00:31 Today, I want to pray about humility.
00:33 Humility is being comfortable with who you are in the Lord
00:37 and therefore putting others first.
00:39 The picture of humility in the Bible
00:41 is one of a strong person, one who loves others.
00:44 puts it this way,
00:48 "Do nothing out of selfish ambition
00:50 or vain conceit,
00:51 but in humility consider others better than yourself."
00:55 Humility is also recognizing
00:57 that we need God's help knowing that
00:59 we can't fully understand
01:01 or do anything in our own strength.
01:04 Humility is thanking God for our talents, for our gifts,
01:07 for all the things that He's given us,
01:09 and we give Him credit for our accomplishments.
01:13 2 Chronicles 7:14 says,
01:16 "If My people who are called by My name
01:18 shall humble themselves, and pray and seek My face,
01:20 and turn from their wicked ways,
01:22 then I will hear from heaven,
01:24 and will forgive their sins and will heal their land."
01:28 What an incredible promise
01:30 from an incredible Heavenly Father.
01:33 I love this song that
01:36 talks about being unworthy.
01:41 Unworthy am I of the grace
01:47 That He gave
01:48 Unworthy to hold
01:52 To His hand
01:56 Amazed that a King
02:00 Would reach down to a slave
02:04 This love
02:06 I cannot understand
02:13 Unworthy,
02:17 Unworthy,
02:21 A beggar
02:25 In bondage and alone
02:31 But He made me worthy
02:36 And now by His grace
02:40 His mercy has made me
02:46 His own
02:52 Dear Heavenly Father, thank You so much
02:55 for the gift that You gave us in sending Your only Son.
02:59 Thank You for the selfless life He lived
03:01 and for being our example.
03:04 Lord, today I pray that You will work
03:06 upon each one of our hearts,
03:08 that we might be the people that You call us to be.
03:11 Help us to live a life of humility,
03:14 and seek to serve others rather than to be served.
03:17 I pray that in everything we do,
03:19 we will give the glory and honor to You
03:22 so that those around us will be drawn to You.
03:25 Let us not seek to please self,
03:27 but help us keep our minds focused
03:29 and our heart stayed on You.
03:32 Keep us humble,
03:33 this I pray in Jesus' name.
03:35 Amen.
03:40 Dear Heavenly Father,
03:41 I just ask for a special dose of humility
03:44 in these last days.
03:45 Father, dying to self is a daily struggle.
03:49 And it's something that we all must conquer,
03:52 but we don't have to conquer it alone
03:54 and we can't conquer it alone.
03:56 So I ask that You would humble us, Father,
03:58 that You would help us to continue to die to self
04:02 on a daily basis
04:03 and help us to follow the pattern that Jesus
04:07 and the example that Jesus Christ
04:10 has set forth for us.
04:11 Thank You for hearing this prayer.
04:13 In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
04:18 My sorrow and my sickness
04:24 Laid stripes on His back
04:28 My sins caused the blood
04:32 That was shed
04:37 My faults and my failures
04:41 Have woven the crown Of thorns,
04:48 That were wore on His head
04:55 Unworthy,
04:58 Unworthy,
05:02 A beggar
05:06 In bondage and alone
05:12 But He made me worthy
05:17 And now by His grace
05:22 His mercy
05:25 Has made me
05:28 His own
05:33 "The lofty looks of man shall be humbled,
05:35 the haughtiness of men shall be bound down,
05:38 and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day."
05:42 Father, God, we exalt You today
05:45 because You are good,
05:46 because You are holy, because You are God,
05:50 because You are our Creator and our Redeemer,
05:54 and our Sustainer.
05:56 Thank You for who You are.
05:58 And in contrast to that,
06:00 Lord, we repent, in dust, in ashes,
06:04 realizing that our righteousness
06:07 is as filthy rags.
06:09 Father, today as I go throughout my day,
06:13 I pray that You would reveal to me
06:15 any area in my heart where there is pride,
06:19 any area that has not been fully given to You,
06:23 would You give me Your spirit of humility,
06:26 and grace, and love?
06:34 Heavenly Father,
06:36 we come to You today to ask that
06:38 You will empty us of pride,
06:40 arrogance, and self-seeking.
06:43 Empty us of us
06:45 and fill us with Your Holy Spirit.
06:47 Increase our faith,
06:49 increase our dependence upon You,
06:52 increase our courage, Lord, increase our wisdom,
06:56 increase our humility, dear Father.
06:59 Let us always be mindful that
07:01 we are totally depended upon You for all things.
07:05 And teach us, Father,
07:06 to depend upon You
07:08 to will and to do Your good pleasure
07:10 in our lives.
07:12 We ask this in the name of Jesus.
07:15 Amen.
07:21 Our Father in heaven,
07:23 we want to take this moment and give You praise,
07:28 Thanksgiving.
07:30 Thank you, Lord, for You, our God, You are our provider.
07:36 And thank You for the open invitation
07:38 to come to You
07:40 and to ask as we will receive.
07:44 So as we have faith and trust in Your Word,
07:48 we come to You asking for a spirit of humility.
07:54 Father, help us to surrender completely to You
07:59 so that You can work in our lives,
08:02 that we may become humble,
08:06 Your humble servants to be able to fulfill the work
08:10 that You have set before us.
08:13 Thank You, Jesus.
08:15 Thank You, Lord.
08:17 Thank You, Holy Spirit
08:18 for moving in our heights
08:20 and for helping us to do Your will.
08:25 So we thank You, Lord,
08:27 that today, You will be walking with us
08:32 and we desire to walk with You.
08:36 We decided to walk humbly with You.
08:40 So thank You, Lord,
08:41 for all the things that You have done,
08:43 what You are doing and what You will do.
08:46 We ask you these things in Jesus' name.
08:49 Amen.
08:54 Unworthy am I
08:59 Of the glory to come
09:03 Unworthy
09:06 With angels to sing
09:11 I thrill just to know that
09:15 He loved me so much
09:21 Though a pauper,
09:22 I walk with the King
09:29 I'm unworthy,
09:34 I'm unworthy
09:38 I'm just a beggar
09:43 In bondage and alone
09:49 But He made me worthy
09:54 And now by His grace
09:59 His mercy has made me
10:06 His own
10:12 Father, I thank You that according to Psalm 25:9,
10:16 "You lead the humble in what is right.
10:19 And you teach the humble His way."
10:23 1 Peter 5:5 says, "Likewise you who are younger,
10:27 be subject to the elders,
10:29 clothe yourselves all of you
10:30 with humility toward one another,
10:33 for God opposes the proud,
10:35 but gives grace to the humble."
10:37 Lord, I pray for our viewers, those who are young,
10:41 who have the opportunity to learn from the older.
10:47 Oh, God, give them the grace to be humble
10:52 to not think any of us to think that we know it all.
10:58 Lord, we're never too old to learn,
11:01 and to grow in wisdom and in knowledge
11:04 as long as we stay humble and willing to learn.
11:11 And I thank You for Mark 10:45,
11:14 that says, "For even the Son of Man
11:16 came not to be served, but to serve,
11:18 and to give His life as a ransom for many."
11:21 What an awesome, awesome, awesome example of humility,
11:26 and servanthood that You gave us
11:31 in the life of Christ.
11:35 Lord, there are those who have many needs,
11:40 the viewers who have written in
11:44 and one says, "Please pray for my assignment at work.
11:49 And praying for
11:52 prayers for peace and safety, protection,
11:55 deliverance, healing, financial obligation to be met,
11:59 the rent has increased.
12:01 The daughters have been laid off."
12:05 Lord God, so many people in so much need.
12:12 We know that You are able
12:13 and You are willing to meet our needs
12:18 according to Your riches and glory, Lord.
12:23 So I pray that our viewers, those who are in need
12:26 of physical needs and financial,
12:31 spiritual, mental, emotional,
12:36 the needs are great, meet those needs.
12:43 Thank You, Lord.
12:47 One viewer says that
12:49 a friend has Hodgkin's lymphoma.
12:51 She's 85 years old.
12:53 She's always helped others, loves the Lord so much.
12:57 Now she's in the hospital with a broken ankle,
13:00 and she'll be in need of chemotherapy
13:04 due to her cancer.
13:06 She's weak and needs prayers for healing.
13:08 Father God, I pray in Jesus' name,
13:12 that You would reach down and minister peace and healing
13:17 to this one who's in great need of You
13:20 and healing of broken bones and healing of cancer.
13:25 Father God,
13:26 You are a great God and we need You.
13:30 We thank You for loving us.
13:32 So I encourage You to draw near to Him.
13:35 Draw near to God and He will draw near to You.
13:37 He loves you.
13:39 He wants to give You good things.
13:41 May we humble ourselves before Him.
13:43 So we will hear our prayer.
13:45 He will hear our prayers.
13:46 And He will heal us. Amen.
