00:01 Welcome back, welcome back,
00:02 we have been having a wonderful time here
00:04 on the 24-day challenge,
00:06 menu planning, meal balancing act.
00:09 It's been fun and you can see what we made here today,
00:12 I'm so excited because I like to keep it simple
00:15 and now we took it simpler to whole another level.
00:18 If you can see quickly what we've made here today,
00:20 we made the original smoothie, it was just the simple fruits
00:24 and you blend it up in your mouth,
00:27 and then we have granolas best kept secret,
00:30 we use the coconut milk now
00:33 to make this recipe all the way till you to taste the flavor,
00:37 it is amazing.
00:38 Then we've made to the easy breezy almond milk,
00:41 which goes ahead and builds those strong healthy bones
00:44 and so you can do that within a couple of minutes.
00:47 And you got to finish off your meals
00:49 with a handful of nuts,
00:50 so, we have the almonds, we have the sunflower seeds,
00:52 the Pistachios and pine nuts,
00:54 we'll talk about that here shortly.
00:56 But then lunch...
00:57 Something has to be fresh,
00:59 so, we went ahead and we made the simple,
01:01 sumptuous vibrant as we can see here, salad,
01:04 all you need is some beats and carrots and celery,
01:07 with a little sprinkle of lemon juice and sea salt.
01:10 And then we have my quickest, favorite meal,
01:16 as we see here the confetti couscous,
01:19 as you could see it looks like a party in that plate
01:21 and literally it'd be a party in our mouth.
01:24 And then you have to have that natural fat to finish that up
01:27 and so, we have the sautéed cashews,
01:30 who knew you can sauté(C) some cashews.
01:34 So these are the simple recipes that we made here
01:36 and I have our very own special guest,
01:40 Celestine, how are you?
01:41 Good, how are you doing, thanks for having me.
01:43 Good to have you on a show,
01:45 now watch these people think Nyse just be making up stuff,
01:48 he'd be saying it should be simple.
01:49 There is no way we can get all of these things
01:52 and just real quick, since they didn't believe me,
01:54 I have to bring on a professional,
01:56 very own dietician, registered,
01:59 a license, you name it, she did it.
02:01 So, Celestine, tell us real quick about yourself so,
02:04 since that I have a credibility,
02:05 may be you do, all right.
02:07 Tell us real quick, you are registered,
02:08 you are licensed,
02:10 what, how does that work as a dietician?
02:11 Well, basically we just work with lifestyle changes,
02:14 just what we do as in our real life,
02:16 which is helping individuals, families
02:19 which is my background for the last seven years,
02:21 working with families, children,
02:24 in the hospital setting
02:26 but also in the out-patient setting,
02:28 that's what we've done.
02:29 So the doctors literally call on you
02:31 to help put together some of those menu planning
02:34 and different items like that,
02:35 to help the patients, right, with diabetes,
02:37 all kinds of elements of diseases?
02:38 Absolutely, but they key is meeting them
02:41 where they are.
02:42 Yes.
02:43 So that does crucial and that's why we try,
02:45 what we try to do it and meet them where they're at
02:48 and keep it simple, yeah?
02:49 Absolutely.
02:51 So, any benefits from what we discussed here,
02:53 the three basic groups that we see here?
02:55 Any benefits when you are right
02:57 and now the menu plan,
02:59 as we see the three basic groups is what,
03:01 number one of us fresh, whether that be what...?
03:03 Fruits or vegetables?
03:05 Fruits or vegetable try your best
03:06 to keep your separate, number two was what?
03:08 It's the whole grain,
03:09 which is you can get those in the starches, also,
03:13 you know, nuts and beans
03:15 which is the third step,
03:16 that you need to have it and its having a balance
03:19 but you see what we said is meeting them where they are,
03:21 you come from a different background,
03:23 I come from a different background,
03:24 I can't prescribe for you with specific list of foods
03:28 that you have to eat and the beautiful thing is that
03:30 nature has a variety of fruits and vegetables and grains,
03:35 we can just kind of pick and choose as long as
03:37 we have the basic foundational principles.
03:40 And that's what it's all about, it's all about what,
03:42 those habits huh?
03:43 Absolutely.
03:44 And so that's what we are trying to incorporate
03:46 the use of the 24 Days to help you
03:47 put the well up those simple habits.
03:50 You heard it from me but now you heard it
03:51 from your own, very own dietician,
03:53 so see you next time.
