00:01 - [Announcer] This presentation is brought to you
00:03 by the friends of the Amazing Facts ministry. 00:08 - We've all heard of atomic clocks. 00:10 Invented about 75 years ago, 00:13 these time pieces are incredibly accurate. 00:15 For example, the celsium fountain clock 00:18 located in Boulder, Colorado, 00:20 which is responsible for official timekeeping in the USA, 00:23 will only lose or gain less than a second 00:27 in over a 100 million year span. 00:30 You can even buy a real atomic clock of your own 00:32 if you've got a few thousand dollars lying around. 00:35 I don't know why, but now engineers have even developed 00:38 a more accurate timekeeping apparatus, 00:40 the optical lattice clock. 00:42 It involves trapping cooled atoms within an optical lattice, 00:46 resulting in such precision, it takes 15 billion years 00:50 to lose a single second. 00:52 Did you know we can find amazing time accuracy 00:55 in the spiritual realm, as well? 00:57 For example, the Bible's longest time prophecy 01:00 predicted the exact time the Messiah would appear, 01:03 and when he would die for our sins and ascend to heaven, 01:05 where he now intercedes as our high priest. 01:08 So join me now as we explore this fascinating topic. 01:12 (bright inspiring music) 01:16 There is a prophecy that you'll find, 01:18 there's actually a couple of prophecies, 01:20 in Daniel chapter eight and Daniel chapter nine. 01:24 We're going to be looking at the longest time prophecy 01:27 in the Bible tonight. 01:28 And I wanna remind you, this is so important 01:31 because it tells us the antichrist power 01:33 is gonna be sitting in the temple of God, 01:36 showing himself he is God, and much of the world 01:38 has been confused about what is that temple 01:41 that the antichrist power sits over. 01:44 A magician uses something called 01:46 slight of hand and diversion. 01:48 And what he'll do is they direct your attention over here, 01:53 and they're just so good at getting people to focus 01:55 on something here that nobody's paying attention 01:57 to what's happening in their other hand or in another spot. 02:00 They always get you to focus on something 02:01 they want you to focus on. 02:03 The devil's got a lot of the world 02:04 focusing on a distraction, 02:07 and they're missing what's really going on 02:09 right under their noses. 02:11 And we'll be unveiling more of that 02:13 in this seminar as we proceed. 02:15 And this leads us into our study for tonight, 02:17 which is called Cleansing the Sanctuary. 02:21 Here you go. 02:22 All right, everyone awake? 02:24 One of the most important prophecies in the Bible. 02:26 When I first understood this, 02:27 I literally jumped up and down. 02:29 I'll try not to do that tonight. 02:31 "70 weeks are determined for your people." 02:33 Who are Daniel's people? 02:35 - [Congregant] The Jews. 02:36 - The Jews. 02:38 And for the holy city, about 70 weeks, 02:42 how many days in a week? 02:43 - Seven. - Seven days in a week. 02:45 70 weeks is how many days? 02:47 - [Congregation] 490. 02:48 - 70 times seven, 490. 02:51 Did Peter once say, 02:53 "Jesus, how often shall I forgive my brother, seven times?" 02:55 And Jesus said, "Not seven times, but 70 times seven." 02:59 How much longer was God gonna bear with the Jewish nation 03:02 to fulfill their destiny? 03:03 Their destiny was to introduce the Messiah to the world. 03:07 That's what happens in this book. 03:09 "For the people, for your holy city, 03:11 "to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, 03:16 "to make reconciliation for iniquity." 03:18 Lots happening here. 03:19 "To bring in everlasting righteousness." 03:21 This is the mission of Jesus. 03:23 "To seal up the vision." 03:24 To complete the vision that we study. 03:26 "To anoint the Most Holy." 03:29 Who is the Most Holy that was anointed? 03:32 - [All] Jesus. 03:32 - This prophecy's telling us 03:34 when Christ would begin his ministry and be anointed 03:36 with the Holy Spirit. 03:37 The word Christ, Christos, 03:39 you've heard of christening a ship, it's anointing. 03:42 The word in Hebrew is Messiah, they both mean anointing. 03:45 It means he was filled and flooded 03:47 and saturated with the Holy Spirit. 03:49 God in man is what you have in Jesus. 03:53 It says 70 weeks. 03:54 So the overall prophecy is 70 weeks. 03:57 A day in prophecy equals what? 03:59 - [Congregation] A year. 04:01 - A year, we'll give you the verses on that 04:02 in just a moment. 04:03 "Know therefore and understand." 04:05 I'm in verse 25. 04:07 "That from the going forth of the command," 04:09 here's the starting point for the vision, 04:11 "from the going forth of the command 04:13 "to restore and build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince, 04:16 "there will be seven weeks and 62 weeks." 04:21 That's a total of 69. 04:23 "And the street will be built again, 04:24 "and the wall, even in troublesome times." 04:26 He's foretelling what happened in the days 04:28 of Ezra and Nehemiah when they were rebuilding the temple 04:31 and the streets and the walls. 04:34 "And after the 62 weeks," and after this time period, 04:37 it says, "the Messiah is cut off, but not for himself." 04:42 Messiah was cut off for who? 04:44 For you and me. 04:46 "And the people of the prince who will come 04:48 "shall destroy the city and the sanctuary." 04:50 He's talking about when the Romans came. 04:52 This next power was the Romans, 04:54 and they would destroy Jerusalem and the temple. 04:57 This broke Daniel's heart. 04:58 And the end will be with a flood, 05:00 meaning a lot of people or armies would sweep over. 05:03 "Until the end of the war desolations are determined." 05:07 Going back to Messiah in verse 27, 05:10 "He will confirm the covenant with many for one week, 05:13 "but in the middle of the week, 05:14 "he will bring an end to sacrifice and offerings." 05:18 Who caused the sacrifice and the offering to cease? 05:21 When Jesus died on the cross 05:23 and the veil was rent in the temple, 05:25 do we sacrifice lambs anymore? 05:27 The Jews don't even sacrifice lambs anymore. 05:30 "And on the wing of abomination 05:32 "shall one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, 05:36 "which is determined, shall be poured out on the desolate." 05:38 So you got the abomination of desolation identified here, 05:40 you've got the coming of the Messiah. 05:42 I'm gonna give it to you again, if that was fast. 05:45 "At the beginning of your supplications 05:47 "the command went out, and I've come to tell you." 05:50 So the angel comes to explain this vision 05:52 in Daniel chapter nine, 05:54 and it's going on with the vision of Daniel chapter eight. 05:57 What was the starting point for the 2,300-day 06:01 and the 70-week time prophecies? 06:03 We've got two prophecies that overlay each other, 06:05 they got one starting period given in both chapters. 06:09 It says, "Know therefore and understand." 06:12 This is Daniel 9:25. 06:13 "From the going forth of the commandment 06:16 "to restore and build Jerusalem. 06:18 "Until the Messiah the Prince, 06:20 "there will be seven weeks and 62 weeks." 06:24 So, you got a starting point. 06:26 How in the world are we gonna find in history 06:28 the starting point for this command 06:29 to restore and build Jerusalem? 06:31 In Ezra chapter seven, the decree of King Artaxerxes, 06:35 the Persian king, is given, 06:37 and it's a very easily established date in history, 06:40 it is 457 BC. 06:43 So here's our starting point, 06:44 but we've got to just reiterate, when it says 490 days, 06:50 in prophecy a day is a year. 06:53 You can look here in Ezekiel 4:6, 06:55 "I have laid on you a day for each year." 06:59 Numbers 14:34, "Each day for a year." 07:03 Another prophecy in Luke chapter 13. 07:06 The enemies of Jesus came and said, 07:07 "King Herod, he's killed John the Baptist, 07:09 "you better be careful, you might be next." 07:11 Jesus said, "Go tell that fox, I teach, do cures. 07:17 "cast out devils today, tomorrow, 07:20 "and the third day I will be completed or perfected." 07:24 Jesus made that statement about six months in his ministry 07:26 when John the Baptist was killed, 07:28 he did not preach for three more days, 07:30 he preached for three more years. 07:32 Even Jesus used the day for the year principle 07:35 in his prophecy. 07:37 So don't be thinking literal days 07:39 because nothing significant happened 2,300 days 07:42 after Daniel got this prophecy. 07:45 The angel said that if you were to count 69 weeks 07:49 from 457 BC, you would come to the Messiah the Prince. 07:55 Does it happen? 07:56 Look at this, you can read in Acts 10:37, 08:00 "That the word you know, after the baptism, 08:04 "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit 08:08 "and with power." 08:09 Who went about doing good and healing, 08:11 all who were oppressed of the devil, Jesus was anointed. 08:14 You remember when he was baptized 08:16 and he came up out of the water and the heavens were open. 08:19 The Holy Spirit came down like a dove. 08:22 Christ does no miracle before his baptism, nothing recorded. 08:26 And he begins his public ministry, from that point on. 08:30 Meets with the devil in the wilderness and defeats him 08:33 and Jesus then taught for three and a half years. 08:36 Here's a chart, and then there's a ton of stuff 08:38 that you're gonna see on the screen up here. 08:40 So if you go from 457 BC, go 483 years, it comes to AD 27 08:48 the very time when Jesus was baptized 08:51 and anointed with the Holy Spirit and he began his ministry, 08:55 but we haven't gotten the whole 490 yet, 08:57 we just get the beginning of that 483 years. 09:02 There's still one week left. 09:04 It says in the midst of that last week, 09:06 he causes the sacrifice to cease. 09:09 Jesus preaches for three and a half years, 09:11 he dies on the cross, the veil in the temple is rent, 09:15 he causes the sacrificial system to be fulfilled in him. 09:19 That's all nailed to the cross. 09:21 Well, why is there another three and a half years? 09:24 All right, go with me in your Bibles 09:26 to the book of Acts chapter seven, Acts chapter seven. 09:32 Not only did Jesus preach three and a half years, 09:34 Jesus then exclusively preached three and a half years 09:37 to the Jewish nation. 09:39 And here we're gonna find the story where Stephen is stoned. 09:43 Go to verse 57. 09:45 After Stephen presents the gospel 09:47 to the Jewish Supreme court, the Sanhedrin, 09:50 he says that we've crucified our savior. 09:55 They plug their ears, they don't wanna hear it. 09:57 They gnash their teeth, they run upon him. 10:00 What does it mean? 10:01 If a Supreme Court of a nation plugs their ears? 10:03 It's not good for the nation. 10:05 They cried out with a loud voice, they stopped their ears, 10:08 they ranted him with one accord, 10:09 they cast him out of the city and they stoned him. 10:12 Jesus was brought out of the city, 10:13 he prayed for the forgiveness of those that executed him, 10:17 just like Stephen. 10:18 It says that they laid their clothes 10:20 at the feet of a young man named Saul, 10:22 tells us that they divided Jesus' clothing. 10:24 The same thing that happened to Jesus, 10:26 happens to the first Christian martyr, Stephen, 10:29 three and a half years later, Stephen dies. 10:33 And Paul is there at the execution, Paul is converted, 10:37 he becomes the apostle to the Gentiles. 10:40 Now the gospel goes to everybody. 10:42 You realize until the stoning of Stephen, 10:44 the apostles were only preaching to Jews. 10:47 This is in the lesson here. 10:48 I'm gonna give you some revision of that again, 10:50 to help remember it. 10:52 483 years, plus 457 goes to AD 26, but keep in mind, 10:58 there's still one more year you add 10:59 between the year 1 BC and 1 AD, 11:02 there is no year zero, that adds up to 27 AD. 11:06 This is when Jesus was baptized. 11:08 What was to take place next in the prophecy? 11:11 After the 62 weeks, you got the seven weeks 11:15 and the 62 weeks, that's 69, Messiah would be cut off. 11:21 Can that be misunderstood? 11:22 Messiah is who? 11:24 - Jesus. - Jesus. 11:25 In his prime, the average person lives 11:28 three score and 10 years, Jesus died 33 and a half. 11:31 In his prime, he lays down his life 11:34 in his best for you and me. 11:37 "He'll confirm the covenant with many for one week; 11:40 "but in the middle of the week, 11:42 "he'll bring to end the sacrifice and the offering." 11:47 Now friends, this is a verse that we can't get wrong. 11:53 Let me just tell you, I've got a lot of evangelical friends, 11:54 they say the one who confirms the covenant 11:56 is the anti-Christ. 11:59 I'm telling you, and a lot of other Protestant scholars 12:01 are saying, it's not the anti-Christ, it is Jesus. 12:04 Where in the Bible do you find 12:06 that the anti-Christ makes a covenant with anybody? 12:10 There's no salvation covenant. 12:12 Does God have a covenant with his people? 12:13 - [Congregation] Yes. 12:14 - Did Jesus come to confirm that covenant? 12:16 - [Congregation] Yes. 12:17 - He is the fulfillment of the covenant 12:19 God made with Abraham that through his seed, 12:21 all the nations would be blessed. 12:23 The covenant of salvation by faith is confirmed 12:25 through Jesus for three and a half years, 12:27 half of a week in the midst of that last seven, he dies. 12:31 Well, but how does he continue to confirm the covenant 12:34 after he's died? 12:36 Good question, it's in the Bible. 12:38 Look in Hebrews chapter two, 12:43 you go to Hebrews chapter two. 12:46 "How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, 12:50 "which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord," 12:54 first three and a half, "and was confirmed." 12:58 The covenant was confirmed through Jesus. 13:00 "And was confirmed to us by those who heard him." 13:03 For another three and a half years, 13:05 he confirmed the covenant just to the Jews, 13:08 through the apostles. 13:09 Christ said to the apostles, 13:10 "As the father has sent me, so I send you, 13:12 "you need to complete the work that I've started. 13:16 "And even though the Jewish nation 13:17 "has officially rejected me, I am long suffering, merciful, 13:20 "I want you to continue to preach the gospel to the Jews." 13:23 And many were converted. 13:25 When 3,000 were converted at Pentecost, 13:27 what was their religion? 13:29 Jewish, they were devout Jews 13:31 out of every nation under heaven. 13:33 5,000 converted a few days later, what were they? 13:36 Jews, the Bible tells us in Acts, many of the priests, 13:39 even Pharisees and Sadducees, 13:41 people like Nicodemus and Joseph were converted. 13:45 He said, "I'm gonna give you first chance." 13:47 The gospel comes, it says to the Jew first 13:50 and also to the Gentile. 13:52 And so he confirmed the covenant for that last seven years 13:55 of the 490 years with the Jewish nation. 13:58 (bright inspiring music) 13:59 Don't go anywhere friends, in just a moment 14:01 we'll return for the rest of today's presentation. 14:04 Believe it or not, 14:05 understanding the ancient Hebrew sanctuary 14:08 can give you a better grasp of the plan of salvation 14:11 while also providing a deeper understanding 14:13 of how he can break the power of sin in your life 14:16 and bring you ultimate healing and victory. 14:18 We have a compelling, free resource 14:20 we'd like to share with you that explains Jesus' 14:23 ongoing ministry for us in the heavenly temple. 14:26 I think you're gonna find it to be a blessing 14:28 that will strengthen your faith 14:29 and give you hope for the future. 14:31 To get your free copy, call the phone number on your screen 14:34 and ask for offer number 130, or visit the web address. 14:38 And after you read this incredible resource, 14:41 make sure and share it with a friend. 14:42 Well, let's get back to today's program 14:45 and learn more amazing facts from the word of God. 14:49 In the middle of that last seven years, 14:51 Christ dies on the cross, he causes a sacrifice to cease. 14:55 You remember where it says, 14:56 the veil in the temple was ripped from top to bottom? 14:59 On the Passover, no less. 15:01 The real Passover lamb was dying on the cross, 15:03 outside the city. 15:05 Now, even after Jesus died and ascended to heaven, 15:08 the Jews tried to revamp the sacrificial system, 15:10 but I'll tell you, after that event there in AD 31, 15:14 nothing was ever the same. 15:15 And people who are looking for the Jews 15:18 to rebuild the temple today, 15:20 I hear Christians and evangelicals talking about it, 15:22 but you talk to Jews, I don't meet Jews anywhere. 15:25 Like I said, I come from a Jewish family. 15:28 They're not talking about rebuilding the temple. 15:30 I don't know any Jews anywhere that are saying, 15:32 I wish we could start sacrificing lambs again. 15:35 I wish we could build the temple 15:36 to house the 10 commandments 15:38 and we don't know where they are. 15:40 There might be a few ultra-orthodox Jews 15:42 that are saying that, but that's not the temple 15:44 that needed cleansing, it's us now. 15:47 Jesus already took care of that a long time ago 15:49 in the other temple, 15:51 "Because the veil is taken away in Christ." 15:53 That veil that separated the holy place 15:55 from the most holy place, now through faith, 15:57 you and I can boldly go before the father through Jesus. 16:00 We have a high priest in his presence, Amen. 16:03 - [Congregation] Amen. 16:04 - Jesus told his disciples to preach first 16:06 to which group of people? 16:08 This is review of what I just read. 16:11 "Do not go in the way of the Gentiles, 16:13 "but go rather," where? 16:15 To the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 16:18 I mean, I thought Jesus wanted them to go everywhere to... 16:21 No, no, he said, don't go everywhere yet. 16:23 The Jews have the first opportunity 16:25 'cause they've got the whole foundation in the scriptures. 16:27 And if you can convert the Jews 16:29 and then send them out as evangelists, 16:31 then you'll really reach people, but first reach them. 16:34 What warning did Jesus give to his chosen people? 16:38 "The kingdom of God will be taken from you 16:41 "and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it." 16:43 Remember Jesus cursed a fig tree 16:45 because it didn't bear fruit. 16:47 It was kind of like the Jewish nation at that time 16:49 where they had all the trappings of religion, 16:51 but they didn't have the fruits of the spirit. 16:54 And Jesus cursed that fig tree and said, 16:55 "No man will ever eat fruit from you again." 16:58 So now the blessings were to go to whosoever will. 17:03 Everyone really becomes a spiritual Jew 17:05 when we accept Christ. 17:07 So what is this other nation spoken of by Jesus, 17:10 which would become his chosen people? 17:13 Now God still has a heart for the Jews, don't misunderstand, 17:17 but the Bible is clear, in Christ now, 17:19 Galatians tells us there is neither Jew or Gentile, 17:23 slave or free, male or female, we are all one in Christ. 17:30 Christ is not restricting it, 17:31 he's expanding the promises that he gave Abraham and Isaac 17:34 and Jacob to everybody. 17:36 That's why Jesus said many will come from the east 17:38 and the west and sit down in the kingdom with Abraham, 17:40 Isaac and Jacob, and some of the natural kingdom, 17:43 children of the kingdom will be in outer darkness. 17:46 We can't be trusting our DNA for salvation, 17:50 it's based on faith. 17:51 "And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed." 17:55 Now how many of you would say, I am Christ's? 17:58 Have you accepted Jesus? 17:59 Shalom, you become a spiritual Jew. 18:02 The Gentiles are grafted into the stalk of Israel. 18:05 There is no new covenant made with Gentiles, 18:07 it is made with the house of Israel. 18:09 We become at least spiritual Jews, when we accept Jesus. 18:13 "For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly," 18:15 Romans 2:28, "but he is a Jew who is one inwardly." 18:19 It's not physical circumcision, 18:21 it's circumcision of the heart now. 18:23 So let's review the 490 year prophecy very quickly. 18:27 You go from 457 to 27 AD, Jesus is baptized 18:33 and that's the first 483 years that we saw. 18:36 Then you go three and a half years from Christ's ministry, 18:40 he dies on the cross. 18:42 He tells the disciples, 18:43 "Wait for the outpouring of the spirit, 18:44 "and when you're filled with the spirit, 18:45 "do not go to the Gentiles, begin in Jerusalem and Judea, 18:50 "then go to Samaria and the uttermost parts of the earth." 18:53 And that's exactly what they did. 18:54 They preach first to the lost of the house of Israel. 18:57 He confirmed the covenant in person 18:59 for three and a half years, 19:00 then he did the last three and a half 19:01 through those who walked with him. 19:03 And even the enemies of the apostle said, 19:05 "We can tell they had been with Jesus." 19:08 They'd spent so much time with Jesus, 19:09 they sounded and acted like Christ. 19:13 This is the full 490 year prophecy. 19:14 You know what this means? 19:16 Christ came right on time, as Daniel foretold, 19:20 he did exactly what he said, 19:22 that what happened with the nations happened exactly. 19:25 This is what made me jump up and down years ago in the cave 19:28 when I read this in my Bible, I thought that means, 19:30 he said, "I'm coming again." 19:32 He's gonna come again just like he promised too, Amen. 19:34 - [Congregation] Amen. 19:35 - The time prophecies in the Bible never fail. 19:37 This has stumped the critics. 19:39 At the end, 34 AD, Stephen is stoned, 19:42 Paul is converted. 19:44 The gospel, it says, "A persecution arose in Jerusalem, 19:46 "scattering the disciples everywhere, 19:48 "preaching the gospel to Jew and Gentile." 19:51 And that happens in chapter nine Paul is converted, 19:54 in chapter 10 Peter preaches to the first Gentiles 19:58 at the house of Cornelius in Caesarea. 20:01 And so all of it happened exactly 20:04 as Daniel said in his prophecy. 20:06 According to the angel who spoke with Daniel, 20:09 what would happen at the end of the 2,300 years? 20:12 Oh, that's right, Doug, we started out in Daniel 8, 20:15 said the sanctuary would not be cleansed for 2,300 years. 20:20 What's talking about there? 20:22 "For 2,300 days," and a day is what? 20:25 A year, "Then the sanctuary will be cleansed." 20:29 So if you go from 457 and you go 2,300 years, 20:35 that comes to when? 20:38 1844, that was a very interesting year in history. 20:42 I had a whole list of things that happened in 1844. 20:44 I do remember the first electronic message, 20:47 the first text was in 1844. 20:50 You've heard of Samuel Morris, 20:52 he sent the first Morse code message. 20:54 You know what it was? 20:55 Scripture, "What hath God wrought?" 20:58 Very interesting, that changed communications of the world. 21:02 Whose cases are being considered 21:03 in this pre-advent judgment? 21:05 You realize that some judgment takes place 21:07 before Jesus comes. 21:10 Follow me. 21:12 When Jesus comes, is he giving rewards? 21:13 Does he know who's saved and lost? 21:16 The Bible says he'll come and reward every man, 21:18 according to his works. 21:20 Does it make sense to you that some judgment must take place 21:23 before he comes? 21:24 "Judgment must begin at the house of God." 21:27 And if it begin at us, 21:29 what is the end of those that obey not the gospel? 21:32 What will be examined in this first phase of the judgment? 21:35 "The dead were judged according to their works, 21:37 "by the things that are written in the books." 21:40 Goes on and says, in Ecclesiastes 12:14, 21:43 "God will bring every work into judgment, 21:45 "including every secret thing." 21:48 And then finally, what's the criteria in that judgment? 21:52 "Who will be judged by the law of Liberty." 21:55 So before the Lord comes, 21:59 there's gonna be a revival of truth. 22:02 God is gonna be cleansing his sanctuary. 22:04 There's a cleansing of the sanctuary in heaven. 22:07 All through the ages, people have said they're Christians, 22:09 but the books are gonna be opened before Christ comes 22:12 and evaluate who were truly genuinely converted. 22:17 Talks about this judgment in Daniel chapter seven, 22:20 when the books are open, the ancient of days is there, 22:23 it's all portrayed in the Bible. 22:25 There's also a cleansing of the sanctuary on earth. 22:27 How many sanctuaries are there? 22:29 Two, what's a sanctuary on earth? 22:32 You are the temple of God. 22:34 What did the sanctuary on earth need cleansing from? 22:37 The truth was tasked to the ground. 22:40 In 1844, God began a movement where the Bible truths 22:44 that had been lost on a number of subjects, 22:46 salvation by faith, that you're not supposed to pray 22:48 to idols, the Sabbath truth, and many other things, 22:51 a restoration began to take place. 22:54 And that movement right now is spreading around the world, 22:57 it's one of the fastest growing Protestant groups 22:58 in the world today. 23:00 And in this cleansing, 23:02 is God done cleansing his church on earth? 23:05 - [Congregation] No. 23:06 - No, he'd be here if he was. 23:07 When Michael stands up, when a judge stands up, 23:09 it means case is closed, he issues decree. 23:13 When Michael stands up 23:14 and this great time of trouble comes, it's over. 23:17 He's still cleansing the sanctuary in heaven, 23:20 he's still cleansing the sanctuary on earth. 23:22 You wanna be part of that group, 23:24 you wanna be part of that sanctuary, his people, 23:27 those living stones in the last days. 23:29 Who is my accuser in this final judgment? 23:33 "That serpent of old, called the devil 23:36 "was cast down to the earth." 23:38 The Bible says, "He is the accuser of the brethren 23:41 "who accused them before our God day and night." 23:44 The devil is there perpetually accusing. 23:48 He tries to point out our sins. 23:49 You can see him in the book of Job, he's accusing Job. 23:51 And you can see in the book of Zachariah, 23:53 he's accusing Zachariah or Joshua, the high priest. 23:58 And you think the devil, he's got all the goods. 23:59 The devil will tempt you to sin, 24:01 and then he'll turn you in for sinning. 24:03 So how can we survive this judgment 24:05 when the devil's got all this evidence against us? 24:07 He's the prosecuting attorney. 24:10 Good thing is you've got a great defense attorney, 24:13 that's Jesus. 24:15 Must I stand alone in this pre-advent judgment? 24:19 No, the Bible promises John 2:1, 24:23 "And if anyone sins, we have an advocate with the father, 24:27 "Jesus Christ the righteous." 24:29 First on two verse one, "My little children, 24:32 "these things are right to you so that you may not sin. 24:35 "And if anyone sins, we have an advocate with the father, 24:38 "Jesus Christ the righteous." 24:41 In the Jewish year, all year long, 24:43 the high priest went through the daily sacrifices. 24:46 Now when Christ first ascended to heaven, 24:47 he went into the Holy of Holies, he was enthroned, 24:50 he activated the heavenly sanctuary. 24:53 He was coronated, you might say, received his kingdom, 24:56 at least in heavenly his ministry was approved, 24:59 then he began his work as our high priest. 25:02 But in the Jewish economy at the end of the year, 25:06 the high priest went into the Holy of Holies 25:10 to do a cleansing process, 25:11 to cleanse the people from their sins permanently. 25:14 When Christ comes again, the Bible says, 25:16 "He is coming without sin unto salvation." 25:21 Is Jesus gonna be burying our sins forever? 25:24 At some point, is sin gonna be eradicated from the universe? 25:29 Revelation's very clear, there'll be no more sin, 25:31 no more death, no more sorrow, no more pain 25:34 and Christ says, the books are being evaluated. 25:38 You read in Ezekiel chapter nine, 25:40 it talks about this in judgment. 25:42 And it says, "Begin with the ancient men 25:43 "before the sanctuary." 25:45 A judgment in the house of God. 25:47 There's gonna be a cleansing of God's people. 25:49 When Jesus went into that sanctuary with his cord and said, 25:52 "Take these things hence; 25:53 "my father's house is to be a house of prayer." 25:56 He not only wants that for his church, 25:58 he's cleansing the sanctuary from the sins 26:01 that have been stored in heaven. 26:02 There's a judgment going on, 26:04 but he wants to cleanse your temple. 26:07 Would you like him to come in and do his work?
