00:17 Hello, and welcome back to His Words are Life.
00:19 I'm Kelly Mowrer, and thank you for joining with me today. 00:23 Before we read together, let's pray. 00:25 Dear Jesus, we are coming today to read your book, Revelation 00:31 of you, the revelation of Jesus Christ. And not everything that 00:36 we read is maybe going to be completely clearly understood. 00:40 But there is a few things that we see woven throughout 00:45 these pages that we want to make a part of our lives. We 00:49 read over and over again of how you are worshiped unceasingly 00:54 in heaven, and how to you alone is the kingdom and the power 00:58 and the authority, the glory forever and ever. 01:00 We want you to be the Lord of our lives, glorified and on the 01:05 throne of our hearts above all things, ruling over all of our 01:09 affairs just as you do in heaven. Please open our hearts 01:12 and our minds now as we read; that we may understand 01:15 the revelation of you and become more like you because of it. 01:19 We love you so much and thank you for loving us. Amen 01:22 Again, we're reading today from the book of Revelation. 01:25 We're in chapter 11 and when we were last reading, we were 01:29 reading about the olive trees, the candlesticks, the - 01:34 were written in chapter 11, that was in verse 4. 01:37 We're going to pick up now in verse 6, speaking about them - 01:41 continuing to speak of them and this is the King James Version. 01:44 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of 01:50 their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to 01:53 blood and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as 01:57 they will. And when they shall have finished their testimony, 02:01 the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make 02:06 war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. 02:11 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, 02:15 which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, 02:19 where also our Lord was crucified. 02:22 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations 02:26 shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, 02:29 and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. 02:34 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, 02:37 and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because 02:41 these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. 02:44 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God 02:49 entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; 02:52 and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 02:55 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, 02:58 Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven 03:01 in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. And the same hour 03:06 was their a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city 03:09 fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men 7,000: 03:14 and the remnant were affrighted and gave glory to the God of 03:17 heaven. The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe 03:23 cometh quickly. And the 7th angel sounded; and there were 03:27 great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world 03:30 are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; 03:34 and he shall reign for ever and ever. And the four and twenty 03:39 elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their 03:42 faces, and worshipped God, saying, We give the thanks, 03:46 O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; 03:51 because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast 03:55 reigned. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, 03:59 and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, 04:01 and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants 04:04 the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, 04:08 small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy 04:12 the earth. And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there 04:16 was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were 04:19 lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, 04:23 and great hail. We're continuing to read 04:26 in Revelation, chapter 12 and it's the King James Version. 04:30 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman 04:35 clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon 04:39 her head a crown of 12 stars: And she being with child cried, 04:44 travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there 04:48 appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great 04:51 red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns 04:56 upon his heads and his tail drew the third part of the stars of 05:01 heaven and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood 05:04 before the woman which was ready to be delivered, 05:07 for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought 05:12 forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod 05:15 of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, 05:19 and to his throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, 05:23 where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed 05:27 her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. 05:29 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought 05:34 against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 05:38 and prevailed not; neither was there place found any more in 05:43 heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, 05:47 called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: 05:51 he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out 05:54 with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, 05:58 Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom 06:03 of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our 06:08 brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God 06:11 day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of 06:16 the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved 06:20 not their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, 06:26 and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth 06:29 and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having 06:33 great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. 06:37 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, 06:41 he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. 06:44 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she 06:48 might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is 06:52 nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face 06:57 of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water 07:02 as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be 07:06 carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, 07:10 and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which 07:14 the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was wroth 07:18 with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed 07:22 which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony 07:26 of Jesus Christ. Continuing to read in 07:30 the book of Revelation, beginning with chapter 13, 07:32 This is the King James Version. 07:35 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out 07:41 of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his 07:46 horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 07:50 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard and his feet 07:55 which were as the feet of a bear and his mouth as the mouth of a 07:59 lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, 08:03 and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were 08:07 wounded to death; and his d eadly wound was healed: 08:11 and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped 08:16 the dragon which gave power unto the beast, 08:18 and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the 08:21 beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given 08:25 unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; 08:30 and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 08:34 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, 08:38 to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that 08:41 dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war 08:45 with the saints and to overcome them: and power was given him 08:49 over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell 08:54 upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written 08:57 in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the 09:00 world. If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth 09:06 into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth 09:10 with the sword must be killed with the sword. 09:13 Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. 09:17 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; 09:21 and he had two horns like a lamb and he spake as a dragon. 09:25 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast 09:28 before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell 09:32 therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound 09:35 was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire 09:40 come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 09:43 and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of 09:47 those miracles which he had power to do in the sight 09:51 of the beast; saying to them which that dwell on the earth 09:54 that they should make an image to the beast which had the wound 09:57 by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life 10:02 unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast 10:05 should both speak, and cause that as many as would not 10:09 worship the image of the beast should be killed. 10:12 and he causeth all, both small and great, 10:16 rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark 10:21 in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might 10:25 buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the 10:29 beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. 10:32 Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: 10:37 for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred 10:42 threescore and six. 10:44 Continuing to read. This is the King James Version, 10:48 the book of Revelation, chapter fourteen. 10:51 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, 10:57 and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his 11:01 Father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice 11:05 from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice 11:08 of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping 11:13 with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the 11:17 throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: 11:20 and no man could learn that song but the hundred and 11:23 forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. 11:26 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are 11:31 virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever 11:36 he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the first 11:40 fruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no 11:45 guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. 11:49 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the 11:55 everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the 11:58 earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 12:01 saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; 12:05 for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that 12:09 made heaven, and earth, and the sea and the fountains of waters. 12:13 And there followed another angel saying, Babylon is fallen, 12:18 is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations 12:22 drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. 12:25 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, 12:29 If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark 12:33 in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine 12:37 of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture 12:40 into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented 12:44 with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, 12:47 and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment 12:50 ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor 12:55 night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever 12:59 receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the 13:03 saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, 13:07 and the faith of Jesus. And I heard a voice from heaven saying 13:11 unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord 13:16 from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from 13:21 their labors; and their works do follow them. And I looked 13:26 and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat 13:30 like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, 13:35 and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out 13:39 of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on 13:42 the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come 13:47 for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 13:51 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the 13:55 earth; and the earth was reaped. And another angel came out of 13:59 the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. 14:03 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over 14:07 fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp 14:11 sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather 14:15 the clusters of the vine of the earth for their grapes are fully 14:19 ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, 14:23 and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the 14:27 great winepress of the wrath of God. 14:29 Thank you for reading with me today. Please join me 14:33 again next time. Goodbye. |
