00:05 Hello, friends,
00:06 and welcome to Adventist Virtual Global Camp Meeting. 00:09 During this part one and part two, 00:12 we're gonna be discussing "Remnant, Mission, and Focus." 00:18 We're simply asking the question, 00:19 who are we? 00:21 What is our goal? 00:22 What is our purpose, our agenda 00:24 as Seventh-day Adventist Christians 00:26 in these last days? 00:27 My name is Ryan Day, 00:29 and I'm so excited that you're with us. 00:30 During part one and part two, we're going to be unpacking 00:33 what the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy 00:35 has to say, and refocusing our attention 00:38 on our mission as Seventh-day Adventist Christians. 00:42 And so I want to encourage you to get your PenPad, 00:44 get your pencils, 00:46 whatever it is you want to write with, 00:48 and prepare to take some notes 00:49 because during this time, 00:51 we are going to have a good time together 00:53 in unpacking and learning exactly 00:54 what the Lord has in store for us 00:56 as God's remnant movement in these last days. 00:59 Before we go any further, let's have a prayer. 01:02 Our Father in heaven, Lord, we are so thankful, 01:05 privileged and honored to be here during this time, 01:08 to live another day, Lord, that You have given to us. 01:11 To be living in these special last days, Lord, 01:13 even though there are some strange times 01:15 among us and it's a very difficult 01:17 and trying times that we're living in. 01:20 We still trust in You to see us through. 01:22 We still trust that You have a people at church 01:24 that You are using, 01:26 that You are working through to finish Your work, Lord, 01:28 and that's what we want to learn about today. 01:30 Lord, we need the Holy Spirit right now, 01:32 we're asking for Your leadership 01:33 and guidance as we open Your Word 01:35 as we rightly divide the word of truth. 01:38 We praise You, Lord, for Your never ending love, 01:40 grace and mercy. 01:41 And we ask this in Jesus' holy name. 01:43 Amen. Amen. 01:46 Does God have a people? 01:50 Indeed He does. 01:52 In these last days, we know that this people 01:54 is referred to as the remnant, God's remnant church. 02:00 And the Bible has dozens of text on the remnant, 02:04 but I'm gonna read a couple here in the beginning, 02:06 just to kind of solidify the fact that 02:08 God has a special people, 02:10 He has always had a special people, 02:12 a people that He is empowered 02:13 with the power of His Holy Spirit 02:15 to lead and guide them to do His work in these last days. 02:20 I want to take you to Romans Chapter 11. 02:23 Romans Chapter 11, where Paul is pointing us 02:25 back to a special, 02:27 special story in the Bible of Elijah, 02:30 in which he had this special encounter 02:31 with the Lord. 02:32 Elijah was a little discouraged thinking that 02:34 he was the only one, right, that the Lord was using 02:37 during this time of Great Apostasy 02:39 all throughout Israel, 02:40 but Romans Chapter 11 beginning with verse 2, 02:43 we're gonna read through to verse 5. 02:45 Notice what Paul says, He says, 02:47 "God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. 02:50 Or do you not know 02:52 what the Scripture says of Elijah, 02:53 how he pleads with God against Israel, saying, 02:56 'Lord, they have killed Your prophets 02:58 and torn down Your altars, 03:00 I alone am left, and they seek my life? 03:04 But what does the divine response say to him? 03:08 I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men 03:12 who have not bowed the knee to Baal. 03:15 Even so, at this present time," here it is, 03:18 "there is a remnant 03:21 according to the election of grace." 03:25 God, my friends, has a remnant. 03:27 Are you a part of that remnant? 03:29 Are you doing all that you can to co-labor 03:31 with the Lord 03:32 and being a part of this great last day movement 03:35 that God has raised up for the purpose 03:37 of taking the gospel to all the world? 03:40 Obviously, one of the most famous passages 03:42 in all of scripture, 03:43 where you also find mention 03:45 of this remnant is Joel Chapter 2. 03:47 Now many of us, we think of Joel Chapter 2 03:49 in reference to the great outpouring 03:51 of the Holy Spirit, 03:52 where God's gonna use His sons and His daughters. 03:54 And in fact, I want to read that right now, 03:55 but most of us stop at verse 31, 03:58 we don't read on to verse 32. 03:59 So I'm gonna go to Joel Chapter 2, 04:01 let's read verses 28 through to 32. 04:05 And we'll see exactly what the Bible says. 04:07 The Bible says there, 04:08 "And it shall come to pass afterward 04:11 that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh, 04:15 your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, 04:18 your old men shall dream dreams, 04:20 your young men shall see visions. 04:22 And also on My menservants and My maidservants 04:26 I will pour out My spirit in those days. 04:30 And I will show wonders in the heavens 04:32 and in the earth, 04:33 blood and fire and pillars of smoke. 04:35 The sun shall be turned into darkness, 04:37 and the moon into blood." 04:40 And when is all of this gonna happen? 04:41 Here it is. 04:42 "Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord." 04:47 And here is verse 32. 04:49 "And it shall come to pass that whoever calls 04:52 on the name of the Lord shall be saved. 04:54 For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem 04:57 there shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said," 05:01 there it is, "among the remnant whom the Lord calls." 05:06 Yes, there's reference to Mount Zion. 05:08 Yes, there's reference to Jerusalem. 05:09 But as we learn in scripture, 05:11 according to Galatians Chapter 3, 05:12 that we if we have accepted Christ, 05:14 if we are Christ, then we are heirs, 05:18 according to the promise, we are seeds of Abraham. 05:21 And so, my friends, 05:22 God has a remnant in these last days. 05:25 In fact, it doesn't take 05:27 a rocket scientist to figure out that 05:28 if you do a prominent, 05:30 very responsible study of God's Word, 05:32 you're gonna find prophetically God 05:34 called the Seventh-day Adventist movement in His Word, 05:39 in prophecy for such a time as this. 05:41 In these last days, it was God's intention 05:44 to raise up a last day movement 05:45 to take the gospel to the world 05:47 and to co-labor with Him and finishing His work. 05:51 In fact that prophecy I'm referring to, 05:53 many people would probably think 05:54 we're going to Revelation Chapter 10, 05:56 while that's a great chapter, 05:58 and it certainly does give some insights 05:59 and prophetic insight to the history of Adventism. 06:02 I believe that in Daniel Chapter 12, 06:05 speaking of those two timeframes, 06:07 the 1,290 days, and the 1,335 days, 06:12 if you do a responsible search and study of God's Word, 06:15 you will find that these, 06:17 especially the 1,335 days 06:19 are pertaining to the time in which God would rise up 06:23 a great movement, a last day movement 06:25 in which He would finish His work. 06:27 I want to read that now Daniel 12:11-12. 06:31 It says, "And from that time that 06:32 the daily sacrifice is taken away, 06:34 and the abomination of desolation is set up, 06:37 there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days." 06:41 But here's verse 12. 06:42 "But blessed is he who waits, and comes to 06:45 the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days." 06:51 Now the 1,290 days, the 1,335 days, 06:54 for sake of time, we're not gonna be able to go 06:56 into all of the details of this, 06:58 but if you do your historical research properly, 07:01 you'll find that that abomination of desolation, 07:04 that you know that the daily that is taken away, 07:06 it actually occurred in the year 508 AD, 07:09 when Clovis the king of the Franks 07:12 converted to Catholicism, and through this alliance 07:16 with the Franks and the Catholic Church, 07:19 the priesthood was set up as a substitution 07:23 for the mediatorial work, 07:25 the great ministering work of Jesus Christ. 07:28 Man became a substitute for Jesus Christ 07:31 Himself as God, 07:33 that was the great abomination of desolation, 508 AD. 07:37 My friends, if you count from 508 AD 07:40 1,335 years 07:44 'cause the day year principle fits there, right? 07:46 If you count 1,335 years from 508 AD, 07:50 you come to the years 1843, 1844. 07:54 What does the scripture say? 07:55 "Blessed is he who waits and comes to 07:58 the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days." 08:00 Why would there be a blessing awaiting those who come 08:02 to that time period because it was in 1843, 1844, 08:07 that God was gonna raise up a movement, 08:10 it was in His plans to have a remnant, 08:12 a people who would co-labor with Him 08:15 who would be His people to go out to all over the world 08:18 to restore the message of the sanctuary, 08:20 to restore the true gospel of Jesus Christ, 08:24 victory over sin and the grace of Jesus Christ 08:26 to the world so that everyone 08:28 could come to know 08:29 who it is really the God that we serve. 08:32 Of course, in Counsels to the Church, 08:34 page 240, I love this quote here 08:36 because it really opens our eyes 08:38 to the seriousness of this. 08:40 Counsels to the Church, page 240. 08:42 Notice what it says. 08:43 It says, "God has a distinct people, 08:46 a church on earth, second to none, 08:48 but superior to all in their facilities 08:50 to teach the truth, 08:52 to vindicate the law of God. 08:55 God has divinely appointed agencies, 08:57 men whom He is leading, who have borne the heat 09:00 and burden of the day, who are cooperating 09:02 with heavenly instrumentalities 09:04 to advance the kingdom of Christ in our world. 09:08 Let all unite with these chosen agents, 09:10 and be found at last 09:12 among those who have the patience of the saints, 09:16 who keep the commandments of God 09:18 and have the faith of Jesus." 09:21 I gotto ask you, are you a part of that remnant? 09:24 Are you a part of those numbers that have the faith of Jesus 09:28 who keep the commandments of God, 09:29 my friends, who are replicating the character of Christ, 09:32 who are preparing for the soon coming 09:35 of Jesus Christ? 09:36 I hope that that's you 09:38 because there are wonderful promises 09:39 throughout all of the Word of God 09:42 as well as the Spirit of Prophecy 09:44 that remind us that God indeed has a people. 09:48 Our focus should be, what is our mission? 09:51 For what reason has God risen up 09:55 and created this great powerful movement 09:58 for the last days? 09:59 Are we just another church system? 10:02 Or are we a movement of people, 10:04 empowered by the Holy Spirit sent out and commissioned 10:08 by God Himself to do a powerful work 10:10 in these last days? 10:11 I'm thinking of Isaiah 60:1-3. 10:15 Again, these are prophetic words, 10:17 powerful promising words that we can rely on in 10:20 knowing that God indeed has a people 10:22 and that God wins in the end, 10:24 and that if we align ourselves with Him, 10:26 He will empower us with His glorious light. 10:29 Notice what Isaiah 60:1-3 says. 10:33 It says, "Arise, shine, for your life has come! 10:38 And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. 10:40 For behold, the darkness shall overcome the earth, 10:44 and deep darkness the people, 10:46 but the Lord will arise over you, 10:49 and His glory will be seen upon you." 10:52 And then I love this last part in verse 3, 10:54 it says, "The Gentiles shall come to your light, 10:58 and the kings to the brightness of your rising." 11:03 My friends, we are living in awesome, awesome times. 11:07 It is a privilege, it is an honor. 11:10 It's a wonderful positive thing 11:11 to be a Seventh-day Adventist Christian 11:13 living in these last days. 11:16 You see, we are living in dark times, 11:17 but I believe there's even darker times 11:19 that are coming. 11:20 And what did that text just say? 11:22 It said, "For behold, the darkness 11:23 shall cover the earth, 11:25 and deep darkness the people." 11:27 Who is going to lead these people out of darkness? 11:30 Of course, we know we have no light of our own, right? 11:33 Jesus said, "I am the light of the world." 11:35 He is the genuine light, 11:37 but yet He also looks to His church. 11:39 And He points to His people, He says, 11:40 "And you are also the light of the earth. 11:42 You're the light of the world." 11:44 Why is that? Because we reflect His light. 11:47 Are you reflecting the light of Jesus today? 11:49 Are you focused in on the mission 11:52 and the reason that you are called? 11:54 My friends, it's not just some happenstance 11:56 or some coincidence that you find yourselves 11:58 a part of this powerful church movement in these last days. 12:02 We're not just some church on the corner 12:04 of some willy-nilly little street somewhere. 12:06 We are a worldwide dominant movement 12:09 that God Himself has raised up 12:11 for the purpose of completing 12:13 and finishing the work, saving souls and preparing 12:16 for the kingdom of God. 12:17 In fact, Counsels to the Church, page 345 12:20 has some powerful words of encouragement. 12:23 But notice the message here, 12:25 Counsels to the Church, page 345, 12:28 it says, "Just before us is the closing struggle 12:31 of the great controversy when, 12:33 with 'all power and signs and lying wonders, 12:36 and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness.' 12:40 Satan is to work to misrepresent 12:42 the character of God, that He may 'seduce, 12:45 if it were possible, even the elect.' 12:49 If there was ever a people 12:51 in need of constantly increasing light from heaven, 12:54 it is the people that, in this time of peril, 12:58 God has called to be 13:00 the depositaries of His holy law 13:03 and to vindicate His character before the world. 13:07 Those to whom has been committed a trust 13:09 so sacred must be spiritualized, 13:12 elevated, vitalized, 13:14 by the truths they profess to believe." 13:18 I love those words, 13:19 to vindicate the character of God. 13:22 We are sent here, we are here in such a time 13:25 as this to vindicate the name and character of God 13:29 before all of the world, 13:32 but yet I must ask you, my friends, who are you? 13:35 Who are we? Are we answering that call? 13:40 Are we responding to the call of the Lord, 13:42 as He is convicting us day in and day out 13:45 and saying that I have empowered you, 13:48 I want to empower you to co-labor with me 13:51 in taking gospel to all of the world? 13:56 I'm reminded of the text in Isaiah Chapter 58. 14:00 Yes, most of the time when we think of Isaiah 58, 14:02 we think of those latter verses 14:04 where it talks about the Sabbath being a delight, 14:07 and how we should do not our own pleasure on that day 14:09 because we should uphold and honor the Sabbath day. 14:12 We are Seventh-day Adventist Christians, right? 14:14 But yet there's a verse in Isaiah 58 that 14:17 really, really sticks out in my mind. 14:19 And it reminds me as well as it should you 14:22 that God is looking for a people 14:24 who will stand in this world at this time 14:28 on the word of the Lord, 14:30 who will stand for Him and represent Him rightfully, 14:33 who will vindicate His name 14:35 and His character before the world, 14:36 that we will live out 14:38 what it is that we profess to believe 14:40 among the world because taking the gospel, 14:42 my friends, to the world is not just simply professing 14:45 or telling a message. 14:47 You can relay a message all day long, 14:48 but do you have the light in you of Christ that 14:52 people can see a light in a dark world? 14:55 Are you that beacon of light 14:58 shining in a dark place so that others can be 15:01 led to the light of Jesus Christ? 15:04 Isaiah58:12, powerful text, notice what it says. 15:08 It says, "Those from among you shall build 15:11 the old waste places, 15:13 you shall rise up the foundations 15:16 of many generations, 15:18 and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, 15:23 the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In." 15:27 It is unfortunate, but yet it's true. 15:29 That in this world, 15:31 we are still living with an enemy, 15:32 an enemy who is doing mass deception 15:35 at every chance that he gets. 15:38 An enemy who is working hard to misrepresent the name 15:41 and the character of God before the world. 15:44 And it just so happens that 15:45 this enemy has breached the entire world. 15:49 He's breached our governments. 15:51 He has even breached in many cases, our churches, 15:55 and God is asking the question here, 15:57 are you gonna be a repairer of the breach? 15:59 I have raised you up for this purpose? 16:01 What does He say? 16:02 You shall be called the repairer of the breach. 16:04 My friends, do we have any repairers of the breach? 16:09 Are you actively involved in the mission that 16:11 God has commissioned you to do? 16:14 It's one thing to be called 16:16 a Seventh-day Adventist Christian. 16:18 It's one thing to profess 16:19 to be a Seventh-day Adventist Christian. 16:21 It's a whole another thing 16:22 when you are actively doing what God has called 16:25 a Seventh-day Adventist Christian 16:26 to do and to be. 16:29 I can tell you right now, I'm no perfect person. 16:32 I know I've never really met one, 16:33 but I know Jesus is perfect, 16:35 and Jesus can work His perfect work in us. 16:40 I just want to be a Bible Christian. 16:42 I don't know about you. 16:44 I want to follow the counsels that God has given me. 16:47 I want to be the best possible representative 16:49 that I can be for Him. 16:51 And I'm striving to be that every day. 16:53 And I want to encourage you to do the same. 16:55 During part one and part two of this presentation, 16:57 we're talking about Remnant, Mission, and Focus. 17:01 What should our focus be? 17:03 What is our mission 17:05 as Seventh-day Adventist Christians 17:07 here in these last days as I was talking about 17:11 we're being a repairer of the breach. 17:13 That's an awesome thing. 17:16 That's a wonderful, wonderful privilege for God 17:19 to call His people to be repairers of the breach. 17:21 What He's saying is, 17:22 I'm sending you like a sheep out among wolves, 17:25 but I trust that you by My power can do the work 17:29 that is needed to repair the breach of the enemy, 17:33 and to restore those foundations, 17:35 to restore those high places, 17:37 so that God's name and character 17:38 can indeed be vindicated. 17:41 Another text that comes to mind 17:42 is Ezekiel Chapter 22, 17:45 they again thinking of God's divine commission, 17:47 you know, I want you to be a repairer of the breach, 17:50 but we have a similar message here in Ezekiel 22:30. 17:53 Notice that the Bible says here. 17:55 He says, "So I sought for a man among them 17:58 who would make a wall, 18:01 and stand in the gap 18:03 before Me on behalf of the land, 18:07 that I should not destroy it, 18:09 but I found no one." 18:13 My friends, are you standing in the gap? 18:17 Are you repairing the breach? 18:20 If you are watching this right now, 18:22 and you are a professed 18:23 Seventh-day Adventist Christian, 18:26 I want to be candid with you. 18:27 I want to be transparent and clear. 18:31 Are we just church members? 18:34 Do we just have a church somewhere that we attend? 18:38 Is being a Seventh-day Adventist Christian 18:40 just like every other church out there? 18:42 Are we to just show up 18:43 once or twice a week at a service, 18:45 at a building where we stand between four walls 18:48 and sing some songs and hear a good sermon, 18:50 and then go back home to our regular lives? 18:51 Yes, we have to work. 18:53 Yes, you know, there's business as usual 18:56 just like in everyone else's life. 18:58 But nonetheless, are we call 19:00 to just be business as usual? 19:05 We are called to be repairers of the breach. 19:09 We are called to stand in the gap. 19:15 We are called to build up a wall. 19:19 Not a wall of keeping people from Christ, 19:22 but separation between the enemy, 19:25 between sin and righteousness, 19:27 the enemy and God, 19:29 the wheat and the tares, the sheep and the goat. 19:31 There's always this spiritual separation 19:34 that we see all across the Bible. 19:36 And there's gonna come a day 19:37 when God Himself is gonna draw that line of demarcation. 19:40 And He's gonna say that's it. Time is up. 19:42 There's the sheep, there's the goats, 19:44 and God will know who His true remnant church is. 19:49 We're talking about the mission, 19:51 the focus of our people, who are we in these last days? 19:54 Why? How am I called? 19:56 Why did God create me? 19:58 Why did God create you to live in such a time as this? 20:01 We're talking about the closing events, 20:04 the closing moments of earth's history. 20:08 You're here, you're alive during this time. 20:11 And the question is, who are you? 20:14 Are you a true genuine 20:16 Seventh-day Adventist Christian? 20:19 Are you just a church member? 20:23 Six volume of the Testimonies, page 295. 20:27 Well, this gets really clear now. 20:30 Notice what it says here. 20:31 "Someone must fulfill the commission of Christ, 20:36 someone must carry on the work 20:39 which He began to do on the earth, 20:44 and the church has been given this privilege. 20:48 For this purpose, it has been organized." 20:53 My friends, why does 20:56 the Seventh-day Adventist movement exist? 20:59 We just read it right there. 21:00 Six volume of the Testimonies, page 295. 21:04 Just as Christ had a mission, 21:06 when He came, just as all of the prophets 21:10 had a mission before Him 21:11 when they came during their time. 21:14 And every Christian after Christ, 21:16 and even us today, we have a mission, 21:20 we have a divine commission that 21:23 we are to finish the work that Christ was doing on this earth, 21:27 we are to carry on that work during this time. 21:32 But I'm also reminded of the beautiful promise. 21:37 That even though it seems like sometimes we might be alone, 21:41 even though sometimes we feel like, 21:43 "Man, I'm the only one here, right?" 21:45 That's what Elijah felt. 21:47 I'm the only one that cares. 21:49 Elijah felt the same way. 21:51 But God was quick to remind him, 21:53 I have 7,000 more just like you, brother. 21:56 There is a remnant, there is a people, 21:58 whom I have called, whom I have empowered 22:01 with the power of My Holy Spirit, 22:03 who have not bowed the knee to Baal, 22:06 but are taking their faith serious. 22:08 They know Me, 22:10 they have a personal relationship with Me. 22:12 And they live their lives 22:14 as if every single day is the day 22:17 that I am going to return. 22:18 Are you doing that, my friends? 22:20 Are we living our lives each and every day 22:24 as if today is the day that Jesus will return? 22:28 I love that beautiful promise 22:30 in 1 Peter 2:9, 22:34 and we're reminded that not only does God 22:38 just have a people, 22:40 but we are specifically chosen by Him. 22:45 That's what 1 Peter 2:9 reminds us of. 22:47 Notice what the Bible says here. 22:49 It says, "But you are a chosen generation, 22:54 a royal priesthood, a holy nation, 23:00 His own special people," did you hear that? 23:05 "His own special people, 23:10 that you may proclaim the praises of Him 23:13 who has called you out of darkness 23:16 into His marvelous light." 23:22 Are you His chosen people? 23:26 Are you following and obeying 23:29 the divine commission given to you? 23:32 You see, I haven't always been 23:33 raised as a Seventh-day Adventist Christian. 23:37 But even years ago when I was not 23:39 a Seventh-day Adventist Christian, 23:40 but the Lord was taking me on a journey 23:43 as I was raised in Pentecostalism, 23:46 and then from Pentecostalism, 23:47 I would go on to study 23:49 with many other different branches of Christianity, 23:51 you know, Baptist, you know, 23:52 Methodist, you know, Church of Christ, 23:54 and, you know, 23:56 several different non-denominational churches 23:58 along the way. 23:59 I found myself there was a void missing. 24:03 And there was a void there, 24:05 something was missing in my life. 24:07 I just knew, I sensed within me, 24:09 I couldn't quite put my thumb on it. 24:11 I couldn't quite point it out, 24:12 but I just sensed within me 24:15 that there was something else that 24:16 I was created to do. 24:18 There was something else that 24:20 my Creator had meant for me to be, 24:23 but yet here I am just kind of going through the motions, 24:26 just trying to fill my mind with as much knowledge 24:31 and information as I could, 24:32 but yet, I was lost. 24:37 And then there came a day 24:39 when the Lord introduced me to the message of the Sabbath. 24:44 That's right. 24:45 The message of the Sabbath 24:47 sitting on my couch at 2 o'clock in the morning, 24:50 I heard a message by Pastor Mark Finley. 24:53 I grew up in Northeastern Arkansas. 24:55 Everybody else is asleep at this time 24:57 and here in little country backwoods sticks of Arkansas. 25:01 I'm sitting on my couch at 2 o'clock in the morning. 25:04 And I'm listening to a brother pour out 25:05 his heart about 25:06 how I serve a loving Savior, a Creator, 25:11 who created me, and who has called me 25:14 to be His special people. 25:16 And He has given a sign between Him and His people. 25:22 And that's the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week, 25:25 specifically ordained and set aside as a day of rest, 25:29 Holy Communion, Holy Convocation, 25:33 in which God can be with His people. 25:35 And His people can be 25:36 with their brethren and each other. 25:39 I heard that message that night. 25:42 And that message penetrated my heart. 25:44 And I knew by listening to this one message on 25:47 just about the Sabbath day, I didn't hear anything else. 25:50 I haven't heard about the state of the dead yet. 25:52 I hadn't heard about, you know, 25:53 the Second Coming and the Rapture. 25:55 I haven't heard, you know, all of these prophecies, 25:56 the sanctuary message, and all these things. 25:58 I just heard the message of the Sabbath, 26:00 but it was at that moment, something stuck in my mind. 26:02 And I know what it was, 26:04 it was the work of the Holy Spirit that said, 26:05 "Ryan, this is where I want you, 26:08 I have a people out there, 26:09 and these people are a Sabbath keeping people. 26:12 And I come to find out that these people were known 26:14 as Seventh-day Adventists." 26:19 And from the moment I began to study 26:21 and look into Seventh-day Adventism, 26:22 I knew, Lord, I knew You had a people, 26:26 I knew You had a remnant people 26:27 who believed in keeping all the commandments, 26:30 who had the testimony of Jesus Christ, 26:32 who, again, exercise the faith of Jesus in these last days. 26:36 Of course, God's Church is not perfect. 26:39 Why is God's Church not perfect? 26:41 God's Church is not perfect, my friends, 26:42 because there's people in it. 26:45 But God is perfect. 26:47 His mission is perfect. 26:50 His Word is perfect. 26:53 His divine commission is perfect. 26:56 And the work that He does in His people 26:59 and through His people is perfect. 27:02 And so I asked you again, 27:04 as we're coming to the close of part one 27:06 'cause we have a part two, 27:07 in which we're gonna take what we've learned, 27:09 and we're gonna go a little further with this, 27:11 but I want to ask you in closing, 27:13 who are we as Seventh-day Adventist Christians? 27:17 Certainly not by coincidence or some random happenstance 27:20 do we find ourselves living in these times? 27:22 Yes, you, you watching right now, 27:25 wherever you are around the world, 27:27 you are not just a member, you're not just a speck, 27:31 you're not just a member of some multimillion member 27:35 movement or church. 27:38 God has called you, He has commissioned you 27:41 individually to vindicate His name, 27:45 and His character in this dark world. 27:50 He chose you. Think about that. 27:53 When the Creator thought of you, 27:55 He created you during this time for this purpose. 28:00 That's why it says there in 1 Peter 2:9, 28:02 "That you are a chosen generation, 28:05 a royal priesthood, a holy nation, 28:10 His own special people, 28:12 that you may proclaim the praises of Him, 28:15 you are created to proclaim the praises of Him 28:20 who has called you out of darkness 28:23 into His marvelous light." 28:26 My friends, Jesus is coming soon. 28:30 And He's coming back for a whole we church. 28:34 That's right. 28:36 And so I hope you've enjoyed this part one 28:38 'cause we have part two coming up. 28:40 We're gonna go a little deeper. 28:41 We're gonna read some more 28:43 into this remnant mission and focus. 28:47 So stay with us. 28:48 Hope you join us again for part two. 28:50 God bless you. Thank you for coming. 28:52 And we will see you back here again in a little while. |
