00:02 male announcer: This presentation is brought to you
00:03 by the friends of the Amazing Facts Ministry. 00:10 Doug Batchelor: The Great Basin bristle cone pine is one of the 00:13 longest-living organisms on earth. 00:15 Incredibly, it can live more than 4,000 years. 00:19 In fact, one specimen called the Methuselah tree in the White 00:23 Mountains of California is believed to be over 4,700 years 00:27 old, and it's among the oldest living trees on the planet. 00:31 This tree was around when the Egyptians were building 00:34 the pyramids. 00:35 Some of these ancient evergreens found on lonely mountaintops 00:39 have weathered thousands of years of intense freezing wind, 00:42 pounding rain, scorching sun, and violent electrical storms. 00:47 How have they managed to survive for millennia of such harsh 00:51 weather and adverse conditions? 00:53 They do it by sending their roots deep, and wrapping them 00:56 tenaciously around the solid rock, and hanging on. 00:59 You know, friends, Jesus tells us that there's a time of 01:02 tribulation coming just before His return, an intense, 01:05 frightful storm of trouble unlike anything we've ever seen. 01:10 Is your life anchored on the solid rock of Christ? 01:13 Let's explore together from the Bible just what will 01:16 happen in the last days. 01:22 Doug: The lesson tonight dealing with "The Coronation of the 01:24 King" is based on a story that you're gonna find in your Bible 01:27 in 2 Kings chapter 11. 01:30 And just to give you the background, there was a king 01:33 named Jehu, King of Israel. 01:35 He came into power, and one day he killed two other kings. 01:39 He killed the King of Judea, the Southern Kingdom, and he killed 01:42 his rival in the Northern Kingdom. 01:44 When Ahaziah died, his mother, who was the daughter of Jezebel, 01:49 her name was Athaliah, was a wicked queen. 01:52 She did not want one of her grandchildren to rule in 01:55 her place. 01:56 Normally, it would have been one of the sons of David that would 01:59 be ruling in the place, but she was so bloodthirsty and 02:03 ruthless, she killed her grandchildren, slaughtered her 02:07 grandchildren so none of them would be king, and she ruled 02:11 over the land for six years as a tyrant. 02:15 Well, this reminds us of something that's happened 02:18 several times in the Bible where the devil has made an effort to 02:22 eliminate the royal seed. 02:24 See, the devil knew that the Son of God was gonna come into the 02:27 world to save humanity, and back in the days of Moses, Satan was 02:31 worried that the Savior was gonna come, so he got the King 02:35 of Egypt to kill all the baby boys. 02:38 And then during this story, Queen Athaliah, she killed all 02:41 the descendants of David, 'cause God said the Messiah would come 02:44 through the house of David. 02:46 And then, King Herod, he went into Bethlehem, he killed all 02:48 the baby boys in Bethlehem, because, why? 02:51 Trying to destroy that Savior child. 02:54 Then you go to Revelation and you read where the dragon tried 02:57 to destroy the man-child, and all of it starts to come 03:01 together when you see the stories in the history in 03:04 the Bible. 03:05 You see what I'm saying? 03:07 So, Athaliah was not able to get all of the grandchildren 03:11 of David. 03:13 Actually, the aunt of a baby boy, one years old, by the name 03:18 of Jehoash, she scooped him up when they were annihilating all 03:22 the other children, took him off to the temple. 03:26 Athaliah was a pagan queen, she didn't spend much time in 03:28 God's temple. 03:30 And he was hidden there for six years. 03:32 How long did I say? 03:33 Six years. 03:35 Well, it's kinda hard for a seven-year-old boy to stay quiet 03:39 for very long. 03:40 The high priest, Jehoiadah, he loved him like his own son. 03:44 He knew he was the last surviving heir of David's 03:47 throne, and Athaliah was making things worse and worse, and he 03:51 said we can't wait forever. 03:52 So when Jehoash turned seven, after six years of being in 03:56 captivity, the high priest said, "Now's the time." 04:01 And then one preparation afternoon he got the guard 04:05 together, he said I've got something special to show you. 04:07 He got 300 of the secure guard, and he said, "The son of David 04:11 is still alive, one survived. 04:13 He is the rightful king, we need to coronate him." 04:16 And in one day, the Bible says, he brought out Jehoash, the 04:19 young boy, the people came to the temple to worship, they said 04:23 the son of David still lives. 04:25 Everyone was wondering where that missing boy was. 04:29 And the people shouted, they blew the trumpets, they put a 04:32 little crown on his head, they gave him the royal scroll of the 04:36 covenant, and they proclaimed him king. 04:38 Well, wicked Queen Athaliah heard all the commotion, she 04:40 came running into the temple and she said, "Treason, treason," 04:43 and the high priests said take her out and kill her and all 04:47 that follow her. 04:48 And in one day, the son of David came out of the temple, they 04:52 blew the trumpets, the people rejoiced, he received the 04:55 kingdom, and all the enemies were slain. 04:59 That is an allegory for what is coming, friends. 05:02 Jesus is our Savior. 05:03 He's our high priest. 05:05 He's by the throne of God and the heavenly temple. 05:07 He's going to come out of that temple, and He's going to rescue 05:11 His people. 05:12 Now, there's something that you find in the Bible, a lot of 05:15 scholars have looked at this, they call it the 05:16 millennial week. 05:18 If you look at Bible history, you can see that you just add up 05:22 the ages in the Bible, we know how long Adam lived and how long 05:25 Abraham lived, it gives a very detailed chronology. 05:28 Notice this, it's very interesting. 05:31 Adam was created somewhere around 4,000 years B.C., we 05:35 don't know the exact date, and I'm not gonna try and give that 05:37 to you. 05:39 For 2,000 years, God preaches the gospel through what we call 05:42 the patriarchs, that'd be Adam, Seth, Noah, Enoch, Methuselah. 05:51 By the way, who's the oldest man that ever lived? 05:57 Some of you have heard this before, yeah. 05:59 People say Methuselah. 06:01 Methuselah lived 969 years, he's actually the oldest man that 06:04 ever died, it's a trick question. 06:07 His father, Enoch, was taken to heaven, he's still alive. 06:09 He's the oldest man that ever lived. 06:12 But then Abraham was born about 2,004 B.C. 06:19 For the next 2,000 years, God works in a special way through 06:22 the Hebrew people, then Jesus comes along. 06:27 Jesus is born, believe it or not, 4 B.C. 06:29 I know that sounds confusing. 06:31 How could Jesus be born four years before Christ? 06:34 But when they set up the A.D./B.C. 06:36 dating method, they just took their best stab at the date they 06:40 thought Jesus was born, and then later they found out that they 06:43 were off several years, because they know King Herod the Great 06:47 died about 2 B.C. 06:48 He was still alive when Jesus was born. 06:50 Jesus was baptized in 27 A.D. 06:53 The Bible says it was as He began to be 30 years of age, so 06:57 you just count back and they say, "Oh, they were off a 06:59 little bit." 07:00 Anyway, so Jesus was born about 4 B.C. 07:03 And now, here we are 2,000 years later, so you've got three 07:06 stages you see, three phases. 07:09 You've got the age of the patriarchs, 2,000 years, age of 07:12 the Jews, 2,000 years, the age of the church, 2,000 years, and 07:15 then you get to Revelation, it says we live and reign with 07:18 Christ during the thousand years when Satan is bound. 07:21 That'll be nice when Satan is bound, right? 07:24 The Bible always seems to work through a pattern of six and 07:28 one, six and one, six and one. 07:31 Moses stayed at the foot of the mountain for six days, and then 07:35 God called him up into the clouds on the seventh day. 07:39 The Bible tells us that the Jews would farm their land for six 07:42 years, but the seventh year they let it rest. 07:46 You can read where you can have a Hebrew slave for six years, 07:49 but the seventh year he would go free. 07:52 How many times did Joshua march around the city of Jericho? 07:56 Seven times, it's actually 13 times, another trick question. 08:00 He marched around the city one time for six days, then on the 08:04 seventh day he marched around the city seven times, and they 08:07 blew the trumpets, and the city fell. 08:10 Our Joshua is comin' soon, there's gonna be a shout, 08:12 trumpets are gonna blow, and Jesus is gonna come. 08:15 You know, Jesus's name in Hebrew is Yeshua, same name. 08:20 So it's interesting in the story I read about King Jehoash, it 08:23 says that for six years Athaliah ruled over the land. 08:26 How many days in a week? 08:28 Something interesting. 08:32 I can see why we've got a 24-hour day, it's 'cause that's 08:35 how long it takes the earth to rotate on its axis. 08:38 And while most of the civilizations have a month with 08:40 30 days, that's the lunar cycle, and we got a year with about 365 08:45 days, because that's how long it takes the earth to go around in 08:49 its circuit, but all the world celebrates a seven-day week. 08:53 It's not mathematically practical. 08:55 The only place the world can trace it to is Genesis. 09:00 The Bible tells us a day with the Lord is like a thousand 09:03 years, and a thousand years like a day, 2 Peter chapter 3 verse 09:06 8. 09:08 For 6,000 years, Jesus has been sowing the seed of the gospel. 09:14 That's His own parable. 09:16 He's coming in Revelation to harvest the earth. 09:20 And I guess I'm saying all of these things just to let you 09:23 know, friends, that I believe we're living at the sunset of 09:26 this world's history. 09:27 In our study tonight, I'm going to go through a few things 09:30 with you. 09:31 We're gonna be talking about Jesus coming again, something 09:34 about how He's coming again, because one of the main things 09:38 Jesus tells us is do not be deceived, and then we're gonna 09:41 talk a little bit about the eminence or the nearness of 09:44 His coming. 09:46 First question, who is the king who will soon emerge from this 09:49 temple in heaven that we just described? 09:53 You can read in Revelation 14:14, "Then I looked, and 09:56 behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat one like unto the 10:00 Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown." 10:04 Jesus, the King of kings, is going to be coming again. 10:07 Now, it seems like everybody's talking about how we can create 10:12 a civilization out in space. 10:14 I don't know if you've been watching the news, but just this 10:15 week, Captain Kirk had an out-of-this-world experience. 10:21 You saw that? 10:22 I mean, you gotta admire that. 10:23 Ninety years old, and he went up in this largely-experimental 10:26 rocket ship that Jeff Bezos built. 10:28 I was a little jealous. 10:30 I'd do it if I was given half a chance. 10:32 And everybody's thinking, you know, how can we get out of 10:37 this world? 10:38 You've not only got Jeff Bezos, the owner of Amazon, you've got 10:40 Richard Branson, Elon Musk, all of these private entrepreneurial 10:45 billionaires are working on space programs. 10:49 Musk said he wants to die on Mars. 10:52 And these guys are doing some amazing things. 10:54 They're talkin' about how we can move civilization out, because 10:58 there's so much fear, thinking people are saying the world is 11:01 just not gonna last. 11:03 There's so many problems that are growing exponentially that 11:06 people need to be now thinking about how to get out of here. 11:09 Well, Jesus has planned a way for you to get out of 11:12 here alive. 11:13 I want you to know that. 11:14 Matter of fact, commenting on William Shatner going to space, 11:18 Prince William said, "Repair this planet, not find the 11:22 next one." 11:23 The Duke of Cambridge has suggested wealthy entrepreneurs 11:26 should focus their resources on solving problems on earth rather 11:30 than engaging in a new space race. 11:33 So, these wealthy, thinking people realize that there are 11:36 serious problems in the world unlike anything any other 11:39 generation has ever faced before. 11:42 Now, we're gonna talk in the next few minutes about how Jesus 11:45 is coming, because I'm gonna take my Bible real quick, we've 11:49 been giving a lot of Scripture, but I like to hold the book. 11:51 I want to read something to you, Matthew 24. 11:54 If you have your Bibles, Matthew chapter 24. 11:56 Some of you have a Bible on a device, and look at the first 12:00 verse there. 12:02 "Then Jesus went out and He departed from the temple, and 12:05 His disciples came to Him to show Him the buildings of 12:08 the temple. 12:09 And Jesus said, 'Do you not see all these things? 12:12 Assuredly, I say to you not one stone upon another will be here 12:16 that will not be thrown down.'" 12:18 We went to Israel a couple of years ago, I've been there 12:21 three times now, and they took us on a private tour to show us 12:24 the foundational stones that Solomon used in his temple. 12:28 They've got one stone that is bigger than a fully-loaded 747. 12:33 It's heavier, I should say. 12:35 It's huge, and we don't even know how they cut or moved it. 12:38 So, when Jesus--they looked at these stones, He says, there 12:41 will not be one stone left upon another, the disciples 12:43 were thunderstruck. 12:45 They were horrified. 12:47 And when they got Him alone upon the Mount of Olives, they said, 12:50 "Lord, tell us, when will these things be?" 12:54 This is verse 3, "What will be the signs of Your coming, sign 12:58 of Your coming, and the end of the age?" 13:00 Notice the first thing Jesus tells them when He begins to 13:03 talk about His return, "Take heed that no man deceive you." 13:07 Now, why would Christ say that? 13:09 Except that there's going to be a lot of deception connected 13:11 with His return. 13:13 "Take heed that no one deceives you. 13:15 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am Christ,' and will 13:18 deceive many. 13:19 And you'll hear of wars and rumors of wars. 13:21 See that you're not troubled." 13:22 There have been wars through history. 13:24 "For all these things need to come to pass, the end is 13:26 not yet. 13:28 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against 13:31 kingdom, and there'll be famines, and pestilence." 13:36 We've got a pestilence in the world right now. 13:38 "And earthquakes in various places. 13:41 All these are the beginning of sorrows." 13:44 Global pestilence, beginning of sorrows, "Then they'll deliver 13:49 you up to tribulation to kill you, and you will be hated of 13:52 all nations for My name's sake. 13:54 Then many will be offended and betray one another and will hate 13:58 one another." 13:59 Many false prophets, notice again, "Don't be deceived, many 14:02 false prophets will arise and deceive many." 14:05 The word "many" is contrasted with the word "few." 14:08 It's like the majority are gonna be false prophets. 14:12 It's gonna be a lot of deception regarding his return. 14:15 "Because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will 14:18 grow cold. 14:20 But he that endures to the end will be saved." 14:23 And I want you to be one of those. 14:25 I want to be one of those. What do you say? 14:27 Doug: Friends, in just a moment we're gonna continue with 14:29 today's presentation, but before we do, you know, a lot of folks 14:33 misunderstand how Jesus is coming again. 14:36 There's a lot of confusion about will His return be a secret? 14:39 When is the tribulation taking place? 14:41 And to help clear this up, we have a special free offer 14:44 for you. 14:46 It's a book that I've written called "Anything But Secret." 14:48 This resource is absolutely imperative. 14:51 Jesus warned us there'll be many false Christs and 14:54 false prophets. 14:55 How can you avoid being deceived? 14:56 Filled with Scripture resources, this will bless your heart. 15:00 To get your free copy, call the phone number on your screen and 15:03 ask for offer number 106, or visit the web address. 15:07 And after you read this incredible resource, make sure 15:09 and share it with a friend. 15:11 But let's get back now to today's presentation and learn 15:14 some more amazing facts from the Word of God. 15:18 Doug: When it comes to the return of Christ, there are 15:20 three views in interpreting prophecy. 15:24 One view is called preterism, that basically says that 15:27 everything you read in Revelation basically came to an 15:30 end by 100 A.D. 15:32 The Antichrist was Nero, and they put it all in the past, 15:35 it's all pre. 15:37 Then you've got a historism, which is that the Book of 15:41 Revelation and prophecy covers the panorama of history. 15:44 That's largely our approach, it's actually the most universal 15:48 approach through Christian history. 15:50 Then you've got something called futurism. 15:52 Futurism basically says that everything from Revelation 4 15:56 when the trumpet blows is still future. 16:02 Now, when it comes to the Tribulation, historically 16:06 Christians believed he that endures to the end, 16:08 endures what? 16:09 That there's gonna be time of trouble such as there never 16:11 has been. 16:12 We're here, but God saves us out of that. 16:14 Let's find out what the Bible says about how He's coming. 16:17 Because when Jesus came the first time, did His own people, 16:23 with the Scriptures, have the right interpretation? 16:28 Did they recognize Jesus when He came? 16:30 Now, I mentioned I'm Jewish, so I'm not tryin' to disparage my 16:34 Jewish family at all, but the Jews who had the Bible, they 16:37 were looking for the Messiah to come as a conquering king, wipe 16:40 out the Romans, make them a world empire again. 16:43 And when Jesus came as a lamb, they said, "We don't want that, 16:47 we want someone who's gonna come in and give us world power and 16:50 get rid of our oppressors," and they had misunderstood 16:53 the prophecies. 16:54 They switched the prophecies of Christ's coming quietly as a 16:59 lamb, meekly, with the ones of His coming like a lion in the 17:02 second coming, and they weren't ready. 17:05 Now the devil is doing the same thing. 17:08 He's got Jesus coming quietly when He's coming like a lion. 17:13 Let's find out what the Bible says. 17:14 Now, if we disagree, there's still a lot of things in the 17:17 program I think you're gonna find beneficial, but you owe it 17:19 to yourself to at least study these things. 17:22 Let's find out why historically Christians believe Christ's 17:24 coming was gonna be a loud event, and that He's gonna 17:28 deliver us through tribulation. 17:30 Will Jesus come quietly when He returns? 17:33 "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a 17:35 shout, with a voice of the archangel, with a trumpet 17:39 of God." 17:40 These are loud things. 17:42 Again, Jeremiah 25:30, "The Lord will roar from on high. 17:46 He will utter his voice from His holy habitation. 17:48 He will roar mightily against His fold. 17:51 He will give a shout." 17:52 The Bible says a trumpet, a roar, a shout, it's audible. 17:57 What else do we learn? 17:58 "Our God shall come and shall not keep silent." 18:01 Now, we all agree saints are gonna be caught up, but I don't 18:04 believe it's a secret. 18:05 "He shall not keep silent. 18:07 Behold, it will be very tempestuous all around Him," 18:10 Psalm 50 verse 3. 18:12 Pastor Doug, what about that verse where it 18:14 says Jesus comes like a thief? 18:16 Absolutely, let's read it together. 18:18 Some people quote part of it, they don't read the whole thing. 18:21 "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night." 18:25 What happens on that day when he comes like a thief? 18:27 Is it quiet? 18:28 "In which the heavens pass away with a great noise and the 18:32 elements melt with fervent heat, both the earth and the works 18:36 that are in it are burned up." 18:37 So, when Jesus comes like a thief, does it sound like 18:40 there's still life going on here on earth? 18:43 If you read that, it says the earth and the things in it are 18:45 burned up. 18:47 What other physical evidence will accompany Jesus's return? 18:51 Well, things are not only happening audibly, but it's 18:54 gonna be tactile. 18:55 You can read, it says, "And there was a great earthquake, 18:58 such a mighty earthquake and a great earthquake as had not 19:01 occurred since men were upon the earth." 19:04 It's something where the whole world is shaking when Jesus 19:06 comes, that's Revelation 16, verse 18. 19:09 There was a earthquake we felt in Sacramento a couple 19:13 months ago. 19:15 Yeah, some people--I was out of town when it happened, and some 19:18 of my friends, and we had an earthquake. 19:21 I remember I was giving a Bible study up in the Redwoods at a 19:25 Christian camp, and all of a sudden, I heard the teenagers 19:30 screaming, they were on the volleyball court, and I looked 19:33 out, and all the cars in the parking lot were bouncing, and 19:35 then I realized my feet, rolling under my feet, and the trailers 19:39 were all bouncing. 19:40 They had a pretty significant earthquake. 19:42 And I thought, "Oh, Lord, is this it?" 19:47 You know, when the ground starts moving under your feet, and I 19:51 thought, "Well, if it is, I'm glad I'm giving a Bible study 19:53 right now." 19:55 Hope that happens when it does. 19:58 So, we're used to earthquakes in California. 20:00 Our friends that are watching, not so much maybe. 20:05 Who will see Jesus when He returns? 20:08 Is it gonna be just a couple of people? 20:09 What's the Bible say? 20:10 Matthew 24, Jesus tells us, "Then the sign of the Son of Man 20:14 will appear in the heavens, and then all the tribes of the earth 20:19 will mourn and they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds 20:22 of heaven with power and great glory." 20:26 It says he's coming in the clouds. 20:27 We'll talk about what those clouds are in a minute. 20:29 "Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will 20:33 see Him." 20:34 Now, someone's gonna ask the question, "Pastor Doug, if 20:39 Jesus's coming is gonna be, you know, we've got a round world, 20:44 how is every eye gonna see Him on a round world?" 20:47 Well, it doesn't say they see Him simultaneously. 20:49 You know, as He comes, the Bible says we're caught up to meet Him 20:52 in the air as He sweeps around the circle of the earth. 20:55 The saints are caught up, everybody alive will see Him 20:57 that day. 20:59 That's all that's saying. 21:00 It's not gonna be an event where someone says, "Did you catch it? 21:02 Jesus came last night. 21:04 I got it, yeah, I made a Facebook live of the whole thing 21:06 and you missed it." 21:07 Everybody's gonna know when Jesus comes. 21:09 Every eye will see Him. 21:11 Who will be with Jesus when He returns? 21:13 This further emphasizes that it's going to be a 21:16 vivacious event. 21:19 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the," 21:22 how many? 21:23 "All the holy angels." 21:26 Well, if everybody's got a guardian angel, and now there 21:28 are nearly 8 billion people in the world, the Bible tells us 21:31 that one angel rolled away the stone at the tomb when Jesus 21:35 rose, and so scared the Roman guard they fell down as though 21:38 they were dead, one angel came from the Lord and 185,000 21:43 Syrians were killed in one night. 21:45 Can you imagine the heavens being filled with the glory of 21:47 all the holy angels, and God, the Son himself, and Christ said 21:51 He's coming in the glory of the Father? 21:54 That's gonna be an event that is going to be very visual. 21:58 What will the brightness of Jesus's coming do to the 22:01 living wicked? 22:02 Now, we got people who are lost, we got people who are saved, 22:04 there's no third category, you know that. 22:06 I hope you're in the right category. 22:08 What happens to the wicked when Jesus comes? 22:11 "When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty 22:15 angels in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who know 22:20 not God." 22:21 That's 2 Thessalonians chapter 1 verse 7 and 8, He's coming with 22:25 His mighty angels, and the wicked are destroyed by the 22:28 brightness of His coming. 22:30 This is the verse I just gave you, 2 Thessalonians 2 verse 8, 22:34 "Then that lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will 22:37 consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the 22:40 brightness of His coming." 22:41 It's gonna be so bright. 22:44 You know, you've probably gone on a date, and you've tipped 22:51 over a stone or log, and you see all the little bugs that were 22:53 kinda hiding. 22:54 As soon as they see the light, they crawl away. 22:58 And then you've got a moth on dark night, the moth comes to 23:02 the light. 23:04 You've got both categories when it comes to the second coming. 23:06 You've got one group that's going to say, "This is our God. 23:08 We've waited for Him and He will save us." 23:11 They come to the light, and the others are gonna run from the 23:14 light, so you just need to decide if you're a cockroach or 23:17 a butterfly. 23:18 But everybody's gonna do one of the two things when Jesus comes. 23:22 What will happen to the righteous who are dead at 23:24 Jesus's coming? 23:26 So, we've got righteous who are alive, but then there's saved 23:28 people who are dead. 23:30 Listen to what it says. 23:31 "The dead in Christ rise first," 1 Thessalonians 4:6. 23:35 There's a resurrection that takes place, another 23:38 stupendous event. 23:39 At this point, what will happen to the living and the 23:43 resurrected saints? 23:44 So, those who are saved, that have been resurrected, then 23:46 those who are alive, and you know, wouldn't it be wonderful 23:49 to be in that group when Jesus comes where you don't ever have 23:51 to die? 23:53 Now, as long as I'm saved, whatever the Lord wants is okay, 23:56 but it's like Woody Allen said, "I'm not afraid of death, I just 23:59 don't wanna be there when it happens." 24:02 But you know, I think I'd prefer to skip it and just ask someone 24:06 else what it was like. 24:08 But you know, God wires us to live. 24:10 What's gonna happen? 24:11 The good news in the Bible, "The dead will be raised 24:14 incorruptible, and we who are alive will be changed," 24:17 or transformed. 24:18 "For this corruptible," these bodies that get old and die, 24:22 "Must put on incorruption." 24:23 We get glorified bodies in a moment, in the twinkling of 24:25 an eye. 24:27 "This mortal puts on immortality," and that's 1 24:29 Corinthians 15 verse 52 and 53. 24:33 After being changed, what happens to the righteous? 24:37 So, this is the good news, 1 Thessalonians 4:17. 24:42 "Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up 24:45 together with them," who's the them? 24:47 The dead who are resurrected. 24:49 "Will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the 24:52 Lord in the air, and thus we will always be with the Lord." 24:55 By the way, those clouds are clouds of angels. 25:00 In Acts chapter 1, when Jesus ascended to heaven, the 25:03 disciples stood there looking, gazing up into the heavens. 25:06 It says He was received up into the clouds, and suddenly, they 25:09 look and there's two men standing there, and they said to 25:11 them, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand here gazing into 25:14 the heavens? 25:15 This same Jesus that you have seen go from you into heaven 25:18 will come in the same way that He was gone." 25:21 When He came, He was real, when He ascended, He was real, when 25:25 He comes back, He's going to be real. 25:27 He was visible, He will be visible again. 25:29 And He left with the angels, He's coming with the angels. 25:34 So, as we're talking about these verses, and there's many more 25:38 you'll see in your lesson, we've seen that the coming of Christ 25:42 is a literal event. 25:44 It's personal, it's visible, it's audible, it's physical, 25:50 it's vitalizing, it's glorious, it's climatic. 25:53 It's like the crescendo of history is when Jesus comes. 25:57 And so, I don't think you're gonna have to flip through the 26:00 channels and find out if He came yesterday. 26:03 So, it's gonna be a very real event. 26:11 announcer: Don't forget to request today's life-changing 26:13 free resource. 26:15 Not only can you receive this free gift in the mail, you can 26:17 download a digital copy straight to your computer or 26:20 mobile device. 26:21 To get your digital copy of today's free gift, simply text 26:24 the keyword on your screen to 40544, or visit the web address 26:29 shown on your screen, and be sure to select the digital 26:32 download option on the request page. 26:34 It's now easier than ever for you to study God's Word with 26:37 "Amazing Facts" wherever and whenever you want, and most 26:41 important, to share it with others. 26:44 announcer: You can become a Bible expert with the "Amazing 26:47 Facts Storacles of Prophecy Bible Study Experience." 26:51 Now available in 18 languages, these 24 easy-to-read lessons 26:55 will give you confidence about what the Bible actually says 26:58 about the Second Coming, the Rapture, the Antichrist, and the 27:02 mark of the beast. 27:03 You'll also get the truth about hell and the afterlife, and 27:07 practical insight about grace, salvation, and how to truly live 27:11 like Jesus. 27:13 Even better, it's absolutely free at Storacles.com. 27:17 So don't miss out, get started on your Bible study adventure 27:21 today at Storacles.com. 27:27 announcer: Can't get enough "Amazing Facts" Bible study?
