00:16 Hi and welcome back to His Words Are Life.
00:18 I'm Kelly Mowrer, and thank you
00:20 for joining with me today
00:21 to read the Word of God.
00:23 When we were last together we were reading in Exodus about
00:25 the instructions that the Lord is giving to Moses
00:28 in building the sanctuary. And I was really touched
00:31 when we were reading together about where God came to
00:35 to meet with the people, specifically came to commune
00:37 with them, He came to the mercy seat.
00:39 He gave Moses the instructions to build the ark,
00:42 and to make the mercy seat on it and He said "and that's where
00:45 I will meet you and where I will commune with you. "
00:47 And if anybody watching right now wants to meet and commune
00:51 with God but there are things in your life that make you feel
00:55 unworthy and cut off and like, maybe, God may not
01:01 be too interested in meeting with you,
01:02 remember that as far back as the Old Testament with the
01:06 Israelites He said: "I will meet with you at the mercy seat. "
01:09 That's where each of us... and that's only where
01:11 each of us can meet with God.
01:12 Let's go and pray together before we start reading again.
01:14 Dear God, thank you so much for Your mercy.
01:17 Thank you that in Your love for us that we don't deserve
01:22 and we don't even understand, You have made provision
01:25 for us to come and meet with You. Not at a place of judgment,
01:28 not at a place of condemnation, but a place of mercy.
01:32 And that's where we want to be with You - always.
01:35 And that's what we need so desperately.
01:36 Come now and be with us especially as we read Your
01:39 words and write Your law in our heart,
01:41 and may these words bear fruit to Your glory.
01:43 We love You so much. Thank you for loving us. Amen.
01:47 We are reading in the book of Exodus
01:49 and we're in chapter 25 and picking up with verse 23.
01:54 And this is the King James version.
01:56 Thou shalt also make a table of shittim wood:
02:00 two cubits shall be the length thereof,
02:02 and a cubit the breadth thereof,
02:04 and a cubit and a half the height thereof.
02:06 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold,
02:08 and make thereto a crown of gold round about.
02:12 And thou shalt make unto it a border of a handbreadth
02:15 round about, and thou shalt make a golden crown to the border
02:18 thereof round about. And thou shalt make for it
02:22 four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners
02:25 that are on the four feet thereof.
02:27 Over against the border shall the rings be for places of
02:32 the staves to bear the table.
02:34 And thou shalt make the staves of shittim wood, and overlay
02:38 them with gold, that the table may be borne with them.
02:41 And thou shalt make the dishes thereof,
02:44 and spoons thereof, and covers thereof, and bowls thereof,
02:48 to cover withal: of pure gold shalt thou make them.
02:52 And thou shalt set upon the table showbread
02:55 before Me always.
02:58 And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold:
03:00 of beaten work shall the candlestick be made:
03:03 his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops,
03:07 and his flowers, shall be of the same.
03:10 And six branches shall come out of the sides of it;
03:13 three branches of the candlestick out of the one side,
03:16 and three branches of the candlestick
03:18 out of the other side.
03:20 Three bowls made like unto almonds with a knop and a flower
03:24 in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds
03:29 in the other branch, with a knop and a flower:
03:31 so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick.
03:35 And in the candlestick shall be four bowls made like unto
03:40 almonds, with their knops and their flowers.
03:43 And there shall be a knop under two branches of the same,
03:46 and a knop under two branches of the same,
03:49 and a knop under two branches of the same, according to
03:52 the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick.
03:54 Their knops and their branches shall be of the same:
03:58 all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold.
04:02 And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof:
04:06 and they shall light the lamps thereof that they may
04:08 give light over against it.
04:10 And the tongs thereof, and the snuff dishes thereof,
04:13 shall be of pure gold.
04:15 Of a talent of pure gold shall he make it,
04:19 with all these vessels.
04:20 And look that thou make them after their pattern,
04:23 which was showed thee in the mount.

04:47 and the breadth of one curtain four cubits:
04:49 and every one of the curtains shall have one measure.

05:11 Fifty loops shalt thou make in the one curtain,
05:14 and fifty loops shalt thou make in the edge of the curtain
05:17 that is in the coupling of the second;

06:18 the half curtain that remaineth, shalt hang over the backside
06:21 of the tabernacle. And a cubit on the one side,

08:41 And thou shalt hang up the veil under the taches,
08:44 that thou mayest bring in thither within the veil
08:47 the ark of the testimony:
08:50 and the veil shall divide unto you between the holy place
08:53 and the most holy. And thou shalt put the mercy seat
08:57 upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.

12:18 which is before the testimony,
12:19 Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning
12:23 before the Lord: it shall be a statute for ever unto
12:26 their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.
12:31 Continuing with chapter 28 in the book of Exodus.
12:34 This is the King James version.
12:36 And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother,
12:40 and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel,
12:44 that he may minister unto Me in the priest's office,
12:47 even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar,
12:52 Aaron's sons. And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron
12:55 thy brother for glory and for beauty.
12:58 And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted,
13:02 whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom,
13:05 that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him,
13:08 that he may minister unto Me in the priest's office.
13:12 And these are the garments which they shall make;
13:15 a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and an embroidered
13:20 coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments
13:24 for Aaron thy brother, and his sons,
13:26 that he may minister unto Me in the priest's office.
13:30 And they shall take gold and blue, and purple, and scarlet,
13:34 and fine linen. And they shall make the ephod of gold,
13:37 of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen,
13:41 with cunning work.
13:43 It shall have the two shoulder pieces thereof
13:45 joined at the two edges thereof;
13:47 and so it shall be joined together.
13:49 And the curious girdle of the ephod, which is upon it,
13:53 shall be of the same, according to the work thereof;
13:55 even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet,
13:58 and fine twined linen. And thou shalt take two onyx stones,
14:02 and grave on them the names of the children of Israel.
14:07 Six of their names on one stone,
14:09 and the other six names of the rest on the other stone,
14:12 according to their birth.
14:15 With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings
14:19 of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names
14:22 of the children of Israel:
14:24 thou shalt make them to be set in ouches of gold.
14:28 And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of
14:31 the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel:
14:35 and Aaron shall bear their names before the Lord...
