00:02 - [Announcer] This presentation was brought to you by
00:04 the friends of the "Amazing Facts" ministry. 00:08 - Known as a brood parasite, 00:11 the common cuckoo bird lays her eggs 00:13 in the nest of smaller bird species like a reed warbler. 00:17 Once the cuckoo's egg has been laid, 00:19 which tends to match the host egg in pattern and color, 00:22 the unsuspecting little mothers 00:24 incubate, feed, and raise the young imposter, 00:27 typically at the expense of their own offspring. 00:30 One of the tragedies of nature, 00:31 is to watch a little reed warbler and its mate 00:34 nearly work themselves to death to satisfy 00:37 the voracious hunger of a fat little cuckoo chick, 00:40 while their own starving young are crowded out of the nest. 00:44 Many don't realize, that the devil has laid a deceptive egg 00:47 in the church that's been hatched, 00:49 adopted, and fed until it's grown bigger than life. 00:53 Jesus warned us about this, 00:56 but what exactly is this counterfeit, 00:59 and how does it affect you? 01:01 So join me now, as we unravel this mystery. 01:07 A very important presentation today, 01:09 dealing with the subject of Bowing to the Beast. 01:13 I thought that it might be fun 01:15 to start with an amazing fact. 01:17 In 2018, Prime Minister Modi of India, 01:21 dedicated the world's tallest statue. 01:24 It's called the Statue of Unity. 01:26 Including its base, it's over 790 feet high. 01:31 To complete the massive project it took 3,400 laborers, 01:35 250 engineers working virtually 01:37 around the clock for 42 months. 01:40 It's visible for miles. 01:42 It's twice the height of the Statue of Liberty, 01:44 and the cost for the colossal statue is $430 million. 01:50 Well, in the Bible, there's a story 01:54 where the king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar, 01:56 he builds this image. 01:57 Now, the inspiration for his building the image, 02:00 is because if you read in Daniel 2, 02:02 you remember he dreams about this great image 02:05 and it's made of all these different medals. 02:07 The head of the image was gold and it was silver, 02:11 and then it was bronze, 02:12 and then it was iron, and iron and clay. 02:15 And Daniel told the king, "You are the head of gold." 02:19 The king liked that, that made him feel pretty good. 02:21 But then Daniel said, 02:22 "But after you, will come another kingdom, 02:25 that silver kingdom." 02:26 He didn't like the idea that Babylon would not last forever. 02:30 So Nebuchadnezzar had an idea. 02:32 He said, "Well, if that statue represented 02:34 the kingdoms of the world, 02:35 and gold was the kingdom of Babylon, 02:38 maybe I can overthrow this prophecy 02:40 by making what I saw in my dream, but make it all gold. 02:44 Babylon will then last forever." 02:46 And so the king did that. 02:49 The king erected a statue of gold, 02:52 and it was 60 cubits high, by six cubits wide. 02:59 Very important point I want you to know, 03:00 that in a lot of the Hebrew writings, 03:03 if it does not give the depth, 03:05 the depth will be the same as the width. 03:09 So you got 60 cubits high, by six cubits wide, 03:12 by six cubits deep. 03:15 So, here you've got this statue that's 60 by six, by six. 03:21 That's starting to sound familiar? 03:23 Tells everybody, "Fall down." 03:24 All nations, all people are supposed to fall down 03:26 and worship the image. 03:28 And whoever does not fall down and worship it 03:30 shall be cast immediately into the midst 03:33 of a burning fiery furnace. 03:34 And not too far away was the furnace 03:36 where they probably had forged the gold for the image, 03:39 and that was a motivator. 03:42 So the king, he gives this signal 03:46 and tells everybody that they need to 03:48 bow down and worship it. 03:50 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, 03:53 they would not bow down and worship the image. 03:55 And the king said, "What's the matter, 03:57 you didn't hear the music play?" 03:59 Now, you can imagine the temptation. 04:01 The king says, "When you hear the music play, 04:04 everybody's to bow down and worship, 04:06 and those that do not bow down, you're not only gonna die, 04:08 you're gonna die in this fiery furnace." 04:10 They had to make a decision. 04:12 Are they gonna compromise with everyone around them 04:15 and break the commandment of God that says, 04:17 "You shall not bow down and worship graven images." 04:20 They decided to put God first. 04:23 And so, when the music played, they stood strong. 04:25 You'd think, "Well, that would've been a good time 04:27 to tie your sandals, right? 04:29 Just look like you're bowing down. 04:31 Or maybe you could bow down and pray to God, 04:33 just don't pray to the image." 04:35 But they would not even look like they were compromising. 04:37 They stood for the commandments of God 04:39 even at the potential cost of their life. 04:43 And the king said, "Maybe you didn't hear, 04:44 I'll give you another chance." 04:46 And they said, "We don't need another chance." 04:49 Daniel 3:18, they said, 04:53 "'Our God, who we serve can deliver us. 04:55 But even if He doesn't, let it be known to you, O king, 04:57 that we will not serve your gods, 04:59 nor will we worship the gold image that you have set up.' 05:04 And so, these men were cast 05:06 into the midst of the burning furnace." 05:08 Now, if you're wondering if that furnace was hot or not, 05:11 it tells us that the king commanded his soldiers 05:14 or just tie them up as they were 05:15 with their clothes and everything. 05:17 And the soldiers went to throw them in. 05:21 The king had said, "Get that furnace seven times hotter 05:23 than it's supposed to be heated." 05:25 And the heat was waffing out with such intensity, 05:29 that the soldiers that went to throw 05:31 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fire, 05:34 were killed by the heat. 05:37 And so, this was not that the fire just was not hot enough. 05:42 "Nebuchadnezzar was astonished. 05:43 He rose in hast and he spoke and said, 05:45 'Did we not cast three men bound 05:48 into the midst of the fire?' 05:50 And they said, 'It's true, O king.' 05:53 He said, 'I see four men loose in the fire 05:57 and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.'" 06:02 And so, this is telling us that Jesus came to them 06:05 during their time of trial, 06:08 and the Lord will come to us as well. 06:11 So, we're gonna go to our lesson for today. 06:13 This experience there in Daniel 3, 06:17 is an echo of Revelation 13. 06:20 It talks about those who do not worship 06:22 the image of the beast should be killed. 06:24 Says, "There's a commandment that 06:26 all people's, nations, and tongues." 06:28 Nebuchadnezzar said, "All people's, nations, and tongues." 06:31 Revelation 13 talks about six, six, six. 06:33 And here, you've got this image that was, 06:36 and it measures it in cubits in the Bible, 06:38 60 by six, presumably by six. 06:42 That would've been 90 feet tall gold statue. 06:46 May have cost more than $430 million, 06:49 like the Statue of Unity in India. 06:51 So, first question. 06:54 What does a beast represent in Bible prophecies? 06:58 You can read right here in Daniel 7, 07:00 when you've got that prophecy that talks about the lion 07:04 and the leopard and the bear. 07:06 It says, "Those great," what? "Beasts." 07:10 You can say the answers with me. 07:11 "Those great beasts which are four, are four," what? 07:15 - Kings. - They're four kings. 07:17 Again, you can read in Daniel 7:23, 07:20 "The fourth beast shall be the fourth 07:23 kingdom upon the earth." 07:26 So when we are getting ready to study the beast, 07:28 do not think monster. 07:30 These were different animals 07:32 that represented kingdoms or kings, okay? 07:35 They were powers that ruled over God's people in some way. 07:40 So, how does the Bible identify the beast? 07:45 "I stood on the sand of the sea 07:47 and I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, 07:49 seven heads and 10 horns. 07:51 And on his 10 horns, 10 crowns, 07:54 and on his heads a blasphemous name. 07:57 And the beast that I saw was like leopard, 08:00 and his feet were like the feet of a bear, 08:02 and his mouth was like the mouth of a lion." 08:05 Who is this first beast? 08:06 Point one. It rises up out of the sea. 08:10 It says, "It receives its power, seat, 08:12 and authority from the dragon." 08:15 "It becomes a worldwide power," 08:17 that's verses three and seven. 08:19 It's guilty of blasphemy. 08:22 It rules for 42 prophetic months. 08:25 It receives a deadly wound that heals. 08:27 It is a religious power that compels worship. 08:31 It persecutes God's people. 08:33 And it has mysterious number 666, 08:37 and it's led by one supreme man. 08:39 It says there at the end, "It is the number of a man." 08:42 And so, this beast arises from the sea. 08:46 What does the sea or the waters symbolize? 08:49 It says, "The waters which you saw 08:51 are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues." 08:55 So, it tells us one of the characteristics 08:57 is this beast power would come up from waters, 09:00 densely populated, preexisting multitudes 09:04 of nations, tongues, and people, Revelation 17:15. 09:07 The papacy arose from the very center of civilization 09:11 at that time, which was in Rome. 09:13 Indeed it was surrounded. 09:15 It's on a peninsula surrounded by water as well. 09:19 Who gives the beast his power and his position? 09:23 You read, "The dragon gave him his power, 09:26 his throne, and great authority." 09:28 Now, who is the dragon? 09:30 Well, first and foremost the dragon is the devil, 09:31 was serpent and Satan, 09:33 but the devil works through kingdoms and governments. 09:37 In the book of Exodus, 09:39 you've got the dragon working through the Pharaoh of Egypt 09:42 to persecute God's people. 09:43 You still with me? 09:45 When you read in Revelation 12, 09:48 and it tells us that this beast, 09:51 again, with seven heads and 10 horns 09:54 is trying to destroy the man child as soon as he's born. 09:58 Who was the king that tried to kill 09:59 all the babies in Bethlehem? 10:01 Well, he actually did kill all the two year old boys. 10:02 - Herod. - Herod. 10:04 Who did he work for? Rome. 10:08 He was operating as a vassal under the kingdom of Rome, 10:11 but the devil was doing that. 10:13 Do you see what I'm saying? Trying to destroy. 10:16 So, one of the clues we find out is, 10:18 it says that the dragon gives 10:20 his seat and his power unto this beast. 10:22 So, did that happen historically? 10:25 Where does the beast get his seat of power, his authority? 10:30 Look at history. 10:31 Now we're gonna look at Abbott's Roman history. 10:33 "The transfer of the emperors residence to Constantinople," 10:37 this is what Constantine did, 10:39 "was a sad blow to the prestige of Rome. 10:42 And at that time, 10:43 one might have predicted her speedy decline. 10:45 But the development of the church 10:48 and the growing authority of the Bishop of Rome, 10:50 or the Pope, gave her a new lease on life, 10:53 and made her again the capital, 10:55 this time the religious capital of the civilized world." 10:58 So as the emperor moved his throne out, 11:00 he gave the local throne to the church, 11:03 and he gave them both religious and civil power. 11:07 And here's from LaBianca, 11:09 professor of history, University of Rome. 11:11 "To the succession of the Caesars 11:14 came the succession of the Pontiffs," 11:15 Pontiff's another word for pope, "in Rome. 11:18 When Constantine left Rome, 11:20 he gave his seat to the Pontiff." 11:22 History says this is exactly what happened. 11:25 So it says, "This is a religious body 11:28 that follows the Roman power." 11:30 How far reaching is the influence of the beast? 11:34 It says, "And all the world marveled 11:39 and followed the beast." 11:40 Would you think it's safe to say 11:42 that the Catholic Church is an international power? 11:46 - Yeah. - And now, I'm a pastor. 11:51 Do you think they're gonna let me 11:52 address the United Nations? 11:54 If the Pope is the pastor of a church, 11:56 how come they have diplomats and ambassadors 11:59 from around the world that go and meet with him? 12:02 Trump met with a pope, Obama met with a pope, 12:04 they all meet with a pope, 'cause it is a very powerful, 12:07 like I said, you got, you know, 12:09 2.2 billion Christians in the world today. 12:11 The majority of them are Roman Catholic. 12:16 It is a universal power and as I travel around the world, 12:18 you go to Mexico, you go to the Philippines, 12:20 you go to South America, and many other countries, 12:23 you're gonna find it as a very universal power. 12:27 The United Nations gathers to be addressed by the Pope. 12:31 And so, here you've got, 12:32 it's ostensibly got Christian trappings, 12:35 but it is obviously much more than just a Christian Church, 12:38 because it's got political clout. 12:42 Don't go anywhere friends. 12:43 In just a moment, we will return to today's presentation. 12:47 You know, there's quite a bit of zoology in Bible symbols, 12:50 lions and leopards and bears. 12:53 And among the ominous creatures 12:54 that are pictured in the book of Revelation 12:57 is a seven headed dragon 12:59 that's being ridden by a vicious woman. 13:01 Who do these powers represent? 13:03 Are they operating in the world today? 13:05 Does America play a role 13:07 in the final events of Bible prophecy? 13:10 And how can we know for sure what these symbols mean? 13:13 Friends, I believe we are in the last days, 13:16 and understanding these prophecies is crucial 13:20 for those who want to know they're on God's side 13:21 in these trying times. 13:23 To better understand this subject, 13:25 we'd like to make available to you a powerful book called 13:28 "The Beast, the Dragon and the Woman." 13:30 And it'll walk you step by step 13:32 through everything you need to know about Revelation's 13:34 most perplexing end time symbols. 13:37 You don't have to be confused any longer. 13:39 This study guide will open your eyes and inspire you 13:42 to stand firm for Jesus Christ today, 13:45 and be ready for the end. 13:46 To get your free copy, 13:48 call the phone number on the screen right now 13:50 and ask for offer number 126, 13:52 or visit the web address on the screen. 13:55 And after you read this incredible resource, 13:57 make sure and share it with a friend. 13:59 Well, let's get back now to today's presentation 14:02 and learn some more amazing facts from the Word of God. 14:06 What comes out of the mouth of the beast? 14:08 We're continuing to go through the identifying marks 14:10 that you find in Revelation 13. 14:14 It says, "He opens his mouth in blasphemy against God, 14:19 to blaspheme His name." 14:21 Now, what does the word blasphemy mean? 14:24 You want to use a Bible definition. 14:26 Blasphemy, according to the Bible, 14:28 when Jesus said "He could forgive sin," 14:30 they said, "You are guilty of blasphemy." 14:32 They said, "Only God can forgive sin." 14:34 When Jesus claimed equality with God, 14:37 when He said, "Before Abraham was, I am," 14:39 they took up stones to stone Him, 14:41 there in the gospel of John. 14:44 Jesus was telling the truth, He is equal with God. 14:46 But they said, "That's blasphemy." 14:48 Taking the prerogatives of belong to God is blasphemy. 14:51 So you understand the definition? 14:52 Let's see if the Roman Catholic Church meets that criteria. 14:57 "We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty," 15:01 according to Pope Leo XIII. 15:03 Now, is that being ambiguous or is that pretty clear 15:07 that they're saying, "We hold the place of God?" 15:09 Another definition, "The scribes and Pharisees 15:12 began to reason saying, 'Who is this who speaks blasphemies? 15:15 Who can forgive sin but God alone?'" 15:17 So, to claim to be able to forgive sin, 15:19 the Bible calls blasphemy. 15:21 Does the Roman Church claim to have power to forgive sin? 15:24 You can read in the book that every priest goes through 15:27 when he's training to be a priest. 15:29 "God Himself is obliged to abide 15:31 by the judgment of His priests, 15:32 and either to not pardon or to pardon, 15:35 according as they refuse or give absolution. 15:38 The sentence of the priest proceeds," 15:40 that means the sentence of the priest goes first, 15:42 "and then God subscribes to it." 15:44 The priest is deciding who is and is not forgiven. 15:47 When a man claims to have that power, 15:49 whether another person sins will be forgiven, 15:52 you're embracing the prerogatives that belong to God. 15:56 How long would this first beast rule? 15:58 Again, we're talking about the first beast now 16:00 in Revelation 13. 16:02 It says, "And he's given authority 16:04 to continue 42 months." 16:08 That's that time period that continues to reappear, 16:10 that 42 months, three and a half years, 1,260 days. 16:15 It's given all three ways in Revelation, 16:18 so you can't miss it. 16:20 Now, what does a day equal in Bible prophecy? 16:22 - A year. - A day is a year. 16:25 Does it fit that definition? 16:28 "The legally recognized supremacy of the Pope 16:31 began in 538 A.D. when there went into effect 16:35 a decree of the Emperor Justinian, 16:37 making the bishop of Rome the head over all the churches 16:41 and the definer of doctrine and the corrector of heretics. 16:45 Vigilius ascended the papal chair in 538 A.D." 16:48 And this is the history of the Christian Church. 16:50 "Under the military protection of Belisarius." 16:54 And so here, it's telling us, 16:56 this was a time when Justinian said, 16:58 "Look, I'm leaving town, I'm giving you an army. 17:00 I'm giving you both political and religious 17:03 absolute power over the church and locally, 17:06 power over correcting heretics." 17:09 What happened to the beast after these 42 months? 17:12 It says, "And I saw one of his heads 17:14 as it had been mortally wounded, 17:16 and the deadly wound was healed. 17:18 And all the world marveled 17:20 and followed the beast," Revelation 13:3. 17:23 We've learned that in prophecy, a day is year. 17:26 Now, not every time you see a day, 17:28 one says, "God made the world in six days," 17:29 and not six years. 17:31 It's not a prophecy. 17:32 But when you've got a prophecy, 17:34 especially if there's signs in apocalyptic symbols, 17:36 it's you apply the principle of a day equals a year. 17:40 42 months is 1260 years. 17:43 That's the same as three and a half years, 17:45 'cause a Jewish year has got what? 17:47 30 days to the month and it starts with 17:50 Justinian's decree in 538, 17:53 uninterrupted power until the Pope is actually 17:56 arrested in France by Napoleon's general. 17:59 "Here in 1798, he, Berthier, made his entrance into Rome. 18:05 He abolished the papal government." 18:07 This is in the Encyclopedia Americana. 18:09 You ever heard of that? 18:10 These are for the authorities, this is history. 18:12 "He abolished the papal government 18:15 and established a secular one." 18:17 Here's an interesting headline 18:19 from the San Francisco Chronicle, February 11th, 1929. 18:23 You probably heard of Mussolini. 18:26 You know, one of the things that Mussolini did 18:27 to try to get the support of the Catholic Church 18:31 for his fascism, he needed the people to support him. 18:34 He entered into a pact with the pope there in Rome, 18:37 and he said, "We will once again 18:38 make you an independent state. 18:41 You'll not only be a religion, 18:42 we're gonna give you the Vatican 18:44 as an independent country now." 18:46 And they were resurrected again. 18:49 He said, "If you support me," and they struck a deal. 18:52 Here's the actual quote from the headlines then. 18:56 "The Roman question was a thing of the past 18:59 and the Vatican was at peace with Italy 19:01 in affixing the autographs to the Memorable document 19:04 healing the wound." 19:05 Interesting that the writers used the same wording 19:08 that you find in the Bible. 19:09 Pope Francis often uses that wording, healing the wound. 19:13 He says that we need to reunite with Protestants, 19:15 healing the wound of the Reformation. 19:18 So, it was, the wound was healed politically here, 19:21 because they became an independent state. 19:24 Now they're striving for the spiritual healing of the wound 19:27 between Protestants and Catholics, 19:29 and that's gone a long way. 19:30 Before the 500th year anniversary of the Reformation, 19:35 Catholics, Protestants, Episcopals, 19:38 they all met in Europe together, 19:40 embraced each other and said, 19:41 "The Protestant reformation is over, the protest is over. 19:45 We are gonna reunite now." 19:47 Things are happening friends. 19:49 And it's not because they've suddenly 19:50 rediscovered the Bible truth. 19:52 They're willing to sacrifice truth for the sake of unity. 19:56 That's a big question. 19:58 Some people say, "Well as long as we love each other." 19:59 You go to the average person on the street and they'll say, 20:01 "As long as you love each other, 20:02 it doesn't matter what you believe. 20:04 You get your truth, I've got my truth, 20:06 and everyone's got their own truth. 20:07 There's no absolute truth." 20:09 That is a lie. 20:11 The idea, there's no absolute truth is a lie. 20:14 There is absolute truth, and the truth sets you free. 20:16 It's not just your idea of the truth and my idea of truth. 20:19 There are people in history who absolutely believe 20:21 it's their job to annihilate a whole race of people. 20:25 I mean, who will question the sincerity of Hitler? 20:27 That was his truth. Was he right? 20:30 See, there's right and wrong in the world. 20:32 So it seems innocent when people say, 20:33 "Well, you've got your truth and I've got mine." 20:35 I think you should respect people's freedom, 20:37 respect their beliefs, 20:38 but that doesn't mean you agree with everything, 20:40 and you don't sacrifice your convictions of truth 20:43 for the sake of an illusion of unity. 20:46 I can't say that any clearer than I just did, friends. 20:49 That's what's gonna happen in the last days. 20:50 People for the sake of some security and unity 20:55 are gonna sacrifice convictions of truth. 20:57 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego would not bow down, 21:01 even though they were gonna, 21:02 they were gonna ruin the party for everybody that day. 21:05 They were gonna make their boss mad. 21:08 You think, wouldn't the loving thing be 21:09 to just bow down like everyone else? 21:11 They were more concerned with what God thought of them, 21:13 than what man thought of them. 21:15 That'll be the question in the last days. 21:17 Who do you worship? 21:18 Is the beast a religious power? 21:21 Answer, "And cause as many as would not worship 21:24 the image of the beast should be killed." 21:26 You know, in the very beginning, 21:28 the battle was between Cain and Able over worship. 21:31 You have these two brothers, 21:32 claiming to worship the same God. 21:35 Able had modified the worship to do it his way. 21:38 No, I'm sorry, Cain had modified worship to do it his way. 21:41 Able wanted to worship the way that God told him 21:43 by bringing a lamb and trusting in the sacrifice 21:45 in the blood of the lamb. 21:46 Cain said, "That's messy. 21:48 Yeah, let's just use fruit, vegetables." 21:50 And God said, "He would not accept the offering of Cain 21:54 'cause he worshiped wrong, 21:55 and He would accept the offering of Able." 21:57 Was there absolute truth in that story? 22:00 And Cain then persecuted his brother. 22:02 History is gonna repeat itself. 22:04 Was Cain marked, was there a mark involved? 22:07 And so friends, we're just seeing, 22:10 the way it started out is the way it's gonna end. 22:12 It's a battle over worship. 22:14 What is the mysterious number that identifies the beast? 22:18 It says, "His number is 666." 22:22 Now, let's find out what the Pope's official title is. 22:25 This is a book, and I remember when this book came out 22:28 by Pope John Paul II. 22:29 It's called "Crossing the Threshold of Hope." 22:32 This is page three. 22:34 "Confronted with the Pope, one must take make a choice. 22:37 The leader of the Catholic Church is defined by the faith 22:40 as the Vicar of Jesus Christ, 22:43 and is accepted as such by believers." 22:45 Official title is "Vicarius Filii Dei." 22:48 So this is an official title. 22:50 When you take that title and you convert the Roman numerals. 22:55 Some of you remember your Roman numerals. 22:56 What is V? Five, right? 23:00 And then you've got I is one. 23:02 By the way V and U are the same in Roman numerals. 23:05 So you take that title, "Vicarius Filii Dei," 23:09 and what does it add up to? 23:11 It's 666. 23:14 Well, friends, I think that that's a pretty stunning. 23:16 Throughout Revelation, the number seven 23:19 represents perfection and completion. 23:22 First time you hear the number seven 23:23 mention three times in the Bible, who knows? 23:27 Genesis 2 says, "The seventh day, 23:30 the seventh day, the seventh day." 23:33 Then you get to Revelation, it says, "666." 23:35 It's like a counterfeit trinity. 23:37 Man was made on the 6th day, 23:39 and it's talking to manmade worship, 23:42 or the worship of man in place of the worship of God. 23:45 You've got this conflict of two worships 23:48 that are juxtaposed here in Bible history. 23:51 Biblical true worship, counterfeit 23:54 or compromised worship. 23:56 And again, I'm not criticizing people 23:58 that might view things different. 23:59 I'm just saying, "What does the Bible say about this?" 24:02 And it tells us that this is the title 24:04 of the Catholic Church, that converted represents 666. 24:11 Let me give you couple of quotes from history 24:12 that I think you might find that are interesting. 24:18 Some of the great reformers, people like Martin Luther. 24:24 Now, these are not my words, 24:25 but what I'm sharing with you is not new. 24:27 What I'm sharing with you is actually very old. 24:30 Protestant pastors always knew this, 24:32 but they've sort of drifted away from it now. 24:36 Martin Luther, of course, leader of the Lutheran movement, 24:39 based on prophetic studies, 24:41 Martin Luther finally declared, 24:43 "We are of the conviction that the papacy is the seat 24:45 of the true and the real anti-Christ." 24:49 That cannot be misunderstood. 24:50 Of course, he was excommunicated because of that position. 24:53 Charles Spurgeon, he's called the Prince of Preachers. 24:58 "It is the bound end duty of every Christian 25:01 to pray against the antichrist. 25:05 And as to what the antichrist is, 25:07 no sane man ought to raise a question. 25:09 No sane man ought to even question. 25:11 If it'd be not popery in the Church of Rome, 25:13 there's nothing in the world that we can call by that name." 25:16 Friends, I hope this is clear. 25:19 We're trying to be as loving as we can, 25:20 but I can't change what the prophecies say. 25:23 There's no question about what the beast is. 25:25 We know what the number represents. 25:28 So here's the question. 25:29 Are you willing to follow Jesus wherever He leads, 25:33 even though you may lose your friends? 25:36 Now, you may go through fiery trials 25:37 if you stand for your faith. 25:39 Did Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego 25:40 get thrown into the fiery furnace? 25:43 - Yes. - But who went through it 25:44 with them? - Jesus. 25:46 - The Bible says, "Though you pass through the waters, 25:49 I'll be with you, though you go through the fires, 25:50 I will be with you. I will not leave you. 25:52 I will not forsake you." 25:53 We may go through fiery trials in the last days, 25:56 but friends, the only safe thing to do 25:58 is to build your house on the rock. 26:00 The words of Jesus, the teachings of Jesus, 26:02 the law of God. 26:04 We're saved by faith, but He wants us to be obedient, amen. 26:12 - [Announcer] Don't forget to request 26:14 today's life changing free resource. 26:16 Not only can you receive this free get in the mail, 26:18 you can download a digital copy 26:20 straight to your computer or mobile device. 26:22 To get your digital copy of today's free gift, 26:25 simply text the keyword on your screen to 40544, 26:29 or visit the web address shown on your screen. 26:32 And be sure to select the digital download option 26:34 on the request page. 26:36 It's now easier than ever for you to study God's Word 26:39 with "Amazing Facts," wherever and whenever you want. 26:42 And most important, to share it with others. 26:46 - I normally do 15 to 20 yards a day by myself. 26:48 I have a lawn service, and it was a long day. 26:51 I'm coming home. 26:52 So I'm just, hit scan on the radio, 26:54 and it stopped on a staticy station, and I heard Doug say. 26:58 - [Doug] Hello, friends, 27:00 would you like to hear an amazing fact? 27:02 - And I actually looked at the radio and answered, 27:03 and I'm like, "Yeah, I sure do." 27:05 After it was over with, 27:06 I wanted to make sure to find the program again, 27:08 because it was starting to static in and out. 27:10 I went and started to find the podcast 27:13 of Bible Answers Live. 27:14 And that's really what got me with "Amazing Facts," 27:16 is that their vast library, the podcast. 27:18 Once I seen all that, I gotta hear his testimony. 27:21 So I got on YouTube, 27:23 I have to see this man's testimony, 27:25 and his testimony like, that was looking at me. 27:28 It's like, you know, I can understand this guy. 27:30 He's been through what I've been through. 27:32 There's no coincidence in this, 27:34 there's a reason that Station stopped that day. 27:37 Thank you for changing my life. 27:40 - [Announcer 2] Did you know "Amazing Facts" 27:42 has a free Bible school that you can do 27:44 from the comfort of your own home? 27:46 It includes 27 study lessons to aid 27:49 in your study of God's Word. 27:50 Sign up today by calling 1-844-215-7000. 27:55 That's 1-844-215-7000. 27:58 ♪♪♪ 28:04 - [Announcer] Don't forget to request today's free offer. 28:06 It's sure to be a blessing. 28:07 And thank you for 28:09 your continued support 28:10 as we take the gospel of 28:11 Jesus Christ to the world. 28:13 We hope you'll join us next week, 28:15 as we delve deep into the Word of God 28:17 to explore more amazing facts. 28:24 This presentation is brought to you by 28:25 the Friends of the "Amazing Facts" ministry. |
