00:09 The first Noel the angel did say
00:17 was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay;
00:24 in fields where they lay keeping their sheep
00:32 on a cold winter's night that was so deep.
00:39 Noel, noel, noel, noel,
00:48 born is the King of Israel.
00:55 Noel, noel, noel, noel,
01:03 born is the King of Israel.
01:18 Hark, the herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King.
01:27 Peace on earth and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled."
01:35 Joyful, all ye nations rise, join the triumph of the skies.
01:44 With angelic host proclaim, "Christ is born in Bethlehem."
01:53 Hark, the herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King."
02:05 Hail the heaven-born Prince of Peace,
02:10 hail the Sun of Righteousness.
02:15 Light and life to all He brings, risen with healing in His wings.
02:24 Mild He lays His glory by, born that man no more may die,
02:33 born to raise us from the earth, born to give us second birth.
02:42 Hark, the herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King."
02:59 Infant holy, infant lowly, for His bed a cattle stall.
03:08 Oxen lowing, little knowing Christ the Babe is Lord of all.
03:17 Swift are winging angels singing,
03:21 noels ringing, tidings bringing;
03:26 Christ the Babe is Lord of all, Christ the Babe is Lord of all.
03:44 Flocks were sleeping, shepherds keeping
03:48 vigil till the morning new
03:53 saw the glory, heard the story, tidings of the gospel true.
04:01 Thus rejoicing, free from sorrow,
04:05 praises voicing, greet the morrow;
04:10 Christ the Babe was born for you,
04:15 Christ the Babe was born for you.
04:24 O come all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant,
04:34 O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem.
04:43 Come and behold Him, born the King of angels.
04:52 O come let us adore Him, O come let us adore Him,
05:01 O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
05:10 Sing, choirs of angels, sing in exultation.
05:19 O sing all ye citizens of heaven above.
05:29 Glory to God, all glory in the highest.
05:37 O come let us adore Him, O come let us adore Him,
05:47 O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
05:58 Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning.
06:08 Jesus, to Thee be all glory given.
06:17 Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing.
06:26 O come let us adore Him, O come let us adore Him,
06:35 O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
06:49 - Amen. - Amen.
06:51 Hello and welcome to our 3ABN Christmas Special.
06:54 We are so thankful that you decided to join us today.
06:59 - Right, Honey? - Absolutely.
07:00 We know you can be anywhere you wanted to be,
07:03 but thank you for sharing this time with us.
07:06 And we love this time of year.
07:09 Our set, isn't this nice?
07:10 It's really not cold outside.
07:13 It just looks like it.
07:14 But maybe we're looking out the windows.
07:16 What a beautiful set the crew has put together here.
07:19 And what a great company that we have with you,
07:23 and also with our, I'm going to say, brothers and sisters here.
07:27 We're not strangers by any means.
07:30 Most of us have known each other for a long time.
07:32 So happy and so blessed to be working in ministry
07:36 with each and every one of you.
07:38 I'm going to start this time with my wife over here, Yvonne.
07:41 I love her with all my heart.
07:42 I love you, Honey, and thank you so much
07:44 for what you do for the cause of God.
07:46 And an incredible talent that God has given you.
07:49 And I'm so thankful that you use it for Jesus.
07:52 Praise the Lord. Thank you.
07:54 We've got Pastor John Lomacang.
07:56 Pastor, it's good to have you here.
07:57 Yes, it is good to know that the Lord
07:59 brought us through a whole lot to bring us to the time
08:02 when we can glorify Him in the season.
08:04 Absolutely.
08:05 Reggie and Ladye Love Smith.
08:08 All the way, man, from Nashville, Tennessee.
08:10 Of course, that's about a three hour drive.
08:12 But it sounds good when you say they came all the way from.
08:16 And we're so glad that you're here.
08:18 Of course, people have seen you on videos
08:20 and in person around the world.
08:22 They've done everything from sing on Disney movies
08:25 back in the days when they were younger.
08:27 And doing gospel music with somebody named
08:30 Bill Gaither, if you've ever heard of him.
08:32 The Gaither Vocal Band.
08:34 Of course, Ladye is traveling.
08:35 Gene, Big Gene McDonald is here also.
08:38 And you also are traveling and singing around the world.
08:41 Incredible, incredible bass voice.
08:44 ~ When I get to heaven, I want to be just like you
08:46 and have that big booming voice.
08:48 And sitting on the piano is the, kind of the foundation,
08:54 the footing of our little group here together.
08:56 ~ We call him, Dr. Tim Parton.
08:58 Yes, you do. With reverence.
09:00 I feel like anybody that is as good as he is
09:02 and specializes as he does in anything
09:05 should have a doctorates degree.
09:07 ~ You're saying this is all I know how to do, basically.
09:09 ~ No, no, no. I'm just saying...
09:11 No, I'm saying.
09:12 In this specialty. I like your hat, by the way.
09:15 Thank you very much.
09:16 It's covering my spot from the cold.
09:19 ~ Traveling around the word and been with
09:20 3ABN for many, many years.
09:22 Thank you for what you've done.
09:23 And you watch him on 3ABN. He's on a lot of programs.
09:27 And what's the music by request program?
09:30 That's been very successful.
09:32 Your Favorites by Request.
09:33 ~ Favorites, and people from around the world.
09:36 We turn that on at home and watch it.
09:38 We love to see all in your group there.
09:40 Then we have over here...
09:41 I don't think we gave them microphones.
09:43 It's not because we didn't want you talking.
09:45 But I'll start with Kris Wilkinson.
09:48 ~ And Kris, as I've mentioned before, we've been working
09:51 together since 1982.
09:53 We met there, we were both just young toddlers back then.
09:56 And Kris is a string arranger, a musician,
09:59 and has played behind just about everybody you can think of
10:03 literally in country music and other genres of music.
10:06 Done Hollywood movies herself literally.
10:09 It's an amazing career, amazing legacy that you have, Kris.
10:14 And your husband, Larry.
10:15 Of course, he's part of that.
10:17 ~ All of his time.
10:18 And he's still playing bass at the Grand Ole Opry
10:20 several nights a week.
10:21 Plus he's arranging.
10:22 He plays everything from guitars to bass.
10:26 I don't know all the other instruments.
10:28 But we do know his trombone.
10:31 ~ I think there's something else, a few other things.
10:33 I have a feeling, Larry, anything he picks up
10:36 within a few days he's going to be able to
10:38 get some music out of it that might take
10:40 the rest of us a lot of years.
10:42 Yeah, he's absolutely an arranger.
10:44 And somebody from the Grand Ole Opry told me, they said,
10:47 "Pax," they call him, Pax,
10:49 "Pax is the greatest musician and arranger
10:53 in the Grand Ole Opry."
10:54 And that's saying a lot because they've got some great
10:56 musicians from around the world there.
10:59 Anyway, again we're glad that you're here
11:01 and allow us to spend this time with you.
11:03 And we're going to be talking about Jesus today,
11:06 we're going to be singing about Jesus.
11:08 It's a special time of year.
11:09 And speaking of that, you guys ought to write a song sometime
11:12 called, This Special Time of Year.
11:14 ~ As a matter of fact, I did.
11:16 You did, that's exactly right.
11:17 Give me an F, give me an F.
11:20 That special time of year when friends and family gather near
11:26 and celebrate together and make memories we'll remember forever.
11:34 That special time of year when hugs are warm and we can hear
11:40 those bells out in the distance.
11:43 Everyone loves this special time of year.
11:50 Completely unrehearsed. Wasn't that beautiful?
11:52 - I love it. - I love that song.
11:54 It just came to me, This Special Time of Year.
11:56 But since you did that, we're going to have you guys,
11:58 maybe Reggie and Ladye, do a little music for us.
12:01 And after that, we're going to have Pastor John to come up
12:04 and he's going to sing and give us a little word today,
12:07 which we need, and I think the folks at home will be blessed.
12:10 And then, of course, Big Gene and Kris and Larry,
12:13 all of us will be involved.
12:14 So right now we're going to turn it over to you guys.
12:32 Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
12:38 let your heart be light.
12:44 From now on our troubles will be out of sight.
12:57 Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
13:04 make the yuletide gay.
13:09 From now on our troubles will be miles away.
13:22 Here we are as in olden days,
13:27 happy golden days of yore.
13:34 Faithful friends who are dear to us,
13:39 gather near to us once more.
13:47 Through the years we all will be together,
13:54 if the Lord allows.
13:59 Hang a shining star upon the highest bough,
14:11 and have yourself a merry little Christmas now.
14:43 Here we are as in olden days,
14:48 happy golden days of yore.
14:55 Faithful friends who are dear to us
15:00 gather near to us once more.
15:08 Through the years we all will be together,
15:14 is the Lord allows.
15:20 Hang a shining star upon the highest bough,
15:32 and have yourself
15:35 a merry little Christmas now.
16:07 - Nice. Very good. - That's nice.
16:11 You ought to do another one?
16:12 Oh, okay. You know what?
16:14 I love that song; it talks a lot of our faithful friends
16:18 who are dear to us.
16:19 That's what I love about Christmas too.
16:22 Of course it's about the Christ Child and the birth of Jesus,
16:25 the most important thing about Christmas.
16:27 But also it's a time for family to come together, be together.
16:31 Your family, or your family of choice, your friends;
16:35 the people who are with you through thick and thin,
16:37 literally, you know, and I just love that.
16:41 And there's just so much that we have to be thankful for,
16:45 and grateful for, and so much going on in the world.
16:50 I know wherever you are, there's a lot going on.
16:52 If it's not in your area, times of strife,
16:56 or if it's in your family, or whatever you're going through.
17:00 I love this next song because we can make a difference.
17:04 I saw a thing the other day, and it said,
17:06 "One person said, 'What can I do,' said seven billion people."
17:10 If you think about it, one person can make a huge
17:13 difference in your little world, in the town you're in,
17:17 and it can just blossom and go out into all the world
17:21 and all the earth.
17:22 And that's what we do on 3ABN, right?
17:25 Tell the good news, the gospel of Jesus Christ,
17:27 one person at a time, and it goes all out.
17:30 And no matter what you can do, wherever you are,
17:33 let there be peace on earth, and let it begin in me.
17:39 Let there be peace on earth,
17:45 and let it begin with me.
17:53 Let there be peace on earth,
18:00 the peace that was meant to be.
18:07 With God as our Father,
18:16 brothers all are we.
18:23 Let me walk with my brother
18:30 in perfect harmony.
18:39 Let peace begin with me,
18:46 let this be the moment now.
18:54 With every step I take,
19:01 let this be my solemn vow;
19:09 to take each moment and live each moment
19:16 in peace eternally.
19:25 Let there be peace on earth,
19:33 and let it begin with me.
19:51 Amen, beautiful.
19:54 Thank you.
20:01 ~ It's that time of year again, someone said.
20:05 You know, this time of year doesn't sneak up on us.
20:08 It gets announced earlier and earlier by the merchants.
20:14 Have you noticed that?
20:15 It seems like they're so determined to just get into
20:18 that Christmas pocket.
20:19 That before Thanksgiving comes,
20:22 you already see Christmas decorations.
20:24 And we don't celebrate Halloween, but
20:26 before that's gone, Christmas decorations start showing up.
20:29 It seems to be so merchandised
20:32 that sometimes the real meaning of Christmas is overshadowed.
20:37 There are some positive things about this time of year also.
20:40 You go to the store, and for the first time hear songs like,
20:42 Joy to the World, that you don't hear anything including Jesus.
20:47 You hear the news and so many things that are humdrum,
20:50 the sirens in the great cities.
20:52 But there's something about this time of year,
20:55 Tim, that just says, "World, pause and remember.
21:00 There's a larger picture than just what people can do for us,
21:04 but what Jesus can continue to do for us."
21:08 You know, growing up in our home, Christmas was a time where
21:11 I remember my dad and I, and my sister, we would go out and
21:14 cut down, actually not cut down, but get a tree that was
21:18 already cut down and drag it home in the freezing cold of
21:22 Brooklyn, New York.
21:24 And drag it up the steps of our Brownstone,
21:27 and we'd put it together.
21:29 You know, some people might have an issue with trees,
21:30 but we don't worship trees.
21:32 It's just the decoration for the season.
21:34 But it's a memory that always comes back to me as I get older.
21:38 That it was a time of year when Papa was stabilizing the base,
21:41 and would say, "Put some water there,
21:43 make sure it doesn't dry out."
21:45 And then we would hang the different decorations.
21:48 And the whole house smells like pine.
21:51 I don't like fake trees. It's just nothing...
21:54 The whole house smells like pine.
21:55 That's on the second floor, and downstairs mom is in the kitchen
21:59 cooking up a storm.
22:00 She was from Trinidad.
22:02 Cooking up bread and coconut candies.
22:05 And our German Shepherd dog loved Christmas because
22:07 he always ended up fatter than everybody else.
22:10 And I remember the day after Christmas he couldn't even
22:12 get up because he ate so much.
22:15 But you know, now that's decades ago.
22:18 Mama's voice is silence, Papa's voice is silence,
22:22 recently lost my sister.
22:24 And when I come to this time of year, I ask myself,
22:28 how could it really be the most wonderful time of the year?
22:32 One person once said, "I could handle the difficulty and the
22:36 trials and the hardships of life, because as a Christian
22:39 I know it's just temporary."
22:42 One day there's going to be a grand celebration.
22:46 And the message of this time of the year, we'll get a chance to
22:49 witness it firsthand; seeing Jesus face to face.
22:52 We talk about the Babe born in the manger,
22:54 the Christ Child, who came and gave His life to save us.
22:58 And so, when I come to this time of the season,
23:01 after going through all the stuff, January to December,
23:05 I want to thank God for something.
23:07 I want to rejoice about something.
23:08 I want to say, I made it through, not by a great plan,
23:12 but by the grace of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
23:16 So I like to be celebratory.
23:19 I like to listen to the Christmas carols
23:22 and sing the wonderful songs.
23:24 And really for me, friends, when I think about what's coming,
23:28 and who's coming, and the day that the grand reunions
23:31 will never end, it really is to me
23:34 the most wonderful time of the year.
23:51 It's the most wonderful time of the year
23:58 with the kids jingle belling
24:00 and everyone telling you, "Be of good cheer."
24:05 It's the most wonderful time of the year.
24:12 It's the hap-happiest season of all
24:19 with those holiday greetings and family meetings,
24:23 when friends come to call.
24:26 It's the hap-happiest season of all.
24:33 There'll be parties for hosting, marshmallows for toasting,
24:37 and caroling out in the snow.
24:41 There'll be family stories and tales of the glories
24:45 of Christmases long, long ago.
24:48 It's the most wonderful time of the year.
24:55 There'll be much mistletoeing, and hearts will be glowing
24:59 when loves ones are near.
25:02 It's the most wonderful time of the year.
25:27 It's the most wonderful time of the year.
25:34 There'll be much mistletoeing, and hearts will be glowing
25:38 when loves ones are near.
25:41 It's the most wonderful time, it's the most wonderful time,
25:48 it's the most wonderful time of the year.
26:02 ~ Amen.
26:03 ~ Amen. Thank you, John.
26:05 ~ Beautiful.
26:06 ~ You know, the song you sang a while ago,
26:09 Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,
26:12 Hugh Martin was a co-writer.
26:14 And later he became a Seventh-day Adventist.
26:17 A lot of people would know him, he traveled with Del Delker
26:21 who was a well-known name back in the, I won't say
26:25 early, early years, I won't date her too long,
26:27 but back in the 60's and 70's.
26:29 And a wonderful guy.
26:31 So I think he would love the words,
26:32 because he wrote the song before he was Christian,
26:36 and later, you know, "if the Lord allows,"
26:39 not, "if fate allows."
26:41 So I love that change, and I'm sure he would too.
26:44 He's resting in Jesus right now.
26:47 But, John, you talk about it, most wonderful time of year,
26:50 but there's a lot of people
26:51 right now it's the worst time of the year
26:53 because they're lonelier than ever.
26:56 They see other people happy, and they're basically,
26:59 "What about me?"
27:00 You know, "I don't have anybody here."
27:03 So we are here to address those people.
27:07 And, Yvonne, I'm putting you on the spot,
27:09 but maybe you could talk to the camera for a minute.
27:13 There are people there saying, "You know, I'm here by myself.
27:15 I wonder if the Lord even sees me.
27:18 And other people are buying presents
27:20 and doing all kinds of thing.
27:22 But I just feel lonely."
27:23 There's people incarcerated that would
27:26 rather be with their families.
27:27 And there's people in the hospitals who would
27:30 rather be with their families.
27:31 But right now they're feeling all alone.
27:34 What would you say?
27:35 Last week some of us from 3ABN went to a women's prison.
27:40 And we got to talk to the women there.
27:44 And one of the women said to Jason, our son,
27:47 she said, "You're so blessed to have your mother with you.
27:50 Because when I was three, I saw my father murder my mother."
27:55 And when you think about the pain that's in this world,
28:00 the trauma that people experience
28:04 just on a regular basis, there has to be something
28:09 or someone that can help with that pain.
28:12 There has to be someone that can take that pain away from them,
28:16 and help them to feel loved, and help them not to feel alone.
28:22 And that person is Jesus Christ.
28:25 When we think about what He's done for us,
28:28 and who He is, and how much He loves us.
28:31 The Bible says nothing can separate us from His love.
28:35 And so, when we think about His love, and what He's done,
28:40 and not just what He did, but what He's going to do,
28:44 He's coming to take us home.
28:46 He's coming, Pastor John.
28:48 The reunion that you're going to have with your sister,
28:53 with your family, and you guys with your family, Ladye Love.
28:57 And I don't know about you, but I know I've lost my whole
29:01 immediate family.
29:03 And you know, you think about what are we going to do
29:07 in the meantime?
29:09 In the meantime, we occupy till He comes.
29:11 In the meantime, we tell others about who He is
29:15 and what He's done, and what He's doing,
29:17 and what He's going to do,
29:19 so that we can all be together forever one day.
29:23 So if you're lonely, and if you're feeling sad,
29:27 think about Jesus and that He's there for you.
29:30 He will never leave you nor forsake you.
29:32 The Word says, anyone who comes to Him
29:34 He will in no wise cast out.
29:36 He will not reject you.
29:39 You might have been rejected by your parents
29:41 here on earth, but Jesus will never reject you.
29:46 So be of good cheer and know that a better day is coming.
29:51 And in the meantime, know that you are loved
29:54 and cherished, and Jesus has a plan for your life.
30:00 John, address that for a moment about where she says
30:04 somebody may have been rejected or abandoned.
30:08 Look at your own life.
30:10 ~ Yeah, my story began as an abandonment.
30:14 You know, not knowing who my parents were.
30:16 Left at the home of a Christian lady,
30:21 who turned out to be a Seventh-day Adventist lady.
30:23 Before my door was completely shut, God opened another door.
30:28 And there are some people that may be...
30:31 I've got to talk to some of the children right now that
30:34 may be in a foster home, some of the children who are
30:38 separated from their parents, don't know their identity.
30:40 There were days where I wondered about my identity.
30:43 Who am I?
30:44 Am I going to walk down the street and
30:45 see someone that looks like me.
30:47 And can I find a face that tells me I belong?
30:53 And there were many years where that did not happen.
30:56 And the lady that raised me, when she passed away
30:58 I was only 12 years old.
31:00 And at 13 years old, Yvonne, I walked away from the Lord.
31:02 I left the church. Because I had no identity.
31:05 My anchor was gone.
31:07 And it was by God's grace that at 16 I met my wife, Angela.
31:12 Angie.
31:14 And before we were married 9 years later,
31:16 she became the young lady that brought me back to the Lord
31:19 and reminded me that I'm really not alone.
31:24 And so, you might be just adopted,
31:28 or you might be wondering, "Is someone going to adopt me
31:30 so I can be next Christmas in somebody's home?
31:35 Am I going to be able to be at a place where I can say,
31:37 'Merry Christmas,' with a family?"
31:39 Just remember, if you would just open your heart
31:45 and say, "Jesus, take away my loneliness right now,"
31:50 He will do that.
31:51 He says, "I will never leave you, I'll never forsake you."
31:55 He's near to those who have a broken heart.
31:58 And you're not alone.
31:59 You may not see the Lord, but you're not alone.
32:03 I remember a good friend of mine, wow...
32:08 It's my first Christmas without my sister.
32:13 A good friend of mine, his wife, it's been more than
32:15 a year now, his wife is in a coma.
32:18 And speaking about lonely, he said, "I got home.
32:22 My wife's cat never liked me."
32:25 He said his wife's cat never liked him.
32:27 And he got home, but he said, "I was in the house
32:29 all by myself, I could just hear my voice echoing.
32:31 I went to the room and I said, 'Lord, I need to hear from You.
32:38 I'm a pastor, I'm preaching, my wife is in a coma.
32:41 Do something.
32:42 I just need to know that You have not forgotten me.'"
32:48 And his wife's cat...
32:54 ...jumped up on the bed and sat on his lap and started purring,
32:57 rubbing her head on him.
32:59 And God works in mysterious ways.
33:02 He said that cat never liked him, but he said,
33:04 "Lord, I need to know that I'm not alone."
33:06 And that cat jumped up, got on his lap, and started purring.
33:09 And he told me that story.
33:11 He and I are on the phone, I hardly could make it through
33:13 the story as I listened to it.
33:14 So there are people that understand loneliness.
33:16 Jesus was lonely.
33:20 He said it on the cross, "Why have You forsaken Me?"
33:24 So He understands where you are.
33:27 So in this season, say, "I'm not going to accept
33:31 loneliness as my final frontier.
33:34 I'm not going to make loneliness my prison.
33:37 I'm not going to say this is the station that I'm going to
33:39 stay at for the rest of my life.
33:41 But I'm going to be patient. I'm going to wait on the Lord.
33:43 And He's going to gift me one day
33:45 with the home that I need to be in,
33:46 the parents I need to have, the friends I need to have.
33:49 But in the meantime, as Yvonne said,
33:52 just celebrate the fact that you can breathe,
33:55 you are alive, and God's plan for your life
33:58 is going to be worked out in a beautiful way.
34:00 I look at how my life worked out,
34:02 I could not have planned my abandonment
34:05 to be going from a trial to a triumph.
34:09 So I know what God did for me.
34:10 And He will do the same for you.
34:12 - God bless you. ~ Amen.
34:14 Beautiful. Great testimony.
34:17 Can I just say one more thing?
34:18 You were talking about that, John.
34:19 It's always been such a testimony to me, your life.
34:22 And to see how God as brought you so far.
34:26 And I think so many times people think
34:27 that people sitting up here have it all together
34:30 and have never had any experiences like that.
34:32 And it's so amazing for you to be able to tell the world
34:35 that you started where a lot of people are.
34:37 Maybe they're in the deepest depth of their hurt right now.
34:41 And they need to know you got through it,
34:44 and God got your through it.
34:45 And He's going to get you through it.
34:46 He's going to get you through
34:48 whatever it is you're going through.
34:49 This past weekend we were with one of my dearest friends
34:52 who is one of my spiritual mentors.
34:54 And her husband is dying, and has been;
34:58 they didn't expect him to live this long.
35:00 And this is just another little story of how God...
35:04 Sometimes, you said, sometimes it's hard to believe.
35:08 You know, it says, "I believe. Help my unbelief."
35:10 We all have those moments. I hope you know that.
35:13 Sometimes when you're in the hardest time,
35:16 you just need to know that someone cares.
35:18 And God sends a cat.
35:20 He sends something like that to remind you
35:23 that, "I am here, and I have not forsaken you."
35:26 This past weekend, my friend is one of the godliest people,
35:29 and she's been just trudging through, and getting through,
35:33 and getting through, and it's a long story,
35:36 but she thought her taxes had been paid for her business.
35:39 It said residential.
35:41 Anyway, it had not.
35:42 And someone, she found out this week had bought
35:44 her land out from under her.
35:46 Her business land, the land that her business,
35:48 which is the only way they're making money
35:50 and making it through, and getting through.
35:52 And a friend, not a close friend, but a friend in town
35:55 heard about it.
35:57 Anyway, she called person, they were able...
35:58 He said, "I will give you back this if pay the exact
36:02 amount that I paid for it."
36:03 She didn't have the money.
36:04 And a distant friend called her up and said,
36:07 "God had you on my heart today.
36:09 God told me..."
36:11 And she said, "Ladye..."
36:12 I said "You know what..." I almost said her name.
36:14 "You know what?
36:16 Sometimes we need tangible things like that
36:17 to remember that God is real."
36:19 Just in those moments we think, "God, are you real?"
36:22 Yes, He is.
36:23 He will not leave you or forsake you.
36:25 He may not send that for you,
36:26 but He'll do so many other things.
36:28 And He'll get you through the moment,
36:29 whatever it is you're going through.
36:31 He loves you.
36:33 ~ Amen. There's something about that name so special.
36:36 Jesus, Jesus, Jesus;
36:46 there's just something about that name.
36:57 Master, Savior, Jesus;
37:06 like the fragrance after the rain.
37:17 Jesus, Jesus, Jesus;
37:26 let all heaven and earth proclaim.
37:37 Kings and kingdoms will all pass away,
37:47 but there's something about that name.
37:56 Amen.
37:58 Something about that name.
38:00 Thank you.
38:03 Testimonies got to me.
38:06 What an incredible, awesome God that we serve.
38:10 I'm so thankful.
38:11 It's our hope and prayer today, we mention this often,
38:15 but if you're not a Christian, that you give Jesus your life,
38:19 turn it over and say, "Lord, I'm a sinner.
38:21 Please save me."
38:23 And you'll be able to go and tell what He's done for you.
38:27 I promise you, He says in Psalm 119:165,
38:31 "Great peace have they which love Thy law,
38:33 and nothing shall offend them."
38:35 Nothing shall get you down.
38:38 So Jesus will give us that peace today.
38:41 Well, Tim, I think maybe we can get you,
38:44 we've got a little time left, you, Larry, and Kris,
38:46 you got something for us?
38:47 Well we do have a special song to play.
38:50 In fact, it has to do something about with, what child is this?
38:53 We have a special guest that's been waiting out in the cold.
38:56 ~ Let's bring this child on in.
39:00 I think this is a precious gift.
39:01 I see a little crib, a little stroller.
39:06 I just wanted to come wish everyone a merry Christmas.
39:10 Look at this.
39:12 ~ Baby Brook.
39:13 Papa's girl.
39:15 That's a papa's girl.
39:17 I brainwash my grandkids and great-grandkids.
39:20 Start them when they're really young.
39:23 Isn't that beautiful.
39:25 What a gift from God. Amazing.
39:28 Then we've got another, little Blair; Trinity's.
39:30 So we've got two babies at the same time.
39:32 Two grandbabies.
39:34 Grandma, you happy about this?
39:35 Oh, you know I'm over the moon.
39:37 I am just over the moon.
39:40 ~ I think it's because she looks like you.
39:42 ~ You think so? ~ Yeah.
39:43 ~ She's beautiful. ~ Oh, she's a doll.
39:46 What a beauty. What a gift from God.
39:49 So that you, Jason, for stopping in.
39:51 How does it feel to be a daddy?
39:52 You're welcome. It feels absolutely incredible.
39:54 I've got to say, we were hoping you all had some food out here.
39:58 But you know, it is Christmas,
40:00 so we were hoping for a nice meal.
40:03 We'll take her to go get something to eat.
40:05 ~ Alright.
40:06 Thanks for stopping by. A little beauty.
40:10 What a little doll.
40:11 See you guys.
40:13 ~ Her name is Brook, sweet name.
40:16 And meanwhile, while you're leaving...
40:17 Thanks. It's good to see you, Jason.
40:20 ...we're going to play, Kris, Larry, and myself,
40:24 whatever my name is, we're going to play,
40:27 Joy To the World.
40:32 ~ Music ~
42:20 ~ Amen. ~ I love it.
42:23 Thank you, thank you.
42:24 Big Gene, what do you got for us?
42:28 Well, every time I come here, Tim wants to give me a song
42:33 that I have no idea about it.
42:36 ~ That's because he knows you can do it.
42:39 I think he's just trying got see if I still know how to read.
42:41 I don't know.
42:43 But I'm honored that he asks every time.
42:48 You know, it's a gift that God allowed me to have.
42:53 And so, I'm just honored to be able to do it.
43:01 Let's see what we can do.
43:12 O sing a song of Bethlehem,
43:18 of shepherds watching there;
43:23 and of the news that came to them
43:29 from angels in the air.
43:35 The light that shone on Bethlehem
43:41 fills all the world today;
43:46 of Jesus' birth and peace on earth
43:53 the angels sing always.
44:02 O sing a song of Nazareth,
44:08 of sunny days of joy;
44:14 O sing of fragrant flower's breath
44:20 and of the sinless Boy.
44:26 For now the flowers of Nazareth
44:33 in every heart may grow;
44:39 now spreads the fame of His dear name
44:45 on all the winds that blow.
44:58 O sing a song of Calvary,
45:04 its glory and dismay,
45:10 of Him who hung upon the tree
45:16 and took our sins away.
45:22 For He who died on Calvary
45:29 is risen from the grave.
45:34 And Christ our Lord, by heaven adored,
45:41 is mighty now to save.
45:52 ~ Amen.
45:54 Wow, I sure couldn't tell that he didn't know it.
45:56 I know, right?
45:58 Well, it's amazing that God has allowed us to be here
46:04 to tell you that you're loved.
46:09 And if you're the only one in your family,
46:14 you're loved.
46:16 If you have eight brothers and sisters, like my wife has,
46:21 you're loved.
46:25 God sent His Son to love you.
46:30 This song means so much to me.
46:34 As a Christian in this season, this time of year,
46:39 all we have sometimes is the love of God.
46:44 And sometimes all we have is knowing that He sent His Son
46:49 to love us more than anybody else in the world.
46:55 What Child is this who laid to rest
47:05 on Mary's lap is sleeping,
47:14 whom angels greet with anthems sweet
47:23 while shepherds watch are keeping?
47:33 This, this is Christ the King
47:40 whom shepherds guard and angels sing.
47:49 Haste, haste to bring Him laud,
47:57 the Babe, the Son of Mary.
48:10 So bring Him incense, gold, and myrrh;
48:18 come peasant, king to own Him.
48:25 The King of kings salvation brings,
48:33 let loving hearts enthrone Him.
48:42 This, this is Christ the King
48:49 whom shepherds guard and angels sing.
48:57 Haste, haste to bring Him laud,
49:05 the Babe, the Son of Mary.
49:19 ~ Amen. Beautiful.
49:22 ~ Tim.
49:27 ~ Music ~
49:52 Holy, holy, holy, Lord,
49:59 God of power and might,
50:05 heaven and earth are filled with Your glory.
50:17 Holy, holy, holy, Lord,
50:23 God of power and might,
50:29 heaven and earth are filled with Your glory.
50:40 Hosanna, hosanna
50:51 in the highest.
51:13 Holy, holy, holy, Lord,
51:19 God of power and might,
51:25 heaven and earth are filled with Your glory.
51:35 Hosanna, hosanna
51:47 in the highest.
51:57 Hosanna, hosanna
52:10 in the highest.
52:28 ~ Amen. Thank you.
52:31 I think we're going to try a song, we may have time.
52:35 We've done it a couple of times with Ladye Love:
52:39 I'll be Home for Christmas.
52:41 So I'm going to go over and try to get the guitar.
52:44 I won't have a mic, which will be a good thing,
52:45 for some people when they don't have a mic.
52:47 But I don't know how this will turn out,
52:49 but I sure am privileged to be...
52:52 So I think Larry and me, we're going to have to...
52:54 Larry, you're going to play the bass over here for that.
52:56 You come and play it, and I'll come over and grab the guitar.
52:59 And then Ladye Love is going to sing it.
53:02 And Yvonne, we'll turn it over to you
53:03 while we make our switches.
53:06 You know, one thing I love about that song
53:08 you just did, Tim, is that it's just so...
53:13 Hosanna means, saved. Right?
53:17 So it's calling on Jesus to save us.
53:21 And that is so beautiful.
53:23 Not to mention the fact, Tim, I have to say,
53:25 you singing, like, you play, it's like you're playing
53:30 all of these fields.
53:31 Most of the time when people play for themselves,
53:33 they play block chords.
53:35 You play as though when you're singing, it's like
53:38 it's two different people.
53:40 One person is play, one person is singing.
53:42 It's just, it's amazing. So praise the Lord.
53:45 We're so thankful for the gifts that God has given you.
53:50 And we can't wait to hear our Ladye Love now sing this song.
53:54 And my, of course, my Honey playing the guitar.
53:57 ~ Let's see if it's good. - Okay.
54:11 I'll be home for Christmas,
54:23 you can count on me.
54:35 Please have snow and mistletoe,
54:44 and presents under the tree.
54:57 Christmas eve will find me
55:08 where the love light gleams.
55:19 I'll be home for Christmas
55:30 if only in my dreams.
56:00 I'll be home for Christmas
56:11 if only in my dreams.
56:23 If only in my dreams.
56:55 ~ Yes.
57:02 ~ We love that song. Thank you so much.
57:04 It was so beautiful.
57:07 Babe did a great job.
57:11 That's the best I can do for being an amateur.
57:14 We've got about 27 seconds, so let's tell the folks
57:17 goodbye, and wish them a very, very merry Christmas.
57:21 Thank you for joining us, as you do each and every day.
57:24 And it's been such a blessing to share this time with you.
57:27 And I want to thank each of our friends that have come here
57:30 from a number of miles to share this happy time together.
57:35 So we want you to know that our time is all gone.
57:37 Until we see you next time, may the Lord richly
57:39 bless you, abundantly more than you could ever ask or think.
57:43 Oh come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
