Thank you for having me. 01:08 It is great to have you here now, 01:10 I love you and we were talking earlier 01:13 you had an amazing story 01:15 about how you first started singing 01:16 will you tell us a little about that? 01:18 I actually can, I started singing 01:20 I didn't know when I was singing 01:22 my aunt heard me singing when I was in my crib 01:25 and told my mother that I was going to sing 01:27 and my mother said, 01:29 "That's ridiculous, she's a baby she can barely roll over... " 01:31 but my aunt said, 01:34 "Of course, this girl is going to sing, 01:36 I can hear her singing, she is going to sing... " 01:38 so when I was two and a half they put me in front of a stage 01:41 in front of people and I sang. 01:44 That is really interesting, now, were you by yourself 01:47 or were there a lot of people, what was the song, 01:50 do you remember any of that? 01:52 The song was, "Who made the twinkling stars" 01:54 and I was with a lot of other children from the church 01:58 I believe it was Thirteenth Sabbath 02:00 and the mic was being passed along, 02:03 and they passed the mic to me 02:04 and my mother didn't know if I was going to sing 02:06 but I picked up the microphone and I started... 02:09 "Who made the birds that fly" you know... 02:12 And I'm sure your mother was very proud of you 02:15 when that happened. Yes... yes... 02:16 Of course you've come a long way from 02:18 "Who made the twinkling stars" 02:19 because you're here at Magnify Him, 02:21 are there any projects that you have going on 02:24 that we can look forward to, by any chance? 02:26 I am... by God's grace, finishing a Christmas Album 02:29 this year to be out on... in 2014, in October hopefully, 02:34 we're working on some stuff so, by God's grace it will be done. 02:38 That will be amazing and you, of course, 02:40 are a mother of two and a wonderful wife 02:42 can you tell us a little bit about your family? 02:43 I married Joseph Chin King 02:45 my best friend of 15 years 02:47 so when people ask me how long we've been married 02:50 I'm like... "We've been together for a long time. " 02:53 I don't even remember... 02:55 We have two lovely children, beautiful children, 02:57 I am biased, yes, I'm allowed... they're mine... 02:59 and my littlest is two, 03:02 her name is Renel 03:03 and my son is three, his name is Michael. 03:05 And, of course, 03:06 I'm sure they're singing just like their mummy. 03:08 They are... all the time... all day, every day, 03:09 anything they can sing... they sing! 03:11 That is really wonderful 03:12 and what are you going to be doing for us today? 03:15 Today I'd like to share two songs 03:17 one by Crystal Lewis called "Come Just As You Are" 03:20 and the other by Sandi Patty called, "They Could Not. So, you are a song writer? 15:08 I am... all the songs I wrote are on the album 15:10 all ten songs are written by me. 15:13 Awesome... so who produced your album? 15:15 His name is Andrew Beresford, he's living in California now, 15:18 he's a good friend of mine, we grew up together 15:20 so, it was a blessing to be able to work with him, 15:22 okay now... here... this may be a harder question 15:24 or an easy question, 15:25 what is your favorite song on that album? 15:28 That's a hard question because they all are loved by me 15:31 but if I had to pick a favorite, it probably would be 15:33 "Take Me Higher" 15:36 is a favorite of mine. Okay... 15:38 Meditative... slow... worshipful... 15:40 So what do you want to do with this CD or with your career? 15:43 I'm hoping that I'll be able just to take the music with me 15:46 wherever I go, wherever God plans, 15:48 for me to go with the music, I'm willing to go 15:51 I have no major plan per se 15:55 other than what God wants for the music... basically... 15:58 Okay, so... we were talking backstage 16:01 and you told me that you went to Andrews University... 16:04 I did... I did... So how was your experience there 16:07 I loved it... Hmmm... hmmm... 16:08 What was your major? 16:09 It was Music Education. 16:11 Awesome... so how are you using that? 16:13 I'm a Music Teacher now at Spring Valley Academy 16:15 in Dayton, Ohio, I do all choir... 16:18 and all the Elementary music 16:19 some of the Elementary music so... 16:21 Okay, that is awesome, 16:22 so, with you teaching Elementary music 16:26 what is some advice that you'd give to a kid... 16:28 About?
