Okay. 01:22 Shreveport, Louisiana, 01:23 but right now I'm in Dallas, Texas. 01:25 I've been staying in Dallas for about 15 years now. 01:28 Now, is that where your music ministry began in Dallas? 01:31 It began in Shreveport, 01:33 singing with the Bright Star Male Chorus, 01:35 Save the Youth Concert Choir and when I came to Dallas 01:38 I got with JOY and Brian Clifton. 01:42 And Darren Yazzie, 01:44 Terrence Mackey and Nu Restoration. 01:47 So we've been blessed to be able 01:49 to be a part of some great ministries. 01:52 When I heard you in sound check that first thing 01:54 that I said was, he is believable. 01:58 You are believable. Wow, wow. 01:59 Honestly and when I hear you 02:00 I can tell that you've got not just a gift 02:03 but you got a relationship, 02:05 you got a relationship with God. 02:06 Most definitely. Most definitely. 02:08 That's what it's all about. 02:09 It's more about a relationship with God 02:12 and that's what tried to continue to have 02:16 is the relationship with Him in my prayer life, home life. 02:21 It's all about a relationship with Him. 02:23 I'm glad that you said your prayer life, 02:25 because I think its important that, 02:27 that the world knows that men need to pray 02:30 and especially-- you are married right? 02:32 Yes, sir. You are welcome. 14:44 The Lord has blessed you so much. 14:47 What is it like having a talent like yours? 14:51 Is it-- do you find that, 14:55 that are you around other students 14:57 that have talent too? 15:00 Well, in my school you get in for a specific talent 15:04 and I tried up for vocal talent. 15:05 So, there is a room full of vocal talents. 15:09 My, my, that's amazing. 15:12 How do you keep focused on the Lord 15:15 when you are around all of that music 15:18 and I'm sure that there is worldly music, 15:21 how do you keep focused on Jesus? 15:24 Have my Bible, number one. 15:25 Do you? Do you take it to church? 15:27 I mean, to school? Awesome. 15:31 And also I know that the Lord 15:34 is gonna keep me safe throughout my day 15:36 and I pray every single day before I leave to go to school 15:39 or I pray whenever I need Him. 15:41 Not just when I just need to pray to food 15:44 or for something like that. 15:45 Oh, that's awesome. 15:46 So you have a relationship with Jesus, 15:49 is that what you are telling me? 15:51 That is amazing. 15:52 And to see that in such a young girl, 15:56 it's so heartwarming. 15:58 When you're saying there is an anointing there 16:01 that I just sense the Holy Spirit's presence 16:04 and that is just so, so incredible. 16:07 When did you start singing? At the age of three. 16:11 Wow, tell us about it. 16:13 I was in the-- choir in my church 16:16 and well, that's when I basically started singing. 16:20 And what did you sing, soprano or alto? 16:23 My godfather was the direct 16:24 and he started me off with soprano. 16:26 He did. But now I'm in alto. 16:29 Hey, what are some of your favorite songs to sing? 16:33 I love to sing the prayer, 16:37 "Never Would Have Made It" by Marvin Sapp. 16:39 Oh, yes, yes. 16:41 That's great. That's great. 16:43 So when company comes over to your house like, 16:46 when I was about your age my mom used to-- 16:50 whenever company would come over she would say, 16:52 oh, Yvonne, sing, "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" 16:55 which will be so much pressure. 16:58 Does your mom did that or your dad, 17:00 did they have to sing for company? 17:01 Like almost every year we would have a like family 17:04 come over for a Thanksgiving dinner and everything 17:07 and my brother would normally dance to Michael Jackson 17:11 and I would-- my mom would want me to sing 17:14 and I would sing. 17:15 That's great. 17:16 Now do you come from a musical family? 17:18 Yes. 17:19 Okay, tell us does your mom sing, 17:21 your dad, who sings? 17:22 My mom sings and my mom side of the family 17:24 is more like the singing side 17:27 and my dad side is like more of like the music. 17:31 Instruments? Yeah. 17:33 On my dad side my grandmother 17:34 she played piano like around Panama 17:38 because that's where from my family is, naturally from. 17:40 And on my mom's side 17:41 its like the singing like my grandfather, 17:45 he, he would sing around in Panama 17:48 and my uncle he plays the saxophone and-- 17:55 Your uncle is gonna be with us here at Magnify Him as well. 17:57 Yes, he is. 17:59 And also my other uncle plays the harmonica. 18:04 So you come from a musical family. 18:06 So when everybody gets together 18:08 is there a lot of music or is there? 18:11 There's a lot of music. 18:12 Is there-- oh, that's incredible. 18:14 That's incredible. 18:15 Now your brother does he sing at all? 18:17 My bothers they do sing but they are like, 18:20 like shy I guess you can say. 18:23 They like to sing but not really 18:25 that much into like by their selves. 18:28 Okay. Yeah. 18:29 So do you sing a lot around in New York City 18:34 or where do you sing? 18:35 I sing a lot in church. 18:40 My most recent place 18:43 that I sing out was at a gospel brunch. 18:45 Oh, what was that like? It was great. 18:50 Even though I was little, 18:52 I was little under the weather being sick 18:55 I still did a great job I think and God was there with me. 19:00 Yes. Praise the Lord. 19:02 In fact, what do you do 19:05 when you feel little bit under the weather 19:06 and you have to sing? 19:08 My mom, she tells me because when she was younger 19:11 she used to sing also and she puts like 19:15 honey and lime mix it together and I take a little teaspoons 19:20 and she would also put a little bit of honey on my teeth. 19:24 Awesome.
