00:19 I have the privilege of introducing my good friend
00:21 Chef GW Chew.
00:24 Those of you who are foodies here,
00:26 he has one of the best restaurants
00:28 I've ever been to in Oakland, California, called The Veg Hub.
00:33 But what makes his restaurant unique is
00:35 he produces his own protein line
00:39 called Better Chew.
00:41 It was just launched in Whole Foods market.
00:45 Most importantly though,
00:47 he has a passion for Christ and he's served as a pastor,
00:50 and he wants to use his gifts in food to create church plants
00:53 across urban centers in America.
00:56 I first met Chef Chewin a Modesto
00:58 when he uprooted his family
01:00 and came to California by faith,
01:02 not knowing exactly where God would lead.
01:05 My favorite memory of Chef Chew was two years ago at ASI.
01:10 I believe it was in Houston and he was making food...
01:13 He was making his own plant-based foods
01:15 at his exhibit booth.
01:16 And everyone would come around his exhibit booth
01:19 as he was serving up his quesadillas
01:21 and serving up his tacos.
01:23 And I remember when someone specifically came to his booth
01:26 and offered him a lot of money
01:29 and said that he had something big.
01:31 And I'll never forget this
01:33 when he came next to me and he said,
01:34 "You know, it is tempting
01:36 when someone offers you a lot of money."
01:39 But he's not fueled by money, he's fueled by ministry.
01:44 You can find Chef Chew online giving TED Talks
01:47 and also winning multiple food awards.
01:50 Today, you can also hear him later on
01:52 for the young professionals.
01:54 I know that you'll be blessed by hearing the testimony
01:57 of Chef GW Chew.
02:17 I would love to tell you
02:20 What I think of Jesus
02:25 Since I found in Him a friend
02:28 So strong and true
02:33 I would tell you
02:35 How He changed
02:36 My life completely
02:41 He did something
02:44 That no other friend can do
02:51 All my life was full of sin
02:55 When Jesus found me
02:59 And my heart was full of misery
03:03 And woe Jesus came and placed
03:09 His loving arms around me
03:15 Then He led me in the way
03:18 That I should go
03:24 No one ever cared
03:29 For me like Jesus
03:35 There's no other friend
03:40 So kind as He
03:46 No one else can take the sin
03:52 And darkness from me
03:59 O how much He cared
04:05 For me
04:13 Every day He comes to me
04:15 With new assurance
04:18 More and more I understand
04:21 His word of love
04:25 But I'll never know
04:28 Just why He came to save me
04:34 Till someday
04:35 I see His blessed face above
04:42 No one ever cared
04:49 For me like Jesus
04:56 There's no other friend
05:00 So kind as He
05:07 No one else can take the sin
05:13 And darkness from me
05:25 O how much He cared
05:31 For me
05:49 Thank you, Tim. What a wonderful song.
05:51 Good morning ASI.
05:53 Well, my name is Chef GW Chew.
05:56 And it's definitely a privilege to be here this morning.
05:59 I'm really excited.
06:00 And I'm gonna actually share my testimony this morning.
06:03 And now we can start by having a word of prayer this morning
06:05 if we can please?
06:06 Bow your heads with me.
06:09 Dear Father, I wanna thank You so much.
06:11 But I wanna thank You for allowing me
06:13 to share my personal story.
06:15 I remember coming to ASI my first time in 2001,
06:18 18 years ago.
06:20 And here we are today, Lord,
06:21 and I'm so grateful to see what You've done in my life.
06:24 I pray today, Lord, that You will be with me, Lord,
06:26 as You'll share Your words through me
06:27 and that I can inspire someone, Lord,
06:30 to know that You are truly a friend.
06:32 And that through You, Lord, we can do all things.
06:35 Thank You so much and be with us now me pray,
06:37 in Jesus' name.
06:39 Amen.
06:40 Well, I hope you guys are ready to go
06:42 on a journey this morning
06:43 because I can tell you that
06:44 my life is truly a miracle story.
06:48 You know, I started out I'm actually...
06:50 My real name is actually Chew.
06:53 My last name is actually C-H-E-W.
06:57 And as I like to say, as I always say,
06:59 "Gonna give you something to chew on."
07:02 Is that okay?
07:03 Gonna give you something to chew on.
07:05 We can go ahead and play the first slide.
07:08 And again, my life started out,
07:10 you know, as actually,
07:11 I was actually adopted at birth.
07:14 And amazingly, I was born to a family
07:16 that had the last name Chew.
07:18 And that was pretty amazing
07:20 because who would have thought
07:21 that I would one day actually become a chef?
07:22 Next slide.
07:24 And so, I literally was brought up in the country.
07:26 I was a country boy.
07:27 I mean, I grew up as a country boy
07:28 and I ate a lot of meat.
07:30 I mean, everything from fried chicken,
07:32 to ribs, to pork chops, to ham.
07:35 I was literally one generation from eating squirrel.
07:38 So I don't know if you guys have ate a squirrel before,
07:40 but I was literally
07:41 once in a way even eaten squirrel, possum.
07:44 I mean, these are the things that I grew up eating.
07:47 And my mother actually was raised
07:48 as a Seventh-day Adventist,
07:50 but she had left the church when she became of age.
07:52 And so, but amazingly in third grade
07:55 my mother began to send me to actually,
07:57 she sent me to church with my family.
07:59 And that was an amazing experience
08:01 because my family actually was Seventh-day Adventists.
08:04 So you can imagine,
08:05 during the week I would eat the fried chicken,
08:07 the ribs, the pork chops, the ham, but on Sabbath,
08:11 I got introduced to veggie meat.
08:14 You know, so my family came out and they had grillers.
08:18 They had the Loma Linda Franks.
08:21 And I mean, you got to understand again,
08:23 I'm eating ribs and fried chicken,
08:24 but on Sabbath, they got wham.
08:26 I'm like, what's wham?
08:29 I mean,
08:31 it was interesting to experience this experience.
08:33 And so, you know, I grew up eating all of these
08:35 different types of,
08:36 you know, veggie meats as a child,
08:38 but also I was exposed to real meat.
08:41 And as a child, again, growing up,
08:43 you know, I saw a family members
08:45 who actually were coming down
08:46 with really bad lifestyle diseases.
08:49 Many of my family members actually had heart disease,
08:52 diabetes,
08:53 many of my family members died before they were 60.
08:56 And I saw the detriments and the impacts
08:58 of this pretty much unhealthy eating
09:00 and unhealthy lifestyle.
09:02 And that had a big impact on me.
09:04 Amazingly, as I was growing up,
09:06 I was going to church every weekend,
09:07 but I wasn't practicing in my home
09:09 because my family, my mother and father
09:10 was a Seventh-day Adventist,
09:12 but I was exposed to again Seventh-day Adventism.
09:14 And amazingly, when I was in 11th grade,
09:17 I was actually was a track runner.
09:19 And I ran, I mean, the mile, the 800.
09:22 And I ran a lot of races to the point
09:24 where I got literally a full scholarship
09:27 to run track.
09:29 And this is my 12th grade year in high school.
09:32 I got a full scholarship to run track.
09:34 And as I was literally running
09:36 one of my last races in high school,
09:38 my leg actually breaks in a race.
09:41 Do you imagine,
09:43 I got a full scholarship to go run for school,
09:45 run the college?
09:46 And my leg literally breaks in a race,
09:48 is literally, I mean again,
09:50 you know, I thought I was the coolest guy on the planet.
09:52 I was this class president.
09:54 You know, I had this thought I was so cool.
09:57 I had a full scholarship.
09:58 And a while I am running
10:00 my leg literally breaks in a race.
10:04 Now mind you, again my mother started sending me to school
10:07 when I was in third grade.
10:08 And again, I learned about the Sabbath
10:10 as I was growing up.
10:12 And I used to run a lot and a lot of them,
10:14 the track meets were on which day?
10:15 Anybody know what day the track was on?
10:17 On the Sabbath.
10:19 And again, the Holy Spirit began to convict me about,
10:22 literally about running on the Sabbath to a point,
10:25 I remember one race, not when I broke my leg.
10:27 But before this, I literally in one race,
10:29 can you imagine running?
10:30 I was running cross-country, is about a three-mile race.
10:33 And I literally stopped running in the race
10:34 because of the conviction that the Holy Spirit put on my heart
10:37 about the Sabbath.
10:39 And this began to become an overwhelming burden
10:41 to the point where literally,
10:42 I got a scholarship and then literally,
10:44 again, my leg breaks in a race.
10:46 I will tell you, oh thanks that sometimes in your life,
10:48 God has to break your leg
10:49 to get you to do the right thing.
10:51 Amen?
10:52 Come on now.
10:53 So God literally again slowed me down.
10:55 He stopped me in my journey.
10:57 And God had a purpose for me
10:59 that I never would understand it,
11:00 but now I'm starting to see what He's doing in my life.
11:03 My leg breaks in this race.
11:05 At this point, I have a full scholarship
11:07 to go to school.
11:09 Everything's paid for, my room and board.
11:11 My tuition is paid for.
11:13 Everything is literally paid for.
11:15 But now I'm being convicted by God
11:17 to give my life to Him
11:18 and to give up the scholarship
11:20 so I can keep the seventh-day Sabbath.
11:23 Amazingly, that summer again, my heart was pricked.
11:27 I began to read the book called The Great Controversy.
11:29 Anybody read The Great Controversy?
11:31 I mean, I was terrified, man. I was 17 years old.
11:36 First time reading this, you know, Spirit of Prophecy,
11:39 I read The Great Controversy,
11:40 and I had this overwhelming burden
11:42 that soon Jesus was going to come
11:45 and He needed young people to stand up for Him
11:48 and go work for Him.
11:49 Amen?
11:51 And again, I had the conviction to give my life to Him.
11:53 My mom, my dad, and my uncle, who was my spiritual mentor,
11:58 we went to my college coach,
12:00 I was going to Howard University
12:01 in Washington DC.
12:02 And I went to my college coach
12:04 and literally I couldn't even say it,
12:06 I was in tears when I told him
12:08 that I was not going to take my scholarship.
12:10 And I actually didn't tell him,
12:12 my uncle had to be my spokesman.
12:14 Almost like Aaron and Moses,
12:16 he had to be my Aaron and he told my coach and says,
12:18 "My nephew is not going to take the scholarship
12:22 because he's standing up for God.
12:25 He's gonna stand up for something that
12:28 that's gonna be a pillar in his life.
12:29 He's gonna keep that seventh-day Sabbath."
12:31 And as I understand it,
12:33 that seventh-day Sabbath was entering into Christ rest.
12:36 I was entering into a calling that I didn't understand.
12:39 You can look on the screen here, it says,
12:41 "Know ye not that they which run a race,"
12:44 it says, "but one receiveth the prize?
12:47 So run, that ye may obtain."
12:50 You know, God wanted me to obtain a heavenly prize.
12:53 I mean, I got a lot of medals.
12:54 I won many races, but God had something better.
12:58 It says, "Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown,
13:01 but we an incorruptible,"
13:03 and it says, "I therefore so run."
13:07 God had a new race for me. Amen?
13:09 Had a new race for me.
13:11 And I remember again telling that coach
13:12 that I wasn't gonna take the scholarship.
13:14 My father could not understand
13:15 that he was not Seventh-day Adventist.
13:17 He couldn't understand
13:18 what in the world was going on with my son.
13:20 He thought I was crazy.
13:22 But I had to stand for Christ.
13:23 Eventually, I still went to college.
13:26 And while I was at school,
13:28 I decided to actually
13:29 start changing some things in my lifestyle.
13:31 And one of the first things that God convicted me
13:33 on was that I started changing my lifestyle
13:35 and I literally became a vegan.
13:37 Can you imagine that?
13:39 Man, you got to mind you.
13:40 This was the year 2001, all right?
13:44 Anybody remember veganism in 2001 plant-based?
13:48 I mean, it was okay.
13:50 You know, I like to say, you know, I started eating,
13:52 you know, the plant-protein products.
13:54 You know, right now, there's a really big excitement
13:56 about plant-protein,
13:57 but a lot of the products back then,
13:59 you know, reminded me sad to say like dog food.
14:01 I mean, it wasn't the greatest for me.
14:03 I mean, and it was a big change for me.
14:05 And so, I literally at that point in my life
14:07 became a Seventh-day Adventist, gave my heart to Christ,
14:11 I got baptized, and I became a vegan as well.
14:14 And I remember 2001 that summer, I can tell you,
14:17 ASI has been instrumental in my life.
14:19 My first ASI was in 2001, in Sacramento,
14:24 can you imagine?
14:25 2001.
14:27 And I remember as a young person,
14:28 I went around to many of the booths,
14:30 I saw different schools.
14:32 I mean, I was a young country boy,
14:33 came from the country, and I came to Sacramento.
14:36 Miraculously I had a friend of mine
14:37 who went to Harvard University,
14:39 and he actually lived in Sacramento.
14:42 I didn't know that summer
14:44 that the ASI was gonna be in Sacramento.
14:47 I was actually on the plane.
14:49 And somebody was talking on the plane
14:51 about this convention
14:53 that they were going to was called ASI.
14:56 And when I literally got on the plane,
14:57 I asked myself,
14:59 what are you guys talking about?
15:00 And I kind of knew they were Seventh-day Adventists
15:02 'cause they look kind of different.
15:03 Amen.
15:06 I got to knew they were different.
15:07 And they said, they're going to ASI
15:09 and they're going to Sacramento where I was going,
15:11 I was like, Whoa, you're going to this ASI thing
15:14 and I say, I'm going to Sacramento
15:15 to see one of my best friends.
15:17 I said, "Can I come to ASI?"
15:20 And I literally came to ASI.
15:22 And I can tell you,
15:24 I wrote out a ministry plan for my life.
15:27 This is 2001, I want you to understand this.
15:29 2001, I wrote a ministry plan for my life.
15:32 And when I was reading,
15:33 I started reading Ellen White's books
15:35 about restaurants and medical missionary work
15:38 and centers of influence.
15:40 And I wrote this plan
15:41 and I called my plan ministries for young brother.
15:44 Amen.
15:45 Ministries for young brother.
15:47 And I remember I went to almost every booth in ASI.
15:51 And I said, "I got a ministry for my young brother
15:54 and I got a ministry plan."
15:56 I wanna do a restaurant.
15:57 I wanna do medical missionary work.
15:59 I wanna start a food factory.
16:00 I wanna do all of these things for Christ.
16:04 And I remember meeting different people.
16:05 I remember meeting young people,
16:06 people were excited,
16:08 and I'm like, I wanna give my heart to Jesus.
16:09 I'm gonna do... I'm gonna work for God.
16:12 And amazingly, that summer I made a crazy decision.
16:14 Don't think I'm crazy, but I made a crazy decision.
16:17 I quit college and became a missionary.
16:19 Is that okay?
16:21 I'm not telling young people to quit college
16:23 and be a missionary.
16:24 But I made the decision that summer
16:26 to become a missionary.
16:27 And I started my journey with Christ.
16:30 And I literally became a missionary,
16:32 a self-supporting missionary.
16:33 And amazingly, I started selling books door-to-door.
16:37 I literally was going door-to-door
16:39 selling books colporteuring.
16:41 And while I was colporteuring,
16:42 I realized that a good way to colporteur
16:45 is also to bring some products to the door.
16:47 So actually I started making my own granola.
16:50 I call it my granola, crunchy bunchy granola.
16:53 We don't box,
16:55 but we have a granola that will knock you out.
16:57 Is that okay?
16:59 So I started selling my books that had The Great Controversy,
17:02 had the Ministry of Healing, had the Steps to Christ,
17:06 then they'll get the book,
17:07 and I say, "You know something, ma'am,
17:09 we don't just sell books, but we got something better."
17:11 I got something called crunchy bunchy granola
17:13 and I said, "We don't box,
17:15 but we got something that will knock you out."
17:17 Amen.
17:19 And people began to get the granola from me.
17:21 And amazingly,
17:23 I was with the missionary team was four guys
17:26 who was knocking on doors,
17:27 we knocked on 40, 000 homes in Frederick, Maryland,
17:30 literally almost some 16, 17 years ago,
17:33 but we started while we were selling books,
17:35 we started developing food products.
17:37 And I personally began to develop
17:39 my own line of plant-proteins.
17:41 And I literally started experimenting 'cause again,
17:44 you know, I was a country boy,
17:46 I was familiar with eating ribs and steak and fried chicken,
17:48 and I kind of had a desire for some fried chicken,
17:51 but I wasn't gonna go to the real chicken.
17:53 So I wanted to figure out how in the world
17:55 could I have a piece of fried chicken
17:56 that tasted like fried chicken.
17:58 And so I literally started experimenting,
18:00 I'm out there thousands of experiments.
18:03 I mean, when I say thousands, I'm not exaggerating.
18:05 I mean taste touching every single grain
18:08 you can imagine,
18:09 different types of beans.
18:10 And my mama always last because she is my taste tester.
18:13 My mama will be in the kitchen.
18:14 I say, she was like a little bird.
18:16 She'd be like, mama taste it, what do you think, mama?
18:18 And I literally went through thousands of experiments.
18:21 And I discovered,
18:22 you know, that eating meat was like this experience
18:24 that I used to love.
18:26 And it was three things that I recognize that
18:28 that why I love meat so much.
18:29 And it was a texture, it was the taste,
18:32 and there was the appearance.
18:33 And I like to say that you can go to the next slide
18:35 that God began to show me these secrets.
18:38 And I read something that was pretty amazing.
18:40 And it talks about how God tells us that
18:42 the Holy Spirit would enlighten us
18:44 and how actually the creator would give
18:47 a skill and understanding.
18:49 And it says, "That God would not forbid them,
18:51 for I will reveal myself to them as their instructor."
18:54 And I read these quotes from Ellen White
18:56 how God will teach us through His Holy Spirit,
18:59 "It has been presented to me
19:01 that men and women of capability
19:03 were being taught by," who?
19:05 "Taught by God how to prepare wholesome,
19:08 palatable foods in an acceptable manner."
19:12 And I'm like, man, the Holy Spirit gave
19:14 Ellen White this almost 120, 130years ago,
19:17 and I believed it.
19:18 And I said, "God can help me and teach me
19:21 how to make these amazing foods."
19:23 And I tell you, saints, God fulfilled His word.
19:27 Is that okay?
19:28 Let's see what God has done.
19:30 The next slide.
19:32 And so God allowed me to create my own plant-based chicken,
19:34 I like to say, it's one of the best tasting
19:36 plant-based foods,
19:38 has a texture and taste
19:39 that satisfies your body desire for me,
19:41 it's made with whole food ingredients
19:43 that we could pronounce,
19:44 and it looks and it tastes and it feels like meat.
19:47 And we call our product we call it Better Chew.
19:52 Better texture, better taste, better chew.
19:55 I said, it looks like chicken, it tastes like chicken,
19:57 but guess what?
19:58 It ain't chicken.
20:00 It's crispy on the outside, and it's white in the middle.
20:02 Oh, it's delicious!
20:05 You know, one thing I learned about food,
20:07 you got to get people excited.
20:08 Is that okay?
20:09 You got to get people excited.
20:11 And God began to show me that,
20:13 you know, I mean again,
20:14 in year 2001
20:16 when I began to start eating these foods,
20:18 you know, I was making...
20:19 I took my first recipe was made with oat burgers.
20:21 I took an oat burger
20:23 and made into a little chicken nugget.
20:24 There was like, "Whoa." I was like, "Wow."
20:26 I mean, it was like,
20:28 an oat burger can look like a chicken nugget.
20:29 And I was like, "Man, this is amazing."
20:31 But eventually, the Lord began to show me these secrets.
20:33 And now we have these amazing products.
20:35 And God is starting to do amazing things.
20:37 And just recently this last week,
20:39 with our product,
20:41 we literally just launched our product
20:42 into Whole Foods market.
20:44 Is that okay?
20:48 We launched our product in the Whole Foods market.
20:50 We launched in Northern California
20:51 in 45 stores in Northern California.
20:54 And this was a miracle because I fulfill,
20:56 I believe that God again,
20:58 when I was herein ASI in 2001.
21:00 And I had that mission as a young brother
21:04 to see food manufacturing and healthy foods.
21:07 I mean, 17 years, 18 years later,
21:10 God fulfilled His word in my life.
21:14 You know, sometimes in life
21:15 when we have a calling from God,
21:17 sometimes that's calling take some time.
21:19 Is that okay?
21:20 You know, sometimes I know, in my experience, at times,
21:24 I've doubted God,
21:25 I couldn't see the end from the beginning.
21:26 But I can say today as I testify today that
21:29 God is always faithful, God is always on time.
21:34 I mean, amazingly,
21:35 the reason why I got in Whole Foods,
21:37 I remember I met the buyer at Whole Foods.
21:40 And I met him, I gave my 22nd speech,
21:41 I said, "Listen, man,
21:43 I got chicken that look like chicken.
21:44 It tastes like chicken, but guess what?
21:46 It ain't chicken. You got to try it."
21:48 He says, "Okay, man,
21:49 come to my office and come see me."
21:51 I went to his office,
21:52 and he had his team at Whole Foods.
21:55 And he was literally, he said, "Show me what you got?"
21:58 I'm like all right.
22:00 I'm a colporteur, man.
22:01 I'm not a seller.
22:03 I said, "I got something that's gonna knock you out."
22:05 You know, I was ready for that.
22:07 You know, it's amazing because God has...
22:09 When I came out of school,
22:10 and I didn't really go over that 20 year period,
22:13 but God again was teaching me
22:14 a lot of principles of business.
22:16 You know, again...
22:18 Anybody here colporteur? I got any colporteurs here?
22:20 Come on now like some hands right there, right?
22:22 You know, colporteuring is a difficult thing to do,
22:25 right?
22:26 You get a lot of rejection.
22:28 But what you also learn how to do,
22:30 you learn how to sales.
22:31 Is that okay?
22:32 Your salesmanship becomes perfected
22:34 because as you go door-to-door,
22:36 you become desperate sometimes.
22:38 I mean, one time a lady was at the door,
22:40 she said, "I ain't opening the door."
22:41 She said, "I ain't gonna open the door for you."
22:43 I said, "Why you not gonna open the door?"
22:44 I said, "Man, I got something that's gonna save your life."
22:49 And she looked and she didn't look but she said,
22:50 "Oh." She's cracked the door open.
22:53 I said, "Ma'am."
22:54 I said, "God has me here for a purpose."
22:58 And she was like, "Man, what's wrong with this guy?"
23:01 You know, sometimes you just got to give them that
23:04 Jesus coming speech,
23:05 you know, like He's coming today.
23:07 And she was like, "Okay, and she got some books."
23:12 I'm like, "Man."
23:13 I mean, one time I was in North Carolina
23:16 and I was, it was a barber shop.
23:18 And these guys in the barber shop,
23:19 I had my books in the bag and I said,
23:22 "Lord, I'm going to this barbershop."
23:23 Went inside the barbershop and man
23:26 and these guys and they were talking.
23:27 I said, "Listen, guys."
23:29 I said, "Listen, you guys talking about football.
23:31 But I know about a game
23:32 that says there's only gonna be one winner."
23:34 Amen.
23:35 It's only gonna be one winner.
23:37 And I said, "That game is called
23:38 the game of salvation.
23:40 And it's not really a game. It's a game for our souls."
23:42 God has already won the battle.
23:44 And I remember bringing those books
23:45 The Great Controversy, and this guy got seven books,
23:48 the barber, owner of the shop bought seven books.
23:51 And then he invited me to his church on Sunday,
23:54 and I sell books on Sunday.
23:55 Amen.
23:58 So I'm like,
23:59 "Look, I didn't see what God can do so I can,
24:01 I'm sure He can help me with Whole Foods."
24:03 Amen.
24:04 If He can work in the spiritual realm,
24:06 you better believe He can work in the physical realm.
24:08 Amen.
24:09 So the barber at Whole Foods became very excited
24:12 about our product to the point
24:13 where he caught almost as he like,
24:15 adopted me as being this new product
24:18 that's gonna be amazing at Whole Foods.
24:20 I mean, I can call him on my cell phone, I mean,
24:22 I can call him right now.
24:25 And he would answer.
24:27 But he became a friend of mine.
24:28 And he helped me to say, listen, he's like,
24:30 you got to do Whole Foods.
24:32 And I didn't have the resources.
24:33 I didn't have the money.
24:34 But God says, "Listen, I'm gonna provide."
24:37 And God provided everything I needed.
24:40 God provided.
24:44 And so again, we launched in Whole Foods.
24:46 And literally two weeks ago, we're on the shelf.
24:49 People are emailing us and saying,
24:50 "Man, this product tastes amazing."
24:53 It looks like chicken, tastes like chicken,
24:55 but it ain't chicken.
24:57 And so we wanna thank God for what He's doing.
24:59 And then next year, you see that,
25:00 you know, I've been able to go to major pitch competitions,
25:03 I was at a competition called Natural Foods Expo East.
25:07 And this is pretty much one of the leading conventions
25:09 in the natural foods category and food.
25:12 And we won first place
25:14 at two national pitch competitions.
25:17 And all I can say is give glory to who?
25:19 To give glory to God.
25:21 Because God says, "Listen, man, you was adopted at birth,
25:25 I gave you this name Chew.
25:27 And somehow you started
25:28 recognizing that you as a chef."
25:29 So I started calling myself Chef Chew and as I like to say,
25:32 as I always say,
25:34 going to give you something to chew on.
25:36 And God began to use this thing,
25:38 and now He's increasing our borders.
25:40 And so we're realizing that God has a plan.
25:43 And I'm gonna tell you some things here.
25:45 What we're doing now is prophetic.
25:48 God has a prophetic calling.
25:49 And you're going to see next that as you look at this.
25:52 It says, "When properly conducted the health work
25:54 is an entering wedge,
25:56 making a way for other truths to reach the heart.
25:59 When the third angel's message is received in its fullness,"
26:02 what's gonna be found?
26:03 "Health reform will be given its place
26:05 in the councils of the conference."
26:08 It says, "Also in the work of the church, the home,
26:12 at the table,
26:13 and all the household arrangements.
26:15 Then the right arm will serve and protect," the what?
26:19 "The body."
26:20 God has a mission for us as a church.
26:23 Keep on going, you're gonna see next
26:25 that Ellen White again prophesized this,
26:27 "A very serious objection to the practice of meat eating
26:30 is found in the fact that diseases
26:32 are becoming more and more widespread
26:35 among the animal creation."
26:37 It says, "The curse because of sin
26:40 causes the earth to groan
26:42 under the inhabitants thereof,
26:44 and every living thing
26:45 is subject to disease and death.
26:48 Cancers and tumors, diseases of the lungs,
26:51 the liver, the kidneys, all exist among," the what?
26:54 "The animals that are," what?
26:55 "Used for food."
26:57 I mean, come on, right now we're seeing a surge.
27:01 We're seeing a surge and people wanting to do what?
27:04 Go plant-based.
27:06 It's not by coincidence.
27:08 Next you can read the next slide.
27:09 "Let the diet reform be progressive.
27:11 Let the people be taught how to prepare food
27:13 without the use of milk or butter.
27:15 Tell them that the time will come,
27:17 will soon come when there will be no safety
27:20 in using eggs and milk, cream, or butter
27:23 because disease in animals is increasing in proportion
27:27 to the increase of the wickedness among men."
27:30 Again, I've seen this firsthand.
27:32 For me, this is a life or death issue
27:35 because when you have your family members,
27:37 your father, your closest aunts
27:39 died before 60 years old from lifestyle diseases,
27:42 from cancer and diabetes.
27:44 When you see this firsthand,
27:45 you recognize that
27:47 what God has given us as a church,
27:48 it's not just for us.
27:50 It's not just for Sabbath potluck.
27:54 I mean, I mean, how fun is it
27:55 just having potluck into serving ourselves?
27:58 What is that gonna do? I mean, it's great.
28:00 But God has called us to take
28:02 this health message
28:04 as an entering wedge into the world.
28:08 But what is happening right now.
28:09 What we see happening right now.
28:10 Next slide.
28:12 You're gonna see that we're seeing
28:13 unprecedented growth right now.
28:15 And literally, I was talking
28:16 to one of my friends West Abbell
28:17 and he told me that right now literally in 2000,
28:20 I think 2014 only like 1% of America was actually vegan.
28:24 Now literally in the last 4 or 5 years
28:26 we've seen 600% growth.
28:28 And veganism literally almost 7% of the,
28:31 literally of the United States is actually plant-based.
28:35 You're also gonna see that right now the people are...
28:38 I mean, buying these products
28:40 and there's a surge of millennials
28:41 and people are flexitarians
28:43 wanting to eat less meat.
28:46 You can see next
28:47 that right now here's the mission field.
28:50 You have millennials
28:51 who are saying they wanna go plant-based
28:53 because of ethical reasons.
28:55 And you will see that also on the last slide,
28:57 you'll see that, again,
28:58 millennials they wanna go plant-based
29:00 because of ethical reasons.
29:01 You also see that
29:03 these individuals like flexitarians,
29:04 that people who eat...
29:06 Who is saying, I wanna eat less meat,
29:07 I wanna have better tasting options.
29:08 And then you have the baby boomer generation
29:10 who literally are suffering from disease,
29:13 and they're wanting to transition
29:14 to a more healthier lifestyle.
29:16 Right now you guys are probably
29:18 even following the news on next slide.
29:19 You'll see that right now like there is companies,
29:22 anybody heard of impossible foods and beyond meat,
29:24 some of those companies.
29:26 I mean, these companies are beyond meat
29:28 that are IPO,
29:30 they went public on the stock exchange,
29:32 and they have almost $8, almost $9 billion valuation.
29:37 Can you imagine a plant-based burger?
29:41 I mean, we have been having burgers
29:42 for the last hundred years.
29:45 But they're literally getting
29:46 a $9 billion valuation on a burger.
29:52 Well, I can tell you, saints, that the rocks are crying out.
29:56 We've been given a work over 120 years ago.
30:00 And I'd like to say,
30:01 I don't think we've been as faithful of God
30:02 as wanting us to be,
30:04 and the world is monetizing it.
30:09 They're making money at it.
30:11 I'm not, I don't know their intentions.
30:13 But I know that God has given us a prophetic work,
30:16 a work that not only...
30:18 Yes, it's gonna, it can make resources for God's kingdom,
30:20 but it also can reach hearts with the gospel.
30:24 But God has given us a solution
30:26 to help to break the tide of disease,
30:30 and God needs us
30:31 as His people to get excited
30:33 again about the health message.
30:36 You're gonna see next that
30:37 science is also showing the importance
30:40 that literally an article came out in January
30:42 of how literally they're showing that
30:44 a plant-based diet is the way to go.
30:47 It was almost like they read Genesis.
30:50 They read the Genesis lifestyle
30:51 and it was like, yo, hey,
30:53 this was plant-based diet, it's gonna save the world.
30:56 Not only is it gonna save the world,
30:58 it's gonna save the environment.
31:00 You know, the world is scared
31:01 because they recognize that all this,
31:03 this meat eating, and all this excessive,
31:06 you know, factory farming is having
31:08 a big impact on the environment.
31:11 And they're saying we have to change.
31:13 We have to change our eating habits,
31:15 change what we're doing
31:16 because what we doing is not sustainable.
31:18 And so people are putting again
31:20 millions and millions and millions in dollars
31:23 to make a change in how they're eating
31:25 and the lifestyle we're having
31:26 in this country and around the world.
31:28 But again, saints, I wanna tell you all today that
31:31 what we're doing is a prophetic work.
31:33 You know, God led me
31:35 some years back in 2008,
31:37 God put upon my heart
31:38 to start something called my first restaurant
31:41 called Eating to Live.
31:43 You go to next slide.
31:45 And I remember in 2008
31:47 the Lord put upon my heart to start a restaurant.
31:50 And I grew that restaurant
31:52 and I started another restaurant in 2011.
31:54 And eventually God called me
31:56 to the beautiful state of California.
31:58 Anybody been to California?
32:01 And so literally, it's a quote it says this.
32:03 It says, "There's a work to be done in California,
32:05 a work that has been strangely neglected.
32:07 Let this work be delayed no longer.
32:10 As doors open for the presentation of truth,
32:12 let us be," what?
32:13 "Ready to enter...
32:15 As soon as possible
32:16 well-organized efforts should be put forth
32:19 in different sections of the city,"
32:20 it says, "and also in," what city is that?
32:23 What do you see?
32:24 It says, "In Oakland, California...
32:26 Other restaurants similar to Market Street,"
32:28 which is in San Francisco at the time,
32:30 "should be open in San Francisco and Oakland."
32:33 What year was that written, saints?
32:36 1902.
32:38 In my understanding there was never a restaurant
32:40 that we saw in any kind of periodicals
32:44 that there was actually a restaurant
32:46 in Oakland, California that was done by our church.
32:48 But I wanna tell you, saints, that prophecy was fulfilled.
32:51 Amen?
32:53 God literally has fulfilled that prophecy.
32:55 You know, amazingly God called me to California,
32:58 literally in 2000.
33:00 I believe it was2014.
33:02 And the reason I got to California,
33:05 you know, I got to California.
33:07 I actually met somebody guess where?
33:09 At ASI.
33:10 Come on now.
33:12 Can you get excited, ASI?
33:13 I met the secretary
33:15 of our conference in 2011 at ASI.
33:19 I had a booth here.
33:21 And I had a booth,
33:23 I had a restaurant at the time in Arkansas.
33:25 And I had a booth.
33:26 He saw my booth, he said,
33:28 "Chef Chew this restaurant concept
33:30 will go very well
33:31 in Oakland, California."
33:32 He says, "Once you come and visit me one day,
33:34 and come out to see me and talk to me about this restaurant."
33:37 So literally I met him in 2011,
33:40 a year went by, I never called him.
33:41 I was so busy in doing what I was doing in Arkansas.
33:45 And literally a year later,
33:47 the exact year like literally since I saw him at ASI,
33:50 I was in California doing a cooking class
33:53 for a church in Ceres, California,
33:55 in the Modesto Ceres,
33:57 California in the Central Valley.
33:59 And while I was there, I was an hour away
34:01 from the Northern California Conference office.
34:03 And I went to go,
34:04 and I called the office that gentleman
34:06 that I saw at ASI the prior year.
34:08 I called him up and I said,
34:09 "Dr. Watson."
34:10 I said, "Can I come see you?
34:12 I'm Chef Chew, you remember me?"
34:13 He said, "Chef Chew I was in Orlando, Florida."
34:17 Literally, that weekend he was at ASI the next year.
34:21 He says, "I came to ASI to come visit you.
34:24 But you didn't have a booth at ASI that year, 2012."
34:27 He says, "But guess what?
34:29 You're only an hour from me.
34:30 Come see me."
34:33 And so now I'm low. He came to ASI.
34:35 I wasn't there.
34:36 But I'm literally an hour from his office.
34:38 That next day on Monday, I caught him on...
34:40 I saw, I caught him on Monday that Tuesday.
34:42 I went to his office and I gave him my plan.
34:45 I had my plan, ministry for young brother.
34:47 I said, "Look, man, I got a restaurant.
34:49 We got to do this.
34:50 God is calling us to come to California."
34:52 The prophecies in the page.
34:54 I said, "We can make it happen."
34:55 He says, "Give me a proposal."
34:57 I gave him a proposal.
34:59 He was excited.
35:00 The conference president was excited.
35:01 They said, "Let's start a restaurant in California."
35:03 And amazingly, we talked to the leadership
35:06 of the GC at the North American Division
35:09 and they said, "Man, let's go forward,
35:10 Chef Chew come on to California."
35:12 Can we get excited?
35:15 So amazing.
35:17 I told my people in Arkansas,
35:18 I said, "I'm going to California."
35:20 Can you imagine?
35:21 Old country boy, eaten squirrel and possum and ribs.
35:24 He, oh, man, he going to California.
35:26 Man, I told my wife pack up the bags, baby.
35:29 Let's go.
35:31 And I had a Prius. I was ready.
35:32 I had a Prius. Come on now.
35:34 A Toyota Prius.
35:35 I was excited.
35:37 I got a Toyota Prius 48 miles to the gallon.
35:40 I said, "Baby, let's pack the bags."
35:41 That my son was only one years old.
35:43 I told, Arkansas, I was a pastor in Arkansas.
35:46 I had to say church, I love y'all.
35:47 But I'm going to do a church plant,
35:49 a restaurant in Oakland.
35:50 I said give me your blessings.
35:52 The Conference President said...
35:53 Imagine the Conference President said,
35:54 "Whatever you do, sir,
35:56 make sure you get this in writing."
35:58 That was the Conference President
35:59 at Arkansas told me.
36:01 So I didn't get nothing to writing.
36:02 And I went on everybody's where I was excited, oh,
36:04 I was excited, excited, excited.
36:06 Man, we drove across country,
36:08 took us five days from Arkansas to California.
36:11 And my baby was crying, my wife was upset.
36:13 She's like, "Man, are you sure
36:14 you should be going to California?"
36:16 I mean, a boy one years old.
36:18 Everything still in Arkansas and storage.
36:21 She's like, man, I said, "Baby, you're gonna be okay."
36:23 I get to California,
36:24 when I got to California y'all don't believe me.
36:26 I got to California.
36:27 I went to the conference office
36:29 and they said Chef Chew, man,
36:30 it's good to see you man.
36:32 Chef Chew, it's good to see you.
36:33 When I got there, they said, "Chef Chew something happened.
36:37 Something happened.
36:38 The paperwork was in process,
36:40 and there's no restaurant for you to start here."
36:45 So there was no money available.
36:47 I move my family.
36:49 I left everything.
36:51 My little boy was in the car.
36:53 I mean, he was crying, he looked pitiful.
36:55 He was hungry.
36:56 I got to California, the conference says,
36:58 "Sir, right now we don't have nothing to tell you.
37:01 There's things didn't work out."
37:03 I said, "How crazy was I."
37:07 And so now I'm stuck in California.
37:09 No job.
37:11 No, I got $10,000 in the bank.
37:14 I got bills to pay.
37:16 And I tell you, saints, I was afraid,
37:19 I was scared, I was terrified.
37:21 But I was also resting in Christ
37:24 'cause the same guy when I broke my leg,
37:26 and I had to give my scholarship up,
37:27 He provided.
37:29 Amen.
37:30 When I was a colporteur, and I had to work for food.
37:32 I mean, can you imagine when you're colporteuring,
37:34 you ain't got no gas money, you ain't got no food,
37:37 and you have to sell a book.
37:39 And I saw God sell book
37:41 after book after book
37:43 and He provided every single time.
37:46 So I knew that the same guy that did it for me then
37:48 is the same guy that was able to do it for me today.
37:50 Amen.
37:52 And I waited,
37:53 I mean, it's going on four months.
37:55 I'm in California. I got there in January.
37:56 Now it's April.
37:58 In April, I'm almost dead broke.
38:00 Money is out. I'm almost broke.
38:03 And I'm saying, "Lord, I have no job.
38:05 What are You gonna do?"
38:07 And literally man that the money wasn't coming.
38:10 And the Lord was like, "Okay, it's gonna be okay."
38:12 And the first thing I did, I said, you know,
38:13 so I need some money now.
38:15 I'm out of money.
38:16 I called my mom, is that okay? Can I call mom?
38:18 Is that okay?
38:19 Come on now.
38:21 I call it my mom. I call my mama.
38:23 I said, "Mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama."
38:25 I was singing the mama that day.
38:27 I said, "Mama, can I get some money?"
38:29 She says, "How much you need, baby?"
38:32 I said, "Mama, I need about $2,000.
38:34 I need a little bit money. I got to get over this month."
38:36 She said, "I got you baby. Don't worry about it.
38:38 I take care of you."
38:39 She makes me feel good too.
38:40 You know how mama's make you feel good.
38:42 She made me feel real good.
38:43 But my wife said, "Do you file your taxes yet?"
38:45 I said, "No, I ain't filed taxes."
38:47 Said, "Just go ahead and file your taxes."
38:49 I said, "I'm gonna to the tax later
38:50 see what happened."
38:51 Went to H&R block, wouldn't file my taxes.
38:54 I got there.
38:55 You know, most years I was, you know,
38:57 I didn't make a whole lot of money.
38:58 And I say, I spent maybe $1,000 and get back.
39:01 Filed my taxes,
39:02 the lady looked at me and said, "Mr. Chew."
39:04 He says, "You gonna get $6,000."
39:09 I say, "What?"
39:11 I say, "Are you serious?"
39:14 You don't understand says when I came to California
39:15 I had $10,000 in my pocket.
39:18 I'm broke.
39:19 My mama says, "I'm gonna give you $2000."
39:22 The taxer looked at me and said, "Mr. Chew,
39:24 you're gonna be okay.
39:25 You're gonna get $6,000."
39:27 I said, "Whoa!"
39:29 Now I got $8,000.
39:31 I mean, I'm broke.
39:33 And this is in a two-week time frame.
39:35 God gave me $8,000, right?
39:38 But He ain't done yet.
39:40 While I was in Arkansas, you have to understand,
39:42 I was at a stop sign in Arkansas.
39:44 A lady runs to my car.
39:45 I mean, she hits me in the back of my car,
39:47 it's boom, boom, this runs into me.
39:50 And my car gets this dent, you know and so forth.
39:53 When I finally get it, I never got it fixed
39:54 before I went to California.
39:56 Now I'm in California, right in the same time frame
39:58 when I got to $8000.
39:59 I said, "Let me go to the insurance company
40:02 and get it looked at."
40:03 And the insurance company looked at it and said,
40:04 "Mr. Chew, you can get the car fixed
40:06 or you can get the money?"
40:08 I say, "Hmm,
40:09 that money sounds pretty good right now."
40:11 Doesn't it?
40:13 I said, "How much money is going to be?"
40:15 He said, "$1600."
40:17 I said, "Man, I don't see no debt.
40:19 I don't know where it is that."
40:20 I said, "Give me that $1600."
40:24 Come on now.
40:26 Now I got $9600.
40:28 I'm not lying to you all,
40:30 I mean, I'm telling you all today.
40:32 I come $10,000. I'm broke.
40:34 Now I got $9600 in my bank in two weeks.
40:39 And then in same timeframe.
40:40 Can you imagine?
40:42 I was in Arkansas, I had Comcast,
40:43 I had electric bill, and all that kind of stuff.
40:45 I overpaid my bill before I left
40:47 and right during the same timeframe,
40:49 I got like three checks.
40:51 The checks total like $300, $400.
40:54 And now I'm sitting there
40:55 with guess how much money y'all?
40:57 $10,000.
41:01 Come on. Come on.
41:05 God provided for me.
41:08 And I'm telling you today when you got something
41:10 that God wants you to do, God can provide for you.
41:13 Quickly, you can see these last slides.
41:14 Let's see what God has done now.
41:16 Went to California,
41:17 God allowed me to start a restaurant here.
41:19 She says, "That we should have restaurants
41:21 that treatment rooms
41:22 in our centers of large cities."
41:24 You're gonna see next.
41:25 What it says next.
41:26 So God is like Jesus,
41:28 Jesus not only was a carpenter, He also was a chef.
41:29 Amen.
41:30 He had the Five Loaves and Two Fishes CafA(C).
41:33 He had the Miracle Juice Bar. Amen.
41:35 He had the Manor Cafeteria. Amen.
41:37 So I say, you know, I'm just like Jesus,
41:39 I'm gonna feed the people some good food.
41:40 Amen.
41:41 And God always provides. Amen.
41:43 Now we had a program in San Francisco
41:45 called the Bridges to the Bay.
41:47 And we launched the restaurant called The Veg Hub.
41:49 Is that okay?
41:51 And let's see what God did?
41:52 Let's see what God did, saints?
41:53 We opened this restaurant,
41:55 Conference President
41:56 and the Secretary Dr. Wilson is on my left,
41:58 the African-American gentleman.
42:00 That's the Vice Mayor,
42:01 Annie Campbell Washington in Oakland.
42:03 And we're at there, cutting the ribbon in Oakland.
42:06 Come on, saints.
42:07 It was a little delay,
42:09 but God always gives delays for His purpose.
42:10 Amen.
42:12 He wants my faith. He wants our faith to increase.
42:14 So He allows disappointment.
42:16 He allows delay.
42:17 He allows hardships for our own personal benefit.
42:21 Amen.
42:22 And so God provided. Here we are opening.
42:24 The next slide, you're gonna see right here.
42:25 Again, God put me in a room.
42:27 I made an owner's manual.
42:29 I had a 300 page owner's manual.
42:31 I said, you know, not only
42:33 are we gonna start a restaurant,
42:34 we're gonna start a restaurant franchise.
42:36 Is that okay, y'all?
42:37 I say we ain't got this happen in Oakland.
42:39 This is gonna be just the beginning.
42:41 Not only are we gonna have in Oakland,
42:43 we wanna come to LA,
42:44 we wanna come to Loma Linda, we wanna come to New York,
42:47 we wanna come to major cities around the country.
42:50 And let's see what God can do.
42:52 Amen.
42:53 Next, you'll see right here when we had the opening day
42:56 at the restaurant,
42:58 we had a line
42:59 that was wrapped around the block.
43:02 I mean, you don't understand.
43:04 I mean, I remember my first restaurant in 2008,
43:07 I had a dream
43:09 that we was going to experiences.
43:10 And my first restaurant
43:12 I didn't have this type of impact.
43:13 But I tell you in 2008 and had my first restaurant had a dream
43:16 that this would happen.
43:17 And I remember that day
43:18 seeing a line wrapped around the door
43:23 of our whole block almost 200 people
43:25 waiting in line to eat our Better Chew fried chicken.
43:29 It looks like chicken, tastes like chicken.
43:30 But guess what, y'all? It ain't chicken.
43:34 Next you'll see we also at our restaurant,
43:36 we got food critics that come,
43:38 they're amazed by the textures.
43:39 We got hundreds and hundreds of reviews from our community.
43:42 But most importantly, you'll see next
43:44 that God is doing some miraculous things.
43:45 We do cooking classes for the community.
43:48 Amen.
43:50 We have a program for youth in our community,
43:53 and we're teaching our young people
43:54 how to eat healthy
43:55 because we live in an area especially in Oakland,
43:57 where you have food desserts, where people don't have access
44:00 to healthy food options.
44:02 So we realized
44:03 there's a great ministry to be done.
44:04 And I believe that God wants us all to be
44:07 in some type of ministry for Him
44:09 because God needs soldiers.
44:11 God needs missionaries in these last days.
44:14 You'll see this next slide.
44:16 That our mission right now what we're doing in 2020.
44:19 2020's gonna be the year y'all.
44:21 I don't know if you guys getting excited about 2020.
44:23 But I'm excited about 2020.
44:26 2020 vision.
44:28 And right now our prayer as The Veg Hub
44:30 is that we're seeking to use
44:32 The Veg Hub as a church plant.
44:34 Is that okay, y'all?
44:36 As a church plant.
44:37 It might be some young people out in the audience today
44:40 who's saying, "Look, I wanna do something for Christ."
44:41 Come talk to me.
44:43 I'm gonna be
44:44 in the young professionals today.
44:45 You know, we're looking to start a church plant
44:47 in Oakland,
44:48 utilizing our vegan restaurant in Oakland.
44:50 We've been there for three years
44:51 making major impact,
44:53 and I believe that God wants to use this as a beginning.
44:56 He wants to see these restaurants
44:58 all around the world.
45:01 Our last slide in closing.
45:03 You know, amazingly, I will read this, it says,
45:05 "God would have restaurants established in the cities.
45:09 If properly managed,
45:10 these will become missionary centers."
45:14 I wanna tell you that today, saints,
45:16 that God needs missionaries.
45:18 God needs people who are willing to take risk.
45:21 Missionary work is risky.
45:24 It's not easy, but it's rewarding.
45:27 It's fulfilling.
45:29 I mean, it's better than any TV show sequel
45:32 you can ever watch
45:34 because you're walking with Christ,
45:36 your co-laborer with the angels.
45:39 I remember reading a quote that says,
45:41 "Angels work through our hands.
45:43 They speak through our voices.
45:46 God needs us in these last days,
45:48 and God needs you to be a missionary."
45:52 Right now we're gonna have a little small prayer,
45:55 a silent prayer.
45:56 And I want you all to think about your life,
45:58 no matter how old you are, no matter how young you are,
46:02 God needs you whether big or small,
46:05 God needs you.
46:08 If you all can have a moment of silent prayer,
46:10 we're gonna have a silent prayer.
46:12 And I'm gonna just end with a quiet prayer as well.
46:15 And we're gonna ask God
46:16 to use us in a mighty way.
46:19 If we can all bow our heads if we can, please?
46:34 Dear Father, we come humbly before Your throne.
46:39 You tell us, Lord, that we can come boldly
46:42 before Your throne of grace,
46:44 that You will help us in the time of need.
46:48 Lord, I've shared my story today, Dear God,
46:51 and I've seen those times when I needed You, Lord,
46:54 and I was able to call to Your throne of grace
46:59 and, Lord, You help me.
47:01 You provide it.
47:03 You encouraged me.
47:05 I didn't always do the right things.
47:07 I wasn't perfect no way, shape or form.
47:09 But, Lord, You saw my faults, and You saw my need.
47:14 And you provided.
47:16 You've always done exceedingly and abundantly
47:19 above what I asked or thought.
47:22 And I'm here today to ask You, Dear God,
47:24 that You would do the same
47:25 for everyone in this audience today.
47:29 Lord, You are a miracle worker.
47:31 God, You need a generation of soldiers
47:35 in these last days to fulfill Your mission and Your purposes.
47:39 If there's someone here today, Lord,
47:41 that is wanting to do something for You,
47:43 wanting to take a risk for Christ.
47:46 Give them the faith.
47:48 Give them the fortitude.
47:49 Give them the courage, Dear God,
47:52 and work in their behalf.
47:54 Lastly, be thank You for ASI.
47:56 For ASI has been instrumental, Lord, in my life.
47:59 And I pray this weekend, Lord, as these hours go on,
48:03 as these next two days go on
48:05 that You would work a miracle on someone's life
48:08 and that You would work out somebody's will,
48:10 give them a calling.
48:11 Show them that they are needed now.
48:15 Lord, we love You, we praise You.
48:17 And we say all these things in the precious name of Christ.
48:21 Amen.
