00:01 Music...
00:44 Down the Via Dolorosa
00:49 in Jerusalem that day
00:54 The soldiers tried to clear the narrow streets
01:02 But the crowd pressed in to see
01:06 The Man condemned to die
01:10 on Calvary
01:15 Down the Via Dolorosa
01:20 called the way of suffering
01:24 Like a lamb came my Messiah,
01:28 Christ the King
01:32 And He chose to walk that road
01:36 Out of His love for you and me
01:44 Down the Via Dolorosa,
01:50 all the way
01:54 to Calvary
02:04 He was bleeding from a beating
02:08 There were stripes upon His back
02:12 And He wore a crown of thorns
02:16 upon His head
02:21 And He bore with every step
02:24 The scorn of those who cried out
02:28 for His death
02:32 Down the Via Dolorosa
02:36 called the way of suffering
02:40 Like a lamb came the Messiah,
02:43 Christ the King
02:47 But He chose to walk that road
02:51 Out of His love
02:53 for you and me
02:59 Down the Via Dolorosa,
03:04 all the way
03:08 to Calvary
03:14 That blood that would cleanse
03:16 the souls of all men
03:20 Made its way through the heart
03:23 of Jerusalem
03:30 Down the Via Dolorosa
03:36 called the way of suffering
03:39 Like a lamb came my Messiah,
03:42 Christ the King
03:46 But He chose to walk that road
03:49 out of His love for you and me
03:58 Down the Via Dolorosa,
04:02 all the way
04:08 to Calvary
04:17 music...
04:25 Calvary...
04:33 Music...
04:41 You know Satan is doing
04:44 everything in his power that he can
04:47 to hide the truth of God's love from us
04:50 because he knows that if we were to see that love
04:53 for what it really is... it would change us
04:56 and the gospel would become a living force inside of us
05:01 and not just a lifeless theory
05:03 and so, he does everything he can to distract us
05:07 and he's created all these images and pictures of God
05:11 and... of cruelty and... and things that are not true
05:14 so, for the next few minutes,
05:17 we're going to be taking a deeper look
05:21 into this incredible love and sacrifice
05:24 because when we see it for what it truly is,
05:28 we will grow to love Him more and more.
05:32 That day Christ not only bore the cross
05:36 but He bore the guilt of every sin ever committed
05:41 since Adam
05:43 and He felt the anguish that each sinner will feel
05:47 when the mercy is no longer offered
05:50 and as He faced death,
05:54 this is something we don't often think about.
05:58 He didn't know... He couldn't see past the grave
06:01 and He didn't know
06:03 if His sacrifice was going to be accepted
06:06 but yet, even though He could not see...
06:10 the Father was beside Him all the way...
06:14 longing to take the pain away
06:16 as Christ feared that sin would be so offensive to God
06:20 that it would separate them eternally.
06:23 Now the question I want to...
06:26 that I ask when I think about this is,
06:29 "Why would they do that?
06:31 Why would they go through this?"
06:33 The only answer is... love... they truly love us.
06:38 Pause...
06:49 Music...
07:07 Blood and sorrow flow
07:12 from the languid brow
07:17 of Jesus dying
07:21 And tears from heaven's eyes
07:29 are the anguished drops of a Father crying
07:37 Oh, why?
07:45 This must be a cross of love
07:51 for God to bruise His only Son
07:59 Jesus, what a sacrifice to reach us
08:08 It had to be a cross of love.
08:16 Emblems of his pain
08:23 Oh, splintered wood
08:27 of my transgression
08:33 I'll never comprehend
08:38 How an act so great
08:45 gave love expression
08:49 Oh, why?
08:54 This must be a cross of love
09:01 for God to bruise His only Son
09:11 Jesus, what a sacrifice to reach us
09:18 It had to be a cross of love.
09:26 Oh this must be a cross of love
09:34 for God to bruise His only Son
09:43 Jesus, what a sacrifice to reach us
09:50 It had to be a cross of love.
09:57 Oh, Jesus, what a sacrifice to reach us,
10:05 It had to be a cross
10:12 of
10:15 love...
10:27 music...
10:40 cross of love.
10:46 So often, the gift of salvation
10:53 is something that is taken for granted
10:55 but I want you to think for a moment
10:58 that this gift could just as easily not have been given.
11:02 When sin entered the world,
11:04 God could easily have just stepped back and said,
11:06 "I'm done... I'm done with them. "
11:08 He could have done that
11:10 because the wages of sin is death
11:13 but Jesus the Son of God...
11:17 He was touched with pity for us
11:21 and so, He went before His Father
11:24 and he pleaded on our behalf
11:27 and He offered to take the guilt and the shame
11:31 of our sin upon Himself
11:34 and you know, we're told that the Father struggled immensely
11:42 with this decision
11:43 and while He struggled with it,
11:46 the fate of all mankind hung in the balance.
11:48 What if He had said, "No... "
11:54 I want you to put yourself in His position for a moment
11:59 and think to yourself,
12:00 "What would you have said in that moment?"
12:03 We're told that the Father struggled between whether
12:09 to give His beloved Son to die for the human race
12:14 or let them perish
12:18 but because of a love that cannot be measured or expressed
12:25 He chose to let it happen
12:30 and to send His Son to die for us
12:32 and He did that even knowing how few would accept that gift
12:40 but here in His love...
12:43 not that we love God but that He loved us
12:47 and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
12:52 Music.
13:16 How deep the Father's love for us,
13:21 how vast beyond all measure,
13:27 That He should give His only Son
13:34 To make a wretch His treasure.
13:39 How great the pain of searing loss...
13:45 The Father turns His face away,
13:51 As wounds which mar the Chosen One
13:57 Bring many sons to glory.
14:05 Music.
14:19 Behold the man upon a cross,
14:24 My sin upon His shoulders;
14:30 Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
14:34 Call out among the scoffers.
14:40 It was my sin that held Him there
14:45 Until it was accomplished;
14:51 His dying breath has brought me life...
14:56 I know that it is finished.
15:04 Music.
15:30 I will not boast of anything,
15:36 No gifts, no power, no wisdom;
15:41 But I will boast in Jesus Christ,
15:46 His death and resurrection.
15:51 Why should I gain from His reward?
15:56 I cannot give an answer;
16:01 But this I know with all my heart...
16:07 His wounds have paid my ransom.
16:15 Music.
16:29 How deep the Father's love
16:37 music...
16:44 for us.
16:52 Music.
17:07 It has been Satan's purpose from the very beginning
17:11 to eternally separate us from God
17:13 but here's the good news,
17:15 because of Christ's sacrifice,
17:17 we have become more closely united to God
17:21 than if we had never fallen.
17:22 By taking on our human nature, He bound Himself to humanity
17:28 by a tie that is never to be broken.
17:31 Isn't that good news?
17:33 Because of Christ's death and resurrection,
17:38 His toiling, struggling ones on earth
17:42 are declared justified.
17:43 Where He is... there His church shall be
17:47 and I love this quotation,
17:51 it says, "The Father's arms encircled His Son
17:54 when He welcomed Him home after the resurrection
17:57 and the word was given,
17:58 'Let all the angels of God worship Him. '"
18:01 Can you imagine a moment like that?
18:04 Love has conquered.
18:06 The family of earth...
18:08 the family of heaven... they are one
18:10 and for our... for us... our Lord ascended
18:13 and for us He lives.
18:15 Wherefore, He is able to save them to the uttermost
18:21 that come unto God by Him
18:23 seeing that He ever lives to make intercession for them.
18:27 Pause...
18:34 Music...
18:55 Before the throne of God above
19:00 I have a strong, a perfect plea
19:07 A great high Priest whose name is Love
19:12 Whoever lives and pleads for me
19:19 My name is graven on His hands
19:24 My name is written on His heart
19:30 I know that while in heaven He stands
19:35 No tongue can bid me thence depart...
19:41 No tongue can bid me thence
19:44 depart.
19:50 Music.
19:55 When Satan tempts me to despair
20:01 And tells me of the guilt within
20:06 Upward I look and see Him there
20:11 Who made an end to all my sin
20:17 Because the sinless Savior died
20:22 My sinful soul is counted free
20:27 For God the just is satisfied
20:32 To look on Him and pardon me
20:38 To look on Him and pardon
20:42 me.
20:47 Music.
20:52 Behold Him there the risen Lamb
20:56 My perfect spotless righteousness
21:01 The great unchangeable I am
21:06 The King of glory and of grace
21:12 One with Himself I cannot die
21:17 My soul is purchased by His blood
21:22 My life is hid with Christ on high
21:26 With Christ my Savior and my God!
21:32 One with Himself I cannot die
21:37 My soul is purchased by His blood
21:42 My life is hid with Christ on high
21:47 With Christ my Savior and my God...
21:53 With Christ my Savior and
21:57 my God!
22:04 Music.
22:18 There's absolutely no greater joy
22:23 than to live for the One who died for you
22:26 and I want to leave you with this thought,
22:30 do not let the sacrifice
22:31 that was made for your eternal happiness be in vain
22:35 because of the short-lived amusements...
22:38 pleasures or distractions of this world.
22:40 It's not worth it.
22:43 God has given us everything,
22:47 He has dedicated everything for us
22:51 and His great reward for that love is going to be
22:57 bringing us home to be with Him forever.
23:00 We're living in earth's final moments... in the judgment hour
23:06 and there's no time to lose in surrendering our lives
23:12 to the One who loves us more than anyone else ever could
23:19 and as I sing this final song about God's amazing grace,
23:26 and how He has given us true freedom...
23:29 I want to invite you to surrender
23:32 or re-surrender your life to Him
23:35 because there is no one more able to care for you...
23:42 for you and to keep you safe than God.
23:47 Pause.
23:51 Music.
24:07 Amazing grace!
24:11 How sweet the sound
24:15 That saved a wretch
24:20 like me!
24:24 I once was lost,
24:28 but now I'm found;
24:32 Was blind, but now I see.
24:40 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
24:49 And grace my fears relieved;
24:57 How precious did that grace appear
25:06 The hour I first believed.
25:13 My chains are gone
25:18 I've been set free
25:22 My God, my Savior
25:26 has ransomed me
25:30 And like a flood
25:33 His mercy reigns
25:37 Unending love,
25:41 amazing grace
25:45 music...
25:59 The Lord has promised good to me
26:06 His word my hope secures
26:15 He will my shield and portion be
26:22 As long as life endures
26:29 My chains are gone
26:33 I've been set free
26:37 My God, my Savior
26:41 has ransomed me
26:44 And like a flood His mercy reigns
26:50 Unending love,
26:55 amazing grace
26:59 My chains are gone
27:03 I've been set free
27:06 My God, my Savior
27:10 has ransomed me
27:14 And like a flood
27:17 His mercy reigns
27:20 Unending love,
27:24 amazing grace
27:30 music...
27:34 The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
27:42 The sun forbear to shine
27:51 But God, Who called me here below,
27:59 Will be forever mine
28:08 Will be forever mine...
28:17 You are forever
28:24 mine.
28:28 Pause.
28:43 Piano...
28:59 Years of time have come and gone
29:03 Since I first heard it told
29:07 How Jesus would come again some day
29:16 If back then it seemed so real
29:20 Then I just can't help but feel
29:24 How much closer
29:27 His coming is today
29:32 Signs of the times are everywhere
29:40 There's a brand new feeling in the air
29:49 Keep your eyes upon the eastern sky
29:56 Lift up your heads
30:00 redemption draweth nigh
30:05 Piano...
30:10 Wars and strife on every hand
30:14 And violence fills our land
30:18 Still some people doubt He'll come again
30:27 But the Word of God is true
30:31 He'll redeem His chosen few
30:35 Don't lose hope
30:37 soon Christ Jesus will descend
30:43 And signs of the times are everywhere
30:51 There's a brand new feeling in the air
31:00 Keep your eyes upon the eastern sky
31:07 Lift up your head
31:11 Lift up your head...
31:15 Lift up your head
31:19 redemption draweth
31:24 nigh.
31:31 Hello and a special welcome to all of you
31:36 who may be watching online
31:37 as part of this Secrets Unsealed Summit.
31:40 My name is Melissa Laurel Alexander
31:42 and joining me here on the piano is my brother Rodney Laurel.
31:46 We live in Fresno, California
31:48 and have been singing and playing piano...
31:50 sharing songs about Jesus since we were quite young.
31:53 We are so happy to share with you now a few songs...
31:57 songs, I pray, of hope and encouragement
31:59 and especially of the precious hope we have...
32:02 the blessed hope of our Lord Jesus' soon return.
32:05 As we look around us in the world right now,
32:08 there is chaos and uncertainty to an even greater level,
32:13 perhaps than we have ever seen before
32:15 in the history of the world
32:16 and all of us in many ways have been affected.
32:20 This earth is ripe for the second coming of Jesus
32:23 and His judgment hour indeed is at hand.
32:27 The Bible tells us that men's...
32:29 people's hearts are failing them for fear...
32:32 fear for what is happening and what is to come
32:36 but, should we be fearful
32:38 if we're prepared to face what's coming and what that means?
32:42 And the real question we must all answer one day is,
32:46 "Are we ready for Jesus to come?"
32:49 Piano...
33:16 The theme of the Bible is Jesus,
33:24 And how He came to save men.
33:32 The plan of salvation assures us,
33:40 He's coming back again.
33:48 Are you ready for Jesus to come?
33:57 Are you faithful in all that you do?
34:04 Have you fought a good fight;
34:08 Have you stood for the right:
34:13 Have others seen Jesus in you.
34:20 Are you ready to stand in your place?
34:28 Are you ready to look on His face?
34:36 Can you look up and say,
34:40 "This is my Lord!"
34:46 Are you ready for Jesus to come?
34:55 Piano...
35:03 Don't cling to the world
35:07 and its treasures,
35:12 This earth will soon pass away
35:19 But give Him your heart
35:23 without measure,
35:27 He's coming back again.
35:35 Are you ready for Jesus to come?
35:44 Are you faithful in all that you do?
35:51 Have you fought a good fight;
35:54 Have you stood for the right;
35:58 Have others seen Jesus in you?
36:05 Are you ready to stand in your place?
36:13 Are you ready to look on His face?
36:20 Can you look up and say,
36:25 "This is my Lord!"
36:32 Are you ready for Jesus...
36:37 Are you ready for Jesus
36:42 Are you ready
36:45 for Jesus
36:48 to come?
36:53 Music...
37:01 There's a story you may know
37:03 in the book of Matthew
37:04 about 10 virgins.
37:06 They were all waiting for the bridegroom to come
37:10 so they could join the wedding party
37:12 and celebrate that he had come for his bride...
37:15 but as we know,
37:17 they all fell asleep while waiting
37:19 but at midnight, there was a cry...
37:21 "The bridegroom is coming, go out to meet him. "
37:24 Half of them were ready with their lamps burning bright
37:28 but half of them were not.
37:30 This story will be repeated at the end of time
37:33 and whether we are spiritually asleep or not,
37:37 the Bridegroom will come.
37:40 Piano.
38:13 I hear the sound
38:18 of a mighty rushing wind
38:25 And it's closer now
38:31 than it's ever been
38:38 I can almost hear the trumpet
38:44 As Gabriel sounds the call
38:51 At the midnight cry
38:56 we'll be going home
39:02 When Jesus steps out
39:07 On a cloud to call His children
39:13 The dead in Christ shall rise
39:18 to meet Him in the air
39:24 And then those that remain
39:30 Shall be quickly changed
39:36 At the midnight cry
39:41 When Jesus comes again
39:46 Piano...
40:03 I look around me
40:06 I see prophecies fulfilled
40:12 And signs of the times
40:17 they're appearing everywhere
40:23 I can almost hear the Father
40:29 As He says, "Son, go get your children... "
40:36 At the midnight cry
40:40 The bride of Christ shall rise
40:46 When Jesus steps out
40:52 on a cloud to call His children
40:57 The dead in Christ shall rise
41:03 to meet Him in the air
41:08 And then those that remain
41:13 Shall be quickly changed
41:19 At the midnight cry
41:24 When Jesus comes again
41:29 And then those that remain
41:36 Shall be quickly changed
41:43 At the midnight cry
41:46 When Jesus comes again
41:53 At the midnight cry
41:58 When Jesus comes again...
42:03 comes again.
42:12 Piano.
42:18 Yes, Jesus is coming very soon...
42:22 about to make His appearance on this earth
42:25 The first time He came
42:27 it was to establish His kingdom of grace
42:30 but when He comes the second time,
42:32 it will be to set up His eternal kingdom of glory
42:36 with those who've responded to His voice.
42:39 In Matthew 25:31 it says,
42:42 "When the Son of Man shall come in His glory,
42:45 and all the holy angels with Him,
42:47 then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory. "
42:51 Every eye shall see Him in all His majesty and splendor.
42:56 Piano...
43:13 Born of a mighty God
43:20 Sent from His heavenly throne
43:26 Given to reign over kings and priests
43:33 The sins of man to atone
43:40 The Messiah will return
43:47 The hour unknown to men
43:54 Of fanfare of praise
43:58 will inhabit the earth
44:01 As creation rejoices in Him
44:08 In majesty He will come
44:17 With the sound of the trumpet
44:20 To claim the redeemed
44:23 In majesty He will come
44:29 Jesus the Savior
44:32 eternal King
44:35 Every knee in heaven and earth will bow
44:41 To this most holy One
44:46 In majesty
44:52 He will come
44:59 Piano.
45:06 Clothed in His regal robes
45:13 Crowned in His sovereignty
45:19 A scepter of righteousness in His hand
45:26 Our Lord for eternity
45:33 His kingdom will have no end
45:40 For those who have known God's grace
45:47 The saints of all ages
45:50 will gather as one
45:53 To joyfully look on His face
46:02 In majesty He will come
46:09 With the sound of the trumpet
46:12 to claim the redeemed
46:15 In majesty He will come
46:21 Jesus the Savior
46:24 eternal King
46:27 Every knee in heaven and earth will bow
46:33 To this most holy One
46:39 In majesty He will come
46:49 He'll come in majesty
46:54 Worship His majesty...
46:59 Unto Jesus
47:03 Be all glory, honor and praise
47:10 Majesty...
47:15 Kingdom authority
47:19 Flows from His throne
47:22 unto His own
47:24 His anthem raise
47:29 In majesty
47:34 He will come
47:37 With the sound of the trumpet
47:39 to claim the redeemed
47:42 In majesty He will come
47:47 Jesus the Savior
47:50 eternal king
47:53 Every knee in heaven and earth will bow
47:58 To this most holy One
48:05 In majesty...
48:09 In majesty
48:16 He will come
48:24 He will come!
48:33 When Jesus come in all His glory
48:35 that will only be the beginning of the wonderful reunion
48:39 of our Lord and Savior with His children
48:42 when we all get to heaven
48:43 and after the millennium,
48:45 God will descend from heaven down to earth
48:47 and make His dwelling here with us
48:49 a literal heaven on earth.
48:51 John the Revelator wrote about this
48:54 when he said in Revelation 21 verse 22,
48:57 "I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,
49:00 coming down from God out of heaven,
49:02 prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. "
49:05 What a glorious vision that must have been
49:09 of the City of God coming down to this earth!
49:13 Pause.
49:16 Piano...
49:25 Last night I lay asleeping
49:29 There came a dream so fair,
49:33 I stood in old Jerusalem
49:37 Beside the temple there
49:40 I heard the children singing
49:44 And ever as they sang,
49:48 Methought the voice of Angels
49:52 From Heaven in answer rang
49:55 Methought the voice of Angels
50:02 From Heaven in answer rang
50:08 "Jerusalem, Jerusalem!
50:16 Lift up you gates and sing,
50:21 Hosanna in the highest
50:27 Hosanna to your King!"
50:33 Piano...
50:47 And then methought my dream was changed
50:51 The streets no longer rang
50:54 Hushed were the glad Hosannas
50:58 The little children sang
51:02 The night grew dark with mystery,
51:05 The morn was cold and chill
51:09 As the shadow of a cross arose
51:13 Upon a lonely hill
51:17 As the shadow of a cross arose
51:23 Upon a lonely hill
51:29 "Jerusalem, Jerusalem!
51:37 Hark! how the Angels sing,
51:42 Hosanna in the highest,
51:48 Hosanna to your King!"
51:55 Piano...
52:08 And once again the scene was changed
52:12 New earth there seemed to be
52:17 I saw the Holy City
52:21 Beside the tideless sea
52:25 The light of God was on its streets
52:29 The gates were open wide,
52:35 And all who would might enter
52:41 And no one was denied.
52:47 No need of moon or stars by night,
52:53 Or sun to shine by day,
52:59 It was the new Jerusalem
53:05 That would not pass away
53:11 It was the new Jerusalem
53:18 That would not pass away
53:25 "Jerusalem! Jerusalem
53:32 Sing for the night is o'er
53:37 Hosanna in the highest
53:43 Hosanna for evermore!"
53:49 Hosanna in the highest
53:58 Hosanna
54:03 for evermore!"
54:11 Piano.
54:16 I'm looking forward and I hope you are too
54:20 to a time... a wondrous time
54:23 when there will be no more sorrow...
54:26 sickness... pandemics... death...
54:29 tears... a time of no more night.
54:32 In that bright city and in that land of light,
54:35 we will praise God forever for His wondrous love
54:39 and for saving us to live with Him forevermore.
54:42 Piano...
55:07 The timeless theme,
55:10 Earth and Heaven will pass away
55:17 It's not a dream,
55:19 God will make all things new that day
55:27 Gone is the curse
55:30 from which I stumbled and fell
55:36 Evil is banished
55:40 to eternal hell
55:47 No more night,
55:52 no more pain
55:56 No more tears,
56:00 never crying again
56:05 praises to the great "I AM"
56:13 We will live in the light
56:17 of the risen Lamb
56:23 Piano...
56:28 See all around,
56:30 how the nations bow down to sing
56:37 The only sound
56:39 is the praises to Christ, our King
56:47 Slowly the names
56:51 from the book are read
56:56 I know the King,
56:59 there is no need to dread
57:07 No more night,
57:10 no more pain
57:15 No more tears,
57:19 never crying again
57:23 Praises to the great "I AM"
57:31 We will live in the light
57:35 of the risen Lamb
57:41 See over there,
57:44 there's a mansion prepared for me
57:49 Where I will live with my Savior
57:54 eternally
58:00 No more night,
58:04 no more pain
58:08 No more tears,
58:12 never crying again
58:16 Praises to
58:20 the great "I AM"
58:24 We will live in the light
58:28 of the risen Lamb
58:33 We will live in the light
58:36 We will live in the light...
58:40 We will live in the light
58:45 of the risen
58:50 Lamb.
