For the most part the shepherds lived a 05:26 peaceful life while tending their sheep. Yet the promise of 05:30 the Savior bringing peace filled their hearts with joy. Wise men made the long journey after 07:39 studying the stars and knew the scriptures from Isaiah were 07:43 being fulfilled. She has five 14:31 children and if it's anything like their family they love 14:35 Christmas 'cause they want to do fun things and it's always a 14:38 special time and they are looking forward to having a 14:41 movie when Daddy comes home. You see the older two were 14:44 wrapping up gifts for the neighbors and Mom was actually 14:48 putting the last batches of cookies in the oven when the 14:53 lights started flickering and you know that feeling when 14:55 you're like oh-oh and then the lights go out, the music stops 15:00 and you can hear all the kids saying aww, not on Christmas 15:06 Eve. You can identify with that because they were looking 15:08 forward to a special time. And so Mom was thinking, Hmm, well 15:14 maybe the lights will come on. But as time went on the lights 15:17 weren't coming on. Five minutes later she decided to light up 15:20 some candles. And she tried to make the ambiance in the room 15:24 but, the kids were like Mom this isn't fun. And Mom was thinking 15:30 oh what about the cookies in the oven. But you know what she 15:33 thought of a time when she was little going caroling. And she 15:38 said, Hey why don't we go caroling. So the younger two 15:41 said, Mom what's caroling? Oh that's when you go house to 15:45 house singing. And the kids said Hey, we can do that. And so the 15:48 older two said I'll get my violin. And so they brought 15:52 their violins, they put on their boots and they put on their 15:56 coats and they went to the first house. And at the first house 15:59 they sang some songs like Hark! The Herald Angels Sing and then 16:04 they went to the next house and sang Silent Night and then the 16:08 next house Away in a Manger. And at that house the family 16:12 said, Hey we'd like join you because they had some kids and 16:15 so they went to the fourth house and on and on they went going 16:19 house to house singing Christmas carols. Now you see they started 16:24 a new tradition and from then on they would turn out the lights 16:28 and listen to music. There's times we get so busy with 16:31 Christmas preparations that we miss the real meaning of why 16:35 Jesus came in the first place. He wanted to bring peace and joy 16:39 in the midst of darkness. So maybe there's a new tradition 16:43 that you can start to bring peace in your home and brighten 16:47 the hearts of people around you. After all, God is with us, and we 16:52 have peace. Truly He taught us how to love one another. His law is 21:16 love and His gospel is peace.
