It's a beautiful day! 02:23 So we're hoping that you'll sing along 02:26 and enjoy this time together that we're gonna sing. 02:29 So I was thinking, about a character in the Bible, 02:33 kind of a superhero in my eyes and his name is Gideon. 02:38 But you know what, 02:39 he didn't see himself as a superhero. 02:41 In fact, he was kind of... 02:44 He's kind of scared. 02:46 Some of the things that God asked him to do, 02:48 he lacked the courage but God saw something in him 02:53 that Gideon didn't see in himself. 02:56 And I think that's the way God sees a lot of us. 02:58 Sometimes there are... 02:59 He asks us to do things that we think, 03:01 "Oh my goodness, there's no way I can do that." 03:03 Because God sees the end from the beginning. 03:06 He knows what's going on and He knows, 03:09 He knows what He's doing, don't you think? 03:11 That's such a good lesson for all of us to know that 03:13 when God calls us to do something 03:17 and as you get older, 03:20 you'll realize that God is putting a desire 03:24 in your heart to do certain things. 03:26 And you never have to worry about Him 03:30 giving you everything you need to do the job 03:33 and He will... 03:35 He's got you covered. Yeah, He does. 03:36 And God's hand is on you and will be on you, 03:41 and He'll be with you as He was with Gideon. 03:44 That's the truth. 03:46 Because you see Gideon, 03:47 God asked Gideon 03:49 to get all the men together of Israel 03:51 because they were gonna go fight a battle. 03:53 And so there were 32,000 men showed up 03:57 to be part of this army. 04:00 And God says, "Well, you know what that's nice." 04:02 Because 32,000 men, 04:04 they ought to be able to win any battle. 04:06 But then he said, "You need to send 04:09 some of them home." 04:10 Because if they win the battle, then it's gonna look like 04:14 they won the battle and God didn't, 04:17 and that's really of the way... 04:18 God was gonna be the one who wins our battles. 04:21 So he told some of the men to go home. 04:23 How many of the men do you think went home? 04:25 22,000. 04:30 Good guess. 04:31 Well, there were 32,000 men 04:34 and actually 31,700 of them went home 04:39 because the Bible says that there were only 300 men left. 04:44 So 300 men, and I'm no genius but I did the math I think. 04:51 And so 300 men, and then God told Gideon 04:55 not only you're gonna have 300 men, 04:57 but you're not gonna use any swords. 04:59 You're gonna use pitchers and a trumpet and a torch, 05:02 and so anyway it's a great story. 05:04 If you don't know it, 05:05 you need to go home and read it. 05:07 And so we wrote a little song that goes like this 05:10 and you can repeat the line after me, okay? 05:13 Go, go, Gideon, Gather up your army 05:16 Go, go, Gideon, Gather up your army 05:19 Fight with courage and not with swords 05:22 Fight with courage And not with swords 05:26 Small but mighty Nothing will harm thee 05:29 Small but mighty Nothing will harm thee 05:33 You will win In the strength of the Lord 05:36 You will win In the strength of the Lord 05:38 Oh yeah.
