00:26 Welcome to our 3ABN Worship Hour today. 00:29 Thank you so much for taking the time to tune in and join us 00:32 for this thought provoking message 00:36 that is going to come to you from God's Word today entitled 00:40 ''The Deception Pandemic." 00:46 I'm gonna ask for you to really 00:49 ask for the Lord to calibrate your thoughts today 00:51 and your mind that you will hear 00:54 what the Lord has in store for you. 00:57 You'll listen keenly to His Word 01:00 and know that what God is saying today 01:02 is not only relevant to the times, 01:04 but necessary as we look at the world before us. 01:08 But before we go any further, let us bow our heads 01:10 and ask for the Lord to guide us 01:12 as we open His Word. 01:14 Loving Father in heaven, thank You for Your Word, 01:19 which is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our paths. 01:23 We do pray for guidance and wisdom from above, 01:25 and we pray that not only will the content 01:28 and the communication be clear, 01:31 but that you will allow those 01:32 who are tuning their ears for the Spirit of God to speak 01:36 to each heart today. 01:38 May they receive the message and make the decision necessary 01:41 to be prepared for what is coming, 01:44 in Jesus' name I pray. 01:46 Amen. 01:50 'The Deception Pandemic. 01:54 You know, if there is anything that 2020 has taught us, 01:58 it is the warning by which Jesus introduced 02:01 to the last days 02:03 is more applicable now than ever before. 02:08 Listen to the words of Christ in Matthew 24:4. 02:11 Listen to what He says and notice how relevant it is 02:15 to the time in which we're living. 02:17 We just went through the most challenging election season. 02:21 We're now brimming over into a new year. 02:23 But there are things that are ahead of us 02:25 that are so pertinent to calibrate our ears and minds 02:29 to the words of Jesus. 02:30 He says in Matthew 24:4, 02:33 as the disciples asked for the signs, 02:35 "Jesus said to them, 02:37 'Take heed that no one deceives you.'" 02:42 Notice those words, 02:43 take heed that no one deceives you. 02:47 Jesus introduced the signs of the end, 02:51 how amazing and how relevant it is. 02:52 He began by saying, make sure that no one deceives you. 02:56 And I say once again, 02:57 if there is anything that 2020 has taught us, 03:01 it is deception is at an all time high 03:05 and will increase until the greatest deception of all, 03:09 the appearing of Satan. 03:13 How's that going to happen? 03:15 Let me begin with a story. 03:17 It was called the people's temple. 03:20 Under the self-proclaimed pastor 03:22 named James Warren Jones, a.k.a. 03:26 Jim Jones also known as Reverend Jones. 03:30 He was ordained in 1957 03:33 by The Independent Assemblies of God. 03:35 And in 1964, by the disciples of Christ. 03:40 He gained in his popularity until he moved his congregation 03:44 to California in 1965, 03:47 there you can see him preaching to his congregation 03:50 and reminding them of all the dogmas 03:52 that he held to be dear to him. 03:55 He gained notoriety 03:57 with its activities in the San Francisco area 04:00 in the 1970s, 04:02 but as his popularity and also the tensions grew, 04:05 he left the United States 04:07 bringing many of his members to a Guyanese jungle 04:11 commune that many of us know as Jonestown. 04:14 The sad reality is on November 18th, 1978, 04:20 914 plus committed suicide 04:24 by drinking cyanide laced juice. 04:28 Some say Kool-Aid, some say fruit punch. 04:32 The fact of the matter is it was poison laced. 04:35 And he was able to deceive more than 900 people. 04:39 Some of them by force into committing mass suicide. 04:44 What happened that Jim Jones was set up as a cult leader. 04:47 Listen carefully. 04:49 He deceived his followers by using religion as a cloak 04:52 for his deception. 04:53 He conditioned them to accept him 04:56 as the only one telling the truth. 04:58 He manipulated them into rejecting any warnings. 05:02 And when his deceptions were uncovered, 05:05 he told his followers not to listen. 05:08 He became the barrier between his followers and reality. 05:13 He led them to rely on emotion and hype 05:15 and ignore the truth of God's Word. 05:18 He created the notion 05:20 that anyone that disagree with him 05:22 is a part of a devious force out to destroy them. 05:26 And that's how he led them to encase themselves 05:29 in this Jonestown community. 05:32 When you think about a deception is perpetuated 05:34 on the following premise. 05:36 People have an overwhelming desire to believe in something. 05:40 And cult leaders become the focal point of that desire. 05:44 And then begin to manipulate their minds. 05:46 Cult leaders distract their followers from the truth. 05:51 They tell them only 05:53 what they want their followers to believe. 05:57 But when you think about that, that's not new, that's old. 06:00 That's exactly what Satan did in the beginning. 06:02 In the very beginning in the Garden of Eden 06:04 that's the tool that Satan used. 06:06 He told Eve 06:08 that she should be more concerned about 06:10 what God said than what he was saying. 06:14 In other words, God is not really being upfront with you. 06:19 So let me tell you what I think is the real truth. 06:21 And as we know the story, 06:22 Eve was deceived and we find that in Genesis 3:1, 06:26 notice what the Bible says. 06:28 It says, "Now the serpent was more cunning 06:30 than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. 06:34 And he said to the woman, 'Has God indeed said, 06:37 you shall not eat of every tree of the garden.'" 06:41 He began by saying to Eve, 06:43 God is not really squaring up with you. 06:45 Is God limiting you from eating from every tree of the garden. 06:48 While the fact was, God was only limiting one tree. 06:51 God had made everything available 06:53 to Adam and Eve. 06:55 But that's the kind of deception we find 06:57 in cult leaders, 06:58 in deceptive preachers and Ponzi schemes, 07:02 in get rich quick schemes. 07:04 They all use the very same approach 07:07 because the number one focus is they want to deceive. 07:10 In Romans the Apostle Paul reveals 07:13 in Romans Chapter 16 exactly 07:16 what is behind the art of deception. 07:18 Listen to his words, Romans 16:18. 07:21 He says, 07:23 "For those who are such 07:25 do not serve the Lord Jesus Christ, 07:27 but their own belly, 07:29 and by smooth words and flattering speech 07:34 deceive the hearts of the simple." 07:37 Now what happens to a person that's simple. 07:39 You know, the Bible removes the simplicity in our minds. 07:42 The entrance of God's Word gives light. 07:45 If we allow God's Word to be our guide, 07:47 it removes simplicity. 07:50 Not that simplicity is a difficult thing 07:52 or a bad thing. 07:54 It's good when you have a simple diet, 07:56 but when your mind is uninformed, 07:58 you fall into the category of simple. 08:00 And somebody comes along with smooth words 08:02 and flattering speech. 08:04 And before you know it, you are in their grasp. 08:07 That's why Jesus warned through the Apostle Paul, 08:10 that deception would be Satan's master weapon. 08:15 Look at 2 Corinthians 11:3. 08:18 Paul the Apostle warns us again. 08:21 He says, "But I fear, 08:23 lest somehow as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, 08:28 so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity 08:31 that is in Christ." 08:32 There's that word again, the simplicity 08:35 that is in Christ. 08:36 In other words, when you're following 08:38 God's Word, the simplicity that Jesus gives us, 08:41 he says, it's not difficult. 08:42 It's not complicated. It's not hard to understand. 08:45 But Satan's simplicity that he takes advantage of is, 08:48 he clouds the scenario and he pours into it something 08:53 that will inoculate you away from the truth 08:56 to a point of deception. 08:58 It's amazing how the Bible is clear 09:01 about where the world is headed. 09:03 You see the deception that is talked about 09:05 in these two verses is describing a deception 09:08 that is about to be unleashed on the world 09:11 when such unimaginable magnitude 09:15 that only those kept by the Word of God 09:18 will be safe. 09:19 Look at Matthew 24:24. 09:21 Again, the words of Jesus concerning the end times. 09:26 He says, "For false christs and false prophets 09:31 will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, 09:37 if possible, even the elect." 09:42 It's going to be amazing. 09:43 In other words, if you are not a part of the elect, 09:46 those whose minds are guarded by God's Word, 09:49 those whose lives have been furnished 09:51 by the truth in God's Word. 09:52 If you are not a part of the elect, 09:55 you are going to be deceived. 09:57 The elect will be shielded by God's Word. 09:59 The elect will be clad in the whole armor of God. 10:05 The elect will be shielded by obedience 10:08 to the commandments of God. 10:10 They will be obedient to the law of God, 10:12 all of the parameters for protection from deception, 10:16 God's Word, the whole armor of God 10:18 and obedience to His law. 10:21 But I take note as one of my favorite authors, 10:23 Ellen White points out in a very well-known book, 10:26 entitled Selected Messages, 10:28 book 3, page 389 and paragraph 1. 10:32 Listen to what she says, vitally important. 10:36 She says, "There is a work to be done for this time 10:38 in fitting a people to stand in the day of trouble, 10:42 and all must act their part in this work. 10:47 They must be clothed 10:48 with the righteousness of Christ, 10:51 and be so fortified by the truth 10:54 that the delusions of Satan shall not be accepted by them 10:59 as genuine manifestations of the power of God." 11:03 That's amazing. 11:04 When a person's life is secured by God's Word, 11:08 Satan's deceptions cannot come in. 11:10 When you are fortified. 11:12 That's what the people that create the cereal said it. 11:14 The Cheerios, I remember years ago, 11:16 they said fortified and also had special cake, 11:19 fortified with iron. 11:20 They're putting nutrients in it. 11:23 God's Word is the most nutritious fortified food 11:27 that we can partake of. 11:29 It fortifies our mind. 11:31 It clears our thinking. 11:32 It sharpens our eyesight. 11:35 It gives us discernment. 11:37 Only then can the people of God find safety in the Word of God. 11:43 But when you study God's Word, 11:44 you'll find that there's a coalition coming together 11:46 in the closing hours of earth's history 11:49 that are going to play a role in marshaling the world 11:53 in perceptibly into the last great conflict. 11:58 And the force has spoken up in Revelation 12:00 of very demonic forces. 12:01 Look at Revelation 16:14. 12:04 The Bible talks about the forces, the dark forces 12:08 that are uniting for this last great deceptive push. 12:12 Revelation says, 12:14 "For they are the spirits of demons, 12:17 performing signs, 12:18 which go out to the kings of the earth 12:21 and of the whole world, 12:23 to gather them to the battle 12:25 of that great day of God Almighty." 12:27 That's amazing. 12:29 Demons, spirits of demons. 12:32 They're not using simple tools, they're performing signs. 12:36 And they're going out to the political leaders, 12:39 to the religious leaders, to the economic leaders, 12:43 to the kings of the earth, 12:44 and also the inhabitants of the world 12:46 and the whole world. 12:48 And the number one aim is to gather them together 12:50 to be on Satan's army in his last deceptive push, 12:56 the deceptive pandemic, in his last push 12:59 against the government of God. 13:02 But there's something that's gonna take 13:03 a twist right now. 13:05 Not only will the spirits of demons be at work. 13:10 But let me suggest to you today. 13:12 And we'll see the support in God's Word, 13:14 but Satan himself will appear on earth 13:19 in the closing scenes of the last days. 13:23 My brothers and sisters, 13:25 he has been preparing for that moment 13:28 for thousands of years. 13:30 He has been long preparing for the deception 13:33 that the world is unaware of. 13:36 But why am I saying that? 13:37 If you notice the trend, in just the year 2020, 13:42 how truth was so rejected. 13:44 How fact became fact only to those who decided 13:47 what fact or what truth 13:49 that they would believe as reliable. 13:52 Our world is at a place 13:53 where truth is not really welcomed. 13:54 In fact is open for interpretation. 13:57 Satan knowing that and seeing the course 13:59 that he has taken for thousands of years 14:02 knows that the world is ripe 14:04 and he's getting them ready. 14:06 That's why the last deception will be easier 14:09 because this generation rejects truth. 14:13 But what makes it even darker 14:14 is when you put deception behind a Christian exterior, 14:20 it gives deception a greater ability to deceive. 14:24 And by the way, you know, Satan is the master deceiver, 14:29 because his exterior 14:31 can be easily changed to make people think 14:34 that he is not who he actually is. 14:37 Look at the Apostle Paul's words 14:39 in 2 Corinthians 11:14-15. 14:42 The Apostle Paul shows us 14:44 how the devil is going to do this. 14:46 He says, "And no wonder! 14:48 For Satan himself 14:50 transforms himself into an angel of light." 14:52 Verse 15, "Therefore it is no great thing 14:56 if his ministers also transform themselves 15:00 into ministers of righteousness, 15:02 whose end will be according to their works." 15:07 Satan has ministers 15:08 who are transformed to look the part, 15:11 but behind the curtain, 15:13 there's something else at work there. 15:15 Behind the exterior, there's a darker force there. 15:20 Notice in the book Darkness before Dawn, 15:22 page 33, paragraph 1, how Ellen White describes this. 15:27 How she gives us a behind the scenes look 15:29 at how this deception is successful. 15:32 She says, "As spiritualism more closely 15:35 imitates the nominal Christianity of the day, 15:39 it has greater power to deceive and ensnare. 15:41 Satan himself is converted, 15:44 after the modern order of things. 15:46 He will appear in the character of an angel of light. 15:50 Through the agency of spiritualism, 15:52 miracles will be wrought, the sick will be healed, 15:55 and many undeniable wonders will be performed. 15:58 And as the spirits will profess faith in the Bible, 16:02 and manifest respect 16:03 for the institutions of the church, 16:05 their work will be accepted 16:08 as a manifestation of divine power." 16:12 Wow. 16:14 As the devil makes it appear as though, 16:15 hey, we're religious. 16:17 Look at our exterior. 16:19 That's why, friends, 16:20 never judge a book by its cover. 16:23 Whether good or bad, don't stop on the cover. 16:25 Look at the content. 16:27 Demand a plane thus saith the Lord. 16:29 But in order to understand 16:31 how the devil is going to do this, 16:32 we have to understand his initial claim 16:35 to really allow his final deceptive plans 16:38 to be clear in our minds. 16:39 Let's go back to Isaiah Chapter 14 16:41 and notice Satan's initial claim. 16:44 Let's look at verse 13 and 14. 16:48 Now God is speaking to the devil. 16:49 He says, "For you have said in your heart: 16:51 'I will ascend into heaven, 16:53 I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, 16:57 I will also sit on the mount of the congregation 16:59 on the farthest sides of the north, 17:01 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, 17:04 I will be like the Most High.'" 17:08 Those are the claims that Satan made 17:09 to the face of God. 17:11 The Lord said, that's what you said, 17:13 but if you follow along further, 17:14 that's not what happened. 17:16 You see, friends, Satan failed 17:18 in his initial attempt to be like the Most High. 17:21 His struggle to confiscate God's authority was defeated, 17:27 but he did not abandon his desire. 17:30 He changed his location, 17:32 but he did not change his ambition. 17:35 What he said in the very beginning, 17:36 he followed that course from century to century, 17:40 from millennia to millennia. 17:42 And in the end time, 17:44 what he's been planning for thousands of years 17:46 will come to fruition 17:48 as a grand overwhelming surprise 17:51 to all of humanity. 17:54 Look what the Bible says in 2 Thessalonians 2: 3-4. 17:58 The Bible shows 17:59 how this is going to take place. 18:01 Here are the words of the Apostle Paul. 18:03 He says, "Let no one deceive you by any means, 18:07 for that Day will not come 18:09 unless the falling away comes first, 18:13 and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 18:18 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God 18:24 or that is worshiped, 18:26 so that he sits as God in the temple of God 18:30 showing himself that he is God." 18:34 Now notice that. 18:35 Throughout the course of our preaching, 18:37 we have always applied that verse 18:39 just to the Roman pontiff 18:42 usurping God's earthly authority. 18:45 But when the Apostle Paul spoke these words, 18:46 it was far broader than that because the Apostle Paul, 18:50 as you saw so far in his cadence, 18:52 he was unmasking the grand deceiver. 18:55 He was speaking about the great deceiver 18:57 that serpent of old called the devil and Satan 19:00 who deceives the whole world. 19:01 He was referring to him. 19:03 And the other part of it is he says, 19:05 he's gonna sit as God in the temple of God, 19:08 claiming himself to be God. 19:11 How is Satan going to sit in the temple of God, 19:18 claiming to be God? 19:19 And you'll notice something very clear. 19:21 This is factual. 19:23 The temple of God was never presupposed to be in Rome. 19:26 It was never presupposed to be in the Vatican 19:29 even though he works from that seat. 19:32 Look at the book, The Spirit of Prophecy, 19:34 volume 2, page 14 and paragraph 1. 19:38 There's something that set up the Jewish nation 19:41 to be in the position 19:43 to allow Satan to come to the very place 19:47 that people are looking there in the Middle East, 19:49 there in the city of peace, Jerusalem, 19:53 that Satan is going to establish 19:55 his grand final deception to the world. 19:57 But how will that happen? 19:59 What kind of foundation was being laid 20:02 for that to be able to be perpetrated? 20:05 Look at this quotation. 20:07 "The Jewish nation had corrupted their religion 20:11 by useless ceremonies and customs... 20:14 Had they, with humble minds and spiritual discernment 20:19 studied the prophecies, 20:21 they would not have been found in so great error 20:25 as to overlook the prophecies 20:27 which pointed to his first advent in humility, 20:32 and misapply those which spoke of his 20:35 second coming with power and great glory." 20:39 What is being said here? 20:40 When Jesus arrived, you know, the Bible story, 20:43 Matthew, Mark, Luke and John covers it amazingly. 20:45 When Jesus walked the earth, 20:47 He was rejected by the very people 20:49 that He had given the truth for more than a thousand years. 20:52 Because they expected Jesus to come in this power 20:55 and great glory and overthrow the Roman empire 20:58 and put them in the seat of control. 21:00 But he came as a humble babe. 21:02 He came as a babe in a manger, 21:04 and everything about his approach to the life 21:07 that He lived was rejected by the Jewish rabbis 21:10 and leaders and the Pharisees and Scribes 21:13 and ultimately they led to His crucifixion. 21:16 So today because they rejected Jesus, 21:20 the lie has been told for centuries that the Messiah 21:22 really never came. 21:24 Satan knowing that is setting the very stage 21:28 to make the world think that since the Jews, 21:31 the people of God of old 21:33 have said, the Messiah never came. 21:35 It's a perfect scenario 21:38 to introduce myself to the world. 21:41 We know the Jewish leaders 21:42 rejected the Messiah's first advent. 21:45 But recent political developments 21:47 in Jerusalem 21:49 started to thrill the Jewish leaders 21:51 because they believe that these changes are preparatory 21:56 to the first advent of the Messiah. 21:59 Look at this graphic. 22:01 It's Israelitoday.co.io. That's the website. 22:06 And the date is August 3rd, 2020 top rabbis 22:10 look at the signs and it says, Messiah is coming. 22:16 But listen to the article content. 22:19 "He's already at the door, 22:21 according to leading Israeli Torah scholar, 22:24 Rabbi Shlomo, Amar, 22:27 the former Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Israel, 22:31 told a gathering earlier this month 22:34 that the list of significant signs 22:37 over the past year simply cannot be ignored. 22:41 Israel seems unable to elect a governor. 22:44 But United States, President Trump, 22:46 the most powerful leader in the world, 22:48 has, like King Cyrus endorsed Jewish sovereignty 22:53 in the Promised Land. 22:55 The kings of the world came up to Jerusalem last month 22:58 to honor the Jewish people. 23:01 "These are things we never dreamed of!" 23:05 exclaimed Rabbi Amar. 23:08 But look at his ending question. 23:09 "How can these things be if not as preparation 23:14 for the coming of the Messiah? 23:17 Or Mashiah as they would pronounce it. 23:21 So looking at the events that took place, 23:23 the moving of the embassy to Jerusalem, 23:25 they said, how can this possibly be 23:27 unless it is preparatory to the coming Messiah? 23:31 People that rejected the Messiah 23:35 are still looking for His first advent. 23:38 But according to the Bible, 23:40 Jesus is getting ready for His second advent. 23:45 Do you see how easily deception can be perpetrated? 23:48 Do you see how easily Satan can say, 23:51 what a perfect scenario. 23:54 This is what they're looking for, 23:56 but this is what I'm going to give them. 23:57 They're looking for Jesus to come the first time, 24:01 but I know that Jesus is coming the second time. 24:05 And I'm going to perpetrate my deception on the very heels 24:09 of their misguided understanding 24:12 of the scriptures. 24:14 And here's the reality. 24:15 When you reject the entire New Testament 24:17 as irrelevant, 24:19 then you miss 24:21 the very significant part of the story of Christ. 24:24 And therefore you are wide open for deception 24:27 and that's exactly what has happened 24:30 among the Jewish people. 24:31 But notice the quotation, it goes even further. 24:34 In that very same quotation, Israelitoday.co.io, 24:37 August 3rd, 2020, the article continues. 24:40 Listen to what it says, "Rabbi Amar went on to say, 24:45 "All the great rabbis of this generation are saying 24:49 that the Messiah is about to reveal himself. 24:53 All the signs the prophets gave, 24:56 all the signs predicted in the Gemara. 25:00 the Mishnah, the Midrash, everything is taking place, 25:05 one by one." 25:07 And then he ends by saying, 25:08 "All we need is to remain strong 25:12 for a little bit longer." 25:15 He is saying, it's happening, brethren. 25:18 The rabbis are saying it's happening. 25:19 They're uniting in their opinion, 25:21 they're saying the Messiah is coming 25:23 for His first advent. 25:25 But the deceptive pandemic is this. 25:29 They rejected the first advent 25:31 and Satan is going to use that as a platform 25:34 to deceive the whole world 25:36 through a people that many still today believe 25:40 are God's chosen nation. 25:44 How amazing it is. 25:46 But look at the statement that Jesus made concerning 25:51 His second advent. 25:53 And we'll understand 25:54 that He's not coming to physical Jerusalem 25:56 in the Middle East and the Bible lands 25:58 or the Holy lands. 26:00 He's coming to get us ready to go to the new Jerusalem. 26:03 He's not coming to reign on earth 26:04 like many people believe, 26:06 He's coming to take us to the place 26:08 that even now as I speak, 26:09 He's preparing for you and for me. 26:11 Look at the words of Christ once again in Matthew 24:23-24. 26:18 Here's what Jesus said, 26:20 "Then if anyone says to you, 26:22 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There!' do not believe it. 26:28 For false christs and false prophets 26:30 will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive 26:35 if possible, even the elect." 26:37 And then Jesus said, "See, I have told you beforehand." 26:42 In other words, I've warned you. 26:44 If somebody says He's here or there, 26:46 if somebody says he's in the Middle East or in Asia 26:49 or New York or on the islands of the sea 26:52 or down in Australia or on Bermuda. 26:55 If they say that Christ is anywhere on the earth, 26:58 do not believe it. 27:01 Because when I come back the second time, 27:02 I'm not coming back to touch the earth. 27:04 You're going to ascend to meet me in the air. 27:07 I've already come. I've already walked the earth. 27:09 I'm not coming a second time to walk on the earth. 27:13 I'm not coming a second time to reign on the earth. 27:16 I'm coming that you may reign with me in the new Jerusalem. 27:20 You find that in Revelation Chapter 20, 27:22 the new Jerusalem, 27:24 the holy city that the Lord is preparing for us, 27:28 not the holy city in the Middle East. 27:30 Those are the Bible lands, 27:32 but how can a city be holy 27:35 when Jesus is rejected as King of that city. 27:38 Look at the book once again, The spirit of Prophecy, 27:41 volume 2, page 14, paragraph 1. 27:44 What was the problem with the Jews? 27:46 Here's what she says, 27:48 "They could not distinguish 27:49 between those prophecies 27:51 which pointed to the first advent of Christ, 27:53 and those that described His second, glorious appearing. 27:58 The power and glory described by the prophets 28:01 as attending his second advent, 28:03 they looked for at his first advent." 28:08 Think about that. 28:10 If you think about that, to exacerbate the deception 28:13 is the belief that are shared by not only Jews, 28:16 but evangelicals also believe along with the Jews 28:20 and many other Protestant movements 28:22 that somehow Christ is going to reign 28:24 for a thousand years on earth. 28:26 They call that the millennial reign. 28:28 You find that deception in books like 28:30 the rapture books like Left Behind. 28:33 Many years ago Hal Lindsey talked about that. 28:35 And also a number of other evangelical leaders 28:38 are still teaching today 28:39 that somehow the Jews are going to be converted. 28:42 Convert the world, 28:43 and Jesus is going to reign on earth 28:45 and He's gonna establish a kingdom on earth 28:47 during a thousand year period. 28:49 Friends, nothing to that effect is supported by Scripture. 28:54 But when you reject Christ, 28:56 you are a set up for the deception. 28:58 But what amazes me is the evangelicals 29:01 haven't rejected Christ. 29:03 But when you close your eyes to His law, 29:05 which is the foundation to receiving 29:07 the clarity of God's truth, 29:09 then you too can be set up for deception. 29:11 Today the Jews and evangelicals 29:13 share the belief call millennialism. 29:17 It is a teaching that many have embraced, 29:20 many denominations call it the golden age or paradise 29:23 that will occur on earth prior to the final judgment 29:27 and future state of humanity. 29:30 They call it, this is the world to come. 29:32 In the new age world, they call this, 29:34 they look for the Age of Aquarius. 29:37 They're saying they're looking for the Age of Aquarius 29:40 on so many different sides. 29:42 Secular and religious alike, there are platforms 29:46 on which Satan can shape and mold his final deception. 29:50 Christianity and Judaism 29:53 have spawned messianic movements 29:56 that feature millennialist teachings. 29:59 But it's all predicated on the belief 30:01 that the Messiah will reign on earth. 30:04 And nothing is further from the truth. 30:06 So the question is, 30:07 who do you think is behind this deception? 30:09 Well, let me save you the time, Satan is. 30:12 But here's the most significant question. 30:14 How will he be able to pull this deception off? 30:18 Let's let the Bible speak. 30:20 Here it is, 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10, we read, 30:25 "The coming of the lawless one 30:27 is according to the working of Satan, 30:30 with all power, signs and lying wonders, 30:35 and with all unrighteous deception 30:37 among those who perish," and here's the reason why, 30:40 "because they did not receive the love of the truth 30:44 that they might be saved. 30:46 And for this reason, 30:48 God will send them strong delusion 30:51 that they should believe the lie 30:53 that they all may be condemned 30:55 who did not believe the truth, 30:57 but had pleasure in unrighteousness." 31:00 Did you hear that? 31:02 Because they reject the truth, 31:05 the Bible says they have pleasure 31:06 in unrighteousness. 31:08 In other words, if I tell you that your bank account 31:10 has $10 and you say, no, it doesn't, it has 2000. 31:13 You're the one that's deceived, not me. 31:15 If you look at God's Word and reject what it says 31:18 because of some pastor that told you something 31:20 otherwise or your opinion or your traditional beliefs. 31:24 If you allow anything 31:25 other than God's Word to be your guide, 31:27 you are being set up 31:28 because you do not believe the truth. 31:30 You are being open for that strong delusion. 31:33 And Paul the Apostle says, 31:35 "And you would believe the lie." 31:37 The very lie that was told to Eve in the Garden of Eden, 31:40 you are setting yourself up to fall for that same lie 31:44 if you do not embrace the Word of God. 31:47 But Jesus made it very clear that when He comes, 31:50 it's going to be visible. 31:52 Deception is believing what Jesus didn't say, 31:56 but safety is believing what He did say. 31:58 Look at Matthew 24:26-27. 32:01 He made it very clear that He will not walk the earth 32:04 at the second advent. 32:06 Here are the words of Christ once again. 32:08 "Therefore if they say to you, 'Look, He is in the desert!' 32:12 Do not go out. 32:14 'Look, He is in the inner rooms!' 32:16 Do not believe it. 32:19 For as lightning comes 32:20 from the east and flashes to the west, 32:24 so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." 32:28 He is saying, it's not, I'm not walking the earth. 32:31 I'm not going to be coming down here, 32:32 putting my feet on this planet. 32:35 I'm going to be visible as lightning flashes 32:37 from the East to the West. 32:39 But in the SDA Bible Commentary volume five, 32:42 page 1105 and 1106. 32:45 We see exactly what's going to transpire. 32:47 Listen to this quotation. 32:49 "As the second appearing 32:51 of our Lord Jesus Christ draws near, 32:54 satanic agencies are moved from beneath. 32:58 Satan will not only appear as a human being, 33:02 but he will personate Jesus Christ, 33:05 and the world that has rejected the truth will receive him 33:11 as the Lord of lords and the King of kings." 33:16 Well, how can something so magnificent 33:20 be missing in the Book of Revelation? 33:22 Well, the answer really is not. 33:25 Revelation, the last piece to the prophetic puzzle 33:28 talks about how Satan is going to personate Christ. 33:33 How he's going to manipulate the billions 33:35 that are on this planet 33:37 that don't allow God's Word to be their guide. 33:40 Revelation 17:18 begins to unfold and unpack 33:45 this grand deception. 33:47 Notice what the Bible says in Revelation 17:8. 33:51 "The beast that you saw was, and is not, 33:55 and will ascend out of the bottomless pit 33:58 and go to perdition. 34:00 And those who dwell on the earth will marvel," 34:02 they will be surprised, 34:04 "whose names are not written in the Book of Life 34:07 from the foundation of the world, 34:09 when they see the beast 34:10 that was, and is not, and yet is." 34:14 Notice how the Bible breaks that down. 34:16 The beast that was, and is not, and yet is, 34:19 that's how Satan is described. 34:22 Jesus is described as who was and is, 34:25 and is to come. 34:27 Jesus is never described as not on the scene. 34:30 But if you notice this, 34:31 this beast is described as that was Satan 34:34 in his earlier state and is not, 34:37 he got kicked out of heaven. 34:38 He got removed from his base of authority. 34:41 And yet is, he's working behind the scenes, 34:45 who was, and is not, and yet is. 34:48 But when you study Scripture, 34:49 you find that between Revelation 17 34:52 and Revelation 13, 34:53 there are some amazing parallels. 34:56 Both of them have some common connections. 34:59 Some of them have not so common connections. 35:02 Let's look at some of the common elements. 35:04 When you talk about Revelation Chapter 17 35:06 and Revelation Chapter 13, 35:07 both have seven heads and ten horns. 35:10 The sea beast of Revelation 13 35:12 has a mouth speaking blasphemies 35:15 and the beast of Revelation 17 is full of blasphemous names. 35:21 But let's look at the differences. 35:22 They're very remarkable. 35:24 It reveals that the power of each of these beasts 35:26 are also present. 35:28 The sea beast of Revelation 13 has crowns on its horns, 35:31 but the beast of revelation 17 does not have crowns. 35:35 Why does it not have crowns? 35:37 Because there was never a time in Satan's existence 35:41 that he qualified to be a king of anything. 35:45 He wanted to be king, 35:46 but he never qualified to be a king of anything. 35:49 That's why the Bible never depicts him 35:52 as wearing a crown. 35:55 The beast of Revelation 13 comes out of the sea, 35:58 but the beast of Revelation 17 36:00 comes out of the bottomless pit. 36:03 The Greek word there is the abyss. 36:06 You see the Bible identifies the beast 36:09 from the bottomless pit. 36:11 There is no need to even speculate. 36:14 Let's allow God's Word to be our guide. 36:17 Look at Revelation 9:1, 36:19 it begins to describe components 36:22 that makes the picture abundantly clear, 36:25 who this power really is. 36:28 Revelation 9:1. 36:30 The Bible says, "Then the fifth angel sounded: 36:35 And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. 36:38 To him was given the key to the bottomless pit." 36:42 Well, when you think about it, friends, 36:44 the question is, according to the Bible 36:48 who is the only star that the Bible describes 36:53 as having fallen from heaven to the earth? 36:56 Who is the only one that once inhabited a residence 37:01 in heaven that no longer has a place in heaven today? 37:05 Who is it 37:07 that from the very beginning that was, 37:09 that according to Scripture today is not, 37:12 working behind the scene, and yet is? 37:15 Let's allow the Bible to describe it. 37:17 Even more than that, 37:18 let's allow Jesus in His own words 37:21 to identify who fell from heaven. 37:26 Look at Luke 10:18, 37:28 the Bible makes it abundantly clear. 37:30 Jesus said Himself. 37:32 And he said to them, speaking to His disciples, 37:34 "I saw Satan 37:37 fall like lightning from heaven. 37:40 Those are the words of Christ. 37:41 He said, I saw Satan fall. 37:43 You know how He saw him fall because He kicked him out. 37:46 Revelation Chapter 12 says there was a war in heaven. 37:49 The dragon fought against Satan. 37:52 Satan fought against Christ and his angels. 37:54 He did not prevail. 37:56 He was cast out to the earth 37:57 and his angels were cast out with him. 38:00 The Lord Jesus said, 38:01 "I saw him fall like lightning from heaven." 38:04 Why did Jesus see him fall? 38:05 Because he was in that battle. 38:07 He was Michael the archangel. 38:09 But now let's go to Isaiah Chapter 14 38:11 and allow the Bible to validate 38:14 and authenticate itself in different components. 38:17 Isaiah 14:12, once again, the King James Version. 38:22 "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, 38:26 son of the morning! 38:28 how art thou cut down to the ground, 38:31 which didst weaken the nations." 38:34 Isaiah, the prophet is saying, how did that happen? 38:36 How did you get cut down to the ground? 38:39 You know how he got cut down? 38:40 He fought against the government of God. 38:43 He tried to perpetrate deception in heaven. 38:46 He was successful in leading one-third of the angels 38:50 to believe his lie. 38:51 And that's exactly how deception works. 38:54 Somebody might say, "Well, how would that happen?" 38:56 But here's the caution. 38:58 If Satan could deceive one-third of heavenly angels 39:02 where deception never existed prior to his, 39:07 how can you find yourself safe if you don't read God's Word? 39:11 On what do you base your safety 39:13 if you're not allowing God's Word to be your guide? 39:16 You see deception is not new. 39:18 Deception is old. 39:19 It simply comes down to do we believe God's Word 39:23 or do we believe man's word? 39:25 Do we believe a thus saith the Lord? 39:28 Or do we believe our clergy or our denomination 39:31 above what God's Word says? 39:33 The Lord says, "If you love Me, keep My commandments." 39:36 But your pastor says, "No, it's no longer relevant." 39:38 That's the foundation. That's how deception work. 39:41 God says, remember, but men say, forget. 39:43 That's how deception works. 39:45 So Satan is listening and he's massaging his plans, 39:49 looking at individual lives and systems through 39:52 which he can work to pull this off. 39:55 But Revelation says in Revelation 12:9 39:57 that the devil did come down to the earth 39:59 after he lost in his first attempt 40:01 to deceive and overthrow God's government. 40:04 Listen to the Bible. 40:05 Revelation 12:9, 40:07 "So the great dragon was cast out, 40:10 that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, 40:12 who deceives the whole world, 40:17 he was cast to the earth, 40:19 and his angels were cast out with him." 40:22 Revelation 12:9. 40:25 So you find in scripture, the final deception 40:29 will be perpetrated by Satan and his angels 40:33 because not only did he get kicked out, 40:35 but his angels that followed his propaganda 40:39 lost their estate also. 40:41 Let's go back to Revelation 9 40:43 because now we see that Satan is not alone 40:45 in the final deception, 40:46 his angels are also involved. 40:48 Revelation 9:2-3. 40:51 Here's what the Bible says, 40:52 "And he opened the bottomless pit, 40:55 and smoke arose out of the pit like 40:58 the smoke of a great furnace. 40:59 So the sun and the air were darkened 41:01 because of the smoke of the pit. 41:04 Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. 41:08 And to them was given power, 41:12 as the scorpions of the earth have power." 41:17 I'll follow that very carefully. 41:20 When the furnace was open, 41:22 the very bottomless pit where Satan was cast, 41:27 the Bible calls that the abyssos 41:29 or tartarus in the Book of 2 Peter. 41:32 He was cast to the earth. 41:34 He was delivered in chains of darkness. 41:37 The bottomless pit, 41:38 the place of spiritual darkness. 41:40 But the Bible says there's a time 41:42 that God is going to remove the restraint 41:45 that He's held on Satan 41:46 for many, many thousands of years. 41:49 And then He's going to give him control 41:51 in the final scenes 41:53 over those whose lives have not been protected 41:56 and shaped by God's Word. 41:58 What a scene is being painted here. 42:01 Satan and his evil angels are working today, 42:04 but on a limited scale, because God, praise the Lord, 42:07 still has the power 42:10 to say to Satan so far, but no further. 42:15 You know the story in the Book of Job 42:17 where God said, go ahead and touch Job. 42:19 You can touch him from his head to his toes, 42:21 but just don't take his life. 42:22 Praise God that Satan still 42:25 is being limited by the power of God, 42:28 but in the book, The Impending Conflict, 42:31 page 26 and paragraph 3, we find these words. 42:35 This has given us a peek behind the scenes, 42:37 how is it gonna happen? 42:38 Listen to this. 42:40 "The restraint which has been upon the wicked is removed." 42:43 That's how the bottomless pit is open. 42:46 "And Satan has entire control of the finally impenitent." 42:50 That means those who never have repented. 42:52 "God's long-suffering has ended. 42:54 The world has rejected His mercy, 42:57 despised His love, and trampled upon His law. 43:01 The wicked have passed 43:03 the boundary of their probation, 43:06 the Spirit of God, persistently resisted, 43:09 has been at last withdrawn." 43:13 Quite a sad picture. 43:15 The Spirit of God 43:16 that has been so rejected for so long 43:18 has finally been withdrawn. 43:20 Jesus said that to the antediluvian. 43:22 My Spirit 43:24 will not always strive with man. 43:26 The same thing is true today, friends. 43:28 What I'm saying to you in this presentation 43:30 about the deception pandemic is, there's something far worse 43:34 than COVID-19 that's coming. 43:36 There is something that's far more toxic 43:39 and far reaching than any disease, 43:42 any pandemic, any financial crash 43:46 could ever bring to planet earth. 43:48 But men that are looking just for money 43:50 and fame and fortune and notoriety, the economist, 43:54 the religionist, the social leaders 43:56 and the political leaders 43:57 all are looking in that direction. 43:59 And Satan is working in this direction 44:01 to pull off the biggest hoax 44:05 that humanity has ever not expected. 44:09 Think about that. 44:10 The irony something's coming 44:12 that humanity is not even looking for like the tsunami 44:17 on that fateful morning, December 26, 44:20 many years ago in the Asian countries 44:24 that took more than 200,000 lives. 44:27 A tsunami of deception is rolling, 44:30 building up steam and humanity that keeps saying, 44:34 I know what God's Word says, 44:36 however, I know what Bible teaches, 44:38 but, I know about remember this and remember that, 44:40 or remember the Sabbath to keep it holy. 44:42 However, I have a different preference 44:44 and it's okay. 44:46 Friends, you may think that that's innocuous. 44:47 You may think to yourself, well, 44:49 that's not really that big a deal. 44:51 But when it sets the foundation for your life to be deceived, 44:55 when you are handling God's truth 44:58 with such light appreciation. 45:01 When what God says doesn't really impact your life 45:04 the way it should. 45:06 When He thus saith the Lord is received as opinion 45:10 or doesn't match the way you want to live. 45:12 When what God's Word is saying to you like 45:15 the flashing lights at a railroad crossing, 45:18 and you're going around the guard rail, 45:20 almost thinking that somehow 45:21 the train is going to miss you because of who you are. 45:25 That's deception. 45:27 It's coming. The bells are ringing. 45:30 The sirens are sounding, the gates are coming down. 45:34 Every indicator of man's dangerous future 45:38 is being played out. 45:39 And in this nation, 45:41 where deception is something that people welcome 45:42 or people don't like the truth. 45:44 Where they choose their network 45:45 and they choose what they would like to ingest as truth. 45:48 Satan is setting the foundation to deceive the entire world. 45:52 But look at this, Revelation 9:4. 45:55 When the devil and his angels have control, 45:57 what are they going to do? 45:58 Revelation 9:4, 46:00 "They were commanded not to harm 46:02 the grass of the earth, 46:04 or any green thing, or any tree, 46:06 but only those men 46:08 who do not have the seal of God 46:11 on their foreheads. 46:12 The seal of God. How are they going to get? 46:15 How would you get the seal of God? 46:16 By obedience to the commandments of God? 46:20 God's seal is in the fourth commandment, 46:25 the Sabbath, the creator of heaven and earth. 46:28 The seal, when you reject that very premise 46:31 and you don't have the seal of God, 46:33 notice what the passage says. 46:35 You will be a part of the affliction 46:37 that Satan and his angels perpetrate upon humanity. 46:41 But Satan is undoubtedly 46:44 the commander of this dark demonic army. 46:48 In Revelation 9 once again makes it clear. 46:51 Look at verse 11, it describes who's commanding. 46:54 Speaking about those 46:55 that came out of the bottomless pit. 46:57 The Bible says, "And they had a king over them, 47:01 the angel of the bottomless pit, 47:05 whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, 47:08 but in Greek, he has the name Apollyon." 47:13 Wow. 47:14 He's the one who destroys. 47:16 He is the angel of destruction. 47:19 A destruction will be unleashed on this planet 47:23 unlike anything that humanity has ever seen before. 47:27 That's why, friends, today, 47:29 while people are still arguing about whether or not, 47:33 I don't even like to talk about this topic, 47:34 whether or not the election was valid or invalid, 47:37 that's not the point. 47:39 It doesn't matter who's in the seating position 47:42 of this nation 47:43 because Revelations scenario does not take political party 47:47 into consideration. 47:48 It doesn't matter who's reigning in the Vatican. 47:51 It doesn't take pontiff associations 47:54 into consideration. 47:55 It doesn't matter who's the head of Rome. 47:57 It doesn't matter 47:58 who's the head of the United States. 48:00 Revelation's scenario is locked, 48:03 and it's going to happen 48:04 whether you are in the red States 48:06 or the blue States, whether you're Republican, 48:08 Independent or Democrat, 48:10 whether you are part of the parliament, 48:11 whether you're part of the government, 48:13 it doesn't really matter who's in leadership. 48:15 The only leadership you need to know about 48:18 is whether or not the Lord is leader of your life. 48:21 What is coming? 48:23 Listen to this quotation, it's quite lengthy, 48:25 but you need to hear it. 48:26 In the book 'Darkness before Dawn, page 41, 48:30 listen to this, 48:32 "As the crowning act 48:34 in the great drama of deception, 48:36 Satan himself will personate Christ. 48:39 The church has long professed to look to the Savior's advent 48:44 as the consummation of her hopes. 48:47 Now the great deceiver 48:48 will make it appear that Christ has come. 48:51 In different parts of the earth, 48:53 Satan will manifest himself among men 48:56 as a majestic being of dazzling brightness, 49:00 resembling the description of the Son of God 49:03 given by John in Revelation. 49:05 That's Revelation 1:13-15, 49:08 "The glory that surrounds him 49:11 is unsurpassed by anything 49:13 that mortal eyes have yet beheld. 49:16 The shouts of triumph rings out upon the air: 49:19 'Christ has come! Christ has come!' 49:23 The people prostrate themselves in adoration before him." 49:26 Can you see the scenes? 49:28 "While he lifts his hands 49:30 and pronounces a blessing upon them, 49:33 as Christ blessed His followers when He was upon the earth. 49:38 His voice is soft subdued, yet full of melody. 49:42 In gentle, compassionate tones 49:44 he presents some of the same gracious, 49:47 heavenly truths which the Savior uttered, 49:51 he heals the diseases of the people, 49:53 and then in his assumed character of Christ, 49:57 he claims, get this, 49:59 to have changed the Sabbath to Sunday, 50:02 and commands all to hallow the day which he has blessed. 50:06 He declares that those who persist in keeping holy 50:10 the seventh day are blaspheming 50:13 his name by refusing to listen to his angels, 50:17 sent to them with light and truth. 50:19 This is the strong, 50:21 almost overmastering delusion." 50:26 What a quotation. 50:28 You might say, "How does she know?" 50:31 I say, "Praise the Lord. Somebody knows." 50:34 God has given insights, my brethren. 50:36 That's why Revelation 12:17 says, 50:38 "The dragon is angry with the woman. 50:40 He went to make war with the remnant of her seed 50:43 that keep the commandments of God 50:45 and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." 50:47 What is the testimony of Jesus Christ? 50:49 Revelation 19:10 says, 50:51 "The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." 50:54 And that gift has been humbly given 50:56 to the servant of the Lord and through Ellen White's life. 50:59 She always upheld the Savior and God gave her insights, 51:03 which He has promised to do to all those who are obedient 51:06 to His words. 51:08 Amos 3:7, "Surely the Lord, 51:10 God will do nothing unless He reveals his secrets 51:14 to His servants the prophets." 51:16 Somebody has been warning us. 51:19 So the question is, 51:22 how will we know 51:23 when the appearing of Satan will occur? 51:26 What signs do we look for? 51:28 And how do we prepare? 51:29 Listen to this quotation in Maranatha, 51:31 page 190 and paragraph 2. 51:35 "By the decree enforcing 51:38 the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, 51:43 our nation, the United States, 51:45 will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. 51:50 When Protestantism shall reach her hand across the gulf 51:53 to grasp the hands of the Roman power, 51:57 when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands 52:02 with spiritualism, 52:04 when under the influence of this threefold union, 52:06 our country shall repudiate 52:09 every principle of its Constitution 52:12 as a Protestant and Republican government, 52:16 and shall make provision 52:18 for the propagation of papal falsehoods 52:21 and delusions, 52:23 then we may know that the time has come 52:26 for the marvelous working of Satan 52:30 and that the end is near." 52:34 Is that humbling? 52:35 Is that sobering? 52:36 Is that an inoculation? 52:38 Is that a wakeup call or what? 52:40 And whether you believe it or not, 52:42 those movements are underway right now. 52:44 All you've got to do is consult the newspapers, 52:47 look at what the political 52:49 and religious leaders are seeking 52:51 in this pandemic that we are still going through 52:53 to some degree. 52:55 People are looking at the impact 52:56 of the pandemic on the environment. 52:59 And they're saying already, we need a day of worship. 53:01 We need to have a Sunday 53:03 where we can all gather together. 53:06 We can all gather together and give rest to this planet. 53:10 But there's only one way to be protected, 53:12 my friends, from the deception. 53:14 And John 8:32 tells us, 53:16 "And you shall know the truth, 53:18 and the truth shall make you free." 53:21 You shall know the truth, my friends, 53:23 and the truth shall make you free. 53:26 The only protection, the only vaccination, 53:30 the only inoculation that can get us safeguarded 53:35 from this grand delusion, the appearing of Satan 53:39 from the deception pandemic that's going to grip the earth. 53:42 The only delusion 53:44 is through reading and believing God's Word. 53:47 You will know the truth 53:49 and the truth will make you free. 53:51 I'd like you to think about that as Tim plays the song, 53:54 trust and obey. 53:56 Why should we trust and obey? 53:58 That's the only way. 54:00 If we trust God's Word, if we obey God's Word, 54:03 there's nothing that Satan can do 54:06 to deceive your life. 54:11 When we walk with the Lord 54:15 In the light of His Word 54:19 What a glory He sheds 54:23 On our way 54:27 While we do His good will 54:31 He abides with us still 54:35 And with all who will trust 54:38 And obey 54:46 But we never can prove 54:50 The delights of His love 54:54 Until all on the alter we lay 55:01 For the favor He shows 55:05 And the joy He bestows 55:09 Are for those who will trust 55:12 And obey 55:17 Trust and obey 55:21 For there's no other way 55:26 To be happy in Jesus 55:33 But to trust and obey 55:42 You hear that, friends, 55:45 there's no other way. 55:47 There's no other way 55:49 to be happy in Jesus than to trust and obey. 55:53 Trust, 55:56 would you put a politician above Jesus?
