00:15 Hello and welcome back to "His Words Are Life".
00:17 I am Kelly Mower and thank you for 00:19 joining with me today to read the Bible together. 00:21 In all of the reading that we have done so far, 00:25 so many times as we've began, we've prayed 00:28 and we've spoken about how the word of God 00:31 is a guide to us is a lamp on our path 00:34 and we use that version of Bible and that's 00:36 what we are going to open with today 00:38 is the verse that we have prayed so many times. 00:40 Let's talk to God again before we start reading. 00:44 Oh heavenly Father, thank you for your word. 00:48 Please be with us now as we read it. 00:50 We love you so much, thank you for loving us. Amen. 00:55 Psalm 119: verse 105: Thy word is a lamp 01:01 unto my feet, and a light unto my path. 01:06 I have sworn, and I will perform it, 01:08 that I will keep thy righteous judgments. 01:11 I am afflicted very much: quicken me, 01:14 O Lord, according unto thy word. 01:17 Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings 01:21 of my mouth, O Lord, and teach me thy judgments. 01:25 My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not 01:28 forget thy law. The wicked have laid 01:32 a snare for me: yet I erred not from 01:34 thy precepts. Thy testimonies have 01:37 I taken as an heritage for ever: 01:40 for they are the rejoicing of my heart. 01:43 I have inclined mine heart to perform 01:46 thy statutes alway, even unto the end. 01:51 I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love. 01:56 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: 02:00 I hope in thy word. Depart from me, 02:05 ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments 02:09 of my God. Uphold me according unto thy word, 02:14 that I may live: and let me not be ashamed 02:18 of my hope. Hold thou me up, 02:22 and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto 02:25 thy statutes continually. Thou hast trodden down 02:29 all them that err from thy statutes: 02:32 for their deceit is falsehood. 02:34 Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth 02:37 like dross: therefore I love thy testimonies. 02:41 My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; 02:45 and I am afraid of thy judgments. 02:47 I have done judgment and justice: 02:49 leave me not to mine oppressors. 02:53 Be surety for thy servant for good, 02:56 let not the proud oppress me. 02:59 Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, 03:01 and for the word of thy righteousness. 03:03 Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, 03:07 teach me thy statutes. I am thy servant; 03:10 give me understanding, that I may know 03:13 thy testimonies. It is time for thee, Lord, 03:17 to work: for they have made void thy law. 03:20 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; 03:24 yea, above fine gold. Therefore I esteem all thy 03:29 precepts concerning all things to be right; 03:33 and I hate every false way. 03:36 Thy testimonies are wonderful; therefore doth 03:39 my soul keep them. The entrance of thy words 03:44 giveth light; giveth understanding unto 03:47 the simple. I opened my mouth, and panted: 03:50 for I longed for thy commandments. 03:52 Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, 03:55 as thou usest to do unto those that love 03:58 thy name. Order my steps in thy word: 04:01 and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. 04:06 Deliver me from the oppression of man: 04:08 so will I keep thy precepts. 04:11 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; 04:14 and teach me thy statutes. 04:16 Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, 04:19 because they keep not thy law. 04:21 Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright 04:25 are thy judgments. Thy testimonies that thou 04:28 hast commanded are righteous 04:29 and very faithful. My zeal hath consumed me, 04:33 because mine enemies have forgotten thy words. 04:36 Thy word is very pure; 04:38 therefore thy servant loveth it. 04:42 I am small and despised: yet do I not forget 04:46 thy precepts. Thy righteousness is an 04:50 everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth. 04:55 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: 04:57 yet thy commandments are my delights. 05:00 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: 05:04 give me understanding, and I shall live. 05:08 I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: 05:12 I will keep thy statutes. I cried unto thee; 05:15 save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies. 05:18 I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: 05:21 I hoped in thy word. 05:24 Mine eyes prevent the night watches, 05:26 that I might meditate in thy word. 05:30 Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: 05:33 O Lord, quicken me according to thy judgment. 05:38 They draw nigh that follow after mischief: 05:41 they are far from thy law. 05:44 Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy commandments 05:47 are truth. Concerning thy testimonies, 05:50 I have known of old that thou hast founded 05:53 them for ever. Consider mine affliction, 05:58 and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law. 06:03 Plead my cause, and deliver me: 06:05 quicken me according to thy word. 06:08 Salvation is far from the wicked: 06:10 for they seek not thy statutes. 06:12 Great are thy tender mercies, O Lord: 06:16 quicken me according to thy judgments. 06:20 Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; 06:23 yet do I not decline from thy testimonies. 06:26 I beheld the transgressors 06:28 and was grieved; because they kept not thy word. 06:32 Consider how I love thy precepts: 06:35 quicken me, O Lord, according to thy 06:37 loving kindness. Thy word is true from 06:41 the beginning: and every one of thy righteous 06:44 judgments endureth for ever. 06:47 Princes have persecuted me without a cause: 06:50 but my heart standeth in awe of thy word. 06:53 I rejoice at thy word, 06:54 as one that findeth great spoil. 06:58 I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love. 07:04 Seven times a day do I praise thee because 07:07 of thy righteous judgments. 07:10 Great peace have they which love thy law: 07:14 and nothing shall offend them. 07:17 LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, 07:19 and done thy commandments. 07:21 My soul hath kept thy testimonies; 07:24 and I love them exceedingly. 07:26 I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: 07:29 for all my ways are before thee. 07:31 Let my cry come near before thee, O Lord: 07:34 give me understanding according to thy word. 07:38 Let my supplication come before thee: 07:40 deliver me according to thy word. 07:43 My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me 07:46 thy statutes. My tongue shall speak of thy word: 07:48 for all thy commandments are righteousness. 07:51 Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen 07:54 thy precepts. I have longed for 07:57 thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my delight. 08:01 Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; 08:03 and let thy judgments help me. 08:05 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; 08:09 seek thy servant; for I do not forget 08:12 thy commandments. This is Psalm 120, 08:16 the King James Version. In my distress I cried 08:21 unto the Lord, and he heard me. 08:24 Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, 08:27 and from a deceitful tongue. 08:30 What shall be given unto thee? 08:31 or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue? 08:35 Sharp arrows of the mighty, 08:37 with coals of juniper. Woe is me, 08:40 that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents 08:45 of Kedar! My soul hath long dwelt with him 08:49 that hateth peace. I am for peace: 08:53 but when I speak, they are for war. 08:58 Psalm 121: This is the King James Version, 09:03 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, 09:06 from whence cometh my help. 09:08 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven 09:11 and earth. He will not suffer thy foot 09:13 to be moved: he that keepeth thee will 09:16 not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall 09:20 neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: 09:25 the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. 09:28 The sun shall not smite thee by day, 09:30 nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve 09:34 thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 09:38 The Lord shall preserve thy going out 09:40 and thy coming in from this time forth, 09:43 and even for evermore. 09:47 Psalm 122: This is the King James Version. 09:50 I was glad when they said unto me; 09:53 Let us go into the house of the Lord. 09:55 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem. 09:59 Jerusalem is builded as a city that 10:01 is compact together: Whither the tribes go up, 10:04 the tribes of the Lord, unto the testimony 10:07 of Israel, to give thanks unto the name 10:08 of the Lord. For there are set thrones of judgment, 10:12 the thrones of the house of David. 10:15 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: 10:17 they shall prosper that love thee. 10:19 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within 10:22 thy palaces. For my brethren 10:24 and companions' sakes, I will now say, 10:26 Peace be within thee. Because of the house 10:30 of the Lord our God I will seek thy good. 10:35 Psalm 123: This is the King James Version. 10:40 Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, 10:43 O thou that dwellest in the heavens. 10:47 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the 10:50 hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden 10:54 unto the hand of her mistress; 10:57 so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, 11:00 until that he have mercy upon us. 11:04 Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: 11:07 for we are exceedingly filled with contempt. 11:10 Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning 11:13 of those that are at ease, 11:15 and with the contempt of the proud. 11:19 Psalm 124: This is the King James Version. 11:24 If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, 11:27 now may Israel say; If it had not been the Lord 11:31 who was on our side, when men rose up against us: 11:35 Then they had swallowed us up quick, 11:38 when their wrath was kindled against us: 11:41 Then the waters had overwhelmed us, 11:43 the stream had gone over our soul: 11:45 Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. 11:48 Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us 11:51 as a prey to their teeth. Our soul is escaped 11:55 as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: 11:58 the snare is broken, and we are escaped. 12:01 Our help is in the name of the Lord, 12:04 who made heaven and earth. 12:08 Psalm 125: This is the King James Version. 12:12 They that trust in the Lord shall be 12:14 as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, 12:17 but abideth forever. As the mountains 12:20 are round about Jerusalem, 12:22 so the Lord is round about his people from 12:25 henceforth even forever. For the rod of the wicked 12:29 shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; 12:31 lest the righteous put forth their hands 12:33 unto iniquity. Do good, O Lord, unto those 12:38 that be good, and to them that are upright 12:40 in their hearts. As for such as turn aside 12:43 unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them 12:45 forth with the workers of iniquity: 12:47 but peace shall be upon Israel. 12:51 Psalm 126: When the Lord turned again the 12:56 captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. 12:59 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, 13:01 and our tongue with singing: 13:03 then said they among the heathen, 13:05 The Lord hath done great things for them. 13:08 The Lord hath done great things for us; 13:10 whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, 13:14 O Lord, as the streams in the south. 13:18 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. 13:23 He that goeth forth and weepeth, 13:26 bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again 13:30 with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. 13:34 Psalm 127: Except the Lord build the house, 13:40 they labour in vain that build it: 13:43 except the Lord keep the city, the watchman 13:45 waketh but in vain. It is vain for you 13:48 to rise up early, to sit up late, 13:50 to eat the bread of sorrows: 13:52 for so he giveth his beloved sleep. 13:55 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: 13:58 and the fruit of the womb is his reward. 14:00 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; 14:04 so are children of the youth. 14:06 Happy is the man that hath his quiver 14:09 full of them: they shall not be ashamed, 14:11 but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. 14:15 Psalm 128: Blessed is every one that 14:19 feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. 14:23 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: 14:25 happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. 14:30 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine 14:32 by the sides of thine house: thy children like 14:35 olive plants round about thy table. |
