02:25 I decided early in my life, I said: "Not only do I not want to 02:28 believe that, I can't afford to believe that because if there is 02:31 a God, He is the meanest being in the cosmos." 02:35 Here I am, you know, just a crummy little kid, and I can't 02:38 help my bad behavior, and He made me. 02:42 No one asked me to vote on being made or not. 02:44 And He made me, and He says: "If you can't be good," and I found 02:47 that very difficult, "so I'm going to burn you forever." 02:52 I could never love God. 02:53 I thought: "If there is a God, I hate Him." 02:57 But when I learned the Bible truth on this subject, it set me 03:01 free where I was able to finally love God. 03:04 That's why it's important to me. 03:05 You got two options: life or death. 03:09 Romans 6:23: "The wages of sin is," what? 03:14 "Eternal life in flames." 03:15 It's not what Paul said. 03:17 The wage, the penalty, the reward for sin is death absence 03:20 of life. 03:24 What was the first lie that was ever spoken? 03:28 God told Eve: "If you eat the forbidden fruit, you will 03:30 surely die." 03:32 He didn't just say: "You'll die." 03:33 He said: "You will surely die." 03:34 That means like the wicked witch, dead, dead, very dead. 03:40 "And the serpent said to the woman, 'You will not 03:43 surely die.'" 03:45 You'll either live forever in heaven or you'll live forever in 03:47 hell with me, and I'm in charge. 03:51 Bible doesn't say that. 03:53 The first lie: "Then the serpent said to the woman, 'You'll not 03:57 surely die.'" 03:58 He lied. 04:00 "What will happen to the wicked in hellfire?" 04:02 Answer, Psalm 37, let's find out what does the Bible say is the 04:06 reward of the wicked. 04:08 Don't worry, we're going to finish talking about the reward 04:10 of the righteous. 04:11 I want to end on a good note: "Yet, a little while and the 04:14 wicked will be no more." 04:17 Does it say, he'll be in a torture chamber somewhere or 04:19 no more? 04:21 "No more" means you cease to exist. 04:23 "The wicked will," what? 04:25 "PERISH; into smoke they will VANISH away," diffuse, 04:29 disappear, gone. 04:32 Again, you read in Malachi chapter 4, verse 1 and 3: "The 04:36 day is coming, burning like an oven, and ... 04:40 all," how many? 04:41 "All who do wickedly will be stubble." 04:44 This is talking about what the Jews used to do to the fields 04:47 after harvest. 04:48 They still do it in California, the rice fields around us 04:51 in Sacramento. 04:52 They set them on fire. 04:54 And they not only burn up the stubble on top, but he says: 04:56 "It's not just the stubble, it's going to burn up the root in 04:58 the branch." 05:00 If you burn up the root of a tree, it's not coming back. 05:03 It says: "It will burn them up." 05:05 When something's burnt up, what's left? 05:08 Nothing. 05:10 "You will trample the wicked, for they will be ashes under the 05:14 soles of your feet." 05:15 Doesn't say that they're still burning. 05:18 You're not going to be walking around and then go, "Oh, that's 05:20 hot, you know, like you're a Fijian firewalker. 05:23 They're gone. 05:24 They're burned up, and He's going to create a new heavens 05:27 and a new earth on that. 05:30 Number 6: "Where will hellfire be located?" 05:34 Now this surprises people. 05:36 A lot of folks are taught to believe--now, I should pause 05:39 here, and you'll understand why. 05:41 There are four words in the Bible that are translated 05:43 as hell. 05:45 The most common word in the Old Testament is the word "Sheol." 05:49 Sheol, that simply means the grave. 05:52 It's a Hebrew word that means the grave. 05:54 He will go down--people think that hell is the burning 05:57 volcanic cavern down there somewhere because it says: "Down 06:01 in Sheol," because the Jews buried their dead where some of 06:05 the pagans cremated their dead, some even above ground. 06:09 But the Jews buried them, so they always said: "Down 06:11 in Sheol." 06:13 Then you've got the word "Hades," 06:16 which is from Greek mythology. 06:18 Hades was a place that was ruled by the god Pluto, who was in 06:21 charge of the Hounds of Hell, and a lot of our myths about the 06:25 devil come from this concept of Pluto. 06:29 Then you had the word "Tartarus." 06:32 Tartarus just means a place of darkness. 06:35 It's only used one time in the Bible. 06:38 Then you've got the word "Gehenna." 06:40 Now this is one that has mixed people up because outside of 06:43 Jerusalem, they've got something called the Valley of Hinnom. 06:46 It's also Gehenna, same word, same place. 06:50 It was the city dump. 06:53 And it was a very steep valley, rocky, not a good place 06:55 to build. 06:57 It wasn't far from the city gates. 06:58 People would take the refuse out of the city, they'd dump it in 07:01 the Valley of Hinnom. 07:03 Now one reason they--the Valley of Hinnom was the city dump is 07:07 because some of the earlier kings of Israel had turned from 07:10 God, and they had set up pagan idols there and made it a holy 07:14 place to idols and pagan gods. 07:17 And so the godly kings came along and they said: "We are 07:19 going to desecrate it and make it a dump." 07:23 Remember Nebuchadnezzar said that "whoever doesn't worship 07:27 the God of Daniel, his house is going to be torn down and turned 07:30 into a dump." 07:32 That was one of the things they did to desecrate a place. 07:35 And so it was full of worms 'cause, you know, they'd throw 07:40 the dead animals that were unclean in there, and they'd 07:42 have baskets that were smoldering. 07:44 They'd burn it to keep the gasses down. 07:46 And so Jesus said: "You're better cutting off your hand or 07:50 plucking out an eye and going to heaven maimed than having your 07:54 eye and your hand and your foot and going to Gehenna where the 07:57 worm does not die and the fire is not quenched." 08:02 What Jesus was saying is you're better than--does everyone 08:06 understand what hyperbole is, a metaphor? 08:09 Does anyone here believe that we're going to go to heaven 08:11 missing an eyeball, a foot, or a hand? 08:14 Jesus is saying: "If you've got a sin that is as close as your 08:17 hand, your foot, or your eye, and it's going to make you be 08:20 lost, cut it off. 08:22 As hard as that might be, you're better off entering heaven 08:25 maimed than going with a full body to Gehenna, the dump where 08:30 the wicked will be punished." 08:33 And He points to the valley right there outside the city 08:35 where it's smoldering, and it's full of worms that do not die, 08:38 maggots that are eating. 08:40 It's not talking about the people are always going to be 08:42 eaten by worms forever and ever and ever. 08:45 It's a metaphor. 08:47 So where will hell burn? 08:49 Is it in a cavern way down yonder somewhere? 08:53 The Bible says, you can read 2 Peter chapter 3: "The elements 08:58 will melt with fervent heat: and both the EARTH and the works 09:01 that are in it will be," what? 09:03 "Burned up." 09:05 It's going to be right here. 09:06 Again, you can read where it tells us in Revelation 20, verse 09:10 9: "They went up on the breadth of the EARTH and surrounded the 09:16 camp of the saints, the beloved city," that's the new Jerusalem. 09:19 "And FIRE comes down from God out of heaven and devours them." 09:24 I don't want to get too close to this virtual reality because I 09:26 don't want to--see here, ow. 09:31 So where is hell going to burn? 09:33 The fire comes down on the earth. 09:35 God is going to purify this world with fire and on the 09:39 purified ashes. 09:40 That's why it says: "You'll go forth from the New Jerusalem, 09:43 you'll tread upon the wicked for they are ashes under the soles 09:45 of your feet because blessed are the meek 'cause they will 09:49 inherit," what? 09:50 "The earth," but it's okay because God's making a 09:52 new heaven. 09:54 The word "heaven" there doesn't mean where he lives. 09:55 It means a new atmosphere and a new earth. 09:58 Our atmosphere is polluted. 10:00 Our earth is polluted. 10:01 He's going to recreate this planet. 10:02 And God had a plan in the beginning. 10:04 He is going to finish his perfect plan. 10:06 Do you believe it, friends? 10:09 "They went upon the breadth of the EARTH They surrounded the 10:12 camp of the saints, the beloved city. 10:13 And FIRE came down from God out of heaven and devoured them." 10:18 So it's coming down to where? 10:19 On the earth. 10:21 So another big myth about hell. 10:24 Who is large and in charge of hell? 10:27 Is it the devil? 10:29 How many of you have heard jokes about, you know, Saint Peter's 10:31 in charge of the Golden Gate, and everybody's got to go by 10:33 Saint Peter to get in? 10:35 And I've heard some really funny jokes about Saint Peter checking 10:37 people out as they're on their way into heaven. 10:40 And then they got the devil is in charge of hell. 10:44 How many of you have heard that before? 10:46 And that's why he ostensibly has got this big pitchfork, trident. 10:50 It's like a big barbecue down there. 10:52 He makes sure people cooked evenly, he flips them every now 10:54 and then. 10:55 I don't know what he's doing. 10:57 But is that what the Bible teaches? 10:59 The devil's in charge of hell. 11:01 And, of course, we've learned the devil doesn't look 11:02 like that. 11:04 No, Bible says: "The devil is as afraid of hell. 11:07 Hell was prepared for him. 11:09 The devil, who deceived them, WAS CAST into the lake of fire 11:14 and brimstone." 11:15 Now, why does it call it a lake? 11:18 It's not like, you know, Lake Genezareth or the Great Lakes or 11:22 anything like that. 11:23 At the end of the 1000 years, we have a lesson on this, New 11:27 Jerusalem comes down from God out of heaven, settles on 11:30 the earth. 11:33 All the wicked who've ever lived are resurrected. 11:36 Satan sees all the wicked who've ever lived. 11:38 They're sometimes called Gog and Magog, and he rallies them 11:40 against a final assault against the City of God. 11:45 They are judged, Great White Throne Judgment. 11:47 The devil shows he hasn't changed. 11:49 And it says: "God then rains fire down." 11:53 And in the same way God rained water down to destroy the wicked 11:57 during the time of Noah until it floated the boat, God is going 12:02 to rain fire down outside the New Jerusalem. 12:05 Only those in the ark were saved, only those in the city 12:09 are saved, and it is going to form a lake. 12:11 Don't worry, the walls are big, and you'll be protected. 12:15 Because Jesus is Noah, and he built the city. 12:17 I mean, he's our Noah, so-to-speak. 12:19 And everybody on the outside is destroyed. 12:22 It's going to form a lake, and that lake, just like the old 12:25 flood purified the world, that fire is going to purify 12:28 the planet. 12:30 And then God will create a new heavens and a new earth. 12:32 Satan is not in charge of hell. 12:35 He is afraid of it. 12:37 He has come down with great wrath because he knows his time 12:40 is short. 12:41 You read in the book of 2 Peter and Jude: "The devils are kept 12:44 in everlasting chains of darkness." 12:47 When Jesus was casting out devils, the demons would speak 12:49 and they'd say: "We know who you are, Jesus, Son of God. 12:52 Have you come to torment us before the time?" 12:56 "Will the fires of hell ever go out?" 12:59 Or, here's a big question, does it burn forever? 13:02 That's what we want to know. 13:04 Isaiah 47, verse 14: "It shall NOT be a COAL to be warmed by, 13:12 nor a fire to sit before!" 13:15 Not even a warm coal left. 13:17 "You will trample the wicked," Malachi 4:3: "for their ashes 13:21 under the soles of your feet in the day that I do this,' says 13:24 the Lord of hosts." 13:26 It's burnt up. 13:28 Now, some of you are thinking, wait, Pastor Doug, doesn't the 13:31 Bible say: "unquenchable fire?" 13:34 It does, and it means exactly what it says. 13:38 When you see something in the Bible, you know what the key is 13:40 to understand any mystery in the Bible? 13:43 Let the Bible interpret itself. 13:45 God is the author. 13:46 He knows what He means by the words He uses. 13:48 Does that sound reasonable? 13:50 So what does the Bible mean by this? 13:52 Let's find out. 13:53 It uses the word "unquenchable fire." 13:56 Matthew 3, verse 12, Jesus said: "He will thoroughly clean out 14:00 the threshing floor and gather His wheat into the barn: but He 14:04 will BURN UP the chaff with unquenchable fire." 14:10 What does unquenchable fire mean? 14:13 Quench is a verb. 14:15 It means to extinguish. 14:17 There is nobody that is going to be putting out the fires 14:21 of hell. 14:22 There are no firemen in hell. 14:24 That would be putting it out. 14:26 There's nothing that can be done to put it out. 14:28 Let me prove it to you. 14:29 Jeremiah 17, verse 27, 14:32 here's a prophecy of Jeremiah. 14:34 He lived before the Babylonian captivity: 14:37 "But if you will not heed me to hallow the Sabbath day, 14:41 such as not carrying a burden 14:43 when entering the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, 14:46 then I will kindle a fire in its gates, and it will devour the 14:50 palaces of Jerusalem, and they will not be," what? 14:55 "Quenched." 14:56 Now, do you know what happened? 14:58 They didn't listen. 15:00 They did not repent. 15:01 Nebuchadnezzar came. 15:03 He destroyed the city. 15:04 He burnt the city. 15:05 The gates were burned. 15:07 No firemen showed up. 15:08 It was unquenchable fire. 15:12 The temple was burnt, unquenchable fire. 15:15 It was destroyed. 15:17 That just simply means that there's no active problem, 15:21 there's no active party involved in extinguishing it. 15:25 The work that the fire of hell does is eternal. 15:29 Doesn't come back again. 15:31 That's our next question. 15:33 "Doesn't the phrase 'eternal fire' mean unending?" 15:37 Well, you got to read things in their context. 15:40 Let's look at some examples. 15:42 "Sodom and Gomorrah," in Jude 1, verse 7, what does God mean by 15:45 eternal fire? 15:46 "Sodom and Gomorrah," and the cities around them, "they are 15:49 set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of," 15:53 what kind of fire? 15:55 "ETERNAL FIRE." 15:56 Now here's the question. 15:58 Are Sodom and Gomorrah still burning today? 16:01 Were the cities ever rebuilt? 16:04 Was the result of the fire eternal? 16:07 There was no forgiveness, no resurrection, no rebuilding. 16:11 This is what's going to happen to the fate of the loss. 16:13 It means the results of this fire is eternal. 16:17 I've got this plexiglas pulpit, ostensibly, hot enough, 16:21 it'll melt. 16:22 I know that because Pastor Doug was once in a juvenile hall, and 16:26 I wanted to escape. 16:28 And I got some matches, and I was able to burn the plexiglas 16:31 hinges so that I could get out of the juvenile hall. 16:34 So Plexiglas burns. 16:35 I know that. 16:38 So that's a very nice pulpit. 16:41 If we should toss that pulpit in a bonfire and burn it up, you 16:44 can say it was burnt with eternal fire because you will 16:46 never see that pulpit again. 16:49 See what I'm saying? 16:51 God is saying, the results of the fire are eternal. 16:53 He emphasizes that because right now, if you die and you're 16:57 saved, don't lose hope. 16:58 There's a resurrection. 17:00 But you know what God calls the destruction of the wicked? 17:03 The second death. 17:05 There is no resurrection. 17:07 Number 11: "When Revelation 20, verse 10 states that the wicked 17:12 will be tormented 'for ever.'" 17:13 Now this is probably the most difficult verse. 17:15 It says forever, Pastor Doug. 17:17 Doesn't that mean they're burnt forever? 17:19 Let the Bible interpret itself. 17:22 Sometimes God uses these terms, like I said in hyperbole, you've 17:26 got to use it in its context. 17:28 Can you find other examples in the Bible where God uses the 17:31 word "forever," but it obviously meant until they died? 17:35 Look at the story of Jonah. 17:36 How many know about Jonah? 17:38 How long was Jonah in the belly of the fish? 17:42 Three days and three nights. 17:43 We're going to read that in a second. 17:45 In Jonah chapter 2, when he prays, what does he say: "The 17:48 earth with its bars closed behind me FOREVER." 17:54 Now, if you were swallowed by a whale--by the way, it happened, 17:59 oh, about six months ago. 18:00 It's actually on YouTube. 18:01 You can see a guy was kayaking and a big whale came up, didn't 18:05 know he was there in the kayak, and swallowed him. 18:07 Spit him out again. 18:09 He was okay, shook up. 18:10 He's probably getting therapy right now, but it happened, and 18:15 you can see it for yourself. 18:17 So Jonah, now he was not swallowed by a Baleen whale, but 18:20 maybe a Humpback or Sperm whale that has the--they actually eat 18:24 squid, who knows? 18:25 Might not have been a whale. 18:27 God prepared a fish, it could have been anything. 18:29 And he--but how long was he there? 18:32 You read in Jonah chapter 1, 18:33 it says: "And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days 18:36 and three nights," a type of the sufferings of Christ. 18:40 Jesus said: "No sign will be given to this generation, but 18:43 the sign of Jonah," Matthew chapter 12: "For as Jonah was in 18:46 the belly of the great fish for three days and three nights, so 18:49 the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days 18:52 and three nights." 18:53 The heart of the earth is describing the sufferings of 18:55 Christ that began Thursday night in the tomb. 18:58 Jesus began suffering for our sins after the last supper, 19:02 Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night. 19:04 He rose Sunday morning, amen? 19:06 So Jonah, three days, three nights, he calls it "forever." 19:10 You know, Jesus suffered the way the lost will suffer. 19:14 It feels like an eternity. 19:15 Can you imagine being in a sea monster in the darkness three 19:18 days and three nights? 19:20 That whale might have had jellyfish for lunch, and then 19:23 you're in there with all that sushi in the darkness. 19:25 Can you--probably would have seemed like forever, amen? 19:28 How many of you have used that term? 19:30 You said: "Man, I haven't eaten in forever. 19:32 I haven't seen them in forever." 19:34 So, you look at the context. 19:36 Now when God promises us eternal life, we know from the context, 19:41 it's unending 'cause there's so many other passages. 19:44 Here's another one. 19:46 Hannah brings her son to the temple, and she says: "If you 19:49 give me a boy, I'll bring him to the Lord, that he might serve 19:52 before the Lord there in the temple forever." 19:56 Well, did she keep her promise? 19:58 Did Samuel go to the temple? 20:01 How long did he serve? 20:03 Rest of his life until he died. 20:06 Forever was when? 20:08 Until he died. 20:09 The Hebrews had a law that if you had a servant, after seven 20:12 years, you could let your Hebrew servant go free. 20:15 But if your Hebrew servant says: "You know, I love serving you. 20:17 I want to stay your servant." 20:19 He would go through a ritual, and it says: "And he will be 20:21 your servant forever." 20:24 What did that mean? 20:25 Till he dies, right? 20:28 So when it's talking about the wicked being destroyed in the 20:31 lake of fire, the reason it says: "day and night" is because 20:34 the devil is going to probably burn day and night. 20:37 But, you know, even ultimately the devil is burned up. 20:40 Read Ezekiel 28, it says: "Never shall you be any more forever." 20:47 He's going to destroy him. 20:49 "You will not be anymore," is the way that it actually reads. 20:53 He's gone, cease to exist. 20:55 Number 12: "Are both soul and body destroyed in hell?" 20:59 Now this is one, you got to hear this friends, people think, 21:03 well, yeah, Pastor, it's pretty clear the body burns up, but the 21:07 soul is tormented forever. 21:10 What did Jesus say? 21:12 It is so clear. 21:13 Are soul and body both destroyed in hell? 21:17 Christ said in Matthew chapter 10, verse 28: "Do not fear those 21:21 who kill the body, but they cannot kill the soul. 21:25 Rather fear him," meaning God, "who is able to destroy SOUL and 21:32 BODY in hell." 21:34 How much is destroyed in hell? 21:36 What did Jesus say? 21:37 "Soul and body," you're gone. 21:39 Remember he said: "You sin, you die. 21:42 Believe in me, you don't perish, you live. 21:46 You will be punished." 21:47 Everyone is punished according to what he deserves. 21:50 Do you know there are varying amounts of reward? 21:54 Sometimes Jesus said: "Great is your reward in heaven if you're 21:56 suffered, if you're persecuted for righteousness sake." 22:00 And Jesus concerning Judas, He said to Pilate: "It would have 22:04 been better for that man if he had not been born." 22:07 How'd you like to be Judas in the judgment and know you 22:09 betrayed Jesus or be Hitler or Pol Pot or some of these despots 22:15 of history? 22:16 There are varying degrees of reward. 22:18 I not only want to get to heaven, I want to have Him say: 22:21 "Great is your reward," amen? 22:23 Some of you are thinking: "I just want to get there." 22:26 Some of you are thinking: be honest: "How much sin can I have 22:30 and still get there?" 22:32 Wrong attitude. 22:34 You want to see how far away from the edge you can be, amen? 22:38 One more verse in Ezekiel. 22:39 It says: "The soul that sins, it will die." 22:42 That's like a dictionary definition. 22:44 Not just the body, "the soul that sins will die." 22:49 "For whom will hellfire be kindled?" 22:53 "Depart," Matthew 25:41: "Depart from Me, you cursed, into 22:57 everlasting fire prepared for," who? 23:01 "The DEVIL." 23:02 Hell is not designed for you. 23:04 If you go to hell, it's because you followed the wrong leader, 23:08 prepared for the devil and his angels. 23:10 There are good angels, and there are bad angels that are kept in 23:13 everlasting chains. 23:15 Number 14: "How does the Bible refer to God's destruction of 23:20 the wicked?" 23:22 The Bible tells us: "For the Lord ... 23:24 will be angry ... 23:25 that He might do His work, His awesome work, and bring to pass 23:28 His act, His UNUSUAL ACT." 23:32 God is a God of love and creation and life and blessing 23:35 and good. 23:36 He doesn't want anything to suffer. 23:38 Who here wants to see anything suffer? 23:41 But the Bible's pretty clear what the faith is. 23:44 Listen to the words. 23:47 What's going to happen to the wicked? 23:49 They are devoured, they are consumed. 23:53 They perish. 23:54 They are dead. 23:56 They are no more. 23:58 The second death, they're destroyed. 24:02 These are the terms the Bible uses. 24:04 There are no words in the English language, or even Hebrew 24:07 or Greek, that God can use it could be more definitive to 24:11 explain sin will not rise up again a second time. 24:15 God is not going to immortalize sinners. 24:18 Sinners do not have immortality. 24:20 God, the Bible says: "And God only has immortality," amen? 24:24 So this idea that sinners are immortalized, and they'll burn 24:28 through eternity comes from mythology and the church often 24:32 use it to manipulate and scare people and getting money and 24:36 getting them to do what they wanted to do. 24:38 But our God is a God of mercy and love. 24:40 "After sin and sinners are destroyed, what will we have to 24:45 look forward to?" 24:47 "Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for a new 24:51 heavens and a," what? 24:53 "A NEW EARTH wherein dwells righteousness." 24:58 It tells us that all things are going to be made new. 25:02 Revelation 21, verse 4, the Bible says: "God will wipe away 25:07 every tear from their eyes; there will be no more death." 25:11 How much death? 25:13 "There will be NO more crying," and I want you to say this 25:16 with me. 25:17 Do y'all see it on the screen? 25:18 "There will be NO more PAIN." 25:22 How many--how much pain will there be? 25:25 No more pain. 25:26 God is not going to immortalize sinners, and God is not going to 25:29 have a torture chamber off in the cosmos somewhere forever 25:33 and ever. 25:34 You're going to say: "I'm really sorry that my husband or my 25:37 family or my one of my kids is there burning forever and ever, 25:40 but I just don't care anymore, you know, because God just made 25:43 me feel good about it. 25:44 No, it says: "After the wicked are punished, he wipes away the 25:48 tears from our eyes." 25:51 There is a time following the 1000 years when we're going to 25:55 see the judgment of the wicked, and we're going to have natural 25:57 affection just like God. 25:59 It'll be heartbreaking. 26:00 But then it's going to take God, you might say, how could I ever 26:03 forget God will wipe away all the tears from our eyes, 26:05 friends, amen? 26:07 No more pain, suffering, or sorrow. 26:09 "Will the sin problem ever rise again?" 26:12 Nahum 1:9: "Affliction will NOT RISE up the second time. 26:17 'I create a new heavens and a new earth; the former will not 26:20 be REMEMBERED.'" 26:22 As the years of eternity roll, we'll never have anything to be 26:25 afraid of, friends. 26:27 Two choices you have: life or death. 26:31 Choose life. 26:33 The Bible says: "Whosoever will, let him take the water of 26:38 life freely." 26:39 How many of you say you want that water of life? 26:42 In the book of Job, it says, "Can a man be more RIGHTEOUS 26:45 than God?" 26:46 If--God wouldn't do that to His creatures, if we wouldn't do it, 26:50 why would God do it? 26:52 Doug: Friends, I hope you've been blessed by today's message. 26:54 But, really, the reason we do this is so that people might 26:57 know Christ. 26:59 You know, information is not going to save us. 27:01 It's a relationship with Jesus, the one who died on the cross 27:04 for your sins. 27:05 You must personally accept Him. 27:07 And that's the most important thing and why we do 27:09 these programs. 27:10 If you've not asked Him into your heart before, then I'd 27:13 encourage you to do it right now. 27:15 His arms are open wide, just come to Him as you are, and 27:18 ask Him. 27:20 Doug: Hi, friends. 27:21 I trust you're being blessed by what you're watching. 27:23 If you want to be doubly blessed, then you're going to 27:25 want to get the Prophecy Odyssey study guides that go along with 27:28 these presentations. 27:30 There's 15 study guides, they're beautifully illustrated, and 27:33 they will greatly enhance your Bible comprehension. 27:36 So if you'd like to get them, simply follow the instructions 27:39 that you see on the screen, and you will be glad you did. 27:49 Doug: As you've just seen, there's a lot of misconceptions 27:52 about what the Bible really says regarding hellfire. 27:55 That's why you're going to want to get this free offer, "Is the 27:58 Devil in Charge of Hell?" 28:00 It reveals the truth about what happens to those who reject 28:03 Christ and the devil's ultimate punishment. 28:06 To get your copy, simply follow the instructions 28:08 on the screen, 28:10 and we will send it to you absolutely free. 28:23 male announcer: This presentation was brought to you 28:25 by the friends of the Amazing Facts ministry. |
