00:02 male announcer: This presentation is brought to you
00:03 by the friends of the Amazing Facts Ministry. 00:14 Doug Batchelor : Your life depends on your hunger. 00:16 Hunger is a good thing. 00:17 But oftentimes we are hungering for things that give us some 00:22 temporary satisfaction, but it doesn't last because we're not 00:26 dealing with the deeper issue. 00:32 Doug: We're going through a series, if you are here for the 00:34 first time, just to give you some background, we're talking 00:36 about the beatitudes that you find there in the Sermon on the 00:40 Mount, and it's in the Gospel of Matthew chapter 5, the first 12 00:46 verses, and right now we're in part two in that series on the 00:51 beatitudes talking about "Eight Keys to Joy and to Peace." 00:57 You know, they say in flying, in aviation, your attitude 01:02 determines your altitude. 01:04 Have you heard that expression before? 01:07 And what that means is the attitude of the plane, the plane 01:09 is fixed, the attitude of the plane going through the air, if 01:12 it's attitude is like that, it hits the earth and goes down. 01:14 If its attitude is like this, it goes up. 01:17 If its attitude is like that, it's going to turn. 01:18 And so, the attitude determines altitude, and they say that's 01:22 true of you, depending on what your attitude is in life. 01:26 But I'd like to say your beatitudes determine 01:30 your altitude. 01:32 The Bible beatitudes, that word there means blessing, but it 01:36 really is a beatitude, because it's dealing with the 01:41 inner life. 01:42 All of the beatitudes are dealing with the inner life. 01:44 Now, we did an introduction and we covered about three of them 01:47 last, I'd like to review that quickly. 01:49 It doesn't take long. 01:50 If you turn to your Bibles to Matthew chapter 5 and we'll 01:54 start with verse 3. Jesus is speaking to a multitude of 01:57 disciples, He's up on a hillside, He sits when He 02:00 teaches, and He opens His mouth, and He says, "Blessed are the 02:04 poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." 02:08 Doesn't say someday it will be, but He said now, it is, the 02:12 kingdom of heaven is at hand. 02:15 And the poor in spirit are those who recognize their 02:18 spiritual poverty. 02:20 Then He says, "Blessed are those who mourn," when they realize 02:23 that they're poor, and wretched, and sinful, and our struggles, 02:27 they mourn for that, He promises they will be comforted. 02:31 This also is those who maybe mourning a personal loss. 02:37 The Bible tells us that when Martha and Mary came to Jesus 02:43 after the death of Lazarus, He saw everybody weeping and He 02:47 wept with them, but then He comforted them with 02:49 a resurrection. 02:51 They were comforted. 02:53 And then He says, "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit 02:56 the earth," talking about humility, which is the opposite 02:59 attitude of the devil who is proud and selfish. 03:04 The meek after we realize our poverty of spirit, and we 03:08 realize how weak we are, we mourn those things. 03:11 That will develop within you an attitude of meekness. 03:14 Have you heard of someone who's been through a 03:16 humiliating experience? 03:19 They're more likely to behave meekly than those who are proud 03:23 and arrogant. 03:24 Now, that brings us to our subject for today. 03:27 Are you hungry, anyone hungry? 03:31 I just ate a little breakfast this morning, hoping that it 03:33 would help me be more into the message. 03:36 A few grapes and nuts, because I'm going to talk about hunger. 03:39 We may get on to some other beatitudes, but Jesus said, 03:43 "Blessed," happy, "Are those who hunger." 03:46 That sounds like another paradox right there. 03:49 You think it would be happy are those who are filled, but He 03:52 said no, you're blessed if you are hungry. 03:55 Are you hungry for what? 03:57 If you're hungering and thirsting for righteousness, 04:02 those are the ones who will be filled. 04:05 This is one of the most important beatitudes, and you 04:08 see a change is taking place. 04:11 First it's talking about, you know, your poverty of spirit and 04:15 your morning and humility, and now it's saying you're not going 04:18 to just look at the problem anymore, now you're going to 04:21 hunger after the answer. 04:24 I don't want to always be mourning that I am poor of 04:28 spirit, at some point I want righteousness. 04:32 Righteousness is a definition of Christ. 04:35 So when you say you're hungering and thirsting after 04:38 righteousness, that means you are hungering and thirsting to 04:40 be like Jesus, to have his attitudes. 04:43 In fact, as you go through the beatitudes, they're all talking 04:46 about being Christlike. 04:49 He became poor that we might be rich. 04:52 So, as you go through them one by one, and we'll do this before 04:54 we're done, I'll show you that really the essence, the 04:57 quintessence of all the beatitudes is to be like Christ. 05:02 Now, how do you get that righteousness? 05:05 You hunger for it. 05:07 You know, hunger is a desire we all have. 05:11 It's part of life and it's something that is ongoing. 05:15 The hunger and thirst for righteousness are also something 05:18 that it's an ongoing hunger, and there's an ongoing filling that 05:22 happens when you have that ongoing hunger 05:25 for righteousness. 05:27 You know, I'm sorry. 05:30 I'm sorry in a sense that there's probably very few of you 05:35 here that have really been hungry, and I'm not sorry that I 05:40 want you to suffer, I'm sorry that you won't ever know what 05:42 I'm preaching about today. 05:44 Because unless you've gone days without eating, and you've had 05:49 to, you know, be satisfied with things like the grass, and 05:54 weeds, and just handfuls of this and that, your stomach hurt so 05:58 much, you tighten your belt, hoping it'll take away the pain. 06:02 Not too many of us pray that prayer, "Lord, give me this day 06:05 my daily bread," and you really are praying there'll be bread 06:08 for one more day. 06:10 So, when I talk about hunger, people in the Bible, they knew 06:16 what hunger was. 06:18 There were famines where they wouldn't eat. 06:21 And Jesus said I want you to hunger. 06:23 I want you to crave. 06:25 I want you to yearn. 06:27 People are driven by hunger. 06:29 You know, my appetite, and I'm not a starving person, but just 06:33 my regular, everyday appetite like you have dictates 06:37 my schedule. 06:39 How many of you build your day around your hunger? 06:43 I admit it. 06:45 I plan on eating something in the morning, I plan on 06:47 eating lunch. 06:49 A matter of fact, we often have our staff meeting, and I meet 06:52 with the different pastors, it's kind of nice now, we're meeting 06:54 the new Amazing Facts offices, and they know that Doug is going 06:58 to start squirming in his chair if we've been going an hour and 07:00 a half and it's getting around lunchtime. 07:02 I say, "This meeting has to be over." 07:04 "But we got this important item to talk about." 07:06 I say, "It doesn't matter, I've got something more important. 07:08 I have an appointment with my stomach." 07:11 You know what I mean? 07:13 At some point you say, "I've got priorities here, I'm hungry." 07:19 And the hungrier you get, the less important everything 07:24 else seems. 07:26 Isn't that right? 07:28 Blessed are you when you hunger and thirst for righteousness. 07:37 Now, how do you know if you're hungry for God? 07:42 What are the signs? 07:44 Are you seeking after the things of God and righteousness? 07:48 Do you have a yearning in your heart and a desire for 07:52 his holiness? 07:54 If you see in yourself something that is wrong, are you satisfied 08:01 with that, or are you disgusted because you are hungering 08:04 for righteousness? 08:06 Do you long for His word? 08:07 Do you have an appetite for the bread of life? 08:11 The Bible tells us that this would be a sign of a 08:14 good hunger. 08:16 Job chapter 23 verse 12, "I have esteemed the words of His mouth 08:21 more than my necessary food." 08:23 Where did he put it as a priority? 08:25 He said more. 08:26 Jeremiah 15:16, "Your words were found, and I ate them, and your 08:31 word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart." 08:36 Do you hunger for the Word of God? 08:38 First Chronicles 22, what are you seeking? 08:41 Are you seeking God? 08:44 "Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God," 08:47 is what David said to Solomon. 08:49 Seek after God. 08:51 Seek after righteousness. 08:53 Jeremiah 29:13, "And you will seek for Me, and you'll find Me 08:57 when you seek for Me with all of your heart." 09:01 Alright, so much about that. 09:02 I could do a whole message on hungering and thirsting, but I 09:04 got a couple more beatitudes. 09:06 Next one, "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall 09:10 obtain mercy." 09:12 Now, remember that the beatitudes are going in 09:16 sequence, you can't mix them up. 09:18 There's an order, there's a progression, they are steps. 09:22 It's an advance that's happening here. 09:24 What you see is the first step in entering the kingdom is being 09:28 poor in spirit, recognizing your spiritual poverty. 09:31 Then you mourn over that spiritual poverty. 09:34 The third one is you then meekly submit to the Word of God. 09:37 The fourth one is you will hunger for righteousness that 09:39 you don't possess, which will produce in you, when you have 09:43 that righteousness, an attitude of mercy towards others. 09:48 When I say, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after 09:51 righteousness," I did it myself, and you probably did it with me, 09:55 I automatically thought about my hunger, and my thirst, and 09:58 my righteousness. 10:00 But you know, really, hunger and thirst for righteousness, you 10:04 need to care about other people's righteousness. 10:09 announcer: Don't forget to request today's life-changing 10:11 free resource. 10:12 Not only can you receive this free gift in the mail, you can 10:15 download a digital copy straight to your computer or 10:17 mobile device. 10:19 To get your copy of today's free gift, simply call us and ask for 10:22 the offer number shown on your screen. 10:25 Or visit the web address and download a digital copy, and be 10:28 sure to select the digital download option on the 10:31 request page. 10:32 It's now easier than ever for you to study God's Word with 10:35 "Amazing Facts," wherever and whenever you want, and most 10:39 important, to share it with others. 10:43 Doug: How many of you remember that big parable of the great 10:45 judgment day? 10:47 Matthew 25 where Jesus said it will be a day when God separates 10:50 the sheep from the goats, and he says to the sheep, "Well done, 10:54 blessed are you my servants. 10:55 Enter into the joy of the Lord, good and faithful. 10:58 I was hungry and you gave me food. 11:01 I was thirsty, you gave me drink. 11:04 I was naked, you gave me clothes. 11:06 I was alone, and you visited me. 11:08 I was sick or in prison, and you came to me. 11:11 I was a stranger, you took me in." 11:12 I doubled up, there's six of them. 11:15 And they'll say, "Lord, when did we see you in any of 11:18 those conditions? 11:19 We don't remember that occasion." 11:20 He said, "In as much as you did it to the least of these, you 11:23 did it to me." 11:25 Now, that to me is a really powerful proverb, because you 11:28 realize Jesus does not say to the righteous you kept the 11:31 Sabbath, and you didn't lie, and you didn't covet, and you didn't 11:34 steal, you didn't commit adultery, into the kingdom 11:37 you go. 11:39 He doesn't judge them based on sins of commission, He judges 11:43 them based on sins of omission. 11:46 He says to the goats, "Depart from Me, ye cursed into 11:49 everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 11:52 For I was hungry, you didn't feed me. 11:54 I was thirsty, you didn't give me drink. 11:55 I was naked, a stranger, alone in prison, you didn't help me." 12:02 And they say, "Lord, we would never neglect you." 12:04 He said, "In as much as you didn't do it to the least of 12:07 these, you neglected me." 12:09 So wow, let's say you did not have mercy on anybody. 12:14 You are surrounded in the world by needs, people are suffering, 12:19 don't you have mercy on them? 12:21 The good Samaritan had mercy on a total stranger, and he 12:25 stopped, he wrapped up his wounds, he poured in the oil and 12:29 the wine, he put him on his animal, he said, "You ride, 12:31 I'll walk." 12:33 He takes him to the inn and he says, "I'll take care of you for 12:35 a while, but I've got to go, so I'm going to give money to the 12:37 innkeeper, and he can take care of you." 12:40 Wow, that's going the second mile for an enemy. 12:43 That's what it means. 12:45 "Blessed are the merciful, they will obtain mercy." 12:49 Do you care, are you touched, do you just have pity, or do you 12:52 have pity that acts? 12:54 I mean, you know, I've often seen people suffering, and you 12:57 go, "Tisk, tisk, tisk, tisk," and you say a little prayer for 12:59 them, and you go on your way. 13:01 And that's pretty cheap, everyone does that. 13:03 Biblical mercy is proactive. 13:07 It does something for those that are in need. 13:10 Jesus says those will be blessed. 13:12 You know, there is a blessing in ministering to the needs 13:15 of others. 13:17 Doesn't Jesus say it is more what? 13:19 "It is more blessed to give than receive." 13:22 You're blessed when you give. 13:25 And so, He's calling us to have that kind of mercy. 13:29 Now, when it says have mercy, we are showing mercy on others 13:33 because we've received mercy from God, is that right? 13:39 We receive such abundant mercy. 13:42 That takes us to the parable in Matthew 18 where there's this 13:44 man, he squandered the king's substance, he's 10,000 talents 13:48 in debt, the king said, "You know the law. 13:51 That's a terrible waste. 13:54 You stole all my money, you've wasted all my money, you're 13:56 going to jail, I'm selling your family, I'm selling your goods," 13:59 and the servant falls down and says, "Master, have mercy on me, 14:02 have pity." 14:04 And he cries, and he sobs, and he sees the family crying, and 14:07 the king is moved with compassion. 14:08 Now, if I had a servant like that, I'd say you get what you 14:10 deserve, 10,000 talents, you realize how much that is? 14:13 That's the entire budget for Palestine for a whole year. 14:17 That was a fantastic amount of money. 14:19 It's like our national debt today, trillions of dollars. 14:24 And the king said alright, I forgive you. 14:26 You know what that means? 14:28 The king says I'll pay. 14:29 I'm going to suffer the loss. 14:32 Now, if I was that man, and I'm going around, and I'm carrying a 14:35 burden, "Oh, man, I owe 10,000 talents to the king," I'd be 14:38 thinking about it everyday. 14:39 I couldn't enjoy anything if I had that kind of debt on my 14:42 shoulders, could you? 14:43 Ten-thousand talents, I don't like owing the credit card 14:47 company one month. 14:49 Ten-thousand talents, the king says, "Forgiven, I'm going to 14:53 strike it from the record." 14:54 He goes and he finds a fellow servant that owes him a paltry, 14:57 measly some, takes him by the throat, puts him in prison to be 15:02 tortured for $42, or whatever it was, it was nothing. 15:07 And when the king heard about it, he said, "You 15:08 wicked servant. 15:10 I forgave you that massive debt because you asked me. 15:14 Couldn't you have had compassion on your fellow servant as I had 15:18 pity on you?" 15:19 So when the Bible says, "Blessed are the merciful," it's not just 15:21 saying that we care about the suffering of others, it means 15:24 we're willing to forgive others. 15:27 What's the one statement Jesus makes His commentary on the 15:31 Lord's Prayer? 15:33 "If you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your 15:36 Father in heaven forgive your trespasses." 15:38 There are some people who do not like to pray the Lord's Prayer 15:40 because they know that part that says forgive us as we forgive 15:44 others, that depends on if you're in Luke or if you're in 15:47 Matthew, trespasses or debts, but it's the same principle. 15:53 And some say, "I don't want God to forgive me the way I forgive 15:55 others," because we have a hard time forgiving others. 15:59 "Blessed are the merciful, they will obtain mercy." 16:02 You know, at the end of Matthew 18, He said that wicked servant 16:06 who would not forgive, now don't forget this. 16:08 God is not saying tell you what, you forgive everybody, and I'll 16:10 have mercy on you. 16:11 He says I have mercy on you first, but then you must share 16:14 it, or you don't get to keep it. 16:16 God takes the initiative first. 16:18 He shows us mercy in the gospel. 16:20 God is the one who initiates the gospel. 16:23 He first forgives and then He says now after I've forgiven you 16:25 so much, it's supposed to transform your heart, so you 16:28 then are willing to forgive others. 16:30 And if you don't, he said to that wicked servant, delivered 16:36 him to the tormentors until he should pay everything that 16:39 was owed. 16:40 And Jesus said, "So my heavenly Father shall do to each of you 16:45 if you from your heart does not forgive every man his brother 16:49 their trespasses." 16:51 Wow, in other words, forgiveness from God is a free gift, but 16:58 there are criteria. 17:01 To keep it, you need to share it. 17:04 You don't get to keep the gospel if you don't share the gospel. 17:08 It's all about sharing. 17:10 "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy." 17:15 Colossians 3:12, "Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and 17:19 beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, 17:23 meekness, longsuffering." 17:25 It's basically summarizing beatitudes here. 17:27 "Bearing with one another, forgiving one another. 17:30 If anyone has a complaint against another, even as Christ 17:34 forgave you, so also you must do." 17:38 It's not optional. 17:40 You say, "Oh, Lord, I can't. 17:42 You don't know what they said about me, or what they did to 17:44 me, or how they're treating me and talking to others about me. 17:46 How can I forgive them? 17:47 Not until they repent." 17:49 You've got to forgive them for your own sake, because 17:51 unforgiveness is a poison that will corrode its container. 17:58 If you have unforgiveness in your heart, it's like an acid 18:01 that eats out the container you put it in. 18:04 And so, even for your own benefit, it doesn't mean that 18:07 you can change them, and they may not forgive you. 18:10 You don't have control over that, but you can choose and 18:13 say, "Lord, I'm going to choose, by your power, to let it go." 18:17 And you may think about it, but then you say, "Lord, I forgive 18:20 them, and take that away from my mind," and he will. 18:25 Jesus said, "All men will know you are My disciples," by what? 18:29 Love for one another. 18:30 The world has yet to see what the modern church looks like 18:33 when we really love and forgive each other. 18:37 I've always said I would really have no problem being a pastor 18:40 if it wasn't for people. 18:44 Finally for today, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will 18:50 see God." 18:52 Now, you know all through the beatitudes, Jesus is reminding 18:55 us and He's reminding those who are listening that He's 18:58 interested on the inside. 19:01 He said if you're going to clean a cup, clean the inside of the 19:03 cup first. 19:06 He wants us to be pure in our hearts. 19:09 The Bible tells us without holiness, nobody will see God. 19:14 The whole gospel is designed to forgive us. 19:17 There is a righteousness that Christ offers to us. 19:19 We hunger and thirst for righteousness, He gives us that 19:22 righteousness first as a gift through his sacrifice. 19:25 It comes immediately by faith. 19:28 You receive the righteousness of God that you hunger 19:31 for immediately. 19:32 You can be satisfied by trusting in His promise, that's called 19:36 imputed righteousness. 19:37 Then as you follow on to know the Lord, then He gives you an 19:41 imparted sanctification righteousness, and that's when 19:44 you've got this purity of heart, and you are filled because 19:47 you've been changed on the inside. 19:48 Now, did you get what I said? 19:50 It's really important. 19:51 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness." 19:53 You can be filled through justification, immediately, like 19:57 the thief on the cross. 19:58 Is that right? 19:59 But you don't stop there. 20:01 The beatitudes go on. 20:02 You're longing now for purity on the inside. 20:04 It's not just that you're being covered, but you ought to 20:08 be transformed. 20:10 You want a purity of what? 20:11 The heart, and you know in the Bible wants his heart. 20:14 I want a purity in my mind. 20:17 "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." 20:19 And we want to have new thinking, and God gives us 20:23 purity of heart. 20:25 Psalm 15 verse 2, "Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? 20:31 Who might dwell in Your holy hill? 20:33 He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks 20:38 the truth in his heart." 20:41 God wants us to be honest in our hearts. 20:46 He wants us to be pure in our hearts. 20:48 He doesn't want, you know, covetousness, the last of the 20:50 Ten Commandments. 20:51 It's really a heart problem. 20:53 It's something going on in the heart. 20:56 John 1:47, Jesus saw Nathaniel coming towards him, and he said, 21:00 "Behold, an Israelite in whom there is no deceit. 21:03 Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you will see heaven 21:06 open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the 21:10 Son of Man." 21:11 He said here's an honest Israelite. 21:12 An Israelite, he was pure in heart. 21:14 First Timothy verse 5, Paul says, "Keep thy self pure." 21:22 Enoch walked with God for 300 years, he was seeking purity 21:25 of heart. 21:26 Hebrews 12 verse 4, "Follow peace with all men and 21:30 holiness," now catch this, "Without which no one will see 21:34 the Lord." 21:36 Zacchaeus climbed a tree, why? 21:39 Because he was short. 21:40 He was short and he climbed a tree so he could see God. 21:43 Zacchaeus wanted to see God. 21:45 You know what the word Zacchaeus means? 21:48 Pure, the pure will see God. 21:53 Did he see Jesus? 21:55 He hungered for that view and he got it. 21:57 First Peter 2:1, "As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of 22:02 the word, that you might grow thereby." 22:04 So, how do we grow in this purity? 22:06 How do we grow in this holiness? 22:08 It's through the Word of God. 22:10 First John 3:3, "Everyone who has this hope in him purifies 22:14 himself, just as he is pure." 22:16 What level of purity are we talking about? 22:19 A Christian is like Christ. 22:22 God is calling upon us to be Christlike. 22:24 The purpose of the gospel is to restore in us the image of God. 22:30 I know that seems--it's interesting, there's two 22:32 different extremes. 22:34 One person, you say God is going to give you a gift of 22:37 righteousness, all you do is ask for it. 22:39 Believe and he will forgive all the sins of your past. 22:41 You know what they say? 22:43 That's too easy. 22:44 That doesn't make sense. 22:46 And then you tell those people, well, don't worry, then he wants 22:49 you to be sanctified and you will be like Christ. 22:50 They say that's too hard. 22:53 So, there's some people, no matter how you put it to them 22:55 they say it's too easy, it's too hard. 22:58 It is easy to come to Christ by faith. 23:00 Well, I guess for some people it's not, but it's a simple 23:04 thing to receive that righteousness, to receive 23:08 that purity. 23:10 He gives you a new heart and then you long for it to be 23:12 your character. 23:14 Now, you may--it's like Paul says there in Romans, "Oh, 23:20 wretched man that I am. 23:21 Who will deliver me from this body of death?" 23:24 You know, we see the sinfulness in ourselves, and we hunger for 23:27 righteousness, we hunger for purity, we hunger for the 23:30 characteristics of Christ, then he promises in "Romans, I thank 23:34 God that I no longer have to walk after the flesh, but I can 23:39 walk after the Spirit." 23:40 We can be Spirit-filled. 23:43 So, what's the promise? 23:44 "Blessed are the pure in heart," for what? 23:47 "They will see God." 23:48 Did anybody get to see God? 23:51 Genesis 32:30, "And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, 23:56 for he said, 'I have seen God face to face, and my life 24:01 is preserved.'" 24:02 He had what they call a christophany. 24:04 He saw Jesus prior to His incarnation. 24:08 Deuteronomy 5:4, "The Lord talked with you face to face on 24:13 the mountain from the midst of the fire." 24:14 God told the whole nation. 24:16 Deuteronomy 34:10, "But since then there has not arisen in 24:20 Israel a prophet like Moses, whom the Lord knew face 24:24 to face." 24:26 Judges 6 verse 22, "Now Gideon perceived it was an angel of the 24:31 Lord, So Gideon said, 'Alas, O Lord God, for I have seen the 24:34 angel of the Lord face to face.'" 24:36 This was again Christ. 24:38 "The Lord said, Peace be to you. 24:39 Do not fear, you will not die.'" 24:41 They were so afraid if they saw God face to face, they'd die. 24:46 Now, the whole problem with sin in Genesis, man ran from God. 24:51 He was separated from God because of sin. 24:54 We've been separated, our sins have separated us, but through 24:58 the sacrifice of Jesus and the washing of the blood, we can be 25:02 restored to the presence of God. 25:08 announcer: Don't forget to request today's life-changing, 25:11 free resource. 25:12 Not only can you receive this free gift in the mail, you can 25:14 download a digital copy straight to your computer or 25:17 mobile device. 25:18 To get your digital copy of today's free gift, simply text 25:22 the keyword on your screen to 40544, or visit the web address 25:26 shown on your screen, and be sure to select the digital 25:29 download option on the request page. 25:31 It's now easier than ever for you to study God's Word with 25:35 "Amazing Facts" wherever and whenever you want, and most 25:38 important, to share it with others. 25:43 female announcer: Let's face it, it's not always easy to 25:45 understand everything you read in the Bible. 25:47 With over 700,000 words contained in 66 books, the Bible 25:52 can generate a lot of questions. 25:54 To get biblical, straightforward answers, call into "Bible 25:57 Answers Live," a live, nationwide call-in radio program 26:01 where you can talk to Pastor Doug Bachelor, and ask him your 26:04 most difficult Bible questions. 26:06 For times and stations in your area, or to listen to answers 26:09 online, visit BAL.AmazingFacts.org. 26:15 male announcer: You can become a Bible expert with the Amazing 26:18 Facts "Storacles of Prophecy Bible Study Experience." 26:21 Now available in 18 languages, these 24 easy-to-read lessons 26:26 will give you confidence about what the Bible actually says 26:29 about the second coming, the rapture, the Antichrist, and the 26:32 mark of the beast. 26:34 You'll also get the truth about hell and the afterlife, and 26:37 practical insight about grace, salvation, and how to truly live 26:42 like Jesus. 26:43 Even better, it's absolutely free at Storacle.com. 26:48 So, don't miss out, get started on your Bible study adventure 26:52 today at Storacles.com. 27:00 male announcer: "Amazing Facts," through your faithful support, 27:03 has had a major impact on some of the largest non-Christian 27:07 locations in the world. 27:08 AFCOE Global opened up Center of Evangelism schools in India, the 27:12 Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and even in the Philippines. 27:17 Adam Ramdin: It's people on the ground, in the church, on the 27:20 door, in the home, doing Bible studies, witnessing to people, 27:24 winning them to Jesus, leading them to baptism in England, in 27:28 India, in Africa, or anywhere around the world. 27:31 But you're seeing change on a personal level take place. 27:37 Doug: You know, every week we hear the most incredible stories 27:40 from all over the globe of lives that are being changed and 27:43 hearts that are being transformed by the power of the 27:45 word, and none of it could happen without the blessing of 27:48 God and our partnership, your teamwork with this ministry. 27:53 God Bless you. 27:55 ♪♪♪ 28:04 male announcer: Don't forget to request today's free offer. 28:06 It's sure to be a blessing. 28:08 And thank you for your continued support as we take the gospel of 28:11 Jesus Christ to the world. 28:13 We hope you'll join us next week as we delve deep into the Word 28:17 of God to explore more amazing facts. 28:25 This presentation was brought to you by the friends of the 28:27 Amazing Facts Ministry. |
