00:16 Hello and welcome to "His Words Are Life".
00:18 I am Kelly Mower and thank you for 00:20 joining with me again today to read 00:22 the word of God together. 00:23 Let's pray before we start. 00:26 Dear heavenly Father, thank you so much 00:29 for all of your very many blessings to us. 00:34 Thank you especially for this next little 00:38 while where we will sit and hear your words. 00:41 Please send the Holy Spirit to plant them 00:44 deep in our hearts and to change us 00:46 for your glory. We love you so much 00:48 and thank you for loving us. Amen. 00:51 We're reading in Psalm chapter 128 00:55 beginning with verse 4, 00:56 this is the King James Version. 01:00 "Behold, that thus shall the man be 01:03 blessed that feareth the Lord. 01:06 The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: 01:08 and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem 01:10 all the days of thy life. Yea, 01:12 thou shalt see thy children's children, 01:15 and peace upon Israel. 01:18 Psalm 129: Many a time have they afflicted 01:23 me from my youth, may Israel now say: 01:26 Many a time have they afflicted me from 01:28 my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me. 01:34 The plowers plowed upon my back: 01:37 they made long their furrows. 01:39 The Lord is righteous: he hath cut asunder 01:41 the cords of the wicked. Let them all be 01:45 confounded and turned back that hate Zion. 01:48 Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, 01:51 which withereth afore it groweth up: 01:53 Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; 01:56 nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom. 01:58 Neither do they which go by say, 02:00 The blessing of the Lord be upon you: 02:02 we bless you in the name of the Lord. 02:05 Psalm 130: Out of the depths 02:09 have I cried unto thee, O Lord. Lord, 02:12 hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive 02:16 to the voice of my supplications. 02:20 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, 02:22 O Lord, who shall stand? But there is 02:26 forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be 02:29 feared. I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, 02:33 and in his word do I hope. 02:39 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they 02:42 that watch for the morning: 02:45 I say, more than they that watch for the 02:46 morning. Let Israel hope in the Lord: 02:50 for with the Lord there is mercy, 02:51 and with him is plenteous redemption. 02:54 And he shall redeem Israel 02:56 from all his iniquities. 02:59 Psalm 131: This is the King James Version. 03:03 Lord, my heart is not haughty, 03:06 nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise 03:08 myself in great matters, or in things too high 03:11 for me. Surely I have behaved and quieted 03:15 myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: 03:19 my soul is even as a weaned child. 03:23 Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth 03:26 and for ever. Psalm 132: And this is the 03:30 King James Version. Lord, remember David, 03:35 and all his afflictions: How he swear unto 03:39 the Lord, and vowed unto the mighty God 03:42 of Jacob; Surely I will not come into the 03:44 tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed; 03:47 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, 03:48 or slumber to mine eyelids, 03:50 Until I find out a place for the Lord, 03:53 an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob. 03:57 Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: 04:00 we found it in the fields of the wood. 04:02 We will go into his tabernacles: 04:04 we will worship at his footstool. Arise, O Lord, 04:08 into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength. 04:13 Let thy priests be clothed with 04:14 righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy. 04:17 For thy servant David's sake turn not away 04:20 the face of thine anointed. 04:22 The Lord hath sworn in truth unto David; 04:25 he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy 04:28 body will I set upon thy throne. 04:32 If thy children will keep my covenant and my 04:34 testimony that I shall teach them, 04:36 their children shall also sit upon thy throne 04:39 for evermore. For the Lord hath chosen Zion; 04:43 he hath desired it for his habitation. 04:46 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; 04:50 for I have desired it. I will abundantly 04:53 bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor 04:56 with bread. I will also clothe her priests with 04:59 salvation: and her saints shall shout 05:03 aloud for joy. There will I make the 05:06 horn of David to bud: I have ordained 05:09 a lamp for mine anointed. His enemies will I 05:13 clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his 05:18 crown flourish. Psalm 133: Behold, 05:25 how good and how pleasant it is for brethren 05:29 to dwell together in unity! 05:31 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, 05:34 that ran down upon the beard, 05:35 even Aaron's beard: that went down to the 05:37 skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, 05:41 and as the dew that descended upon the 05:43 mountains of Zion: for there the Lord 05:46 commanded the blessing, even life for evermore. 05:51 Psalm 134: This it the King James Version. 05:56 Behold, bless ye the Lord, 05:58 all ye servants of the Lord, 06:01 which by night stand in the house of the Lord. 06:04 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, 06:07 and bless the Lord. The Lord that made 06:10 heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion. 06:14 Psalm 135: Praise ye the Lord. 06:18 Praise ye the name of the Lord; praise him, 06:21 O ye servants of the Lord. 06:23 Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, 06:25 in the courts of the house of our God. 06:27 Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: 06:30 sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant. 06:34 For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself, 06:36 and Israel for his peculiar treasure. 06:40 For I know that the Lord is great, 06:41 and that our Lord is above all gods. 06:45 Whatsoever the Lord pleased, 06:47 that did he in heaven, and in earth, 06:50 in the seas, and all deep places. 06:54 He causeth the vapours to ascend from 06:56 the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings 06:58 for the rain; he bringeth the wind 06:59 out of his treasuries. 07:01 Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, 07:03 both of man and beast. Who sent tokens and 07:06 wonders into the mids of thee, O Egypt, 07:08 upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants. 07:11 Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings; 07:14 Sihon king of the Amorites, 07:16 and Oh ing of Bashan, and all the kingdoms 07:19 of Canaan: And gave their land for an heritage, 07:21 an heritage unto Israel his people. 07:25 Thy name, O Lord, endureth for ever; 07:27 and thy memorial, O Lord, throughout 07:30 all generations. For the Lord will judge 07:33 his people, and he will repent himself 07:36 concerning his servants. The idols of the 07:39 heathen are silver and gold, 07:41 the work of men's hands. They have mouths, 07:44 but they speak not; eyes have they, 07:47 but they see not; They have ears, 07:49 but they hear not; neither is there any 07:51 breath in their mouths. They that make them 07:54 are like unto them: so is every one that 07:57 trusteth in them. Bless the Lord, 08:00 O house of Israel: bless the Lord, 08:02 O house of Aaron: Bless the Lord, 08:05 O house of Levi: ye that fear the Lord, 08:07 bless the Lord. Blessed be the Lord out of Zion, 08:10 which dwelleth at Jerusalem. 08:12 Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 136: 08:17 This is the King James Version. 08:19 O give thanks unto the Lord; 08:20 for he is good: for his mercy endureth 08:23 for ever. O give thanks unto the God of gods: 08:27 for his mercy endureth for ever. 08:29 O give thanks to the Lord of lords: 08:32 for his mercy endureth for ever. 08:35 To him who alone doeth great wonders: 08:37 for his mercy endureth for ever. 08:40 To him that by wisdom made the heavens: 08:43 for his mercy endureth for ever. 08:46 To him that stretched out the earth above 08:48 the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever. 08:52 To him that made great lights: 08:55 for his mercy endureth for ever: 08:57 The sun to rule by day: for his mercy 09:01 endureth for ever: The moon and stars to 09:04 rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever. 09:09 To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: 09:12 for his mercy endureth for ever: 09:14 And brought out Israel from among them: 09:17 for his mercy endureth for ever: 09:20 With a strong hand, and with a stretched 09:22 out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever. 09:26 To him which divided the Red sea into parts: 09:30 for his mercy endureth for ever: 09:32 And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: 09:35 for his mercy endureth for ever: 09:38 But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the 09:40 Red sea: for his mercy endureth for ever. 09:45 To him which led his people through 09:47 the wilderness: for his mercy endureth for ever. 09:51 To him which smote great kings: 09:55 for his mercy endureth for ever: 09:58 And slew famous kings: 10:00 for his mercy endureth for ever: 10:03 Sihon king of the Amorites: 10:05 for his mercy endureth for ever: 10:08 And Og the king of Bashan: 10:10 for his mercy endureth for ever: 10:14 And gave their land for an heritage: 10:16 for his mercy endureth for ever: 10:20 Even an heritage unto Israel his servant: 10:23 for his mercy endureth for ever. 10:27 Who remembered us in our low estate: 10:31 for his mercy endureth for ever: 10:35 And hath redeemed us from our enemies: 10:38 for his mercy endureth for ever. 10:41 Who giveth food to all flesh: 10:45 for his mercy endureth for ever. 10:48 O give thanks unto the God of heaven: 10:53 for his mercy endureth for ever. 10:58 Psalm 137: And this is the King James Version. 11:04 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, 11:07 yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. 11:12 We hanged our harps upon the willows in 11:14 the midst thereof. For there they that 11:17 carried us away captive required of us a song; 11:20 and they that wasted us required of us mirth, 11:23 saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. 11:27 How shall we sing the Lord's song in a 11:29 strange land? If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, 11:33 let my right hand forget her cunning. 11:36 If I do not remember thee, 11:37 let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; 11:40 if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy. 11:45 Remember, O Lord, the children of Edom 11:47 in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, 11:49 rase it, even to the foundation thereof. 11:53 O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; 11:56 happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee 11:59 as thou hast served us. Happy shall he be, 12:02 that taketh and dasheth thy little ones 12:04 against the stones. Psalm 138: 12:08 This is the King James Version. 12:12 I will praise thee with my whole heart: 12:14 before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. 12:18 I will worship toward thy holy temple, 12:20 and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness 12:23 and for thy truth: for thou hast 12:25 magnified thy word above all thy name. 12:30 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, 12:33 and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. 12:37 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, 12:39 O Lord, when they hear the words of thy mouth. 12:41 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the Lord: 12:44 for great is the glory of the Lord. 12:47 Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect 12:50 unto the lowly: but the proud 12:53 he knoweth afar off. Though I walk in the 12:56 midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: 13:00 thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against 13:02 the wrath of mine enemies, 13:03 and thy right hand shall save me. 13:07 The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: 13:10 thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: 13:14 forsake not the works of thine own hands. 13:18 Psalm 139: O Lord, thou hast searched me, 13:23 and known me. Thou knowest my 13:26 downsitting and mine uprising, 13:30 thou understandest my thought afar off. 13:34 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, 13:37 and art acquainted with all my ways. 13:40 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, 13:43 lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. 13:47 Thou hast beset me behind and before, 13:50 and laid thine hand upon me. 13:53 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; 13:55 it is high, I cannot attain unto it. 13:59 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? 14:02 or whither shall I flee from thy presence? 14:05 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: 14:08 if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. 14:12 If I take the wings of the morning, 14:13 and dwell in the uttermost parts 14:15 of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, 14:19 and thy right hand shall hold me. 14:22 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; 14:25 even the night shall be light about me. Yea, 14:27 the darkness hideth not from thee; 14:29 but the night shineth as the day: 14:32 the darkness and the light 14:33 are both alike to thee. 14:37 Thank you for joining with me, 14:38 please join me again next time. Good bye. |
