00:01 Nothing is better than service and love together.
00:04 Stay tuned to meet the president of a ministry
00:06 that embodies that very principle.
00:09 My name is Jason Bradley,
00:10 and you're watching Urban Report.
00:34 Hello, and welcome to Urban Report.
00:36 My guest today is Eric Camarillo,
00:38 President of SALT Outreach Ministries.
00:41 Welcome to Urban Report, Eric.
00:43 Yeah. Thanks for having me, man.
00:45 I'm excited to be back here.
00:46 Yes, absolutely,
00:48 because you're clearly no stranger.
00:49 Not a stranger.
00:50 Yeah to 3ABN or Dare to Dream.
00:52 Yeah, yeah. Yes, Yes, absolutely.
00:54 Why don't you give us like a little glimpse into
00:57 what SALT is all about and how it got started?
01:00 Yeah, so SALT is an acronym for service
01:03 and love together.
01:04 It's a we, right now we run
01:06 a homeless day service center for the unsheltered.
01:12 Okay.
01:13 And so, we currently offer
01:17 showers through a shower trailer,
01:19 laundry services, storage services,
01:22 haircuts.
01:24 I mean, you name it those, any basic service we provide.
01:29 And we have a case management, kind of like an evangelistic
01:32 component attached with that as well.
01:33 Wow.
01:34 We started back in 2011, as just kind of
01:39 the reason was to gather our churches together,
01:43 combined resources to really make a difference
01:45 in the community, a measurable difference,
01:46 measurable impact.
01:48 And so it started as a young adult
01:50 led organization and it still is the young adult
01:53 led organization.
01:55 So you come on campus, you'll see a bunch
01:56 of young adults running around, you know,
01:58 helping to meet the needs of the young sheltered there,
02:01 but you get people of all ages of course involved.
02:03 But yeah, it's been a huge blessing.
02:05 Indeed, indeed.
02:06 How old were you when you started SALT?
02:08 Yeah, I was.
02:10 I was about 23 years old when I started.
02:12 Yeah. Wow.
02:13 Wow, 23?
02:14 How did you recognize
02:16 the calling that God was placing on your life?
02:19 You know, it's actually a crazy story.
02:22 And I don't know if I've ever shared it.
02:25 Well, we've got time.
02:26 You got time?
02:28 Okay, I'll share it.
02:29 So I remember I had just quit my job for the Sabbath,
02:32 which is a whole another story.
02:34 You know, they were making me work on the Sabbath,
02:35 I quit that job.
02:37 And I spent about a six month period really just
02:39 spending time with God and asking him,
02:42 "What is it that you want me to do?"
02:43 But not just asking, actually doing certain things
02:45 I was, I was exploring and doing different
02:47 outreach projects.
02:49 And one of those was actually doing,
02:52 going out in at night
02:54 to where all the clubs are in Downtown
02:55 Orlando with some friends of mine.
02:57 We talk to people, create quick relationships
02:59 and ask people if they want prayer.
03:01 And so when at the end of that night,
03:03 it was about three in the morning.
03:05 There was a homeless woman that was sitting on,
03:07 on the step.
03:09 And she was just talking about how God's been good to her
03:12 and all that stuff.
03:13 Now prior to this,
03:15 before we even started this outreach,
03:16 the four of us were in, in a car.
03:19 I believe it was my car at the time.
03:20 We're all asking God to confirm to us,
03:22 what it is He wants to do with our life?
03:24 I say, "God, I think You're calling me
03:26 to be a pastor."
03:27 My other friend said,
03:29 "I think You're calling me to be missionary."
03:30 Other friends said, "I think You're calling me
03:31 to be a missionary in Africa."
03:33 And other friends said, "Evangelist," right?
03:34 So we're all just praying,
03:36 right before we went out to do this outreach,
03:38 and asking God to confirm it.
03:40 So you know, fast forward again,
03:41 to the end of the outreach,
03:43 this homeless woman's on the step
03:44 talking about how God's been good to her.
03:46 All four of us are just kind of there
03:47 sitting with her just listening.
03:49 And all of a sudden she stops.
03:51 And she says, she says, "Give me your hand."
03:55 So I was like, "Okay, you know, here's my hand.
03:58 I don't know what you wanted to do."
03:59 My other friend gave his hand.
04:01 She kissed the back of our hands
04:03 and she, she was kind of like hunched over
04:05 and she stood up straight.
04:06 She pointed at me and said,
04:08 "You're called to be a pastor in the States.
04:10 You are called to being a missionary in Africa.
04:13 You're called to be a missionary in Africa.
04:14 You're called to being an evangelist."
04:16 Everything we asked for God confirmation,
04:18 for confirmation where she confirmed it.
04:20 And after that, she just went back to normal.
04:24 And we were shocked, we were stunned.
04:26 And I remember after that night,
04:29 I mean, you know, it was so unbelievable.
04:31 I had asked my friends, "Hey, did this really happen
04:33 like every three months or six months?"
04:34 Yeah.
04:36 Because it was just so crazy, but, but God confirmed that
04:39 there was a calling on my life for something.
04:41 And I didn't know what it was but,
04:43 but about a month later,
04:45 is when SALT started.
04:47 So it was a, it was really just a crazy experience.
04:51 But yeah, it was, it was a blessing.
04:52 Yeah, that's incredible.
04:54 Walk me through the progression of SALT.
04:57 So you needed a...
04:59 What a change trailer, was that the first thing,
05:02 that you needed?
05:04 So we started with two, two women
05:05 that fed about 15 people.
05:09 It grew to after a few years that was in 2012,
05:11 grew after a few years for hundreds of people feeding
05:14 hundreds of people.
05:15 And in 2016, biweekly,
05:17 2016, we fundraise for a clothing trailer,
05:20 which we call "Change."
05:22 It offered clothing and hygiene product.
05:24 So not only were we doing food,
05:25 we're also doing clothing and hygiene product,
05:27 contained to do surveys,
05:29 realize showers was a huge need.
05:31 So then we fundraise 40,000 which,
05:34 which by the way, half of it was funded from viewers
05:37 from Urban Report and 3ABN.
05:39 Praise God.
05:41 And so we fundraise about 40,000 for a shower trailer,
05:43 provide showers to them.
05:45 Some of them hadn't showered in three months,
05:47 and they were looking for work.
05:48 You said you did surveys.
05:49 So who did you survey?
05:51 We surveyed the, the people experiencing homelessness.
05:54 Yeah, we asked them.
05:56 I, you know, I believe a lot of times
05:59 we assume what someone as homeless needs,
06:02 we just assume what their need is.
06:04 And we don't know their name, you know?
06:06 And I think it's important for us to be able to ask them,
06:09 you know, have focus groups, do surveys.
06:12 I believe any ministry, any kind of outreach ministry
06:15 needs to start with asking the people,
06:17 what is it that you actually need?
06:20 Otherwise, we're just guessing.
06:22 Yes.
06:23 So you were implementing Christ's
06:24 method of evangelism?
06:26 Amen. Yeah.
06:27 Yes. Yeah, I believe so.
06:29 And that's what inspired us. Yeah.
06:30 So this is a very, like hands on
06:33 up close and personal ministry.
06:35 How were you affected in 2020 with COVID-19?
06:40 Yeah, that's a good question.
06:41 So, you know, we had our shower trailer,
06:43 we had a clothing trailer.
06:44 So all together, we're offering showers, clothing,
06:47 hygiene, product, food, and haircuts.
06:52 And so 2020 came, we wanted to operate
06:55 on a weekly basis now,
06:57 because we're only operating once or twice a month.
06:59 So in 2020, came, we hired two part time people
07:01 to operate weekly.
07:03 COVID hit a month later, about March of 2020.
07:06 And we were debating
07:08 as to whether we should continue or not,
07:11 because all the other organizations
07:12 serving the unsheltered at that time
07:14 had shut down.
07:15 Either they weren't taking walk-ins,
07:17 no one could go into the shelters.
07:19 The food shares where they feed
07:20 hundreds of people they stopped,
07:22 so that people experiencing homelessness
07:24 were really left in kind of like a hole,
07:26 left alone.
07:27 So we decided, you know, to just
07:30 and I believe God is the one
07:32 that inspired us to do this to continue operating
07:34 because we're an outside operation.
07:35 We're the safest possible way to provide services
07:38 and the city of Orlando actually back that up.
07:41 And instead of operating once a week,
07:43 we ended up moving to three days a week in 2020.
07:47 Wow.
07:48 So what other services did you add to the mix?
07:53 Yeah, so in about September of 2020,
07:57 we started operating four days a week.
08:00 And then in January of 2021, we added a case management.
08:05 And that case management program
08:07 has been a huge blessing.
08:09 About 50% of the people they saw
08:12 on that first two months, they helped
08:14 take the next step toward ending their homelessness.
08:17 And they were actually able to directly house
08:20 11% of the people they saw, through our,
08:23 through the resources from SALT and through their efforts.
08:27 So that's been a huge blessing.
08:28 We also add a laundry trailer. Nice.
08:30 So yeah, we actually have that as well,
08:34 something you know, we'll show later.
08:36 But our case management program has really been a key,
08:40 an integral part to helping the organization
08:43 grow and to be able to really drive impact
08:46 among the people experiencing homelessness.
08:48 I actually have a picture of our two case managers
08:51 that are running that program.
08:52 One of them is a licensed clinical social worker,
08:54 Renee, she's on the right.
08:56 And on the left is Leslie,
08:58 she's our master's level social worker.
09:00 And together along with six social work interns
09:04 in the spring semester of 2021,
09:07 they were able to, to drive those metrics
09:09 that I just mentioned to you.
09:11 So that was a huge blessing.
09:13 And then the laundry trailer was also huge,
09:14 and, and I have some pictures of that as well.
09:17 We actually launched that April 15 of 2021.
09:20 You can see here that's a picture of some of our team,
09:22 that's some of our interns or security guard,
09:24 our staff members,
09:26 volunteers.
09:28 So that's them there.
09:29 And then the next picture
09:31 is actually a picture of the,
09:35 the mayor making a proclamation.
09:37 So there was actually a ribbon cutting that day
09:39 where the mayor of Orlando came out,
09:42 and, and cut a ribbon with us.
09:45 And he, not only him,
09:47 but other high profile people in the city
09:49 and the commissioners all came together
09:51 to, to recognize what SALT is doing for the community
09:54 and what God is doing through SALT,
09:56 through SALT in that community.
09:57 But also, He made a proclamation
09:59 that every April 15 be SALT day
10:02 or service and love together day
10:04 in the city of Orlando.
10:06 Every April 15?
10:07 April 15, yeah.
10:08 April 15 is SALT day in the City of Orlando.
10:10 That's right. Yeah, it is.
10:12 Look, I might have to take a trip
10:14 to Orlando just on April 15.
10:17 Yeah, yeah. And come check it out.
10:18 Come and enjoy SALT day with us.
10:19 Hopefully you don't get any high blood pressure coming in.
10:22 But, but yeah, no, it'll be great.
10:24 We actually have a news story
10:25 that came out that from that day, too,
10:27 I'd like to share. Oh, yeah.
10:28 Well, let's go ahead and watch that right now.
10:30 Yeah.
10:31 Welcome back.
10:33 You might not have known today's actually
10:34 National Laundry Day, I'm guessing most
10:36 probably didn't find a reason to celebrate.
10:38 Yeah, I had no idea but the City of Orlando
10:40 is celebrating by launching a new first of its kind
10:43 mobile laundry service for the homeless.
10:46 Fox 35's Amanda McKenzie shows us.
10:49 For many people living on the streets,
10:51 finding a place to shower, wash clothes
10:53 and other basic amenities is hard to come by.
10:56 Now there is a new mobile laundry service
10:59 with six commercial washers and dryers
11:01 all free to use for anyone experiencing homelessness.
11:05 This laundry trailer is a new addition
11:07 to other free services
11:08 like a portable shower trailer with space for haircuts.
11:12 You think about it, taking your shower
11:13 if you don't have clean clothing
11:15 to put on after
11:17 you do that certainly just didn't make good,
11:19 good hygiene sense.
11:20 The city is partnering with the organization SALT,
11:23 which stands for service and love together,
11:26 as well as simply healthcare
11:27 to bring this trailer to shelters four days a week.
11:30 Officials estimate they will be able to complete
11:32 up to 240 loads of laundry per week.
11:36 It's all part of the city's efforts
11:37 to ensure every resident has their basic needs
11:40 of clothing, food and hygiene met.
11:43 As we work
11:44 and try to find ways to end homelessness.
11:47 We know
11:49 that we have to do something in the interim.
11:54 To make sure that our homeless residents
11:59 here in the city of Orlando
12:01 know that they are not forgotten.
12:05 We want to let them know that we don't just pass by
12:10 and see a shadow.
12:13 We see them.
12:16 Well, most people see laundry as a chore.
12:18 Today on National Laundry Day, there is reason to celebrate
12:21 this new amenity in the city that will help our neighbors
12:24 without a home have one less thing to worry about.
12:28 In Orlando, Amanda Mackenzie Fox 35 News.
12:32 Wow, that's incredible.
12:34 What do you want to add to that?
12:36 Yeah, so, you know,
12:37 partnership with the city of Orlando has been
12:39 really great for the organization.
12:42 I mean, we're actually gonna be operating six days a week
12:46 starting June 15th of 2021.
12:50 And that, that, that time,
12:53 we're gonna be operating, yeah about eight hours a day,
12:55 six days a week as opposed to three or four days a week,
12:58 which is gonna be huge.
13:00 But in 2020, just with the, just with the partnership
13:02 operating three or four days a week,
13:04 just to kind of give you an idea
13:05 of what we've been able to do with God's help
13:08 is we've been able to serve about 1500 unique individuals,
13:13 unduplicated persons with 30,000 units of service.
13:16 So about 10,000...
13:18 8000 of those units were showers.
13:21 Okay. Direct showers.
13:22 And so we found that 30% of the people we served,
13:26 so that's about 450 people
13:28 took the next step to end their homelessness
13:31 after services with us through a coordinated community effort.
13:34 And 17% took the next step to end their...
13:37 I'm sorry, 17% transition to shelter or housing,
13:41 after services with us through a coordinated effort as well.
13:44 So it shows
13:46 and it validates that these services are needed.
13:49 And that's why the city is continuing
13:51 to support this initiative.
13:53 And not just the city, other businesses,
13:55 other organizations,
13:57 donors have been giving so much.
13:59 In 2020 a lot of nonprofits hit,
14:02 you know, we're, we're struggling with donations
14:05 and donor, you know, just from individuals.
14:07 But our donations ended up doubling during that time
14:10 because they saw the value of what SALT was doing
14:12 during the pandemic for the unsheltered.
14:15 I mean, unfortunately,
14:17 last year, one in five people that we saw
14:19 were new to homelessness.
14:20 Wow.
14:22 Because and most, a lot of them it was because of COVID-19.
14:26 And we're seeing that trend continue
14:28 just, just this first quarter of 2021.
14:30 About 17% of, 17% or 18% of the people we served
14:35 were new to homelessness,
14:37 to first time being homeless.
14:38 I can tell you stories, man, it's, it's, it's tough.
14:41 Yeah.
14:42 Yeah, I can't imagine what that must be like,
14:44 you know, one minute you're in a house
14:46 or an apartment or something along those lines
14:49 and the next minute, you're on the street.
14:51 But I know that they're happy to see SALT in the community,
14:53 because you're making a difference.
14:55 Yeah, praise God, man. Yes.
14:56 Yeah. Yes.
14:58 How has starting SALT
15:00 and seeing the growth that God has brought about,
15:04 how has that strengthened your faith?
15:07 Yeah.
15:09 You know, that there's a Bible verse that says,
15:12 "That God will answer our prayers above,
15:16 above what we ask or what we even think."
15:18 Right?
15:19 And, and, you know, we thought,
15:22 we dreamed of us eventually growing to this point,
15:26 you know, to be, not, not just for the sake of growth,
15:29 but because we know, as we grow,
15:31 we can deliver a much higher impact,
15:33 you know, with the people that we're serving.
15:35 But we didn't think it would happen so soon.
15:38 I mean, within a year,
15:39 we entered 2020,
15:40 as an all volunteer organization.
15:42 And at this moment, right now, we have like 13 employees,
15:46 and a total of 30 team members
15:49 that are helping to make all of these run.
15:52 And we're about to hire five more people right now
15:54 to operate six days a week.
15:56 It's, it's really mind blowing,
15:58 you know, it is and, and God just continues
16:01 to just kind of answer...
16:04 There was, let me give you an example.
16:06 Okay, of how, how intricately
16:08 and how involved God is with this ministry.
16:10 So just on the fundraising side,
16:13 just talking the fundraising side,
16:15 I know that we were needing to raise
16:18 an additional about 50,000
16:21 for the case management program.
16:23 I remember being kind of stressed out about it,
16:25 you know, and I was going to God,
16:26 "God, I don't know what we're going to do,
16:28 we launched this program in faith,
16:30 and because we know it's needed,
16:32 but we need Your help to help fund this thing."
16:35 And so, at that moment, we need a 50,000,
16:38 I got a phone call from an acquaintance of mine,
16:41 just kind of asking, "Hey, tell me a little bit about
16:44 how things are going and all that"
16:46 and, and I told him, he's like,
16:48 "What are your needs right now?"
16:49 I'm like, "Well, you know, one of our biggest needs
16:51 is our case management program.
16:52 We need at least 50,000 right now
16:54 to keep things kind of going and moving
16:56 because it's been, it's been really well
16:58 working really well."
17:00 He's like, "Okay, I'll get a check
17:01 for 50,000 out to you by Tuesday."
17:04 I said, I said, "What?" Wow!
17:06 Yeah, that was just straight up.
17:08 So answered the prayer.
17:09 It couldn't be anyone, anything else.
17:11 And He was God answering that prayer.
17:14 And so, you know, it's been, it's been a huge
17:20 blessing for, for myself and for our team
17:24 to experience God in such an, in such an intimate way
17:29 through ministry.
17:30 And obviously, with our clients,
17:32 there are countless testimonies of,
17:33 of God using our team to really help someone get employment,
17:38 to eventually get a home, or to help someone
17:41 you know, someone get baptized or,
17:43 or learn or accept Christ.
17:45 You know, there's, there's so much it's,
17:47 it's been, it's been huge, man.
17:49 Yeah.
17:50 What's some of the feedback that you receive
17:53 from individuals that are homeless?
17:57 You know, I think, the most common thing
18:00 that we get which, which we love to hear,
18:04 and it's confirmation from God that I believed
18:07 that we're going in the right direction is,
18:10 you know, constantly we hear that
18:13 the one thing that people love about our organization,
18:16 why they keep coming back for services.
18:19 And you know, obviously they need the services but
18:22 they, they love coming back
18:23 because they say that they know that we care,
18:25 like they know that we actually care about them.
18:28 This isn't actually a job.
18:29 You know, they witnessed us going from just feeding them
18:33 with just a little, little food that we had to then asking,
18:36 okay, what do you need?
18:37 Clothing. Okay, clothing trailer pops up.
18:39 What do you need?
18:40 Showers.
18:41 Okay, shower trailer pops up, or what do you need?
18:43 Laundry.
18:44 Laundry trailer pops up.
18:46 Case management pops up to help get them into housing.
18:48 You know, pastoral, we brought on an outreach pastor
18:53 that was brought on to help meet the spiritual need,
18:55 because they couldn't go into the church anymore
18:57 with COVID-19.
18:58 So they were, they were missing out on church,
19:00 they didn't have any kind of a spiritual environment
19:04 anymore, no fellowship.
19:05 And so, with our, with our evangelism department,
19:08 we're able to kind of provide church to them.
19:11 Our outreach pastor does service for them
19:13 twice, twice a month. Okay.
19:15 And he's starting a weekly Bible study with them.
19:17 And the, the main thing that he's doing, his main job
19:20 is to really just create relationships with them.
19:23 And so that's what he's doing.
19:25 He's creating those relationships.
19:26 He's spent two or three months doing that,
19:28 and now
19:30 he's gonna be starting that weekly Bible study now,
19:32 and inviting those friends that he's made to that study.
19:35 That's huge. That's huge.
19:37 Yeah.
19:38 I remember there was one time I was doing
19:41 3ABN Today program with you.
19:43 And you mentioned, you spoke about this pastor,
19:46 and you said that he even cleans the toilets.
19:49 He cleans the showers.
19:51 How did that speak to the homeless community?
19:55 Yeah, yeah.
19:56 So a lot of, and he'll tell you himself,
20:00 majority of the people experiencing homelessness
20:02 have had some type of spiritual community in the past,
20:06 have, have, have maybe been burned by the church
20:10 and, and they have what nothing to do with God,
20:14 you know, some of them.
20:15 And so when they see a pastor,
20:18 and they call him their pastor.
20:20 He's the pastor for the unsheltered
20:22 there in Orlando, you know.
20:23 Yes, yes.
20:25 And so they see him cleaning the toilet
20:26 after they just use it,
20:28 you know, they see him wiping down the shower
20:30 after they just took a shower and sanitizing.
20:33 They see him, he's there helping them
20:35 get their laundry done,
20:36 helping them get registered for services.
20:38 He's working in the midst of our outreach services.
20:41 But he's earning their respect.
20:43 He's built, he's building trust.
20:44 And, and he's, and at the same time,
20:47 he's creating relationships and friendships with them.
20:50 So it's, it's really been, it's really,
20:53 I think, changed their perspective
20:55 on what pastoral ministry looks like.
20:57 Yes.
20:58 A lot of people think suit, tie, desk,
20:59 preach on the pulpit,
21:01 you know that, that's how, that's how a lot of people
21:03 envision pastoral ministry.
21:05 Him as a pastor doing these things
21:07 is just a night and day difference,
21:09 you know, to show, in their perspective
21:12 of what that looks like, you know so.
21:14 Yeah. Just boots on the ground.
21:15 Boots on the ground. Yeah.
21:16 Hitting the community hard in spreading the gospel.
21:19 I love it.
21:20 Practical Christianity for sure.
21:23 Tell us a little bit about a miracle story,
21:26 because I know that
21:27 you needed an office building too.
21:29 We did.
21:30 Yeah, we did need an office building.
21:32 And we had been praying for years
21:34 and we didn't know how that would happen.
21:36 We've been envisioning it, coming up with plans and,
21:39 and just asking God,
21:41 "God, I don't know, how is it gonna happen,
21:42 we don't have the funding to get a building."
21:46 So we created a partnership
21:47 with the Christian Service Center,
21:49 that's where we're operating now.
21:50 It's called the Christian Service Center.
21:51 And, and we were the first organization
21:54 of about nine that
21:56 they're adding to their property.
21:57 All organizations catered
21:59 to helping the unsheltered population.
22:01 One organization helps with employment,
22:02 another one helps with housing,
22:04 we help with those basic services
22:06 and basic case management.
22:08 There's another organization that helps with STD screenings,
22:11 HIV screenings, stuff like that.
22:13 So we're the ones that bring traffic onto that property.
22:16 And so they were so grateful,
22:20 you know, for that partnership,
22:21 and, and for, they see the value that SALT
22:25 is bringing to their operation.
22:26 Yes, yes.
22:28 That they said, you know what, here's a building.
22:30 And so they gave us one of their buildings
22:33 to work out of.
22:34 Wow. And they're not charging us rent.
22:36 They're not charging us rent.
22:38 They just say, "Hey, pay the power."
22:39 "Okay, we'll pay the power bill," you know.
22:41 That is huge.
22:42 And so we have a conference room now,
22:44 we have a barber station, that a boy scout troop
22:48 that was trying to get to an eagle scout.
22:50 He went ahead and rebuilt that whole room
22:52 into a whole barber room.
22:53 Wow.
22:55 We have a break room.
22:57 There's a kitchen in there.
22:58 There's administrative offices, outreach office,
23:01 a case management office with a whole bunch of desks,
23:03 huge area, big storage room.
23:05 I mean, it was more again, above and beyond what we,
23:11 what we asked or even thought was possible.
23:13 Yes. Yeah, yeah.
23:15 It was a huge blessing, man.
23:16 Yeah, that is incredible.
23:18 And I know they feel like a completely different person
23:22 when they get that haircut too.
23:23 Oh, yeah, yeah.
23:24 That haircut makes a difference.
23:26 I mean, you go there, and, and they come there,
23:28 they get, they get their shower
23:29 while they're getting their shower,
23:30 their laundry is getting done.
23:32 While that's happening, they do,
23:34 you know, they, they're getting a haircut scheduled.
23:36 And I mean, it's a whole transformation process
23:38 that's happening there.
23:40 Their confidence is built, they sit with a case manager,
23:42 they create a plan together
23:43 on how to get to that next step to end their homelessness.
23:46 I mean, it's, it's a transformative process.
23:49 Amen.
23:51 And by God's grace, it's,
23:52 it's making a difference, you know.
23:54 Speaking of next steps, what's next for SALT?
23:56 What's next for SALT?
23:57 Well, SALT is,
24:01 we're realizing and our team is realizing the immense need
24:04 for these services, especially now.
24:06 Now more than ever,
24:08 we're working on duplicating these services,
24:11 and expanding them to other cities that need them.
24:13 Not every city can afford
24:15 to have a day service center in their city.
24:19 Not every city even necessarily wants one,
24:23 you know and when I say that is it's needed
24:26 but it's hard, when you have something like
24:29 that in their city.
24:31 Now the unsheltered are gathering
24:32 in that locations,
24:34 the business owners are, are not liking it maybe.
24:37 The city is not liking all that,
24:38 but because we bring it all in a mobile form,
24:42 we could literally just uproot and go anywhere.
24:45 Yes.
24:46 So the exciting thing is, is we're,
24:49 we're looking and praying,
24:51 and we believe God has us in actually three different cities
24:54 that we might be expanding to, they're in Florida.
24:57 And but you know, we're really needing
25:00 the funding to make that happen.
25:02 And that's kind of
25:03 where we're needing the most help right now.
25:05 Let's talk about some of your needs.
25:07 Besides the funding, what else do you need?
25:09 Are you looking for volunteers as well or?
25:12 Yeah, we're looking for...
25:13 I mean, first and foremost, prayer is,
25:15 is, is how anyone can contribute,
25:17 no matter where you are, what you're doing.
25:19 We need the prayers.
25:21 And it's clear, it's evident that,
25:22 that these prayers have been helping the organization
25:25 because God has been moving in so many different ways,
25:28 not only in the lives of our clients,
25:30 but in the lives of our team members,
25:32 in the lives of, in the fundraising aspect,
25:35 even in the organizational aspect.
25:38 But volunteers is also a huge need,
25:41 you know, we need people with expertise,
25:43 people that want to be involved in some way,
25:45 on the ground or maybe remote, you know,
25:49 but yeah, definitely,
25:52 you know, that, besides, you know, obviously,
25:54 the obvious need, which is funding...
25:57 Absolutely.
25:59 Is expertise and that's kind of thing.
26:00 I mean, one of our next steps is to create a business
26:03 that will generate income for the organization.
26:05 Yes.
26:06 That's something that
26:07 we're gonna be working on as well.
26:09 That's huge.
26:10 What I want our viewers and listeners to know
26:11 how they can support you.
26:13 So we're gonna put up your contact info
26:14 and if you would just read that for us.
26:16 That would be good. Yeah, I can do that.

26:52 continue to because they have in the past
26:54 and it's, it's so exciting to see you come back
26:57 because each time you come back,
27:00 it's like you've just gone up another step.
27:02 So, let's say you're talking about a change trailer.
27:06 Okay, so now you come back
27:07 and it's like we get to see the change trailer.
27:09 Yeah, yeah.
27:11 You talked about a laundry trailer.
27:12 You come back.
27:14 We get to see the laundry trailer.
27:15 I mean, it is exciting.
27:17 It's exciting. Yeah, yeah, it is.
27:18 And it's a testimony of God's, God's goodness and,
27:23 and just the testimony of Him answering our prayers,
27:25 you know, and, and like you said
27:27 the viewers on this show on 3ABN.
27:30 They're all been contributing consistently and really helping
27:34 to make this happen and we're so grateful.
27:36 Yeah.
27:38 We're grateful for what you're doing
27:39 for the cause of Christ, man, and we appreciate
27:41 your dedication to the mission and,
27:43 and what you are putting forth
27:46 to just continue to go forward and spread the gospel.
27:48 So thanks you for coming on and sharing.
27:50 Yeah.
27:51 I want you to thank you for joining us.
27:53 Well, we've reached the end of another program.
27:54 Until next time, God bless.
