00:18 Hello friends, and welcome to our Wednesday night Bible study
00:21 here at the 3ABN Worship Center. 00:23 This is, A Sharper Focus. 00:24 And thank you for taking the time to tune in. 00:27 All you need is a prayer, your Bible, 00:29 and we'll tell you in just a moment where to get 00:32 the lessons that you can follow along with us. 00:33 But thank you. 00:35 We're going to hopefully wind up the topic tonight, 00:37 The Anatomy of Righteousness. 00:39 But before we do anything, we always like to begin 00:42 with a word of prayer. 00:43 Let's bow our heads together and invite the Lord's presence. 00:46 Loving Father in heaven, we thank You 00:49 that tonight as You speak to us through Your Word, 00:52 that You'll also speak to us through Your Holy Spirit. 00:56 Guide us, Lord, in this very important topic. 00:59 It's one thing to be a member of a church, 01:02 but it's something all together different to be 01:04 spiritual and righteous. 01:06 And we pray that tonight we can discover, 01:08 and then we can receive the strength and power 01:11 that we need to reflect and reveal Jesus. 01:14 And we pray this in Your holy and precious name. 01:17 Amen. 01:19 Now we're on lesson number 38. 01:20 What number did I say? 38. 01:23 Here's the website you can get a copy of the lesson. 01:25 Go to ASF.3ABN.org and download lesson number 38. 01:32 And we are going to begin tonight on number 25. 01:35 But as you know, before we do anything, 01:38 we sing our theme song which is... 01:40 What is our theme song? It's on the screen. 01:42 It is what? 01:43 Victory in Jesus. 01:45 Let's sing this song together. 01:55 I heard an old, old story how the Savior came from glory, 02:02 how He gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me. 02:10 I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood's atoning. 02:17 Then I repented of my sins and won the victory. 02:25 O victory in Jesus, my Savior forever. 02:32 He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood. 02:40 He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him. 02:48 He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood. 02:55 I heard about a mansion He has built for me in glory, 03:03 and I heard about the streets of gold beyond the crystal sea, 03:10 about the angels singing and the old redemption story. 03:18 And some sweet day I'll sing up there the song of victory. 03:25 O victory in Jesus, my Savior forever. 03:33 He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood. 03:40 He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him. 03:48 He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood. 03:56 He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood. 04:06 Amen? 04:08 Tonight our topic is, repeat it with me, it's on the screen, 04:11 The Truth about the Anatomy of Righteousness. 04:16 Now the reason I use the word, anatomy, 04:18 because somebody asked me that, "Why anatomy? 04:20 Why not, The Steps of Righteousness?" 04:23 But, The Anatomy of Righteousness. 04:26 You see, there's a text in the writings of the apostle Paul, 04:30 "Christ in you." 04:31 Christ where? In you. 04:33 And where is our anatomy? 04:35 In us. It's inside of us. 04:37 It holds us together. 04:39 The anatomy of righteousness is Christ in us; 04:44 the hope of glory. 04:47 Now we have been covering quite a bit. 04:50 Quite a bit from night to night, from week to week. 04:52 Just dropped my lesson here. 04:54 And we want to just quickly review, quickly review. 05:01 And I'm going to go ahead and do that 05:03 without your permission. 05:06 But I just want to talk about why the anatomy of righteousness 05:10 is so vitally important. 05:13 When you open your Bible to 1 John 3:4, 05:16 go there with me, 1 John 3:4, there's only one thing... 05:23 How many things did I say? 05:25 ...there's only one thing that can keep us 05:27 out of heaven. 05:29 There's only one thing. 05:31 Now the reason why this is important is because... 05:35 My favorite verses in the Bible have become 05:38 1 John 3:1-3 05:46 But 1 John 3:4, it doesn't let us off the hook 05:51 when it talks about Jesus being developed in us. 05:54 Let's look at 1 John 3 and we're going to read verses 1, 2, 3, 05:59 and then we're going to go to verse 4. 06:02 Alright? 06:04 It says, "Behold, what manner of love the Father has 06:08 bestowed on us, that we should be called..." What? 06:12 "sons," or children, "of God," depending on your translation. 06:15 If you have the King James Version, it says, "sons of God." 06:17 If you have the New King James, it says, "children." 06:19 The inference there in the actual Greek is, 06:23 when it says, "sons of God," it's inclusive. 06:26 Women and men. 06:28 And so the New King James Version's translators 06:31 decided to include the word, "children." 06:33 Because it's important for women and men to know 06:36 collectively that we are all children of God. Amen? 06:39 So it says, "Behold, what manner of love the Father has 06:42 bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! 06:47 Therefore the world does not know us, 06:50 because it did not know Him." 06:52 I don't want to run past that first verse very quickly. 06:55 It says, when we know the Lord, the world doesn't know us. 06:59 But when we don't know the Lord, the world knows us. 07:03 Because 1 John 2, the Lord talks about, "Do not love the world 07:08 nor the things that are in the world." 07:10 And when the Bible was written, 07:11 it was not written with divisions. 07:12 There were no chapter, verse divisions. 07:14 It was a continual thing. 07:15 So you have in 1 John 2, "Do not love the world." 07:20 And the word there, "love," is not, "agape." 07:22 It's not, "phileo," it's not brotherly love. 07:25 It's a love that is carnal, a love that is sensual, 07:30 a love that is dark. 07:31 So the Lord says, "Don't allow My love 07:35 to be replaced by love for the world. 07:39 So now you go to 1 John 3, and then he says, 07:43 "Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us..." 07:47 The word, "love," is now used differently. 07:50 It's no longer the éros love, as in 1 John 2, 07:53 but it's now agape love. 07:55 And when we say, "unconditional," I want to 07:57 go ahead and qualify that very quickly, 07:59 because the Lord does not love us... 08:02 As a matter of fact, the only one that loves 08:06 without condition is God. 08:09 Alright? 08:10 Did yo get that? Can you say amen to that? 08:12 He doesn't say, "Well if you're good, then I love you. 08:14 If you're evil, I don't love you." 08:16 No. His love, God is love. 08:19 But we, not being God, we have conditions to our love. 08:24 That's why when the Lord asked Peter, 08:26 "Do you love Me?" 08:28 he said, "I love you." 08:29 He said, "Peter, do you agape Me?" 08:32 Peter said, "Lord, I phileo You." 08:36 He said, "Peter, do you agape Me?" 08:38 he said, "Lord, I phileo You." 08:40 Then He asked him the third time. 08:42 And so then the third time Jesus said, "Peter, do you phileo Me?" 08:45 He said, "Lord, You know I phileo You." 08:47 In other words, "I love you like a brother." 08:49 So the Lord decided, "Let's begin there." 08:52 And if you can begin there, and if you can begin to love 08:55 one another like brothers and sisters, 08:58 then eventually we will go from brotherly love to godly love. 09:02 Amen? 09:04 But you've got to begin with brotherly love. 09:05 "Love one another." 09:07 So this chapter, 1 John 3:1, now let's go to verse 2. 09:12 1 John 3:2 09:14 It says, "Beloved, now..." 09:17 What is the next word? "Beloved..." What? 09:19 "...now we are children of God." 09:21 When are we children of God? 09:22 Right now. 09:24 We're not going to become children of God; 09:25 we are children of God right now. 09:27 But I like this part. 09:28 And this is why the anatomy of righteousness 09:29 is so vitally important. 09:31 We want to know, we want to know, 09:34 that we are moving in the right direction. 09:36 Anybody wants to know that? 09:39 Yes, look up here, don't look at your book. 09:41 Don't read your Bible till I tell you to turn there. 09:43 Do we all want to know we're moving in the right direction, 09:45 yes or no? 09:46 So here, as we look at the steps, we have to begin with 09:50 the realization that we are God's children now. 09:54 But if you've ever had children, the one thing a parent wants 09:58 to know is that his or her, or their children or child 10:02 is moving in the right direction. 10:04 You don't just bring a child in the world and say, 10:06 "You choose your own direction." 10:08 Some parents do that. 10:10 But that's not smart. 10:12 "You train up a child in the way they should go." 10:15 So when we follow the Lord, the whole thing we're going to 10:17 point out today is, we are not content 10:19 just to be children of God. 10:22 We've got to know that we're moving in the right direction. 10:24 And even though righteousness comes from Jesus, 10:32 there's something we must do on a daily basis 10:34 to maintain that righteousness. 10:39 Let me go on further because I want to get to verse 4. 10:42 It says, "Beloved, now we are children of God." 10:44 1 John 3:2 10:46 And I like this part. 10:47 This is always encouraging to me because, you know, 10:49 sometimes we don't feel like we are children of God. 10:51 But it says, "And it has not yet been revealed 10:54 what we shall be..." 10:55 In other words, we haven't seen ourselves in the final product. 10:58 But you know who has? 10:59 You know who has? Somebody tell me. 11:01 Jesus has. 11:02 He sees us, He knows what He wants us to be. 11:05 And how does He know that? 11:07 Let's keep going. 11:09 "...but we know that when He is revealed, 11:12 we shall be..." What? 11:14 "...like Him, for we shall see Him as He is." 11:17 The reason why He knows what He wants us to be 11:19 is because He's the pattern. 11:21 Right, Dan? 11:23 He's the pattern. 11:24 So He's making us after His similitude, 11:28 according to His image, according to His righteousness. 11:33 Now why is that important? 11:34 When He made Adam and Eve, they were created in the 11:40 image of God. 11:41 "Male and female, He created them." 11:44 So they were in the image, but they lost that image 11:47 when sin entered in. 11:49 It was marred, it was distorted. 11:51 Now He's restoring His image in us. 11:54 But we have to know, unlike Eve, just like Eve, 11:58 she knew consciously that she was moving 12:00 in the wrong direction. 12:02 And see, the direction you move in can mar the image of God 12:05 that He's trying to create in you. 12:07 Let's look at the rest of it. 12:09 And here's where it becomes very important. 12:13 "We shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is." 12:16 Now verse 3 and 4 pulls you back. 12:18 Instead of saying, "Okay, He's doing the work 12:20 and we have nothing to do," 12:21 verse 3 and 4 pulls you right back. 12:25 "And everyone," in verse 3, "who has this hope in Him..." 12:31 Does what? 12:32 "...purified himself, just as He is pure." 12:35 Let me use the illustration of foot-washing. 12:39 If you've been to a communion service, we use foot-washing. 12:42 Not many churches, but the Adventist church 12:44 uses foot-washing. 12:45 Now why foot-washing? 12:47 Because we're already clean by baptism in Christ. 12:50 But foot-washing is a continual reminder. 12:53 And the reason why the feet were the focal point of the washing, 12:57 Peter said, "My head and hands also," 12:59 but the reason why the feet is because 13:01 the feet got dirty. 13:04 It's a symbol of how we get dirty in our journey 13:09 and how the Lord continually purifies us. 13:12 So as you are in the journey, you have to remember 13:14 that in this life, in this world of sin, 13:17 we're going to pick up the worldly dust along the way. 13:20 But we have to purify ourselves. 13:22 And we're going to talk about purifying ourselves 13:24 in obedience to the truth, 13:25 is what the spirit of prophecy says, what Ellen White says. 13:28 But now verse 4 brings us back center, where we're going to go 13:31 from verse 4 to the question of the night. 13:35 Alright? 13:36 And we are told in verse 4, "Whoever commits sin 13:40 also commits..." What? 13:42 "...lawlessness, and sin is..." What? "...lawlessness." 13:46 Or,..."sin is the transgression of the law." 13:49 Depending on your translation. 13:50 So how many of us have sinned? Somebody tell me. 13:54 All of us. 13:55 From the youngest to the oldest. 13:57 We were born into this condition. 13:59 So if there are people watching or listening to the broadcast, 14:01 and say, "Well, I don't really, I don't... 14:03 Can't think of anything I've done." 14:05 I met a young man once. 14:06 We had a series of meetings in California. 14:08 I think it was Sacramento, California years ago. 14:10 Pastor Batchelor had the series. 14:12 And... 14:14 Oh it was a lady. That's right. You remember the story. 14:16 It was a young lady. 14:18 And we covered the topic of sin. 14:20 And after the meeting she said, 14:22 "I don't, I haven't really sinned lately." 14:28 And I said, "You haven't sinned lately, 14:31 but your nature is a sin nature." 14:35 See, when the Bible says, "He shall save His people 14:37 from their sins," that's Matthew 1:21. 14:40 But John 1:29 says, "Behold, the Lamb of God that 14:43 taketh away the sin of the world." 14:46 See, the sin is the root. 14:49 The sins are the fruit. 14:52 Jesus didn't come to just cut fruit off of our tree. 14:55 He came to change the root. 14:56 When the roots are changed, 14:58 then the fruit will automatically change. 15:01 That's where anatomy of righteousness 15:02 is so vitally important. 15:04 So we're not looking for behavioral changes, 15:06 we're looking for nature changes. 15:10 But the question I'm going to lead in tonight 15:11 in question number 25 is... 15:15 How completely can Jesus really change us? 15:18 Let's go to question number 25. 15:20 How completely, in light of this sin nature, 15:22 how completely is Jesus able to deliver us? 15:27 Here's the question. 15:41 And as I said before, sin is the only thing that 15:45 can keep us out of eternity. 15:48 Alright, John 8:36 is where our answer is going to come from. 15:52 John 8:36 15:55 Let's look at that together. 15:56 And since this is our first scripture, 15:58 if you want to read along with us at home, you can. 16:00 Do it really loudly, because we won't be able to hear you. 16:03 But for those of us that are here, let's read this together. 16:04 It's on the screen. Together. 16:13 So it that completely free? 16:17 Yes or no? 16:18 That's complete freedom. 16:20 When you study the life of Peter, Peter is one of my, 16:22 Peter is one of my admirable characters in the Bible 16:24 because in some degree each one of us is like Peter. 16:27 But you know, I look at Peter's life and I think, 16:29 "Man, you know, I talk as much as Peter did." 16:33 Some people don't talk, but Peter talked a lot. 16:36 And Peter's mouth was in fifth gear, his mind was in first. 16:39 Peter was called impetuous. 16:41 Meaning, he did things without thinking about it. 16:44 He always had suggestions, 16:45 but Peter could not control his own life. 16:48 He wanted to be in those spectacular moments. 16:50 "Lord, bid me to come to you on the water." 16:53 Nobody else asked. 16:54 But he wanted to be the one to be in that spectacular moment. 16:57 See, the spectacular moments are dangerous moments. 17:00 Because you get on the water and you begin to look at yourself. 17:03 And Peter, what happened? What did Peter do? 17:06 He began to sink. 17:08 That's when he learned how important it is 17:10 to have a good prayer life. 17:12 Did he pray a long prayer? What did he pray? 17:14 What did he pray? 17:16 "Lord, save me." 17:17 Did the Lord do it? 17:19 Was Peter saved indeed? 17:21 Okay, let's write the answer down. 17:23 What assurance do we have from Jesus regarding sin? 17:28 We are free indeed. 17:31 We are free indeed. 17:33 Write that down. 17:35 And the word there, another way you can say that is, 17:38 if you want to just modify that or paraphrase that, 17:42 you are certainly free. 17:44 When Jesus sets you free, you are certainly free. 17:48 Think about that. 17:50 When Jesus set Peter free when Peter was taken prisoner, 17:54 and chained in prison, chained to guards in prison, 18:00 guards chained to the wall in prison, 18:02 the Lord broke the chains but he wasn't free 18:05 until he was let out of the prison. 18:08 So the Lord doesn't just break chains. 18:09 We talk about all the chains in our lives: 18:11 the chains of habits, and all these things that we talk about 18:15 holding us, the Lord doesn't just break chains, 18:17 but He leads you out of the place that holds you in bondage. 18:21 Amen? 18:23 Let's go to the next one. 18:24 Because the assurance is, and I want you to get this, 18:27 the assurance is, when the Lord sets us free, 18:29 we are free indeed. 18:32 What does that mean? 18:34 Is that reason to rejoice? 18:39 You guys need to go into prison ministry. 18:41 You're too quiet. 18:43 If we went to the local jail... 18:45 Which our church is very involved in prison ministry. 18:47 If you went to the local jail, or the state prison, 18:51 or the federal prison, and you asked the question 18:54 to the inmates, "How many of you want to be free tonight?" 18:58 not a one of them will leave their hand down. 19:03 Not one of them. 19:05 I went Brooklyn for a moment. 19:07 Not one of them would say, "I want to stay. 19:10 I really like it in here." 19:12 No, they want to be free. 19:14 Do you think after they let them out, they'll say, 19:16 "Man..." 19:17 "Are you happy that you're free?" 19:19 "Well, not really sure." 19:25 What do you think they would do? 19:27 Huh? 19:29 They would rejoice because they are free indeed. 19:33 That's why we have a program on 3ABN called, Free Indeed. 19:37 So the Lord, if the Lord sets us free indeed, 19:39 should we be happy? 19:41 Praise the Lord. 19:43 Because the only thing that can keep us out of heaven 19:45 is sin continually binding us. 19:47 But when He sets us free... 19:50 Sorry, when He makes us free... 19:52 Setting a bird free or setting a prisoner free 19:56 doesn't mean that they're made free. 19:58 He doesn't just set us free from our circumstances, 20:00 He makes us free in our character. 20:04 Go to number 26. Let's look at this. 20:06 It unfolds beautifully. It unfolds beautifully. 20:09 Now, I want to lead into this by going 20:12 to Romans 6:16 very quickly. 20:14 You've got to move fast with me because I want to 20:16 get through all of this tonight. 20:17 Go to Romans 6:16, I want you to see this. 20:20 Romans 6:16 is kind of a lead in to this. 20:25 And if you haven't seen the prior broadcast, 20:27 you might miss the connection. 20:29 Romans 6:16 20:31 Now this is the day to day. 20:34 This is the, what did I say? 20:35 The day to day. 20:37 Every day you wake up in the morning, every day you wake up, 20:40 if you wake up at night to go to work at night, 20:42 or wake up in the morning, whenever you get out of bed, 20:44 you have to make these decisions. 20:46 You have to make a decision who you're going to serve that day. 20:48 But here's what happens when you decide. 20:50 Verse 16 of Romans 6. 20:52 "Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves 20:55 slaves to obey..." 20:56 Or yield, as the King James Version says. 20:59 "... you are that one's slaves whom you obey, 21:02 whether of sin leading to..." What? 21:05 "...death, or of obedience leading to..." What? 21:08 "...righteousness." 21:09 You guys need to be a little bit more vocal tonight. 21:11 Sin to what? Death. 21:13 Or obedience to what? Right... 21:15 There's only two categories. There's not a third one. 21:18 Somebody asked me not to long ago, 21:21 "What about, is there a third category that we can be in 21:23 before we decide the other two?" 21:26 No, you're always in one or the other. 21:27 There's no third category. 21:29 We're either in sin or delivered from sin. 21:33 But now having said that, we're going to ask the question 21:37 under number 26 so you can see. 21:40 So, we're either moving in the direction of death 21:44 or we're moving in the direction of righteousness. 21:47 And what determines the two is to whom you present yourself. 21:51 Right? 21:53 Yannick, come here. 21:54 Dan, you're in the front row tonight, come here for a moment. 21:57 Dan does not like the cameras, 21:59 so he's going to come up here really slow. 22:01 We only have a few minutes left. 22:05 Janeck is always in the front row, 22:06 and I always mess with Janeck. 22:08 People know him. He's known world over. 22:11 Dan, come on this side. 22:13 Okay. 22:15 Do you want to be sin or righteousness? 22:16 Which one do you want to be? 22:18 I want to be righteousness. 22:19 Okay, so you're sin. Okay. 22:21 So get over here. 22:22 Sin is on the left, righteousness is on the right. 22:24 Okay, so I'm in the middle. I'm in the middle. 22:27 "Do you not know to whom you present yourself..." 22:30 If I present myself to Dan... 22:32 Come on, Dan, grab my hand. Grab my arm. 22:35 Dan's got me. 22:36 He's not going to let me go. 22:38 If Dan starts walking away... Follow me if you can. 22:40 If Dan starts walking away, I'm locked, I'm his slave. 22:43 I'm locked, I can't get loose. I'm locked. 22:46 So righteousness is in control of me. 22:49 Righteousness is going to make me do what 22:51 righteousness wants me to do. 22:53 Let me go. 22:56 Okay, my illustration is over. 22:58 Wait, but stay here. 23:00 Now equally, equally true is to the other side. 23:03 Sorry, Janeck, today you're going to be sin. 23:05 Bright sin. 23:07 So now I presented myself to Yannick. 23:11 Now don't let me go. 23:13 Start walking away. Start walking away. 23:15 Wait, Janeck, wait. 23:16 Let me go. Wait. Let me go. 23:18 Oh man, okay now we can stop. Our illustration is over. 23:22 Here's my point. 23:24 Both of you have a seat. 23:26 Dan, I'm not done yet. Come here. 23:29 I'm almost done. I'm almost done. 23:33 Whichever one I present myself to, 23:35 I become that one's slave immediately. 23:39 That's why Paul doesn't use the word, servant. 23:41 He uses the word, slave. 23:43 The word, slave, is active to this point. 23:45 Once you say, "Okay, I'm going with you today," 23:49 boom, slavery says, "Boy, I'm going to have fun with you. 23:52 I'm going to make a fool out of you." 23:55 I'm putting that in the right context. 23:58 No, you're righteousness. Sorry. 24:00 Sin is bright color. I know that... 24:02 So wait, wait. Yeah. 24:05 So sin says, "I'm going to make you look foolish today." 24:08 And sin will make you do things you never thought you would. 24:12 But righteousness will make you do things 24:14 you never thought you could. 24:17 Isn't that beautiful? 24:19 Because righteousness takes over and leads me in the, 24:23 "leads me in the path of righteousness 24:25 for His name's sake." 24:27 Can we say amen to that? 24:28 But sin, oh, "Lead me not into temptation." 24:33 But that's what sin does. 24:34 So thank you very much. 24:36 Both of you may be seated. 24:37 Amen? 24:39 I wanted to get that in your head. 24:40 Because what happens now, what happens... 24:42 This is very important to this next question. 24:46 It's very important to this very next question. 24:48 Did we read question number 26? 24:50 Now let's bring question number 26 on the screen. 24:51 Here we go. 24:53 When Jesus sets us free... 25:04 Okay now in the illustration, He breaks the hold 25:08 that Yannick had on me. 25:11 And I'm standing here. 25:13 He doesn't want me to just be standing here. 25:15 Because remember, there's no third category. 25:17 You're either in his grasp or in His grasp. 25:20 Now let's look at Romans 6:18 where the answer comes from. 25:24 When Jesus sets us free, what does He intend for us to become? 25:26 Here's the answer. Romans 6:18 25:29 And it says, "And having been..." What? 25:33 "And having been..." What? 25:35 "...set free..." Bring the scripture up. 25:45 I should have you guys come up one more time. 25:47 Come on up real quick. 25:48 Faster, Dan. You're younger than Yannick. 25:51 You're younger than Yannick. 25:54 Okay. 25:55 Come on, Janeck. Come over here real quick. 25:57 Hurry, hurry, hurry. 25:59 Okay, now you're holding me, right? 26:01 Okay, okay. Now, now... 26:03 Wait, not yet. 26:05 So Jesus comes along and sets me free from sin 26:09 and immediately links me to righteousness. 26:12 Having been set free from sin, 26:15 you become slaves to righteousness. 26:17 So now righteousness does what I thought I could never do. 26:23 But when I was with him, he made me do what I thought 26:26 I would never do. 26:28 He made me do things I would never want to do. 26:31 And He enables me to do things I never thought I could do. 26:36 Amen? 26:37 You may be seated. 26:39 That's what happens with righteousness. 26:40 When we decide on a daily basis who we're going to present 26:43 ourselves to, they take over immediately. 26:45 And when that connection is made, when we are handcuffed, 26:48 as it were, or chained, or become a slave to that power, 26:51 oh the goodness of God is reflected through our lives. 26:55 But when we link ourselves to this power, 26:57 we end the day and we say to ourselves, 26:59 "What happened?" 27:01 And we can trace it back to the beginning of our day 27:03 when we chose not to die to ourselves. 27:09 Because the reason why we must die to ourselves 27:12 is because we still have one thing we're contending with. 27:14 It's called... 27:16 Okay, okay. 27:18 Now let's go. Let me show you a passage. 27:19 Go to Romans. Okay, Romans 8. 27:23 Romans 8:1 27:26 And we're going to get through these. 27:27 I'm going to move at a pace in just a moment that you guys, 27:29 your head is going to spin. 27:31 But Romans 8, look at this. 27:32 This is after you're being set free, 27:34 after you've been set free. 27:36 Now you've got to choose how to walk. 27:39 Some translations take out the later part of this verse, 27:42 which is not permissible. 27:44 And this is important. 27:48 Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no..." What? 27:52 "...no condemnation to those who now are in..." What? 27:55 "...in Christ Jesus..." 27:57 If I could modify that a little bit. 27:58 "...who are in the grasp of Christ Jesus..." 28:02 And because we're in the grasp of Christ Jesus, 28:05 what has changed? 28:08 "...who do not walk according to the flesh, 28:12 but according to the..." What? "...Spirit." 28:15 Why? Because Christ is in control. 28:17 So I'm not walking according to the flesh. 28:19 I'm walking according to the Spirit. 28:21 Not walking in that direction, I'm walking this direction. 28:25 So when Christ has set us free, 28:28 we're walking completely differently. 28:31 Because we're in the grasp, Tracy, of righteousness. 28:35 And Christ is the one doing the work. 28:39 Let's go to Philippians. 28:41 I want to, these are text that are just very pertinent. 28:44 Very important, very significant. 28:47 Philippians. 28:49 Somebody else takes over. 28:53 Wow! 28:56 Okay, Philippians 1:6. Look at this. 29:04 Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. 29:07 Philippians 1:6. 29:08 It says, "...being confident of this very thing, 29:12 that He who has begun a good work..." Where? 29:15 "...in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." 29:20 But I want to show you another one. 29:21 Ephesians 4. Ephesians 4. 29:24 Alright. 29:33 Alright. 29:35 Look at Ephesians 4 starting with verse 17. 29:39 And we don't often go to Ephesians, but Ephesians is 29:41 written by Paul the apostle too. 29:43 And this is an enhancement of Romans 8. 29:45 Look at Ephesians 4:17. 29:47 A new passage I'm introducing. 29:49 But it says, "This I say, therefore, 29:52 and testify in the Lord, that you should..." What? 29:57 "...no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, 30:02 in the futility of their..." What? 30:04 "...mind, having their understanding darkened, 30:08 being alienated from the life of God, 30:11 because of the ignorance that is in them, 30:14 because of the hardening of their heart, 30:18 who, being past feeling..." 30:19 This is what happens when you refuse to follow the Lord. 30:23 You get to the point where you're past feeling. 30:25 You become recalcitrant. 30:27 "...have given themselves over to licentiousness, 30:31 to work all uncleanness with greediness. 30:37 But you have not so learned Christ, 30:42 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, 30:47 as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off..." 30:52 That you do what? 30:53 "...put off, concerning your..." What? 30:56 "... former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt 31:01 according to the deceitfulness of lusts..." 31:04 And verse 23, "...and be renewed in the spirit of your..." What? 31:09 "...of your mind, and that you put on the..." What? 31:13 "...new man which was created according to God, 31:17 in righteousness..." 31:20 And what else? "...holiness." 31:22 Long story short. 31:24 When we put off the old man, 31:26 we don't walk like the Gentiles use to walk. 31:29 We don't walk like we use to walk. 31:30 We're now walking in the new man. 31:32 We're walking in the Man called, Christ Jesus. 31:35 The old conduct is gone away. 31:37 Our minds are clear, it's no longer futile, 31:40 it's no longer darkened like it used to be. 31:42 It's cleared up. Christ in us. 31:45 And we're walking now because we have received Christ. 31:47 And that's what Paul, in fact, is encouraging us to do. 31:50 So if you look at the question, question number 26, 31:53 the answer is this. 31:55 When Jesus sets us free, what does He intend for us to become? 31:59 What did you put down? 32:01 Huh? What did you put down? 32:07 Say the word to me, somebody? 32:09 Say it. Slaves of righteousness. 32:12 Don't be afraid to say the word, slave. 32:14 It's a good word in this sense. 32:15 You know why? 32:17 Because as I showed you in the illustration of Dan and Janeck, 32:21 when righteousness takes hold of us, 32:23 it leads us in the paths of righteousness 32:26 for His name's sake. 32:28 That's the choice you make. 32:30 That's the choice you make. 32:31 When you're set free from one, the other one takes over. 32:34 You are now under the control of the other one. 32:37 Isn't that good news? 32:39 Because you know what? 32:40 You're going to be under the control of one or the other. 32:42 Be under the control of the power of Christ, 32:45 not the power of sin. 32:47 And both are powerful, but Christ is even more powerful. 32:50 What do you say? 32:51 Hmm? 32:53 That's right. 32:54 One leads... Sin to death; 32:57 the other, obedience to righteousness. 33:00 And by the way, it's a walk. 33:01 That's why you'll find in this passage, as well as Romans 8, 33:05 it's about a walk. 33:06 You know, when the children of Israel left Egypt, 33:08 did they leave by car? 33:10 By plane? 33:12 By carriage? 33:13 By chariot? 33:15 How did they leave? 33:16 They walked. 33:18 Your life is a daily walk with Christ. 33:21 A daily walk. 33:23 The Lord could have gotten them there in no time. 33:24 He could have said, "Get the best chariots in Egypt." 33:27 But the walk was the transformation. 33:29 So let me make the point very clearly here. 33:32 We must remember the destination. 33:34 But don't forget that who you are going to be 33:37 you are becoming in your walk. 33:40 Who you are going to eventually be, 33:43 that's who you are becoming in your walk. 33:44 So examine your walk. 33:47 Examine how you walk. 33:49 Examine your walk. 33:51 How are you walking? Towards Janeck or towards Dan? 33:58 Your walk will let you know what the final 34:00 product is going to be. 34:02 1 John 3 showed us what Jesus desires for us. 34:06 But He'll never force us in a direction 34:10 that we don't want to go. 34:12 So the condemnation comes to those who do not walk 34:15 in the wrong direction. 34:17 Number 27. Let's move right on. 34:19 Number 27. We're in Romans 6 again. 34:22 Number 27. 34:25 So the answer to number 26 is, Jesus intends for us to become 34:28 slaves of righteousness. 34:30 It's very important because He is in control. 34:33 I wouldn't want anybody else to be in control, 34:35 by the way, but Christ. 34:37 Number 27, here it is. 34:51 We're in Romans 6, let's go to verse 19 now. 34:55 It's beautiful. 34:56 Okay. And Paul breaks this down so classically. 34:59 Here's what he says. 35:01 He says... 35:31 Notice the two. 35:33 Slavery in both categories. 35:34 But, as you saw earlier, once I connect to Dan, 35:38 who is representing righteousness, 35:40 he's going to lead me in the path of righteousness. 35:44 But once you connect yourself to Janeck, 35:48 in this illustration, he's going to lead me 35:50 in a dark and downward path. 35:54 And when you look at the Bible stories, 35:56 keep this in mind, anytime you read a story about sin 35:58 you'll find these words: down, down, down, down. 36:05 Saul went down to Gaza. 36:09 Sampson went down to find the woman of his desire. 36:15 Jonah went down to Joppa. 36:19 He went down into the ship. 36:22 You always find those words describing the direction of a 36:25 a person who's running from the Lord. 36:29 And it's their walk. 36:30 That's why you have to examine your walk. 36:32 Your walk tells everything about your destination. 36:36 So here's the question. 36:38 What is the result of presenting ourselves as 36:41 slaves of righteousness? 36:43 What happens to us? 36:44 What's the last word on the screen? 36:47 Oh, here it is. 36:49 "...so now present your members as slaves 36:52 of righteousness for..." What? "...holiness." 36:55 Now this is huge. 36:56 I want to illustrate this very carefully. 36:58 You speak holy, you live holy, you make holy choices. 37:04 Because your members is your mind, your hand, your heart, 37:06 your life, your body. 37:08 Everything you do with it now is for holy purposes. 37:12 Did you get that? 37:14 Because when you read James, you know, he says, 37:17 "If the eye says, 'I'm not the hand. 37:18 I don't really need the hand.'" 37:19 Well you know that's not the case. 37:21 The toes need the head. 37:22 If you don't think your pinky is important, 37:24 hit it with a hammer, David. 37:25 And you'll know right away, the whole body responds to that. 37:28 So everything about us, the Lord is saying to us, 37:31 "Present your members: your hands, your thoughts, 37:32 your eyes, your fingers, your body, everything, 37:34 present them as slaves of righteousness, 37:38 and then holiness will be produced." 37:44 And all we're submitting to is the process 37:46 of Christ working in us every day. 37:48 Because I want to make sure I'm not talking about 37:51 righteousness by works. 37:53 Because you're not working out your righteousness. 37:56 Who's our righteousness? 37:58 Jesus is. God is. 38:00 That's where our righteousness comes from. 38:02 But he that "has this hope in Him purifies himself, 38:08 even as He is pure." 38:10 When you're made pure. Huh? 38:12 And you've got to "work out your own 38:14 salvation with fear and trembling." 38:15 In other words, your responsibility, Janeck, 38:17 is to work on you. 38:19 Dan, work on you. 38:20 David, work on you. Tracy... 38:22 All of our responsibilities is to examine ourselves. 38:25 If you don't know what that's like, hire somebody to 38:29 video tape you for 24 hours... 38:33 ...and see if you like what you see. 38:38 You know those reality shows? 38:41 In reality there is a reality show. 38:44 We're going to see the video in eternity. 38:46 And if you want your DVD to be erased... 38:54 How many of you... 38:55 Don't answer the question. Think about it. 38:58 Wouldn't it be awful, if it weren't for Jesus... 39:03 Come on. 39:04 ...to see your DVD? 39:06 You think, "Oh..." 39:09 So here we are, we come to the judgment. 39:12 "That you may have boldness in the day of judgment." 39:14 Jesus is your Savior. 39:16 He has expunged your record. 39:17 And Satan says, "He should not be let in 39:20 for the following reasons." 39:22 And Jesus says, "Okay, show me the video." 39:25 And he goes to find the video; it's been deleted. 39:30 Amen? 39:32 "If you confess your sins, He is faithful and just 39:35 to forgive you of your sin and cleanse you 39:37 from all unrighteousness." 39:41 That's a reason to be excited. 39:42 So we're not talking about fundamentals here. 39:44 We're talking about the most fundamental of all. 39:48 Getting out of who we were, 39:50 getting into who we can be in Christ 39:52 so He can make us who He knows that we can all be one day. 39:56 And there's nothing else you can trade for that. 39:57 No car, no house, no fame, no fortune, no status in life. 40:01 Nothing can prepare you for the joy to come. 40:03 For those who choose not Christ, there's going to be weeping and 40:06 wailing and gnashing of teeth when they see the end result 40:10 that the only thing at the end of that road 40:12 is death and hell, and the lake of fire. 40:16 And I want to make a point on that. 40:17 The Lord is not burning people up because He doesn't love them. 40:19 He loves everyone. 40:20 But if you choose not to have your nature changed, 40:23 He's not letting an old nature go into the New Jerusalem. 40:29 Right. 40:30 So He's destroying sin. 40:32 And if sin is in you, it's going to get destroyed. 40:34 And unfortunately, you will be the casualty of that. 40:37 So the Lord didn't send Jesus to condemn us, 40:39 He sent Him to save us. John 3:17 40:42 Let's move right along. 40:43 So the answer to number 27 was what? 40:47 Holiness; the end result. 40:50 Now let's go to 28. Let's go to 28. 40:53 Twenty-eight. 41:12 This is good stuff. 41:14 Praise the Lord. 41:15 This is good stuff. 41:17 Romans 6:17 41:18 Notice, we're taking just verse by verse, breaking it down, 41:22 so we don't run through the whole chapter. 41:24 So we can just... 41:25 It's like a good ole homemade piece of bread. 41:29 You're just, "Can I have another slice, Mom?" 41:32 That's how good God's word is. 41:34 "Taste and see that the Lord is good." 41:36 Romans 6:17, notice what Paul says. 41:39 I like this. 41:46 See, you're looking at yourself. 41:47 See, Janeck's got me. But it says... 41:56 Now, oh, this is powerful. 41:59 You know what it's saying? 42:01 When you recognize the end result of sin, 42:05 you're longing for something different. 42:10 So you hear the message of freedom, 42:12 the emancipation message of freedom, 42:14 and in your heart you say, "That's what I want." 42:17 And when you say, "That's what I want," 42:18 and you begin to obey it in your heart, 42:20 the Lord says, "Okay then, that's what I'm 42:22 going to deliver you to." 42:23 You see? 42:25 Any prisoner that's been incarcerated, is in there, 42:27 and it's his or her heart's longing to be delivered. 42:30 That's why the Bible says, "you obeyed from the heart 42:34 that form of doctrine to which you were delivered." 42:37 You have this desire to be free. 42:39 And He says, "Okay, when I deliver you, 42:41 that's what you're going to be. 42:42 You're going to be free." 42:44 Because in your heart, He awakened within us 42:46 this desire to be set free. 42:48 So He delivered us to that. 42:51 So let's answer the question. 42:55 Question 27. 42:57 Question 28. 42:59 Where is the transaction made that results 43:02 in our freedom from sin? 43:04 Somebody tell me. 43:06 In the heart. 43:08 Which is the mind. 43:09 Mind and heart interchangeable. 43:11 Because you know when they do the lie detector test, 43:12 your mind messes up your heart. 43:14 And your heart reacts to your mind. 43:16 So when you decide... 43:19 That's why we are told in Proverbs 3:5, 43:21 "Love the Lord your God with..." How much of your heart? 43:24 All your heart. 43:25 That's why you see when people are... 43:27 You know, the love symbol is, "I heart you." 43:30 It's deep. 43:32 He said, you obeyed from the heart. 43:34 He could have said, from the intellect. 43:38 But that's not the intent of the text. 43:40 Because he said, "Love the Lord with all your heart." 43:44 It didn't say, "Love Him with all your intellect." 43:45 Heart is the seat of our affections. 43:48 That's why they say, "I see that you're sincere." 43:51 When a person is sincere, they say, 43:54 "That's coming from your heart, isn't it?" 43:57 The difference, it's not coming from your mouth. 43:59 You find confessions in the Bible that are confessions 44:02 because people got caught, 44:04 but then you find confessions because people want to be free. 44:09 "I can tell that's coming from your heart." 44:12 That's why I say to children when they have arguments... 44:14 You're a teacher, so you know what I'm talking about. 44:15 When children have arguments with each other, 44:17 I never say to the other kid, "Say you're sorry." 44:20 I say, "Just apologize." 44:22 Sorrow is going to come on later when they realize what they did. 44:25 They come back later and say, "I'm so sorry. 44:28 I had a chance to think about what I did. 44:30 I'm so sorry." 44:32 From the heart. 44:34 So write this down. 44:35 Where does the transaction come from? 44:38 From the heart. 44:41 Wow! Wow! 44:44 Okay, number 29. We're moving at a good pace. 44:46 I think we're going to finish this lesson tonight. 44:49 I'm hoping to start a new one in our next broadcast. 44:52 Okay, number 29. Now, this is beautiful. 44:59 We're staying in Romans. 45:01 Okay, here we are. 45:15 I want you to know, slavery for God is not 45:19 taskmaster, whipping, throwing heavy bricks on your shoulder. 45:23 No, that's not the picture. 45:25 But the reason why the word, slavery, is used is because 45:28 He's got you. 45:29 You know how that's beautiful? 45:32 I'll show you in just a moment in John 10 45:34 how John, how Jesus illustrates this slave relationship. 45:38 Okay, but let's look at Romans 6:22. 45:41 What is the final reward of being a slave to God? 45:43 Here it is. 46:03 People say, "He's different. 46:06 She's different. 46:08 They're different. 46:10 That's a different life. 46:13 I see new fruit now." 46:15 And the fruit is evidence that when this journey is all done, 46:18 the end will be what? 46:20 Everlasting life. 46:23 Wow! 46:25 The ultimate reward of being a slave of God is what? 46:27 Everlasting life. 46:29 "That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have..." 46:32 What? "...everlasting life." 46:35 What else is there? 46:36 What else is there? 46:38 A Lamborghini? 46:39 A Bugatti? 46:41 Living on the 100th floor in a building? 46:42 Having a billion dollars in your bank account? 46:44 It's all going up in smoke. 46:45 What is that, everybody yelling your name? 46:48 Waving and bowing at the very thought of you? 46:50 No, it's all going up in smoke. 46:52 What is it? 46:53 To have no needs at all? 46:55 Have finances beyond limits? 46:57 To be able to buy whatever you want? 46:58 It's all going up in smoke. 47:00 It's all going up in smoke. 47:02 And you know, when you get to the place 47:04 that I'm at where there's more time behind you 47:06 than ahead of you, eternal life sounds really good. 47:09 Can I get an amen? 47:12 What else is there? 47:14 You see it all, television, the news, 47:16 you see the famous people, you see all there paraphernalia 47:21 of wealth and fame. 47:23 The miserableness of fame and fortune. 47:28 They're so miserable they can't be the same person 47:30 two days in a row. 47:31 They've got to always be different. 47:33 Blue hair this week, next week purple hair, 47:35 next week blue, purple, and green. 47:37 Next week all tattoos, no tattoos. 47:40 Holes everywhere. 47:41 They're trying to find themselves. 47:42 Let me just make an appeal to you if you're in that category. 47:46 You can only find freedom and joy in Jesus. 47:49 You can't find it in trying to change your identity. 47:52 Because no matter how you change your identity on the outside, 47:55 you're the same person on the inside. 47:57 Jesus wants to set you free, make you free, 48:00 and lead you in the path of righteousness 48:04 for His name's sake. 48:05 And the end result of that will not only be freedom from sin, 48:09 but everlasting life. 48:12 And I've often said, I don't need a mansion. 48:13 Just give me a sleeping bag and I'll be happy. 48:16 Don't need a mansion. 48:17 So write the answer down. 48:18 What's the end result? 48:20 Everlasting life. 48:22 Okay now, we've come to the point where we see 48:26 how this works out. 48:27 From slavery to sin to slaves of righteousness 48:30 because we obeyed from our heart. 48:32 Our fruit is different. 48:34 Now we're being changed by Christ. 48:36 Our end result is everlasting life. 48:38 But before we get to everlasting life, there's the question of, 48:41 how do we maintain our freedom in Christ? 48:44 Because everlasting life is the end of the journey. 48:47 Right? 48:48 But how do we maintain our freedom in Christ? 48:50 Alright, let's look at this. 48:53 We're going to go to our passage. 48:54 Here it is, question number 30. 48:56 How do we maintain our freedom in Christ. 48:59 Go with me to the passage you know very well. 49:01 John 15:5 John 15:5 49:05 And when we go to John, I'm going to show you the 49:07 passage that I alluded to about the fact that 49:12 yes we are, when we are connected to Christ, 49:15 it's a beautiful thing. 49:16 Okay, John 15:5. 49:19 Do we all know that passage? 49:21 Here it is. 49:22 Here it is for those who are watching. 49:24 The Lord says... 49:39 So the fruit that was talked about by Paul the apostle 49:42 in Romans and in Ephesians can only come from our connection. 49:47 If you want to write the answer down. 49:49 How do we maintain our freedom in Christ? 49:54 Abide. Say it again. 49:55 Abide. You know what abide means? 49:58 Abide means literally, to get connected. 50:00 It means, to get connected. 50:02 John, the youngest of the disciples, 50:04 loved to abide in Christ. 50:06 He leaned on Jesus' chest all the time. 50:09 Can you imagine leaning on the chest of almighty God? 50:14 Whoo! He just leaned there. 50:18 I guess that song must have been written, Learning to Lean, 50:21 had to be from that inspiration to some... 50:23 Leaning on the everlasting arms. Yeah, that's right. 50:25 What a fellowship, what a... Leaning on the everlasting arms. 50:29 Wow! That's just too much to even think about. 50:33 So the answer is, abide. 50:35 The answer is, abide. 50:37 What is the answer? Abide. 50:40 Now we're going to get a little deeper in number 31. 50:44 Because the Christian life is kind of like directions. 50:51 Or for those of you who are builders, it's like a ladder. 50:54 There's so much of our Christian life that's like a ladder. 50:57 You don't jump from the first rung on the ladder to the top. 51:02 And I don't suggest you jump from the top rung 51:04 to the bottom one. 51:06 Because if it's not one of those three step ladders 51:08 in the kitchen, you can be in serious trouble. 51:10 Question number 31. Here it is. 51:13 Here it is. 51:21 We're going to go to 2 Peter. 51:25 We're going to go to 2 Peter. Alright? 51:28 2 Peter 1:5-8 51:36 That's right, you're either moving in the right direction 51:38 or moving in the wrong direction. 51:40 2 Peter 51:43 Here it is. 51:47 Wow! 51:51 Okay, I'm turning there. 51:56 Okay, here it is. 52:01 Okay, starting in 2 Peter 1. 52:08 2 Peter 1:5 52:13 I was in 1 Peter; no wonder it looked very unusual. 52:16 I'm telling you to turn where I'm not even... 52:18 Okay, here it is. 52:19 Okay, but it says... Here we go. 52:32 Now look at the steps. 53:19 Now we talked about fruit a moment ago. 53:21 Right? Abiding in Christ. 53:24 When it says, abide, this is what's 53:25 happening when you abide. 53:27 You have all these virtues. 53:28 And I'm going to go back to them very quickly and run them over. 53:31 You have faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, 53:37 perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, love. 53:43 And if you do all these things and they abound in you, 53:45 you will neither be barren nor unfruitful. 53:48 In other words, they'll continually be evidence 53:50 in your life, that's what it's saying, 53:52 they'll continually be evidence in your life 53:55 that Christ is abiding there. 53:57 Notice, there's some people that would rather have 53:59 knowledge than brotherly kindness. 54:03 Some people are like, "I know all of the prophecies, 54:05 I don't need to love anybody." 54:08 But let them know, that doesn't work. 54:09 You have to have knowledge, and also brotherly kindness, 54:13 and also love. 54:14 There are some people that are not really kind, 54:16 so they don't have no good virtues. 54:18 The Lord says, "Wait a minute. 54:19 You have to have virtue." 54:21 And so all these are the Christian ladder. 54:24 So let's answer the question. 54:26 In what ways does the Bible describe Christian growth? 54:29 Here's where I'm going to give you the easy way to do it. 54:31 Just say, "See the text." 54:33 Because you can't write the whole answer in there. 54:36 Just say, "See the text." 54:37 So what is being talked about here is, 54:39 when you look at each of these... 54:40 And I would just enjoy spending an entire sermon 54:44 on just those verses. 54:46 Because each one of those aspects points out 54:50 a particular part of our lives that needs to be active 54:54 in order for us to be representing Christ. 54:57 Nothing of that could be inactive and Christ be seen. 55:00 We can't leave one out. 55:02 It's like, have you heard the phrase, 55:03 "the fruits of the Spirit," have you heard that before? 55:05 There's no such thing. 55:07 It's, "the fruit of the Spirit." 55:10 Like vitamin A, B, C, D, niacin, 55:13 the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, 55:16 gentleness, meekness, patience. 55:18 Now, say you have joy, but you don't have any peace. 55:24 Say you have patience, but you don't have any love. 55:29 You can't have the fruit and any of those qualities be missing. 55:34 The fruit brings with it all of those qualities. 55:36 Amen? 55:38 Let's go on quickly now. 55:40 And now question 32. 55:43 Question 32. 55:51 2 Peter 1:10 55:56 2 Peter 1:10 55:58 Since we're in that chapter, 56:00 let's just look at the verse together. 56:01 And it says... 56:16 These things that were outlined in the verses. 56:19 Ooh, look at this. 56:26 Now have you ever heard the phrase, "stumbling block"? 56:30 It doesn't just mean that you won't ever stumble, 56:33 but it means you won't give anybody else 56:34 occasion to stumble. 56:37 That's what it means. 56:39 It doesn't mean just that you'll be good, 56:41 it just means your life will enable others to walk. 56:44 That's why the Bible is a full book. 56:45 It says, "Make straight paths for your feet 56:48 so that the people that are lame won't be stumbling 56:51 along the way looking at you." 56:53 It's very indicative, very important. 56:55 And I think I might be able to get one more in. 56:58 Yeah, we have enough to get in. 57:00 So what does the Christian ladder accomplish? 57:03 You don't stumble. 57:05 Very quickly, last one. 57:08 Well you know what? This is a very long passage. 57:10 I'm going to just... 57:12 I'm not going to chew it up to spit it out. 57:14 I'm just going to settle for the fact that in our next broadcast 57:17 we'll do 33, 34, and 35. 57:21 And then we'll go into our new topic. 57:24 You don't want to miss our new topic. 57:25 But let me just summarize it tonight. 57:27 Did you learn anything? 57:30 This lesson could be summarized in a very simple way. 57:33 Your daily walk with Christ will determine 57:36 which direction you're moving in. 57:38 Your daily walk with either righteousness or sin 57:45 will determine the final product that is going to happen 57:50 and be revealed in your life. 57:52 I would suggest to you that you choose righteousness 57:55 and become slave to Christ, 57:57 and God will reveal His righteousness in you. 57:59 Keep studying. 58:01 If it doesn't make sense, one day it will come into 58:03 a sharper focus. 58:04 God bless you. |
