00:03 by the friends of the "Amazing Facts" Ministry. 00:09 Doug Batchelor: The Christians of the Ancient Mediterranean 00:11 world used catacombs, a network of subterranean chambers and 00:14 galleries, for burial. 00:16 But during times of persecution, the catacombs became places of 00:20 refuge because burial grounds were guarded or sacrosanct by 00:24 Roman law. 00:25 When churches above ground were destroyed by imperial order, 00:28 worshipers met in catacomb chapels. 00:31 By AD 200, Christians had carved some 600 miles of tombs in the 00:37 volcanic rock in and around Rome. 00:39 Eventually, the catacombs expanded into honeycombs of 00:43 galleries with staircases and multiple levels. 00:47 Romans preferred cremation, but Christians followed the practice 00:50 of interring the dead in catacombs, which they called 00:53 coemeteria, or sleeping places, to suggest that, for a 00:57 Christian, death is merely a sleep before the resurrection. 01:02 Did you know that Jesus plainly taught that death is a sleep? 01:07 In fact, all of scripture confirms that it is an 01:10 unconscious sleep until the Resurrection at Christ's Return. 01:14 So why is there so much confusion, even among 01:17 Christians, over what happens when we die? 01:20 And how can you protect yourself against some of the potentially 01:24 dangerous delusions about death in the last days? 01:33 Doug: There is a jellyfish called the Turritopsis dohrnii. 01:37 It's a species of jellyfish 01:39 that's known as the "immortal 01:41 jellyfish" because it's got this 01:43 remarkable ability to regenerate 01:45 its cells. 01:47 Can you imagine that? 01:48 And if it's injured, it kind of 01:49 goes back to its embryonic 01:52 state, and it's almost like it 01:54 can control its own stem cells and regenerates. 01:57 Now, they might get eaten by a turtle, but they don't die from 02:01 old age. 02:03 Scientists are spending, and even some millionaires are 02:07 personally spending millions of dollars to find out what they 02:11 can do to reverse the aging process. 02:14 People go through exercise regimes and take supplements and 02:19 spend a lot of money trying to do all they can to prolong these 02:23 lives because we know that if you live long enough, you'll 02:27 die, with very few exceptions. 02:31 Now, there are some exceptions in the Bible of people that did 02:34 not die. 02:36 "Enoch walked with God, and he was not, because God took him." 02:41 And then you've got Elijah that did not die. 02:43 He went to heaven in a chariot of fire. 02:47 The angels caught him up. 02:49 Now, you can read in Revelation 14--it talks about 02:53 this subject. 02:55 And this is in verse 13. 02:57 It says, "Then I heard a voice 02:58 from heaven saying, 'Write: 03:01 Blessed are the dead who die in 03:03 the Lord from now on.' 03:06 'Yes,' says the Spirit, 'that 03:07 they may rest from their labors, 03:10 and their works follow them.'" 03:12 So here it's talking about, "Blessed are those who die from 03:16 now on, that they may rest." 03:17 You read later that "those who worship the beast and its image 03:20 have no rest day or night." 03:23 But what happens when you die? 03:26 Do you go right to heaven? 03:28 Do you go right to the other place? 03:30 Do you go to purgatory or limbo or Abraham's bosom? 03:33 There's a lot of confusion about what happens when you die. 03:37 If you walk through the typical church graveyard, you're going 03:41 to see all these tombstones, and you'll find there's even 03:44 disagreement written on the tombstones. 03:47 One tombstone will say, "RIP." 03:50 You remember--what's that mean? 03:52 Rest in peace. 03:54 And they'll say, "Our dear mother is now resting in the 03:57 arms of Jesus, awaiting the resurrection trump." 04:01 Then you walk down two or three tombstones that say, "Our dear 04:03 mother is now walking the golden street singing with the angels." 04:07 And you go, "Is she resting or is she walking down the streets? 04:12 What happens?" 04:14 What is the definition of "death" according to the Bible? 04:17 It says in 2 Kings 20, verse 1, "You shall die, and NOT live." 04:25 Dying is the opposite of living. 04:28 Living is a consciousness of life and activity. 04:31 Death is the absence of all that. 04:33 You don't know anything. 04:34 You're not doing anything. 04:35 You're dead. 04:37 Keep that in mind. 04:39 Again, "The soul that sins," 04:42 will do what? 04:44 Will burn for ever and ever. 04:46 It says, "The soul that sins will die." 04:49 You know John 3:16? 04:51 "For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son, that 04:54 whoever believes in Him should not perish but have 04:58 everlasting life." 04:59 What are the two options that Jesus gives us? 05:02 Perish or everlasting life. 05:05 Romans 6:23, "The wages of sin is an altered state," or "The 05:11 wages of sin are death." 05:14 The first one who lied about that was the devil when he told 05:17 Adam and Eve, "You'll not really die." 05:20 And that's been repeated in many pulpits around the world. 05:24 Number two, do the dead come back to converse with or haunt 05:29 the living? 05:30 Should Christians be afraid of ghosts? 05:33 What does the Bible say? 05:35 "The living," and this here is from Ecclesiastes 05:38 9, written by King Solomon. 05:39 Ecclesiastes 9. I'll read verses 5, 6, and 10. 05:42 "The living know that they'll die; but the dead know?" 05:47 What's their IQ? 05:49 Zero. They don't know anything. 05:53 "They have no more reward in anything done under the sun," 05:56 meaning this life. 05:57 "Also their love, their hatred, their envy have now PERISHED; 06:03 nevermore will they have a share in anything done under the sun." 06:07 They don't come back and haunt. 06:09 There is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave 06:15 where you're going. 06:17 Now, if those are--if that term's clear, please say amen. 06:20 What words could God use to say that the dead don't know 06:24 anything that He did not use? 06:27 And you could look at Psalm 146, verse 3 and 4. 06:29 It says, "Put not your trust in princes, neither in the Son 06:32 of Man, in whom there is no help. 06:34 His breath goes forth; in that very day his thoughts perish." 06:40 He doesn't think anything. 06:41 All through the Bible, it says, "The dead do not praise 06:44 the Lord." 06:45 Number three, what happens at death? 06:50 The Bible makes it pretty clear. 06:52 It says, and this is from Ecclesiastes 12, verse 7, "Then 06:56 the dust will RETURN to the earth as it was, and the spirit 07:02 will RETURN to God who gave it." 07:04 Okay, you're thinking right there, 07:06 "There you got it, Pastor Doug. 07:07 The spirit returns to God." 07:10 What is that spirit? 07:12 What is that word "spirit?" 07:14 Do you know it says, "God breathed into Adam the breath of 07:17 life, and he became a living soul." 07:19 That is the exact same word you see here in Ecclesiastes 12. 07:23 It is the Hebrew word ruach, and it means wind, breath. 07:28 God breathed into him. 07:30 When a person dies, the breath returns to God. 07:33 Ecclesiastes here, he says, "Whether you're good or bad, dog 07:37 or cat." 07:38 It doesn't matter what it is, the breath of life returns to 07:41 God who gave it. 07:42 It's not talking about some ghost that flies 07:44 off that's conscious. 07:45 It's just saying the power of life. 07:47 "The Lord God formed man out of 07:49 the dust of the ground, and 07:51 He breathed into his nostrils 07:53 the breath of life." 07:54 That is that word ruach, which means spirit. 07:57 You have a similar word in Greek for that breath of life or 08:01 that spirit. 08:02 It's the word pneuma. 08:04 Now, when someone--the word "pneuma" means a wind. 08:08 Any of you men ever worked with pneumatic tools? 08:11 Now you got all these power batteries you clip on 08:13 everything, we don't use pneumatic tools near as much. 08:16 But that meant that they were driven by a compressor, air. 08:20 And if you get the disease of the lungs, it's 08:22 called pneumonia. 08:24 Pneuma meant-- it's translated spirit, but it 08:27 meant wind. 08:29 And--because it was a breathing problem. 08:31 So it's the same word. 08:33 It's just talking about the breath of life. 08:34 It's not conscious. 08:36 And when you die, you've got creation in reverse. 08:40 The elements return to the earth. 08:42 Probably worth a $1.98 in calcium, magnesium, and who 08:46 knows what. 08:47 And the spirit returns to God who gave it. 08:50 Okay, number four, where do the dead go when they die? 08:53 You're going to see why this is so important to understand in 08:55 the last days. 08:57 So where do they go? 08:58 It tells you clearly. 09:00 Job says in chapter 21, verse 32, it says, "Yet he will 09:04 be," what? 09:05 "Brought to the GRAVE, and will--vigil will be kept over 09:10 the TOMB." 09:12 I believe there's angels-- guardian angels that watch the 09:15 spot where someone perishes, and they'll raise them back up, but 09:18 they remain in the tomb. 09:20 The devil is setting people up to think they're going to talk 09:23 to the dead right away. 09:25 Do the dead ever come back to life? 09:28 Well, yes, they do. 09:30 It says in John chapter 5:28, Jesus is very clear, "The hour 09:34 is coming in which all that are in the graves will hear His 09:37 voice & come forth--those who have done good, the RESURRECTION 09:40 of life, & those that have done evil, the RESURRECTION 09:43 of damnation." 09:44 How many Resurrections? 09:46 Two. 09:48 Paul tells us the dead in Christ rise first in 1 Thessalonians 09:50 chapter 4. 09:51 And so we need to know that there are two separate 09:54 Resurrections, and yes, there is going to be life and there are 09:58 going to be rewards, but it hasn't happened yet. 10:01 The Bible tells us that Jesus 10:03 Christ is the one that has the keys. 10:04 You can read in Revelation 1:18, 10:06 "I have the keys of Hades," the 10:08 word "Hades" there means the 10:10 grave, "and Death." 10:12 Only Jesus can unlock the grave. 10:14 The demons could not raise Samuel for King Saul to view. 10:19 The devil does not have the power of resurrection. 10:21 He can counterfeit it, but he doesn't have that power. 10:25 Number six, how does the Bible repeatedly refer to death? 10:30 What terminology does it use? 10:33 You look in John chapter 11. 10:35 It says, "Our friend Lazarus," what? 10:39 "SLEEPS, but I go that I might wake him up." 10:42 The disciples said, "Oh, Lord, don't wake him up. 10:43 If he's sleeping, that's good, he'll get better, 10:45 he needs to rest." 10:46 And Jesus, "No, you don't understand." 10:48 Jesus spoke of his what? His death. 10:52 They thought he was talking about speaking--taking rest 10:54 in sleep. 10:56 Then Jesus said to them plainly, "Lazarus is," what? 10:59 He is dead. 11:02 Dead, dead, dead. 11:06 Lazarus had been dead four days, and when they said, "Roll away 11:09 the stone," Martha protested and said, "Lord, you're sure this is 11:12 a good idea? 11:13 He's already begun to decompose, and it's going to smell 11:16 very bad. 11:17 This is not going to be pleasant." 11:19 But the Bible says Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and 11:22 the life. 11:24 Trust Me." 11:25 She said, "I know he'll rise in the Resurrection at the 11:27 last day." 11:29 Jesus said, "Trust Me." 11:31 And they rolled away the stone, and Jesus said, "Lazarus, 11:35 come forth." 11:36 And I heard one commentator say, "If Jesus had not specified 11:38 Lazarus, every grave in the world would have opened up." 11:41 If the Word of God said, "Come forth," it would have all 11:42 come forth. 11:44 But He said, "Lazarus, come forth." 11:45 And it says, "He who had died came out bound hand & foot," he 11:49 had been embalmed with graveclothes, "& his face was 11:51 wrapped about with a cloth. 11:53 And Jesus said to them, 'Loose him, & let him go.'" 11:57 Now listen very carefully: there are about a dozen resurrections 12:04 in the Bible. 12:07 Elijah resurrected a boy. 12:10 Elisha resurrected a boy. 12:12 Jesus resurrected Moses, because Moses appears in heaven. 12:17 The daughter of Jairus was resurrected. 12:20 Peter resurrected Dorcas. 12:23 Lazarus is resurrected. 12:25 Paul resurrects Eutychus. 12:27 Jesus resurrects the widow of Nain's son. 12:31 And I'm probably leaving a couple out, but there's--I've 12:34 counted--about a dozen resurrections in the Bible. 12:37 Are you aware--now, if someone you know had been dead for two 12:41 or three days in our world and the doctors declared them really 12:44 dead, and they were even buried, and then they came out healthy 12:49 and alive, every broadcaster in the country would want to talk 12:53 to Lazarus, am I right? 12:55 There would be every media crew that you could think of all 12:58 clamoring for a space with a microphone shoved up in his 13:01 face, and what would be the question? 13:05 "What happened? 13:06 What did you experience?" 13:09 How much does the Bible say these resurrected people said 13:13 about what they knew at death? 13:16 Nothing. 13:18 Now, someone's going to ask me about the parable of the rich 13:20 man and Lazarus. 13:21 Maybe Pastor Ross and I'll talk about that. 13:23 We'll follow up. Maybe we'll do that question. 13:25 Nobody resurrected ever said a word about what it was like to 13:28 be resurrected. 13:30 Don't you think that's strange? Why? 13:32 "The living know they'll die; the dead know not anything." 13:37 1 Thessalonians 4:14, "If we believe that Jesus died and rose 13:41 again, even so God will bring with Him those who SLEEP 13:48 in Jesus." 13:49 And if you look in the book of Job 14, verse 12, "So man lies 13:54 down and does not rise." 13:56 Is that clear? 13:58 "Till the heavens are no more." 13:59 The Bible says, "When Jesus comes, the heavens will depart 14:01 as a scroll." 14:03 "Till the heavens are no more, nor will they awake nor be 14:05 roused from their sleep." 14:08 So all the dead who have ever died are where? 14:13 They're asleep. 14:15 Number seven, but isn't it true the soul is immortal? 14:19 Is that what the Bible says? 14:20 Listen to what the Bible says. 14:21 It's like a dictionary definition in Ezekiel 18, verse 14:24 4, "The soul who sins will DIE." 14:30 Death is the absence of life. 14:33 And again, Job 4:17, "Can," what? 14:39 "MORTAL man be more righteous than God?" 14:42 Does man have immortality or is immortal? 14:45 Can you show me a verse in the Bible that says you have an 14:48 immortal soul? 14:51 There is no verse. 14:53 Matter of fact, the word "immortal" only appears one time 14:57 in the Bible, and it's in connection with God. 15:00 Listen to what the Bible says here in Matthew 10, verse 28: 15:03 "Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. 15:08 But rather fear Him," that's capital H-I-M. 15:11 That's God. 15:12 "Who is able to do," what? 15:14 "DESTROY both soul and body in hell." 15:21 Now, there is a lake of fire. 15:24 I believe in hell. 15:26 "Every one man is rewarded according to his works." 15:28 But what ultimately happens to the soul in hell? 15:32 Destroy. 15:33 God does not immortalize sinners. 15:37 It's the devil that spreads that lie. 15:39 Who has immortality, according to Paul, alone? 15:43 1 Timothy 6:15 and 16. 15:46 "The King of kings, the Lord of lords, who ALONE 15:51 has IMMORTALITY." 15:53 Who has immortality alone? 15:55 God. 15:56 See, eternal life is a gift. 15:59 You don't already have it. 16:01 You get eternal life through faith. 16:03 "Whoever believes in Him should not perish but have 16:06 eternal life." 16:07 If you don't believe in Him, you're mortal. 16:09 God told Adam and Eve, "If you disobey, you will surely die." 16:15 Isn't that what it says? 16:17 Number eight, will human beings ever be given immortality? 16:22 Yes, we were just talking about this. 16:24 You can read here in 1 Thessalonians 4:16. 16:27 Now, these verses I'm going to share with you--you've heard 16:30 the expression "slam dunk"? 16:32 There are some verses that are what I call a slam-dunk verse, 16:35 meaning it's just without question. 16:38 That it settles the issue. 16:40 We got a couple of them coming here. 16:42 1 Thessalonians 4:16, "For the Lord Himself will descend from 16:45 heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with 16:49 a trumpet of God. 16:51 And the DEAD in Christ will RISE first." 16:54 When do the dead rise? 16:57 When the Lord descends from heaven. 16:59 Has He descended from heaven with a shout yet? 17:03 They have not risen yet. 17:06 1 Corinthians 15:52, "For the 17:08 trumpet will sound, and the dead 17:10 will be raised INCORRUPTIBLE, 17:12 and we will be changed." 17:13 When does that happen? 17:15 When the trumpet sounds, when the Lord descends. 17:17 "For this corruptible," 17:19 "corruptible" means these bodies 17:20 that grow old and die and decompose. 17:22 "This corruptible must put on 17:24 INCORRUPTION," a body that is 17:25 eternal, "and this mortal must 17:27 put on IMMORTALITY." 17:29 Now, let me talk about this for just a moment. 17:33 What kind of bodies do we get in the Resurrection? 17:37 Are we ghosts? 17:38 How many of you have seen, you know, some of the medieval 17:41 pictures of people resurrected and they say, "You become an 17:44 angel," and you become a naked little angel, and you play harps 17:47 on clouds? 17:48 And they think they're kind of half-spirit, half-real. 17:51 When Jesus rose from the dead, was He real? 17:56 What did He do to prove He was real? 17:59 He said, "I'm tangible. 18:00 Touch me. 18:02 Feel me. 18:03 A spirit does not have flesh and bone as you see that I have." 18:07 And then on two occasions, He said, "I'm hungry. 18:10 You got anything to eat?" 18:11 And they said, "Well, we got some honeycomb and some fish." 18:13 He said, "Oh, that sounds good." 18:14 Another time He's by the lake, and He says, "Children, have you 18:17 caught any food?" 18:18 And He--they came in, He had breakfast cooking, and they 18:20 brought some fish. 18:22 He had some bread baking, and they brought the fish, and they 18:23 had fish sandwiches or something. 18:25 But He said He was real. 18:28 Did God make Adam and Eve real? 18:32 The devil messed things up. 18:33 God is going to complete His plan. 18:35 He's going to do what he planned for this world. 18:37 He's not going to let the devil mess it up. 18:38 The Bible says we'll go forth, we'll plant vineyards and eat 18:41 the fruit from them. 18:42 We'll build houses and inhabit them. 18:45 The children will play with the animals, if you read Isaiah 11. 18:49 The Bible is very clear that the earth made new is going to be 18:52 real, and God is going to resurrect us with these 18:56 glorified, real bodies that have senses, except now we've got, 19:00 you know, just five senses. 19:01 In heaven, we'll have the sixth sense. 19:04 Before we sinned, we could see angels. 19:07 We've lost that perception. 19:11 It's going to be restored. 19:12 Do you know they're around us right now? 19:15 Elisha knew that. 19:17 His servant lost faith one day, and 19:18 he said, "Lord, open his eyes." 19:20 And his eyes were open. 19:21 He saw the mountains were filled with 19:22 chariots and horses of fire. 19:24 There's a whole spiritual dimension around us now that we 19:26 just don't perceive, but it's very real. 19:29 "As in Adam," I'm giving you 1 Corinthians 15, verse 22. 19:32 "As in Adam all die, even so in 19:34 Christ shall all be made alive." 19:37 Now he tells you when it's going to happen. 19:39 "But each one in its own order: 19:40 Christ the firstfruits," 19:42 Jesus was risen first, 19:44 "afterward those who are 19:45 Christ's at His coming." 19:50 Can you say that with me? 19:51 "Afterward those who are Christ's," when? 19:55 "At His coming." 19:56 When are they made alive? 19:58 Jesus said, "Here's the order: at His coming." 20:01 They're not made alive as soon as they die. 20:04 They're sleeping a peaceful--they are R-I-P. 20:07 Resting in peace. 20:08 A lot of the early church fathers knew this. 20:10 Martin Luther knew it. 20:12 He said, "Jesus will come and knock on my grave and wake 20:14 me up." 20:15 And a lot of the others understood these things. 20:17 Number nine, so if the dead cannot converse with the living, 20:22 what did the witch conjure up for King Saul? 20:27 It says, "I saw three unclean spirits. 20:30 They are the SPIRITS of DEMONS, performing signs." 20:35 Jesus said in the last days, the devil is going to have signs 20:37 that will be so convincing that if it were possible, even the 20:41 very elect would be deceived. 20:43 He said there'll be false christs and false prophets that 20:46 will do many great wonders. 20:49 These are wonderful, amazing things, but they're 20:52 evil spirits. 20:53 We should not be deceived by this. 20:55 You know what it says in 1 Chronicles chapter 10, verse 13? 20:59 You realize the story of King Saul is not only in 1 Samuel. 21:02 It's also in 1 Chronicles. 21:03 There's two parallel stories. 21:05 Here's what it says: "So Saul died for his unfaithfulness 21:09 which he had committed against the Lord, because he did not 21:12 keep the Word of the Lord, and also because he consulted a 21:15 medium for guidance." 21:17 He went to a spiritist. 21:20 It wasn't Samuel the prophet he talked to. 21:22 It was the devil. 21:24 And in the last days, people who think that you die and you go 21:32 right to heaven or hell, they don't believe the Bible. 21:34 But if they got grandma coming back and talking to them, if 21:38 they got a spouse that died, they'll think, "Oh, I got 21:42 a message." 21:44 And they said, "Don't worry, Jesus didn't really mean that. 21:46 People have misunderstood what it says there in the Bible." 21:49 And there's going to be deception that's going to 21:50 go out. 21:52 Evil spirits posing as the dead are going to be 21:56 convincing people. 21:57 And unless we know how to rebuke those spirits when they come to 22:01 us, we're set up for a great deception. 22:04 Now, I've got to just say something before I close. 22:06 I know there are people here, there are people watching, you 22:09 have loved ones that have died, and you felt like you sense 22:12 their presence. 22:13 You've maybe felt like they tried to communicate or give you 22:15 some kind of sign from the other side. 22:18 I've lost some loved ones--my mother, my father, my brother, 22:22 a son. 22:23 And you've got your mind filled with memories and love and 22:28 affection for this person. 22:30 And sometimes you're going to have impressions, and that's 22:33 normal that your mind would think that. 22:36 I remember after my brother died, I used to always be able 22:38 to pick up the phone and just call him. 22:40 He's my older brother. 22:42 And one day I picked up the phone to call him, and I'd 22:44 forgot he had been dead for a year. 22:46 I just forgot. 22:48 And I thought--I felt, like, his presence. 22:51 Well, it's just my memories, thinking about my brother. 22:54 So don't let your mind play tricks on you. 22:57 If you're going to go by anything, go by the Bible. 23:00 Amen? 23:01 Number 10, why does Satan want us to believe that the demons 23:05 are spirits of the dead? 23:07 "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show 23:11 great signs and wonders DECEIVE, if possible, even the 23:15 very elect." 23:17 And in the last days, these unclean spirits like frogs are 23:21 going to come out of the mouth, the beast, and the false 23:23 prophet, go forth to the leaders of the world, and convince them 23:27 to go against this final battle against God's people. 23:30 They're going to be led by evil spirits because they think that 23:32 they're--they're going to come and appear to be Saint Mary or 23:37 Joseph or Paul or Christopher. 23:39 You know, there's some churches that prayed to dead saints. 23:42 Are they really saints that are giving them impressions? 23:46 Is it really Mary that's appearing? 23:49 A lot of people misunderstand these things. 23:51 Nowhere in the Bible does it say that she ascended to heaven, but 23:55 some people stake their whole life on that. 23:58 God told Adam and Eve, "In the day you eat thereof, you will 24:01 surely die." 24:02 The dead are waiting, good or bad, in the graves for 24:05 the Resurrection. 24:06 It was the devil who said, "You will not surely die." 24:10 That means, "You will not really die." 24:12 So the question is, who are we going to believe? 24:14 Is anyone able to overcome Satan's last-day deceptions? 24:18 Yes. Who? 24:20 It says in Isaiah 8:19, "And when they say to you, 'Seek 24:24 those that are mediums and wizards, who whisper and 24:27 mutter,' should the people SEEK their God? 24:30 Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? 24:33 To the law and the testimony! 24:34 If they do not speak according to this WORD, it is because 24:38 there is no LIGHT in them." 24:39 Friends, it needs to be based upon the Word of God. 24:42 Amen? 24:44 And as long as we know Jesus and we're following Him, we will 24:48 be safe. 24:53 Doug: One of the most confusing subjects in our world today is 24:56 the big question: what happens when we die? 25:00 It seems like everywhere you turn, someone out there has a 25:03 different opinion about the afterlife, whether heaven, hell, 25:06 purgatory, limbo, or eternal nonexistence. 25:10 Well, are you tired of all the contradictory and 25:12 confusing messages? 25:14 Wouldn't you like to know what the Bible really says once and 25:18 for all? 25:19 To help answer all of your questions, "Amazing Facts" would 25:22 like to send you a very special free gift. 25:24 It's called "The Afterlife Mystery." 25:27 This attractive full-color magazine provides simple but 25:31 vital biblical facts to help you decode death, hell, and eternal 25:35 life amid all of the confusing deceptions today. 25:39 In a captivating, contemporary way, it presents powerful 25:43 lessons about what happens when we die and, more importantly, 25:46 how you can be ready for eternity. 25:48 To get your free copy, call the phone number on the screen and 25:51 ask for offer number 839 or visit the web address. 25:55 And after you read this incredible resource, be sure and 25:58 share it with a friend. 26:04 Doug: Do you long to experience the peace that can only come 26:08 from our loving heavenly Father? 26:10 Do you desire your heart to be clean and at rest? 26:13 Jesus stands before you right now with His arms open wide to 26:17 receive you. 26:19 Why not ask Him into your life right now? 26:21 Why not receive Him now as your personal Savior? 26:25 Take that first step and say, "Yes, Lord, I choose You." 26:29 He is ready and waiting to receive you. 26:34 female announcer: Let's face it, it's not always easy to 26:36 understand everything you read in the Bible. 26:39 With over 700,000 words contained in 66 books, the Bible 26:43 can generate a lot of questions. 26:45 To get biblical, straightforward answers, call into Bible Answers 26:49 Live, a live nationwide call-in radio program where you can talk 26:53 to Pastor Doug Bachelor and ask him your most 26:55 difficult Bible questions. 26:57 For times and stations in your area or to 26:59 listen to answers online, visit 27:01 bal.amazingfacts.org. 27:07 Doug: Thank you for tuning in to "Amazing Facts." 27:09 Have you ever wanted to study the teachings of the Bible in an 27:13 easy-to-understand, step-by-step way? 27:16 The "Amazing Facts" Bible school offers free, simple-to-follow 27:19 lessons that will guide you through all of the vital 27:22 teachings of scripture. 27:24 Visit amazingbiblestudies.com to sign up for your free lessons. 27:29 They're available by mail or online. 27:32 Studies are also offered in multiple languages. 27:35 ♪♪♪ 27:42 ♪♪♪ 27:48 announcer: Don't forget to request today's free 27:49 offer, it's sure to be a blessing. 27:51 And thank you for your continued support 27:54 as we take the gospel of Jesus Christ 27:56 to the world. 27:57 We hope you'll join us next week as we delve 27:59 deep into the Word of God to explore more 28:02 Amazing Facts. 28:04 ♪♪♪ 28:14 ♪♪♪ 28:24 announcer: This presentation was brought to you by the friends of 28:26 the "Amazing Facts" Ministry. |
