A poor lost world to save. 09:36 To carry all our shame, and heal the hurt away, 09:45 bring hope to the hopeless, shield them from the blame. 09:54 Oh, isn't that why He came? 10:06 Dressed in tattered clothes, homeless and abused; 10:14 only Heaven knows the things that he's been through. 10:22 It would have been easier to turn and walk away, 10:31 but Calvary compels our hearts to stay. 10:39 Isn't that why He came? A poor lost world to save. 10:47 To carry all our shame, and heal the hurt away, 10:55 bring hope to the hopeless, shield them from the blame. 11:03 Oh, isn't that why He came? 11:11 For the rich man in a mansion, for the beggar on the street, 11:19 for the one who needs compassion, 11:23 for the strong and for the weak. 11:29 Isn't that why He came? A poor lost world to save. 11:37 To carry all our shame, and heal the hurt away, 11:45 bring hope to the hopeless, shield them from the blame. 11:53 Oh, isn't that why He came? 12:08 Oh, isn't that why He came? 12:30 - Amen. - Thank you. - That was so beautiful. 12:33 Celestine and Farah, thank you so much. 12:35 - Thank you, Farah. - Beautiful. 12:36 Praise the Lord. 12:37 You know, some people have what some might call, 12:41 bad kids. 12:43 But Jesus wasn't one of those bad kids. 12:44 Jesus, as this song tells us, was a wonderful Child. 12:48 And so I hope you enjoy it. 12:50 It's a beautiful song. It goes just like this. 12:58 Jesus, Jesus, oh what a wonderful child. 13:06 Jesus, Jesus, so lowly, meek, and mild. 13:14 New life, new hope, new joy He brings; 13:19 won't you listen to the angels sing, 13:23 "Glory, glory, glory to the new born King." 13:30 Let's sing that again. 13:32 Jesus, Jesus, oh what a wonderful Child. 13:41 Jesus, Jesus, so lowly, meek, and mild. 13:49 New life, new hope, new joy He brings; 13:53 won't you listen to the angels sing, 13:58 "Glory, glory, glory to the new born King." 14:06 He was herald by the angels, born in a lowly manger. 14:15 The virgin Mary was His mother 14:19 and Joseph was His earthly father. 14:23 Three Wiseman came from afar, 14:27 they were guided by a shining star, 14:32 to see King Jesus were He lay in a manger filled with hay. 14:40 Jesus, Jesus, oh what a wonderful Child. 14:49 Jesus, Jesus, so lowly, meek, and mild. 14:58 New life, new hope, new joy He brings; 15:02 won't you listen to the angels sing, 15:07 "Glory, glory, glory 15:15 to the new 15:20 born King." 15:31 - Amen. - Praise the Lord. 15:34 - Alright, praise the Lord. - Amen. 15:36 We're having church now. 15:38 Alright. 15:41 Thank you so much. That was beautiful, beautiful. 15:44 - Mark is going to... - He got on the keys didn't he? 15:47 I started to go get a little can, 15:49 I started to get a little bit of water and cool them down. 15:51 It looked like they were going to catch on fire there. 15:54 He's going to play, Sweet Little Jesus Boy, for us. 15:59 ~ Music ~ 19:06 Amen. 19:07 Beautiful, beautiful, Mark. 19:09 Well, Yvonne, I don't know about you, but I'm having 19:11 a great time today. 19:13 - Me too. - This song was so beautiful. 19:15 The words, "Sweet little Jesus boy," but the sad part 19:18 is they didn't know who He was, you know. 19:20 Today people don't know who He is, and that's 19:22 why we're here today. 19:24 And it's our responsibility, it's yours too as Christians, 19:28 to take the gospel into all the world. 19:30 Jesus says, "Go ye into all the world." 19:33 And we can do that. 19:34 Maybe our world is smaller, 19:35 but we've got to witness to those around us. 19:37 And remember, your greatest asset is your own personal 19:40 testimony of what God has done for you. 19:43 All the stuff you might memorize, the whole 19:45 or half of the Bible, or certain chapters, 19:47 but if you're not living it and they don't see Jesus in you, 19:50 the world is looking right now for answers 19:54 to this world's problems. 19:55 This world is in a mess. 19:56 There's only one way out, 19:58 and that's through the Lord Jesus Christ 19:59 and Him crucified. 20:00 Amen. 20:02 This is the time that most people have their attention 20:06 on Jesus. 20:07 So you know, Christmas music is playing. 20:09 Of course, sometimes it has nothing to do with Jesus, 20:12 but when it does, it's our opportunity 20:14 to really let people know 20:16 that Jesus is the reason for the season. 20:19 And He is behind all this. 20:21 So that is our goal today. 20:24 And if you know these songs, sing along with us. 20:28 Because we want you to sing and be a part of this whole thing. 20:32 So Jesus is truly the reason for this season. 20:38 Alright. So Ryan, can you give us a couple minutes 20:41 of maybe a little Christmas thought here? 20:42 Oh, absolutely. 20:43 You know, the night that Jesus was born, 20:46 the birth of Christ brought a lot of people together. 20:49 There was worship going on, there was singing going on. 20:53 And so, you know, it reminds me of how I grew up 20:57 when I was a kid, because my mom and dad, 20:59 they instilled within us children from a very early age, 21:02 as long as I could comprehend and remember back, 21:05 I remember my mom and dad always reminded me, 21:08 you know they would give us gifts and they would provide 21:10 that for us, it was never, 21:13 "Oh, look what Santa Claus brought you." 21:15 It was never that, they never once... 21:16 It was always, "You know what? 21:18 Jesus has blessed us to be able to have these. 21:19 That gift is from Jesus. 21:20 Christmas is about Jesus." 21:22 And so, you know, that was the time of year... 21:24 I love Christmas because it takes me back. 21:27 My mother has been gone now for three years, 21:30 but when my mother was alive, every Christmas brought 21:33 our family together. 21:34 And being in this setting right now with my brothers and sisters 21:37 in Christ, we're family. 21:39 We're the family of God. 21:40 Sitting around this piano singing praises to God. 21:43 That's what we did every Christmas with my family. 21:45 My mom was a fabulous pianist. 21:47 My dad played, you know, anything with strings, 21:49 he played the harmonica. 21:50 Of course, I was the drummer. 21:52 We had our own little family band. 21:53 But you could hear, if you drove by or walked by 21:55 the Day family residence in or around Christmas time, 21:58 even months before, Thanksgiving all the way forward, we would be 22:02 praising the Lord, and you could hear the gospel music 22:05 blaring from the Day family home. 22:07 So, just being around this piano today 22:10 and being able to sing with my brothers and sisters in Christ 22:12 takes me back to what Christmas is really all about. 22:15 Yes, it's first and foremost about Jesus Christ 22:18 and the gift of the birth of the Son of God 22:20 that we have to celebrate, but it's also a remembrance 22:24 that we have family. 22:26 And we can come together like this and worship Him together 22:28 as He intended it to be. 22:29 ~ Great. Thank you so much. 22:31 Wow, thank you, Ryan, for that. That was beautiful. 22:34 It gave us a picture of what happened in your household. 22:37 Let's sing, let's do another song, a group song. 22:39 O come All Ye Faithful. 22:52 O come all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant, 23:02 O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem. 23:12 O come and behold Him, born the King of angels. 23:21 O come let us adore Him, O come let us adore Him, 23:31 O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord. 23:42 Sing, choirs of angels, sing in exultation. 23:51 O sing all ye citizens of heaven above. 24:01 Glory to God, all glory in the highest. 24:10 O come let us adore Him, O come let us adore Him, 24:20 O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord. 24:52 Angles we have heard on high, 24:57 sweetly singing o'er the plains. 25:02 And the mountains in reply 25:07 echoing their joyous strains. 25:12 Gloria 25:22 in excelsis Deo. 25:27 Gloria 25:37 in excelsis Deo. 25:46 Come to Bethlehem and see 25:51 Him whose birth the angels sing. 25:56 Come, adore on bended knee 26:01 Christ the Lord, the new born King. 26:06 Gloria 26:16 in excelsis Deo. 26:21 Gloria 26:30 in excelsis Deo. 26:39 Amen, what a beautiful song. 26:41 Oh yes, Gloria. 26:43 My mother was named after that song, actually. 26:45 - Really? - She was named after that song. 26:47 Ryan is going to sing, Mary, Did You Know. 26:49 One of my favorite Christmas songs. 26:52 ~ Amen. The writer of this song said that if he could 26:54 interview the mother of Jesus, 26:56 these are the questions he would ask. 27:13 Mary, did you know that your baby boy 27:20 would one day walk on water? 27:26 Mary, did you know that your baby boy 27:32 would save our sons and daughters? 27:37 Did you know that your baby boy 27:44 has come to make you new? 27:49 This Child that you delivered 27:54 will soon deliver you. 27:59 Mary, did you know that your baby boy 28:06 will give sight to a blind man? 28:10 Mary, did you know that your baby boy 28:17 would calm a storm with His hand? 28:21 Did you know that your baby boy 28:29 has walked where angels trod? 28:33 When you kissed your little baby, 28:38 you've kissed the face of God? 28:44 The blind will see, the deaf will hear, 28:49 and the dead will live again. 28:54 The lame will leap, the dumb will speak 29:00 the praises of the Lamb. 29:11 Mary, did you know that your baby boy 29:21 is the Lord of all creation? 29:25 Mary, did you know that your baby boy 29:33 would one day rule all the nations? 29:37 Did you know that your baby boy 29:44 is heaven's perfect Lamb? 29:50 The sleeping Child you're holding 29:55 is the great I Am. 30:11 The great I am. 30:29 ~ Amen, amen. 30:32 I don't know whether to cry or to shout. 30:35 - Well, do both. - Do both, I'm telling you. 30:38 Oh, praise the Lord. 30:39 Those words, those lyrics are so powerful. 30:43 Ryan, you did a beautiful job. Be the Lord of my life." 50:18 I tell you what. 50:19 I came back to the Lord in 1985. 50:23 And I have never once regretted giving my heart to Jesus. 50:28 There's nothing like the Lord. 50:32 There's nothing like the Lord in our lives. 50:34 And I think we can all say that. 50:36 Our lives are not the same because of Jesus. 50:39 So if you want a new life, and if you want to experience 50:44 joy that you've never really had before, 50:47 please give Jesus a try. 50:49 You've tried everything else. 50:51 Give Jesus a try. 50:52 ~ And you'll be able to call the number here too 50:54 if you want someone to pray with you here at 3ABN. 50:57 You know, I was telling the guys, we were eating today, 51:01 Kim, Yvonne has got seven gold and platinum records, 51:04 and they're literally on the floor up against the wall. 51:07 She's never let me put one up. 51:08 I said, "Well, put some in your office. 51:10 Put them up on the walls." 51:12 And she said, "They don't mean anything to me. 51:14 I was doing that when I was in the world 51:15 and I wasn't really serving the Lord." 51:18 And so literally, I'm seeing this act of humility. 51:21 It's like, "I don't really need that, I don't want it." 51:23 So I got them as far as upstairs, but they're just 51:26 leaning against the wall. 51:27 But she says, "My life now is what I live for. 51:31 This is the happiest I've ever been in my life, 51:34 because of serving the Lord." 51:36 Paul, maybe a minute or two, somebody is out here 51:38 that needs to hear something from you. 51:40 What do you want to say today? 51:43 I shared this on the other program, but 51:45 I want to say to you that Jesus is really life. 51:52 Paul said, "You are dead, 51:53 and your life is hid with Christ in God. 51:56 And when Christ, who is your life, shall appear, 51:59 you shall appear with Him in glory." 52:01 For many years I lived a lifestyle of homosexuality. 52:05 But that was not my life. 52:07 God delivered my soul and gave me a wife and four children. 52:12 Because Jesus Christ is life. 52:16 And it's the greatest gift that you'll receive. 52:19 It's not just a cliché, ladies and gentlemen. 52:22 Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. 52:27 Thank You, Jesus. 52:29 Alright, Kim, not to put you on the spot, 52:31 you got any words for somebody listening today? 52:34 Well, today I'm a little emotional because 52:40 it was a journey getting here. 52:41 I'm taking care of my mom, and I've just been 52:46 really consumed in serving, which I love to do. 52:50 But during this time I miss my dad, and I miss my sister, 52:55 and I miss my fiancé. 52:57 You know, you miss family members because 52:59 this is a time of joy. 53:01 But the ones who you really love, 53:03 you can't reach out and touch. 53:05 And it hurts. 53:07 But Jesus, He will wrap His arms around you, baby, 53:16 and He will soothe the broken heart. 53:20 He will comfort you in ways that other people just cannot do. 53:24 They mean well. 53:26 But if you just soak in the Holy Spirit of the 53:30 Lord Jesus's grace, that it will change, 53:33 it will fade away gently. 53:35 And the next thing you know, wow, 53:38 you've got a smile on your face. 53:40 It's a journey. You have to bear through it. 53:43 But just have faith in knowing that God's got you. 53:48 He's holding you in His arms, and He's not letting go. 53:53 It appears that you're by yourself, 53:55 but you're never alone. 53:57 Never. 53:59 Just soak in the Word of God, 54:02 and allow yourself to feel His love. 54:06 And watch things change. 54:08 Your Christmas will not be bad. 54:11 He'll send someone to sit by your side. 54:14 He'll send someone to call you on the phone, 54:17 or invite you over to dinner, you know. 54:19 Because that's when love really spreads like oil. 54:24 I just want you to just be encouraged today. 54:27 Today is a good day for me. 54:29 I want to burst out in tears because this is so beautiful. 54:34 Just the singing, just the environment, 54:37 all of it, I'm just so honored to be a part of it. 54:40 And I just want to say, "Thank You, God. 54:42 I don't take anything for granted. 54:44 I thank You for every moment that You take to use me 54:49 and use the gift that You've given me. 54:52 And I thank You for it." 54:54 Thank y'all for having me here. 54:56 Thank you so much. 54:58 You know what we could do? 54:59 We've only got about three minutes left. 55:01 And, Ryan, I'd like you to say a little pray. 55:03 And then we're going to go out singing today. 55:05 I think we're going to do, Hark the Herald Angels Sing. 55:07 But why don't you just say a prayer. 55:09 The message has gone out, and now it's the Holy Spirit. 55:12 Because the reaping, we help do the sowing 55:16 and get it out there, but it's Jesus Christ 55:18 and Him crucified, and it's that Holy Spirit. 55:20 So why don't you just pray for each and every person 55:24 we've all talked about. 55:25 Especially Kim here. 55:26 Those people who are lonely, by themselves. 55:28 And speak to the Creator God of the universe. 55:33 Absolutely. 55:35 God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob, 55:39 God of Joseph, God of Moses and David. 55:42 God of the Bible, Lord, we call out to You right now. 55:44 During this Christmas season, Lord, perhaps 55:46 there's someone, someone out there, Lord, who is in pain, 55:50 who sorrows alone and who needs Your loving touch. 55:55 Father, I pray for my brothers and sisters 55:57 who might be in that valley of the shadow of death, 56:02 who might be experiencing that midnight of despair. 56:05 Light their world up, Lord. 56:07 Wrap Your loving arms around them. 56:10 And may Your love, Lord, as my sister just said, 56:13 may it spread like oil over their life, over their body, 56:17 that they may sense Your presence and know that 56:19 they are truly not alone. 56:21 Thank You for the birth of Your Son. 56:24 Thank You, Father, for Your love, 56:25 Your continual grace and mercy. 56:28 Send Your Spirit out like a shockwave across this world, 56:31 and draw your people to You. 56:32 We ask in Jesus' holy name. Amen. 56:36 ~ Amen. - Amen. 56:37 Our time is all gone, so until we see you next time, 56:40 may the Lord richly bless you abundantly more 56:42 than you could ever ask or think. 56:44 Go out singing with us today. 56:46 Let's sing, Hark the Herald Angels Sing. 56:52 Hark, the herald angels sing, 56:57 "Glory to the new born King. 57:02 Peace on earth, and mercy mild, 57:08 God and sinners reconciled." 57:13 Joyful all ye nations rise, 57:18 join the triumph of the skies. 57:23 With the angelic host proclaim, 57:28 "Christ is born in Bethlehem." 57:33 Hark, the herald angels sing, 57:38 "Glory to the new born King." 57:43 ~ Play for us right now.
