03:09 All Ready.
03:11 We wanna welcome you
03:13 to our Dare to Dream Christmas special.
03:16 I have my husband Danny Shelton here.
03:18 Right. Praise the Lord.
03:20 Good to be here.
03:21 I'm already blessed.
03:22 How about you? I know, me too.
03:24 This is so exciting.
03:25 We have Sherice Tomlin.
03:28 Great job. Beautiful by the way.
03:29 Sherice, thank you. Beautiful.
03:31 John, of course.
03:32 John Stoddart.
03:34 We have Denise Barclay-Thompson.
03:37 Hi Denise.
03:38 Now Denise been coming here since about 1995, you know?
03:42 Oh, maybe I shouldn't tell you was a kid then maybe.
03:47 That's how I first found out about Denise
03:50 was actually watching her on 3ABN.
03:52 Yeah, okay.
03:53 So, and Sherice, I met at Oakwood.
03:56 I heard her sing at PELC
03:59 and she just blew me away
04:00 and I was like, we have to have her
04:02 on Dare to Dream.
04:03 So John,
04:05 I had heard for years about John
04:08 and I had never met him.
04:10 Lot of mutual friends, right?
04:11 Yes, yes, we have lots of mutual friends.
04:14 And then finally I got to meet him
04:16 and his spirit matches his talent.
04:18 It does. Such a beautiful person.
04:20 I'm surprised that he came back so easily.
04:23 When you ask him. Oh, my God...
04:24 You worked the poor guy, I mean...
04:26 We worked him so hard last time, bless his heart.
04:28 Denise, he came one time to do one program
04:31 and she had him here two or three days.
04:33 And I don't know
04:35 how many ways you can turn your t-shirt in and out to...
04:37 He took off his jacket
04:39 and then he put it back on for program,
04:42 that was so funny.
04:44 But he's back again. So thank you.
04:45 You guys kept feeding me.
04:47 So I said, you're feeding me.
04:48 As long as you keep feeding me, I'll keep coming back.
04:52 And then we have our own Tim Parton,
04:55 who is the general manager of our Praise Him Music Network
04:59 and our own Ryan Day,
05:02 who is the associate of Tim with assistant
05:07 with the Praise Him Network.
05:09 So we are so happy.
05:11 And what, I mean,
05:13 I'm just thrilled you guys are with us.
05:15 So what a blessing. Amen.
05:17 You know, we're thrilled for all of you
05:18 that are watching today
05:20 and we hope that you join in the singing
05:22 and so let's make a joyful noise unto the Lord.
05:25 If you had to been good, I wouldn't be here.
05:27 So it's not about that.
05:29 It's just praising the Lord
05:30 and giving Him praise and honor and glory.
05:32 And today maybe you're by yourself
05:34 and maybe you feel like you're home
05:36 and nobody cares and nobody's there.
05:38 Well, we're here with you, we're family today.
05:39 And thank you for joining us here on 3ABN.
05:43 It's a privilege that you allow us
05:44 to come into your home
05:46 each and every day as you doing
05:48 and to share this time of year with you.
05:49 It's great time of year, isn't it?
05:51 It is.
05:52 It's one of my favorite times of the year,
05:53 because it's when Jesus is just so magnified in general.
05:58 And it just really feels good.
06:00 All over, all around we go, as I mentioned this a lot,
06:03 we're going to shopping in Walmart's,
06:05 all kinds of stores
06:06 and you'll hear songs about Jesus
06:08 and people wanna argue.
06:09 I don't think He's born December 25th.
06:11 Hey, we don't care what the day was.
06:13 We're just glad He was. That's right.
06:15 We're glad that He died for us.
06:16 He was buried and resurrected again,
06:18 He's now ever interceding
06:19 at the right hand of the Father for you and me.
06:21 That's what's important today.
06:23 So this is a great opportunity this season
06:25 to share Jesus in the marketplace.
06:27 Yes.
06:29 So let's sing a group song.
06:30 Let's sing "The First Noel."
06:46 The first Noel
06:51 The angels did say
06:55 Was to certain poor shepherds
06:59 In fields as they lay
07:03 In fields where they Lay
07:08 Keeping their sheep
07:11 On a cold winter's night
07:15 That was so deep
07:19 Noel, Noel,
07:23 Noel, Noel
07:28 Born is the King of Israel
07:51 They looked up
07:55 And saw a star
08:00 Shining in the east
08:04 Beyond them far
08:08 And to the earth
08:12 It gave great light
08:16 And so it continued
08:21 Both day and night
08:25 Noel, Noel
08:34 Born is the King of Israel
08:43 Noel, Noel
08:53 Born is the King of Israel
09:09 Amen.
09:11 It's so lovely to sing with you.
09:12 Guys, I'm just so happy.
09:14 I'm so happy that you're here.
09:16 Denise, you're gonna sing for us now.
09:19 And Denise has a project coming out.
09:23 What's the name of it, Denise?
09:24 The new CD will be a Praise and Worship Hymn.
09:29 H- Y- M-N.
09:30 Oh, nice.
09:31 And your producer is none other than...
09:34 The best, John Stoddart, yes.
09:36 Amen. Amen.
09:37 It was so fun. It's always great.
09:39 As long as Denise has been coming here,
09:40 I think maybe we've been working together
09:42 even longer than that.
09:43 At least 30 years, John.
09:45 So, yeah, I try my best.
09:46 So I must be doing something right,
09:47 because she keeps calling me, so.
09:49 You get it right.
09:50 You get it right. There we go.
09:52 Hopefully this time I got close.
09:54 I think so.
09:56 So we're looking forward to hearing you Denise.
09:57 Thanks.
10:15 Sing sweet and low
10:20 A lullaby
10:24 Till angels say
10:28 Amen
10:32 A mother tonight is rocking
10:39 A cradle in Bethlehem
10:46 While wise men follow
10:52 Through the dark
10:56 A star that beckons them
11:03 A mother tonight is rocking
11:09 A cradle in Bethlehem
11:17 A little child shall lead them
11:23 The prophets said of old
11:29 Through storm And tempest heed them
11:34 Until the bell is tolled
11:41 Sing sweet and low your
11:46 Lullaby
11:50 Till angels say
11:53 Amen
11:57 A mother tonight is rocking
12:04 A cradle in Bethlehem
12:12 A little child shall lead them
12:18 The prophets said of old
12:23 Through storm And tempest heed them
12:28 Until the bell is tolled
12:40 Sing sweet and low
12:45 Your lullaby
12:49 Till angels say Amen
12:55 A mother tonight is rocking
13:03 A cradle in Bethlehem
13:12 A mother tonight is rocking
13:22 A cradle in Bethlehem
14:07 Do you remember me?
14:11 I sat upon your knee
14:15 I wrote to you
14:17 With childhood fantasies
14:25 Well, I'm all grown up now
14:29 And still need help somehow
14:33 I'm not a child
14:35 But my heart still can dream
14:42 So here's my lifelong wish
14:47 My grown-up Christmas list
14:51 Not for myself
14:53 But for a world in need
15:00 No more lives torn apart
15:06 That wars would never start
15:09 And time would heal all hearts
15:16 And everyone Would have a friend
15:21 And right would always win
15:25 And love would never end
15:32 This is my grown-up
15:36 Christmas list
15:46 As children we believed
15:49 The grandest sight to see
15:53 Was something lovely
15:55 Wrapped beneath the tree
16:01 But Heaven only knows
16:04 That packages and bows
16:08 Can never heal
16:10 A hurting human soul
16:17 No more lives torn apart
16:22 That wars would never start
16:25 And time would heal all hearts
16:31 And everyone Would have a friend
16:37 And right would always win
16:41 And love would never end
16:46 No, this is my grown-up
16:52 Christmas list
16:53 This is my lifelong Christmas list
16:58 My grown-up
17:04 Christmas list
17:08 List
17:18 My grown-up
17:21 Christmas list
17:29 Amen.
17:31 It's beautiful, Denise and John, thank you so much.
17:34 I think John's gonna get up maybe from the piano.
17:36 I love it when he's there, but he, you know,
17:38 he doesn't just play.
17:40 He plays and sing.
17:41 Like he can do it all really.
17:42 I bet he can do backward handsprings even.
17:44 I don't know the guy's got it all.
17:46 Someway he got the looks,
17:47 got the whole shoot'in match.
17:49 John...
17:50 I'm trying to keep up
17:51 with Danny Shelton is what it is.
17:53 You are blessed. I love your jacket by the way.
17:55 Oh, thank you.
17:57 It's such a thrill to be back here
17:58 and sharing this time with you.
18:00 This is kind of one of the few times
18:01 we get to hang together...
18:03 I know. Yes.
18:04 And to be able to hang out with our listeners
18:05 from all around the world,
18:07 celebrating this story.
18:09 Amen. What a story?
18:10 The story of Christmas.
18:13 It's changed the world.
18:16 It's changed history and it's changed my life too.
18:20 Listen to the words of the song,
18:21 "The Story of Christmas."
18:38 The story of Christmas
18:43 A message of love
18:47 A love unconditional
18:51 Given to us
18:55 Away in a manger
18:59 No crib for a bed
19:03 The Lord God Our Savior
19:07 lay down his sweet head
19:18 Shepherds and wise men
19:22 Would hasten to see
19:26 The angels had told them
19:30 What God had revealed
19:34 Kingdom of heaven
19:38 crushed down in the hay
19:42 This night for the first time
19:46 Our God made a way
19:53 Gloria
20:02 In excelsis Deo
20:10 Gloria
20:15 Oh, gloria
20:19 Glory to God
20:21 In the highest
20:29 Story of Christmas
20:34 Is written for me
20:37 Tales of a good God
20:41 Who's desperate
20:43 To be Close by me forever
20:50 As near as my skin
20:54 My hope and my shelter
20:59 My everything
21:10 Love unconditional given to us
21:16 Draw near to the stable
21:20 A bright star will shine
21:25 One look at that baby
21:30 A treasure you'll find
21:36 One look and a treasure
21:43 You'll find
22:04 Amen. Beautiful.
22:05 Amen.
22:06 Anybody grateful for that story?
22:08 Amen.
22:10 I'm so grateful for the story.
22:12 You know, this is an old,
22:13 I thought I'd share an old Christmas song.
22:15 This is one that you guys I'm sure have heard.
22:18 And I'm sure
22:19 our audience members have heard.
22:21 And, you know, as always
22:22 Danny teases me because I never do anything
22:24 like the way it was been done.
22:25 I always have to find a way to flip it around
22:29 or twist it upside down
22:30 or change the key or do something.
22:32 So this is my take on one of my old favorites,
22:35 "Angels We Have Heard On High."
22:59 Angels we have heard on high
23:04 Sweetly singing o'er the plains
23:09 And the mountains in reply
23:15 Echoing their joyous strains
23:20 Glory
23:25 Gloria
23:30 In excelsis Deo
23:36 Glory
23:41 Gloria
23:46 In excelsis Deo
24:03 Shepherds, why this jubilee
24:09 Why your joyous strains prolong
24:14 What the gladsome tidings be
24:19 Which inspire your heavenly song
24:24 Glory
24:29 Gloria
24:34 In excelsis Deo
24:39 Glory
24:45 Gloria
24:50 In excelsis Deo
25:16 Come to Bethlehem and see
25:21 Him whose birth the angels sing
25:26 Come, adore on bended knee
25:31 Christ the Lord,
25:34 The newborn King
25:36 Glory
25:42 Gloria
25:47 In excelsis Deo
25:51 Glory
25:57 Gloria
26:02 In excelsis Deo
26:06 Glory
26:12 Gloria
26:17 In excelsis Deo
26:21 Glory
26:27 Gloria
26:31 in excelsis Deo
26:36 Glory, glory
26:41 Gloria
26:45 In excelsis Deo
26:50 Oh, glory
26:53 Glory
26:56 Gloria
27:01 In excelsis Deo
27:09 I'm singing glory
27:12 Oh, glory, yes I am
27:16 He was born in a manger
27:19 Oh, I'm so glad He was
27:27 And then He went to a cross
27:29 Yes, He did
27:33 And then died for me Yes, He did
27:36 And He died for me
27:37 But that wasn't all I said He rose again
27:41 Said, yes, He rose again
27:44 And that isn't even The end of the story
27:47 'Cause one day Oh, one day
27:50 He said He's coming back for me
27:52 Oh, He's coming back for me
27:55 Said that He's coming back for me
28:02 Glory
28:07 Gloria
28:13 In excelsis Deo
28:18 Glory
28:26 Gloria
28:33 In excelsis Deo
28:48 All right. Amen. Praise the Lord.
28:51 Why don't you get up? Let's all come around to piano.
28:53 Don't touch it. It's real hot right now.
28:55 That piano like might burn you hear on there.
28:57 I am telling you.
28:58 John, incredible.
29:00 What a blessing?
29:01 I wanna say what a talent he has.
29:03 Denise, it took me nearly two hours
29:05 to get him to learn that arrangement.
29:08 Two hours?
29:09 Yeah, almost two hours to get him in.
29:11 And he finally got, that's beautiful.
29:13 Yeah. I hope you, folks.
29:14 I tried to make you proud for all the work you put in.
29:17 Now, for all of you stick in the muds.
29:19 Now you don't know when somebody is joking or not.
29:21 That's all right.
29:22 We'll have our own fun around here.
29:24 Speaking of fun, we want to talk a little bit
29:26 about Christmas memories.
29:27 Yes.
29:28 Who do you want to start with?
29:30 Let's start with Sherice.
29:31 Man, oh man.
29:34 Well, I guess my Christmas memory is
29:36 when I used to do foster care
29:41 and I took care of 26 children by myself
29:45 and sent them through foster care
29:46 over seven and a half years.
29:48 And each time I would bring a child to my home
29:51 and would put up the Christmas tree
29:53 and wrap the different gifts for them
29:55 and to see their faces
29:57 brought so much joy to me.
30:00 And I know as years passed,
30:02 I did adopt three and raised them as well,
30:04 but I did the same thing.
30:05 And just to see them be happy,
30:08 it just staying up all night with the tape
30:11 and cutting everything.
30:12 I probably didn't do it right but it paid off
30:15 and it made me feel so good
30:17 just to see them happy.
30:18 So that can deposit some form of happiness
30:20 into their hearts.
30:21 That's beautiful.
30:23 Let's just go around. John?
30:24 I can't help, but think about family
30:28 when Christmas comes around
30:30 and I grew up in Philadelphia
30:33 and I don't know if anyone else did this,
30:35 but we weren't wealthy family at all.
30:39 And we lived in on the edge of the city of Philadelphia,
30:42 not far from Ardmore
30:44 but we grew up in a great block,
30:46 great neighbors, great kids,
30:47 you could play out in the street back then.
30:49 I don't know if you can do that now,
30:50 but back then you could.
30:52 But my mother used to use old Christmas cards
30:57 to decorate the house.
30:58 We had an arch
31:00 going from the living room to the dining room
31:01 and she would take the Christmas cards
31:03 from years past
31:05 and use that
31:07 as part of the decoration for that.
31:08 She would just take them.
31:09 She was very creative like that.
31:11 So whenever I think about Christmas,
31:12 the first thing that comes to mind
31:14 are Christmas cards
31:16 around the arch,
31:17 going from the living room to the dining room.
31:21 Well, I too have family memories.
31:24 Living in the Caribbean,
31:26 we didn't really have snow and real Christmas trees.
31:29 But I do remember this picture
31:32 that we had of me in a little red velvet dress
31:35 that I probably didn't want to take off
31:37 because around that time when we were little,
31:39 you know, dressing up for Christmas was a big thing.
31:42 And we had the silver tree.
31:44 It wasn't a real tree, it was a silver tree,
31:45 but it was a silver tree,
31:47 me and my little red dress
31:48 and my mother in a red and white dress
31:50 as well.
31:51 And I think my dad took that picture
31:53 and that just stays with me the carols
31:55 and just the feeling of joy and happiness and safety.
32:00 So even though we didn't have a white Christmas,
32:02 we had a silver Christmas with hints of red.
32:06 Nice. All right.
32:08 Those memories looking back are really wonderful.
32:11 You think of family, friends and the song you wrote,
32:13 you know, the pumpkin pie,
32:15 all of that, that's a great one too.
32:17 Grandma's. Great song.
32:18 Yeah, grandma's there,
32:19 all of that, wonderful memories.
32:21 But you know the fact that I think it's amazing
32:24 that Jesus would die,
32:27 you know, be born as in manger
32:28 and wrapped in swaddling clothes in a manger.
32:31 The King of kings, the Lord of lords
32:33 would do that for us,
32:36 for each and every one of us.
32:37 It's an amazing thing.
32:39 So while we, you know,
32:41 look at all these other things
32:42 and all the gifts and all the things are,
32:45 you know, exciting and fun.
32:46 As kids we like those.
32:47 We were poor too,
32:49 so we didn't have many gifts at all
32:51 to give around, but we had a lot of love.
32:52 We had a lot of laughs, a lot of family
32:54 but, you know, I'm thankful to have folks
32:57 who told us that
32:58 the real reason for the season is Jesus Christ for sure.
33:02 We're gonna have some more music.
33:04 And I think right now Brother Tim,
33:06 I'm glad that you walking to the piano
33:08 not me after that.
33:09 You know, when we were sitting there
33:11 listening to John singing...
33:14 In fact, let's just sit down, so he'll feel really alone.
33:15 Yeah. You sit down for a moment.
33:17 I'm gonna say something here.
33:20 So first of all, I'm thinking, John,
33:25 just because you can doesn't mean you should.
33:28 Because I mean, or because just because you can
33:30 doesn't mean you have to,
33:32 especially since I have to follow you.
33:33 Oh, no...
33:35 And I think...
33:36 This is my brother, don't let...
33:38 Listen, oh, well we are brothers, all right,
33:39 but that's...
33:40 Mutual admirations.
33:42 You outplaying me is one thing.
33:43 No, clearly I was thinking Christmas memories,
33:46 this might be,
33:48 this is a Christmas memory for me, John,
33:49 to sit there and listen to you and try not to be envious.
33:54 But I truly just,
33:57 I'm amazed at your playing and your talent, your gifting,
34:01 and you know, I think of,
34:03 there's probably been a time when we were sitting around
34:05 unwrapping gifts.
34:07 If you do that kind of thing at Christmas
34:08 when we were kids,
34:10 especially, and you looked over
34:11 and maybe if you had a sibling,
34:12 you saw something that one of them got for Christmas
34:15 that you thought,
34:16 "Oh, why didn't I get that?"
34:18 And that's kind of what I think about John,
34:21 why didn't I get that?
34:24 But I got what I need, I guess...
34:26 Yeah.
34:27 And each of us have what we need
34:31 to present the gospel,
34:32 which is truly and to glorify God,
34:34 that's what He put us on earth for
34:36 to do is to worship Him
34:38 and just think of that greatest gift
34:40 that we have being Christ
34:43 and those people that have not heard
34:45 that we may be up to us
34:47 to do that very thing to give to someone
34:50 someone maybe envious of the life that we're living,
34:53 the peace that we have.
34:56 Share Christ with them,
34:58 so that they don't have to be envious.
35:00 They can have Him as their very own
35:02 and He will give them the peace and the joy and the love.
37:25 Amen. Beautiful.
37:28 Thank you, Tim.
37:31 Ryan Day
37:33 is also one of my favorite singers,
37:36 musicians.
37:37 He is just a blessing.
37:39 Right back at you.
37:40 And so this song is a special request.
37:44 I requested this of Ryan. Oh, no.
37:48 Oh, Holy night. Yes.
37:49 There would be no second coming
37:51 if it wasn't for the first coming, right?
37:54 It certainly was a holy night.
38:01 Oh holy night
38:09 The stars are brightly shining
38:22 It is the night
38:26 Of our Dear Savior's birth
38:35 Long lay the world
38:40 In sin And error pining
38:47 Till He appeared
38:50 And the soul felt its worth
38:57 A thrill of hope
39:02 The weary world rejoices
39:08 For yonder breaks
39:12 A new and glorious morn
39:17 Fall on your knees
39:26 Oh, hear the angels' voices
39:35 Oh, night divine
39:46 Oh, night
39:51 Oh, night divine
40:09 Oh, night
40:14 Oh, night divine
40:26 Truly He taught us
40:29 To love one another
40:35 His law is love
40:37 And His gospel is peace
40:44 Chains shall He break
40:47 For the slave is our brother
40:53 And in His name
40:56 All oppression
41:00 Shall cease, Sweet hymns of joy
41:07 In grateful chorus raise
41:10 We Let all within us
41:15 Praise His holy name
41:26 Fall on your knees
41:34 Oh, hear the angels' voices
41:42 Oh, night divine
41:50 Oh, night
41:53 When Christ was born
41:58 Oh, night divine
42:11 Oh, night
42:19 Oh, night divine
42:32 Amen. Praise the Lord.
42:35 Hallelujah.
42:36 Praise the Lord.
42:39 I just, this is just so,
42:42 it's so special
42:44 because you sense the presence of the Holy Spirit here.
42:47 And that was the whole idea for us to honor Him.
42:51 And so all of you have just been amazing.
42:55 What a blessing.
42:57 Sherice, you're going to bless us now.
42:59 I will try my best.
43:02 I am just blown away.
43:03 I can't even get up.
43:05 Man, God bless you.
43:07 Thank you. Praise the Lord.
43:10 I'll definitely see what the Lord will do on today.
43:38 Mary did you know
43:42 That your baby boy
43:45 Would one day walk on water?
43:50 Mary did you know
43:53 That your baby boy
43:56 Would save our sons And daughters?
44:01 Did you know
44:04 That your baby boy
44:07 Has come to make you new?
44:13 This child that you delivered
44:19 Will soon deliver you
44:23 Mary, did you know
44:26 That your baby boy
44:30 Would give sight To a blind man?
44:34 Mary, did you know
44:37 That your baby boy
44:41 Would calm the storm
44:43 With His hand?
44:46 Did you know
44:49 That your baby boy
44:52 Has walked Where the angels trod?
44:58 And when you kiss Your little baby
45:03 You kiss the face of God
45:09 The blind will see
45:12 The deaf will hear
45:14 The dead will live again
45:20 The lame will leap
45:23 The dumb will speak
45:26 The praises of the Lamb
45:35 Mary, did you know
45:39 That your baby boy
45:42 Is the Lord of all creation?
45:47 Mary, did you know
45:50 That your baby boy
45:53 Will one day rule the nations?
45:58 Did you know
46:01 That your baby boy
46:05 Is heaven's perfect Lamb?
46:10 The sleeping child
46:13 That you're holding
46:16 Is the Great
46:19 I Am
46:30 The Great I Am
46:45 Amen. Praise the Lord.
46:47 Thank you.
46:48 Hallelujah.
47:30 Mommies and daddies
47:34 Always believe
47:38 That their little angels
47:43 Are special indeed
47:46 And you could grow up
47:51 To be anything
47:57 But who would imagine a king
48:05 A shepherd or teacher
48:09 Is what you could be
48:14 Or maybe a fisherman
48:18 Out on the sea
48:22 Or maybe a carpenter
48:27 Building things
48:32 But who would imagine a king
48:41 It was so clear
48:44 when the wise men arrived
48:48 And the angels were singing Your name
48:56 That the world Would be different
49:00 'Cause you were alive
49:04 That's what heaven stood
49:07 Still to proclaim
49:14 One day an angel said quietly
49:22 That soon he would bring
49:26 Something special to me
49:30 And of all those Wonderful gifts
49:36 He could bring
49:40 Who would imagine,
49:45 Who could imagine
49:51 Who would imagine a king
50:11 Praise the Lord.
50:14 Amen.
50:16 Thank you so much.
50:17 Oh, beautiful.
50:19 Yvonne, look at the clock.
50:21 It's our enemy right now.
50:22 I know it. Clock is our enemy.
50:24 I know it.
50:25 This has been such an amazing blessing.
50:27 Yeah. Amazing.
50:29 Why don't we talk maybe to the folks at home
50:30 for just a few minutes.
50:32 Brother Ryan, I wants you to look into the camera,
50:34 one of these over here and just.
50:35 There are people at home right now
50:37 and they're, maybe they feel all alone.
50:39 Maybe they've lost a relationship
50:40 and they really don't know Jesus Christ.
50:42 Why won't you take two or three minutes
50:44 and just give an appeal to these folks?
50:46 Absolutely. Well, you know, I...
50:49 When I think of Christmas, obviously,
50:51 the root word of Christmas is Jesus Christ.
50:53 And so you may be at home right now,
50:57 wondering where's your life heading?
50:59 What's this world all about,
51:01 especially during a time like this,
51:02 we have an opportunity to reflect on the love of God.
51:06 We just think for a moment.
51:08 We wouldn't even be here
51:09 if Jesus hadn't come the first time, right?
51:11 It's powerful.
51:13 Jesus did come.
51:15 And He didn't just come to be a baby.
51:18 He came to grow up
51:20 as the Bible says to be our savior.
51:22 He was that coming savior.
51:24 And He came to this earth
51:25 to show us how it's supposed to be done.
51:28 He trusted in His Father and you and I today,
51:30 wherever you are around the world,
51:32 you can set your doubts,
51:33 your worries, your fears aside and say,
51:35 Lord, I give them to You because You died for them.
51:39 And so, that's what the season's about.
51:41 It's to reflect the life of Jesus.
51:44 The fact that He came as a baby,
51:45 He was robed in flesh,
51:47 and He took on our sinful flesh that He could overcome sin,
51:51 which is something we weren't able to do,
51:53 but He did it to show us that it's possible through Him,
51:56 that it can be done.
51:57 So wherever you are right now,
51:59 just simply turn your life over to Jesus
52:01 and say, Jesus, I'm yours.
52:03 That's what this season's about.
52:04 That's what I think of. Thank you.
52:06 I think about the folk who write us
52:08 and they're very depressed
52:10 and they say, I just,
52:11 you know, I can't seem to get out of this rut.
52:13 And so what I like to say is, as you know,
52:16 when Jesus was on the cross, says, we were on His mind.
52:18 There's a song that says that,
52:20 but the Lord gave us a great commission.
52:22 And those of us who are Christians,
52:24 Matthew 28:18-20,
52:26 and He says,
52:27 "All power is given Me in heaven and earth,
52:29 go eat therefore."
52:31 So what I found out in my own life
52:33 there's times that we get selfish,
52:35 you know, our world is me, myself and I,
52:38 but when we start thinking about others
52:41 and we look around us
52:42 and we begin to witness to others.
52:44 You know, Jesus doesn't need us.
52:47 He doesn't really need any of us to save anybody.
52:49 Right?
52:50 And so He doesn't need us.
52:52 Never did.
52:53 So why does He say,
52:54 "Go ye into all the world?"
52:56 He does it for our own.
52:57 We need to do it for our own salvation.
52:59 We need to get our mind off of ourself
53:01 and look around at our brothers and sisters
53:04 that Jesus died for
53:05 and show them what Jesus really means.
53:08 He says,
53:09 "If I be lifted up from this earth
53:12 will draw all men unto Me."
53:16 So today I think is a great privilege.
53:18 And I praise God for each and every one of you
53:20 and your ministry.
53:21 Right now, you're reaching multitudes of people
53:23 around the world.
53:25 God has a special plan for you.
53:27 And I mean, it's a plan that no one else,
53:30 He knew you would be living
53:31 in the closing moments of earth's history,
53:33 each and every one of us.
53:35 What a privilege.
53:36 We may be able to look up and say,
53:37 "Lo, this is our God whom we've waited for.
53:39 He's come to save us."
53:41 But you know what?
53:42 We're not going to be able to do that
53:43 if we've not totally submitted
53:45 and committed our life to Jesus.
53:47 We got to forget all the things around us.
53:49 We got to quit worrying about politics
53:51 and quit worrying about all these other things
53:53 and worry about Jesus and Him crucified
53:56 and saying, Lord, make me a vessel of honor for You.
53:59 Today, I want to be a vessel of honor.
54:01 Now we can't do it over our own strength.
54:03 We even have to pray.
54:04 Lord, send me Your Holy Spirit, help my unbelief.
54:07 Fill me with Your love.
54:09 Fill me with Your compassion for the lost.
54:11 And I promise you, God will do that.
54:13 Right now what we need to be doing,
54:14 we need to be busy.
54:16 We need to be about our father's business
54:18 literally right now.
54:20 So whatever's on your heart and your mind today,
54:22 we're going to ask you to submit
54:24 and commit your life to Jesus Christ
54:25 and say, "Lord, I'm a sinner."
54:27 I don't care if you're a pastor or a deacon
54:29 or Sabbath school teacher, Sunday school teacher,
54:31 whatever you are,
54:32 "Lord, I'm a sinner, save me."
54:34 He says,
54:35 "If we confess our sins,
54:36 He is faithful and just to forgive us from our sins
54:39 and to cleanse us from," how much?
54:41 "All unrighteousness."
54:43 So today is the day of salvation.
54:45 While we're thinking about Jesus,
54:46 this time of year,
54:47 let us rededicate our lives to the Lord
54:50 and then go and tell what He has done for us.
54:53 I think we ought to sing something here.
54:55 We'll go out today.
54:57 And, in fact,
54:58 let's just have a little closing prayer.
54:59 We're going to pray now,
55:01 then we're going to go out singing a little bit.
55:02 John, you'll tell us what to do.
55:03 Brother Tim, would you pray for us?
55:05 Heavenly Father God,
55:06 we are so grateful
55:07 for the privilege of being Your children.
55:09 We love You, Lord.
55:10 And we thank You for sending Your Son to die for us,
55:14 to be an example of how we can love.
55:17 And we just ask that
55:19 You will touch those that are watching
55:21 and that You will give them a peace
55:22 like they've never known.
55:24 Thank you for being our King of kings
55:25 and Lord of lords.
55:27 We anticipate Your return,
55:29 but until then we will sing and we will rejoice
55:32 that You are our Lord.
55:33 Amen in Jesus' name.
55:35 Till we see you next time,
55:36 may the Lord richly bless you abundantly
55:38 more than you could ever ask or think.
55:40 Let's sing.
55:43 Hark! the herald angels sing
55:47 Glory to the new-born King
55:51 Peace on earth and mercy mild
55:55 God and sinners reconciled
56:00 Joyful, all ye nations, rise
56:04 Join the triumph of the skies
56:08 With the angelic host proclaim
56:12 Christ is born in Bethlehem
56:16 Hark! the herald angels sing
56:20 Glory to the new-born King
56:26 Oh, yeah!
56:28 Hark! the herald angels sing
56:33 Jesus, the light of the world
56:38 Glory to the new-born King
56:43 Jesus, the light of the world
56:47 We walk in the light
56:51 Built in the light
56:53 Go where the dew drops Of mercy shall rise
56:58 Shine all around us By day and by night
57:03 Jesus, The light of the world
57:07 We'll walk in the light
57:10 Built in the light
57:13 Go where the dew drops Of mercy shall rise
57:17 Shine all around us By day and by night
57:22 Jesus the light of the world
57:27 Walk in the light
57:30 Built in the light
57:32 Go where the true drops Of mercy shall rise
57:37 Shine all around us By day and by night
57:42 Jesus, the light of the world
58:07 Yeah!
58:08 Yes!
58:10 All right.
59:07 Praise the Lord.
59:08 Yeah!
