Praise the Lord. 02:31 Go, tell it on the mountain. 02:32 As you can see, today we're already having fun. 02:36 We had fun before we started, but we're going to have more fun 02:39 because you're here with us. 02:40 So thank you for allowing us to spend this time with you. 02:43 And as always, thank you for your love and your prayers 02:46 and support of 3ABN as we endeavor to take this great 02:49 gospel of the kingdom into all the world. 02:52 But you can tell from the scenery behind us 02:54 what time of year it is. 02:56 This is a special time of year because we get to talk about... 03:01 Jesus Christ and His birth. 03:04 Almost anywhere we go it's the only time of the year 03:07 you can go to all these different stores and you'll hear 03:09 songs about Jesus. 03:11 - Isn't that amazing? - It is. It's so beautiful. 03:13 I love this time of year. 03:15 Because there's so much focus on Jesus and His birth. 03:19 And so it gives you an opportunity really to minister. 03:22 It does. Speaking of ministering. 03:24 We are here today with some of our great friends, 03:27 and fellow musicians, and singers. 03:30 I'm going to start over here with Kris Wilkinson. 03:33 Kris, thank you so much for being here. 03:36 ~ Kris is one of our, we've been working together 42 years. 03:41 Because I remember 1982 we did a project with 03:44 Melody when she was just 11 years old. 03:46 And so we've been doing, I don't know how many projects 03:49 and how many times that we were together. 03:53 Well, while I'm here, I'll go ahead and jump to Larry, 03:55 because this is her husband; Larry Paxton. 03:58 And Larry, I've been working with him 04:00 about the same length of time. 04:02 But I was working with them before they were married. 04:05 So how many years have you been married? 04:08 Somebody tell me. 04:10 Yeah, so, 30 some odd... That's enough. 04:13 That's close enough. 04:14 So we've been knowing each other a long time. 04:18 And so, we're so glad you're here. 04:19 Kris is an arranger, and she does movies for... 04:24 Of course, about everything. 04:25 Grand Ole Opry and stuff around the world. 04:28 Musicals and all kinds of things. 04:30 And she's one of the, in my opinion, greatest 04:32 arrangers alive today. 04:34 Thank you for being here. 04:36 Larry, he's a member of the Grand Ole Opry. 04:38 If you watch that you'll see him, the bass. 04:40 But he's also an arranger and incredible musician. 04:43 He can jump from one instrument to another. 04:46 Especially the bass and guitar. 04:48 But I think I heard yesterday about the tuba, or something, 04:50 when he was blowing on a trombone. 04:53 Trombone, tuba, all of those. 04:55 Anyway, we're glad that you all are here today. 04:58 This is special. And of course, Tim Parton. 05:00 And Tim, you've been around 3ABN since ole Shep was a pup. 05:04 ~ We'd say a long time. 05:06 ~ He actually grew up, and we turned him gray. 05:08 That's the truth. 05:10 ~ I can see from your mustache we're aging you. 05:12 ~ We're sorry about that. 05:13 No, you're not, you're not sorry. 05:15 ~ You're more mature now. - I am more mature. 05:16 Tim also is one of, not only a great friend but I can say this, 05:21 one of the greatest piano players, I believe, alive also. 05:26 Because God has gifted you tremendously. 05:28 ~ So we're glad that you're here today. 05:30 I also play the tuba. 05:31 ~ You play the tuba? - Yeah. 05:33 ~ I don't want to hear it. - In a marching band. 05:34 - Marching band. ~ We just need you on the piano. 05:36 I played the oboe in the orchestra. 05:39 But then we couldn't march with the oboe. 05:41 - So I had to go to the... ~ We don't need an oboe. 05:43 This is all about me. 05:45 We just need a piano from Tim Parton. 05:48 ~ Everybody else... - Okay, moving on. 05:52 ~ I'm moving on, yeah, I'm moving on. 05:53 Big Gene, big Gene McDonald. So good to have you here. 05:56 Thank you very much. 05:58 ~ Gene, you've been singing, you and Ladye knew each other 06:01 years and years ago, right? 06:03 ~ Put your mic up close. - Since 1983. 06:06 - I was two. - Back in college or something. 06:10 I must have been one. 06:14 But Gene is considered one of the... 06:17 Also again, these are great, I don't care what genre 06:20 of music, these are great singers and musicians. 06:22 But we give God the honor and glory and praise. 06:25 So we're not just uplifting you all, 06:27 we're uplifting the Jesus in you. 06:29 But you've been everywhere singing. 06:32 You still do a lot of stuff with the Gaithers. 06:34 You do stuff on your own. 06:35 - Yes, sir. - All of that. 06:37 So thank you again for being here. 06:39 Gene has such a great attitude and is a great friend. 06:42 ~ We love being around you because 06:44 you're always a happy person. 06:45 So thank you. 06:47 And of course, Reggie and Ladye Love. 06:48 I think they're on 3ABN as much or more than Yvonne and me. 06:51 So they probably need no introduction. 06:54 I play the flute, I just want you to know. 06:56 ~ Okay, well Ladye, you can play the flute if you want to. 07:00 ~ Tim can't play the oboe, 07:02 but you can play the flute if you want to. 07:03 If it's all coming out, I was a trumpet player 07:06 in a concert band. 07:07 Okay, Reggie, you can't play the trumpet. 07:12 Ladye can play, and she can play the violin. 07:15 The fiddle, or whichever one, depending on the type of music. 07:19 ~ Danny, I want to tell you this. 07:21 That Gene actually met Ladye Love before I met Ladye Love. 07:26 I'm not going to go into the story. 07:27 I know it, but I just want to let you know it. 07:29 So they've know each other a long time. 07:30 - But it all turned out okay. - It did. 07:31 - Oh yeah. - It did. 07:33 - Upfront and legal? - Oh yes, oh yes. 07:35 Good, that's the way we like it. 07:36 And of course, standing next to me is my beautiful wife, Yvonne. 07:40 And everybody knows about her, and her love for Jesus. 07:42 Praise the Lord. 07:44 I feel like a failure though around all these people 07:46 who play all these instruments. 07:48 I don't play any instrument. 07:53 No, what happens is, she doesn't really want to. 07:55 She just says, "That's my old life 07:57 and I really don't care about it." 07:59 But of course, thank you for not only the great... 08:02 You know, God has given her a great gift, 08:04 but she's got great heart. 08:06 Because I know, I've lived with her now for a number of years. 08:08 So I love you with all my heart and glad you're here today. 08:11 And then we get to celebrate with you all. 08:13 And we're glad you're here. 08:15 Oh, well, I'm happy to be here too. 08:17 At my age, I'm happy to be anywhere. 08:19 So as long as we're on our feet, we're doing okay. 08:23 But I think we're going to get into a real beautiful song. 08:26 Maybe one of my all-time favorite Christmas songs. 08:29 Silent Night. 08:32 And we're just going to kind of help a little bit, right? 08:34 - Yep. - Alright. 08:55 Silent night, holy night; 09:03 all is calm, all is bright 09:13 round yon virgin, mother and Child; 09:22 holy Infant so tender and mild. 09:32 Sleep in heavenly peace. 09:44 Sleep in heavenly peace. 10:00 Silent night, holy night; 10:09 Son of God, love's pure light, 10:19 radiant beams from Thy holy face, 10:28 with the dawn of redeeming grace, 10:38 Jesus Lord at Thy birth. 10:55 Jesus Lord at Thy birth. 11:21 Amen, so beautiful. Thank you so much. 11:25 Some of us are going to sit down. 11:27 I think Larry is going to change instruments. 11:30 And we'll let you and Ladye and Tim, alright. 11:49 The road was dusty, rough, and long; 11:54 her labour pains were getting strong. 11:58 The inns were full as night closed in on them. 12:06 Young Mary made it to a barn, 12:11 leaning hard on Joseph's arm. 12:15 His coat and straw would make for her a bed. 12:23 That night in Bethlehem, city of bread, 12:32 long promised Bread of Life was born. 12:40 Brightest star and darkest night, treasure and loss, 12:48 the Word and the Bread of Life, 12:53 the manger and the cross. 13:04 A wooden manger was His bed, 13:07 a bag of grain held His sweet head. 13:12 The borrowed cave became His borrowed home. 13:20 Soon borrowed neighbors came to see 13:24 this fragile Babe, eternity, 13:29 lying there in Mary's arms awake. 13:37 And did the carpenter feel the rough wood? 13:46 Was there in Mary's heart some pain? 13:54 Brightest star and darkest night, treasure and loss, 14:02 the Word and the Bread of Life, 14:07 the manger and the cross. 14:13 O come and place a baby's face 14:21 where all heaven and earth 14:26 dance in the light. 14:29 All the hopes and fears of all the years 14:38 are met in You tonight. 14:47 Tonight. 14:51 Tender head and rugged wood, 14:56 deepest hunger, holy food; 15:00 the breath of God comes right to where we are. 15:07 Oh yes, that night in Bethlehem, city of bread, 15:17 long promised Bread of Life was born. 15:25 Brightest glory and darkest night, treasure and loss, 15:34 the Word and the holy Seed, 15:40 the Word and the holy Seed, 15:47 the manger and the cross. 16:06 Thank you, Reggie and Ladye. 16:07 - Beautiful, wasn't it? - It was so beautiful. 16:10 Those words are so profound. 16:12 As you listen to it, and the way the writer... 16:16 I think it was Gloria Gaither. Didn't she write the lyrics? 16:19 The way she interweaves, you know, the Bread of Life 16:22 and Bethlehem being the city of bread. 16:25 It's just beautiful. 16:26 - It is. - Beautiful. 16:28 - And you did a beautiful job. - Absolutely. 16:30 And speaking of beautiful job, I'm so glad again that 16:33 Kris and Larry are here, and Tim. 16:36 So you all are going to bless us now. 16:37 What songs are you going to do? 16:39 We're going to play a couple of Christmas standards. 16:42 It Came Upon A Midnight Clear, and, What Child Is This. 16:52 ~ Music ~ 18:45 Amen. Wasn't that beautiful? 18:48 So soothing. 18:49 That was so good, maybe we can get you to do another one. 18:54 We came prepared. 18:56 I thought you did. Good, good. 19:04 ~ Music ~ 22:18 Amen, I love it. Wasn't that beautiful? 22:21 - Beautiful, beautiful. - It was absolutely beautiful. 22:24 Gene, I'm wondering if we could get you to sing a song. 22:28 But before you do, maybe just tell us a little bit 22:31 what Jesus means to you. 22:33 This is the time of the year. 22:34 And I know you're in the ministry that you get to 22:37 share about Jesus year around, but maybe something special 22:42 right now this time of year for our folks at home. 22:44 If you want to go ahead, you are going to sing next, right? 22:46 ~ Yes, sir. - Okay. 22:48 So you know, I think that this year means more to me. 22:55 I've got a son that's in college, 22:56 about to graduate college with a Phys Ed degree. 23:00 And I've got a son that's going into college. 23:02 And he wants to go into Mortuary Science. 23:08 So it's interesting how the phase of the Christmas season 23:13 is changing, but the story is never changed. 23:15 It's still the same, it's still the glorious birth. 23:22 And that He died for me. 23:25 But He was born for me. 23:27 And so, it means a lot that we have the chance 23:32 to tell others about Jesus. 23:34 And that we have to tell especially this season 23:38 where it all started. 23:41 That it was just a little stable, and that it was just a 23:49 trough that He was born in. 23:54 So to know that the shepherds were out in the field 23:58 with their flocks, and that the angels came and said, 24:01 "Fear not." 24:06 And this time of year a lot of people have got a lot of 24:09 things to fear, and a lot of things that they're afraid of. 24:14 And it seems like more every day that there's something 24:19 that's going on that people are scared of 24:22 or people are worried about. 24:25 And the biggest thing that we can say is, "Fear not." 24:29 Because God is in control, and He is on the throne still. 24:35 So I'm just grateful that God has given me a voice 24:41 to tell others about Jesus. 24:43 Whether it's just telling them or singing the words. 24:47 ~ Absolutely, absolutely. 24:49 What are you going to do for us now? 24:51 I'm going to do, Angels From the Realms of Glory. 25:07 Angels from the realms of glory, 25:12 wing your flight o'er all the earth; 25:17 ye who sang creation's story 25:23 now proclaim Messiah's birth. 25:28 Come and worship, come and worship; 25:34 worship Christ the newborn King. 25:44 Shepherds in the field abiding, 25:50 watching o'er your flocks by night, 25:56 God with man is now residing; 26:01 yonder shines the infant light. 26:07 Come and worship, come and worship; 26:13 worship Christ the newborn King. 26:23 Saints, before the altar bending, 26:29 watching long in hope and fear; 26:35 suddenly the Lord descending 26:40 in His temple shall appear. 26:46 Come and worship, come and worship; 26:53 worship Christ the newborn King. 27:12 Amen, beautiful. 27:14 - I love it, I love it. - Beautiful. 27:16 How about another one? 27:17 Alright, well we can do something else. 27:18 Yeah, absolutely. 27:20 Don't go away and leave us hanging there. 27:23 Well, you know, it's amazing what God has done for me. 27:30 I've been married to my beautiful wife for 21 years. 27:34 I have two children; one is 22, one is 18. 27:39 Like I said, he just turned 18. 27:42 So it's amazing that God has allowed me 27:45 to be able to sing. 27:47 I started with my mom and dad in 1969 singing. 27:51 So I've been doing it a few years. 27:54 And I'm just thankful that God has allowed me 27:56 to still be doing it. 28:00 So I've known Tim for 30 years now 28:05 when he was with the Spear family. 28:06 And I've known Reggie and Ladye Love for 30 plus years. 28:11 Some 40 years. 28:17 So it's amazing, it's amazing that God has allowed us 28:22 to stay as family. 28:23 And the more that we're around each other, 28:25 the more family we become. 28:28 So it's just, it's just an honor to be here. 28:32 I'm glad that God has allowed us to just love on each other 28:36 through this season. 28:38 There are people out there that don't have anybody to love on. 28:41 So we're here to love on you, to tell you that 28:44 you're not alone, that you're worth it. 28:47 And this is just a great song. 29:01 Beautiful Savior. 29:07 Lord of all nations. 29:12 Son of God and Son of Man. 29:23 Glory and honor, 29:29 praise and adoration, 29:34 now and forevermore be thine. 29:50 Fair is the sunshine, 29:56 fairer still the moonlight, 30:01 and all the twinkling starry host. 30:12 Jesus shines brighter, 30:18 Jesus shines purer 30:23 than all the angels heaven can boast. 30:35 Fairest Lord Jesus, 30:40 ruler of all nations, 30:46 O thou of God and man the Son. 30:57 Thee will I cherish, 31:02 Thee will I honor, 31:08 thou my soul's glory, joy, and crown. 31:27 Amen, praise the Lord. 31:30 I love Big Gene's singing because you have an anointing. 31:34 - He does. - Not everybody does. 31:35 There are some great singers and musicians, 31:38 but they don't always have an anointing. 31:40 And you all do. So thank you again so much. 31:44 Speaking of that, Tim Parton has an anointing. 31:48 I don't know, sometimes maybe in life, we don't even... 31:52 For me, sometimes you don't think about it. 31:54 Different ways you're going in life, 31:56 especially when you're younger, and sometimes when we get older. 32:00 But that anointing, I think, once God puts it there, 32:03 as long as you say, "Well, Lord, I'm going to... 32:05 I'm coming back to You. I'm going to do my best." 32:07 I found that on myself there's an anointing when I get up 32:12 to speak, and maybe not feel it. 32:15 And all of a sudden, it's like, wow, I feel that anointing. 32:18 And that's what we really want. 32:20 Because it's really Jesus working through us 32:23 in spite of us. 32:24 And so, He does that. 32:25 So each of you, as you sing. 32:27 Yvonne, she can sing and bring me to tears. 32:30 You know, because there's such an anointing on her. 32:33 Tim has that too in his playing and his singing. 32:36 And we haven't gotten to hear you play, 32:39 so at least sing a song, and then maybe play one for us too. 32:43 ~ Okay, alright. In that order? 32:45 No, whichever you want. 32:47 Okay, let's do... 32:49 ~ Music ~ 35:10 Mercy. 35:11 I need to get some water and cool that piano off. 35:14 - Fire extinguisher. - Yeah, fire extinguisher. 35:16 Alright, well I'll just calm down a little bit. 35:19 ~ That is an incredible, incredible gift. 35:21 And I know you give God the credit. 35:23 You've been playing here for many, many years, 35:26 and living here for many, many, years. 35:29 We've traveled together. 35:31 But I can honestly say, I'm sure all of you are the same way, 35:35 I never get tired of hearing him play. 35:37 And he never can make anything boring, 35:39 because he never plays it the same way twice. 35:42 So if you ask him to do what he just did all over again, 35:46 it would sound totally different but still be incredible. 35:49 So what an arranger you are as well. 35:52 I'm sure Kris and Larry over there, 35:54 that's taking their breath too. 35:56 ~ Oh yeah, I know. I learned, I learned what... 35:58 My dad would play albums of Kris Wilkinson 36:01 when I was a little boy. 36:04 No, I meant Larry Paxton. 36:06 I meant Larry. 36:12 Oh well, it has always been a thrill to be a part of these 36:16 Christmas programs because the people out watching, 36:22 they don't know what all goes into these programs. 36:26 And you'd be surprised, but there's not really a whole lot 36:30 that goes into these. 36:31 We come in though with a willingness to sing, 36:34 and a whole lot of songs in our repertoire, I guess. 36:39 But it's just a delight to sing about Jesus. 36:44 And there's a song, I'm going to totally surprise myself here, 36:48 I like this little song. 36:50 ~ Music ~ 37:54 Let's do that chorus and let the folks at home, 37:57 they haven't gotten to sing with us much today. 37:59 I saw Gene, I looked around and everybody was singing, 38:01 "Tell me the story of Jesus." 38:04 Maybe if you would do it again and lead us. 38:06 And Gene, that sounds like it's in your key for sure. 38:09 I saw you over there singing it. 38:11 But we all can just join in. 38:13 Those of you at home, please join with us. 38:15 Tell me the Story of Jesus. 38:18 Tell me the story of Jesus, 38:24 write on my heart every word; 38:30 tell me the story most precious, 38:36 sweetest that ever was heard. 38:43 Tell how the angels, in chorus, 38:49 sang as they welcomed His birth, 38:55 "Glory to God in the highest. 39:02 Peace and good tidings to earth." 39:09 Tell me the story of Jesus, 39:16 write on my heart every word; 39:23 tell me the story most precious, 39:30 sweetest that ever was heard. 39:35 Continue on what you were doing. 40:02 Have you heard the sound of the angel voices 40:10 ringing out so sweetly, ringing out so clear? 40:18 Have you seen the star shining out so brightly 40:26 as a sign from God that Christ the Lord is here? 40:34 Have you heard the news that they bring from heaven 40:41 to the humble shepherds who have waited long? 40:50 Gloria in excelsis Deo. Gloria in excelsis Deo. 40:58 Hear the angels sing their joyful song. 41:07 He is come in peace in the winter's stillness, 41:14 like a gentle snowfall in the gentle night. 41:21 He is come in joy, like the sun at morning, 41:28 filling all the world with radiance and light. 41:36 He has come in love as the Child of Mary; 41:43 in a simple stable, we have seen His birth. 41:51 Gloria in excelsis Deo. Gloria in excelsis Deo. 41:59 Hear the angels singing, "Peace on earth." 42:30 He will bring new light to a world in darkness, 42:38 like a bright star shining in the skies above. 42:45 He will bring new hope to the waiting nations 42:53 when He comes to reign in purity and love. 43:00 Let the earth rejoice at the Saviors coming, 43:07 let the heavens answer with a joyful horn. 43:15 Gloria in excelsis Deo. Gloria in excelsis Deo. 43:24 Hear the angels singing, "Christ is born." 43:33 Hear the angels singing, "Christ is born." 43:52 Amen. I love that song. 43:55 Is that a fairly new song? 43:57 - Is that an old song? ~ It's an old choral piece. 43:59 ~ I just missed it somewhere? - Yeah. 44:01 It's an old choral piece. 44:03 ~ I love it, it's beautiful. - Yeah, it's a nice song. 44:05 ~ I may have you do a little bit of that 44:07 if we've got a little extra time. 44:08 May have to have you do a little bit of that again. 44:10 I'll teach it to you later. 44:12 ~ Talk to us, Yvonne. 44:14 So as I was listening to Tim, you start thinking about 44:19 what happened on that night. 44:22 And how in Isaiah it says, "For unto us, a Child is born, 44:26 unto us, a Son is given. 44:28 And the government shall be upon His shoulder, 44:30 and His name will be called, Wonderful, Counselor, 44:34 the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, 44:37 the Prince of Peace." 44:39 And then you hear, you think about 44:41 how the angels, how all of heaven was rejoicing 44:46 at the birth of this Child, because Jesus, God Himself, 44:51 entered into His creation and lived the life of a human being. 44:57 I mean, He came from heaven, paradise, 45:01 to this hellhole... 45:04 I don't know if I... Can I say that? 45:05 ~ Yeah, you just did. - Okay, okay. 45:07 Because you think about it, when He came, 45:10 they didn't even have the amenities that we have. 45:13 He came with no hot and cold running water, 45:16 plumbing and stuff like that. 45:18 ~ She would think of that, hot and cold water first. 45:21 Ladye Love is shaking her head. 45:22 But you know, you know, you think about where He left, 45:26 paradise, and He came here. 45:29 And He came here for me. 45:33 Because I was so wretched. 45:36 He came here to die for me. 45:40 And when we say that to ourselves and we think about 45:44 what He did and the sacrifice that He made 45:47 so that we could have eternal life. 45:50 Because He became sin for us that we might 45:53 become the righteousness of God in Him. 45:56 And when I think about the gospel of Jesus Christ 46:00 and what He's done, and how His death and resurrection 46:05 assures me of salvation, if I connect with Him. 46:11 And that's all you have to do. 46:13 You have to connect with Him. 46:15 It's not about... 46:16 Of course you have do's and don'ts. 46:18 Of course, you have rules. 46:20 But it's about relationship. 46:21 The rules come as an outgrowth of your love for Him. 46:27 Obedience is an outgrowth of your love, 46:31 but you are reconciled to Him through His atonement, 46:36 through what He did on that cross. 46:38 The blood that was shed for us. 46:41 That's how we're reconciled to God. 46:43 And so, I'm so grateful for this time of year 46:48 where we can share more 46:52 because people are more open to it. 46:54 We can share more of what He's done, and who He is, 46:58 and how He loves you so much 47:02 that He would give everything for you. 47:06 And He bore that cross, despising the shame, 47:11 for the joy that was set before Him. 47:14 He thought about you when He was hanging on that cross. 47:18 We were on His mind. 47:20 So I just praise the Lord today. 47:22 I praise the Lord for my friends who minister so beautifully. 47:26 I praise the Lord for you. 47:28 I don't know what I'd do without you. 47:30 And I'm so grateful that we can all be here 47:33 and just praise our God together, 47:37 and worship Him together. 47:39 To me, it's just a beautiful thing. 47:41 Thank you. And that's some great preaching actually. 47:44 Because as you were talking, I was thinking about 47:47 so many people; and you wonder, you know, why there's 47:49 so few Christians in the world. 47:51 And even here in the United States of America. 47:54 We can go about to the 1960's, about 90% of people 47:58 would call themselves Christians. 48:00 Today, about 64% or so. 48:04 And I think it's because of us. 48:06 Many of us aren't really, people aren't seeing Jesus in us. 48:11 Because we've got people that feel like, 48:13 "Hey, once I'm saved, I can do whatever I want." 48:16 You've got people who say, "To get saved, I've got to 48:18 get up this morning and I've got my checklist. 48:21 Do's, don't. Oh no, I messed up." 48:23 Well after a while, you get tired of that. 48:25 And you say, "I just can't do it." 48:27 And on the other hand, you know when you're way out here 48:29 that the Lord couldn't possibly bless that. 48:33 And people are watching our lives. 48:36 And as they watch our lives, they want to see Jesus in us. 48:39 Because He says, "I, if I be lifted up from this earth, 48:42 will draw all men unto Me." 48:44 So it's my hope and prayer that each of us during this time 48:48 can rededicate our lives to the Lord 48:50 and ask Jesus to give us a brand new touch. 48:53 Because He was... 48:55 And I don't know if we can do this without practicing it. 48:58 But after what you said, He was not just an ordinary baby. 49:03 That's right. 49:07 Ladye Love put you and Tim on the spot. 49:12 Another Gloria Gaither song. Beautiful song. 49:16 He was just an ordinary baby; 49:25 that's the way He planned it, maybe. 49:32 Anything less than common would have kept Him apart 49:42 from the children that He came to rescue, 49:51 limited to some elite few, 49:57 when He was the only child who asked to be born. 50:08 And He came to us with eyes wide open, 50:16 knowing how we're hurt and broken, 50:23 choosing to partake of all our joy and pain. 50:34 He was just an ordinary baby; 50:42 that's the way He planned it, maybe. 50:49 So that we could come to Him 50:52 and not be afraid. 51:01 He was ordinary with exception 51:09 of miraculous conception. 51:15 Both His birth and death were planned from the start. 51:24 But between His entrance and His exit 51:33 was a life that has affected 51:38 everyone who's walked the earth to this very day. 51:49 And with no airs of condescension 51:57 He became God's pure extension, 52:03 giving you and me a chance to be remade. 52:12 He was just an ordinary baby; 52:21 that's the way He planned it, maybe. 52:28 So that we could come to Him 52:32 and not be afraid. 52:41 So that we could come to Him 52:45 and not be afraid. 52:56 He was just an ordinary baby. 53:14 Gather around the piano. 53:15 Absolutely beautiful. 53:18 I have no idea what it would sound like if they'd practiced. 53:22 There again is that anointing of the Holy Spirit. 53:25 Absolutely incredible. 53:27 And what I'd like to do is, I'm going to ask you, Yvonne, 53:31 if you would say a prayer for those today. 53:34 And someone mentioned it earlier, there are people, 53:37 maybe Gene you said we just want to love on people today. 53:40 Because there's people at home, and maybe they don't 53:42 have family around them. 53:44 But we want them to know that Jesus is there, 53:46 and He's always there. 53:48 And that today, if you need a new touch from the Lord, 53:53 today is the day. 53:54 Today is the day of salvation, right now this moment. 53:57 So while Yvonne is praying, we'd like for you to 54:00 pray with her and ask Jesus to come in. 54:02 All you have to say is, "Lord, I'm a sinner. 54:05 I realize we're all sinners. 54:07 But I want to ask You to forgive me for my sins. 54:10 I'm sorry for my sins. 54:12 And I will pick up my cross and follow You." 54:14 And when you submit and commit your life to Jesus, 54:19 you'll want to go and tell what He's done for you. 54:21 Your personal testimony is your greatest asset 54:24 that you have on this earth. 54:26 It's not how much Bible we know. 54:28 It's our personal testimony about our relationship 54:31 with the Lord Jesus Christ. 54:33 So I'm going to have you say a prayer. 54:36 Then we might have to end this program, 54:38 when we say, "Go and tell," we might have to 54:39 do a verse of, Go Tell it On the Mountain. 54:42 That's to give production a little heads up. 54:46 - Pray for us. - Yes. 54:48 Father God, we just thank You so very much 54:51 for sending Your Son to this earth to live as a man, 54:55 and to die, and to be resurrected; 54:57 and to be King of kings and Lord of lords. 55:00 And we're here to worship Him. 55:02 And there are so many people who might know Him 55:04 for themselves, Lord, and we just pray for Your Holy Spirit 55:08 to work on them, to want to get to know Him for themselves. 55:12 For to know Him is to love Him. 55:14 So we stand before You as sinners, and we stand before You 55:18 in need of a touch. 55:19 We all want to grow and we all want to 55:22 get closer to You, Lord Jesus. 55:24 So thank You for this privilege. 55:26 And we pray for those who are hurting 55:27 and lonely during this season. 55:29 We pray, Lord, that You will let them know that You love them, 55:32 that You're with them, that You'll never 55:34 leave them nor forsake them. 55:36 Thank You for hearing our prayer and being our God. 55:39 In Jesus' name, we pray, amen. 55:41 Amen. We want to thank you for joining us today. 55:44 As we always say, until we see you next time, 55:47 may the Lord richly bless you abundantly more 55:49 than you could ever ask or think. 55:51 But for right now, why don't you sing with us? 55:54 We're going to go out with, Go Tell it On the Mountain. 56:04 Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere, 56:11 go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born. 56:18 While shepherds kept their watching 56:22 o'er silent flocks by night, 56:26 behold throughout the heavens there shone a holy light. 56:35 Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere, 56:42 go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born. 56:49 Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere, 56:57 go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born. 57:05 The shepherds feared and trembled 57:08 when, lo, above the earth 57:12 rang out the angel's chorus that hailed the Savior's birth. 57:22 Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere, 57:30 go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born. 57:37 That Jesus Christ is born. 57:41 That Jesus Christ is born. |
