That's right. 04:07 You can post a question and we 04:08 will try and answer it for you. 04:09 We have had some very interesting questions 04:12 that I have never heard before, 04:13 but we don't have time for them all. That's right. 04:15 Well, let's get right to it. Our first question is a 04:17 video question this evening. My name is Leighton, 04:20 and I'm nine. And my question is, how long will 04:23 it take to get to heaven? How long will it take to 04:26 get to heaven? I think what Leighton means is 04:28 once we begin the journey from earth, 04:31 how long will it be? Well, some Bible scholars 04:33 believe it's gonna be about seven days because 04:36 there is a statement in Revelation that tells us 04:39 there is silence in heaven about the space of 04:42 half an hour. And if a day in prophecy is an year 04:47 then about half an hour well one hour fifteen 04:50 days about half an hour is seven days. 04:53 And so many believe that after the Lord 04:56 rescues us from this earth that we make our 04:59 way back to that city of gold, we're talking 05:01 about tonight. And we are gonna get there 05:03 just in time to celebrate our first Sabbath day 05:06 there with Jesus in the kingdom, won't that be 05:08 wonderful? Amen. We had a study guide on that 05:11 called Journey Through the Stars. That's right. 05:13 It'll be the most exciting seven days. 05:15 Alright, Pastor Doug here's the next question. 05:17 Will the blind people be able to see Jesus when he 05:20 comes? Well, it's a good question. And I believe 05:24 that when the Lord comes that even the death 05:28 will hear that trumpet sound, the blind will be able 05:32 to see it. I think that everybody is gonna be 05:34 aware when Jesus comes. And you know, 05:37 sometimes I get questions like what about the 05:39 people that are at the space station, what will 05:42 they see when Jesus comes? You know, 05:44 the International Space Station or what if there, 05:47 what if they're in a space shuttle? And I don't 05:49 have all those answers, but some very interesting 05:52 questions that the young people have been asking. 05:54 Alright, our next question is a video question. 05:57 Hi, my name is Desiree, I'm ten. I'm ask, 06:01 my question is, why is God taking so long to come 06:05 and get us to go to heaven? Alright, 06:08 that's a good question because. Well think about it. 06:12 Jesus said that he is coming soon. Now, compared 06:17 to eternity, if you live billions and zillions of 06:21 years. How long is through 1000 years. 06:26 That's just nothing. And see when God said in the 06:30 beginning to Adam that one of his descendants 06:33 would come and he would die for the sins of the 06:35 world, that God would come to earth. 06:38 Well, it was 4000 years till Jesus came the first 06:40 time, but he did come, didn't he? Jesus said, 06:43 I'm coming again and I think that we're right about 06:47 the time now. I think this is the generation that's 06:50 gonna see Jesus come. A lot of things are 06:52 happening. Now, it may seem like a long time, 06:55 but if you live like angels, unfallen angels that live 06:57 forever and ever and ever. They look down here 06:59 on earth, they think boy this has been fast, 07:02 but for us. How many if you have ever been 07:04 driving with your parents in the car and you 07:06 keep saying, are we there yet? Are we there yet? 07:11 It's only been one hour and you're going, 07:12 are we ever going to get there. And it's not that 07:15 long. And I remember when I was seven-years-old, 07:18 thinking I will never live to be ten, it's forever, 07:23 when Jesus comes most people are gonna think 07:26 it was too soon. Pastor Doug here is the next 07:30 question somebody sent in. How can I will be a 07:32 good witness to my friends? Oh! That is a very 07:37 important question, don't you all want to let your 07:38 light shine, be a good witness and win other 07:42 people to Jesus? The only thing going to heaven 07:46 is people, you can't take your video games, 07:49 you can't take your favorite DVD or CD. 07:53 You can't take money, the only thing going to 07:56 heaven is people whose hearts are changed, 07:58 so the most valuable work you can do is reaching 08:02 hearts of people. You know what you do? 08:05 Follow Jesus and be a good example, 08:08 study your Bible and your lessons about the Bible, 08:11 so that you understand the truth. So, when your 08:13 friends ask you questions, you can help answer 08:16 their questions. I'm hoping that you have more 08:18 answers now having come to the Amazing Adventure 08:21 Program. So, you can share your faith. 08:23 And pray for your friends that the Holy Spirit will 08:26 touch their hearts and win their souls. 08:30 Pastor Doug, we have another video question that 08:32 we like to play at this time. Hi, my name is Justin. 08:36 I'm 12-years-old, and my question is, 08:38 why did Lucifer's name get changed to Satan? 08:42 Why did Lucifer's name get changed to Satan? 08:46 Well, you know, sometimes a person's name 08:47 is changed in the Bible because their behavior 08:50 changes. Jacob his name meant trickster or 08:54 deceiver. And when he was totally converted and 08:58 he was had a new heart, he wrestled with that 09:00 angel. God gave him a new name Israel or Israel, 09:04 which means over comer. Jesus gave different 09:08 names to the Apostles. And so the new names 09:10 represent a change of character. Well, Lucifer went 09:13 from being a good angel light bearer to Satan, 09:16 which means advisory. And he's got a bunch of 09:20 other names in the Bible like Beelzebub, 09:22 the Lord of flies. And he is the deceiver, the devil, 09:28 the serpent 'cause he's cold blooded. 09:31 And so that's why his name got changed because 09:33 his behavior changed. Well, Pastor Doug doesn't 09:36 it say something in the Bible that not only, 09:37 well of course Lucifer's name got changed, 09:40 but what about us, will we get a new name when 09:41 we get to heaven? Jesus says in heaven two 09:44 places in Revelation that we get new names. 09:48 And how many of you want a new name? 09:50 You don't like your name? Do you know, 09:54 and we are gonna have to, okay, we are gonna 09:56 have to talk to your parents about that okay. 09:59 Now, you don't have it bad, now listen my last name 10:02 is Batchelor, I'm a married Batchelor, 10:05 I have been teased all my life about that. 10:08 My brother's name was Falcon, that's a bird 10:11 Batchelor. And people used to call him turkey and 10:14 all kinds of things. And so, some people have really 10:17 tough names, but you said, you know a man whose 10:20 name was Sharon. I did, yes. Probably get 10:22 teased a little bit. I'm sure he did. 10:24 Anyway you will get a new name. 10:26 So, maybe you and the Lord can pray about 10:28 what that will be? Alright, we got our last 10:30 video question in for this series. 10:33 Hello, my name is Bobo, I'm eight-years-old and 10:37 my question is why did God created angels first 10:41 instead of creating them at the same time as people? 10:45 That's a good question. Why did he make the 10:47 angels first, why not make all of us at the same 10:50 time, couldn't God have done that? Yes. 10:53 Well, you know, if you are going to build a hospital 10:56 and if that hospital is gonna take care of people. 10:59 First you have to have the doctors and nurses, 11:01 right. If you are going to make a restaurant and 11:04 you want a chef, and you want waiters to 11:07 serve the tables, you got to make them before you 11:09 make the customers. The Bible says, that the 11:11 angels are the ministering spirits of God and 11:14 that's in Hebrews chapter 1:14. And so they are 11:18 ministering spirits that serve the Lord. 11:19 So, God made the angels long time ago, and they 11:23 serve him all through the cosmos of the universe. 11:26 Well, thank you very much. Amen, that's what we are doing. 14:27 The reason for this Amazing Adventures 14:29 because we are on a journey friends, amen. 14:31 Everybody is on the road, and this is the most 14:34 important journey, most important adventure in 14:36 the world. I want to welcome again all of our 14:39 friends that are here at the Richardson Church 14:41 in Texas. And our friends that are watching from 14:43 so many places around the world. Many of you 14:46 sent us pictures of your sites and we just, 14:49 we could spend the whole night to showing all 14:51 of the people who are studying the Bible with us. 14:54 And I wanna thank each of you for coming; 14:56 I want to thank those who have been helping 14:59 produce the program. This has been a real joy 15:02 and a privilege for me, it's been a dream come 15:04 true because I think it's so important that while 15:07 you're young, you make up your mind to give 15:10 your strengthen, your best to the Lord. 15:13 You know, the most amazing adventure is when 15:16 you find treasure. And that's what our lesson 15:19 is about; it's a real treasure hunt. 15:22 We are talking about "A Kingdom of Gold." 15:25 Tonight in our study and have you ever looked 15:28 for treasure before? Yeah, you know, some of 15:32 the Spanish Conquistadors. They used to go 15:35 looking for treasure in South America; 15:38 they had heard rumors that there was a city of 15:40 gold called El Dorado. And part of the reason for 15:44 that is people like Francisco Pizarro. 15:48 He had kidnapped the Inca King Atahualpa. 15:52 And said that he would not let him free until 15:55 his people had filled the room that was 22 feet by 15:59 18 feet by 7 feet with gold. And other rooms with 16:04 silver. He didn't think they do it, but he wanted 16:06 them to try. They did it, and that was one reason 16:11 so many of these Spanish conquistadors thought 16:13 somewhere out there is this city of gold. 16:17 And many have them died, trying to find it. 16:20 I remember reading about Howard Carter, 16:22 the famous Egyptologist. Who looked for years 16:26 for the mummy of, well he didn't look for the 16:29 mummy. He was looking for the tomb of King Tut. 16:32 And after years of searching, they finally 16:35 stood before the door and a seal that had not 16:37 been broken and 3,500 years and they cut 16:41 the seal, punched a whole in this door, 16:44 they put a light in there and people over 16:47 shoulders, can you see anything? And as his 16:49 eyes got adjusted he said, Oh! Everywhere he 16:52 saw the glint of gold. Wonderful things, 16:57 he had found one of the most splendid treasures 17:00 in the last 1000 years, the tomb of King Tut, 17:03 and he was one of the poor Kings. 17:05 I have been there to Cairo, Egypt and seen it. 17:07 Gold everywhere, and you know some people sell 17:10 their souls for gold in this world. It is an 17:13 interesting metal, it is very precious. 17:16 Did you know that you can take one ounce 17:17 of gold and you can hammer it till it's five 17:22 millions of an inch thick, it's not very much. 17:27 One ounce of gold can be hammered so thin; 17:29 it can cover a tennis court. Gold is a very 17:33 malleable and a very durable substance, 17:37 very precious, but God tells us that there is 17:40 something much more precious than gold or 17:42 rubies that truth. And you are much more 17:45 precious because the one who makes gold paid 17:49 for you, that's Jesus, right. We are gonna get 17:52 into our lesson; we got a lot to talk about heaven 17:54 tonight. And I may not even get through all the 17:57 questions, but we are gonna have fun talking 17:59 about that kingdom of gold. Number one, 18:01 what is God's kingdom really like? Is it really 18:04 a golden city? Now, you could spend the rest 18:07 of your life going around this world looking for 18:10 golden treasure. And most people just find misery, 18:13 but the really is a golden kingdom that God has, 18:16 you can read about it in the Bible. It says, 18:19 in Hebrews chapter 11 verse 16, 18:22 "God is not ashamed to be called their God, 18:24 for He has prepared for them a city, 18:27 whole city of gold." And again in Revelation 21 18:31 verse 18 and 21, it tells us, "The walls of this 18:36 New Jerusalem were jasper; and the city was, 18:39 what is it say there? Pure, pure gold, 18:42 not just gold, pure gold like clear glass." 18:45 This beautiful city of gold is real and God wants 18:49 you to dwell in that city, you can go there and 18:51 that's what this amazing adventure is about. 18:54 We'll talk about the greatest treasure in that city. 18:56 "The street of the city was pure gold, 18:58 like transparent glass. And there were twelve 19:00 gates, and these gates of the city were each one 19:05 a pearl." Now, can you imagine where do pearls 19:07 come from? Oysters, and so you'd need a pretty 19:12 big oysters to get a pearl, big enough to a make 19:15 whole gate, don't you think? Yeah. But God 19:17 can make that. And some people think that's a 19:19 fairy tale, it can't be true. You know, 19:21 pearls are very precious, real pearls. 19:24 I heard about a man a few years ago. 19:28 Alan Golash in Rhode Island, digging through 19:33 a basket of antique jewelry spotted something 19:36 that he thought it was pretty precious paid 19:38 $14 for it. Took it home, they cleaned it up and 19:42 they found out and they had found this beautiful, 19:45 these Venus pearls, they're like a purple pearl 19:48 these called a Quahog, very rare with gold and 19:51 diamonds and someone thought that it was all 19:52 artificial, it was real. He paid $14, they found 19:56 out that it's worth millions because they are 19:59 these precious rare purple colored pearls, 20:02 there you have it right there on your screen. 20:05 You know, Jesus tells a parable about a merchant 20:07 who found a pearl of great price. 20:09 He sells everything he has to get that pearl, 20:13 Oh! It would be nice to get one for $14, 20:16 but if you found something that was the most 20:18 valuable treasure, what would you give for it? 20:23 Would you give your heart for Jesus? 20:26 He is the greatest treasure of all. 20:28 You might think, well Pastor Doug, 20:30 but how could that really be a city with gold and 20:32 streets and pearls that big. Do you know, 20:35 just this last year, scientists from the 20:39 Harvard-Smithsonian Astrophysics University. 20:43 They said that in the southern sky in the 20:47 Constellations Interiors, they found a white dwarf 20:52 star that it, it's a collapsed sun. And they said, 20:55 they believe the core of that sun is one diamond. 21:00 One solid diamond that weighs trillions and trillions 21:04 of tons. And so scientists even believe that 21:07 there is diamonds out there as big as our moon. 21:10 So, why don't we believe the Bible, when God says, 21:11 that he can have a gate made of one pearl, 21:14 of course he can. Amen. And of course the Lord can 21:17 have a city of gold. All things are possible with God 21:20 and that's what the Bible says. The things that 21:23 God has prepared for you in First Corinthians, 21:26 you can't even imagine how spectacular it's gonna be. 21:29 Number two, what will happen to all of the sin and 21:33 evil that's on the earth? Now, we are gonna 21:35 explain this a little bit. You remember when Jesus 21:38 comes, we read there in Second Peter chapter 3, 21:41 "The heavens will pass away with a great noise, 21:44 and the elements will melt with a ferment heat; 21:48 the earth also and the woods that are in it will be 21:51 burned up." Then the Lord catches up the save, 21:55 the dead and Christ rise those of us who alive get 21:57 glorified bodies. And we begin this journey through 22:01 the stars back to the kingdom that God has 22:04 prepared, those mansions that he has prepared, 22:06 right. Are we gonna need to have a space suit 22:09 to make that trip? Yeah. No, maybe you think that 22:12 Jesus is coming in a flying saucer. Are we gonna 22:15 need a spaceship like the enterprise or something 22:18 to make that journey? No. I don't know how the 22:21 Lord is gonna do it, but I believe that he is gonna 22:22 enable us to fly through the stars maybe there will 22:25 be some force field around us that allows us to 22:28 breathe. I don't know, but I think we are gonna 22:29 be able to fly right through the stars, 22:32 back to the city of God. Now, when we get there, 22:35 the Bible tells us that we get like you know, 22:38 the plan of salvation has been going on just about 22:40 6,000 years here on earth. And Revelation 20 says, 22:43 we spend a 1000 years living and reigning with the 22:46 Lord in the Kingdom. A 1000 years in heaven 22:49 resting with Jesus from this problem of sin, 22:53 but at the end of that 1000 years. 22:54 God is then going to transport that city you know; 22:58 we got a space station right now. Shouldn't be a 23:00 problem that God can make a space city? 23:03 That space city is gonna go through space and 23:05 it's gonna come back down to this earth at the end 23:08 of the 1000 years. When the city comes down, 23:13 the Lord is gonna call all the wicked who ever 23:15 lived will come forth from their graves. 23:18 That's the time and after the New Jerusalem 23:20 touches down, there is the great judgment. 23:24 The wicked are all judged, Satan is there, 23:29 Satan tries to get all of the wicked to attack the 23:30 city of God. And the Bible says, God rains fire 23:32 down out of heaven upon the wicked, 23:34 it forms a lake of fire, everyone is punished 23:36 according to what they deserve, but it's not 23:40 gonna hurt those that are in the city. 23:42 You can read in Malachi chapter 4 verse 1. 23:45 "All who do wickedly will be stubble. 23:48 The day that's coming will burn them up." 23:50 Well, how come it's gonna hurt us who are in the 23:52 see of God. When all around the world there is 23:55 this lake of fire? Well, God builds his city pretty 23:59 strong, it says the walls of the New Jerusalem are 24:01 a 144 cubits. I think that means a 144 cubits 24:06 thick, but you don't have to worry. 24:08 Alright, I'm gonna do an illustration here. 24:10 I need a couple of boys for this one. 24:12 I will use a girl, put your hands down, 24:14 if I picked you before. Okay, just want to be 24:16 fair to everybody. Young man, I, you two right 24:18 there, you two of you, yeah. You, since you're 24:21 sitting together maybe, alright. Look in the chest, 24:24 one of you look in the chest see if you can 24:25 find the lighter there, okay. And we're gonna 24:31 do a little experiment and you all pray for me. 24:35 Yep, yeah okay. You got a lighter? 24:39 Yes, see it, go, grab it, grab the lighter. 24:42 No, no, no, no, not the light, lighter right there, 24:45 the orange thing, you aren't saying there 24:46 you go. Okay, now what's your name? 24:50 Tadashi, and you're? Mikey, Mikey alright I, 24:55 I get that, you just get to grab it. 24:58 Now, this is heavy, okay. Okay, you got to hold 25:03 this like that, don't drop it, can you hold it? 25:09 Don't drop it, it's gonna ruin everything, 25:13 alright you hold yours the same way. 25:16 Hold your balloon. Okay, is that getting heavy? 25:20 Alright, hold your balloon up there, 25:21 wonder what's gonna happen? Alright, 25:24 let see here. Don't, don't move, don't move, 25:30 hey brother we're counting on you, 25:31 don't go anywhere, alright, don't move, 25:37 don't move. What's going on here, 25:42 do you feel the heat from that? A little, 25:44 but it's not popping the balloon, why not? 25:47 Now, I'm gonna take that you, before I push 25:48 my luck. Thank you, very much gentlemen. 25:52 Now, let me tell you where it gets off? 25:56 You can go down now, thank you very much. 26:01 Two balloons both red balloons. 26:04 Put a match under both balloons, one blew up, 26:06 one didn't, why? One you all know, of course, 26:10 yeah everyone you knows what a water 26:12 balloon is. It had something special inside that 26:16 made it indestructible to the fire, if you got 26:20 Jesus the living water inside of you, 26:23 you don't have to be afraid of what's going on 26:24 out there do. It won't hurt you, so don't worry 26:28 about that, you just make sure you got Jesus 26:29 and God's Spirit in you. Question number three, 26:32 what does God promise to do then? 26:35 After all the wicked are destroyed, 26:38 we then get to watch Jesus make a new 26:41 heavens and a new earth. It says, there in 26:44 Second Peter 3, "According to His promise, 26:47 we look for a new heavens and a new earth, 26:50 wherein dwells righteousness." That city 26:52 is gonna be pure because the first heaven 26:55 and the first earth has all passed away. 26:57 And the word heaven there means the atmosphere 26:59 around the earth, it's gonna be fresh new 27:01 atmosphere, a new world and you'll get to 27:04 watch the Lord make it all. Number four, 27:08 will this golden city be up there in heaven in the 27:11 sky or is it gonna be back here on earth? 27:16 The Bible says, remember the words of Jesus, 27:17 Matthew 5:5, "Blessed are the meek, 27:20 they will inherit the sky." Earth, earth. 27:24 The earth, so ultimately God's plan was for 27:27 Adam and Eve to live here on this beautiful planet. 27:30 The devil messed things up. Do you think that 27:33 God is going to let the devil permanently mess up 27:35 his plans? God's plan was for people to live on a 27:39 beautiful paradise here on earth. He's gonna 27:42 recreate it and God's gonna do what he 27:44 originally planned to do, except it's gonna be 27:46 even better. God's gonna make everything 27:49 even better than this original plan. 27:52 Bible tells us, Revelation 21:2, I John the 27:56 Apostle said, "I saw the Holy city, the New 28:00 Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God." 28:04 There is a lot of misconceptions out there 28:06 about what heavens gonna be like? 28:08 I remember growing up, I went to all these churches 28:10 where they showed these pictures of fat 28:12 little naked babies that were on clouds 28:13 playing harps and, and I thought you're good, 28:16 you go to heaven. And you play harp on a 28:18 cloud and I thought that didn't sound very 28:21 interesting, that's not what it's gonna be like? 28:24 Heaven is very real and you are gonna be 28:26 doing real things. Are what kind of bodies will 28:28 we have? Real bodies, when Jesus rose from the dead, 28:32 he told the disciples touch me; feel me, 28:35 I'm not a ghost. Then he ate in from of them. 28:38 So, they could see that he was real. 28:40 You are gonna be doing real things in a real 28:42 world and it's gonna be so spectacular and 28:44 incredible and marvelous and astounding and 28:47 amazing that I can't even explain it, 28:50 but I'm gonna try. Number 5, what is the 28:53 most wonderful thing about God's kingdom? 28:57 Oh! Here is where the real treasure is, 29:00 I heard a loud voice from the heaven saying, 29:03 Behold the tabernacle of God, that's means a 29:07 dwelling palace of God is with men, 29:11 and He will dwell with them, and they shall be 29:15 His people. And God himself will be with them 29:19 and be their God. Who is gonna be in the middle 29:22 of the city with us? God, God. Think about 29:25 how big the universe is? What's the capital 29:32 of Texas? Austin, Austin very good, 29:34 who knows the capital of California? Sacramento, 29:35 Sacramento that's where we live. 29:37 What's the capital of the United States? 29:39 Washington, DC. Washington, DC, what is the 29:41 capital of the universe? New York. Just in case 29:49 you didn't catch that friends, some young man 29:51 said New York City, but no, not, not New York is 29:58 not the capital of nothing, Albany is the capital 30:00 of New York, but the capital of the universe is 30:04 heaven. It's where the president of the 30:07 universe lives, that's God. Think about what 30:10 the Lord is gonna do? God is going to move the 30:14 capital of the universe to our world. 30:18 And we're going to live and reign with him. 30:21 And listen to this verse, Revelation 22 verse 3, 30:24 I love this picture. "The throne of God and the 30:27 Lamb will be in it, and they shall see His face." 30:32 Remember we heard Moses couldn't even 30:34 look on the face of God, but when we get our 30:37 glorified bodies, we will be able to look at the 30:40 face of God. What could be more precious, 30:44 what toy at the store, what game, what fun 30:50 amusement park could be more precious 30:51 than being in the presence of the one who 30:54 made the universe. That ought to make your 30:56 heart beat a little bit faster, and you know what 30:59 else, you will have a special powers then too. 31:03 You read in Isaiah chapter 40 verse 31, 31:06 "But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew 31:09 their strength; they shall mount up with wings 31:12 like eagles." Have you ever sung that song, 31:16 Rock of Ages? We will sore to world's unknown. 31:21 You will be able to fly, won't that be and you 31:24 won't need a 747 to do it. That's one of the 31:27 things that really excites me about heaven to be 31:30 able to fly to other worlds. And be an ambassador 31:34 for God, it's real. Okay, I need to illustrate 31:39 something here. Who, if you had a chance, 31:42 yes put your, put your hands down, 31:43 if you already had a chance. You haven't had 31:45 a chance, young well, alright come on up here 31:47 for a second, have you had a chance, yeah, 31:50 no, yes. Had you been up here no, 31:52 alright come on up, done. Look in there; 31:54 see if you can find, what's your name? 31:58 Roxana, Roxana, see if you can find some worms 32:00 in that chest here. I want to tell you all the 32:10 story, okay. Hey, come on over here with your 32:18 worms here. Once upon a time, there was a fox 32:24 and he wanted to eat this bird, 32:27 but the bird was too fast for him. And one day, 32:30 when the bird was out picking around looking for 32:32 worms, the fox said, I know the best place in 32:35 the world to find the fattest worms. 32:37 He said, I'll make you a deal. He said, 32:39 that if you give me one of your feathers, 32:41 they're beautiful feathers, you got the most 32:43 beautiful feathers, if I could have one of the them 32:44 I think that be great. So, I will give you a fat 32:47 worm. And the bird thought I got lots of 32:50 feathers and they are kind of beautiful. 32:52 He said, alright I'll give you one feather, so I, 32:55 you go and take one feather out, give it to the 32:58 fox, now give me a worm, one worm. 33:03 He, he would wait the fox had to put the worm 33:04 down because he don't wanna get too close. 33:07 As so then that the bird would Oh! And he 33:09 swallowed, I'm not gonna do that. 33:12 And then he said, boy that was really good. 33:14 And next day he is hopping around picking fox 33:16 you know that feather that looks good in my 33:17 house. So, I sure wish I could have another one, 33:20 I got a really big worn. And then he said, 33:22 yeah I got lots of feathers here and so, 33:25 so yeah you can take one more. 33:28 And he said, another worm and you can take 33:30 two it's, okay give me two worms, 33:32 lets just be fair. Alright, and so then he ate 33:39 his, his gummy worms. And this happened all 33:44 summer long. And he kept trading worms, 33:47 give me a handful of worms. Watch those 33:50 feathers they're dangerous. Okay, and you 33:56 go ahead and you take, you take, take, 34:00 take a few more feathers, just leave me at 34:02 least one, leave me at least one feather. 34:10 There you go, well thank you very much, 34:15 thank you very much. And now you know, 34:17 what happen finally had God called and it was time 34:20 for that bird to fly self with the rest of the 34:22 family, but he hadn't noticed, one feather 34:25 at a time, he had been losing his wings and whenever 34:30 flew away pretty soon the fox came out and the 34:33 bird try to run from the fox. And the fox got 34:36 him because he couldn't fly anymore. 34:39 He traded his wings for worms, 34:43 and you know, the devil does that with kids 34:44 all the time. You know, what these worms are, 34:51 these are the temptations and the sins that 34:52 he says, we are gonna bring us so 34:53 much happiness and we trade our, 34:56 our glorified abilities that God gives us, 34:59 and our gifts and tell you what, you can, 35:02 you can take those feathers there 35:03 and let me see here. Share a couple with him, 35:11 that's all I got. And just don't play with them 35:15 during the program. You understand the point of 35:17 that; the devil is trying to take the kingdom 35:21 of heaven from you one worm at a time. 35:23 You could be able to fly there mount up with 35:26 wings like eagles. Number six, what other wonderful 35:29 things does God have planned for us in 35:31 his new Kingdom? The Bible says in 35:34 Revelation chapter 21 verse 1. 35:37 "It is a new heaven and a new earth. 35:39 And there is no more sea." There is no more briny 35:43 soft water; it's all fresh water that will be 35:46 separating people. "The desert will blossom 35:49 as the rose." There is no more cursing the land; 35:53 alright I can use a girl now. Let me see here, 35:57 if you haven't had a chance yet. Chance, you haven't 36:00 had a chance, okay. I see, some back here that okay, 36:05 you can come. Now, I couldn't put this in 36:11 the box, I'm sorry because I'm afraid that with the 36:14 light and everything they wilt, alright are those 36:16 pretty roses. Yeah. They look like real roses? 36:19 Yeah. They smell like real roses? Yeah. Yeah, 36:24 is there something unusual about those roses? 36:30 This. Well, I know that's not normally how you 36:32 give roses away, but keep looking, 36:39 what's the normal problem you got with roses? 36:42 The thorns. These roses have no thorns on that; 36:45 you hold that bottle real tight, 36:46 let me see if I can get one of those out here. 36:48 These are real roses, oh I don't wanna hurt it. 36:55 Look at that, they have no thorns on them. 36:57 Why are there thorns on most roses? 36:59 Because of sin, will there will be thorns on the 37:03 roses in heaven? No. No, everything is gonna 37:07 be beautiful there. You go to the most deserted 37:11 place in heaven, it's gonna look like a rose garden, 37:13 it'll be beautiful, and there is no thorns 37:15 and the mosquitoes are gonna be cute in heaven 37:18 and they won't bite, they are just eating 37:20 nectar like butterflies. Oh! I tell you what? 37:22 You get this one if you take the other two over to 37:24 Mrs. Batchelor, okay. You got to get all the mileage 37:29 out of flowers whenever you can if you're married. 37:33 Let's keep going here, you know, if you bring 37:38 a pretty girl up and give her a rose; 37:40 you better give two to your wife, 37:41 just in case you didn't know that. 37:42 A little tip for you kids, don't get your wedding 37:47 advice from pastor Batchelor. Alright, 37:51 Revelation 22, "In the middle of its street, 37:54 and on either side of the river, there is something 37:56 very special that use to be in the Garden of Eden." 37:59 God protected it, "It's the tree of life, 38:03 which bore twelve different kinds of fruit, 38:07 yielding its fruit every month." Let me see, 38:09 who is good at math? Twelve kinds of fruit, 38:12 twelve times a years, how much? Twenty four, 38:16 twenty four. A 144 different kinds of fruit 38:19 on one tree. Do you want to hear some? 38:23 Any of you ever been to Baskin Robbins? 38:26 Baskin Robbins has a number, 38:28 what's that number? Thirty one, twenty one, 38:31 you know how I know that? I worked at 38:34 Baskin Robbins when I was 14. 38:36 That sounds like a fun job, doesn't it? 38:39 Yeah, and the man who ran the place he told me, 38:42 he said you can eat all the ice cream you want. 38:45 They have to have 31 flavors of ice cream 38:49 at all times, but Baskin Robbins actually has 38:52 hundreds of, if not thousands of different 38:54 flavors they've developed, but they've got to have 38:57 at least 31 in the store at one time. 38:59 Can you imagine what that tree will be like? 39:01 You won't have to go from aisle to aisle to 39:03 find out what they eat like at the super market. 39:06 You just go to that tree, a 144 different kind of 39:09 fruit a year. And because it's planted by the river 39:13 of God running through it, fresh fruit all the time. 39:16 You can't even imagine how wonderful it's gonna be? 39:19 And the Bible says the leaves of the tree are 39:22 for the healing of the nations. 39:23 The streets of the city will be full of boys 39:27 and girls playing in the streets. 39:29 Would you have to have alarms in your houses 39:31 for burglars? Yeah. Will there be, not in heaven 39:34 you won't. Who are you gonna keep out? 39:37 Matter of fact, you won't even need 39:38 windows on your windows because the climate is 39:41 always gonna be beautiful, right? 39:43 And you never gonna, hey not to have to have 39:45 air conditioning. Will there will be any cemeteries? 39:48 Yeah. No, police stations, will there be any 39:50 hospitals? Yes. Not, in the heaven everything 39:53 is gonna be beautiful, will the animals hurt each 39:56 other? No, Isaiah 65 verse 25, "The wolf 40:02 and the lamb will feed together; the lion will 40:06 eat straw like the ox." And it says, 40:09 "A little child shall lead them. Now, right now, 40:14 if a mother saw her little child wander 40:16 through the bars of a lion's cage or a bear's cage, 40:20 she'd scream, right? Up in the mountains where 40:24 we live, we've got bears, saw some just a few 40:27 weeks ago. And when our kids were growing up 40:29 and they were little I really had to make sure 40:31 they were out there with the dog 'cause a bear 40:33 could pick them up and run off with them. 40:35 Will we have to worry about that in heaven. 40:37 A little child will lead them and a bear and a 40:40 cow will graze together. Bears will be grazing, 40:43 lions will be eating straw. And a nursing child will 40:47 play by the hole of a cobra or some venomous 40:49 snake and it won't hurt . They don't bite, they don't 40:53 have venom, there is no poison, there is nothing 40:55 that will hurt. They shall not hurt, nor destroy in 40:58 all my holy mountain. Everything there was 41:01 gonna be back like the garden of Eden, 41:02 again it's gonna be all be good, good very good. 41:05 You know, how many of you heard the story of 41:09 Little Tyke. Little tyke was a lion, who is kind of 41:14 a rescued from a zoo, because the mother 41:16 rejected it, it was a baby cub, it was a lioness. 41:19 And George and Margaret Westbow had a place 41:23 called the Hidden Valley Ranch in Seattle, 41:25 they adopted this little lion cub and tried to 41:28 nurse it and raise it up, but they noticed right 41:30 away it was a very unusual cub. 41:32 It had absolutely no interest in all in eating 41:37 any kind of meat. Now, they used to think it's 41:40 not gonna be healthy and they tried to force 41:41 little tyke to eat meat or they tried to even 41:45 pour a little blood in his milk, so it would use to it 41:47 and that it would turn up it's nose, you got a 41:49 picture right there. Little tyke they're offering 41:51 him meats, see him turning it away, 41:52 if a lion had hands he'd be holding his nose 41:55 right now, he couldn't stand meat. 41:57 There is with a lamb, it was a vegetarian lion 42:01 and you might be thinking, well he must have been 42:03 a skinny lion, got up to about 375 pounds. 42:06 Never ate meat in it's life, that lion was like 42:11 the lion that they're gonna be in heaven. 42:13 Did God originally intend for us to kill and to eat 42:15 the animals? No. Do you think when God brought 42:18 the animals before Adam and he was naming them, 42:21 he named them big Mac, or McNuggets, 42:26 or buffalo wings, I mean is that word 42:31 he was naming them? No. The animals were 42:33 his friends. Not only will the animals not be eating 42:37 each other, you won't be eating the animals in 42:39 heaven too, friends. Number seven, what 42:43 are some of the other blessings of heaven that 42:45 we read about? Oh! It's so exciting, 42:47 a lot of good news. It says in James 1 verse 12. 42:51 "We will receive the crown of life that the 42:55 Lord has promised to those that love him." 42:57 You will get a crown of life that will be never 42:59 taken away. You don't wanna trade your crown 43:02 for worms, do you? No. "We'll be clothed with 43:05 white robes." And these are not any kind of 43:07 normal robes. These robes are like flowing, 43:09 glowing robes of light. That have been washed 43:13 in the blood of the lamb. And nobody is gonna 43:16 have any kind of defects in the heaven. 43:18 I think, if I were to ask you each one of 43:20 you would say, do you got any kind of physical 43:23 problem deformity. And some of you say, 43:24 I got a little asthma, I got a little high fever, 43:27 I got this mole on my back, I got only got 43:30 this you know something we wish was different 43:31 about our health and maybe your hearing's 43:33 not good, you got glasses on, in the heaven will 43:36 anybody have any kind of physical problems? 43:39 No. everybody will like perfect bodies. 43:42 The Bible says, "The eyes of the blind 43:44 will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be 43:47 unstopped." I think God is gonna competency 43:50 you know what that means? That means, 43:52 if you are lacking something in this life, 43:54 if you get extra in the next life, if you had poor 43:57 eye sight in this life, you get to see like an 44:00 eagle when you get to heaven. If your hearing 44:02 wasn't that good in this life, you are gonna 44:05 be able to hear a miles away like superman 44:08 in heaven. And you know what? 44:10 I'm gonna have a hear on my head that's gonna 44:12 reach all the way down to here, when I get to 44:14 heaven. And if your smelling isn't very good 44:19 now, you will be able to smell like a basset 44:21 hound in heaven. Now, that could be 44:23 taken two ways, you know which way I mean it. 44:25 It says, "Then the lamb, crippled people will be 44:29 able to leap, and the dumb people who can 44:32 speak will be singing." God is gonna compensate 44:36 you know, sometimes I have to rent a car, 44:38 and when I get to the car dealership, 44:40 I usually rent an economy or mid size car, 44:43 they say all the cars are gone, but all we got 44:46 a left is the luxury addition. So, we are 44:48 gonna upgrade you. And they give me 44:50 an even nicer car then I was suppose to get. 44:52 When we get to heaven? Everybody is 44:55 gonna get an upgrade. You got there, 44:58 I promise you the Lord is gonna make you happy. 45:00 Sometimes, I have young people that come to me 45:02 and they say, Oh! Pastor Doug you know, 45:05 in heaven. I, I want to know, if I don't get 45:09 marry before I get to heaven. Are we could 45:10 be able to get married in heaven, it's almost like 45:13 they're afraid, they won't be happy in heaven 45:14 if they don't get married first here. 45:17 And that's a normal desire I understand that, 45:19 but I wanna promise you something nobody, 45:22 nobody is gonna be unhappy in heaven. 45:24 Everybody is gonna be thrilled more than you 45:28 can imagine with what God has prepared for you. 45:30 Number eight, what will not be in heaven 45:35 and in the new earth? Oh! Here are some 45:37 beautiful news, "God will wipe away every tear 45:41 from their eyes; there will be no more sorrow, 45:46 there will be no more crying, 45:48 there will no more pain." You don't ever have 45:51 to worry about falling down and skinning 45:54 your knee or breaking the bone, 45:56 or having an accident because some angel 45:58 forgot to put his turn signal on and they ran into you. 46:00 You won't have to worry about that in heaven 46:03 because God spirit and his angels watch over 46:06 everything that happens. And it will be able to lay 46:09 down and the woods and not be afraid to have 46:12 peace all the time and never worry. 46:14 Your future will be secure, not for one day 46:17 or two days, but you will know that a million 46:20 years from now, you have nothing to worry about. 46:23 Can you imagine what that would be like, 46:25 to know that everyday is gonna be better than 46:27 the day before, and it's gonna be keep getting 46:29 better and better and better all through eternity. 46:32 The Bible says that it's gonna be place of purity. 46:36 "There shall by no means enter into it 46:39 anything that defiles or causes an abomination 46:43 or a lie." Everything and everyone in heaven 46:46 is going to be perfect and pure, that's why we need 46:50 to ask Jesus now to wash away our sins, 46:54 to purify our minds and we need to cooperate 46:57 with Jesus. The Bible says, "Blessed are the pure 47:01 in heart for they shall see God." 47:05 That's the rest of that be attitude. 47:07 Would you like to see God face to face? 47:08 Yes. He wants to purify your hearts. 47:11 How are some ways that you could help Jesus? 47:14 Well, maybe there some games you know are 47:17 not from the Lord you are playing. 47:18 It could be electronic or otherwise 47:21 or music you are listening to, 47:22 or friends that just to not a good influence, 47:25 anything you can do to help you be more like Jesus. 47:29 You want to keep your eyes on him 47:30 because as you run towards you become like him. 47:34 He is your goal, that's the key you keep your eyes 47:38 on Jesus when you win the race. 47:39 I heard a story one time about three boys walking 47:42 home from school. It was a snowy day, 47:45 and they began to squabble and fight with each other, 47:48 and there was a man that was passing the boys 47:51 and he saw, they just needed a little bit of activity. 47:53 Said, you boys want something to do? He said, 47:56 why don't have a race? Now, you have race with 47:58 each other. Show you who is better. He said, 48:01 now this is a different kind of race. 48:02 So, I'm gonna stand on the other side of field 48:05 and there was pure snow all across the field, 48:08 nobody had stepped on it yet. Said, when I count 48:11 for three you start to run. Whoever gets to me first, 48:15 keep listening, whoever gets to me first with the 48:19 straightest tracks in the snow wins. 48:23 So, the man went to the other side of the field, 48:25 and he said on your mark get said go, 48:26 and they took off running. And one of the boys, 48:30 as he ran he kept looking at the tracks of 48:32 his friends wondered how they were doing, 48:33 but every time he turned to look at their tracks, 48:35 he didn't realize he was zigging and zagging. 48:37 And then the other boy as he is running 48:40 he kept look at his over shoulder on his own tracks, 48:42 but you can't do that without turning, 48:44 you ever tried look behind you on a bicycle 48:47 and ride on a straight line, you can't do it. 48:50 And every time you look behind you, 48:52 you will start to turn. Yeah. The third boy 48:55 you know, he did. He put his eyes on the man, 48:58 he didn't look behind them, he didn't look at 49:00 his friends, he fixed his eyes on the man 49:03 and he ran straight towards him. 49:05 And his tracks were straight and he got 49:07 there the fastest. You know, what the key 49:09 is to winning the race in life? 49:11 The Bible says in Hebrews chapter 12, 49:13 "Fix your eyes on Jesus, look at him everyday, 49:18 talk to him everyday, it's like a photographic 49:21 plate on your soul. Now a picture gets on a 49:23 either digital or any camera. Its sees 49:27 the image and it's imprinted. The more that you keep 49:30 your eyes on Jesus, you start becoming like him. 49:32 So, anything you are watching, you are 49:35 watching the wrong kind of programs, 49:37 thinks you are listening to. Even the food you 49:40 eat can affects what you become like they say, 49:43 you are what you eat? You wonder want to be 49:45 gummy worms, would you? No. So, you fix 49:49 your eyes on Jesus and you begun to 49:50 become like him. Number nine, 49:53 does Jesus want me there? And how can I 49:57 be ready? Does Jesus want you in that kingdom 49:59 friends? He says, I've gone to prepare a place 50:03 for you. He wants you in that kingdom, 50:05 so much that he paid his whole life for you 50:08 to be there. You know, in Phoenix, Arizona they have 50:12 got this mansion called the McCune mansion 50:15 and Walker McCune build this beautiful mansion 50:18 for his young bride because he loved her so much, 50:21 they got a swimming pool with had a private theater, 50:23 it had a ballroom, it had a beauty salon, 50:26 it had a tennis court, it just that everything 50:30 50,000 square feet or something like this 50:32 beautiful mansion after he build at all spend 50:35 $25 million. She said, I don't like it, I don't think 50:38 I want to live there, she never moved in. 50:41 Don't you know that must have broken his heart? 50:43 How do you think Jesus feels, when he says, 50:46 I've gone to prepare a place for you. 50:47 And we are so busy where the things of the world 50:50 that we don't wanna get ready for his mansion. 50:53 That he has prepared. Don't you wanna live in 50:56 that beautiful mansion that Jesus has prepared. 50:58 Amen. You know, this world is a strange land, 51:01 there is a devil here, there is we are going on. 51:03 And the only way to get to the kingdom is to 51:06 fix our eyes on Jesus. To go on that amazing adventure 51:09 towards him. I heard about a little Colly, 51:13 little Colly named Clancy. Family had him since 51:16 he was born till he was six months old, 51:19 but then they had them move from Buffalo, 51:20 New York to Michigan, City Indiana, about 500 miles 51:24 and they couldn't take him to the new home. 51:26 So, they left him with some neighbors, 51:28 but Clancy didn't know the neighbors 51:30 and he had been with his family who life 51:31 and he missed them desperately. 51:33 He took off and ran away first chance he got. 51:36 Six months later, the family heard scratching 51:41 at the door at Michigan City, Indiana, they 51:43 opened the door and there was Clancy. 51:46 A little skinny, his paws were a little worn, 51:49 but he was so happy when he saw them, 51:52 and they were so shocked to see Clancy. 51:54 It's a true story, went 500 miles that puppy, 51:57 they don't know how he did it? He must have 52:00 had some amazing adventure, but all he 52:02 could think about was getting back home. 52:04 And he went inside their house, he went right 52:06 passed them and he saw his favorite rug, 52:07 and he curled up on the rug, took a deep sigh, 52:11 and went to sleep. He had some adventure; 52:14 do you want to be with Jesus in his home? 52:17 Yeah. He wants you there, but you have 52:19 got to make a decision to come to him. 52:21 How many of you would you like to say tonight, 52:24 that you wanna put Jesus first? 52:27 Do you wanna follow him and trust him 52:29 and get to that golden kingdom? 52:32 Matter of fact, I wanna have special prayer 52:33 with you, and all of our friends we have 52:35 made a lot of friends around the world watching. 52:37 Let's stand together and I wanna have a prayer. 52:39 The Bible says, "Jesus stands at the door knocks 52:43 and he wants to come in." Would you like for 52:47 him to come in? Let's all close our eyes, 52:50 bow ours heads those who are watching, 52:52 I want to pray with you. Father in heaven, 52:56 we are so excited when we think about the 52:59 kingdom of gold that you prepared those mansions, 53:02 all of the wonders and the glories of heaven. 53:05 Lord we want to be there. Work miracles in the lives 53:09 of each of these young people, here and those 53:11 who are watching, help them to know what they 53:13 can do they can lay aside any weights that prevent 53:16 them from running that race and being in your kingdom. 53:19 Pour out your Spirit in each heart and each family 53:22 and help us ready for that amazing adventure, 53:25 we ask in Jesus name, amen.
