00:02 - [Narrator] This presentation is brought to you by
00:04 the friends of the Amazing Facts ministry. 00:08 - Nuclear submarines or boomers 00:11 are modern engineering wonders equivalent to 00:13 a tightly packed self-contained city where a crew 00:17 of 140 share the space of a three bedroom house. 00:21 A nuclear sub can stay submerged up to 90 days. 00:24 There's little contact with family during this time. 00:27 Along with the pressure being prepared 00:29 to launch nuclear weapons, it's one of 00:31 the most stressful military assignments. 00:34 To compensate, the Navy trains 00:36 the best chefs for these subs. 00:39 A meal might be prime ribs, sauteed mushrooms, 00:42 baked potatoes, fresh bread, and real chocolate cake. 00:46 They say an army travels on its stomach, and that's why 00:49 the military spends millions evaluating 00:51 what their soldiers eat. 00:53 Why is it that many Christians think God doesn't care 00:56 what His soldiers eat? 00:57 You know the Bible teaches that whether you eat or drink, 01:00 whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God. 01:04 Since our bodies are God's temple, we should present them 01:07 to Him as a living sacrifice and not abuse 01:10 them with gluttony, especially since 01:13 we're soldiers in His army. 01:15 So join me today for this program as we uncover 01:17 more amazing health facts from the word of God. 01:21 (soft music) 01:25 Well friends, we have a very important lesson tonight. 01:28 I wanna welcome you to the Panorama of Prophecy. 01:30 Again, tonight is gonna be a practical lesson, 01:33 but it's also a lesson found in the book of Daniel, 01:36 which is a book of prophecy. 01:38 We're gonna be talking about the subject 01:40 of refusing Babylons buffet. 01:44 And if you have your Bibles, 01:45 you want to go to the book of Daniel. 01:47 Now Daniel is a book filled with apocalyptic prophecies. 01:51 We've got that prophecy in chapter two of the metal image, 01:54 you got the prophecy in chapter seven, 01:56 we're gonna be talking about we've got the four beasts, 01:59 chapter eight, where you've got the ram and the goat, 02:01 chapter nine where you've got the dates concerning 02:03 the Messiah's return, and then it's one of 02:06 the longest prophecies in the Bible, which is 02:08 from Daniel chapter 10 through Daniel chapter 12 02:11 and where it talks about the abomination of desolation. 02:14 But it's very interesting that the first chapter 02:18 in the book of Daniel is dealing with one of 02:21 the keys to understanding all prophecy. 02:25 It has to do with self-control, wisdom, 02:29 mental clarity and your lifestyle. 02:32 And so of course, this story found in Daniel chapter one 02:35 sets the stage for why Daniel was who he was 02:39 through the rest of the book, it's very interesting. 02:42 You can read there in Daniel 1:8. 02:44 And it's assume that this is also true 02:47 of Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. 02:50 And it says, "He purposed in his heart he would not defile 02:53 himself with a portion of the King's delicacies". 02:56 What they had on the menu there in Babylon, 02:57 he said, "We can't eat it". 02:59 It included some food that was unclean and no doubt 03:02 had been offered to Babylonian idols. 03:04 And so he came up with a... 03:06 Daniel was very wise, came up with a solution 03:10 and he suggested to the prince of the Unix said, 03:14 "Test your servants for 10 days 03:16 and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink". 03:21 So it was a simple diet, basically it's a vegetarian diet. 03:25 I grew up living with my... 03:28 And my father's very wealthy, 03:30 sometimes he'd take us out to nice restaurants 03:32 and we'd order escargot, snails, frog legs, turtle steak, 03:39 and they're supposed to be the delicacies. 03:41 And then when I was poor and I lived up in the mountains, 03:43 I ate beans and rice and fruit, I had no refrigeration. 03:50 I felt much better eating the poor man's diet. 03:53 In some of the countries, when they eat a very simple diet 03:55 of beans and rice and things like that, 03:57 they live much longer, they have less disease, less cancer. 04:00 Then they're converted to the Western diet, 04:02 a lot of fat and sugar and processed food 04:06 and the heart disease and the cancer just skyrockets. 04:10 Notice what happens after Daniel, convincing the prince of 04:13 the Unix, he said, "Give us 10 days to try this diet out". 04:16 And it says, "In all matters of wisdom and understanding, 04:20 about which the king examined them. 04:22 He found them 10 times better than all of the magicians 04:26 and astrologers that were in his realm." 04:29 10 times wiser, these young men. 04:32 Notice the connection between their perceptions, 04:35 their intelligence and their diet that is being made. 04:39 So why are we talking about this 04:40 as we delve into deep prophecies? 04:42 Because clarity of mind is actually gonna help 04:46 in your understanding. 04:47 The devil is trying to befuddle this whole generation 04:51 in the world with drugs and dissipation and bad diet. 04:54 So we just don't think straight 04:55 and it affects our understanding, 04:57 it affects every aspect of our life and our relationships. 05:00 And that's why this is the first chapter 05:02 that you find in the book of Daniel. 05:04 It's a lesson on self control, giving glory to God 05:07 with your body and tells us that not only 05:11 did they live 10 times longer, you read on in that chapter 05:14 it says Daniel lived until the time of king Cyrus. 05:17 Meaning Daniel lived about a hundred years. 05:21 So he not only was sharp, and even you get 05:24 into Daniel chapter five, he's an old man 05:28 and he's still brilliant at that time, 05:31 and God is still speaking through him. 05:33 So we're gonna find out what does the Bible say about 05:36 how you can have a more abundant life, a longer life, 05:39 a healthier life, a clearer mind, 05:41 and I think you're gonna be blessed by this. 05:43 First of all, question number one, 05:45 what's a good Bible rule for healthful living? 05:49 "Therefore, whether you eat or whether you drink, 05:53 do all for the glory of God." 05:55 Now, if it tells us to eat and drink for God's glory, 05:58 is it possible for us to not eat and drink for God's glory? 06:02 Does that make sense? 06:04 Yeah, so certainly it is possible. 06:08 Friends, I think just, it is so critical for us 06:11 to understand the brain. 06:14 You know why God gives you legs? 06:17 To carry your brain around. 06:20 Even with modern computers today, for them to build 06:23 a computer that will do what the human mind does, 06:26 you would need a building as big as the Pentagon 06:29 to house it, you need all the water of Niagara falls 06:32 to power it, you would need all of the water 06:35 of Niagara falls to cool it. 06:37 The fastest computers they've got in the world now, 06:40 it goes back and forth between the US and China, 06:42 I think Korea's striving for the fastest computer 06:45 in the world, they cannot do what a mouse brain does yet. 06:51 You know how much processing is going on in your mind 06:53 even as we sit here right now? 06:56 You're taking these sound waves that are going through 06:57 the air and trying to make some logical sense out of it, 06:59 and you're converting this into abstract thought 07:02 and your brain is keeping your heart beating 07:04 and it's controlling your respiration. 07:06 You don't know that it might even be controlling 07:08 your temperature at this time. 07:09 And then all little hairs on your body are connected 07:12 with your brain and you're sensing anything 07:14 that might be going on. 07:15 You're hearing noises behind you 07:16 and you're processing those. 07:17 And all of this is happening 07:20 at lightning speed right now, as we speak. 07:24 Your brain is a strange combination of a physical organ 07:30 and a spiritual thing. 07:33 And God communicates with us through our minds. 07:36 But because it's also physical, taking care of your body, 07:40 which houses your brain and follows the commands 07:43 of the brain, it affects your clarity. 07:47 It affects how clear it is, 07:49 how easy it is for God to speak to you. 07:51 If we're not following good practical principles 07:54 for good health, our minds get cloudy 07:56 and it's hard for us to comprehend spiritual truth. 08:00 And it's the truth that sets you free. 08:01 I don't think it's an accident that the first chapter in 08:04 this book of Daniel is talking to us about health practices. 08:08 So with these things in mind, and we're talking 08:11 about glorifying God in our bodies, 08:13 should a Christian use alcoholic beverages? 08:17 Now we're not talking about grape juice now, 08:19 we're talking about the fermented stuff. 08:21 What is the Bible saying? 08:23 "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is a brawler, 08:27 whoever is led astray thereby is not wise". 08:30 Now how many want to be wise? 08:34 If we're led astray with it, then we're not wise. 08:36 The Bible tells us that Noah drank 08:38 and he stumbled around drunk in his tent, 08:40 and one of his family members ended up being cursed 08:43 as a result of that. 08:44 Lot's daughters got him to drink alcohol 08:46 and he committed incest with his daughters. 08:49 Whole race of people, the Moabites and Ammonites came around 08:52 that attacked God's people for centuries 08:55 because he got drunk. 08:57 King David tried to get Uriah drunk 08:59 so he would go against his conscience. 09:01 And you could just go through the history, the Bible says, 09:03 "Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink". 09:07 Because what's happening is everyone knows that 09:10 your response time is impaired by alcohol. 09:14 Alcohol is an addictive drug, it destroys brain cells, 09:18 not once, but every time you drink, 09:19 it's destroying brain cells. 09:20 And I don't know about you, but I can't afford 09:22 to lose anymore than I've already lost. 09:24 It dramatically affects our ability to reason. 09:29 You know I'm really passionate about this because 09:32 my father struggled with alcohol 09:35 and it affected our relationship. 09:37 People drink, they say things they later regret. 09:40 They stumble around, they do silly things. 09:43 My mother drank, I drank when I was younger. 09:46 You wake up in prison and you think 09:48 "How in the world did I get here, what did I do?" 09:50 You're embarrassed about silly things that you've done 09:54 and terrible things that you said. 09:57 It doesn't make you more intelligent. 10:00 Now I know, I used to drink. 10:02 It gives you that warm, fuzzy feeling, you can... 10:04 It says, "Give a wine to him who is ready to perish". 10:07 On the cross they offered Jesus wine, 10:09 He tasted it and He turned away. 10:10 He did not want His mind to be clouded 10:13 especially as our eternity hangs in the balance. 10:16 He didn't wanna say anything that would give the devil 10:18 the advantage because His mind was no longer clear. 10:22 Christians should not drink. 10:23 Half of the people that go to the hospital every day 10:27 are there because of sickness, birth defects, injuries, 10:29 accidents caused by alcohol. 10:32 Over half the people who are in prison are there 10:34 because of crimes committed while under 10:36 the influence of alcohol. 10:37 Over half of all the calls the police get, especially where 10:40 there's domestic abuse involved, alcohol is connected. 10:44 Now just with those facts, 10:47 to what extent should Christians support that? 10:50 When one out of seven people who drinks becomes 10:52 an alcoholic, how much would you support that? 10:55 Should you support a dog that bites one out of seven people 10:58 that comes to your house? 11:00 You see what I'm saying? 11:02 And you might wonder why I'm coming on so strong 11:04 and many who are watching and listening, 11:06 you come from a Christian background, but you think, 11:08 "Well, you know, didn't Paul say, 11:09 'drink a little wine for your stomachs infirmities?'" 11:11 He's talking to Timothy. 11:12 The word there wine meant grape juice. 11:16 Jesus did not make booze for the wedding. 11:19 Doesn't talk about anyone being inebriated in those events. 11:22 And it's the same word that is used for 11:25 the fermented alcohol that you find 11:27 in other places in the Bible. 11:28 So people get confused sometimes. 11:31 You can look in Isaiah where it says, "As the new wine", 11:34 same word, wine, "Is in the cluster". 11:37 Well, when grape juice is in a cluster, is it fermented? 11:40 Clearly not. 11:41 And Jesus said His gospel was new wine. 11:44 Says you don't put the new wine and the old wine skins 11:47 or it'll ferment and they'll burst and you lose everything. 11:49 You put new wine and new wine skins 11:51 to keep it fresh as long as possible. 11:54 So Paul tells us, "Do not do anything that might make 11:57 your brother stumble if you love your brother". 11:59 And it's not like we live in a society today where, 12:02 I'm dying of thirst, there's nothing to drink. 12:03 You go to the typical 711, there's 500 things you can drink 12:06 that don't have alcohol, right, or the supermarket. 12:09 So I know I spent some time writing this because it's 12:13 a problem in the world and in our culture. 12:15 With that in mind, tobacco is 12:19 the second most costly drug addiction in North America. 12:23 And I understand friends, some of you here 12:25 I know are struggling. 12:27 Many of you are watching I'm sure you're struggling with it. 12:29 I'm telling you, you can get the victory. 12:31 The Lord did it for me. 12:33 My father smoked for 50 years and he quit. 12:35 My grandfather smoked, I think I told you, for 50 years, 12:39 and he lived till 93. 12:41 And the Lord your savior is bigger than your devil. 12:47 He can save you from any addiction, 12:50 but you've gotta make up your mind you want to be free 12:52 and ask Him for help, and He will help you. 12:55 (soft music) 12:56 Don't go anywhere friends, we'll be back in just a moment 12:58 with the rest of today's presentation. 13:01 It's no secret friends, millions of people today 13:03 are suffering from health issues 13:05 that lead to crippling disease and shorter lives. 13:09 We spend billions every year on goofy health fads 13:12 that often end up hurting our bodies more than helping. 13:16 But what if I told you that the Bible has 13:18 the exact prescription that you need to live 13:21 a healthier and a happier life? 14:09 Now God talks about diet in the Bible. 14:11 When we're going into foods, 14:12 we talked about the original ideal diet 14:15 is gonna be fruit, grains, nuts, vegetables, so forth beans. 14:19 But what about meat? 14:21 Does God say that you can eat meat? 14:23 Yes, it's not the ideal, 14:25 but the Bible does say you can eat it. 14:27 Which animals did He say that we're permitted to eat? 14:30 It tells us on Leviticus, 11 verse three, 14:32 "Whatever divides the hoof, having the cloven hoof, 14:35 the split hoof and chewing the cud". 14:38 It needed both categories. 14:39 And this would be things like the cow and the goat 14:42 and the sheep and the deer. 14:44 But there are some animals that had a cloven hoof 14:48 but that doesn't chew the cud like a camel, they're unclean. 14:52 I know some of you are gonna have to go home and take 14:53 the camel steak out of your refrigerator. 14:56 Remember what Jesus said, the scribes and the Pharisees, 14:59 He said, "You're hypocrites because you strain your water so 15:01 that you will not swallow a gnat, but you swallow a camel". 15:05 You strain a gnat and you swallow a camel. 15:08 And He said, "You're being hypocrites". 15:09 They were not supposed to eat camel. 15:11 What about these sea creatures? 15:13 What does God say in His word are safe to eat 15:15 of those things that are in the sea? 15:17 What fish and seafood are clean? 15:19 Leviticus, 11 verse nine, "These you may eat 15:22 of all that are in the water. 15:24 Whatever is in the water that has fins and scales, 15:28 that you may eat." 15:31 And He did these two categories together, fins and scales. 15:35 I heard that the Navy years ago wanted to have 15:39 a survival book for its sailors if they were stranded, 15:43 a ship went down and they're in a life boat 15:45 and they wanna know what sea creatures they could eat. 15:47 Some are poisonous. 15:48 And so they did a bunch of research using your tax dollars, 15:52 and after years of research, they came up with the rule. 15:56 They said, "If it's got fins and scales, 15:57 it's probably safe". 15:59 They ended up saying what the Bible said. 16:02 But it goes on to say in Leviticus 11 verse 10, 16:05 "But all that are in the seas and in the rivers 16:07 that do not have fins and scales that move in the waters 16:11 or any living thing which is in the water, 16:13 they are an abomination to you". 16:15 Now that would mean oysters. 16:18 You realize that they're on the bottom, 16:20 they're called bottom feeders, they clean the water. 16:22 I think we have one president that died 16:24 from eating contaminated shellfish. 16:27 Lobsters, shrimp, I used to love, I used to catch lobster 16:31 and shrimp cocktail, and one of the few animals 16:34 that served with a digestinal tract still in it. 16:37 And it can be very toxic 16:39 that God does not want us eating those things. 16:41 And even if you didn't know what the medical reasons were, 16:44 it should be enough that God says don't do it. 16:46 It's not like there's nothing else to eat. 16:49 What about the birds, does God have a category for them? 16:52 It doesn't have a simple rule, like the cloven hoof 16:55 and chewing the cud or the fins and the scales. 16:57 But as you look at the different birds, probably 16:59 the best rule of thumb is 17:00 the foraging birds were safe to eat. 17:03 Those are the birds like the chicken. 17:06 The Bible says the dove and the quail, the grouse, 17:09 they go around, the turkey, they peck the seeds 17:11 and they're the forging birds like that. 17:13 The birds of carrion and 17:15 the other birds were declared unclean. 17:17 And here it says Leviticus, 11:15 and 16, 17:20 "Every raven after its kind, the ostrich, 17:24 the short aired owl, the sea gull and the hawk 17:26 after it's kind, they're unclean". 17:29 You're not supposed to eat owls and buzzards. 17:31 Someone's gonna write down, "What about duck?" 17:34 Well, duck are in the swan category and it says in 17:37 the Bible they're unclean also. 17:39 And I even know Jewish friends that eat duck, 17:42 but technically they would be unclean. 17:46 Are the laws about the clean and the unclean animals part of 17:48 Moses' ceremonial law that ended at the cross? 17:51 Some people are saying, "Oh, those are the laws of the Jews, 17:54 those are health laws for the Jews. 17:56 The distinction between clean and unclean animals, 17:58 that's a Jewish law, it was nailed to the cross." 18:01 Is a Jewish stomach different from anyone else's stomach? 18:05 No, and by the way, the typical Jewish lifespan 18:08 of the Orthodox Jews is among the oldest. 18:11 So there must be something to some of it. 18:14 was Noah Jewish? 18:18 It's not a trick question, No. 18:20 Anyone here related to Noah? 18:23 Everybody, I hope, or you're an alien. 18:28 The Bible tells us that Noah made a distinction 18:30 between the clean and the unclean. 18:33 Genesis seven verse one and two, "Come into the ark, 18:36 you and all your household, and you shall take 18:39 with you seven of each, every clean animal, 18:42 the male and it's female. 18:45 Two of each animal that are unclean, 18:48 a male and it's female." 18:50 Now one reason for that was he also offered 18:52 the clean animals as sacrifice. 18:54 You're never supposed to offer an unclean animal. 18:56 One of the greatest insults that you could ever offer God 18:59 was to like, bring a pig or a skunk or a vulture 19:01 into the temple, saying, "I brought you a sacrifice". 19:04 You're only supposed to bring a clean animal as a sacrifice. 19:07 Those animals could also be eaten. 19:09 Well, your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. 19:11 We're not supposed to bring 19:13 the unclean things into that temple. 19:15 And pork, it is a salt-laden, carcinogenic thing. 19:24 Pork, some people say, "Oh, I eat the white meat". 19:27 Pork is not a white meat. 19:28 When it talks about white meat, it's talking about fish 19:30 and chicken or turkey or something like that. 19:32 I used to have my own meat business. 19:35 I don't have the picture on the screen anymore, 19:36 but I had a business called 19:38 Doug Bachelor's Wholesale prime Beef Steaks. 19:41 And I used to buy sections of beef and butcher them 19:44 and then I'd sell them. 19:46 During that time when I was living in the mountains, 19:48 in the cave, I ate beans and rice and I felt great. 19:51 Not long after that, I got the job butchering 19:53 and selling meat, and I was eating sirloin steak 19:58 and eggs for breakfast and T-bone for dinner 20:00 and New York steak for lunch. 20:02 And I mean, I was eating meat three times a day, 20:03 'cause I had all these prime cuts, 20:06 and I didn't feel very good. 20:09 And I know too much of anything's not good, 20:12 but I went to a friend one day, 'cause a customer said, 20:13 "Can you get me some prime pork?" 20:16 And my butcher friend, he laughed, he said, 20:17 "You can't get prime pork". 20:19 He said, "The US department of agriculture, 20:20 they don't grade pork that way. 20:22 They print leaflets that tell you to cook it good 20:24 or you're gonna get trichina." 20:27 And so that was never supposed to be part of man's diet. 20:30 Now does God say that eating unclean food 20:33 is a serious offense? 20:36 "Behold, the Lord will come with fire." 20:38 This is Isaiah 66 verse 15 and verse 17. 20:42 "The Lord will come with fire 20:44 and with his chariots, like a whirlwind. 20:46 Those who sanctify themselves, eating swine's flesh 20:51 and the abomination and the mouse 20:54 shall be consumed together." 20:56 Wow, that's pretty clear. 20:57 Now He's not just talking about Jews 20:59 that break some Jewish law, He's talking about 21:00 His second coming and it's the people 21:02 that are defiling their body temples. 21:05 And He puts the abomination and mouse 21:08 in the same category with swine's flesh. 21:13 And no one out there's eating mouse burgers I'm hoping. 21:17 There are some places where they're eating dogs still, 21:19 in different parts of the world, 21:21 but God did not intend for us to eat pigs. 21:27 I used to take care of pigs for my neighbor 21:28 and I always struggle to find some new way to describe pigs. 21:32 And what I come up with is, pigs are pigs. 21:35 (audience laughing) They're not clean. 21:36 That's one thing, if you have a pet pig, 21:38 you can have a pet dog, they're in the same category. 21:40 You won't eat your dog, I hope. 21:42 They're smart, but they're scavengers. 21:45 The Bible says, "Do not give what is holy unto the dogs, 21:48 do not cast your pearls before swine. 21:51 As the dog returns to his vomit 21:53 and the pig to wallowing in the mere." 21:55 The dog and the pig are always bunched together 21:57 as the unclean scavengers in the Bible. 21:59 You can have nice pet dogs, 22:00 but you're not supposed to eat them. 22:02 The Bible says it's an abomination. 22:05 Jews around the world, even Muslims know this. 22:08 It's a basic Bible teaching, it's not just for the Jews. 22:13 What about Peter's vision in Acts chapter 10? 22:15 Peter is invited to go to the house of Cornelius, a Gentile. 22:19 Before he goes, he's on his roof praying and he's hungry. 22:22 And while he is on his roof praying, 22:25 he goes into a trance, he sees this vision. 22:27 And this sheet held together at the four corners 22:30 is lowered from the heavens. 22:31 And in this big sheet, think of like a circus tent sheet, 22:36 it's full of all these unclean animals. 22:39 And he hears a voice from heaven saying, 22:40 "Arise Peter, kill and eat". 22:43 Peter responds and says, "Not so Lord, 22:45 I have never eaten anything common or unclean". 22:48 It's all in Acts chapter 10. 22:50 Peter says, "I have never eaten anything common or unclean". 22:53 This is years after Jesus died. 22:55 If Jesus had been teaching you can eat anything, 22:57 Peter, would've been eating other things. 22:59 He says, "I have never eaten anything common or unclean". 23:01 Three times a sheet comes down, three times 23:04 Peter says, "Not so Lord". 23:05 He thinks it's a test, he says, "I'm going with Your word". 23:08 And then the sheet goes up and Peter's wondering 23:11 "What does this mean?" 23:13 There's a knock on the door, the Gentiles are inviting Peter 23:16 to come and to preach to them. 23:19 But a Jew is not supposed to go into the home of a Gentile 23:21 and not supposed to eat with them. 23:23 And God says, "Go with them, trust in me". 23:27 Later, Peter recounting the story, 23:29 he says, Acts chapter 10:28, 23:32 "God has shown me that I should not call 23:35 any pig unclean, any man unclean". 23:40 The purpose of the vision had nothing 23:41 to do with food articles. 23:43 God was telling the Jews, "You can now go to the Gentiles, 23:46 do not call the Gentiles unclean." 23:49 That was the reason of the vision. 23:51 He used the metaphors and the pictures 23:54 that a Jew would understand. 23:56 But the Lord is still clear that our bodies are 23:59 the temple of the Holy Spirit. 24:00 He did not take away the health laws, 24:02 He still wants us to care about our health. 24:04 Will people in heaven kill and eat animals? 24:07 What does the Bible say? 24:09 "The Wolf will dwell with the lamb. 24:11 The leopard will lie down with the young goat. 24:13 The calf and the young lion and the fatling together, 24:16 and a little child will lead them." 24:19 Again, "They will not hurt or destroy 24:23 in all my holy mountain". 24:25 The animals will not eat each other. 24:28 So friends, are we gonna kill and eat them? 24:30 The Bible tells us, Revelation 21:4, 24:33 "There is no more death". 24:35 Nothing dies, and we will not be killing and eating them. 24:40 So how do I make these lifestyle changes 24:43 that will please the Lord? 24:45 Not only please the Lord, make you feel better, 24:47 help you be a better servant. 24:50 How do you do that, how do you make these practical changes? 24:52 I mean let's face it, you get into a rut of lifestyle habit 24:55 and it's hard to break. 24:57 Well, you learned your habits, you'll learn new ones. 25:00 With God's help, everything can change. 25:03 There's a promise in Ezekiel 11:18, 25:05 "They will take away the detestable things". 25:08 When you realize there's something in your life 25:10 that doesn't please the Lord, throw it away. 25:13 One day I had to throw my cigarettes away. 25:15 One day I had to pour my alcohol down the drain 25:17 and I stopped drinking. 25:19 And there was a struggle for a while, but you know what? 25:22 I don't struggle anymore because you change, 25:24 you replace it with something good. 25:26 You overcome your habits. 25:28 He says, "I will give them a new heart 25:30 and I'll put a new spirit within them that they might walk 25:33 in My statutes and keep My judgements and do them". 25:38 Having healthy bodies and clear minds help us to comprehend 25:41 the things that we're gonna be getting into. 25:43 God wants you body, soul and spirit in the last days. 25:47 (soft music) 25:51 - [Narrator] Don't forget to request 25:52 today's life changing free resource. 25:55 Not only can you receive this free gift in the mail, 25:57 you can download a digital copy straight 25:58 to your computer or mobile device. 26:01 To get your digital copy of today's free gift, simply text 26:04 the keyword on your screen to 40544, 26:08 or visit the web address shown on your screen 26:10 and be sure to select the digital download option 26:13 on the request page. 26:14 It's now easier than ever for you to study God's word 26:17 with Amazing Facts, wherever and whenever you want. 26:21 And most important, to share it with others. 26:24 - [Announcer] "Go into all the world and preach 26:27 the gospel to every creature." 26:30 Through radio, television, print, evangelistic events 26:33 and the internet, Amazing Facts International is heeding 26:36 the call of Jesus to go into all the world. 26:39 Millions of individuals in over 150 countries 26:43 have been blessed by the word of God. 26:45 Amazing Facts has spawned new spheres of influence 26:48 in India, Africa, China, and Indonesia. 26:51 With each new country come hundreds 26:53 of translated booklets, study guides 26:55 and video presentations produced in each region 26:58 for the people of that region. 27:00 Armed with these precious truths, gospel workers 27:02 are empowered to spread bright rays of light 27:05 on every path they travel. 27:07 Please visit reachtheworld.amazingfacts.org 27:11 to learn more about Amazing Facts International 27:13 and how you can participate 27:15 in this exciting soul-winning ministry. 27:17 That website again is reachtheworld.amazingfacts.org. 27:22 Thank you for your support. 27:25 - [Announcer 2] Have you ever skipped a meal?
