00:22 Hello and welcome to the 3ABN Worship Center,
00:26 and happy Sabbath. 00:28 It is a great beautiful Sabbath morning here in 00:30 southern Illinois, isn't it? 00:31 Yes, it is. 00:32 And you and I have already been together this morning. 00:34 Well, we have. 00:35 We saw each other down at the barn. 00:38 The livestock have to be taken care of. 00:41 And my guinneas had a good night. 00:43 They did, your new ones too. 00:45 - They're big, big fat ones. - Right, that's right. 00:46 They look healthy. 00:47 And your horse had a good night. 00:49 Your horses. 00:50 Good. Alright, alright. 00:52 But we're just a couple of ole country boys, 00:56 but we're preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ 00:59 from right out here in the corn fields of Illinois. 01:03 It's a beautiful place, it's a wonderful place. 01:06 And we've had the most fantastic weather this week 01:10 that I can ever remember. 01:11 Absolutely for July, for this time of year, 01:14 it's been absolutely wonderful. 01:16 And you know, I want to say that it's been almost 29 years 01:20 since I was impressed to build a television station 01:22 to reach the world. 01:23 And one of the names, when I was mulling this over 01:27 deciding, "Should I? 01:28 Is this of the Lord or is this the devil, or is this just 01:31 my own thoughts?" or what have you, 01:33 was the name Kenneth Cox. 01:34 And I didn't know very many evangelists. 01:36 This was pre Doug Batchelor and pre Mark Finley, 01:38 and pre all those guys. 01:40 But I knew It Is Written and Faith For Today, 01:43 and some of those. 01:44 But when I was thinking this over, Kenneth Cox was 01:47 one of the names that I was impressed that would be on 01:50 the network that we didn't even have a name for yet. 01:53 And so literally within a matter of a couple of months, 01:56 I heard he was in Texas, I was able to go to Texas and 01:59 talk to him about this idea of building a television station, 02:03 Adventist television station, to reach the world. 02:06 And you know he's one of the few people that didn't laugh at us. 02:09 My brother and I went there and he didn't laugh at us. 02:12 He said, "You know what? We need this. 02:14 I'm with you. I'm supportive." 02:16 And we've been working together all these years. 02:18 And that's the kind of person that Kenneth Cox is. 02:21 And I was living in Texas at the time. 02:24 And he shared that information with me. 02:27 And all of a sudden I realized, this is the dream that I believe 02:33 that God wants for His church. 02:37 That this is going to be something that is going to be 02:41 blessed of the Lord and it is going to grow. 02:43 And it's just amazing the things that God has done through 3ABN. 02:50 Well we praise the Lord. 02:51 And we praise the Lord that Elder Cox is here today. 02:53 He's going to be ministering to us. 02:56 But before he does that, we have some special music. 02:58 You know this lady. You want to introduce her? 03:00 Well, Yvonne Lewis is the director of Dare To Dream. 03:05 She is a person who loves the Lord Jesus Christ. 03:09 And she is a humble person. 03:13 We're going to keep talking about her 03:14 and she'll lose her humility. 03:15 But we really honestly believe this person loves the Lord. 03:21 We're around her, we work with her, she's easy. 03:24 There's not one ounce of prima donna in her. 03:27 And we all love her. 03:28 And by the world's standards, if you had a 03:30 right to do that, she would. 03:31 She's very well known not only in the religious world, 03:35 but secular world. 03:36 For many years she sang, but she has given all that up for Jesus. 03:40 And we're so thankful that you're here today. 03:43 What are you going to be singing? 03:44 - The Solid Rock. - Alright. 03:46 And right after we hear her sing, the next voice you'll hear 03:50 will be Pastor Kenneth Cox. 04:18 On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; 04:25 all other ground is sinking sand, 04:31 all other ground is sinking sand. 04:44 My hope is built on nothing less 04:49 than Jesus' blood and righteousness. 04:56 I dare not trust the sweetest frame, 05:00 but wholly lean on Jesus' name. 05:06 On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; 05:10 all other ground is sinking sand, 05:16 all other ground is sinking sand. 05:28 When darkness veils His lovely face, 05:32 I rest on His unchanging grace. 05:39 In every high and stormy gale, 05:44 my anchor holds within the veil. 05:49 On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; 05:54 all other ground is sinking sand, 05:59 all other ground is sinking sand. 06:09 His oath, His word, His blood 06:12 support me in the flood. 06:15 When all around gives way, 06:18 He then is all my hope and stay. 06:25 When He shall come with trumpet sound, 06:32 oh may I then in Him be found. 06:37 Dressed in His righteousness alone, 06:44 faultless to stand before His throne. 06:53 All other ground is sinking sand, 06:59 all other ground is sinking sand. 07:05 On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand, 07:09 on Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; 07:14 all other ground is sinking sand. 07:19 On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand. 07:44 Thank you very much, Yvonne. 07:46 I appreciate that. 07:47 And good morning to you. 07:50 Happy to welcome all of you this morning. 07:52 I appreciate you being here as we continue this series; 07:56 Anchors of Truth. 07:58 And we're looking at the subject of the antichrist; 08:01 The Rise of the Antichrist. 08:04 And we've had three presentations. 08:07 This is our fourth one on it. 08:09 And of course, they'll be one more. 08:11 And so we hope that it'll be a blessing to you 08:14 and be a help to you. 08:15 As my custom is, I'm going to kneel and have a word of prayer. 08:21 And if you would just join me in a word of prayer. 08:29 Heavenly Father, we thank You for this day. 08:35 Thankful for life. 08:37 Thankful that we can have the Rock that we can stand on 08:42 that doesn't move. 08:44 We pray that You will be with us as we look at Your Word today. 08:49 Give us understanding, give us enlightenment. 08:52 May our hearts be open, may they be receptive. 08:56 And may the Holy Spirit be here in a special way. 09:01 Draw us close to You, Lord. 09:03 And may we all understand and prepare our hearts 09:08 for the great day of Your coming. 09:10 For this we pray in Your name, amen. 09:16 And we'd like to say welcome to those that are joining us 09:19 by television or by radio. 09:22 We appreciate you tuning in and we hope that you've been able to 09:26 follow some of the other presentations also. 09:29 As I mentioned, we're looking at the question or the subject of 09:33 the rise of the antichrist. 09:36 And this particular one today is entitled, The King of the North. 09:46 And so we're taking a look at the 11th chapter of Daniel. 09:52 Now of all the chapters in the Bible on prophecy, 09:58 probably the 11th chapter of Daniel is the most difficult. 10:04 And it's not because it's... How should I put it? 10:07 It's not because it's so hard to understand, 10:12 it's the fact that it covers so much ground. 10:15 It covers a tremendous amount of ground 10:17 and it goes into great detail. 10:19 And people get lost in the minutia of all the detail 10:25 and all, and they have a hard time understanding it. 10:28 So I'm going to suggest, if you have pencil and paper, 10:32 that you write down some simple things here to start with 10:35 that I hope will help you in the understanding of 10:38 the 11th chapter of Daniel. 10:41 We must not depart from what Daniel has taught. 10:45 And in Daniel the 2nd chapter, the 7th chapter, 10:51 and the 8th chapter, in all those chapters 10:55 he's lined up the nations. 10:57 And he's talked about... 11:04 So when we come to the 11th chapter of Daniel, 11:07 don't expect Daniel to depart and go off some other way. 11:12 He's going to stick with exactly what he showed and revealed 11:16 in those three other chapters. 11:19 So as we go through it, watch for that 11:22 and it'll follow that same sequence all the way through. 11:26 So when we take a look at it and we come to 11:28 Daniel the 11th chapter, we find that it doesn't 11:31 start with Babylon. 11:34 It starts with Medo-Persia. 11:36 And the reason it starts with Medo-Persia 11:39 is because Babylon has already fallen. 11:42 And at this time the angel Gabriel, who is showing 11:46 Daniel this and is talking about it, he starts with Medo-Persia 11:50 because Babylon is no longer in existence. 11:53 It's already been overthrown. 11:55 So he begins that chapter with Medo-Persia. 11:59 And so if you want to just write this down, 12:01 the first part, Medo-Persia, is verses 1 and 2. 12:07 That's what verses 1 and 2 are talking about. 12:09 It's talking about the kings of Medo-Persia. 12:14 Medo-Persia was a wonderful kingdom 12:16 and did a lot for the cause of God. 12:21 And you remember in that realm or reign of Medo-Persia, 12:26 there are some very, very great people in there. 12:29 You remember, this is the time of Mordecai. 12:32 This is the time of Ester, this is the time of Zerubbabel. 12:35 This is the time of Nehemiah. 12:37 This is the time of all these great, great people. 12:43 So you need to understand that. 12:46 But it's talking about Medo-Persia, verses 1 and 2. 12:50 That's what it deals with. 12:52 Verses 3 through 13, Daniel 11:3-13, 12:58 is talking about Greece. 13:01 That's who it's dealing with. 13:03 And he'll start out with Alexander the Great and 13:05 he'll go through all these different kings, 13:08 and the four kings and all that. 13:11 And that's what is contained in verses 3 through 13. 13:15 It's about the kingdoms of Greece. 13:18 So these kings, how they rose, what they did. 13:21 And people get lost because Gabriel is not talking 13:26 in prophetic language. 13:28 He's talking more in literal language. 13:31 And he's giving these different kings that were going to rise. 13:34 He doesn't necessarily call them by name, 13:37 but he talks and he refers to some of them as the 13:40 kings of the North, some as the kings of the South, 13:42 and so forth. 13:43 And they get lost in that. 13:45 But it's really talking about the kings of Greece here 13:47 in verses 3 through 13. 13:50 And then chapter 11 verses 14 to 29 is talking about Rome. 14:00 You remember, Babylon fell to Medo-Persia. 14:04 Medo-Persia fell to Greece. 14:06 Greece fell to Rome. 14:09 And so verses 14 to 29 is dealing with pagan Rome. 14:16 Now remember, Daniel talked about four kingdoms; 14:19 Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. 14:23 This 11th chapter from this point on 14:27 talks totally about Rome. 14:30 That's what the chapter from the 11th verse on... 14:33 Excuse me, from the 14th verse on is talking about Rome. 14:39 Now different divisions of Rome, but it's talking about Rome. 14:44 And so you need to understand that as we're going through it. 14:48 And it talks about the different people that rose. 14:51 It talks about Caesar. 14:56 It talks about Tiberius. 14:59 It talks about Mark Anthony. 15:03 It talks about Cleopatra. 15:05 All those are in that chapter there 15:08 where it's dealing with it. 15:09 But then we come to the next part. 15:13 Daniel 11 verses 30 through 39. 15:20 30 through 39, and this is dealing with Papal Rome. 15:25 It's still Rome. 15:27 But it's dealing with papal Rome and what papal Rome would do. 15:32 And that's what those verses are describing and talking about, 15:36 is papal Rome and her rule. 15:40 And then after verse 39 you come to verse 40. 15:45 And that brings us down to today. 15:49 And it talks about the re-establishment 15:52 of the Roman power. 15:57 The Roman power and its rule in the last days. 16:01 And that's what verses 40 through 45 is about. 16:04 So if you just get that kind of an outline in your mind, 16:07 it will help you understand the 11th chapter of Daniel. 16:12 Now we're not going to go back and pick up 16:15 from verse 1 through. 16:18 And the reason we aren't is because there's no way 16:21 we've got enough time to do that and talk about all of them. 16:24 So we're going to talk about today. 16:27 We're going to talk about the king of the North today 16:31 so that you can understand what it's dealing with 16:34 and what it's talking about. 16:37 Let me try to explain the king of the North 16:39 and the king of the South to you. 16:41 If you look at this map I put on the screen, 16:44 you notice that I put an arrow that pinpoints 16:47 where Jerusalem is. 16:50 If you draw a ling east and west, as I have drawn there, 16:56 then everything above that line is North. 17:01 And all the countries and everything that went through 17:04 there was what was called the king of the North. 17:08 And everything below that line was the king of the South. 17:12 And so in the king of the South was such as Egypt, and so forth. 17:16 Above it was Syria and all the other different nations. 17:20 Now a little reason for this, folks, is because if you 17:25 notice where that line goes, that cuts right through 17:28 the Arabian desert. 17:31 And the only way you could really get to Israel 17:34 is you had to go and follow the river around 17:40 and come down to Jerusalem. 17:42 And so invasions were made upon Jerusalem out of the North. 17:47 And that's the reason it's referred to 17:49 as the king of the North. 17:51 Or if they came up the other way, it's referred to 17:54 as the king of the South. 17:57 Well that's how that simply works. 17:59 So let's take a look now. 18:01 And I'm going to drop back just a few verses 18:04 into the time of papal Rome and establish some things 18:10 about papal Rome. 18:12 So I'm going to start with verse 36 18:14 because it tells us some things about papal Rome. 18:31 So it's saying that this power will speak blasphemies 18:34 against the God of gods. 18:46 That text is very important there, 18:49 "What has been determined has been done." 18:53 And that's referring to the fact when the papal power 18:56 would go down. 18:59 What had been determined, he says is going to happen. 19:02 And as you know, I've talked about it I think every evening, 19:05 and that was, in 1798 when Napoleon, General Berthier, 19:12 went into Rome, overthrew the papal power, 19:15 took the pope prisoner, and took him back to France 19:18 where he died in France. 19:23 This began in history the time of the captivity of the popes. 19:33 But the Bible gives it another name. 19:37 And it says, in 1798 the time of the end began. 19:43 And you and I are living in the time of the end 19:45 because it goes from 1798 to the coming of Christ. 19:51 Okay in 1798, that's when that took place. 19:55 The Scripture speaks of certain things that happen. 19:57 And what we're talking about this morning 19:59 takes place during the time of the end. 20:02 But also I mentioned that the Scripture says that 20:05 the judgment takes place in the time of the end. 20:09 Okay? 20:11 But it says, after that the judgment. 20:13 That doesn't mean... 20:14 I need to clarify this. 20:16 That doesn't mean the judgment began in 1798. 20:20 It meant after 1798 the judgment would begin. 20:24 And if you will take your Bible and study it in detail, 20:27 you'll find the judgment began 46 years later. 20:31 So you know, when I say it took place after 1798, 20:36 or I said then the judgment, that's not saying 20:39 I'm saying it started in 1798. 20:42 Okay, so I want that to be real clear. 20:44 Alright, let's go on. 20:46 It says that would be the time determined. 21:01 This is talking about the papal power. 21:29 Okay, I want to just mention a couple of facts to establish 21:33 that this is talking about papal Rome. 21:36 Because it said one thing he would do is he would speak 21:39 blasphemies against the God of gods. 21:43 And we've read about this in other prophecies 21:46 about the papal power where the papal power said, 21:50 "We, the popes, hold upon this earth..." 21:59 This is what he did. 22:00 Another statement... 22:13 So he exalts himself above the God of gods. 22:20 Secondly, it makes a statement this way 22:22 in Daniel 11:37, it says... 22:29 Contrary to Scripture, 22:32 contrary to Scripture, 22:35 the papacy took the power, or it took the position 22:39 that the priests could not marry. 22:43 They would have to practice celibacy. 22:46 And this is contrary to what the Scripture says. 22:49 And secondly, by doing that they brought upon themselves 22:53 a curse, because homosexuality has run rampant 22:58 throughout the ranks of the priests because they have not 23:02 followed what the Scripture says. 23:04 And it said they would do this. 23:06 That they would not have any desire for women. 23:10 This was contrary to what God had placed there 23:14 and wanted them to do. 23:16 But it also says... 23:24 From the time that Napoleon took the pope prisoner, 23:33 they went into voluntary imprisonment. 23:39 But the church basically just was there. 23:43 There wasn't any power, it had no civil power. 23:47 It didn't grow, it couldn't do anything. 23:49 But with the signing of the Lateran Treaty in 1929, 23:55 from that time the church of Rome has continued 24:00 and done everything she could to collect wealth. 24:04 And dear friends, all I can say to you 24:07 is if you want to check me out, do. 24:09 Go on the internet and see if you can find out 24:13 what the wealth of the papal church is. 24:19 And it will tell you right there that it is beyond estimate 24:23 what they have, and no one knows. 24:25 A tremendous amount of wealth that is involved. 24:29 And that's what this is talking about. 24:31 That they have collected wealth over and over 24:34 down through the years until today. 24:38 It is extremely wealthy. 24:40 Okay, let's now move into the present day 24:46 and what it has to say about it. 24:48 A few months ago they elected a new pope. 24:54 The whole world turned out to watch. 24:59 The whole world was almost shocked because they elected 25:05 a pope from a South American country, from Argentina. 25:11 His name was Jorge Mario Bergoglio. 25:18 He took the name of Francis I. 25:22 The thing that was shocking to them was the fact that 25:28 for the first time they were electing a priest 25:32 that was a Jesuit. 25:36 Now I want to say that when we're talking 25:42 about the antichrist, 25:44 at least when I'm talking about the antichrist, 25:47 I am not talking about an individual. 25:51 I am talking about a system. 25:54 The antichrist does not change when the pope dies or anything. 25:59 That still continues on. 26:01 And so I'm not trying to apply this to an individual. 26:06 But I do think it is absolutely necessary 26:11 that you and I understand the background, 26:16 that we understand the history, that we understand the facts 26:21 concerning what is happening here. 26:25 I think that is vital, that is important, 26:28 that we understand that. 26:30 This man, Francis I, from all indications is a humble man. 26:37 From all indications I can tell from what we hear 26:40 from the press, he tries to follow what he believes. 26:45 So I'm not trying to place this on... 26:47 I am trying to share with you this morning 26:50 facts concerning that. 26:54 So let me introduce you to another individual. 26:58 This individual, his name is Adolpho Nicholás. 27:03 Now if you're not acquainted with Adolpho Nicholás, 27:06 Adolpho Nicholás is the head of the Jesuit Order. 27:12 He is what they call the Superior General. 27:17 He's the head of the Jesuit Order. 27:20 He also over the years, not just this man but any man 27:24 who is the head of the Jesuit Order, has been referred to 27:28 as the Black Pope. 27:32 And the reason he's been referred to as the Black Pope 27:36 is because of the tremendous influence they have had 27:39 upon the pope of Rome. 27:43 Adolpho Nicholás has his headquarters in Rome. 27:50 And he is a very, very good friend of the pope, 27:56 as you can see from this picture. 27:59 Now when they take the oath of becoming a Jesuit, 28:06 they commit obedience to the pope. 28:16 This, all of a sudden, put the shoe on another foot. 28:20 Let me explain what I mean by that. 28:22 Because when a person becomes a Jesuit, 28:27 he must give obedience to the head of the Jesuit Order. 28:34 He had to give obedience to the head of the Jesuit Order, 28:39 which was Adolpho Nicholás. 28:41 So when Pope Francis was cardinal in Argentina, 28:48 he had to give obedience to this man. 28:52 But when all of a sudden he became pope, 28:56 now Adolpho has to give obedience to him. 29:00 So the shoe, all of a sudden, changes feet there. 29:03 And so that is the situation there. 29:08 This is the College of Cardinals. 29:12 This is the Sistine Chapel. 29:15 This is where they elect the pope. 29:18 There are probably, I don't know exactly, folks, 29:23 150 cardinals. 29:28 Of that 150 cardinals, 109 of them, if I'm right, 29:34 have the right to vote. 29:36 And the reason the others don't vote is because there's 29:39 an age limit on voting. 29:41 When you reach 80 years of age, you can no longer vote. 29:45 So some of them couldn't vote simply because of age. 29:50 Interesting about it is that of that group of cardinals, 29:57 about 10% of them are Jesuits. 30:03 About 10% of them are Jesuits. 30:07 Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI 30:15 took ten of these Jesuit cardinals and moved them 30:22 into very high positions in the hierarchy of the church 30:31 and even into the curia. 30:33 And so there's no question in my mind that the election 30:37 of Pope Francis to that position was because these men 30:44 had moved into very, very high positions. 30:48 So they elected him as a pope. 30:51 Let me tell you a little bit about them. 30:55 There are 19,216 Jesuits 31:03 as of March in the world. 31:10 You do not have to be a priest to be a Jesuit. 31:15 A Jesuit is an order. 31:17 Do you understand what I mean by that? 31:19 Or maybe I should say, a society. 31:23 It's an order just like the Order of Franciscan, 31:29 or the Benedictine Order. 31:31 These are different orders. 31:33 This happens to be an all male order and they belong to 31:39 the Jesuit society. 31:42 Okay? 31:45 A man by the name of St. Ignatius of Loyola 31:54 is the one who founded the Jesuit Order, 31:58 as you can see there on the screen. 32:01 He founded it in the early 1500's. 32:06 That's when he put it in place. 32:08 The Jesuit Order was put in place for two primary things. 32:14 The primary things for the Jesuit Order was; 32:16 one, to defend the faith. 32:20 That's what they were to do, defend the faith. 32:22 And the second thing was to stop the reformation. 32:28 Those were the reasons it was brought into being, 32:33 to do those two things. 32:34 So when a person becomes a Jesuit, he takes a vow. 32:40 He takes a vow of poverty, he takes a vow of chastity, 32:47 and he takes a vow of obedience. 32:51 And as I mentioned, they also took a vow of obedience 32:54 to the pope concerning mission. 32:58 That was the vows that they took. 33:01 And from all indications, Pope Francis takes his vow 33:07 of poverty very serious. 33:11 He refuses to live in the palace or in the special place 33:15 they have for him and lives in a little apartment 33:18 because he takes that vow very serious. 33:21 And I take it since he takes that vow very serious, 33:24 I take it that he takes other vows very serious. 33:28 So this is the man who established it. 33:32 What had happened? And did this work? 33:36 Well the pope, at the time of the reformation 33:43 and when the reformation was expanding 33:47 and it was having tremendous affect upon the 33:53 Roman Catholic Church, 33:55 they called what was known as the Council of Trent. 34:01 The Council of Trent met for 17 years. 34:06 During that Council of Trent, the pope called in a theologian, 34:14 a Jesuit theologian by the name of Francisco Ribera. 34:28 Francisco Ribera was brought in and he was told, 34:34 "Take the finger off of us." 34:37 Now the preachers, like Luther and Knox and Zwingli and Calvin, 34:42 and all those men, were pointing the finger at the papal power 34:47 and saying, "This is the antichrist." 34:50 That's what they were saying. 34:51 They're saying, "This is the antichrist." 34:54 And he said, "Get the finger off of us." 34:58 Well, Ribera went out and he sat down and he developed 35:04 another concept of prophecy. 35:08 And today, that concept is called Futurism. 35:13 Did it work? 35:15 I should say it did. 35:18 It takes the finger off the papal power. 35:21 And unfortunately today, 96% of the Protestant churches 35:29 have turned their back on the teachings of the reformers 35:35 when it comes to prophecy. 35:37 They turned their back upon that and have accepted the teachings 35:41 of Francisco Ribera. 35:43 Which completely takes the finger off the papal power. 35:48 But how were they going to carry about what they wanted to do? 35:55 They decided to do two things. 35:57 They decided to be strong in education, 36:03 be strong in media, and be strong in politics. 36:09 And so you find the Jesuits move into that area 36:12 very, very strongly. 36:15 You may not have realized this, but the Jesuit Order 36:21 operates 28 colleges and universities in the 36:27 United States that are owned and operated by the Jesuit Order. 36:33 A couple of them; one of them is Boston College. 36:36 You can see the picture there. 36:38 Let me show you another one. 36:42 And we can name others. 36:43 These are universities that are operated by the Jesuit Order 36:47 here in the United States, training young people, 36:50 sending them out all across this country. 36:53 And your tax dollar is what funds them. 37:02 But they're very, very strong in that. 37:05 When it comes to media, many, many, many, folks, 37:10 of the people that are in the media are Roman Catholic. 37:17 All you have to do is look up the public officials, 37:21 and those in Congress, and Senate, and so forth. 37:23 And many of those are Roman Catholic also. 37:27 So they have great, great influence in what they're doing. 37:31 They have done just exactly what they said. 37:33 So those are some facts you can put down 37:37 that is taking place. 37:39 Now let's move on. 37:41 Let's go to verse 40. 37:47 Now be very clear, folks. 37:49 The Scripture right here tells you when he's talking about. 37:52 He's not talking about way back then. 37:53 He's talking about at the time of the end, 37:57 down at the end of time. 38:14 So it's now telling us what the king of the North 38:16 is going to do. 38:19 It's going to come against him, he's going to move and 38:22 go through the countries, overwhelm them, 38:24 and pass through. 38:30 Palestine, the Holy Land. 38:45 These are going to escape the hand of the king of the North. 38:59 The land of Egypt shall not escape. 39:15 Okay. 39:17 "But news from the east and from the north..." 39:37 So let's see what that's talking about. 39:40 When it says, "And he shall enter the countries, 39:42 overwhelm them, and pass through," 39:44 that doesn't necessarily mean by war. 39:48 The Catholic Church, the papal power, 39:51 does not care how it gains membership. 39:55 It doesn't care if it's by birth, or if it's by coercion, 40:00 or how it takes place. 40:01 It just wants growth. 40:03 And of course, it has seen phenomenal growth. 40:06 In 80 years it has gone from a few to 1.4 billion people. 40:11 And so he's passed through, overcome, just exactly 40:15 as the Scripture says. 40:18 "He also shall enter the Glorious Land..." 40:30 Now if you look at that, I've tried to put them on the 40:33 map there for you. 40:34 Do you understand who these people were? 40:39 Ammon and Moab were descendents of who? 40:46 Of Lot. Okay? 40:48 Edom was a descendent of Esau. 40:53 Okay, that's who they are. 40:54 And I'm sure you've put it together. 40:56 They all settled in the area that today 41:00 we refer to as Jordon. 41:03 You have heard of Amman of Jordon. 41:05 See, it's the same thing. 41:07 That's where they settled. 41:09 And of course, these are Islamic countries. 41:35 So the Scripture is lining up for you and for me 41:39 telling us what is going to take place. 41:41 I wish that you could speak, or I could speak, with as much 41:46 definiteness about what is going to happen 41:51 as you can with something in the past. 41:54 But this is all future. 41:56 And human frailty does not give us the ability 42:00 to see the future. 42:02 But one thing we can do, folks, is that we can depend 42:06 on the Word of God. 42:08 And the Word of God can help us have an indication 42:11 of what is happening and what is going to take place. 42:14 We can see that and understand it. 42:18 So the countries of or the people of Ammon, 42:23 and Moab, and Edom, Egypt, Libya, Ethiopia; 42:28 these are all Islamic countries. 42:33 Are you with me? 42:35 And they are where? 42:40 They're south of Jerusalem. 42:44 They're south of Jerusalem. 42:47 So it tells you that Egypt, Libya, Ethiopia, 42:54 Ammon, Moab, and Edom; 42:57 that Egypt, Libya, and Ethiopia will go with 43:01 the king of the North. 43:03 They're going to go along with him. 43:05 Ammon, Moab, and Edom will escape out of his hand. 43:11 That's telling you what's going to happen, 43:13 what's going to take place. 43:15 So you and I need to look very carefully at 43:21 what is happening today and see if we can't begin to 43:25 put some things together. 43:28 The Middle East today; do you realize what has happened 43:32 in the last six years? 43:36 The whole Middle East is being realigned. 43:41 The whole Middle East is being realigned. 43:43 And as far as I'm concerned, it's being realigned 43:46 to fit into exactly what the Scripture says 43:49 is going to happen. 43:51 Because you remember it wasn't but a few years ago 43:55 until Saddam Hussein, Iraq; gone today. 44:05 You don't hear much about him. 44:06 He's gone. 44:09 Next after that, Gaddafi, head of the Palestinian movement. 44:16 Gone. 44:17 Do you hear anything about the Palestinian movement? 44:20 No. 44:22 Disappeared. 44:23 I'm just telling you what's happening today. 44:26 After Gaddafi, you have Mubarak; Egypt. 44:31 Gone, and even right now Egypt is in chaos 44:37 because the people are unhappy. 44:39 The Muslim Brotherhood has not done what they 44:43 thought should be done, and so you have revolt taking place 44:47 and a whole change taking place. 44:50 Not long after that, you have Gaddafi in Libya. 44:55 He's gone. 44:57 Not around anymore. 45:00 A little bit after that, you have Osama bin Laden 45:04 in Iran; gone. 45:07 And let me tell you, it's not but a few days 45:11 until Assad in Syria will be gone. 45:16 Now folks, this is what is happening 45:18 just in the last 6 years. 45:22 So you need to understand what is taking place 45:25 in this world as that whole Middle East is being realigned 45:30 and lining up, as best I can tell, for the last days. 45:38 "But news from the east..." 45:45 It's going to trouble the king of the North. 45:54 Why would news from the east and from the north trouble him? 46:02 Because he's the king of the North, right? 46:06 That means, when it says, "news from the east and the north 46:09 trouble him," it means that he has internal problems. 46:15 That's what it's saying, there's internal problems there. 46:19 So it troubles him greatly. 46:21 So if you take a look at where he comes out of, 46:30 and that is the countries of Europe, 46:36 there's something happening there that's 46:37 troubling him greatly that he doesn't know 46:40 exactly how to take care of. 46:43 It talks about ten kings, Revelation 17 verse 12. 46:50 "The ten horns which you saw are..." 47:04 Now we've studied and we found that this beast 47:07 in Revelation 13 was the papal power. 47:09 So it says that these ten kings are going to rule 47:15 with the beast. 47:18 They'll give their authority to the beast. 47:20 Are you putting anything together this morning? 47:24 Because last night we talked about the antichrist partner. 47:28 And it says he would do what? 47:32 He would give his support to the beast. 47:35 And so now you've got the US giving its support to the beast, 47:40 you've got these nations of western Europe 47:43 giving their support to the beast. 47:45 That's what the Scripture is telling you. 47:47 And there's problems there. 47:50 "These are of one mind..." 47:59 So there is a coalition here of governments around the world 48:05 who are coming together and they are giving their authority 48:09 and their support to that of the beast. 48:16 These ten kings, which are the same all the way 48:19 through Scripture, whether you're talking about 48:21 France and England, and all the different countries, 48:25 it says they will give their support to the beast. 48:29 Now it takes a turn because news from the north is troubling him. 48:34 And Revelation 17 kind of tells you what that is, 48:38 what that news is. 48:57 Now folks, when you have a beast in Bible prophecy, 49:02 that beast represents a civil power. 49:07 But when you have a woman riding on a beast, 49:13 that represents a spiritual power, a church. 49:18 And that represents a spiritual power that is 49:22 controlling the beast, because it is riding on the beast. 49:27 Okay. 49:29 And so you have a division here of civil power 49:33 and religious power. 49:35 And please notice, it says these ten kings will hate who? 49:40 They will hate the harlot. 49:41 It does not say, folks, it does not say 49:45 that they will hate the beast. 49:49 It doesn't say that. 49:51 It says they will hate the harlot. 49:54 In other words, they're going to turn against 49:58 what she is teaching and what she is 50:01 propagating the world with. 50:02 They're going to turn again that, they will hate it. 50:05 And they will turn against her. 50:06 It said they will make her desolate, naked, 50:10 eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 50:29 So it says that the king of the North, 50:32 and this is the civil power, it's going to come against 50:37 many things, even into the glorious mountain, 50:40 and he's going to come to his end, and no one will help him. 50:45 So you can see what is happening as all these things 50:48 are coming together and they're finishing up. 50:53 And one event after another is taking place 50:56 around the world that you and I need to have our eyes open, 51:02 we need to be hearing, we need to be understanding 51:06 what is happening in this world today. 51:09 Because, dear friend, from all indication in God's Word, 51:13 there's not a lot of great time left. 51:16 Just isn't. 51:18 Time is running out. 51:21 And you and I need every day to be drawing close to the Lord. 51:27 We need to be seeking Him. 51:29 We need to have our hearts open and surrendered to His will. 51:34 Daniel the second chapter verse 22 says, 51:41 I'm talking about those ten kings, 51:44 those ten kings that will hate the harlot. 51:47 They will turn against her, burn her with fire. 51:58 This means the time in which you and I are living. 52:17 So it says that God is going to come back. 52:19 He's going to His kingdom. 52:20 And His kingdom will last forever. 52:26 So as I have shared with you in the previous presentations, 52:32 it says over and over in these prophecies 52:35 that you should be wise. 52:39 It says, "He that hath wisdom, let him understand." 52:43 And dear friend, as I told you, in Hebrew that word 52:46 for "wise" is "maskilim." 52:49 That means a special group of people. 52:52 A people that are not only wise in the Scripture, 52:55 but they're wise in their deportment, 52:59 they're wise in the way they conduct themselves, 53:01 they're wise in how they live. 53:03 These are God's people in the last days. 53:08 And as best I can tell, God is looking, God is looking 53:16 for a group of people, He's looking for a group of people 53:20 that will prepare their hearts, and they'll open up their lives 53:24 and open up their hearts, and give them to the Lord 53:27 that He can take them, change them, make them His people. 53:32 That's what God's looking for. 53:34 And all I can say is we need to draw together. 53:40 We need to pray for one another. 53:43 We need to seek the Lord. 53:46 We need to put all differences aside. 53:50 You know, the Scripture says that you ought to think of 53:52 your brother better than yourself. 53:56 Do you do that? 53:59 Better than yourself? 54:02 That you and I should go out of our way 54:06 to lift up them, help them, and support them. 54:08 This is what God wants us to do. 54:11 We are to be children of God, and all. 54:15 And the time is near. 54:19 Jesus is coming back. 54:20 It's not going to be long, folks. 54:23 There's no way possible it could be. 54:25 I could sit here right now and share with you probably 54:29 ten different things right now that affects the life on this 54:36 planet around the whole world that in the next 25 years 54:43 will be gone. 54:46 So I can just tell you right now, there's no way 54:49 it's going to continue on. 54:50 It can't. 54:52 Jesus is going to come back. 54:55 And dear friend, you and I need to make sure our 54:58 hearts are right, they're surrendered. 55:01 That we put it all on the altar, that we've come to Jesus 55:06 and let Him have our lives totally and completely. 55:09 Let us pray. 55:10 Father in heaven, we thank You. 55:15 Thank You, Lord, for the privilege that's given to us 55:19 to be children of God, unworthy as we are. 55:25 But so, so thankful today for Jesus Christ, 55:32 for all that He has done for us. 55:35 May we ever always keep our eyes upon Him. 55:41 And may we be faithful. 55:43 Faithful to You, keep Your Word, walk in the light of it, 55:50 that our hearts might be open to the work of the Holy Spirit. 55:54 Take away, Lord, take away from us all jealousy, 56:01 all self-seeking, all selfishness. 56:06 And may our lives be totally and completely surrendered, 56:11 that You may make us into children of God; 56:16 what You want us to be. 56:18 Bless each one here today. 56:21 May they be drawn close into Your presence. 56:24 And may we all rejoice in Your kingdom. 56:29 For this we ask in Christ's name, amen. 56:34 Now our next presentation is entitled, 56:38 Babylon, The Mother of Harlots. 56:42 And we're going to be going to Revelation the 17th chapter 56:45 to see what it has to say. 56:47 Because it talks about some of these things that we've 56:50 just dealt with right down at the end of time, 56:53 and how that's all going to come together 56:55 and fit together. 56:57 So I hope it will be helpful to you as we finish up this series 57:01 on The Rise of the Antichrist, and you'll be able to see 57:05 exactly what's happening and where we stand today. 57:09 So stay close to the Lord, folks. 57:12 Spend time in His Word. 57:15 Don't let... 57:16 You remember, if you go back and remember what Jesus said, 57:19 the number one thing He said was be careful, 57:23 don't let the cares of this life separate you from the Lord. 57:29 God bless you. |
