00:38 Hello and welcome to Behold The Lamb Presents.
00:41 My name is Chris Shelton, thank you for joining us. 00:44 Today's message is entitled At Midnight There Was a Cry. 00:48 In the Book of Matthew Chapter 25, 00:50 we read about the ten virgins, 00:52 five of which are referred to as wise 00:55 while the other five are said to be foolish. 00:57 All ten are part of God's Church. 01:00 All ten have an opportunity 01:02 to know and to learn what truth is. 01:04 All ten believe in the coming of the bridegroom 01:06 and expect to be His bride, 01:09 but only five are filling their lamps with oil. 01:11 Only five are prepared, 01:13 are filled with the Spirit of God. 01:15 Only five keep their lamps trimmed 01:18 and burning during the bridegroom's delay, 01:20 while everyone grows weary in waiting. 01:23 And thus, only five will be ready 01:25 for the bridegroom's return. 01:27 The ten virgins represent all of us, 01:30 God's people, His church, but sadly, 01:33 not all of us are properly preparing 01:35 for Christ's return. 01:37 Not all of us are doing what Christ the bridegroom 01:40 has asked us to do to win souls for His kingdom, 01:43 and helping others to fill their lamps 01:46 with the Holy Spirit. 01:47 Matthew 25:6 reads, 01:50 "And at midnight there was a cry made, 01:52 behold, the bridegroom cometh, go ye out to meet him." 01:57 But only five could see clearly to do so. 02:01 At Midnight There Was a Cry part one is our message today 02:05 with Pastor Kenny Shelton. 02:06 But first let's visit 3ABN and listen to a song entitled, 02:11 Go Light Your World by Scott Michael Bennett. 02:22 There is a candle 02:26 In every soul 02:30 Some brightly burning 02:34 Some dark and cold 02:37 There is a Spirit 02:41 Who brings a fire 02:46 Ignites a candle 02:50 And makes His home 02:53 Carry your candle 02:57 Run to the darkness 03:01 Seek out the hopeless 03:05 Confused and torn 03:09 And hold out your candle 03:13 For all to see it 03:16 Oh, take your candle 03:21 And go light your world 03:25 Take your candle 03:29 And go light your world 03:37 Frustrated brother 03:40 See how he's tried to 03:44 Light his own candle 03:48 Some other way 03:52 See now your sister 03:56 She's been robbed and lied to 04:00 She still holds her candle 04:04 Without a flame 04:07 So, carry your candle 04:11 Run to the darkness 04:15 Seek out the lonely 04:19 The tired and worn 04:23 Hold out your candle 04:27 For all to see it 04:31 Take your candle 04:34 And go light your world 04:38 Take your candle 04:42 And go light your world 04:50 We are a family 04:54 Whose hearts are blazing 04:57 So, let's raise our candles 05:01 And light up the sky 05:05 Praying to our Father 05:09 In the name of Jesus 05:13 Make us a beacon 05:17 In the darkest night 05:21 Carry your candle 05:25 Run to the darkness 05:28 Seek out the helpless 05:33 Deceived and poor 05:36 Hold out your candle 05:40 For all to see it 05:43 Oh, take your candle 05:48 Go light your world 05:52 Take your candle 05:56 Go light your world 06:02 Take your candle 06:05 And go light your world 06:13 Go light your world 06:22 Go light your world 06:31 Praise the Lord. 06:32 Glad you join us here at Behold the Lamb. 06:34 We have a very, very important subject 06:37 that the Holy Spirit we believe 06:38 has put into our hearts and our mind 06:40 and wants to just remind you of some things 06:42 and maybe some things will be new 06:43 and we pray that the Holy Spirit will help us 06:45 to get through At Midnight There Was a Cry. 06:49 Sermon title, At Midnight There Was a Cry. 06:53 Let's pray first, shall we? 06:58 Kind loving Heavenly Father, 06:59 again we thank You for the privilege 07:01 that we have today 07:03 to be part of the family of God, 07:04 we ask in a special way be covered by Thy blood. 07:07 Pray You'll give freedom of speech 07:09 and our minds will be open, 07:10 our hearts will be open to receive that 07:12 which You have for us not man but what You have for us. 07:16 May we take it, take a deep inside 07:17 of our hearts and our minds, may it encourage us 07:21 and strengthen us to realize the hour in which we live. 07:23 Lord, we just thank You, we give You praise 07:25 for each and everyone that views, 07:27 each one that listens. 07:29 We pray their need will be met as they look to Jesus, 07:31 the author and finisher of our faith, in Jesus' name. 07:33 Amen. 07:36 Again, the sermon title is if you have your note, 07:38 pencil and paper and all the stuff 07:40 that you jot down as quickly as you can, 07:42 and certainly have your Bible because I'm an encourager, 07:45 to be sure to study to show yourself 07:47 approved unto God. 07:49 That means you're going to know 07:50 whether it's truth or not by comparing line upon line, 07:52 precept upon precept. 07:53 The Bible says here a little and there a little. 07:56 At Midnight There Was a Cry. 08:00 What does that mean, At Midnight There Was a Cry? 08:03 If you have your Bible, 08:05 we're going to look at just a couple of verses. 08:07 It's not going to be a sermon on the ten virgins, 08:10 but we're going to use part of the wording here. 08:13 And we pray that Holy Spirit will help us to see number one, 08:16 our responsibility that we have, 08:20 if we recognize the hour in which we live. 08:23 See, that's very important, 08:24 I believe, to recognize the hour 08:26 that we're living, 08:27 the nearness of the coming of Jesus, 08:29 and what we need to by God's grace to be accomplishing 08:34 before He shall come. 08:35 Matthew Chapter 25, turn in your Bible. 08:38 We're going to read verses 5 and 6, 08:41 just verses 5 and 6. 08:43 Man, there's a lot to Matthew Chapter 25. 08:46 In fact, Matthew Chapter 24, 08:48 Matthew Chapter 25, tells about the coming of Jesus 08:52 and the necessary preparation in order to meet Him 08:55 when He shall come in the clouds of glory. 08:58 You want some powerful chapters, read those two. 09:01 And I think your eyes and ears will be open to say, 09:03 oh, I need to be ready for the coming of Jesus. 09:07 Let's read verse 5 and 6, 09:08 shall we, of Matthew Chapter 25? 09:12 The Bible says, "While the bridegroom," what? 09:17 "Tarried," or delayed, "they all slumbered and slept." 09:21 Slumbered is different than slept here, 09:23 slumbered in the Greek says they begin to nod. 09:27 You ever know someone that's a little bit sleepy 09:29 and they're sitting in, oh, in the pew, 09:31 and all of a sudden their head gives it this business. 09:35 The head begins to nod. 09:36 That means they're losing consciousness, 09:38 if you know what I mean. 09:40 Things that are around them, 09:41 they're starting to go to asleep. 09:44 So, they begin to slumber, 09:46 nod because they were drowsy and they slept 09:52 that is it has the meaning in the Greek 09:54 that that kind of laid down to rest. 09:56 You know, a lot of, some people sleep sitting up, 09:59 most people lay down. 10:00 And so, this gives the connotation of here 10:03 of someone laying down to take rest, 10:06 to fall asleep or to be asleep. 10:11 So here the Bible says, while the bridegroom did, what? 10:14 While he tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 10:19 Some people will say, 10:20 keep this in mind that as you know, 10:22 why hasn't Jesus come before now? 10:25 Why is He tarrying? 10:27 Are we living in the tarrying time? 10:29 It seems like He could be here before now. 10:32 Why isn't He? 10:35 Verse 6, the Bible goes on, it says, notice this, 10:37 "At midnight," what? 10:39 "There was a cry," sermon title, at midnight, 10:42 there was what? 10:44 "There was a cry made, behold, 10:46 the bridegroom cometh, go ye out to meet him." 10:49 The bridegroom represents whom here? 10:52 Represents Jesus Christ. Jesus is coming. 10:55 There's cry that was made at midnight. 10:58 Hopefully we'll see the significance of that 10:59 here in just a little bit. 11:01 Behold, the bridegroom cometh, 11:03 if we really believe that the bridegroom is coming that 11:07 Jesus is coming, what will that do for us 11:11 should there be a cry given? 11:15 Should there be a little excitement 11:16 around what's going on in the cause of God? 11:19 Should there be some movement? 11:21 Should there be people that were saying, 11:23 Jesus is coming rather than we've got this coming event? 11:28 Now think about it. 11:29 We're talking about things of this world, 11:31 Jesus is coming or things of this world. 11:33 A little information, just I'm going to do it quickly 11:35 and we should spend some time on this at a different time. 11:39 When you say the midnight cry, 11:41 most of us think is it okay to say this, 11:44 Ivan Parker who's saying the midnight cry, 11:48 midnight cry when Jesus comes again. 11:52 Awesome song gives you goosebumps 11:55 when you go through it, 11:56 and I believe it's pretty scriptural. 11:59 At the midnight cry when Jesus comes again. 12:04 But the midnight cry we think about 12:06 a little bit about this right here the note, 12:08 the midnight cry in Scripture 12:12 and certainly in Spirit of Prophecy 12:14 refers to the summer of 1844. 12:19 Something specific happened in 1844. 12:22 We understand that in giving of the three angels' message, 12:25 the 2300 day prophecy is simply, what? 12:28 The judgment hour began. The midnight cry is what? 12:34 The three angels' message is to prepare us for, what? 12:36 The coming of Jesus to give the three messages 12:39 before Jesus comes to warn the world 12:43 that something is going on. 12:46 There's a cry and there's a cry in the land. 12:49 There's things going on in this country 12:51 and in this world that dictate, 12:54 that tell us beyond a shadow of a doubt 12:56 that Jesus is to come 12:58 and we need to get our lives in order. 13:00 We need to prioritize things and quit crippling up 13:04 as it were on the world and the things of the world 13:07 and shoulder up with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. 13:10 So the midnight cry was given in the summer of 1844. 13:15 And man, what a time that was. 13:17 We can't spend all this time on this, 13:18 that's not the message. 13:20 But background is that 13:21 there was a religious awakening in 1843 and 1844, right, 13:27 of the coming of Jesus, the judgment hour. 13:30 Go back to the one that made heaven and earth, 13:32 and the sea and all that in the midst, 13:34 you go back to the creation, 13:35 you go back to the Seventh-day Sabbath. 13:37 There's, we're living in the hour of God's judgment. 13:40 It begins at the house of God. We've been in it since 1844. 13:44 There's no doubt about all of this. 13:47 Scripture is clear and straight talk 13:50 when it comes to this message. 13:52 How long will Jesus bear with us? 13:55 He only bought 120 years right at the time of the flood. 14:00 This is well over that, what is it 160, 170 years, 14:03 somebody with the calculator, been a long time since 1844. 14:06 And God is still waiting, 14:08 but the cry is going to be given, 14:10 at midnight there's a cry. 14:13 What happens when we hear a cry? 14:16 What happens when you hear a cry maybe of a baby? 14:20 Well, we wake up, it doesn't take much. 14:23 Mom, grandma may sleep pretty well at times. 14:26 But when the baby, grandbaby 14:28 is there in the crib in another room, 14:31 and you've got a monitor that picks up 14:35 every little uh-uh that I hear. 14:40 But as soon as it says, ah, grandma's wide awake. 14:46 I might say grandma, hey, wake up. 14:49 No response. 14:50 But when the baby, when there's a cry, 14:52 a certain cry people do, what? 14:55 They wake up. 14:56 We have to know about this midnight cry. 15:01 Remember this midnight cry was given at the close 15:05 of the second angel's message. 15:07 First angel message sounded. 15:09 Then the second angel's message sounded. 15:12 You remember, Babylon is fallen, 15:14 come out of her, My people. 15:15 There was a call given, 15:17 there was a message giving and it had to do 15:18 with the Seventh-day Sabbath. 15:20 Yes, it had to do with the judgment hour. 15:22 It had to do with the mark 15:24 of the beast and Sunday worship. 15:25 Are you still with me? 15:27 These are the three angels' message 15:28 we're talking about here. 15:30 But the first angel's message was preached. 15:32 There was a religious revival, people were excited. 15:35 Everybody was coming in. 15:37 We're not talking about Advent 15:38 because the Adventist Church wasn't until 1863 15:41 when it was organized, right, into a church. 15:43 People say well, 15:44 the Adventist missed it in 1844. 15:46 It wasn't Adventist, it was a, what was Miller, Baptist? 15:50 Was he Baptist or Methodist? 15:52 Oh, well, anyway, you understand my thought, 15:55 he wasn't as were a Seventh-day Adventists 15:57 and they try to blame. 15:58 Listen, he came up, God used this man to come up. 16:02 You see with, the religious awakening in 16:05 its first especially in North America. 16:09 And I'm telling you people were excited, 16:11 they were coming together, 16:12 they were leaving their beliefs over here. 16:13 They were coming, they just knew 16:15 that Jesus would come. 16:16 Why? 16:17 Because the prophecy said that He would come. 16:19 Because it told of His, 16:20 the year that he would be baptized. 16:22 It told of the year that he would die on Calvary. 16:24 It told of them the year that 16:26 the message would go to the Gentiles. 16:28 And it told of the judgment hour in 1844. 16:32 The people were excited about it 16:34 and they accepted it, 16:35 but there was a tarrying time, at midnight there was a cry. 16:40 God's people were called out of Babylon. 16:43 We have to realize that 16:44 if we're not preaching and teaching the truth, 16:46 we're Babylon. 16:48 Does that make sense? 16:49 Babylon, God calls out, 16:51 He gives a message and then He calls you, 16:53 He says come out of her, the church, My people. 16:57 Come out of her represents what? 16:59 There's no doubt, the church. 17:01 God is saying come out of the church. 17:03 God has good people everywhere. 17:05 But then He gives a message to test 17:07 whether you're going to obey it to Him, 17:08 or you're going to just fall in this little thing as, 17:11 well, I've always been, grandma always was, 17:13 daddy always was and everybody always was, 17:16 that doesn't matter about them, 17:18 because they have their relationship with Christ. 17:21 We have our relationship with Christ, 17:23 we must stand in the knowledge 17:24 that God has given us right now or we will be found wanting. 17:29 During this midnight cry, there was a cry, 17:33 there was a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit. 17:36 How desperately we need that in the church today. 17:40 There's just so much going on all the time, 17:42 things that didn't mount, I say to a hill of beans, 17:45 and we void many times of the Holy Spirit. 17:48 That doesn't matter. 17:49 We say, well, we're the remnant church, 17:50 we're right, still void of the Holy Spirit. 17:52 We should have already been in glory by now. 17:55 If we had it done what was taking place here 17:58 when this message was given and we'd follow through 18:01 in keeping all three of those messages 18:02 by the grace of God going back 18:04 and keeping all the commandments 18:05 and not just nine of them. 18:07 Air long we would already been in the kingdom shortly. 18:10 Do you see that after this time period, 18:12 we're here by the grace of God, 18:14 Jesus still stands up and said my people 18:16 hasn't got it quite yet. 18:17 Just give him a little more time, 18:19 how wonderful God is. 18:22 And more time is given to get this message out. 18:24 And God said, I will raise the people 18:25 to get this message out 18:27 because at midnight there's a cry. 18:30 This is important with the things 18:31 going on in the world. 18:32 This is what I want to associate 18:34 with is our past messages that we've been giving, 18:36 all about climate change, all about the economy, 18:39 all about things that are going on in the world. 18:41 This comes right together with it, 18:43 to warn us where we're at, in earth's history, 18:47 and what we need to be doing because things are in place. 18:51 Things are in place that tells us that these, 18:56 we've heard it all of our life. 18:57 I heard it when I was just a little guy. 18:59 I didn't get, understand it, 19:00 don't know that I understand it all now, 19:03 and I certainly don't, 19:04 I'm learning but I heard the last movements 19:07 will be rapid ones in that 6 Testimonies 11, 19:11 would the last moments will be rapid ones. 19:13 Why? 19:15 Because it's not going to be, 19:16 well, we've got to put this together 19:18 and that together and a lot of red tape 19:19 because the red tapes already been out there 19:21 for a long time. 19:22 All of the things are in place that will bring about the end. 19:26 Again, we're talking about the end of this world 19:29 and that's going to be it forever. 19:31 Where are you going to stand? Where am I going to stand? 19:35 Do you realize this midnight cry 19:37 that went out, 19:39 prepared people by the power of the Holy Spirit 19:42 that lightened up the minds and hearts of many people 19:46 until the disappointment then many fail, 19:48 we understand that, but it opened up their mind 19:51 to receive the third angel's message. 19:54 See, a third angel's message hadn't been given just yet. 19:56 God gave the Holy Spirit so the third angel's message 20:00 which is a warning against, what? 20:01 Somebody say the mark of the beast, I'll get happy. 20:04 The mark of the beast, the image to the beast. 20:10 And so, as the Holy Spirit 20:12 worked upon the minds and the hearts, 20:13 it gave power for men 20:15 to receive this third angel's message. 20:19 And not only that, 20:20 but as the Holy Spirit was poured out, 20:22 some beautiful truths of the sanctuary 20:25 became clear in the minds of people's heart. 20:29 We need to understand the sanctuary 20:32 and the sanctuary message 20:33 for in the balances of the sanctuary, 20:35 the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 20:37 everybody will be weighed in those balances. 20:41 Man, that's heavy duty. We have weighed in the back. 20:44 If you're weighed in the balances 20:45 and you're found wanting, how sad that's going to be. 20:49 I'd love to read you some quotes, 20:50 I'm not going to do that, don't have time to do that 20:52 I want maybe at another time, but there are, 20:55 there those in these last days before Jesus comes. 20:59 There's going to be some that has written 21:01 on their garment weighed in the balances 21:03 and found wanting. 21:06 An early writing just says this, 21:08 I'll leave you with this thought, 21:09 think about it. 21:11 Why are we found wanting? 21:13 We were zealous about the cause of Christ 21:16 and going to church and we're doing these things. 21:18 These were people who once kept the Sabbath and then left it. 21:24 And nothing would change that verdict, 21:27 it was over with. 21:29 They once knew the truth and they left it. 21:31 I encourage you if you know what truth is, 21:33 man, stay with it. 21:34 By the grace of God stay with it. 21:37 That group early writing says was howling. 21:41 Whatever that might be, 21:43 screaming out, oh, God, help us. 21:46 It was too late, the door was shut. 21:49 That day is coming up on us right now. 21:53 Behold, the bridegroom cometh. 21:56 The Bible says go you out to do, what? 21:59 Go out to meet Him. 22:00 Midnight is significance, why I'm spending this time 22:03 on what we're talking about here. 22:05 Midnight is significant. 22:07 You remember what happened at midnight 22:09 when Paul and Silas were in prison. 22:12 They begin to, somebody say pray, 22:15 sing and pray. 22:17 Here they're locked up. You know what I mean? 22:19 Tied on a drum, no one can get in, 22:21 they begin to sing 22:22 and they begin to pray the Bible 22:24 says at midnight, and the doors, 22:26 everything was opened up. 22:29 Everybody was set free. 22:33 The guard wanted to kill us. You know, the story on that. 22:36 Read that when you have time. 22:37 Acts 16:25, the Bible talks about 22:41 at midnight Paul and Silas prayed. 22:44 You remember about Paul, he was preaching, 22:46 today you won't have to worry about that. 22:48 I just have 30 some minutes left. 22:50 And so, I'll end on time. 22:52 But that doesn't mean you won't get part two. 22:54 I'm sure this is part one. So stay on it. 22:58 Think about that with me. 22:59 What did Paul preached until midnight, 23:02 do you remember that in the Bible? 23:03 See midnight is not a new word like, well, what do you mean, 23:06 at midnight there was a cry, midnight's not. 23:10 The world is at a midnight crisis right now 23:13 because the earth is so dark and so sinful. 23:17 We've strayed away from God so far right now, 23:20 we don't know hardly good from evil. 23:22 Only the Word of God can reveal that to us. 23:26 That he preached till midnight and you know what? 23:28 I believe I wasn't there, 23:29 I don't think it ever says in Scripture. 23:31 I don't believe anybody left. 23:33 One man got, oh, a little bit sleepy. 23:38 You remember what he said? 23:39 While the bridegroom tarried, they slumbered and slept. 23:44 Somebody stay with me, please, somebody help me. 23:47 They did what? They slumbered and slept. 23:50 Paul preached till midnight 23:51 somebody got sleep, was it Eutychus? 23:54 Sitting in the window, and he fell out. 23:58 That's what happen when you go to sleep, 23:59 you're going to have a falling out with Jesus. 24:02 You're liable to get hurt, 24:05 fell out the window and he died, 24:06 did he not, it killed him. 24:08 And then there was a miracle performed. 24:10 God is merciful, isn't He? 24:11 Didn't say that's what he deserved, 24:13 he fell asleep. 24:14 That's what we say sometime with our fellowman. 24:16 They make a mistake, we say, well, 24:17 they'll get what they deserve. 24:18 No. 24:22 Job 34:20, the Bible said, "The people shall be," 24:26 listen, "The people shall be troubled at midnight." 24:31 What is it about? 24:32 I need to pay attention to this. 24:34 There's something about midnight 24:35 and you realize 24:37 when you read Spirit of Prophecy, 24:38 it says at midnight, God's people are delivered. 24:42 Whoo. 24:44 But also it says here at midnight, 24:47 the people shall be troubled. 24:50 And you notice this as you read the Bible, 24:52 and I'm going to leave it after I get, 24:54 there's so much on Exodus Chapter 12. 24:57 The Bible talks about verse 29 about, 25:00 he said the people remember what happened, the firstborn. 25:05 And Moses, you remember what happened? 25:07 All the firstborn of the household 25:10 that didn't have blood over the doorpost, 25:12 when destroying angel come through, 25:14 they all died. 25:15 That means what about two years and under? 25:19 There was a crying. 25:21 There was a screaming, 25:22 there was a cry going out 25:23 because all the firstborn were killed. 25:25 Know what the Bible says? 25:26 It was said, it was at midnight that they were killed. 25:31 Interesting with the word, 25:33 God says at midnight, there was a cry. 25:38 This parable given that we're talking about 25:40 Matthew Chapter 25 25:43 emphasizes the importance of two things. 25:45 I want us to try to get this and it's not going to change. 25:49 You'll say, well, I wish it would change, 25:50 I wish something. 25:51 If these things are not going to change 25:53 because God is not changeable, He doesn't change. 25:55 Right? 25:57 You know what He said, want to say what, 25:58 went out of my mouth I cannot change or alter it. 26:00 Whoo. 26:01 Once He wrote it with His finger, 26:03 He's not going to change or alter that 26:04 either of the Ten Commandments. 26:06 He's not going to say, well, I didn't know that 26:08 that'd be a change in the day 26:09 or ought to put another day down. 26:11 Somebody needs to think about this. 26:14 He's God. 26:15 He knew everything was going to take place. 26:21 Two things coming out of this, at midnight there was a cry, 26:24 the bridegroom cometh, 26:25 go out to meet Him is it tells me, 26:28 number one, preparation. 26:30 Number one is preparation for the coming of Christ. 26:34 And then, you know, 26:36 it stresses to me the point that we need to be ready. 26:40 That's very, very important. 26:42 Being ready, preparation 26:44 and being ready for the coming of Jesus. 26:46 Why? 26:48 Matthew 24:44, Matthew 24:44, I'm not going to read words. 26:54 "Be ye," what? "Also ready." 26:57 Over and over in Scripture, be ye also ready. 26:59 Now remember all of these points 27:01 is simply to say all the stuff 27:02 we've been studying and going over 27:04 and looking at the world and the government, 27:06 all this going on indicates to me 27:09 that we need to be ready because Jesus is coming. 27:12 And then so once we recognize that, 27:14 oh, yeah, but we can talk more about the government, 27:16 we can talk more about what's happening. 27:18 But look, the Bible says, once again, 27:20 we've got to be ready when we see these things 27:24 happening in the world, and then if you're prepared 27:27 and you're ready, 27:28 you're going to be doing some things, 27:31 not just talking about it. 27:34 And having more socials than you do Bible studies. 27:38 Is that okay to say that? 27:41 Well, I think it is. Sure, it is. 27:47 See, that may sound strange to some people, 27:50 but we realize 27:51 we have more not here at this church, 27:54 but many churches have more things internally 27:57 than they do external. 28:00 They have more things to look, 28:02 and they're not bad within themselves. 28:04 There's some important things, 28:05 but they have everything that's pertaining to them 28:08 and their family 28:09 and what's going on and da, da, da, da. 28:11 Jesus never did say, 28:12 what He said to you and to me was, 28:14 He said, go to the highways 28:16 and the byways and compel them to come in. 28:19 I firmly believe that God's Church, 28:22 God's people will have 28:23 more outreach than they do in-reach. 28:27 Is that all right? Why? 28:30 Because the Bible said Kenny, 28:33 Jan, John, Audie, go ye into 28:37 all the world and do, what? 28:40 Preach the gospel. 28:41 But we have it all these things 28:42 even though they're good within themselves possibly. 28:45 It prevents us from doing what we are here 28:48 because at midnight there's going to be a cry. 28:53 This is important. This is important. 28:59 Be ye ready, that means take heed, that means watch. 29:04 God, I'm a believer in this, 29:06 God has revealed enough in His Word 29:08 that we may know the season in which we are living. 29:11 Does that make sense? 29:13 We've been talking about for weeks on 29:14 and things going on in the world, have we not? 29:17 Now we're going to sow it together 29:18 right now and to say, look, God has said, 29:20 you're going to know enough 29:22 before it's happening in the world. 29:25 What's happening in the church. 29:29 Many times, we find ourselves 29:31 retreating back to Egypt rather than toward heaven. 29:35 Israel did it, God's people did it before. 29:38 And it's sad to say many times we find ourselves doing that, 29:42 because we don't want 29:43 to uphold the standards of God's Word. 29:46 We'd want to pull standards of the church. 29:48 We want to have our own way, this group do it this way, 29:50 this group will do it another way. 29:52 There's only one way, it's based on the Word of God. 29:55 We need to get out of the way and let God speak to us. 29:58 We need to get out of the way and let God work the way 30:00 He wants to work, 30:01 certainly you can say my opinion, 30:03 if you want to say, well, it's his opinion. 30:05 But God wants to work and He wants us to come 30:07 into unity and oneness. 30:12 He's revealed enough 30:14 that we can know the event is near, even at the door. 30:18 So, if the verse says, I want you to be ready, 30:22 I want you to watch, I want you to be ready, 30:24 then I might just put, if we see, we're watching, 30:27 and we're ready, 30:29 and we know things are happening. 30:30 We need to do something about it. 30:33 We need to warn others, is it important to warn others? 30:36 That's a question. 30:38 How important is it to warn others? 30:43 Now remember, we're seeing all kinds of things 30:45 happen in the world 30:46 and we could just spend all kinds of time, 30:48 type up all kind of thing. 30:49 News is full constantly, the Catholic newspapers, 30:53 the British world news, everything you can think of 30:56 you can get even across the seas 30:58 are filled with things that are happening 31:00 that seemed to be good on the surface, 31:02 but it tells us what's happening. 31:04 Jesus is coming. 31:06 So, if we believe that will we be interested 31:09 in warning other people? 31:12 Well, it seems like we would be, we should be. 31:16 When you see these things the Bible says, 31:18 well, lift up your head, your redemption draws nigh, 31:21 warn others that Jesus is coming. 31:24 Why? 31:25 Because we see prophecy 31:26 being fulfilled before our very eyes. 31:29 We see the signs of, what? Signs of the times. 31:35 We see what's happening in the world. 31:37 We see what's happening in the church. 31:41 See people are too afraid in the church to call sin 31:43 by its right name, you do know that. 31:47 Some of you may, it's first time you hear 31:48 but other people will ring a bell. 31:51 Because we want to just get along. 31:53 We want to, we want to work things out nicely. 31:56 We want everybody to love us as a pastor, 31:59 elder, deacon, you know, somebody in the church. 32:01 And most pastors said, 32:03 they just want to make everything ride smoothly 32:06 and up into retirement 32:07 and they don't want to cause any waves. 32:10 Well, I'm just the opposite, I like a little waves. 32:13 Don't you? Yeah. 32:16 Think about it. 32:17 We're told that 32:18 we need to agitate the Word of God, 32:20 that doesn't mean it's going to be smooth. 32:22 That just simply means you're going to continue 32:24 to talk about it. 32:25 You're going to continue to warn people. 32:28 You're going to tell them maybe the same things over and over, 32:30 say, well, we know, we know. 32:32 But with that kind of attitude, it means our heart's not right. 32:35 Every time we hear a warning, we just say thank you, God, 32:38 that either came from God or it came from man 32:40 but still yet is it truth. 32:42 Yes, we need to be warning people. 32:43 Why? 32:45 Because the world is soon to come to an end. 32:46 He that's righteous, be righteous, 32:48 he the filthy will be filthy still. 32:50 So we see this steady that we talked about, 32:53 steady stream of events. 32:56 God has given us enough in prophecy, the what? 32:59 We can see the steady stream of events 33:02 that's leading up to the coming of Jesus. 33:04 And what more we'll concentrate on as we'll talk about here, 33:08 the little time of trouble. 33:10 We realize there's a little time of trouble 33:12 and there's a, we call a big time of trouble 33:14 at Daniel 12:1. 33:19 But what should we be doing as God's people 33:21 when we're entering this time? 33:22 I think that we need to be wide awake. 33:27 What do we need to be doing quickly? 33:30 I'm going to give you just a few texts about 33:32 maybe being wide awake. 33:34 Acts Chapter 20, just jot them down 33:36 and we'll go quickly as we can. 33:37 Some of them I'm going to have to read 33:39 because this is telling us our responsibility 33:41 that we have in our obligation. 33:43 And if we're not doing it, 33:45 what makes us think that we will go to heaven. 33:49 Like that, we talked about the lady was saying, 33:52 was it yesterday is because you go to church 33:55 on the seventh day Sabbath 33:56 doesn't mean you're going to heaven. 33:59 Interesting. Fair thought, isn't it? 34:05 The Bible does say, as I said to her, 34:09 have you not read where the Bible 34:11 said the seventh day 34:12 is a Sabbath of the Lord thy God. 34:14 It's God's day. 34:17 And He's challenging us with it. 34:19 Do we recognize Him as Creator and Redeemer or do we not? 34:23 Or do we choose another leader? 34:24 We need to be wide awake. 34:26 Acts 20:27, 31 says this, 34:29 "For I have not," I think this is Paul. 34:31 He said, "I've not shunned 34:33 to declare unto you all the counsel of God." 34:37 Do you remember? 34:39 What a wonderful statement that would be if every teacher, 34:41 pastor, everybody's leading out 34:43 doing individually that we could say, 34:45 I have not, right, 34:47 shunned to declare all the gospel to you, 34:49 everything that I know, 34:51 instead of holding back or not presenting 34:53 because someone won't like it. 34:55 They don't want to hear it, 34:56 they don't believe the way you believe. 34:58 Paul said, I've given you the council of God, 35:00 all the counsel of God. 35:02 And then verse 31. 35:04 He simply says, 35:05 "Therefore watch, and remember," 35:08 here's what it says. 35:09 "By the space of three years." 35:11 Notice this, "I ceased not to warn 35:14 every one night and day with tears." 35:18 Did Paul have a problem with warning people? 35:21 No. 35:23 He found it was, he needed to, 35:25 he said it for the last three years 35:26 I've been hearing this error. 35:27 And you know that I've warned you wherever, 35:30 I've warned you night and day and I've cried about it. 35:34 My heart's broken over it. 35:37 Because God has given direction 35:39 and as the church thought in Paul's time and our time 35:43 we refused to hear the Word of God, 35:45 we refuse to do it by the grace and strength of God. 35:47 We just want our own way. 35:50 We want to talk about heaven, 35:51 but do we really want to populate it? 35:53 I don't, think about it. 35:56 Three years, he told us. 36:01 Let's look up a couple passages of scripture, 36:03 a couple other ones I think is very, very good. 36:05 Because you're saying, well, why spend, 36:07 you know why spend all this time on this? 36:09 Because I think it's life and death, 36:11 that's what I think it is. 36:13 Turn with me to Book of Ezekiel, 36:14 if you will, please, Ezekiel Chapter 3. 36:16 Some of you read these many, many times over. 36:19 But I'm trying to stress by the grace of God, 36:22 the importance of not, oh, this is just a message. 36:24 This is what we need to do. 36:26 God says, I'm going to hold you accountable 36:29 if you do not warn people. 36:31 So from week to week, 36:32 if you get warning after warning, 36:34 give God the praise and say thank You, Lord. 36:37 Somebody's telling the truth. 36:40 Jesus is coming back. 36:43 What if I decide not to, what if you decide not to, 36:45 we want to keep silent, we don't want to talk about it. 36:48 Ezekiel Chapter 3. 36:49 I'm going to read several verses 36:51 if you don't mind, 36:52 starting with verse 17, and go through 21. 36:54 Here's what the Bible says, 17, 36:58 "Son of man, I have made thee a," what? 37:01 "A watchman in the house of Israel." 37:03 See, we have a lot of watchmen today 37:05 but some of them, you know, they're not watching. 37:10 A lot of them on the wall, 37:12 but they're not blowing the trumpet. 37:14 They call themselves a watchman, 37:16 you cannot be a watchman 37:19 if you're not blowing the trumpet. 37:21 If you're not warning the people. 37:23 With the warning comes in encouragement, 37:26 that certainly God side's going to win, 37:27 but we need the warning. 37:29 "I have made thee a watchman in the house of Israel, 37:31 therefore hear the word 37:32 at my mouth, and give them," what? 37:35 The Bible, here Bible says, give them warning. 37:38 So if I gave you a warning, say well, I don't want to hear, 37:40 the Bible says warn him for me. 37:43 When I say to the wicked, who's he talking to? 37:47 Okay, good. 37:48 Okay, let's just, let's all think, 37:50 "When I say to the wicked, 37:52 Thou shalt surely die, and thou givest him no warning, 37:57 nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, 38:00 to save his life, 38:02 the same wicked man shall die," what? 38:05 The wicked man is going to die in his iniquity 38:07 because he didn't repent, so he's going to die. 38:09 But notice this, "But his blood will I require at thine hand." 38:17 At midnight, there was a cry. 38:21 We're in the midnight of earth's history. 38:24 And God's saying to us right now to that wicked man 38:27 or that neighbor or friend 38:28 or family member that doesn't know Christ. 38:30 He doesn't want to, 38:31 we won't refer to them as wicked, but what? 38:34 They're not in tune with Christ, 38:36 a change has to take place. 38:38 And it says, if we do not do that, 38:40 that man will still die in his iniquity 38:43 because you didn't tell him differently. 38:45 Wow. 38:48 Is that what it said or did I read it wrong? 38:51 We've made like to read it differently. 38:55 Because I think I've passed up 38:56 several opportunities in my lifetime, 38:59 not on purpose maybe but I'm saying 39:01 sometimes we pass up opportunities 39:02 and God's saying right here, His blood, 39:05 well, I require at thine hand. 39:07 Now notice, "Yet if thou warn," 39:09 verse 19, "the wicked," if you warn him, 39:12 "and he turn not from his wickedness, 39:15 nor from his wicked ways, he shall die in his iniquity, 39:18 but thou hast delivered thy soul." 39:21 Do you see the differences here? 39:22 We can lose and miss out on heaven 39:25 if we don't tell others about His soon coming. 39:27 The truth of God's Word. 39:31 No, they don't want to hear him, 39:32 the majority of the world don't want to hear 39:33 what truth is. 39:35 They don't want to hear you 39:36 talk about the seventh day Sabbath. 39:38 As truthful as that is in Scripture, 39:40 I can't find anything easier to understand to be honest, 39:42 I really can't. 39:45 That saddens my heart day in and day out to talk to people 39:47 who just don't care. 39:50 They say it doesn't make any difference. 39:52 They don't want to change. 39:53 They don't want to do different. 39:55 They don't want to seem strange in the eyes of the world. 39:58 Man, somebody get strange in the eyes of the world. 40:03 I think it's so, so important. 40:06 Don't worry about what people think about you, 40:09 worry about what God sees and thinks about you and me. 40:13 I think that's important. 40:18 And He didn't say it would be easy. 40:19 Look at His followers in Scripture. 40:22 Look at His followers, Lord, have mercy, 40:24 what happened to those poor men and women, children. 40:29 Through the dark ages, and not only that, 40:31 look at the disciples, look at the apostles, 40:32 that one with Christ. 40:34 Christ said you want to be with Me, 40:35 then you're going to have to go through 40:37 what I went through. 40:38 Why? 40:39 Because He was fully human just like we are. 40:41 And we all failed, He didn't, praise God, 40:44 that gave me a chance for heaven. 40:46 That gave you a chance for heaven. 40:47 Aren't you glad that He did? Aren't you praising God? 40:50 Because Jesus is willing to come down here. 40:52 He looked at you, He saw something good in you. 40:54 He saw something in you that you don't see in yourself even. 40:58 Something worth saving, worth dying for, 41:01 worth people talking about, 41:02 you pulling his beard out, putting crowns on Him, 41:04 nailing, you know, 41:06 spikes through His hands and through His feet. 41:07 Oh, crucifying, that was miserable death. 41:09 But He said, Jan's worth it. 41:14 Man, I don't. For myself, I don't see it. 41:18 But He said, they're worth it. 41:21 He pled with the Father, let Me go, let Me do it. 41:24 I want to do it. 41:29 We have to warn, the Bible says if we do not, 41:33 you tell the wicked and they do not change. 41:36 In other words, you ask somebody to give, 41:37 we pray with people and try, 41:38 would you give your life to Jesus? 41:41 We've done that at the kitchen table 41:42 not too long ago. 41:44 Maybe just in your own heart, we say just tell Jesus, 41:46 I need You. 41:47 Remember we talked about it. 41:49 Just simply say, just tell Jesus, 41:51 you need Him. 41:52 Don't try to plan on making no big changes or anything. 41:54 Right now just tell Him, you want Him in your life 41:57 because if you don't have Him in your life, 41:59 and something happens, 42:00 heaven won't be your home, He's the only way. 42:02 The Bible said He's the only door, 42:03 isn't that right? 42:05 It's not trying to be difficult, 42:06 that sounds simple to me. 42:08 He's the only way that heaven can be our home, 42:11 it's the only name given among men, 42:13 whereby we must be stayed as the name of Jesus. 42:17 But we must tell if the wicked then you try to talk with them 42:21 and pray with them and they don't change. 42:23 God said you delivered your own soul 42:25 because you've done what you should have done. 42:27 You told them. 42:31 Verse 20, when a righteous man 42:35 so we covered the wicked, 42:36 now we're going to talk about a righteous man for, 42:37 and what is it? 42:39 What would be a righteous man? 42:42 Oh, he's, somebody say a religious person, 42:44 a person who's doing right. 42:45 Right. 42:47 I'm still religious doing right at the best of their knowledge. 42:52 God has given us Ten Commandments 42:53 and we look on that and say, hey. 42:56 "When a righteous man turns 42:59 from his righteousness, and commit iniquity." 43:01 Remember this, one saved always saved business. 43:04 This right here kills it. 43:06 Real quick, notice when a righteous man 43:08 want to saved, saving, you know, 43:10 a saved person turns from his righteous 43:13 and commit sin iniquity, 43:15 I lay a stumbling block before him. 43:17 That means a test comes, God allows a test to come. 43:20 And he shall die, 43:21 because thou has not given him warning, 43:24 he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness 43:27 which he hath done shall not be remembered, 43:30 but his blood will I require, where? 43:33 At thine hand. 43:35 Well, they don't want to hear it at work. 43:37 Well, maybe they don't, you need to have respect 43:39 but there's time, you pray about it. 43:41 Lord, where I work, these people need to hear it. 43:43 There's not one of them that know what the truth is, 43:45 God's word is today. 43:47 Lord, help me. 43:49 Open their ears, open their hearts, 43:50 help somebody to ask a question. 43:52 So I don't have to intrude, 43:54 I don't have to have put up a wall, 43:56 but I don't want to see him right here. 43:57 Let God open the door for you and then the time is right, 44:01 He'll put you right through that door. 44:03 He said, if you don't warn, even the righteous man 44:05 because he was righteous, 44:06 and he left, he decided to go to the world. 44:09 He decided to commit iniquity or sin. 44:12 God says you still, you warn him. 44:14 And if you don't warn him 44:15 then I'm going to require your blood. 44:18 Verse 21, "Nevertheless, 44:19 if thou warn the righteous man," 44:21 so what do you do? 44:22 We say you today, I said, how many is righteous, 44:24 most of us probably wouldn't raise our hand 44:25 because we said, if I have any righteousness, 44:27 it's a righteousness of Christ, isn't it? 44:29 We have nothing within ourselves. 44:31 "Nevertheless, if thou warn the righteous man, 44:33 that the righteous sin not, 44:34 and doth not sin, he shall surely live, 44:38 because he is warned, 44:40 also thou hast delivered thy soul." 44:43 So you sit down, you talk to the righteous man, 44:45 okay, well, I won't do right. 44:46 Let's get things together, let's make things right here. 44:48 It's all good with his soul because he's made it right, 44:51 he's confessed his sin, 44:52 and then it's okay with your soul, 44:54 because you've done your job. 44:57 That's pretty plain, is it not in Scripture? 44:59 You can go over and over and you say, 45:01 well, maybe that's okay. 45:03 You're not convinced yet. Ezekiel Chapter 33. 45:06 Right, let's do another one, shall we? 45:07 Ezekiel Chapter 33, 45:09 basically goes over same information right here. 45:12 Notice that I'm going to read verses 45:14 just 6 and 7 more, 45:15 there's a lot more there, but 6 and 7. 45:17 But it starts out, Ezekiel, what? 45:20 33:6 and 7. 45:22 But if the watchman, notice how important this is, 45:25 you may not think it's important. 45:26 Let me tell you, the watchman 45:27 who is not a watchman and not doing 45:29 what God has asked him or her, them, whoever it might be, 45:32 right now, we're going to, 45:34 you're going to pay a heavy price. 45:36 People don't like that kind of talk, 45:38 but you know what? 45:39 It is right now, God said, I set you as a watchman. 45:41 That mean He's going to require something of the watchman. 45:46 He's going to require that we call and or say 45:49 or speak that which He gives. 45:52 So we either think today, well, this is a message 45:55 or any message that you might hear, 45:56 every one that we hear, whether radio, TV, 45:58 wherever it might be. 45:59 This is either from God or it's from the man. 46:04 You have to decide, if it's from God 46:06 then certainly we will want to tweak 46:09 or tune or change. 46:10 If the watchmen see the sword come, 46:13 okay, do we see a sword coming in the land? 46:16 That's just a sign of destruction isn't not in death. 46:18 Okay, I see, I see a sword coming in this country, 46:24 I see that the United States of America will suffer 46:27 probably more than any country of the world 46:29 because we've had the greatest blessings of God. 46:32 We've thrown Him out, we've asked Him to move out, 46:35 we've asked Him to change. 46:36 We don't think He exists anymore, 46:39 most of us in the Christian world. 46:43 Think about that the watchman, the sword is coming, okay? 46:47 If we believe the sword is coming, destruction. 46:50 Now, doesn't that make sense? 46:51 If God has given this country the blessing, 46:54 and it's been blessed more than any country 46:55 in the world, is that true? 46:56 And I'm not trying to be prejudiced 46:58 because I live in the United States of America. 47:00 Buy wife and I, we travel and go to other country, 47:02 we're always so glad, we love it when we're there. 47:04 But we're so glad to get back 47:06 to the United States of America. 47:09 But remember, 47:10 if the United States of America changes, 47:13 we've been over the study, isn't that right? 47:14 It comes up like a lamb but begin to speak as, what? 47:17 The dragon. 47:19 Revelation 12 said the dragon is the devil. 47:23 And we can see 47:25 some of the things in motion right now 47:26 that the devil is having a heyday. 47:29 "I see the sword that's coming." 47:32 But it says, if you see it, Kenny, 47:34 and put your own name in there. 47:36 "And you don't blow the trumpet that people be not warned, 47:40 if the sword come, and take any person 47:42 from among them, 47:44 he is taken away in his iniquity, 47:46 but his blood," what is it again? 47:48 Will I require at the watchman's hand." 47:52 You know, I've often said 47:53 and there's a lot of people have come and gone 47:55 through Behold the Lamb. 47:58 And I know, I know that 48:02 someday I have to give an account 48:05 to every person who's come through that door. 48:09 And that's not a pleasant thought always. 48:14 Because it may have been me that drove them away, 48:16 it may have been someone else, 48:17 it may have been, just didn't want truth, 48:19 what are my, it may be in their own choice, 48:21 but I'm going to have to give an answer to God. 48:27 Just like as mom and dad, you'll have to give an answer 48:29 when God says, 48:31 "Where's that beautiful flock that I gave you?" 48:34 Oh, I was so busy Lord, 48:37 so busy take him here and taking him, 48:38 doing this and doing that, the world, school campus, 48:41 busy and this church came out, 48:43 we have a high, it's not going to work. 48:49 I almost said it'd be nice if it worked. 48:52 But God's ways always the best way. 48:54 I think you understand what I'm trying to say. 48:59 We're those children, 49:04 we look at it now and say God have mercy. 49:07 Things that we could have done, 49:09 the things that we could have said, 49:10 but we can't do it, you can't go back. 49:12 But what you can do is try to encourage 49:15 and give them warning after warning. 49:20 Call them back in even if they refuse 49:23 at least the blood won't be on your hands. 49:30 Verse 7, "So thou, O son of man, 49:33 I have set thee," a what? 49:34 "A watchman in the house of Israel. 49:37 Therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, 49:40 and warn them from," what? 49:46 You are either I am, 49:47 either God spokeman or we're not. 49:50 God says here, I want you to warn them for Me. 49:55 Wow! Man, that's heavy. 50:01 I want you to warn them 50:03 and we say, yeah, God, if we do, 50:04 they're going to get mad. 50:06 Family going to turn against us. 50:09 Nobody wants you around. 50:11 God said, He never, He never addresses any of that. 50:14 He says, Kenny warn them for Me. 50:20 Each one of you please, please put your name in there. 50:27 Warn them for Me. 50:33 God challenges us to be faithful to Him. 50:38 He makes it clear. 50:40 I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked. 50:44 Oh, I mean, you're there in Exodus 33. 50:48 That's just simply verse 11. 50:58 Maybe look up one more passage, 51:00 some of you still not convinced. 51:01 I don't know what's wrong. 51:03 I guess I'm not doing a good job. 51:06 Jeremiah Chapter 6, quickly, 51:09 you notice that different Bible writer, 51:11 if they're saying the same thing, 51:13 you could have a truth here, couldn't you? 51:15 You know what? Jeremiah 6:16-19. 51:21 The Bible says, thus saith the Lord. 51:23 Jeremiah 6:16-19, "Thus saith the Lord, 51:26 stand ye in the way, and see, and ask for the old," what? 51:31 "Ask for the old paths, where is the good way." 51:34 We've got away from the old paths. 51:36 We've got away from that which is good. 51:39 That which we were raised on, 51:40 that which we cut our teeth on this gospel. 51:43 Especially we're talking about 51:44 the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 51:45 we've gotten away, 51:47 things are not the same as it used to be 51:48 when I was growing up. 51:51 Not trying to be critical, not trying to be judgmental, 51:53 but things have changed. 51:55 God said, you need to ask and get back to those old paths 51:58 that you used to go down. 52:01 Those old truth that you once held up so high. 52:05 "See, ask for those old paths, where is the good way, 52:08 and," then do what? 52:09 "Walk therein, and ye shall find," 52:12 anybody looking for rest for the soul? 52:14 I need some rest for the soul. 52:16 Do you ever feel like you need some rest? 52:18 The Bible said, well, okay, 52:19 here it is, ask for the old paths, 52:22 ask for these old truths. 52:24 Get back to the way God set it up. 52:27 And you will find rest for your souls. 52:29 And notice what the people said. 52:31 And here's what they're still saying today. 52:33 We will not walk therein. 52:38 How could they say that what Jeremiah said 52:40 God spoke to him 52:41 and here's what God told him to do. 52:43 And he tell the people this is what God said that 52:45 you art to do. 52:47 And they said, oh, God may have said it, 52:48 but I'm not going to do it. 52:50 There's people just that bold today that I've talked to. 52:55 I have often said, wanna God, whoo, be careful now. 52:57 It doesn't strike them dead. 53:01 Shake their fist up at heaven. 53:02 God, if there is a God, they'll say. 53:05 I've talked to atheists, I've dealt with them. 53:08 People who don't believe and think that 53:10 everything just happens kind of the way it happens. 53:12 And there's no God in heaven and I am not afraid, 53:15 I don't need to talk about no judgment, 53:17 there is no judgment. 53:18 Oh, yes, there is. 53:19 The Bible said there's a judgment, 53:21 we're all going to face the judgment. 53:23 See, there has to be a warning. 53:24 We can't let him say there is not 53:25 and you know that there is on any truth. 53:33 Boy. 53:35 Verse 17, "Also I set watchmen over you, saying," 53:38 what did God say I do? 53:40 God said, I'm going to set a watchman over you. 53:44 So, it'd be nice and again, the watchman needs to be right. 53:46 It's not well, we, we respect 53:48 and we love because He says He's watching. 53:51 You have to earn that based upon, what? 53:53 Reading the Word of God and giving the Word of God 53:56 and giving the warnings of God and loving God and serving God. 54:00 But it says, I'm going to set somebody over you, 54:02 a watchmen over you, because I'm going to reveal 54:05 and He reveals to all of us the same, 54:06 but we have to be studying and praying every day, 54:10 and many are not. 54:12 He said, I want you to hearken to the sound of the trumpet. 54:15 But they said, we will, what? 54:18 Listen to the sound of the trumpet. 54:20 And the people had the audacity 54:23 as it were to look in the face of God's man. 54:26 There, Brian said, I heard what he said, 54:28 but I'm not going to do it. 54:29 Whoo, now, that's bonus. 54:31 God said asked for the old pathway. 54:33 And people said, 54:34 we're not going to ask for the old pathway. 54:36 You know why? 54:37 Because we like the path we're on. 54:38 Whoo, we like what we're doing. 54:40 We love to be like the world and go out with the world 54:41 and do the things the world does. 54:43 And all these things right here which is certainly is death. 54:49 Think about it, it brings eternal death. 54:52 You're here for a season and a short season. 54:55 Should we not give our life to Jesus Christ. 54:57 Verse 19, time's up, notice, 54:59 "Hear, O earth, behold, 55:01 I will bring evil upon this people." 55:02 Why? 55:04 Because they said, we're not going to listen. 55:05 "Even the fruit of their thoughts 55:06 because they have not hearkened to my words, 55:09 nor to my," somebody say, law. 55:12 "My law, but rejected it." 55:14 It's saying about God's commandments in it. 55:16 He says something's going to happen. 55:18 Evil is going to come upon the land, 55:19 because the people have rejected my law. 55:23 And the people are rejecting God's law today. 55:24 You might say, well, I'll take nine of them, 55:26 that's not good enough. 55:30 It's all ten. 55:32 Are we rejecting God's law today? 55:39 Are we following what God says to do? 55:41 Are we going to say I heard the trumpet, 55:43 I've heard the warning, 55:44 but I'm still going to continue to go down 55:46 the same path that I'm going on. 55:48 God have mercy on you and have mercy on me. 55:51 If I hear the trumpet, God help me to change. 55:55 You know how hard it changes, 55:58 it's how big a fight that I put up. 56:01 God can change us. 56:02 He can make us into a new creature. 56:03 Our time is up, 56:05 I just want to have short prayer with you. 56:06 Those who have made decision right now 56:08 that you're going to follow Jesus 56:09 because you've heard a cry. 56:10 Let's pray. 56:12 Father in heaven, thank You for Your precious Word. 56:13 Thank You at midnight there's a cry 56:14 and Lord is going on right now the sword's coming, 56:17 warning is giving, Jesus is coming. 56:19 Help us to make the necessary changes in Jesus' name. 56:21 Amen. 56:23 There's a lot that we've covered, 56:24 and there's a lot that we have not covered. 56:25 So that's just part one.
