in the evening
48:37 and each Presentation as I said
48:39 is followed by a question and answer period
48:42 where people can firm up their understanding
48:46 of the various topics that have been presented.
48:50 Music...
48:58 As far as the future is concerned
49:00 for the Secrets Unsealed Summit,
49:02 the biggest challenge that we have
49:04 is to once again be able to do it in person
49:08 and we're hoping and we're praying to the Lord
49:12 that this Corona Virus will be overcome
49:16 so that we can once again meet in person
49:20 up at Tenaya Lodge.
49:21 As far as the other challenges
49:23 you know, they are challenges that we have every year
49:25 when we have the Summit
49:27 so, they're not insurmountable
49:29 but as far as the virus is concerned,
49:32 unless we are able once again to meet in person,
49:35 we would have to do it virtually again next year
49:38 and we are praying that we will not have to do it that way,
49:41 that we will be able to be with the people...
49:44 hug them... pray with them...
49:45 study with them...
49:47 exercise with them
49:49 and just have a great spiritual and physical time there.
49:52 So, please keep us in your prayers...
49:55 please pray that we will be able to have our Summit next year
49:59 that is if the Lord tarries.
50:01 Now, I'm so happy that we're able to have our Summit
50:05 by this means... it's different...
50:07 it's... it's not personal...
50:10 it's impersonal...
50:12 I don't get a chance to meet you personally and see you
50:15 and exchange hugs
50:17 but we are able to reach out to you by this means
50:21 and we are so happy that you have been able to join us
50:24 and join us with the challenges that we have here
50:29 as our ministry in... in growing
50:32 and sharing God's Word with many
50:35 and so, we invite you to join us for our Summits next year
50:41 and thereafter unless the Lord comes,
50:45 I think the real Summit will happen in heaven
50:47 but we want to thank each of you
50:51 who are making it possible for us to continue
50:55 to be a Ministry and... and share with others
50:59 and we just thank you and also invite you
51:03 to continue to just stay tuned to Secrets Unsealed
51:07 and sumTV and the Lord bless.
51:10 Now that we've explained to you what the Summit is
51:14 and now that you have a burning desire to attend the Summit,
51:18 we hope and pray that you'll actually put forth the effort
51:23 to come and to be with us during upcoming Summits.
51:28 If you will go to our website: SecretsUnsealed. org
51:34 you will find information there about our Summits.
51:39 You can sign up and register online
51:41 and we know that you will be blessed by attending.
51:46 Stay tuned... keep watch...
51:49 come and join us at the next Summit.
