00:15 Welcome to the Taste of Paradise.
00:17 My name is Evita Tezeno. 00:19 You know, have you gone to a dinner party 00:22 and you seen the same old orders every time 00:25 and saying okay, 00:27 there have to be something different. 00:29 Well, I have come over the new 00:31 and innovative way to use a cucumber. 00:34 We are having a Mock Tuna 00:37 stuffed inside of the cucumber. 00:39 And, you know, I have a special friend today 00:43 that is gonna help me with this recipe. 00:46 Hi, Evan. Hi, Evita. 00:50 Thank you, 00:51 thank you for coming in our kitchen today. 00:53 Oh, thank you for inviting me. 00:55 This look so good, this will be exciting. 00:57 Yes, I'm excited too. 00:59 Because, you know, we still like the taste of Tuna fish, 01:02 but, you know, we want to kind of eat a little healthy 01:05 because Tuna has been said 01:08 to have a lot of mercury in it these days 01:11 and so we want to try to be plant based. 01:14 Absolutely. 01:15 And I am allergic to fish 01:16 and so if I can have something that's like it. 01:19 I used to love Tuna when I was little 01:21 and I can't eat it, so this is great 01:24 and I can get the benefits of all these different plants. 01:27 Yes. 01:28 And yet have my little Tuna fish flavor 01:30 so that's all good, right. 01:32 So, we're gonna read the recipe right now. 01:33 Okay. Okay. 01:37 Ingredients for the Mock Tuna is... 02:18 So we're gonna make the Tuna first. 02:20 Okay, that sounds great. 02:23 And you know about sunflower seeds the benefits. 02:26 Oh, absolutely. 02:27 Well, tell me some of the benefits you know? 02:29 Yeah, yeah, I had written this book 02:31 for women on menopause. 02:33 And sunflower seeds are very high in magnesium. 02:36 Really? 02:37 And magnesium is along with calcium, 02:39 they are critical for bone health, 02:41 it's great for the health of the blood vessels, 02:44 it is really good for even just for circulatory issues. 02:51 Sunflower seeds are really, really good, 02:54 high in protein, I mean, seeds and nuts 02:56 we don't really emphasize 02:58 as much as we should in the standard American diet. 03:01 So, this is gonna be great. 03:03 Wow. Yeah. 03:04 So, we soak our sunflower seeds 03:05 to make them a little easier to grind up. 03:08 Okay. Yeah. 03:09 And it makes it really look like-- like a Pattie. 03:13 Yeah. 03:14 So, because it is soft. You know, seeds are life. 03:16 You know, you put a seed into the ground 03:18 and life will just comes to be well, seeds are life 03:21 and that's why God gave them to us. 03:22 Exactly. 03:24 And so we have our fresh lemon juice 03:26 and I always like to use fresh lemon juice not the-- 03:29 'Cause always live fresh? Yes, yes, yes, yes. 03:33 And we have our garlic, our garlic cloves 03:36 and I'm gonna cut this up a little bit. 03:38 Okay. Chop them up, mince them up. 03:40 Garlic too is so important for the cardio vascular system 03:46 and they have all these studies about garlic 03:48 and the benefits of garlic. 03:49 And if you have a cold like our director has Bronchitis 03:54 and if he took some garlic with oregano 03:57 and lemon juice and honey 03:59 back he was only about that and that make a tea. 04:02 It's so good and it so good for you. 04:04 Yes, anti bacterial-- 04:05 Yes, anti bacterial, its anti viral. 04:08 So-- Wow. 04:09 It's really, really good. It's also good. 04:12 I've read that you could mix that 04:14 with a little Kaolin clay and use it 04:16 as a mask for any skin eruptions. 04:19 Oh, that's will be good, 04:21 so you wouldn't still smell like garlic. 04:24 You could just use it in privacy of your own. 04:26 Okay, that sounds good. 04:28 Yeah, that's great, that's great. 04:30 And is it-- we have celery 04:32 because celery looks like a bones, don't it? Isn't it? 04:35 You know what, and, you know what. 04:36 I have read something about celery 04:38 that if you eat two to three stocks of celery a day, 04:42 you know, raw fresh preferably organic 04:45 you can reduce your risk of high blood pressure 04:48 and you can also change your blood pleasure. 04:50 Really. 04:51 Now, I want to make sure that our viewers 04:53 know we're not saying, 04:54 you know, go out and stop taking 04:56 your blood pleasures tests. 04:57 But this is something that can enhance 04:59 your preventive moves, 05:02 you know, the preventive against hypertensions. 05:05 So this is really-- this is good. 05:07 So, you're putting some great ingredients in here 05:10 that are not only gonna taste good 05:12 but they're really good for you. 05:14 Yes. 05:15 And parsley greens, greens are always good-- 05:18 Isn't parsley we're dryadic too? 05:20 Yes, it is. 05:21 It's got extra water ways. Yes. 05:24 And whole green onions 05:26 and then I'm going to cross this a little bit. 05:30 To incorporate everything 05:33 and I put Braggs Liquid Aminios. 05:36 Oh, I loved it. Yes. 05:37 Braggs makes everything tasty good. 05:38 Taste good everything, everything. 05:40 I love Braggs. 05:41 And our seaweed our dulse. 05:44 You know what, with the seaweed 05:46 with the thyroid indigenous in other time 05:48 but it is so important 05:50 because the thyroid needs iodine 05:53 and that's really high in dulse and kelp and so, 05:55 and you use that in your recipe. 05:57 Yes, I use a lot of them. So, great. 05:59 Yes, and we have our sea salt and then dill weed. 06:04 I just love dill weed. Oh, God, dill weed. 06:06 I put it in soup and salad, I loved it. 06:10 I make an avocado dressing that has dill weed 06:13 and it's so good and I have done it 06:15 on one of the program. 06:16 Oh, awesome. And it's delicious. 06:19 So we're gonna whiz this. 06:32 Okay, we got this all incorporated. 06:36 Now this is the fun part, Yvonne. 06:40 I'll move all of this out of the way. 06:42 Yes, this is so, this is gonna be good 06:45 and stuffing this is just gonna be so interesting. 06:48 I am not the greatest at doing stuff like this 06:50 so hopefully this is nice and simple. 06:53 Well, I'm gonna show you how to do one 06:56 and then you do the other half. 06:57 It's just real simple. Oh, my goodness. 06:59 I didn't know I was gonna have to do it myself. 07:02 Every body is gonna see what a klutz I am. 07:05 So you cut the cucumber in half. 07:06 Okay. 07:07 And then I use a half of teaspoon measurement. 07:12 To take the seed out 07:14 and look how that comes out so easy. 07:15 Look at that. Isn't that amazing? 07:17 Okay, so this is like a little cucumber boat. 07:20 Yeah, yes. 07:21 So, you want to take all the, all the seeds out. 07:24 Okay. 07:25 And then you get a little of the pattie. 07:29 Right. 07:31 And just stuff this in here. 07:34 Okay. 07:38 That looks so cool. 07:40 It is so easy. Yeah. 07:42 Now what so cool everything 07:44 that's in here you can run out 07:46 and buy it in the grocery store. 07:48 Yeah. 07:49 It's not pretty, except for the dulse 07:51 they don't sell that but-- 07:54 And some, you know, some grocery stores 07:56 now have like health food section. 07:59 Yes. 08:00 And sometimes you can find things 08:02 like that in their health food section. 08:03 Okay, so you want to do that one for me. 08:05 Okay. 08:07 You think you can do that for me. 08:09 I am not queen of this. Put a little pressure. 08:12 Now do you see how this look-- 08:13 Now, you know what, I am feeling like you, Evita. 08:19 Go all the way to the end. 08:20 Okay. Yeah. 08:21 And then go other way to that end. 08:23 Okay. Yeah. 08:24 Evita, I mean if I can do this-- 08:27 Anybody can do it. Anybody can do it. 08:28 I am not the queen in here. Okay, cool. 08:31 Okay, so we want to take it all the way to the end here. 08:33 Okay. 08:34 Because we want, we want to be able to seal it. 08:38 Okay. And watch. 08:41 Oh, look at that. 08:43 And then we take our sesame seeds and-- 08:47 Sesame seeds are so good for calcium. 08:49 Yes. 08:51 So a quarter of a cup of sesame seeds each day 08:54 will give you the calcium that you need for the day. 08:58 Wow. A quarter of a cup. 08:59 Isn't that amazing? 09:00 It is amazing, how God just taught of everything. 09:03 And you want to kind of seal this together 09:06 and then you just roll this. 09:08 Oh, and it become-- look at that. 09:10 You get all of these wonderful colors-- 09:12 That's why you want to taste that. 09:16 Okay. 09:17 And, you know, we're doing it a little quick, 09:20 a little faster then usual. 09:22 Right. 09:23 But then you slice these 09:29 and you get your stuff. 09:31 Look at that how cute. 09:35 And the pattie will kind of keep it together. 09:37 Yeah, the pattie will keep it together. 09:40 That is great. Yeah. 09:42 So I have some that's already done. 09:44 Okay. 09:47 Look out. Is usually the white rice. 14:01 We're using the brown rice. 14:02 So we're gonna use the whole grain rice as well. 14:04 Whole grain, yeah. 14:05 And it's usually literally probably fried. 14:08 What do you say they put a lot of oil 14:10 and stuff like that as well? 14:11 Yeah, but we're going to use little bit of good oil. 14:12 The good oil. Yeah, it means happiness. 15:14 Happiness, so we have happiness and nice. 15:17 Nice to be happy, yeah, there it is. 15:19 So we gonna make that here today. 15:21 You know, good Christians 15:22 are supposed to be nice and happy. 15:24 Nice and happy, 15:25 so I hope you all heard it here, 15:27 heard it here for us. 15:28 So what are we gonna do here it's a simple recipe. 15:30 What are we gonna start with? 15:32 Now first thing what we're gonna do 15:33 let's go and turn the heat on. 15:35 Okay, so we're gonna get the heat rolling there. 15:37 Hit it on. Okay. 15:39 Then after that we are going to go ahead dice. 15:42 So we're gonna dice something? 15:43 Dice onions. 15:44 So we're gonna dice some onions. 15:46 I'm gonna just show you only thing 15:48 the hard is just the dicing vegetables 15:50 so just take your time. 15:52 Take your time and be careful of course-- 15:55 Be careful, yes. 15:56 As y'all know I'm not into all of that, 15:58 I just like and just throw it in 16:00 and cook it and keep it simple, 16:01 but we have the chef, 16:02 the expert here herself to make this for us. 16:05 So we have some onions. 16:06 Onions, and then you'll need is celery. 16:09 Anyway I would like to talk about onions. 16:11 Onions are actually very high in antioxidants 16:14 which is kills the cancer cell in your body. 16:18 Look at that, 16:19 chicken fried rice is killing cancer. 16:21 Look at that, the good stuff here, of course. 16:23 And the celery is very high in potassium and sodium, 16:29 not only that I really wonderful for the people 16:32 suffering from the high blood pressure. 16:34 High blood pressure as well. 16:35 And matter of fact, we use to make this broth with celery 16:39 and onion and people who are dealing 16:41 with blood pressure issues they will go ahead 16:43 and drink that and it is helpful. 16:47 Now let me stop here, I'm not saying this 16:49 is the answer to everything 16:51 if you have high blood pressure 16:52 but onions and celery do work. 16:54 So a matter of fact, by eating this 16:56 you can help yourself, fight against what's? 16:59 High blood pressure. Yes. 17:01 This right, you know what, also when you get away 17:04 from the eating the meat 17:06 and it really help you to lower your blood pressure. 17:09 It will help you as well. It will help you as well. 17:11 And there are a lot of people 17:12 who die with the blood pressure this is silent killer 17:15 and you not aware of it. 17:17 And look isn't it pretty? That is beautiful. 17:20 We have the carrots as well. 17:21 Well, you see I thought I was doing good 17:23 when I used to order the chicken fried rice 17:25 because it did have some veggies in it, right. 17:28 They had some peas some time, 17:30 they had carrots, they had onions. 17:31 So I was like, hey, just put more veggies in it. 17:34 But now you could do it yourself 17:36 where you don't have to worry about other items. 17:38 So you have those and we're getting 17:41 the stove warmed up here. 17:43 Is it getting warmed? Yeah. 17:45 Okay, its not quiet warm yet. 17:46 That's not too bad here. 17:47 That's why when you cook 17:50 make sure that go and turn the heat on 17:52 that you have a few minutes to go and chop everything. 17:55 And this is garlic, fresh garlic 17:58 you got to put it in there which is very-- 18:00 or otherwise very high in antioxidants 18:03 and they will kill the germs and bacteria in your body. 18:06 So eating like this actually cure you from the cancer-- 18:12 Can, can cure us there by God's grace of course. 18:15 Amen. 18:16 By eating these simple items 18:17 such as the garlic and the onions 18:21 and all of these would be very, very helpful. 18:23 So it's crucial as well to go ahead 18:26 and prepare some of these items, 18:28 get them ready in advance so then it's ready. 18:30 You notice what she has there? 18:31 She has the-- Can you share this one? 18:34 That is normally it will be the thicken, all right. 18:37 The tasty chicken that we make only here 18:39 at Taste of Paradise where we take the tofu 18:41 and you can even bread it as well but this one-- 18:44 This one is like a totally meat free, vegetarian products. 18:50 Okay. 18:51 And you can use it simply for the chicken substitute. 18:55 Any grocery store you can go 18:56 you can find this meatless chicken substitute. 19:00 And this one we can use 19:01 to chicken fried rice without chicken. 19:04 Very nice, now you see 19:06 we only left Chef Kyong do this 19:09 'cause we usually don't have the substitutes 19:11 but you can find this at many stores 19:14 even some of the major supermarkets as well 19:19 will have this you try to get the one 19:21 that doesn't have milk or eggs or something of that nature 19:24 and so there's many options that you can do. 19:26 If you don't have it then don't put it, 19:28 make that just get the tofu 19:30 and you make the tasty chicken 19:31 and you could it at the same way. 19:33 So there's no excuse. 19:35 No excuse. No excuse. 19:37 Sometimes people had a-- 19:38 they don't have a good food to do cooking right away so, 19:43 you know, Taste of Paradise is wonderful place 19:47 to show you how you can fix some healthy meal. 19:51 Hey, you heard it here. The chef said it. 19:53 She said, Taste of Paradise is the crucial tool 19:56 it's the good tool that teaches 19:58 how to prepare some of these delicious recipes. 20:03 Look, now what you need to do, 20:05 I put some while you are talking. 20:07 Yeah. I put them olive oil. 20:09 So we have the olive oil in there. 20:10 And then I put some or just have ready to recipe 20:13 I forgot to put the parsley. 20:15 So we're also gonna add that parsley there. 20:18 You can add this and whatever you find. 20:21 Then I'm gonna go and put some 20:23 little more olive oil here. 20:24 All right. Yeah. 20:26 I think I only put one tablespoons, 20:27 I'm gonna add some one more. 20:29 No worries. 20:30 I can only imagine at the Chinese food stores, 20:34 Chinese food restaurants one other time 20:37 this is age in general how much oil 20:39 they will probably use, you know. 20:40 They usually put a lot. They put a lot. 20:43 Sometimes they put like animal lot. 20:46 Animal lot sometimes who know, 20:48 so now you don't have to worry about that, why? 20:50 'Cause you're doing it yourself at home. 20:52 And then what we have here is about two cups-- 20:55 Two cups brown rice. 20:57 Brown rice just had this cooked. 20:59 The reason why I enjoy this is because sometime 21:02 when I am cooking rice or something 21:05 I make extra so the extra 21:09 I can make some fried rice with that, yeah. 21:11 Okay, there is soy sauce 21:13 I'm gonna put it in here, sesame seeds. 21:15 Sesame. 21:16 And I'm using nutritional yeast flakes 21:19 which is a very high in vitamin B1, B2, B6, B12-- 21:24 Nutritional yeast. 21:25 Wonderful flavor and then this is like sesame seed oil. 21:31 Oh, wow.
