00:38 Hello, and welcome to Behold the Lamb Presents.
00:40 I'm Chris Shelton, your host. 00:42 I want to thank you for joining us 00:44 as usual today. 00:46 Our message today is entitled "Your Day in Court." 00:50 And it is Lesson 22 out of 25 Bible studies 00:54 that we're presenting that 00:55 go along with this Bible Study Guide that is entitled 00:58 "Sharing God's Love Makes You Happier, 01:01 What the Bible Says," 01:03 as compiled by Brother Richard Bland 01:05 of United Prison Ministries. 01:07 Truly, this series has been a blessing for so many people 01:12 as we are addressing 25 important topics 01:15 for Christians today, 01:17 of which Your Day in Court is absolutely no different. 01:22 Recently, to the recording of this message, 01:26 we were blessed to be on Long Island in the Bahamas, 01:30 and ministered at one of the churches there. 01:32 The head elder of the church 01:34 is also a police officer on the island. 01:37 And one occasion, he picked us up, 01:40 Pastor Kenny and I, in his police car 01:43 because we needed transportation to the airport 01:45 to take care of a few matters. 01:47 Pastor Kenny sat in the front seat 01:50 with the officer, 01:51 which meant I had to ride in the backseat. 01:54 I've never been in a police car period. 01:57 Nevertheless, 01:58 the backseat of a car were someone 02:01 who has broken the law is to be placed generally. 02:05 And even though I knew 02:07 that I would be released from the backseat 02:09 as soon as we got to our destination, 02:12 it was just such an ominous feeling 02:14 to be confined in a small area with no handles, 02:18 and absolutely no way of escape on my own. 02:21 It was not a comfortable position to be in, 02:25 even for just a short ride. 02:27 And in many ways, 02:28 our time on this earth is the very same. 02:32 We are here on this earth 02:33 for just a short ride as it were, 02:36 a short time in life. 02:38 We cannot escape the fact 02:40 that all of us must stand in judgment 02:42 before the courts of heaven 02:44 for our sentence to be passed 02:47 as to our destination for eternity. 02:50 And that, my friends, is indeed an ominous thought 02:54 and prayerfully a wakeup call for us all. 02:58 We literally have no way of escaping 03:00 our day in court with our Creator, 03:02 but God has given us a way of escape 03:06 from the sins of our past 03:08 if we just accept His gift and follow in His footsteps. 03:12 And, of course, that means we are to become 03:15 law abiding citizens. 03:18 But before we join, Pastor Kenny Shelton 03:20 for this very important message, 03:22 again entitled "Your Day in Court," 03:25 let's visit 3ABN 03:26 for a blessing in music by Scott Michael Bennett. 03:30 It is entitled, "Heaven is Cheap Enough." 03:35 He's coming soon 03:37 Just a little longer 03:42 Don't be impatient 03:45 Use your time wisely 03:49 Stand firm in your faith 03:52 Endure the small things 03:56 'Cause when it's over 03:59 You'll be much stronger 04:02 It's worth the effort 04:06 Oh hallelujah 04:09 Heaven is cheap enough 04:12 Oh hallelujah 04:15 It's worth the effort 04:19 Oh hallelujah 04:22 Heaven is cheap enough 04:25 Oh hallelujah 04:28 Oh hallelujah 04:41 So when the doors 04:43 Are shut in your face 04:48 Go to another 04:51 Someone is waiting 04:54 To be invited to heavens banquet 05:01 Where they can meet their 05:04 Eternal family 05:07 It's worth the effort 05:10 Oh hallelujah 05:13 Heaven is cheap enough 05:16 Oh hallelujah 05:19 'Cause it's worth the effort 05:23 Oh hallelujah 05:26 Heaven is cheap enough 05:29 Oh hallelujah 05:32 Oh hallelujah 05:48 Then up in heaven 05:51 Jesus will greet us 05:54 He'll say to each one 05:57 Well done good servant 06:00 And then we'll meet those familiar faces 06:07 We helped direct to our Precious Savior 06:13 'Cause it's worth the effort 06:17 Oh hallelujah 06:20 Heaven is cheap enough 06:23 Oh hallelujah 06:26 It's worth the effort 06:29 Oh hallelujah 06:32 Heaven is cheap enough 06:35 Oh hallelujah 06:39 Oh hallelujah 06:45 Oh hallelujah 06:52 Oh hallelujah 07:10 Thanks for joining us once again 07:11 here at Behold the Lamb. 07:13 We appreciate you so very much. 07:14 Without you, we couldn't move forward. 07:16 So we want to give God praise and honor and glory. 07:18 And thank you for tuning in, thank you for writing in, 07:21 thank you for giving calls, and thank you for your support. 07:24 We appreciate it very much. 07:25 As we try to take this message, 07:27 what, into all the world and Jesus can come. 07:29 Today, as you've already found out, 07:31 our message is going to be on the judgment, 07:33 so Your Day in Court. 07:35 And as you well know, if you have your day in court, 07:37 even in this world, and there's a court date 07:39 that's assigned to you, 07:40 you better show up, you're going to show up 07:42 or they say, they might come and get you. 07:44 So we're going to be learning about the day God's court 07:47 and how God's court is set up, 07:48 and that how all of us are involved with that. 07:51 But till we do, well, we want to take a time to pray, 07:54 and I'm going to kneel up here. 07:55 And I'd ask you to pray with me too. 07:57 We need prayer on this subject. 07:58 It's very important. 08:00 Loving Father in heaven, 08:01 thank You for the privilege of prayer, 08:03 we ask now Your Holy Spirit 08:05 will come close to each and every one of us, 08:07 open our hearts, open our minds, 08:08 open our lives. 08:10 Help us to hear Jesus, help us to realize. 08:11 This is a very, very important subject. 08:13 We need to understand it. 08:15 And we pray that we'll be ready 08:16 as the Holy Spirit speaks to us. 08:18 We thank You in Jesus' name, amen. 08:21 Again, it's always good to have a pencil 08:23 and paper and your Bible ready 08:24 'cause we study Your Day in Court. 08:26 You know, I found little something, 08:27 I jotted down, I thought was very interesting. 08:29 Talking about the judgment, just a couple of words here, 08:32 what it says? 08:33 It says, "Sinners will be condemned 08:35 in the judgment." 08:36 Notice this, because why? 08:39 Because they rejected light. 08:41 Did you get that? 08:42 Sinners will be what? 08:44 Condemned in the judgment because they rejected light. 08:49 And, of course, certain Jesus is the light of the world, 08:51 isn't it? 08:53 Your day in court. 08:54 Turn with me if you will in the Book of Psalms, 08:55 as our first verse, 08:57 we're going to look up Psalms 87:6, 09:01 Psalms 87:6. 09:03 And listen to these words carefully, 09:05 notice what it says. 09:07 It says, "The Lord shall count, 09:10 when he writeth up the people, 09:12 that this man was born there." 09:15 There's some significance in these verses. 09:17 Note this verse. 09:18 Notice, the Lord shall count when he writeth up 09:22 or when he records his people 09:25 that this man was born there or he came from. 09:29 Isn't it wonderful to know that God takes in consideration 09:32 our backgrounds? 09:33 Things that happened to us where we were born, 09:35 all these things, God takes them into account. 09:38 I'm thankful for that. What does that really mean? 09:40 What we just read? 09:41 Yeah, God considers what? 09:43 Very simply, our background. 09:45 Our background needs to be different, isn't it? 09:47 You know, the way we were born, where we were born, 09:49 money, no money and so on and so forth. 09:52 God is going to look into everybody's background 09:55 as He's making this decision. 09:57 Are we making decision for heaven? 09:59 And then He deals with us, what? 10:01 Accordingly to that. 10:03 Several years ago, there was this true story, 10:06 one of the mayors, 10:07 and I think it was New York City, 10:09 actually one of our states. 10:11 He served as judge once in a while. 10:13 He was a mayor, 10:14 but he served as judge once in a while 10:16 when it was at the police court. 10:18 And it's interesting that a man come, 10:19 they brought an older man in one day, 10:22 and they brought him before him 10:23 because he's stolen a loaf of bread. 10:27 "Why did you steal this loaf of bread?" 10:28 The whole time we got this man, we caught him stealing bread. 10:31 We brought him to this judge here. 10:34 And so he said, "Well, why is he brought? 10:36 What's happened here?" 10:37 "He stole some bread, you know where you can't have that?" 10:39 He said, "Well, let's see why. 10:41 Why did he steal this bread?" 10:43 Well, when he's asked, the man simply said, 10:45 "I stole it because my family was starving to death. 10:49 We have no money. 10:50 We have no food, and I know I shouldn't have stolen it, 10:52 but I stole it." 10:55 The mayor was sitting behind the desk 10:57 to the acting mayor or the mayor was, 10:58 and he said, 11:00 "I'm going to be your judge today." 11:02 And he said, "You know what? 11:03 You stole the bread 11:04 and I'm going to have to punish you." 11:06 That's what we do when you steal, 11:07 you do wrong, there's a punishment. 11:10 Law makes no exceptions, regardless of the conditions. 11:14 And so "I'm fining you $10." 11:19 Well, the man just stole a loaf of bread 11:20 'cause he didn't have any money. 11:23 And interesting when the judge there 11:25 or the mayor of the city said, 11:26 "I fine you $10 for stealing that loaf of bread." 11:30 And same time the mayor was reaching in his pocket, 11:33 and he's pulling out a $10 bill. 11:35 And he laid it, and gave it to the man there 11:37 and they threw it in a little hat that he had right there. 11:39 And he said, "And I pay that $10 bill, 11:42 that fine. 11:44 And so, you know, 11:45 you don't have to pay anything. 11:47 I'm going to take care for you." 11:49 And it was kind of interesting there went on 11:51 and then the mayor said this, 11:53 "Now what I'm going to do, 11:55 I'm going to fine every person that's here 11:58 in this room today 50 cents. 12:01 And they're thinking, "Hey, why am I? 12:02 Why should I? 12:04 I've not come to court for anything? 12:05 Why are you charging me 50 cents for?" 12:07 And then he said, "Well, you know what? 12:09 I'm going to charge you 50 cents for living in a town 12:12 where a man has to steal bread in order to eat." 12:16 And so he said, "Now pass the hat around, 12:18 everybody put 50 cents in there." 12:20 And time they passed the hat around, 12:22 there was $47 12:24 that was collected in this hat. 12:27 The judge or the mayor took the hat, 12:29 gave it to the old man and said, 12:31 "Here, maybe this will help you until you find some more work." 12:34 Amen. Amen. 12:35 Well, you know, 12:37 that kind of reminds you of your Heavenly Father 12:38 how He takes care of us and how wonderful that is. 12:41 You know, God then does what? 12:43 God considers a man's background. 12:46 He considers everything about him. 12:48 Your day in court, my day in court, 12:51 the day is going to come. 12:53 As we study scripture, 12:54 we realized it's going to come that we will appear 12:57 as in the heavenly court. 12:59 What does that mean to us? 13:01 When you think about, when you go to court 13:03 and the decision has been reached, 13:05 it will not be changed, not in this court. 13:08 Once the verdict is passed, 13:10 that's going to be it either innocent or guilty. 13:14 That's pretty solemn when you think about it. 13:17 Every person that's ever lived on the face of the earth 13:21 will appear in this judgment. 13:23 So it's very, very important we realize it, 13:24 so that some people say, "I don't want to appear in. 13:27 I'm not a Christian. 13:29 I don't want to be involved." 13:30 Well, that's the way that it is. 13:31 That's the way Jesus has set it up 13:33 that every person will have to stand 13:36 as it were before appear in the judgment. 13:39 Now how we know this? 13:40 Because the Bible tells us so in 2 Corinthians 5:10. 13:45 You have your Bibles. 13:46 Remember, just jot it down so we go quickly as we can. 13:48 2 Corinthians 5:10, the Bible said, 13:51 notice how it starts out, 13:53 "We must," how many? 13:55 Say somebody say, "All." 13:56 "We must all appear 13:59 before the judgment seat of Christ..." 14:02 Notice this, why are we going to appear 14:05 before the judgment seat of Christ? 14:07 Why must every person that's ever lived appear 14:09 before the judgment seat of Christ? 14:11 The Bible is very plain. 14:13 It goes on to say, 14:14 "That every one may receive the things 14:18 done in his body, 14:20 according to that which he hath," what? 14:22 "Done, whether it be good or evil." 14:27 We're going to have to give account. 14:28 Do you see account? 14:29 Everybody's going to have to give account 14:31 of things that's done 14:32 as it where, whether it be good or evil. 14:34 So the Bible makes it clear, 14:35 there is going to be a judgment, 14:36 and we're all going to be involved 14:38 in this judgment. 14:40 To me, that is such a solemn, solemn thought, 14:45 appearing for the God of the universe 14:47 that knows everything about us. 14:51 Everything in our life is open to Him. 14:55 Think about that for a minute. 14:56 Our whole life just laid out, 15:00 you know, and, you know, 15:01 like a television screen as it were. 15:03 And it's playing your life story on it 15:06 only much more than anybody knew, 15:10 only you and God. 15:12 Every word, 15:14 now you're listening, every word, every deed, 15:18 every action, notice this, 15:20 every motive of your life 15:23 and my life will be examined. 15:27 It stands to reason, it should be. 15:29 That's even in earthly court, 15:30 that's what we're supposed to do. 15:33 Before we pronounce someone guilty, 15:35 we want to do an investigative part 15:37 to see whether they're guilty or whether they're innocent 15:39 and put it all together. 15:41 Every year though God goes so deep 15:43 that He judges the motives 15:45 and He can do that of the heart. 15:48 You know, God's made it very clear, 15:49 Acts 17:31 about the judgment. 15:53 You say, well, I don't know that there's going to be one. 15:55 God says there in Acts 17:31. 15:58 He makes it very clear. 16:00 He says, "He hath..." You know this well. 16:01 "He hath appointed," what? 16:04 "A day, in which He will judge the world." 16:09 People say, "Well, there's not going to be any judgment." 16:11 You know, there's all of it. 16:12 The Bible said, "He has appointed a day 16:15 in which He will judge the world." 16:17 He's telling us right then and there. 16:18 He set it up beforehand, there will come a time, 16:21 and Bible prophecy reveals that time 16:23 that there would be exact day as it were 16:25 that the judgment began in heaven. 16:28 We've been in an awful long time 16:29 and the world does not understand that at all. 16:32 How sad it is. 16:34 It's like maybe they don't even care a day, 16:38 a judgment, 16:39 and it must take place before Jesus comes. 16:44 Does that make sense? 16:46 A judgment takes place before Jesus comes, why? 16:48 The Bible is very clear 16:50 in the Book of Revelation 22:12, 16:53 reveals as Jesus comes back the second time, 16:56 therefore He comes back. 16:58 Notice this, 16:59 "He's going to bring His," what? 17:01 "His reward with Him." 17:02 Notice that, 17:04 the Bible says there, Revelation 22:12, 17:06 "To give every man 17:08 according as His works shall be." 17:12 So there's going to be a judgment 17:13 take place in heaven, isn't there? 17:16 And every person's name is going to come up in there. 17:18 And I tell you this, 17:20 unless Jesus is there to plead your case, 17:22 you don't have a chance. 17:24 You don't have a shot. 17:25 Can I say that? 17:27 Heaven's not going to be your home. 17:30 Jesus has to stand in my place, in your place 17:33 because you are not worthy and I'm not worthy, 17:36 we're worthy of death. 17:38 Bible is very clear on that. We need Jesus. 17:41 And that's why we want to give Jesus to others 17:42 and offer Jesus to others, isn't it? 17:45 We need to do that today certainly. 17:48 Now we do know from Bible prophecy 17:50 as you study the Word of God 17:52 that the judgment has already begun. 17:55 Now remember, this is not the subject of this. 17:57 If it were, we'd be going a little different route 17:59 right now, 18:00 we'd be studying the prophecy of Daniel 8:14, 18:04 which says, "2300 days or years, 18:07 then shall the," what? 18:08 "Sanctuary be cleansed." 18:11 Remember, God has appointed a day 18:12 in which He will judge the world. 18:14 Daniel 8:14 goes into and then Daniel 9 18:16 goes into there's a time frame 18:18 just shows that the time frame right up time 18:21 to when the judgment hour begins. 18:24 Wow! 18:26 See God wants us to know 18:28 that this is very serious business 18:30 because your name, 18:32 see, your names coming up, 18:34 and it's been started a long time ago. 18:37 We can figure out what, 160-170 years ago it began, 18:43 And can establish that in another study for sure. 18:45 There's a judgment, 18:47 we're going to be involved in it. 18:49 As I said before, 18:50 whether we like it or whether we not, 18:51 we didn't like it. 18:53 Let me just put 18:54 maybe this in a nutshell for us. 18:56 Again, there's a little food for thought, 18:57 when you say, "Well, that's an awful lot of stuff 18:58 to try to swallow." 19:01 We realize that the judgment would begin 19:04 would be after the time of the Daniel 7 19:09 with the papal church. 19:11 It said, you know, 1,260 years, you remember that, 19:14 Bible prophecy starting at 538 to 1798, 19:18 there's 1260 years. 19:20 So we see that time period. 19:22 So we know that the judgment hour 19:24 had to begin after what? 19:26 After 1798 19:29 because it says, 1798, that's 1200, imagine, 19:32 1,260 years of the papal church supremacy, 19:35 the little horn power of Daniel 7. 19:38 So a lot of studies involved 19:39 and we can't spend that much time on it 19:41 right at this point. 19:42 But when it gets down to the 1844, 19:44 the judgment hour began. 19:47 The Bible says this is the date for the beginning of this work, 19:51 which we call the cleansing of what? 19:54 Of the sanctuary, 19:55 where we're cleansing heavenly sanctuary 19:57 and that simply begins with the examination, 20:00 notice, of the records of sinful man. 20:04 It's just an examination. 20:07 It's going over the life, why? 20:08 Because millions say, "I am a professed Christian." 20:11 You ever know, so you see that word 20:13 a lot of times that professed Christians. 20:15 That doesn't mean you really are, 20:17 you may be fooling somebody. 20:19 We profess, that means that I'm saying I'm a Christian, 20:22 but when you look at your life, it tells whether you are 20:24 or whether you are not a Christian. 20:26 Are you willing to follow Jesus where He leads 20:28 or you're not going to follow Jesus? 20:30 You're going to make up your own rules 20:31 or you going to follow the ones that God has laid out for us? 20:35 And most people, sad to say, according to scripture, 20:38 going to follow their own little thinking 20:40 and their own little way of doing things 20:42 because they like their lifestyle, 20:43 they like what they're doing, 20:45 they like their life, 20:46 they like and love the world rather than the things of God. 20:50 And they're just not willing to give anything up 20:51 but at the same time knowing they should, 20:53 at same time saying, "I love Jesus, 20:55 and I'm going to go to heaven." 20:57 We're not willing to do what He says, 21:00 heaven's not going to be our home, 21:01 we know that. 21:02 Let's get that straight in our mind. 21:05 What does it start with? 21:06 It says, okay, 21:07 so we begin to examination of the records of sinful man. 21:10 Where does that begin? 21:12 In our study like, 21:13 where does this really begin? 21:14 Where does it start with? 21:16 Bible says in 1 Peter 4:17, 21:19 1 Peter 4:17. 21:24 Here's what the Bible says... 21:25 So the judgment we say, okay, begins and begins in 1844. 21:30 Then where does it begin? 21:31 The Bible says that "Judgment must begin," where? 21:35 "At the house of God." 21:36 He even tells us when it begins, 21:38 and He tells who it begins with. 21:40 That makes it easy. 21:42 It begins at the house of God 21:43 or from the beginning of those who profess to be Christians. 21:48 Now, who were the first that profess to be Christians? 21:52 His people but where? How far? 21:54 Remember, we're going back to the very beginning, 21:56 it goes back. 21:57 In other words, He said judgment begins at My house, 22:00 those who profess me. 22:01 So I'm going all the way back to Adam and Eve. 22:04 Wow! 22:05 That's going back to the beginning, 22:07 Adam and Eve. 22:09 And then it goes on 22:10 until the very last name is called... 22:15 Think about it. Begins with those, right? 22:17 Professed, righteous say, 22:19 well, we press Christian or do you want to start here. 22:22 And then after that it get finished with the dead, 22:24 then it goes over to what? 22:26 The judgment of the living. 22:28 Now think about that, 22:30 how we govern living that means what? 22:31 While you're prancing around 22:33 and I'm prancing around down here 22:34 doing our own little thing, sometime, 22:36 our name may come up in the heavenly courts. 22:40 And while we're out fiddling around, 22:42 diddling around, 22:43 doing things we shouldn't be doing, 22:45 knowing better that but we're still doing any way 22:47 that our name comes up before God of the universe. 22:50 How solemn that is? 22:52 That God has sent warning after warning, 22:54 an invitation after invitation to come to Him 22:57 because we are in this hour 22:58 and it's a time to forsake and gain victory over sin, 23:01 so that we can be ready to meet Him 23:03 when He comes in the clouds of glory. 23:05 What a wonderful God you serve! How wonderful! 23:08 He's laid this out so clear that we can't miss it 23:11 so that we can be ready to meet Jesus. 23:13 Oh, that's so beautiful when you think about it. 23:16 The judgment hour is simply 23:18 an investigative judgment warning. 23:22 Get ready! Get ready! 23:24 It's to be given to the world that we... 23:26 We read that in scripture. 23:27 Remember, the judgment hour? 23:29 Where's the judgment hour found in the Bible 23:31 as far as the Book of Revelation? 23:33 Revelation... Come on, somebody. 23:34 Revelation 14, verses, what? 23:36 6 and 7, beginning with the what? 23:38 The first angel's message, you remember that? 23:41 The first angel. Remember that? 23:43 Some of you haven't read that in a while I assume, 23:45 I'm going to turn here my Bible right now, 23:47 we can't stand this. 23:49 So okay, say it that way. 23:51 All right, I just said it anyway. 23:53 Revelation 14. 23:54 Listen, 23:55 we are people who believe in giving the three angels' 23:57 message to the world 23:59 but most of the time we don't even know 24:01 what is about. 24:02 We can't even find them. 24:04 We can't quote it. 24:05 We're talking about this is life and death issue. 24:07 We're talking about when your name comes up, 24:09 when your name is called, it's heaven or hell. 24:14 It can't be any more simple than that. 24:17 So we have to be ready 24:18 because again we're going to be marching around down here 24:20 just doing our own thing, going to work 24:22 when sentence is already pronounced in heaven 24:26 because it says, "I bring my," what? 24:28 Come on Revelation 22, "My reward with me." 24:30 It's already settled. 24:33 Man, that's serious business! Just like it was. 24:36 What proof would we have of that? 24:38 How about the ark? When did probation close? 24:42 Seven days before it began to rain, 24:44 heaven already settled and closed it 24:46 before they close that door of the ark. 24:49 That mean, probation is closed, not another person got in. 24:52 Man, over and over you can see that in scripture. 24:55 Revelation 14:6 and 7, the Bible said, 24:58 "I saw another angel do," what? 25:01 "Flying in the midst of heaven having the everlasting gospel," 25:05 and what's this gospel doing? 25:06 "Preach to them that dwell on the earth, 25:08 and to every nation, 25:10 kindred, tongue and people." 25:11 I am assured that the three angels' 25:13 message will go to all the world 25:15 because Jesus said so. 25:17 Every now... 25:19 Now what's going to all the world? 25:20 Most people don't even know three angels' message exists. 25:23 They call themselves, they go to church, 25:24 they say we study the Word of God, 25:26 but I'm telling you, my brother and sister, 25:27 I'm not trying to whip anybody, 25:29 I'm not trying to make somebody angry at me 25:31 but I'm saying, 25:32 this is a spiritual frustration if you let me say it. 25:37 That this is life and death. 25:39 The three angels' message in the last day, 25:41 God said, "I will raise a people 25:45 that will give this message to the world 25:47 out be their testing truth, 25:48 they'll accept it and make it to heaven 25:50 or they'll reject it and be lost." 25:53 But somehow we forget. 25:55 We don't know it. 25:58 It said, every nation, kindred, 26:00 tongue and people and what does He say, 26:01 "The angel said with a loud," what? 26:03 "With a loud voice, 26:04 'Fear God and give glory to Him 26:08 for the hour of His judgment is come.' 26:10 " An hour of His judgment has come. 26:12 Remember, what are we talking about? 26:14 We're talking about the judgment. 26:15 God said those who believe in the three angels' message, 26:17 one of their message is going to be so powerful. 26:19 It's going to be like a voice from heaven. 26:21 They're going to be saying, 26:22 "We're living in the judgment hour." 26:24 We're living in the judgment hour right now your names, 26:26 right it starts in the house of God first, 26:28 and then it goes right on 26:30 over to the last name has been called. 26:31 And somewhere along there, your name is going to come up. 26:35 And that's going to be it because God knows everything. 26:39 What you're going to do later on 26:40 and everything else in life, 26:41 so when your name comes up, He knows full well. 26:44 What an awesome thought that is. 26:47 But listen, if you're not giving 26:49 the three angels' message to the world, 26:51 "Oh, I've just got to say it. 26:53 I've just got say." 26:54 You cannot be God's remnant church. 26:59 Don't leave it at that. 27:00 No, you can't be 27:02 because that's what he says here. 27:03 I'm not just trying to make something and trying to say, 27:05 "Oh, it's worth" this is what He said, 27:07 His last day church is going to be claiming, 27:10 we're in the judgment hour. 27:12 How many churches are proclaiming that 27:14 in the world today? 27:17 They're just not, yeah, one, basically one. 27:21 The judgment hour, notice that. 27:24 And then it says, "Worship Him that made heaven and earth," 27:27 you notice that, "and the sea and the fountains of water." 27:30 So this last day remnant church will be praying 27:32 in the judgment hour, 27:34 and they'll be saying, "Look, church, 27:35 go back to the beginning of creation 27:38 because we have demolished the seventh-day Sabbath." 27:41 The world has they've got a counterfeit in its place. 27:44 And this last day church is going to be raising up, 27:46 Isaiah 58, right? 27:48 They'll be raising up the seventh-day Sabbath again. 27:53 Remember, that's God's day. 27:56 There's something about that, isn't that? 27:57 Seventh-day Sabbath is God's day. 28:00 It's not any other day. 28:01 It's a day that He has made for us to worship with. 28:04 Oh, it's how wonderful that is. 28:06 It says, "Call the attention of the world. 28:08 It'll go worldwide of the seventh-day Sabbath. 28:11 Go back." 28:13 Yes, and you can't even worship the same God 28:14 that I'm worshipping. 28:15 If you don't worship Him as creator of heaven and earth, 28:18 I'm just going to lay it out. 28:21 You have to do it that way because he said, 28:23 worship the one who made heaven and earth and the sea. 28:25 And if you don't worship the one 28:27 who does the seventh-day Sabbath, 28:28 you're not worshiping the same God 28:29 that I'm worshipping. 28:31 That's just the way it reads to me. 28:32 I know it's difficult but we're in the judgment hour. 28:35 You want somebody pitter-patter around with you, 28:38 you know, 28:40 better to get a swat wake up a little bit 28:42 and say okay, now come on. 28:44 This is the judgment hour, 28:46 we can't be fooling around this way. 28:48 We're going to have to give account of ourselves to God, 28:51 every word, every day. 28:52 Think about if every word was scrutinized 28:55 by this church today, 28:56 every thought that you've had this week, 28:58 every act that you commit 28:59 is put on the screen right here, 29:01 how many would show up today? 29:03 We'd have an empty, probably zero church. 29:07 That's a judgment on my part 29:09 if you just allow me to do that. 29:12 I don't think, I'd show up. 29:15 Anybody else here? 29:16 Come on, somebody want to jump in here with me? 29:19 Really, that's what has to be. 29:20 If you really just think, 29:22 then it may not be anything you say, 29:23 "Oh, it's so horrible." 29:25 But is it Christ like, 29:26 is every reaction you had and every action is like Jesus, 29:28 or we've been a little impatient, 29:30 said something wish we hadn't said, 29:31 "Absolutely, God have mercy." 29:34 I realize I'm in the judgment. 29:37 I realize I need to make those things. 29:38 I've got to get them right. 29:41 I've got to get them right. 29:42 It's so, so important. 29:44 We have accountability, 29:46 my brothers and sisters, to God. 29:49 You know where it says that in scripture? 29:50 In Romans 14:12, Romans 14:12, quickly, time is really going. 29:55 Romans 14:12, notice this, 29:58 it talks about giving accountability to God. 30:00 It says, "So then every one of us," 30:02 Romans 14:12, "shall give," what? 30:06 "An account of himself to," whom? 30:09 "To God." 30:11 Did you get it? 30:12 No one is going to get out of this. 30:15 Every one of us, Roman's talking about, 30:17 Paul's writings, saying, 30:19 we're going to have to give account 30:20 of ourselves to God. 30:24 The wise man, later on, 30:27 Solomon, you remember, you know what he said, 30:29 you know what your duty is, Kenny? 30:31 I'm glad he said it like that. 30:33 Don't here by come up later and say, 30:34 "Well, that's not written in the Bible. 30:35 Your name's not in the Bible." 30:37 I see it in there, whether you see it or not, 30:40 don't you? 30:42 See, we have to see our name 30:43 because it's written to us. 30:45 And he's saying, "Kenny, do you know 30:47 what your whole duty is?" 30:48 Let's just read it, shall we? 30:50 Ecclesiastes, you know it well, 12:13, 14. 30:54 Ecclesiastes Chapter what? 30:56 12:13, 14. 30:58 This reveals so clear 31:00 what the whole duty of man is. 31:04 And it says, "Let's hear the conclusion 31:05 of the whole matter is," what? 31:08 "Fear God, and," do what? 31:10 "Keep his..." 31:12 Good, here's the whole duty. 31:14 You say, "No, my duty is to do this. 31:15 And my duty is to go over here. 31:17 And my duty's to be with my friends. 31:18 My duty is to do this." 31:20 Your whole duty, the Bible said, is to fear God 31:22 and to keep His commandments. 31:24 You know, three angels' message starts out, 31:26 you know, talking about there, is talking about, 31:28 "Fear God and give glory to Him." 31:31 Have a little reverence and respect for God 31:33 that He is God. 31:35 Ain't that right? He is God. 31:37 And who are we to set our self up 31:39 in the place of God and change everything 31:42 that's in here to fit our lifestyle. 31:44 "Fear God, give glory to Him." 31:47 Here's my whole duty is to fear God 31:49 and to keep His commandments. 31:51 They'll not be commandment breakers in the kingdom. 31:53 That's an impossibility. 31:56 Yeah, they just cannot be because the Bible says so. 31:58 Here's my whole duty. 32:00 "Keep the commandments, 32:01 for this is the whole duty of man." 32:03 "Well, no, I've got some more duty over here." 32:05 No, the Bible says come on, 32:07 the Bible said, "No, this is the whole duty." 32:09 I looked at that word, 32:11 I thought very interesting in the Hebrew. 32:12 It says, "The whole duty of man means a complete duty of man." 32:16 It means all of the duty to man. 32:18 It means everything that can be. 32:21 It means that which matters, that means that which is, 32:23 it say, "This is your business. 32:26 This is your counsel." 32:28 You can't get past this argument here 32:30 in scripture." 32:31 Verse 14 said, 32:33 "For God shall bring every work," where? 32:36 "Into judgment, and every secret thing, 32:39 whether it be," what? 32:41 "Whether it be good or," what? "Evil." 32:43 What the Bible says, 32:44 God's going to bring, what? 32:48 Everything's going to be viewed, right? 32:51 Oh, think about, every little secret thing. 32:53 Shouldn't we be just a little bit embarrassed? 32:56 Huh? 32:58 Sure, we'll be embarrassed just like we'd be embarrassed 33:00 if every thought, action, and deed was printed on a page, 33:04 appear on the screen for us to see today. 33:06 Where can this judgment be found? 33:08 I'm talking about a judgment, 33:09 where it can be found quickly in scripture. 33:11 Come with me to the Book of Daniel. 33:14 Book of Daniel, all, you can just read it here. 33:15 You know what's taking place. 33:17 Or is it just to me, 33:19 it's just heavy, heavy, heavy duty. 33:21 See if I can find book of... 33:23 That's what? Daniel Chapter 7, isn't it? 33:25 Thank you, Daniel Chapter 7, 33:27 we're going to read verses 9-11. 33:29 Daniel Chapter what? Seven. 33:31 We're going to read verses 9-11. 33:34 Notice what the Bible said, 33:35 listen, "This is the judgment that we're talking about. 33:37 It's talking about God Almighty coming together. 33:40 It's talking about Jesus Christ coming together. 33:43 It's talking about the angels of heaven coming together. 33:45 It's talking about the elders of the church coming together 33:48 and setting up their thrones for judgment. 33:51 Wow. 33:53 Bible said, Daniel said, 33:54 "I was in vision and what did I see?" 33:56 Daniel 7:9, "I beheld till the thrones were," what? 33:59 "Cast down, the Ancient of Days did sit," 34:01 you know who the Ancient of Days, don't you? 34:03 Sure, it's God. 34:04 "Whose garment was white as snow, 34:06 hair was like pure wool: 34:07 His throne was like the fiery flame, 34:09 and His wheels as burning fire." 34:11 Notice this. A fiery stream. 34:13 Listen, this is powerful. 34:16 This is nothing to monkey with us. 34:17 This is nothing to say, "I'm going against God." 34:19 Nothing to say, "I could stand up against God, 34:21 I can do what I want to do." 34:23 There's going to be a punishment. 34:24 You can say it if you want to, but then the end result 34:26 is not going to come across very good for you 34:28 or me either. 34:30 We've never seen anything 34:32 that the Bible is describing like this. 34:34 We try to dig a hole and get underneath it. 34:36 You know what I mean. 34:37 We couldn't stand the sight, we'd be struck dead 34:40 in the condition that we are. 34:41 But notice what it says here, the Bible said. 34:43 Now notice, we're talking about a court here. 34:48 We're talking about people coming together, 34:50 heaven coming together 34:51 because it said, notice, 34:53 "A fiery stream issued came forth before Him, 34:55 thousands and thousands ministered unto Him 34:58 and then it broadens it, 34:59 ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him." 35:02 Notice. 35:04 Come on say it. 35:05 "The judgment was set 35:08 and the books were opened." 35:10 Here's the courtroom. 35:11 What do you do? 35:13 You get the courtroom all set up in there. 35:14 Ain't that right? 35:15 You've been to an earthly court, you get to, 35:17 court rooms all set up, everybody's in place, 35:18 all the judges or all the lawyers out there, 35:21 and then here comes the judge. 35:23 Here come the judge, right? 35:25 He comes up out of there. 35:26 All right, here comes the judge. 35:28 He comes in, right? 35:30 And he sits down in his seat. 35:31 As soon as he's sitting down, he said, "Let's commence." 35:34 God comes in, He said, "Let's get started here." 35:37 Everybody's in 35:39 or the whole universe is involved. 35:40 Why? 35:42 Because Kenny's name's coming up, 35:43 Mary's name's coming up, 35:44 John's name's coming up. 35:46 Brother Levy, your name. 35:49 Man, this is awesome when you think 35:50 about the names that are coming up." 35:53 Quickly, let's look at those four points we just read. 35:55 We could read more. 35:57 We won't do it 'cause of our time. 35:58 But Daniel 7:9-11, 35:59 and then also read when you can verse 13 36:02 because it talks about God there. 36:04 Read it. Four points. 36:05 Notice what it tells us. 36:06 Daniel said, "I saw thrones cast down." 36:09 Have you ever wondered about that? 36:12 You know what that means? 36:13 Daniel said, "I saw thrones cast down." 36:15 Sound like you're taking them and you're casting them out. 36:17 He said, "I saw thrones," in the original language, 36:20 "I saw them placed." 36:23 Come on. I saw them placed. 36:26 I saw them arranged. 36:29 There's whole different meaning, isn't it? 36:31 Because there's a court system here. 36:34 Something's going on, we need to know. 36:38 And now let me ask you, where is God's throne? 36:41 In other words, all these other thrones are all being set up, 36:45 but where's God's throne? 36:46 You know what the Bible says right here in Psalms 103:19, 36:50 Psalms 103:19. 36:51 It simply tells us that God's throne is in heaven. 36:54 Come on somebody. 36:55 It's in heaven right here. 36:58 So the other thrones were put or positioned. 37:02 Listen, put or positioned around God's throne. 37:04 Why? Because He's the center. 37:07 He's the king of the universe. 37:10 He didn't have to go somewhere else, 37:11 He comes and He sits, 37:12 and everybody else comes and positions their thrones 37:15 as it were around Him. 37:17 Wow, that talks of His power, doesn't it? 37:21 His might. And His... 37:22 Oh, it's all for good. 37:23 Point number two, 37:25 we're looking at four points here. 37:26 In the judgment, 37:27 Daniel said, "I saw thrones, I saw them all placed around." 37:29 Number two. 37:31 It's plainly pointed out, God is what? 37:34 God is the judge because it said, 37:36 "Here come the Ancient of Days." 37:38 Is there any other Ancient of Days that you know of? 37:42 There's only one God that's what the Bible tells us. 37:46 The Ancient of Days come in, 37:47 so He's going to be sitting there. 37:48 Notice that, verse 13. 37:51 Third point, the Bible says, we just read, 37:53 "Ten thousand times ten thousands of thousands 37:57 stood before Him." 37:58 Remember these are angels, these are elders. 38:02 Read Revelation 5:11, 38:04 when you have the opportunity to do it. 38:06 Point number four is Jesus. Whoo! 38:08 Here it comes now, Jesus comes in. 38:11 But the court's all set, ain't that right? 38:13 They're all centered around God, 38:14 who is sitting on the throne, and then here walks in Jesus. 38:19 There can be nothing going on in that courtroom 38:21 unless Jesus comes in. 38:23 Does that make sense? 38:26 'Cause He's everything in that court. 38:29 There can be no one saved without Jesus being there. 38:33 How wonderful that is, what good news. 38:35 Jesus comes in, and He comes in as my... 38:38 Somebody praise. He comes in as my advocate. 38:41 Man, He's coming in as my intercessor. 38:43 He's coming in as the one, my comforter, 38:46 He's coming in as my counselor, He's coming in as my lawyer, 38:50 He's coming in to talk for me 38:52 'cause I can't do it 'cause I won't be there, 38:54 somebody has to stand in my place, and He said, 38:57 "I've been grading your little palms in my hand. 38:59 Here you are." 39:00 This is it right here. 39:01 Your name is there. Nobody can take it out. 39:04 I paid the price for you. 39:06 You couldn't pay it for yourself. 39:07 We were totally lost, messed up. 39:11 Oh, how many long? 39:13 "And I'm the one, Kenny, that's going to stand 39:14 in your place. 39:16 Just ask me to do it." I love that. 39:17 "Just ask me to do it." 39:19 Why won't people ask Him to stand in your place, 39:21 you can't stand in your own place. 39:25 I talked to people. It hurts. 39:29 It's as if like they don't care 39:32 whether He stands in their place or not. 39:33 It's like they've got a chance. 39:35 They're Mr. Goody 39:36 or they live in a pretty good life, 39:38 and they're just all going to make it. 39:39 They don't understand. 39:42 They don't understand prophecies like this 39:44 that we need to look at. 39:45 Daniel said, "I saw this in vision. 39:47 I know there's a judgment. 39:48 And I know God's sitting there." 39:50 And in walks Jesus. 39:52 Hallelujah. 39:54 Why do I know? The Bible said. 39:56 It's only used one time as Jesus being my advocate 39:58 in 1 John 2:1, 40:02 1 John 2:1, the Bible said, 40:05 "We have an advocate with the Father, 40:09 and it's Jesus Christ the righteous." 40:12 Don't you like that it's Jesus Christ, 40:14 the righteous. 40:16 He lived that righteous life because I failed so miserably, 40:19 and I need someone, right? 40:21 I need Him. I need His victory. 40:23 I'm not going to make it without His victory. 40:25 And so when my name is called, what's happening? 40:29 Jesus stands in my place, 40:30 and Father looks at Him and says, 40:33 "It's good. It's good." 40:34 'Cause He's looking at His Son. 40:36 But I have to accept Him as my Lord and say, 40:38 I have to be willing to follow Him 40:39 wherever He leads. 40:40 It may be a change of this, it may be a change of that. 40:43 But that's what it's all about in the Christian walk, 40:46 is it not? 40:47 Changes that we need to make. But you know what? 40:49 Because of selfishness, and pride, 40:51 and love of self, and love of what we're doing, 40:53 we're not willing to change 40:55 and be what Jesus wants us to be. 40:56 My lands of love, 40:58 shouldn't it be time that we get on our knees and crawl, 41:00 so God have mercy on my soul. 41:02 I'm a sinner. 41:03 And I'm always saved by grace alone, 41:05 and God, somebody help me. 41:07 And Jesus come and help me. 41:08 Jesus said, "I'm going to help you." 41:11 And after all of that, then comes in, 41:13 Jesus comes in and then all of a sudden, 41:14 we read while ago, the Bible said in Daniel 7:10, 41:18 it said that, "The judgment was set 41:20 and the books were open." 41:22 Man, my, my. 41:23 Here's three sources, I'm going quickly. 41:25 Three sources of testimony 41:27 that's going to be used in the judgment. 41:29 Are you there, church? 41:30 Three sources of testimony that's going to be used, 41:33 and it's going to be a plus for you 41:35 or it's going to be a minus for you or me. 41:38 Interesting. Notice what... 41:39 Number one, what we just talked about a little bit here. 41:42 Source number one, 41:44 God's knowledge of all things. 41:47 Does He know everything? 41:49 Absolutely. Just one simple... 41:51 Proverbs 15:13, 41:54 Proverbs 15:13, makes this. 41:58 Notice, it says, 41:59 "The eyes of the Lord are in every place, 42:03 beholding the evil, and the good." 42:06 What does it say? God's knowledge. 42:10 So God has a knowledge of everything that's going on, 42:12 and that's going to be used in the judgment. 42:14 He does not make mistakes. 42:17 Second, witness, 42:19 I want to call it testimony used, 42:22 is taken from things that are written in a book. 42:27 Did you notice the things that are written in a book 42:29 that our life is written in a book as it were. 42:32 Think for a moment. 42:34 How do I know that? How do you know that? 42:36 Bible says Revelation 20:12, 42:40 Revelation 20:12, 42:43 it says, "The dead were judged," what? 42:46 "Out of those things 42:47 which were written in the books, 42:49 according to their works." 42:51 That word right there, according to their works means 42:53 according to their acts. 42:56 The things that they did, the things that they are doing, 42:59 their labor, their work, 43:01 everything is written in a book. 43:04 And, boy, I tell you how wonderful that is because, 43:06 you know, who's writing this in the book, 43:08 they don't make mistakes 43:09 like they make here in this world. 43:13 I'll give you an example of the book. 43:14 We're talking about the Bible in Revelation 21:27, 43:18 Revelation 21:27. 43:19 I know I'm hurrying, I know it, I know it. 43:22 'Cause there's so much good stuff here. 43:23 Man, I feel like eating all day on it. 43:25 I think we need more time. 43:26 You see rather than saying 43:28 next day you talked about Sabbath as a fast day, 43:29 we're not going to fast today, 43:30 we're going to eat today, 43:32 we're going to eat from the Word of God 43:33 because it says Revelation 21:27, 43:35 it mentions the, "Lamb's book of life." 43:38 So I've often said there, 43:39 unless your name is written in the Lamb's book of life, 43:41 my brothers and sisters, you'll never make it. 43:43 I will never make it 43:45 until I submit my life to Jesus Christ. 43:47 It's more than just submitting, it's submitting, 43:49 and then willing to follow, 43:51 walk as He walked is what the Bible said. 43:53 If you're not willing to do that, 43:55 you're none of His, you're a professor, 43:56 you're professing to be something that you are not, 43:59 you're fraud. 44:01 I'm a fraud if I say I'm a Christian, 44:02 and I'm not willing to make the changes 44:04 that God points out in the Word. 44:07 I realized a lot of people don't know 44:08 what I'm talking about, 44:09 but there's other people who do. 44:13 Things that are written in a book, the Bible said. 44:17 Wasn't that Paul that wrote about that too? 44:19 Paul wrote about it. 44:20 I think it was if... 44:21 Jesus talked about it in Philippians 4:3, 44:24 He said, "My fellow laborers 44:26 whose names are written in the Book of Life." 44:29 See, these are things. 44:30 We do line upon line, precept upon precept, 44:32 and you got it. 44:33 You don't isolate a scripture like some preachers do, 44:34 and they get up here, 44:36 and they read one passage of scripture, 44:37 and they make a whole sermon on it, 44:39 they go out in the north, 44:40 and they go out in the south, east, and west. 44:41 They don't know where they're at 44:43 when they get done. 44:44 That's not the way. 44:45 I'm not trying to make fun of them 44:47 or because the Bible said, line upon line, 44:48 precept upon precept, 44:49 here a little and there a little. 44:51 So we're looking here. 44:52 And Paul says, "I've got my lands, 44:54 I've got my fellow laborers here. 44:55 Your names are written in the Lamb's book of life." 44:57 Apostle John was writing, he said, "Book of life." 45:00 Where's your name written? 45:02 Remember, we're talking about here, 45:04 the names when they come up are either going to be... 45:07 Listen, if you professed it one time, I professed. 45:11 Your name's written in the Lamb's book of life. 45:13 And it's there until the test comes. 45:16 And when the test comes and your name comes up, 45:19 the name is either going to be retained 45:21 or it's going to be removed. 45:22 Did you get it? 45:24 Well, I was baptized once, 45:26 well, I joined the church one time 20 years ago. 45:27 What have you been doing now? 45:29 Well, I haven't been doing anything. 45:30 Now you're in trouble. 45:31 Is it okay? I think, we need to... 45:34 We got to think 'cause time's too short. 45:36 Time's too short to dilly-dally around with it. 45:40 Or remember, it's going to be... 45:42 This is a blotting out period of time. 45:45 Our sins have been covered by the blood of the Lamb, 45:49 and the cleansing of the sanctuary 45:50 when our names come up again, right? 45:52 There's a time of blotting out. 45:54 He said, "I'll remember no more. 45:55 I'm going to make sure they're gone forever." 45:57 But remember, if we're not living the life 45:59 and following Jesus Christ or living up the light 46:01 that we know our names will be blotted out. 46:04 Oh! 46:06 You want me to read something on it. 46:07 Okay, so I'll do that. 46:08 Revelation 3:5, here's some good news. 46:12 Brother Mark, we like good news. 46:13 Good news. 46:14 Somebody won't shout with me, go ahead. 46:16 Revelation 3:5. 46:17 The Bible says, 46:19 "The overcomer's name 46:20 will not be blotted out of the book." 46:23 Get it? The what? 46:25 The overcomer's name will not be blotted out. 46:28 If you're an overcomer by the blood of Jesus Christ, 46:31 your name is not going to be blotted out, 46:32 you don't have to worry. 46:34 But then the Bible goes on and says something else. 46:36 Revelation 22:19. 46:40 Here's some bad news. 46:43 Tells us, "God shall take away his part 46:46 out of the book of life." 46:48 Did you get it? 46:49 If we're not living up the light that we have, 46:51 living the life of Christ, 46:52 our names are going to be removed out of the book of. 46:55 God's going to do it. God doesn't make mistakes. 46:59 There's a book of remembrance. 47:01 Malachi 3:16. 47:02 Quickly moving on. 47:04 What is the book of remembrance? 47:05 It's simply a book of all the good deeds. 47:07 The deeds that you've done, the kind words that you spoken, 47:10 the way you've helped people, 47:12 and did things for other people. 47:13 All of those things are not just going out into the air, 47:16 they're written in the book. 47:18 How wonderful, and that's going to help 47:19 as you say in the judgment. 47:21 Because that shows that you love Jesus 47:22 and have Jesus in your heart, 47:24 those who love Jesus. 47:26 Third source of testimony is the angels 47:28 who keep the records. 47:30 Think about it, Ecclesiastes 5:6 says this. 47:34 This is very important. 47:35 "Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin. 47:39 Neither say thou before the angel, 47:42 that it was an error." 47:45 Somebody get it? 47:47 No. 47:48 The angels are recording, it says, 47:49 don't say to the angel 47:52 that you've erred. 47:53 When they're writing things in a book, angels don't err. 47:57 Let me read it again. 47:59 Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin. 48:03 Neither say thou before the angel, 48:06 that it was an error. 48:08 What you wrote in the book about me, 48:10 that wasn't right. 48:11 Not going to be any of that. 48:13 We're reminded that the angels make no mistake, 48:16 angels keep records. 48:18 The Bible tells us, angels keep, 48:20 can I go this far to say they keep recordings? 48:22 Are you there with me? 48:26 And they're going to be opened, 48:27 those things are going to be open, 48:28 those books, those recording, 48:30 and they're going to be played. 48:33 Can I use that word? 48:35 'Cause that means open, that means going to be 48:37 played in the judgment? 48:38 And then we shall be judged by what comes out of that 48:41 because that was exactly what went through our life. 48:44 God doesn't need them. 48:47 They're kept as evidence 48:49 that He has given every person an opportunity 48:53 to come to Christ. 48:54 Time after time after time, 48:56 He's wooed, and He's tried to bring them in 48:57 to set Christ. 48:59 It's going to show that He's merciful, 49:01 and He's kind, He's gracious, 49:02 He's long suffering, 49:03 and His judgments are righteousness 49:05 that's what the Bible says. 49:08 What will be the standard in the judgment? 49:11 What will be the standard used in the judgment? 49:13 Remember, God, 49:14 he is talking about God the judge. 49:16 He's sitting there with us all men. 49:18 So He must have a law, 49:20 He must have a standard that is for all. 49:24 Does that make sense? 49:26 He must have something that's for all. 49:27 There can be no government without law, you know that. 49:31 Isaiah 33:22 says this, 49:34 Isaiah 33:22 says, 49:36 "For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver." 49:42 Isn't that beautiful? 49:44 So there can't be any mistake here. 49:45 So it's simply God's Ten Commandment law, 49:47 His moral law. 49:49 The law that was spoken by God, 49:50 written with God's own finger as it were. 49:52 Deuteronomy 4:12-13, 49:57 just jot it down, we can't read it all. 49:59 And then let's go back, you say, well, yeah, 50:00 but what about the people before the law was given? 50:02 Remember, the principles of God's holy law 50:05 was known to Adam and Eve 50:07 at very beginning. 50:09 And it was handed down 50:11 a generation after generation by word of mouth 50:13 before God wrote them on those stone. 50:15 Everybody knew, and there's many illustration 50:17 if we had time to give that it was in effect 50:19 before the law was given on Mount Sinai. 50:22 So if God's court... 50:24 Here's the question, so if God's court 50:25 is a court of justice, and I believe that it it is. 50:28 If it's a court of justice, his law must be just. 50:32 That makes sense. 50:33 Ain't that right? 50:35 His law must be just 50:36 and, you know, what that does? 50:38 That fulfills exactly what Romans 7:12 tells us, 50:41 says what, "Wherefore the law is," what? 50:43 "Is holy, His commandments holy, 50:45 and they are just, and they are good." 50:48 Man that makes it so easy for us. 50:50 And then James passes it right on, 50:51 we know James 2:10-12. 50:54 James speaking of the Ten Commandments 50:56 as the standard in the judgment 50:57 and then he simply says also, 50:59 There are the Ten Commandments 51:01 is referred to as the law of liberty. 51:02 Don't you like that law of liberty? 51:05 You know why? 51:06 Psalms backs that up. 51:08 Psalms 119:45 says, "I will walk in liberty," 51:12 notice this, "for I seek thy precepts." 51:15 Ain't that wonderful? 51:16 You go to the Word of God, man, it just opens up to you. 51:20 Remember, Solomon said that, 51:21 we read that Ecclesiastes 12:13 and 14. 51:25 We've read that before but simply tells us 51:27 we're going to be judged by the law, 51:29 God's Ten Commandment law. 51:30 So He's encouraging us to live by the law, 51:34 makes sense? 51:35 By God's grace, 51:38 you give us power to obey His precepts. 51:41 Four ways, we're going to be judged. 51:43 Just have three minutes... 51:45 Four ways we shall be judged. 51:46 Number one, we're going to be judged, 51:48 what, we just talked about it. 51:49 We're going to be judged by the law of God, 51:51 the Ten Commandments, the teachings of Jesus Christ. 51:54 The example, let me give you example quickly. 51:56 You know, again, what Jesus like remember, 51:58 as a man think it's in his heart, so is he. 52:01 Give you an illustration here. 52:02 We may be a killer in the heart 52:05 but have never killed anyone. 52:06 Are you still there? Here's another one. 52:08 You may be an adulterer in thought 52:11 but not indeed. 52:12 You may do right for the wrong reasons. 52:14 Are you still with me, church? 52:16 Man do right for the wrong reasons. 52:18 "Nothing covered that shall not be revealed," 52:21 Matthew 10:26. 52:23 Number two, 52:24 we're going to be judged by the light we have. 52:27 Did you get it? 52:29 We're judged by the law of God. 52:30 That's the standard of righteous for everybody. 52:32 Number two, we're goanna be judged 52:34 by the light that we have. 52:35 You think you can have something 52:36 you know that is truth. 52:38 You think you don't have to do it, 52:39 better rethink it. 52:40 John 9:41 says, 52:42 "If you were blind, you should have no sin. 52:45 But now you say, we see, 52:47 therefore your sin remaineth." 52:50 Did you get it? 52:51 Therefore what? 52:52 Oh! Wow! 52:54 We see now, we see, we've got all together. 52:55 We've got it made here. 52:56 Another principle here is in Matthew 7:2. 52:59 Notice what it says. Matthew 7. 53:01 "With what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged." 53:06 That's another instance. 53:07 How hard are we on other people? 53:10 Number four, 53:11 we will be judged in mercy. 53:13 Praise God. 53:14 We're going to be judged. 53:16 You know, I praise God for mercy. 53:17 You know why? 53:19 Because Romans 3:23 said, "All have sinned, Kenny." 53:22 And then it goes on, Romans 6:23 says, 53:24 "The wages of sin is death." 53:27 Proverbs 28:13 says, 53:30 "He that covereth his sins," what? 53:32 "Shall not prosper: but whosoever confesseth 53:35 and forsaketh them shall have mercy." 53:37 Now is the time, 53:39 you see the judgment is the time to confess 53:40 and forsake our sin 53:41 and send them up into the judgment right now 53:43 to be taken care of. 53:44 If you don't, you're going to be stuck with them. 53:46 You're going to be stuck with them. 53:48 Wages of sin is death. 53:51 There's a high time to tell the story there. 53:54 But it is interesting, a parent's day at school. 53:57 The teachers wanted to show their children's work, 54:00 so they had big books, 54:01 and they laid out all the books on the table 54:02 for the moms and dads that come by 54:04 and look at the kids on there. 54:06 And the little boy's heart just dropped. 54:07 Oh, no, Mom, Dad's looking at my book 54:09 over there on my first semester, 54:11 I didn't do very well at all. 54:13 Man, it was pitiful. 54:14 I just messed and gummed and messed everything up. 54:16 And oh, man, I don't know. 54:18 These little boys watching Mom and Dad. 54:20 Mom and Dad's opening that book and they're looking, 54:22 and they look at each other and they just smile 54:24 and grin and walk on. 54:25 Do you think that how did that happen? 54:26 I did nothing. 54:28 I made nothing but a mess in school. 54:30 You know what it seemed? 54:31 It seemed afterward the boy found this out, 54:33 that the teacher had torn out all of his messes, 54:37 all the foul ups that he did she tore them out 54:40 and she let it begin 54:41 where he made a change in his life. 54:43 Isn't that wonderful? 54:45 I mean who does that reminds you of? 54:47 Where he started over is what counted. 54:50 Maybe we should do that today by God's grace. 54:54 In any case, my brothers and sisters, 54:55 God doesn't make mistakes. 54:58 Genesis 18:25 last passage says, 55:01 "Shall not the judge of all the earth 55:03 do right? 55:05 I know he's going to do right. 55:06 He'll do right there is no mistakes. 55:07 I want to pray for you right now. 55:09 Be praying for us as we pray back and forth here. 55:11 We're in the hour of God's judgment. 55:13 We need to be ready. Let's pray, shall we? 55:15 Our loving Father in heaven, 55:16 we thank You for Your precious Word. 55:18 Thank You that You are judge. 55:20 Thank You that we're living in the judgment hour. 55:21 Help us to be ready for that great day. 55:23 Help us right now. 55:24 Confess and forsake our sin 55:26 and be ready for Your coming is my prayer. 55:27 And I thank You in Jesus' name. 55:29 Amen. 55:31 See you next time. 55:32 Hello, and welcome back. 55:34 Is there any hope for sinners? 55:36 Do you have a desire to be an overcomer? 55:39 You cannot, 55:41 nor will you ever escape your day in court, 55:44 and it is our sincere prayer 55:47 that this message has encouraged you 55:49 to link up with the very best lawyer, 55:51 the very best advocate, 55:53 the very best judge there is in all the universe 55:57 and that being your Redeemer, your Savior, Jesus Christ. 56:01 He's reaching out with arms open, 56:04 full of love offering hope, heart and strength to overcome. 56:09 Let your answer to Him today. 56:12 Today be a resounding yes, 56:14 and we're going to praise the Lord 56:16 along with you. 56:17 That's all it takes. 56:19 He's all you need in your day in court. 56:22 And again, today's message is entitled 56:25 "Your Day in Court." 56:27 And we will love to send this message to you 56:29 for a gift of just $8 or more, 56:32 along with one of these free Bible study guides 56:35 that we're entitling or that is entitled, 56:38 "Sharing God's Love Makes You Happier, 56:41 What the Bible Says." 56:42 Today's message, 56:44 don't forget is number 22 56:46 out of 25 Bible studies 56:49 that are contained in this series. 56:51 And we will include five free Bible study guides 56:54 if you decide to order all 25. 56:57 These lessons include The Lord's Day, 57:00 Defeat Loneliness, 57:02 Hope in Times of Trouble, and many, many more. 57:06 This gift, this whole series is offered to you 57:08 for just a love gift of $175 or more. 57:14 All you have to do is call us 57:15 here at Behold the Lamb Ministries 57:17 in the United States at (618) 942-5044. 57:23 That's Central Time 57:25 or write to Behold the Lamb Ministries, 57:27 PO Box 2030 Herrin, Illinois 62948. 57:33 We love to get your emails, 57:34 especially those encouraging ones. 57:36 Email your order 57:37 at BeholdTheLambMinistries @yahoo.com 57:40 or you may visit our website at BeholdTheLambMinistries.com. 57:45 Dear, friends, until next time, 57:48 may our precious Lord, 57:49 our Savior, our Redeemer 57:51 continue to richly bless you and yours. |
