00:19 Hello, and welcome to A Sharper Focus.
00:21 We are glad that you are with us 00:23 from wherever you're joining us around the world, 00:25 and we praise the Lord that 3ABN has this program 00:27 available for you to study the Bible with us. 00:31 My name is John Dinzey, and I'm glad to be with you. 00:33 Pastor Lomacang is not here during this time, 00:36 and so I have the privilege to be with you 00:37 and study God's word. 00:39 And we have a number of God's children here 00:41 from the Thompsonville Seventh-day Adventist church, 00:43 and we praise the Lord for your presence here. 00:46 And we hope that those of you joining us by radio, 00:49 television, internet, or whatever maybe, 00:51 you will be blessed. 00:53 And so for us to ensure that you will be blessed, 00:55 we want to ask you to join with us in prayer. 00:58 And so let us go to the Lord in prayer together. 01:01 Let's ask Him to bless us. Let's pray. 01:05 Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You so much 01:09 that anytime during the day we can approach 01:11 Your throne of grace with confidence 01:14 knowing that You are there, knowing that You are with us, 01:17 knowing that You will hear our prayer. 01:19 And we come to You in Jesus' name, 01:22 and we pray that You'll bless us, Lord. 01:24 We pray that as we study Your words, 01:26 study the Holy Scriptures, 01:28 You will help us to understand them. 01:30 Therefore, we ask for Your Holy Spirit 01:32 and that Your Holy Spirit will guide us into the truth 01:35 we need to know for today. 01:37 And we ask You, Father, for these things in Jesus' holy 01:41 and blessed name, amen, amen. 01:45 Today, we're gonna talk about something that, 01:50 it's little uncomfortable for me I have to say 01:52 because I like to talk more about Jesus 01:54 than these type of things, 01:56 but there are a number of people 01:58 that are confused about this thing 02:00 and they blame God for things He does not do, 02:04 and they don't give God credit for things that He does to. 02:08 And so today we're gonna talk about 02:10 "Satan's Deceptions Exposed". 02:15 Satan's deceptions exposed 02:17 because the Bible helps us to understand 02:20 that there is a devil 02:22 and some people don't believe that. 02:24 Some people don't think there is a devil. 02:26 And there are different ideas about the devil 02:28 and some people think that he's red, 02:31 and has a long red tail, and a pitchfork, 02:35 and that he has horns. 02:38 And so what does the Bible say about the devil? 02:40 Where did he come from? What is he up to? 02:43 And there are some people that believe those 02:49 that worship the devil that they are, 02:52 we believe for they are Christians 02:53 that God is gonna bless us with eternal life without pain, 02:56 or suffering, or sickness, nor death. 02:58 While those that worship Satan, I don't know if they all do, 03:01 but the one that I talk to an individual that I talk to, 03:04 he believed that he was gonna have a party 03:06 throughout eternity. 03:07 And so we may talk to you about that a little later 03:10 but that's not what the Bible says 03:12 that happens to the wicked. 03:14 But let's go to the Bible and ask for the Lord 03:17 to lead us and guide us. 03:18 In John 14, in John 14, we have a scripture 03:23 that tells us a wonderful thing concerning Jesus and it says, 03:27 "Jesus said unto them, I am the way, 03:31 the truth, and the life, 03:33 no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." 03:37 And so we have that Jesus is the way, 03:39 the truth and the life. 03:40 And if you want life and life more abundantly, 03:43 if you want peace and joy, 03:44 then I encourage you to follow Jesus. 03:48 And when you follow Jesus, that's the best thing 03:51 that you could possibly do. 03:54 In John 10 03:57 we have an interesting scripture 04:00 that we need to look at and that is a few pages, 04:06 for those of you that are turning pages. 04:07 Some of you are in the electronic devices 04:09 and you can just go to it quickly. 04:12 So John 10:10, the Bible tells us, 04:15 "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, 04:20 to kill, and to destroy. 04:22 I am come, said Jesus, that they might have life, 04:26 and that they might have it more abundantly." 04:29 So this thief that Jesus is talking about 04:32 is none other than the devil. 04:35 And so, if the devil is not red, and with horns, 04:39 and a pitchfork, what does he look like? 04:41 We're not gonna describe his features to you, 04:43 but we're gonna tell you that the Bible says 04:45 that he was an angel of light. 04:47 Now his features have changed somewhat throughout the years 04:50 because time has passed 04:52 and he is no longer able to receive the blessing 04:55 of being in the presence of the Lord. 04:58 So let's go to the question, who is Satan? 05:04 Where did he come from and what does he want? 05:07 Why does he bother us so much? 05:10 Anybody here been bothered by the devil? 05:12 I think everyone can raise their hand, 05:14 the devil is wicked. 05:17 So 1 Peter 5:8 is the first scripture 05:20 that we're gonna go through concerning the devil 05:23 and what the Bible says concerning him. 05:25 And so in 1 Peter 5:8, if you found it, say amen. 05:30 Amen. 05:32 So we have at least two witnesses we read. 05:34 1 Peter 5:8 says, "Be sober, be vigilant 05:39 because your adversary, the devil, 05:43 as a roaring lion, walketh about, 05:46 seeking whom he may devour." 05:50 So the scriptures tell us that he is an adversary, 05:54 also causing the devil and a roaring lion, 05:57 walking about, seeking whom he may devour. 06:00 So what does he want? He wants to destroy us. 06:03 He wants to devour us. 06:04 Now this of course doesn't mean that he looks like a lion. 06:08 It's using the lion as a reference 06:09 as to what he wants to do with us. 06:11 And question, 06:13 what do the lions do when they're hungry 06:16 and they're looking for something to eat? 06:18 Do they go around with the megaphone saying, 06:20 "I'm coming, I'm heading your way." 06:24 No, he sneaks upon the prey, watches them carefully 06:29 to see when they're not taking notice of him 06:33 and just when he thinks he's got the best opportunity, 06:36 he races towards them to tear them to pieces 06:39 and of course to have his lunch, 06:41 or breakfast, or dinner, whatever the case may be. 06:44 So he does not announce that he is coming 06:47 neither does the devil announce that he is coming, 06:50 he is very sneaky. 06:52 And if I can say mess of roaring lions 06:55 seeking whom he may devour because that's what he does, 06:58 he wants to devour us. 07:00 So what should we do? 07:01 Where do we look for help? 07:03 Where do we find shelter? 07:04 That shelter is in Jesus Christ. 07:08 Now you may open your Bible beginning in Genesis 07:10 and you start reading, 07:12 and you won't find any reference to the devil 07:15 for a long time by name. 07:18 However, he's working behind the scenes, 07:20 working behind the scenes doing his crafty work. 07:24 And that's why you see him going to the Garden of Eden, 07:26 it doesn't mention him the devil, 07:29 but the devil uses a serpent 07:34 as an instrument to do his bidding. 07:37 And so later you see that he's still at work 07:39 because you see that Cain killed Abel. 07:42 Does it say that the devil worked behind? 07:46 Does it mention the devil by name 07:47 when it's talking about Cain 07:48 and how he kills his brother Abel? 07:50 No, but the devil is working behind the scene, 07:54 pushing buttons, 07:55 putting thoughts in people's minds. 07:58 The first time that the devil is mentioned 08:02 is in 1 Chronicles 21, 08:05 that's the first time he's mentioned by name 08:07 in the Bible. 08:09 1 Chronicles 21:1, are you ready? 08:15 Let's read it, "And Satan stood up against Israel, 08:20 and provoked David to number Israel." 08:25 Now this is the first time the Bible uses the word Satan, 08:28 and what does the word Satan mean here? 08:31 It means an adversary and an archenemy of God. 08:38 So this is the first time it mentions him by name, 08:41 that's the name that is given to him. 08:43 Also the Bible uses the word devil. 08:46 So as your reading in the Bible, 08:47 you may read different things or how he's referred to 08:51 and in all the places that it mentions him 08:54 is not a good thing concerning him. 08:57 It mentions the word tempter, adversary, devil, 09:02 the prince of the power of the air, Ephesians 2:2. 09:06 The wicked one, in 1 John 3:12 and also in 1 John 5:18, 09:12 and one of course is the dragon in Revelation 12. 09:18 So all these different types of references 09:20 are references about the devil, 09:24 and so we see here that 09:29 Jesus also makes a reference concerning the devil 09:33 that he said, he saw Satan 09:35 fall from heaven like lightning. 09:40 He saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning 09:42 so his original place of residence was in heaven, 09:47 and we'll talk about that in a little bit. 09:49 Yeah, the next time you hear or you see in the scriptures 09:52 mentioning the devil is in Job 1, 09:55 and we're gonna look at that a little bit later. 09:58 Job 1, now let's go look in the Bible 10:02 to see a little bit of 10:05 how much success he has had in the past. 10:10 When you look in Genesis 6:5-6, you get a picture that 10:16 Satan has had some degree of success 10:19 and unfortunately it is a very terrible thing 10:23 described in Genesis 6:5-6. 10:26 And the Bible says, "And God saw 10:29 that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, 10:32 and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart 10:36 was only evil continually. 10:41 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, 10:44 and it grieved him at his heart." 10:46 So we see here that the devil was successful 10:51 to some great degree 10:52 during the first multitude of human beings 10:56 that existed upon the earth. 10:57 The thoughts of their heart were only evil continually. 11:01 Question, do you think the devil wants to make 11:04 the same thing happen today? 11:06 Does he want to lead people to only think evil continually? 11:10 I would answer that, yes, that's what he did in the past 11:13 and that's what he wants to do today. 11:16 So we need to know what the Bible says 11:18 so that we can avoid being a victim of the devil. 11:22 Now the devil as I mentioned before 11:24 was once an exalted angel. 11:27 So let's go now to Isaiah 14 11:30 and those of you that are accustomed 11:31 to seeing the scriptures on the screen, 11:34 today, that's not gonna happen so get your Bible out, 11:37 so that you can follow along. 11:39 Isaiah 14 describes a little bit. 11:41 We're not gonna read the whole chapter, 11:44 we're just gonna read a reference 11:45 concerning him in verse 12. 11:47 Isaiah 14:12, notice what the Bible says 11:51 concerning Satan before he became Satan. 11:54 "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, 11:59 that was his name, son of the morning! 12:02 How art thou cut down to the ground, 12:05 which didst weaken the nations!" 12:08 Now this is a reference to a holy being 12:13 before he committed sin that was his name Lucifer. 12:17 We're gonna deal with these things another time, 12:20 but let's go through Ezekiel 28. 12:24 In Ezekiel 28:14-15, 12:30 Ezekiel 28:14-15, 12:35 and the Bible tells us the following, 12:38 "Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth, 12:42 and I have set thee so, 12:45 thou wast upon the holy mountain of God. 12:49 Thou hast walked up and down the midst 12:51 of the stones of fire." 12:53 This angel was an exalted being, 12:57 he was a covering cherub. 12:59 That means he was next to God's throne 13:02 right there in the very presence of God. 13:06 Now it says in verse 15, "Thou wast perfect in thy ways 13:11 from the day that thou wast created, 13:13 till iniquity was found in thee." 13:16 Let's talk about that for a moment 13:17 till iniquity was found in thee. 13:19 The Bible tells us that he was perfect in all his ways, 13:24 that's the way he was created. 13:26 And then it uses the words, 13:28 "Till iniquity was found in thee." 13:31 A careful study of these words, 13:34 "Till iniquity was found in thee" 13:36 will reveal these results 13:38 that iniquity was not put into the devil, 13:43 into Lucifer, 13:45 that was not put there by God. 13:48 The study would reveal that basically, it's like this. 13:54 God created Lucifer perfect 13:57 and you could do a thorough examination 14:01 of Lucifer from the day he was created 14:03 till the day iniquity was found in him 14:05 and you'll find no trace of evil, no trace of sin, 14:09 you can look at every atom, and every molecule, 14:12 everything in him and there's no iniquity. 14:16 You can put him under the microscope 14:17 and see there is no wickedness, no evil, because perfect. 14:22 But eventually, Lucifer begins to think 14:25 evil thoughts of his own being. 14:27 See God blessed His creations 14:30 with the ability to have freedom of choice, 14:34 and he of his own accord decided to think evil, 14:38 and that's why the words used, 14:40 "Till iniquity was found in thee" 14:42 means that suddenly it's there, it wasn't there before, 14:47 but on this day it appeared. 14:50 And God did not put it there as I said, 14:52 it was the working of Lucifer himself. 14:58 Let's look in Ezekiel 28:17, notice what it says, 15:03 "Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, 15:06 thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness. 15:11 I will cast thee to the ground, 15:12 I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee." 15:16 So it says, the Bible tells us that he corrupted himself 15:21 and that's what the Bible tells us concerning Lucifer 15:25 that eventually became Satan. 15:29 Wish we had more time to spend concerning this 15:32 but we don't, so let's go to Revelation 12:9. 15:37 Revelation 12:9 and again we're gonna look briefly 15:40 as some aspects concerning this in Revelation 12:9 15:44 again we see clues concerning the devil 15:47 where he came from and what happened to him. 15:49 In Revelation 12:9 the Bible tells us, 15:52 "And the great dragon was cast out, 15:57 that old serpent called the Devil, and Satan, 16:00 which deceiveth the whole world, 16:02 he was cast out into the earth, 16:04 and his angels were cast out with him." 16:08 So after Lucifer caused a great war, 16:11 and if you read there in verse 7, 16:13 you will notice that he caused a great war in heaven, 16:16 and as a matter of fact 16:17 when you look at Revelation 12:4, 16:21 it tells us that he was successful 16:23 in deceiving a third of the angels of heaven. 16:28 A third of the angels of heaven, how many is that? 16:34 The Bible uses, that doesn't give us a specific number 16:37 but concerning the angels that remained with God, 16:40 it says in Revelation thousands of thousands 16:43 and ten thousand times ten thousands. 16:46 How much is 10,000 times 10,000? 16:49 That's at least a 100 million, 16:50 but then it says thousands of thousands. 16:52 So of those that were deceived you can say 16:55 they were millions of angels deceived, 16:59 and where are they now? 17:02 Unfortunately, they are upon this earth, 17:04 eventually Satan and his angels were cast down to the earth. 17:07 Notice, I used the word eventually. 17:09 Some people think that immediately 17:11 after he sinned in heaven, 17:12 he was immediately cast down to the earth 17:14 and I say to you that is not correct. 17:17 A careful reading and a careful study will reveal 17:21 that he was cast out of heaven, 17:23 not to any place specifically in the beginning, 17:26 but eventually when Adam and Eve sinned 17:29 is when he was cast down to the earth. 17:31 That's another study 17:33 and we won't be able to do that today. 17:34 Now we read that the devil is a thief 17:40 comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy. 17:45 Now let's look into the Bible to see the kind of things 17:48 that the devil does. 17:51 In Luke 13 we find a discovery that should open some eyes 17:57 for some of the people that are with us 17:59 joining us in different ways radio, television, internet. 18:03 In Luke 13, we're gonna read verses 10-13 18:06 but we're gonna read beginning in verse 10. 18:10 Luke 13 beginning in verse 10, "And he, that is Jesus, 18:14 was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 18:17 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity 18:21 18 years, and was bowed together, 18:26 and could not in no wise lift up herself." 18:30 So this woman was sick for how many years? 18:32 Eighteen years. 18:34 Verse 12, "And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, 18:39 and said unto her, "Woman, 18:41 thou art loosed from thine infirmity: 18:45 And he laid his hands on her, 18:48 and immediately she was made straight, 18:51 and glorified God." 18:54 So I would glorify God also, if I was sick for 18 years 18:58 and Jesus put His hands on me and heal me, 19:01 I would glorify God as well. 19:03 This woman was rejoicing 19:04 because for the first time in 18 years 19:07 she was able to lift herself up. 19:10 You know it's interesting, I went to Jerusalem once 19:12 and I was walking there in a market place 19:15 and I saw a woman that was bowed down really low 19:19 and was walking like this as she walked. 19:22 It reminded me of this story how Jesus healed this woman. 19:28 And it's amazing what God can do even today. 19:32 Now let's consider, 19:35 the Bible says the following as you continue reading in... 19:42 I'm just gonna make reference to Acts 10:38 19:44 because Jesus came with the holy ghost 19:47 and He went about doing good 19:48 and healing all that were oppressed by the devil, 19:51 for God was with him. 19:52 But let's continue reading in Luke 13:14. 19:55 Luke 13:14, "And the ruler of the synagogue 19:58 answered with indignation, he was upset, 20:01 because that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath day, 20:04 and said unto the woman, 20:06 there are six days in which men ought to work, 20:09 in them therefore come and be healed, 20:11 and not on the Sabbath day." 20:13 This man did not recognize that a miracle from God 20:17 had taken place, and if God just made a miracle, 20:21 then God is authorizing the miracle. 20:23 Amen? Amen. 20:26 The Lord, that is Jesus, then answered him and said, 20:29 "Thou hypocrite, 20:31 doth not each one of you on the Sabbath 20:35 loose his ox or his ass from the stall, 20:38 and lead him away to watering? 20:40 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, 20:44 whom Satan hath bound, lo, these 18 years, 20:47 be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?" 20:51 And when He had said these things, 20:53 all his adversaries were ashamed 20:56 and all the people rejoiced for all the good things 20:59 that were done by Him. 21:01 Now the interesting thing about this scripture is that 21:05 it reveals to us that Satan is the author of 21:09 diseases and sickness. 21:13 Amen. Amen. 21:15 Now it's interesting that people say amen now today 21:17 to say that's right. 21:20 In the Bible when you say amen, it means so be it, 21:23 but amen is changed in meaning in these times. 21:29 So Jesus reveals that this woman was sick 21:34 because Satan had bound her. 21:35 Satan had put this disease up on her 21:37 and she could not lift herself up, 21:41 and brothers and sisters, there are people sick today 21:44 that is not their own doing 21:46 but Satan has put a disease upon them. 21:49 Now there's a difference between 21:51 that person that is sick 21:53 and the person that by his or her own choice 21:56 does things to make himself or herself sick. 22:00 It is very clear and known in the medical science 22:03 that if you smoke you're going to get sick, 22:05 you may get lung cancer, your kidneys may get destroyed 22:09 or whatever organs in your body. 22:11 You will get sick. 22:15 It is also known that if you drink for long, 22:20 for many, many years, you will also get sick, 22:22 you will also develop diseases doing drugs and, of course, 22:26 eating greasy foods day in and day out. 22:31 I'm sure you heard about a man that decided to eat nothing 22:34 but fast food for I don't know how long... 22:36 For a year I think it was. 22:37 He wanted to eat fast food nothing for a year 22:39 from a particular restaurant. 22:40 We're not gonna mention the name of the restaurant 22:42 because we're not going to give 22:43 any free advertisement to anyone. 22:45 So this man decided to eat only from this restaurant, 22:49 it almost comes out of my mouth. 22:50 Breakfast, lunch, and dinner from the same restaurant 22:54 and his plan was to go for a year. 22:56 But he began to develop high cholesterol 23:00 and was beginning to develop some of the diseases 23:03 that you wanna keep away from diabetes, 23:05 and he decided, I can't keep this up 23:07 or I'm gonna die before the year is over. 23:10 So this man stopped this project 23:12 and decided to stop. 23:14 So the Bible tells us that we reap what we sow, 23:21 so if you don't take care of your health, 23:22 you're going to get sick. 23:24 So we're making a difference between those 23:26 that get themselves sick by the things they do 23:28 and those that are bound with the disease by the devil. 23:33 And so I wanted to make that clear as we continue. 23:37 So Satan does cause diseases. 23:40 Now there is a chapter, two chapters in the Bible 23:43 that draw the curtain aside. 23:47 God draws the curtain aside so that we can see 23:50 the wickedness of the devil firsthand. 23:52 Let's go to Job 1. 23:54 In Job 1 we see the devil at work again. 23:59 In Job 1, follow along your Bible 24:02 and this may be new to some of you. 24:06 Job 1:1, 24:09 in Job 1 the Bible tells us, 24:12 "There was a man in the land of Uz, 24:16 whose name was Job, 24:18 and that man was perfect and upright, 24:21 and one that feared God, and eschewed evil." 24:26 This man loved the Lord, served the Lord, 24:29 and followed the Lord with all of his heart, 24:33 who made sacrifices unto God, 24:35 praised the Lord every single day. 24:39 Now let's go to verse 6 to save some time. 24:43 "Now there was a day when the sons of God 24:46 came to present themselves before the Lord, 24:48 and Satan came also among them." 24:51 Now you notice the difference here. 24:53 It says, "The sons of God 24:55 came to present themselves before the Lord." 24:57 But it makes a distinction. 24:59 It says that Satan also came among them, 25:01 what is it telling you? 25:03 That Satan was no longer a son of God. 25:06 So verse 7, "And the Lord said unto Satan, 25:09 'Whence comest thou?"' 25:11 Question, does the Lord ask questions 25:13 that He knows the answers too? 25:15 Yes, He does ask questions that He knows the answers too, 25:18 but He wants you to express yourself. 25:22 Notice, what does the devil say? 25:27 "Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, 25:29 from going to and fro in the earth, 25:31 and from walking up and down in it." 25:34 Showing that I own this place, 25:36 I go wherever I want in this place, it's mine. 25:39 Now the Lord knew that 25:41 but He wanted that to be expressed. 25:42 In verse 8, "And the Lord said unto Satan, 25:46 'Hast thou considered my servant Job, 25:50 that there is none like him in the earth, 25:52 a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, 25:55 and escheweth evil?"' 25:57 Was the Lord pleased with Job? Absolutely. 26:00 He's rejoicing for Job's dedication 26:03 and Job's love for the Lord that he was serving Him 26:06 and He said, "He's perfect and upright." 26:09 Have you considered him? 26:11 What does the devil say? 26:13 Does he know about Job? 26:15 "Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, 26:20 'Doth Job fear God for nought?"' 26:23 Ah, he's serving You, 26:25 he's beginning to insinuate things, 26:27 he's serving you for a reason. 26:29 Verse 10, "Hast not thou made a hedge about him, 26:32 and about his house, and about all that 26:35 he hath on every side? 26:36 Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, 26:39 and his substance is increased in the land." 26:43 Question, does the devil know about Job? 26:45 Absolutely. He saw, "This guy is blessed. 26:48 He must be serving the Lord." 26:50 And question, how does he know that there is a hedge about Job 26:56 because the devil kept trying to come in. 26:58 The devil kept trying to leave Job astray, 27:00 and Job was faithful, Job would pray the Lord, 27:04 Job served the Lord and the devil kept trying 27:06 to come in and could not get in to lead Job astray. 27:11 And he's confused, 27:13 "Why is this man still serving God. 27:15 I've done this, I've done this." 27:17 He's confused because Job loved the Lord. 27:23 Now verse 10, 27:28 I'm sorry, there's a scripture that I want to bring in 27:31 before we continue because the devil said that 27:35 there's a hedge above Job and the Lord blessed him. 27:38 Notice, put your finger there in Job 1 27:40 and let's go to Psalm 34. 27:43 Psalm 34, notice the blessings described for those 27:46 that serve the Lord. 27:49 Psalm 34:7, are you ready? 27:54 "The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them 27:58 that fear him, and delivereth them." 27:59 So what was the Lord doing? 28:01 An angel was above Job delivering him 28:03 from the attacks of the devil. 28:05 Notice verse 8, "O taste and see that the Lord is good. 28:09 Blessed is the man that trusteth in Him." 28:12 Was Job blessed? Yes, he trusted in the Lord. 28:15 "O fear the Lord, ye his saints: 28:17 for there is no want to them that fear him. 28:20 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: 28:23 but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing." 28:29 Praise the Lord. 28:30 Now it's a good time to say amen. 28:32 Amen. 28:34 That's right, so be it unto me, we can say, so be it unto me. 28:37 So, brothers and sisters, these are blessings 28:39 the Lord wants to give us. 28:41 He wants to encamp round about us 28:45 so that the devil will not lead us 28:48 astray and destroy us. 28:50 Let's go back to Job 11. 28:53 Let's go back to the conversation 28:55 and now verse on 11, God says, 28:59 I'm sorry, it's the devil talking still. 29:01 The devil says, "But put forth thine hand now, 29:04 and touch all that he hath, 29:06 and he will curse thee to thy face." 29:10 Satan is now challenging God. 29:14 "And the Lord said unto Satan, 29:15 'Behold, all that he hath is in thy power, 29:19 and only upon himself put not forth thine hand.' 29:23 So Satan went from the presence of the Lord."' 29:25 Was he happy so? Satan was happy. 29:28 Now, he's gonna give me access to Job. 29:30 Now, I get to do this guy harm. 29:33 And so the Lord said, he's in thy power. 29:36 So He's giving him authority to get in. 29:40 What happened to Brother Job? 29:44 It's terrible and I hope none of this stuff 29:46 happens to anyone here 29:47 because Job went through something that some of us say 29:51 things like, "Ah, what a day. 29:54 It's going from bad to worse. 29:56 I don't know if it can get any worse." 29:59 And, brothers and sisters, I don't think they can compare 30:02 with the things that Job went through in one day. 30:05 Sometimes we complain about little things, 30:07 very little things, and I'm ashamed to say, 30:10 I think I may have complained about some very little things. 30:15 You know sometimes the Lord does allows things 30:17 to happen to us for our own good 30:20 so that we can open our eyes and notice, 30:22 "Hey, you're not really spending time with me." 30:26 So let's see what happened to Job. 30:29 In Job 1:13 the Bible says, 30:31 "And there was a day when his sons and daughters 30:34 were eating and drinking wine 30:35 in their eldest brother's house. 30:37 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, 30:40 "The oxen were plowing, 30:42 and the asses were feeding beside them, 30:43 those were the donkeys, and the Sabeans fell upon them, 30:47 and took them away." 30:49 Yea, they have slain the servants 30:51 with the edge of the sword, 30:53 and I only alone, escaped to tell you. 30:57 I am only escaped alone to tell you." 31:00 So we have here a terrible news, 31:04 this man came with terrible news to Job 31:07 that anybody would cry over. 31:10 Notice verse 16, "While he was yet speaking, 31:13 there came also another and said, 31:15 "The fire of God is fallen from heaven 31:18 and have burned up the sheep 31:21 and the servants and consume them 31:23 and I only am escaped alone to tell thee." 31:28 So Job lost his sons, he lost the flock 31:32 and one after another bad news come. 31:36 "While he was yet speaking, more bad news, 31:39 there came also another, and said, 31:41 "The Chaldeans made out three bands, 31:43 and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, 31:47 yes, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword, 31:50 and I only am escaped alone to tell thee." 31:55 Is that enough bad news? 31:58 No, there was more, "While he was yet speaking, 32:00 there came also another and said, 32:03 "Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine 32:05 in the eldest brother's house." 32:07 Going back to what was originally mentioned. 32:09 "And, behold, there came a great wind 32:11 from the wilderness, 32:13 and smote the four corners of the house, 32:16 and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead, 32:19 and I only am escaped alone to tell you." 32:23 Wow! 32:25 How many of you would like to hear bad news 32:27 all in one day like this? 32:29 Not one hand, not even the first bad news, right? 32:32 And Job went through all this in one single day. 32:35 You know, I've heard some people and unfortunate, 32:38 I'm sorry that they've gone through that experience. 32:39 They say, you know, they lost a loved one, 32:43 one month and maybe the next month 32:44 they lose another one, 32:45 or in the same year they lose another one, 32:47 it's sad and tragic what happens in this world. 32:54 That's why God promises a better world 32:56 where there is no sickness, pain, 32:58 no death, and no diseases. 33:01 And so I encourage everyone to follow Jesus 33:04 because He is the way, the truth, and the life. 33:07 Now there are two things that I want to continue 33:11 to talk about here, one is that, 33:14 one of the servant said in verse 16, he said that, 33:19 "Fire of God is fallen from heaven." 33:22 Now this was something caused by the devil. 33:27 Remember, the Lord gave the devil authority, 33:29 you have power over him. 33:31 It was the devil bringing fire down from heaven. 33:34 Did it come directly from God? 33:36 No, but it was fire coming down from heaven. 33:39 Well, how did it come? 33:40 It could have been lightning, 33:42 but here the devil is bringing fire down from heaven. 33:45 Question, doesn't the Bible say that in the last day, 33:48 in the last days, Revelation 13, it says that 33:50 there is a beast that is going to have power 33:52 to call fire down from heaven. 33:55 The devil will be at work in the last days as well. 33:57 And this is fire being caused by the devil 34:00 but who is being blamed? 34:02 The servant said, "Fire from God." 34:06 You see, so even today people are blaming God 34:09 for certain things that happen upon the earth. 34:12 Storms come through and destroys homes 34:15 and the insurance company say, "Oh no, we cannot cover that, 34:18 that's an act of God" they say. 34:22 But it's the devil that causes destruction. 34:25 And so there's another one here that you see, 34:29 the other verse that says that in the wilderness in verse 19, 34:33 "There came a great wind from the wilderness 34:35 and smote the four corners of the earth." 34:37 Some have wondered if this was some type of tornado 34:40 or something of the such? 34:42 We don't know exactly. 34:43 But it's a natural, it seems like a natural thing, 34:47 the natural elements of the earth were used 34:49 to cause this destruction. 34:51 And so I say to you, 34:55 you may do a little research and find that 34:58 the scientists today can go up on planes 35:01 and they call it seed clouds and by seeding the clouds 35:06 with certain chemicals can cause what? 35:09 Rain to fall upon the earth. 35:11 So don't put it past Satan, 35:13 he's able to do some type of control of the weather 35:17 to cause harm and destruction. 35:21 If you read in the book The Great Controversy, 35:23 it's interesting what you read there, 35:24 it says that the devil's able to put diseases on people, 35:29 and then call one of his witches 35:31 or one of his spiritual working people 35:33 and that person does some type of incantation 35:37 or some type of spell or whatever it is. 35:40 And the devil knows, "That's my servant that work, 35:43 he's working for me. 35:45 I put the disease on the person." 35:46 And to give people some deception 35:50 the person working for the devil, the witch, 35:52 or whatever may be taste the disease away 35:54 and that is simply the devil taking something 35:56 he's put there. 35:59 Remember, the woman for 18 years 36:00 was bound by the devil. 36:02 But Jesus came with the power of God 36:05 and destroyed the works of the devil. 36:09 You know, when I was a child, I heard an interesting story 36:11 and I was like, "Wow! 36:13 That's amazing what God can do." 36:15 It's was a story about a missionary 36:16 and I don't know where it was, I was little then, 36:18 so don't blame me that I forgot that, I was little. 36:22 And it talked about a missionary 36:25 that went to some village probably in Africa 36:28 or some other country 36:29 and that one of the witch, 36:34 a spiritualist there 36:37 came and said that they can make a radio play 36:42 with no batteries or no electricity. 36:45 And they said, "My god is greater than your God. 36:46 My god can make that radio play." 36:50 And so the person did whatever they did 36:52 and the radio was playing without electricity 36:54 and without batteries or any type of power. 36:58 And the missionary said, "Well, 36:59 my God is greater than your god. 37:01 My God can turn off the radio that your god turned on." 37:04 And he called upon God to turn off the radio 37:06 and the God turned off the radio, 37:07 and there was nothing that other person could do, 37:10 that witch doctor whatever the person was. 37:12 You see because God's power is greater than Satan's power 37:15 because God is the creator and Satan is a created being. 37:20 And I say to you that the weakest of God's children 37:25 when they put themselves in the hands of the Lord 37:28 is more than a match for the devil 37:30 and all his evil angels. 37:32 Amen. 37:33 So our only safety is to be in Christ Jesus 37:36 and to walk with Jesus. 37:38 That's why David was able to say, 37:40 "Though I walk through the valley 37:43 of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil." 37:48 So, brothers and sisters, can you say that? 37:51 Can you say, "I walk through the valley 37:52 of the shadow of death, and I will fear no evil." 37:54 If you're walking with Jesus, you can say that. 37:57 Praise the Lord. 37:59 So Job reveals to us 38:02 that the devil is at work doing harm. 38:05 Let's look at Job 1:20-22 really quick. 38:09 Notice the reaction of Job to all these terrible things. 38:13 "Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, 38:16 and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground." 38:21 Did he blame God? 38:23 No, it says, "And worshipped God. 38:26 Wow! 38:28 We complain for smaller things that have happened to Job 38:31 and Job is here praising and worshipping God, 38:34 and Job said in verse 21, "And said, 38:36 "Naked came I out of my mother's womb, 38:39 and naked shall I return thither. 38:42 The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away. 38:45 Blessed be the name of the Lord. 38:49 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly." 38:54 Now I want to praise the Lord for Job 38:57 that he was faithful and that even know, 39:00 he did know what was going on, he worshiped the Lord. 39:04 Brothers and sisters, 39:05 if you're going through bad things and you don't know 39:07 what's going on or why it's happening, 39:09 worship the Lord, praise the Lord 39:12 Because what? 39:14 God is able to deliver you from whatever you're facing, 39:16 and He promises to be with us every day, 39:20 always until the end of the world. 39:22 Praise the Lord for that. 39:24 And so I want to praise the Lord 39:26 also for something he said, the Lord gave. 39:31 You see, it is the Lord that gives us power 39:34 to gain the things that we have, 39:35 to gain riches, to gain wealth, and to work 39:39 so that we can put food upon our tables, 39:41 God is the giver of every good thing. 39:45 God is the giver of every blessed thing, 39:49 and so we should praise the Lord for His goodness. 39:52 Did you eat today? Praise the Lord. 39:55 Did you have a place to live today? 39:57 Praise the Lord. 39:59 And so I remember one time, a person called 3ABN, 40:02 I was answering the prayer line, 40:04 and he said this, 40:06 "What do I have to be thankful for?" 40:10 I said, "Well, that's a very strange call." 40:12 Usually people are calling for prayer, 40:14 "What do I have to be thankful for?" 40:17 And I thank the Lord for the answer he gave me. 40:19 I say, "Well, are you in prison." 40:21 He said, "No." 40:22 "You should be praising the Lord. 40:23 Are you in a hospital?" 40:25 "No." "Then you should be thankful. 40:26 You should be praising the Lord. 40:29 Are you in a mental institution?" 40:31 He said, "No." 40:33 "Well, you should be thankful. 40:34 You should be praising the Lord." 40:36 And he said, "Well, you know, 40:37 I guess I do have things to be thankful for." 40:39 Praise the Lord. 40:42 Let's continue reading, we now move to Job 2 40:45 because there are a few more things 40:46 that we need to share concerning Job. 40:47 Job 2:1-3, the Bible says, 40:51 "Again there was a day when the sons of God 40:53 came to present themselves before the Lord, 40:55 and Satan came also among them to present himself 40:58 before the Lord. 41:00 And the Lord said unto Satan, 'From whence comest thou?' 41:02 And Satan answered the Lord, and said, 41:04 'From going to and fro in the earth, 41:05 and from walking up and down in it."' 41:07 Now the Lord rejoicing still. 41:10 "And the Lord said unto Satan, 41:11 "Hast thou considered my servant Job, 41:13 that there is none like him in the earth, 41:15 a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, 41:19 and escheweth evil? 41:21 And still he holdeth fast to his integrity, 41:24 although thou movedst me against him, 41:27 to destroy him without a cause."' 41:30 I'm sure Satan was shocked that this man 41:32 went through all this and praised the Lord. 41:35 I'm sure he thought that the first thing 41:37 that he did to Job, Job was going to curse God 41:40 because that's what he challenged God 41:41 that he would do. 41:43 "Oh, if you do this, he's going to curse you." 41:46 And maybe the second thing, oh, 41:48 and Job remained faithful to the Lord. 41:50 Let's read in verses 4-9, 41:54 "And Satan answered the Lord, and said, "Skin for skin." 41:58 Now he thought about what he's going to say 42:00 to the Lord, he knew the Lord is going to ask him, 42:01 skin for skin, "Yea, 42:03 all that a man hath he will give for his life. 42:06 But put forth thine hand now, 42:08 and touch his bone and his flesh, 42:10 and he will curse thee to thy face. 42:12 And the Lord said unto Satan, 42:14 'Behold, he is in thine hand, but save his life."' 42:18 What's he saying? 42:20 "You may make him sick, you may cause him pain, 42:22 but don't kill him." 42:24 "So went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, 42:27 and smote Job with sore boils 42:31 from the sole of his foot unto his crown. 42:34 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal, 42:39 and he sat down among the ashes." 42:42 Job was suffering intense pain. 42:47 Now our son Samuel, as we are broadcasting live, 42:51 he's in a little island called Pohnpei in Micronesia. 42:56 And he has shown us some pictures of some boils 42:58 he's had while he's there. 43:00 And he says they're very painful, 43:02 I don't know if anybody here has... 43:03 Had anyone here had a boil before? 43:05 A few of you. Are they any fun? 43:07 They're not any fun, are they? They're painful. 43:10 You suffer when you have these things 43:12 and Job was covered from the sole of the foot, 43:15 I don't know how many you've had, 43:16 but to be covered from the sole of your foot 43:18 to the top of your head, it must be horrendous. 43:22 He was scraping himself, he was in agony and suffering. 43:27 And notice verse 12 and verse 13. 43:34 In Job 2:12-13 the Bible says, 43:36 "And when they lifted up their eyes..." 43:37 Some friends came to see Job. 43:40 "And when they lifted up their eyes afar off, 43:41 and knew him not, 43:43 and they lifted up their voice, and wept. 43:46 And they rent everyone his mantle, 43:48 and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven. 43:51 So they sat down with him upon the ground 43:54 seven days and seven nights, 43:56 and none spake a word unto him, 43:59 for they saw that his grief was very great." 44:03 Was Job suffering? 44:05 He was suffering 44:07 and he maintained his integrity, 44:09 and we praise the Lord 44:10 for the testimony that Job gave. 44:14 So, brothers and sisters, 44:17 if you're going through trials and tribulation, 44:20 go near to the Lord, approach the Lord 44:23 and He will help you bear it, and He will have 44:26 the best solution for your problem. 44:28 Brothers and sisters, the devil causes destruction, 44:30 the devil causes pain, the devil causes diseases. 44:34 The devil is out to kill, to steal, and to destroy, 44:38 and he is a deceiver and a liar. 44:41 Notice in Ezekiel 28:12. 44:45 Ezekiel 28:12, 44:49 Ezekiel 28:12, we have a scripture 44:53 that reveals to us who we are dealing with. 44:56 Ezekiel 28:12 says, "Son of man, 44:59 take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus." 45:02 King of Tyrus had been used here 45:04 as a symbol of Satan, 45:06 "Thus saith the Lord God, 'Thou sealest up the sum, 45:09 full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty."' 45:14 This is a reference to the devil, 45:16 and I read this verse to tell you that 45:18 the devil is full of wisdom. 45:23 And for 6000 years he's been tempting 45:26 and deceiving people. 45:28 Does he know how to do it? 45:30 Yes, we know that if you don't know 45:33 how to do something, 45:35 the first time you do it, you may not be good at that. 45:37 But you keep trying and trying and trying and trying, 45:40 you're going to get better at it, 45:42 and some people eventually become experts 45:44 in what they do within a few months, 45:47 within maybe a couple of years, three or four years. 45:49 They're considered experts in their field. 45:54 Imagine the devil that for about 6000 years 45:58 has been doing evil, deceiving people 46:01 and practicing evil, he's an expert, 46:04 and we are no match for him. 46:07 And the Bible says that we, human beings, 46:09 were created a little lower than the angel, 46:13 that even by creation 46:15 even if there was no sin upon us. 46:19 And the devil was created an angel, 46:21 he was still above us in wisdom and might. 46:24 So we are no match for him. 46:27 So please do not dare to face the devil on your own. 46:32 How should we face the devil? 46:34 Looking unto Jesus, 46:37 the author and finisher of our faith. 46:39 Why? 46:41 Because with Jesus all things are possible, 46:44 and it is only by going to Jesus 46:47 that we can resist the devil and be able to perceive 46:50 that he's trying to lead us astray. 46:54 Brothers and sisters, we are in desperate need of Jesus. 46:59 In 1 Kings 8:39, 47:01 I want to take some myths away. 47:04 1 Kings 8:39, the Bible says, 47:10 this is Solomon doing a prayer, 47:11 "Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, 47:15 and forgive, and do, 47:17 and give to every man according to his ways, 47:19 whose heart thou knowest, for thou, even thou only, 47:24 knowest the hearts of all the children of men." 47:27 Why did we read this verse? 47:29 We read this verse because this verse reveals to us 47:31 that only God knows what you're thinking. 47:37 Only God knows what you're thinking, 47:38 only God knows what you think about. 47:41 But question, can the devil read your thoughts? 47:44 The answer is no because we just read it, 47:46 only God knows what you're thinking, 47:48 but after you have a relationship with someone 47:52 for a little while, 47:55 I think I've heard my wife say at least once, 47:56 "I know what you're thinking." 47:59 We after knowing people for a little while, 48:01 we know how they react to things, 48:03 we know how they respond to things, 48:05 and we're able to say, "I know what you're thinking." 48:08 So the devil is saying, "Good guesser" 48:11 He has seen you, heard you, 48:13 and knows how you react to things. 48:15 So he's a good guesser but he does not know 48:18 what you are thinking. 48:19 And the best thing that can come out of our mouth 48:21 is praise to the Lord. 48:23 The Bible also tells us in Hebrews 4:12, 48:26 you don't have to look it up, I'm just gonna quote it. 48:28 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, 48:30 and sharper than any two-edged sword, 48:32 piercing even to the dividing asunder 48:35 of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, 48:39 and is a discerner of the thoughts 48:41 and intents of the heart." 48:44 So question, 48:46 does the Lord know your thoughts? 48:47 Yes, He even knows the intense of your heart. 48:50 And people around you may not know 48:52 the intents of your heart, why you say things 48:54 or why you do things 48:56 and the devil works hard to lead us astray. 49:00 Now we have enough time to go through a few things. 49:03 Let's go to Genesis 3. 49:05 Genesis 3, we're not going to go through 49:07 the whole process of what happened to Eve. 49:10 But here we have some things that reveal to us 49:13 how the devil works. 49:15 In Genesis 3:1, are you ready? 49:18 Say amen. 49:20 "Now the serpent was more subtle 49:22 than any beast of the field which the Lord God hath made." 49:25 We said already that the Satan worked through the serpent. 49:28 "And he said unto the woman, 'Yea, hath God said, 49:31 you shall not eat of every tree of the garden?"' 49:36 This is the devil talking through the serpent, 49:39 leading Eve to question what God has said. 49:42 And Eve goes to the defense of God, 49:45 in verse 2 she says, 49:46 "And the woman said unto the serpent, 49:48 'We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden. 49:53 But of the fruit of the tree 49:54 which is in the midst of the garden, 49:56 God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, 49:58 neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die."' 50:01 Question, did Eve know what God said? 50:04 Yes, she had not forgot 50:06 and they had great minds back then, 50:08 they don't forget things like we do. 50:11 And so she remembered clearly what God said. 50:15 And the serpent said, 50:17 now the serpent wanted Eve to say this 50:18 so that he can come in with this verse 4, 50:20 "And the serpent said unto the woman, 50:22 'Ye shall not surely die."' 50:24 What is the serpent saying? God is lying to you. 50:27 You have been deceived by God, you are not going to die. 50:32 "For God doth know that in the day you eat thereof, 50:35 then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as gods, 50:38 knowing good and evil." 50:40 Question, what did the devil just do? 50:43 The devil just told Eve, "God is lying to you. 50:47 He's deceiving you and He knows 50:50 that when you eat of this fruit, 50:53 you're going to be like Him, knowing good and evil." 50:55 Now he painted knowing good and evil 50:58 like it was a good thing, 51:00 "Hey, if you know good and evil, 51:02 you're going to be better off." 51:03 He painted like it was a good thing. 51:05 Notice how Eve reacts to what she heard and saw. 51:09 And when the woman saw, 51:11 she evaluated what she saw and what she heard. 51:14 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food 51:19 and that it was pleasant to the eyes 51:21 and the tree to be desired to make one wise. 51:26 She took of the fruit thereof and did eat and gave also 51:29 unto her husband with her and he did eat. 51:32 Now some people read this and think that 51:33 Adam was right there just listening to everything, 51:35 "Oh, okay, that's great. 51:36 Go ahead. 51:38 I'll just wait for you to decide what to do Eve." 51:40 Adam was not there. 51:41 What the scripture is simply saying is that 51:43 he also ate eventually, 51:45 not at this moment but eventually. 51:47 When Eve came to him with the fruit, 51:49 offered it to him, then he ate, not at this moment. 51:53 So Eve evaluated the whole thing 51:56 and offered he was saying to her, 51:58 "You have something right here 52:00 this tree of knowledge of good and evil. 52:02 God is hiding something from you, 52:05 he told you not to eat of it 52:06 because He's keeping something from you." 52:09 And this is what the devil does, did he take... 52:13 He mixes truth with error sometimes. 52:16 He makes God look like a deceiver 52:20 when he, Satan himself is a deceiver. 52:24 And he makes people think that 52:26 it's a horrible painful thing to be a Christian. 52:30 Why do you want to be a Christian? 52:32 You're not going to enjoy life, 52:34 you're going to suffer, if you're a Christian. 52:36 And the Bible says, "Taste and see that the Lord is good." 52:42 And the Bible says that, "He is a rewarder of them 52:45 that diligently seek Him." 52:48 And that God blesses those... 52:50 The Bible says the young lions do lack and suffer hunger 52:52 but they that serve the Lord, that love the Lord 52:55 will not lack any good thing. 52:57 And so you see the devil is painting God 53:00 as a bad person, 53:04 a bad evil person, 53:07 when God is the one that is good 53:09 and has our best interest in mind. 53:15 In 2 Timothy 3, in 2 Timothy 3, 53:21 we find the scripture that reveals to us the times 53:24 that we are living in. 53:26 2 Timothy 3:13 the Bible says, 53:30 "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, 53:36 deceiving, and being deceived." 53:39 So what's going to happen in the last days? 53:41 People are going to get worse and worse. 53:44 Satan is trying to lead people to the same thing 53:47 that happened during the time of Noah, 53:49 so that every thoughts of their mind 53:51 will be evil continually. 53:53 But we don't have to be deceived by the devil 53:55 because God has given us the Bible and God says that 54:00 this is a lamp to our feet, right? 54:04 And a light to our path. 54:06 So if you want to know that you're walking 54:09 in the ways of life, read the Scriptures, know them, 54:13 search for them because in them is life. 54:18 In James 4, in James 4, 54:24 we have a scripture that sometimes 54:26 is misquoted by people. 54:28 Sometimes somebody is down 54:31 because something that happened to them 54:32 or they fell into temptation, 54:35 and some people read the last part of the verse. 54:37 In James 4:7-8, the Bible says, 54:39 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. 54:41 Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." 54:44 Sometimes somebody is discouraged 54:46 because they fell and somebody says, 54:48 "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." 54:50 But the first part of the verse says what? 54:53 "Submit yourselves therefore to God." 54:57 Then you are able to do 54:58 what the following part of the verse says, 55:00 "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." 55:03 Because when you submit to God, 55:05 you unite yourself with the all mighty God, 55:09 the all powerful God. 55:11 You unite yourself with Jesus who said without me, 55:14 you can do nothing. 55:15 Without Jesus, we can do what? 55:17 Nothing. 55:19 Without Jesus, we can do nothing, 55:21 the opposite of that must be true. 55:23 If without Jesus we can do nothing, 55:25 with Jesus we can do all things 55:29 because with Jesus all things are possible. 55:32 And to that I say praise the Lord. 55:35 In verse James 4:8, the Bible says, 55:38 "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. 55:43 Cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purify your hearts, 55:47 ye double minded." 55:49 Brothers and sisters, in Genesis 3, 55:51 after Adam and Eve sinned, 55:53 God gave Adam and Eve good news. 55:56 Genesis 3:15 says, 55:58 "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, 56:02 and between thy seed and her seed, 56:04 it shall bruise thy head, 56:05 and thou shalt bruise his heel." 56:07 God is saying to the devil, "I'm going to put enmity." 56:11 In other words, you're going to be at odds, 56:13 you're not going to be friends. 56:14 "I'm going to put this enmity between thee and the woman, 56:18 between her seed and your seed." 56:20 In other words, God is gonna give us grace. 56:22 When we give our hearts to the Lord Jesus Christ, 56:24 He gives us grace to be able to resist the devil 56:28 so that he will flee from us. 56:31 Brothers and sisters, Satan is a deceiver and a liar 56:36 and God invites us to life, 56:39 an eternal life through Jesus Christ. 56:41 The Bible says in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world 56:45 that He gave His only begotten Son, 56:47 that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish 56:51 but have everlasting life." 56:52 We have a choice to make, 56:54 whether to follow God, or to follow the devil. 56:57 I encourage you to follow the Lord 56:59 where there are blessings 57:00 not only that begin on this earth 57:02 as we say in our 3ABN Latino, give your heart to the Lord 57:06 and you will begin to have a life of happiness and peace 57:09 that begins in this world 57:12 and continues throughout eternity. 57:14 And the Bible says, "If you believe in Him, 57:17 you will not perish but have everlasting life. 57:19 We have just begun studying concerning 57:21 the devil and his deceptions, 57:24 and I hope that by now some of you, 57:26 the eyes are open to understand that he is a deceiver 57:29 and that he has been also defeated. 57:32 Jesus Christ defeated him 57:34 and His victory can become ours, 57:36 if we give ourselves to the Lord Jesus Christ. 57:39 The best thing we can do is to take up our cross daily 57:43 as Jesus said and follow Him. 57:45 And where Jesus is, is where we should be. 57:49 I encourage you today 57:51 to give your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ, 57:53 and He will indeed come in, 57:55 and He will give you peace and joy 57:57 that begins in this world and will last 57:59 throughout eternity, do it right now. |
