00:19 I'm Kelly Mowrer, and thank you 00:21 for joining with me today to 00:22 read the Word of God. 00:23 Before we start, let's pray together. 00:25 Dear Jesus, thank you so much for this opportunity to 00:30 sit in Your presence and listen to You speak to us. 00:34 Down through all these years You have preserved these words 00:37 and now here we have come in this time to listen to them. 00:42 May they be seeds that are sown into a willing heart, 00:47 and may they not just fall on the ground but may they 00:50 grow and bear fruit to Your glory. 00:52 We love you so much, and thank you for loving us. Amen. 00:56 We are reading today from the book of Leviticus. 00:59 And we are starting with chapter 1. 01:01 This is the King James version. 01:03 And the Lord called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the 01:07 tabernacle of the congregation, saying, 01:09 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, 01:12 If any man of you bring an offering unto the Lord, 01:15 ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, 01:18 and of the flock. If his offering be a burnt sacrifice 01:22 of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: 01:25 he shall offer it of his own voluntary will 01:29 at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation 01:32 before the Lord. And he shall put his hand upon the head 01:35 of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him 01:39 to make atonement for him. 01:41 And he shall kill the bullock before the Lord: 01:44 and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall bring the blood, 01:47 and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar 01:49 that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 01:53 And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into his 01:56 pieces. And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon 02:00 the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire: 02:03 And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall lay the parts, 02:07 the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is 02:11 on the fire which is upon the altar. 02:13 But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: 02:17 and the priest shall burn all on the altar, 02:20 to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, 02:24 of a sweet savor unto the Lord. 02:26 And if his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the sheep, 02:31 or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring it 02:34 a male without blemish. 02:36 And he shall kill it on the side of the altar northward 02:39 before the Lord: and the priests, Aaron's sons, 02:43 shall sprinkle his blood round about upon the altar. 02:45 And he shall cut it into his pieces, with his head and his 02:49 fat: and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood 02:53 that is on the fire which is upon the altar. 02:55 But he shall wash the inwards and the legs with water: 02:58 and the priest shall bring it all, and burn it upon the altar: 03:02 it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, 03:07 of a sweet savor unto the Lord. 03:09 and if the burnt sacrifice for his offering to the Lord 03:12 be of fowls, then he shall bring his offering of turtledoves, 03:16 or of young pigeons. And the priest shall bring it unto the 03:19 altar, and wring off his head, and burn it on the altar; 03:22 and the blood thereof shall be wrung out at the side of the 03:25 altar: And he shall pluck away his crop with his feathers, 03:29 and cast it beside the altar on the east part, 03:32 by the place of the ashes: 03:33 And he shall cleave it with the wings thereof, but shall not 03:36 divide it asunder: and the priest shall burn it 03:40 upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire: 03:43 it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, 03:47 of a sweet savor unto the Lord. 03:50 Continuing with chapter 2 of the book of Leviticus. 03:54 And this is the King James version. 03:56 And when any will offer a meat offering unto the Lord, 04:00 his offering shall be of fine flour; 04:03 and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense thereon: 04:07 And he shall bring it to Aaron's sons the priests: 04:10 and he shall take thereout his handful of the flour thereof, 04:13 and of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof; 04:16 and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar, 04:19 to be an offering made by fire of a sweet savor unto the Lord. 04:24 And the remnant of the meat offering shall be Aaron's 04:27 and his sons': it is a thing most holy of the offerings 04:31 of the Lord made by fire. 04:33 And if thou bring an oblation of a meat offering baked in the 04:37 oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mingled with 04:41 oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil. 04:44 And if thy oblation be a meat offering baked in a pan, 04:47 it shall be of fine flour unleavened, mingled with oil. 04:51 Thou shalt part it in pieces, and pour oil thereon: 04:54 it is a meat offering. 04:56 And if thy oblation be a meat offering baked in the frying pan 04:59 it shall be made of fine flour with oil. 05:02 And thou shalt bring the meat offering that is made of these 05:04 things unto the Lord: and when it is presented 05:07 unto the priest, he shall bring it unto the altar. 05:10 And the priest shall take from the meat offering a memorial 05:13 thereof, and shall burn it upon the altar: 05:16 it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the Lord. 05:21 And that which is left of the meat offering shall be Aaron's 05:25 and his sons': it is a thing most holy of the offerings 05:28 of the Lord made by fire. 05:30 No meat offering, which ye shall bring unto the Lord, 05:34 shall be made with leaven: for ye shall burn no leaven, 05:37 nor any honey, in any offering of the Lord made by fire. 05:42 As for the oblation of the first fruits, 05:45 ye shall offer them unto the Lord: but they shall not be 05:47 burnt on the altar for a sweet savor. 05:49 And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season 05:54 with salt; neither shall thou suffer the salt of the covenant 05:57 of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: 06:00 with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt. 06:05 And if thou offer a meat offering of thy first fruits 06:07 unto the Lord, thou shalt offer for the meat offering of thy 06:11 first fruits green ears of corn dried by the fire, 06:15 even corn beaten out of full ears. 06:18 And thou shalt put oil upon it, and lay frankincense thereon: 06:23 it is a meat offering. 06:25 And the priest shall burn the memorial of it, 06:28 part of the beaten corn thereof, and part of the oil thereof, 06:30 with all the frankincense thereof: 06:32 it is an offering made by fire unto the Lord. 06:36 We're continuing with the book of Leviticus, 06:39 chapter 3, and this is the King James version. 06:41 And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, 06:47 if he offer it of the herd: whether it be a male or female, 06:51 he shall offer it without blemish before the Lord. 06:54 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, 06:57 and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: 07:00 and Aaron's sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood 07:03 upon the altar round about. 07:05 And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering 07:09 an offering made by fire unto the Lord: 07:12 the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is 07:15 upon the inwards, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on 07:19 them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, 07:22 with the kidneys, it shall be taken away. 07:25 And Aaron's sons shall burn it on the alter upon the burnt 07:28 sacrifice, which is upon the wood that is on the fire: 07:31 it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the Lord. 07:37 And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering 07:40 unto the Lord be of the flock; male or female, 07:42 he shall offer it without blemish. 07:45 If he offer a lamb for his offering, then shall he offer it 07:49 before the Lord. And he shall lay his hand upon the head of 07:52 his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of the 07:54 congregation: and Aaron's sons shall sprinkle the blood thereof 07:58 round about upon the altar. 08:00 And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering 08:04 an offering made by fire unto the Lord: 08:07 the fat thereof, and the whole rump, it shall he take off 08:11 hard by the backbone; and the fat that covereth the inwards, 08:15 and all the fat that is upon the inwards, And the two kidneys, 08:17 and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, 08:20 and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys it shall he 08:24 take away. And the priest shall burn it upon the altar: 08:27 it is the food of the offering made by fire unto the Lord. 08:31 And if his offering be a goat, then he shall offer it before 08:34 the Lord. And he shall lay his hand upon the head of it, 08:37 and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: 08:39 and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle the blood thereof 08:42 upon the altar round about. 08:44 And he shall offer thereof his offering, even an offering 08:48 made by fire unto the Lord: the fat that covereth the 08:51 inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards, 08:54 And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, 08:57 which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, 08:59 with the kidneys, it shall he take away. 09:01 And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: 09:04 it is the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savor: 09:09 all the fat is the Lord's. 09:12 It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations 09:15 throughout all your dwellings, 09:17 that ye eat neither fat nor blood. 09:20 We are continuing in the book of Leviticus with chapter 4. 09:26 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 09:28 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, 09:30 If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the 09:34 commandments of the Lord, concerning things which ought 09:36 not to be done, and shall do against any of them: 09:39 If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of 09:44 the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath 09:48 sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the Lord 09:51 for a sin offering. And he shall bring the bullock 09:54 unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation 09:56 before the Lord; and shall lay his hand upon the bullock's head 10:00 and kill the bullock before the Lord. And the priest that is 10:03 anointed shall take of the bullock's blood, 10:05 and bring it to the tabernacle of the congregation: 10:09 And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, 10:12 and sprinkle of the blood seven times before the Lord, 10:16 before the veil of the sanctuary. 10:18 And the priest shall put some of the blood upon the horns 10:21 of the altar of sweet incense before the Lord, 10:24 which is in the tabernacle of the congregation; 10:27 and shall pour all the blood of the bullock at the bottom 10:30 of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door 10:32 of the tabernacle of the congregation. 10:34 He shall take off from it all of the fat of the bullock 10:38 for the sin offering; the fat that covereth the inwards, 10:41 and all the fat that is upon the inwards, 10:43 And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, 10:45 which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, 10:49 with the kidneys, it shall he take away. 10:51 As it was taken off from the bullock of the sacrifice 10:54 of the peace offerings: and the priest shall burn them 10:56 upon the altar of the burnt offering. 10:58 And the skin of the bullock, and all his flesh, 11:01 with his head, and with his legs, and his inwards, 11:03 and his dung, Even the whole bullock shall he carry forth 11:06 without the camp unto a clean place, where the ashes are 11:09 poured out, and burn him on the wood with fire: where the 11:13 ashes are poured out shall he be burnt. 11:15 And if the whole congregation of Israel sin through ignorance, 11:19 and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, 11:22 and they have done somewhat against any of the commandments 11:25 of the Lord concerning things which should not be done, 11:28 and are guilty; When the sin, which they have sinned 11:31 against it, is known, then the congregation shall offer 11:35 a young bullock for the sin, and bring him before the 11:38 tabernacle of the congregation. 11:39 And the elders of the congregation shall lay their 11:42 hands upon the head of the bullock before the Lord: 11:45 and the bullock shall be killed before the Lord. 11:48 And the priest that is anointed shall bring of the bullock's 11:52 blood to the tabernacle of the congregation: 11:54 And the priest shall dip his finger in some of the blood, 11:57 and sprinkle it seven times before the Lord, 11:59 even before the veil. 12:01 And he shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the 12:04 altar which is before the Lord, that is in the tabernacle 12:07 of the congregation, and shall pour out all the blood 12:10 at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, 12:12 which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 12:15 And he shall take all his fat from him, and burn it 12:18 upon the altar. And he shall do with the bullock as he did 12:21 with the bullock for a sin offering, so shall he do with 12:24 this: and the priest shall make an atonement for them, 12:26 and it shall be forgiven them. 12:29 And he shall carry forth the bullock without the camp, 12:32 and burn him as he burned the first bullock: 12:34 it is a sin offering for the congregation. 12:37 When a ruler hath sinned, and done somewhat through ignorance 12:42 against any of the commandments of the Lord his God 12:44 concerning things that should not be done, and is guilty; 12:47 Or if his sin, wherein he hath sinned, come to his knowledge; 12:53 he shall bring his offering, a kid of goats, 12:56 a male without blemish: 12:58 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, 13:01 and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering 13:04 before the Lord: it is a sin offering. 13:07 And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering 13:10 with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar 13:13 of burnt offering, and shall pour out his blood at the bottom 13:16 of the altar of burnt offering. 13:18 And he shall burn all his fat upon the altar, as the fat 13:21 of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest shall 13:24 make an atonement for him as concerning his sin, 13:27 and it shall be forgiven him. 13:30 And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, 13:34 while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of the 13:37 Lord concerning things which ought not to be done, 13:40 and be guilty; Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, 13:44 come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, 13:48 a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin 13:52 which he hath sinned. And he shall lay his hand 13:55 upon the head of the sin offering, and slay the sin 13:57 offering in the place of the burnt offering. 13:59 And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, 14:02 and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, 14:05 and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the 14:09 altar.
