00:38 Hello and welcome to Behold the Lamb Presents.
00:41 We are a ministry whose mission it 00:43 is to prepare a people to meet 00:45 their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 00:48 My name is Chris Shelton 00:49 and I want to thank you for joining us today. 00:52 Our message today is entitled 00:54 "Waging A Valiant Warfare Against Sin," part one. 00:58 Like it or not, this is a battle that 01:01 we are all a part of. 01:03 It is a battle of which we have all been born into. 01:07 We often don't realize 01:08 the severity of this spiritual warfare 01:11 until we begin to draw closer 01:14 to our Heavenly Father and see just a bit clearer 01:17 what sin has cost heaven. 01:20 And those of us who dwell on the earth, 01:22 waging a valiant warfare against sin, 01:25 you wouldn't think would be such a struggle 01:28 until you learn just a little bit more 01:30 about the definition of sin 01:32 and how we are often conditioned 01:35 that sin is just simply not so bad. 01:37 So much so that the majority of people 01:40 love their sinful practices. 01:44 Until, praise the Lord, conviction of the Holy Spirit 01:47 begins to mold and reshape their hearts. 01:50 But sadly, once we love 01:52 something that is sinful for so long in our lives, 01:56 it is not always in our power 01:59 or in our own strength to overcome it. 02:02 So what steps has Christ left for each and every one of us? 02:06 What strength is at our disposal? 02:09 And why may we must we take up arms 02:13 and valiantly wage war against sin? 02:16 Stay tuned today as Pastor Kenny Shelton 02:19 addresses these questions and much, much more 02:22 in today's message, 02:24 "Waging A Valiant Warfare Against Sin," 02:28 part one, but first, let's listen and be encouraged 02:31 with a piano rendition of, "God Will Take Care of You" 02:35 by Justin Nehrkorn as we visit 3ABN. 04:36 Thank you for joining us once again 04:38 at Behold the Lamb Ministries. 04:39 We appreciate you so very much. 04:41 Again cards and letters, 04:42 your support, praise God for that. 04:44 We couldn't go on 04:46 and get this message to the whole world. 04:47 Realize we have such an opportunity. 04:49 You may have a small group 04:51 opportunity to go into all the world 04:54 is the gospel commission. 04:55 And God has given us that privilege and opportunity 04:57 and we thank Him so much for that 04:59 and again, thank you for your comments, 05:01 your prayers, and your support. 05:03 Continue to keep it going. 05:04 There's a lot of work yet to be done, 05:06 signs foretell that Jesus is coming. 05:09 And we want to be ready for that. 05:10 We're going to be talking about today 05:12 before we have prayer, 05:13 waging a valiant war against what? 05:16 It's sin. 05:18 Sin is the big issue and how God can help us 05:20 and give us what we need, that we may gain that victory 05:23 and live the life of Jesus Christ. 05:26 That scares a lot of people. 05:27 And I pray that doesn't scare you. 05:29 Right now we're going to pray as we always do. 05:31 Thank you for those of you who say, 05:33 I always pray when you pray. 05:34 When I can, I get on my knees and I pray with you. 05:37 If we're in an automobile 05:39 or whatever, we still pray along, 05:40 and I really thank you for that. 05:41 Nothing could be accomplished without prayer. 05:44 Praise God for that. I'm going to kneel. 05:45 Let's pray together, shall we? 05:48 Loving Father in heaven, 05:49 we thank You again for the privilege of prayer. 05:51 We invite Thy Holy Spirit. 05:52 O Lord, we pray that You would come down in abundance, 05:55 clear our minds and our hearts of all the stuff 05:58 that's happened this week 05:59 and help us to stay close to you. 06:00 May we hear what we need to hear 06:02 that will draw us closer to Jesus, 06:04 that will continue to compel us 06:07 to be ready for the hour 06:08 in which we think not the Son of man shall come. 06:11 Bless us Lord, we pray to this end, 06:12 fill this place with Thy Holy Spirit 06:14 and each and every listener, every watcher, 06:16 we pray to Your honor and Your glory. 06:18 And we know that decisions will be made 06:20 for Thee in Jesus' name, amen. 06:25 Probably should be, not be well for us 06:27 to mention since we are, 06:28 sometime, we're not going to say 06:30 a whole lot about it. 06:31 But we need to realize that 06:33 what the world is going through right now tells us that 06:35 the coming of Jesus is soon, even at the door. 06:38 If things are happening in the world, 06:40 that's unprecedent. 06:42 I mean, it's just going all the way around. 06:44 Things have happened in the last few days that... 06:46 But the last moments will be what? 06:49 We know the last few moments will be rapid one. 06:51 Things are happening so quick right now, 06:53 we can't even, we try to calculate 06:55 what happened yesterday 06:56 and there's more new things today 06:57 that we try to decipher 06:59 as they say to wrap our minds around it almost impossible 07:03 of what's happening and taking place. 07:05 This tells me for sure the things that Bible 07:07 has prophesied are coming to pass. 07:09 And as they are happening, 07:11 we can realize then that even in the future, 07:13 these things will happen so quick, 07:15 if you're not aware of it, they say, make your head swim. 07:18 We don't want that, 07:19 we want to be aware of these things. 07:21 It's unprecedented. 07:23 The shutdown of an activity going around 07:26 the globe right now. 07:28 There's never been anything like this. 07:30 And again, whether it's the beginning of the end, 07:32 only God knows. 07:33 But these are warning, 07:34 these are judgments that are falling, 07:36 that tell us beyond a shadow 07:38 of a doubt that He's coming soon. 07:41 These things come upon the United States so quickly. 07:44 We've seen it several months in other places of the world. 07:46 But here in the United States, 07:48 it seemed like it has just happened so quick 07:50 that we just don't know what to do 07:52 and everybody's criticized and everybody else. 07:55 No one did it right they say, 07:57 but now we're trying to come together for the sake 07:59 because it's costing lives. 08:01 You know, the authorities believe 08:03 that this outbreak can change society for months. 08:08 You know, we would love to think. 08:09 Now again, whether you think that it is, 08:11 we're not trying to debate whether it's real or not, 08:13 who started it and why or just did it happen that 08:16 we live in a world of sin, you know, 08:18 people eating the wrong things, things happening, 08:20 or does somebody throw it out there 08:22 in the air as it were, because people have all kind. 08:25 But you know what? People are dying. 08:28 Good, bad, like people are dying, 08:29 and many are going to Christless graves, 08:32 because they have not accepted Jesus 08:34 as their Lord and Savior. 08:35 They have no idea because 08:37 you're not hearing it in the churches as it were. 08:40 There's not any trumpets being sounded as it were. 08:42 There's not any alarms, 08:44 there's not a sound of an emergency. 08:46 You're like me, if you're going down the road, 08:48 and you hear a, you know, 08:51 an ambulance coming or whatever that siren, 08:53 all of a sudden, it kind of makes your heart beat 08:55 a little bit faster, doesn't it? 08:57 If you've ever been in one, 08:58 you might relate a little bit more and you think, 08:59 "Ooh, what's going on? 09:01 What's going on?" Something is going on here. 09:04 Remember, this can change society or listen, 09:07 this can change the world 09:09 and it can never go back the way that it was. 09:12 Did we see that 9/11? Come on, somebody. 09:15 In 9/11, it changed the world that we live in that 09:18 I was used to, 09:20 that I've been around for a while. 09:22 I was used to that, and it's changed drastically. 09:25 And I say just happened, like, oh, it's all changed. 09:27 And so it's nothing 09:29 for our legislators to pass laws 09:31 and regulations and rules, 09:33 if they think it's best for this country, 09:35 and they will say is to protect you 09:37 and to protect me and some, 09:39 my, some laws certainly have been changed here. 09:42 President Trump himself 09:44 proclaimed a national emergency, 09:46 which it seems good on the surface, 09:49 absolutely, because it opens up what? 09:51 Resources, lot more resources 09:54 to help in this situation, praise God. 09:57 And just to hit it on the head, not going to law of detail. 09:59 Many schools are closed 10:01 into the millions and millions of students, 10:04 my, we think about it. 10:06 Sporting events of every kind has been cancelled, 10:10 which you probably have never lived in that time before. 10:13 I'm talking about millions, billions of dollars 10:16 are being lost because people think 10:19 whether it's or not, they think that 10:21 this could spread and we see it spreading 10:23 to where people are gathered together. 10:25 I wonder if that's why maybe we have a message 10:27 to give to the world, that it's time we come, 10:30 ooh, out of the cities 10:32 and began to get in secluded place, 10:34 don't you believe? 10:35 Living together is what? 10:37 See, this is telling us that 10:38 we're right on, we're on target. 10:40 We're on track right now. 10:42 Because we've been saying this for years and years 10:44 that we need to get away as it were 10:46 because of the colds and the disease 10:49 and different things that, 10:50 that's catchy when you stay close to one another. 10:54 And so, with all of these things 10:56 that are shutting down right now, 10:58 and then we find a panic. 11:00 There's a panic going on for buying goods at the store. 11:05 And when you get there, 11:07 the store shelves, many of them are empty. 11:10 Many of the store shelves, it's a panic situation. 11:14 Stock market fell, my, record levels. 11:19 What is God telling you? 11:21 He's saying you can't own your money, 11:23 you better count something else. 11:25 It could be gone. 11:27 Many people are losing 11:28 and they lost in 2008 you remember, 11:31 you know, of their retirement. 11:33 They had it all put back, you know, 11:35 and all of sudden they lost 50%, 11:36 some are 100%. 11:38 God's saying, "Don't count on the banks." 11:40 Don't count on it 11:41 because the Bible in the Book of James predicts 11:43 an economic fall. 11:45 There's no doubt about it. It predicts it. 11:48 Now do we want to talk about that? 11:49 No. Do we want to hear about that? 11:51 No. But you know what? 11:52 Head out of the sand and up, 11:54 what did Jesus say when you see these things 11:56 come to pass, do what? 11:57 Lift up your head because your redemption draweth nigh. 12:02 You know, how nice to be to get in 12:03 and do little things in the pulpit 12:05 and talk about all the good things 12:06 that are happening in the world. 12:07 We need to talk about these things 12:09 because it's very prevalent to God's last day people 12:12 who have ears to hear. 12:14 If you don't have ears to hear, you're going to laugh out, 12:15 you're going to go on, 12:17 you're going to try to downplay it. 12:18 If I was you, I would not do that. 12:20 We may see in the next week or two how bad things 12:23 can really get before they get better 12:25 if God so sees fit for that. 12:28 Thousands of cases, you know, 12:30 what, 2,100 more, you know, in United States here. 12:35 In every, almost every state 12:36 somehow is involved, deaths, you know. 12:40 One man say, "Normalcy to be normal is a word 12:43 we may not hear again." 12:46 We may not hear that again. 12:49 And what has replaced that 12:51 which is normal is fear and uncertainty. 12:56 We're facing those things right now 12:57 against, you're saying, well, it's all peace 12:58 and all is well and all is wonderful. 13:01 Governor Cuomo, 13:02 now what he knows about it from New York? 13:04 What he does or what he doesn't, 13:06 I'm not going to say whether he does or not 13:08 what my opinion is, but he did make a statement 13:10 where he said, "You know what? 13:12 This thing could last." And what does he know about it? 13:15 He said, "But this thing 13:16 could last at least six to nine months or more." 13:22 That's quite a time, isn't it? 13:25 Numerous states have banned gatherings, 13:29 have they not? 13:30 Yes, some consider, listen, 13:31 if it's over 100 people, uh-uh, we don't want that. 13:35 That's considered large. 13:37 If it's 35 or less right here, they say if you come together, 13:42 keep your distance of at least six feet. 13:45 Well, already most of those blew that one, didn't we? 13:49 Yeah, that's why all the sports 13:51 and all the stuff is going on from, you know, 13:53 with the basketball and the football, 13:55 whatever it might be as it comes around 13:56 in our practices and baseball right now. 13:59 Spring training is cancelled. 14:00 Again, we're talking about 14:02 millions and millions of dollars are on the line. 14:03 And when you think it might get bad, 14:05 when you cancel the Broadway. 14:08 You see, Hollywood then, just something's going on. 14:11 When you cancel and close down Disney World, 14:13 something is going on that people are afraid of. 14:17 But interesting in Louisiana, right? 14:20 The night life continues on. 14:23 Churches are supposed to close down 14:25 and not be gathered together. 14:27 But the night life of drinking and dancing 14:29 and carousing is still going on. 14:31 Kind of interesting, isn't it? 14:34 In Italy, we know that there's many, many people, 14:36 hundreds and hundreds have died. 14:38 Doctors they say in one article 14:40 are making choices, whether people live or die. 14:46 Human beings have to make a decision, 14:49 who's going to live and who's going to die, 14:50 who they can treat 14:52 because there are so many pandemics, 14:55 we understand is changing and it's changing our lives. 15:01 And again, that's just touching that we talked about 15:03 the front of the iceberg as it were, 15:07 the things that are going on in the world 15:09 and more you read about it more I think it should say, 15:11 I know that Jesus is coming. 15:14 When you have a topic like 15:16 waging a valiant war against sin, 15:18 a lot of people say there's no such thing as war. 15:21 We just sit back and we relax, 15:22 and God's going to take care of everything, 15:24 we don't have to worry about anything because well, 15:26 we gave our life to Christ a long time ago. 15:29 I just would challenge each one of you today, 15:31 I'm going to go over, 15:33 I don't know, eight or ten texts. 15:34 And just quickly, 15:35 just a few words of those texts, 15:37 and so you're not able to look them all up, 15:38 but maybe you can jot them down 15:40 and see what the Bible has to say 15:42 about our condition as a people and what God expects of us, 15:48 what's going to take place 15:50 1 Corinthians 1:25, 15:55 the Bible simply says, 15:56 "And every man that striveth 15:59 for the mastery is tempered in" what? 16:02 Now notice what it says. Everyone who is what? 16:05 Striving for what? 16:07 Could I change a word here not trying to make it? 16:09 Anyone who's striving for heaven, isn't that right? 16:11 For mastery to win the victory over the enemy, 16:14 he's going to have to strive. 16:16 That doesn't sound like you sit back in a recliner 16:18 and just relax and say, God's done it all for me. 16:20 I don't have to do anything. 16:22 Well, praise God for Calvary. Praise God. 16:24 He has done it, right? 16:25 But He expects us to do something about it. 16:27 Paul speaks about over and over that 16:29 we have to strive to enter in the gate. 16:33 1 Peter 2:11, the Bible says, 16:37 "We are to abstain 16:39 from all like fleshly lusts which," 16:42 notice the word, "which war against the soul." 16:46 What does it do? 16:47 These fleshly things right, 16:49 things we see out in the world right here. 16:51 They war against the soul. 16:54 So we are in a warfare 16:56 and it's a tremendous rough warfare 16:58 and only those who gain the victory 17:00 in this warfare is going to, 17:02 heaven is going to be their home. 17:03 If you just sit back and do nothing, 17:05 I'm afraid it's not going to be too late. 17:07 We're not going to make it to the kingdom. 17:09 2 Timothy 4:7. I love this. 17:12 I've always loved this passage of Paul, 17:15 when he said as he came down to the end of his life, 17:18 1 Timothy 4 or 2 Timothy 4:7, 17:20 he said, "I have fought a good fight." 17:26 Did you get that? What did he say? 17:28 "I have fought a good fight." 17:30 The Christian is expected to fight a good fight of faith. 17:36 Your fight, there's things 17:38 that you can do that God expects you to do. 17:40 Yes, He's done all as far as, you know, getting to heaven. 17:43 Praise God for Calvary. 17:44 Praise God for the blood, but He expects you to fight, 17:47 we fight and we'll see that a little later as we go on, 17:49 how we are to fight as Christians. 17:51 But he said, "I fought a good fight." 17:54 I'd love to be able to say that 17:56 with good conscience at the end of my life. 18:00 I would love to be able to say and feel good about, 18:02 I've fought a good fight. 18:05 Certainly there was always more that you could do 18:07 or maybe we should have done, but I fought a good fight. 18:10 And Paul certainly fought it. 1 Timothy 6:12. 18:13 He says there in 1 Timothy 6:12, 18:16 he said, "We are to fight the good fight of" what? 18:20 "Faith." What is our object? 18:21 Our object is to say there that we need to strive 18:23 and we're going to have to abstain, 18:24 and we're going to have to fight. 18:27 And we're going to have to say at the end, 18:28 I've fought a good fight. 18:30 Hebrews 10:32, it says 18:32 "Ye endured a great fight of affliction." 18:36 Saying God's people may have to go through what? 18:39 Affliction and hard times and this end result of 18:42 every one of those deals that simply says here, 18:44 we have, we've endured it by the grace of God. 18:47 We've had to go through it by the grace of God, 18:50 not getting away 18:51 from here or don't have to go through it 18:53 or raptured away, 18:54 but we're going to go through it 18:56 what the Bible said here. 18:57 Mark 13:13, I love this 19:00 because it says that in Mark 13:13, 19:03 "He that endure unto the end, 19:08 the same shall be saved." 19:10 If you want to be saved in God's kingdom, 19:12 you have to what? 19:14 You've got to endure this mess that we're in. 19:16 We are in a mess, whether you want to admit it 19:19 or whether you don't want to admit it, 19:21 and it is the beginning of the end. 19:25 I mean, how much plainer does it need to be, 19:27 it's the beginning of the end, 19:28 and we must endure unto the end. 19:30 Why? 19:32 The furnace of affliction is being turned up, 19:34 the heat's being turned up. 19:35 Why in this world that we have to go through 19:37 some of these things that we're going through, 19:39 you know why? 19:40 Because as a people, we are not ready. 19:42 Is that fair? We're not really ready. 19:46 We say, "Oh, we're ready. Well, I know who Jesus is." 19:49 You've got to know Him better. 19:50 You got to know better about Christ, then say, 19:52 "Well, I know who He is." 19:54 When God said, "I'll make it to heaven," 19:55 because, well, I know there's another power, 19:57 I know there's a higher power and He knows me 19:59 and He's going to take me, it's more than this. 20:02 It's much more than this. 20:03 You're talking about a relationship with Christ. 20:06 He that endures unto the end, the same will be saved. 20:10 He who goes through that. 20:12 Remember, as we're going through 20:13 these tests and these trials, 20:14 God is allowing the impurities in our life to be taken out. 20:19 This is our opportunity. 20:20 Think about it in your own life. 20:23 Think about maybe what's happened this week. 20:25 Oh, you lost your temper. 20:28 You said something you shouldn't have said. 20:29 You used some language you shouldn't have used. 20:31 You looked at something you know as a Christian 20:33 you shouldn't be looking at. 20:34 You listen to some things that you shouldn't be listening to, 20:37 because it made you think and do other things. 20:41 Think of those things, 20:42 that's not going to happen in heaven. 20:44 And here is the proving grounds, 20:46 can we say that? 20:47 This is the proving grounds right now for heaven. 20:50 And Jesus made the statement. He said, you know what? 20:52 "I want this mind to be in you which was also" what?" 20:54 In Christ Jesus." 20:56 These things that we've heard all of our life, 20:57 but He meant it. 20:59 It's not just go along ho-hum, have fun, da-da, da-da. 21:02 He said, I want this mind, I want you to have my mind 21:05 because if you have my mind, then you'll think like I do, 21:07 rather than thinking like 21:09 the world thinks and the way the world acts. 21:11 Remember if you're doing what the world is doing, 21:13 and you're thinking like the world is thinking, 21:15 you know, heaven's not, 21:16 I'm going to say heaven's not going to be your home. 21:18 It's not going to be my home. It's got to be different. 21:21 We live in a time when for Pete's sake 21:23 when will God's people get serious? 21:26 Is it okay to say that? 21:28 I get carried away sometime. You know what? 21:31 It's almost as if, God help me. 21:32 It's a frustration to a certain point, 21:35 because I see the end is nearing 21:36 and what are we as God's people doing about it? 21:39 I'm talking about my own life, not everybody else. 21:41 There's changes that's got to be made. 21:44 And when will we make those rather than to put them off 21:46 and put them off if you enduring to the end? 21:49 If you go through the furnace of affliction, 21:51 and you make it through as it were the lions' den. 21:54 If you make it through that fiery furnace, 21:56 how will you come out? 21:58 You're going to come out ready and prepared and perfected 22:00 by the grace of God. 22:01 But we've got to go through these things, 22:03 the impurities God says, got to go. 22:05 2 Timothy 3:11, what persecutions, 22:10 Paul said this, he said, 22:11 what persecutions in 2 Timothy 3:11, I endured." 22:16 What persecutions I endured?" No one likes persecution. 22:20 No one likes to be ridiculed. No one likes to be picked on. 22:23 Are we still here, church? 22:25 No one likes to go through that. 22:26 No one wants to hear that. 22:27 But Paul said at the end of his journey, 22:29 "Oh, what persecutions I went through." 22:32 Interesting and the Christian Church says what? 22:34 Well, you don't have to go through those persecution. 22:35 You wouldn't have to go through the rough time. 22:37 Paul did. 22:38 And a man of God, there's no doubt about it. 22:40 Paul is going to come in my opinion 22:41 in the first resurrection. 22:43 He's going to have eternal life. 22:44 He's going to spend eternity with God, 22:46 the angels in heaven. 22:48 He's got it made. 22:49 But man, you look at what he went through on this earth. 22:52 Oh, how many of us could endured unto the end? 22:55 How many could say, I fought a good fight? 22:57 How many can say, I was beaten 22:59 and I was shipwrecked and I was thrown in prison? 23:01 When he come to the end of his life, Paul could say, 23:03 "I have stayed, stood fast for Jesus Christ, 23:07 regardless of what the world threw me, 23:10 through the grace of Christ, I come across 23:12 more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ." 23:14 One more, 1 Corinthians 13:7, 23:20 "Hopeth all things, and endureth all things." 23:22 The Christian is to hope what? Hope all thing. 23:25 We had this hope in Christ Jesus. 23:28 You hope with all things and then you endure all things. 23:32 So if you think you're going through something 23:33 that somebody else has not went through, 23:35 you need to think again. 23:36 Many, many people's going through 23:38 what you have and what I have 23:39 and a whole lot worse. 23:41 But you know what? 23:42 Time will tell as we near the coming of Jesus. 23:45 Do you think there's war? 23:46 Do you think we have to have a valiant warfare against sin? 23:50 Absolutely, we do. You know why? 23:52 Let me just end with this part with this. 23:54 Revelation 12:7-9, 24:00 I'll just give you a couple lines, 24:02 you read it for yourself. 24:03 The Bible says, do you like that? 24:06 The Bible says, there was war where? 24:10 There was war in heaven. 24:12 We think we're not going to have 24:13 a warfare down here? 24:14 Well, absolutely. 24:16 The Bible said there was war in heaven. 24:17 Michael and his angels fought. Did you get that? 24:19 They fought the dragon and his angels, 24:22 the devil fought and his angels and notice this, 24:24 they were cast out to the earth. 24:27 These things that you've read so often, 24:29 but put them together. 24:31 War in heaven. Why? 24:33 War of obedience and disobedience 24:35 and love for God. 24:37 God's character was challenged. 24:40 So when you hear this message of the last day, 24:42 that we're in the judgment, we're in His judgment hour, 24:45 we have to realize that judgment is not just for us, 24:47 that judgment of God, 24:49 in Christ character there, isn't that right? 24:52 It's about their character has been challenged. 24:57 It's all about who they are and devil says they're not. 25:02 War in heaven and they were cast out. 25:04 So we realized they were cast out, 25:07 they were cast out to this earth 25:08 so if the war was there, 25:10 he couldn't win it in there so he's cast out here. 25:12 He's going to continue a warfare against God's people, 25:16 waging a valiant warfare against sin. 25:18 Pick three words out of them. 25:20 I'm gonna pick three words out 25:21 and notice what it is, valiant, warfare and sin. 25:25 Now, let's break it down just a little bit. 25:27 Valiant means that 25:29 it's something that's strong, he was valiant. 25:32 He was strong. He was what? 25:34 He was brave. He was courageous. 25:38 God's looking for courageous men and women 25:40 and young people today, old people too. 25:43 He's looking for courageous people. 25:45 He's looking for brave people who dare to be different 25:48 in this mess of a world that we live in. 25:51 You dare to say grace when you're out buying a meal. 25:54 You dare to say praise the Lord when you hear something. 25:57 You dare to say, well, I go to church on the Sabbath, 25:59 and not be hiding around about it. 26:01 You dare to stand for what Jesus says that 26:03 we need to stand for in His Word. 26:05 So we're strong and brave and courageous. 26:07 Notice it, valiant warfare. 26:11 That's the action of waging war, 26:14 conflict of any kind. 26:16 So God says His people are courageous and bold. 26:18 There's going to be waging war against the enemy. 26:22 We're not going to just sit back and take it from him. 26:25 Did you get it? 26:26 I'm talking about he's on the attack. 26:28 We need to attack the enemy with the Word of God. 26:31 Remember that, not just on what? 26:32 We talked about defense that we have to be what? 26:35 We talk offense, right? 26:37 When you play any kind of sport, 26:38 you don't sit back and just take 26:40 whatever the guy's got to do. 26:41 If you're playing ping pong, 26:42 you've got to be able to go and attack back to him 26:44 so he's just not smashing. 26:45 Okay, you got that one. Warfare, right? 26:49 And then sin. 26:51 Interesting if you go to Webster's dictionary first, 26:54 you go to Webster dictionary about sin. 26:57 It says there, 26:58 "It is the breaking of the moral law 27:01 or of a moral law." 27:02 Did you get it? 27:04 Even the dictionary said it's the breaking of what? 27:06 Of a moral law. 27:08 Now what we want to do is go to the Word of God 27:10 and find a definition of what sin is. 27:13 Because we are waging a value warfare against what? 27:17 Sin. 27:19 In 1 John 3:4, 27:24 "Whosoever committeth sin," 27:29 that means anybody who commits a sin 27:32 "transgresseth also the law." 27:35 Interesting, people are saying what? 27:36 Law is done away with. 27:38 In Romans it says, 27:39 "Where there is no law, there is no sin." 27:41 So if there is no law, if it's been done away with, 27:43 if one's gone from it or whatever, 27:45 we like nine we don't like ten, something is wrong. 27:47 You're not getting up? You know what? 27:49 You hardly ever, I just got to stop with that. 27:51 You just cannot hardly go in any church and listen, 27:54 that pastors will not read that from other churches. 27:57 They will not read that 27:59 because all of a sudden, they're catching it. 28:01 Sin, the Bible said is the transgression of what? 28:05 God's law. 28:07 Transgressing, you break one, 28:08 you break all, James 2:10 and so on, yes. 28:10 Notice, that's the definition. 28:12 So regardless of what this group says, 28:14 or what that group says, 28:15 or even the dictionary says, right, 28:18 Webster's, God said that, 28:19 "Whosoever sin, you transgress the law, 28:23 for sin is the transgression of God's law 28:26 in any form or fashion." 28:28 And then we know this, because when we're waging a war 28:32 right now against sin, 28:33 or we should be as God's people. 28:35 We realize that the wages of sin is death. 28:40 Have you read that in Scripture? 28:42 Where have you read that? 28:44 You remember in the Book of Romans? 28:46 Good Romans 6:23. 28:48 Romans 6:23, it says, "The wages of sin is death, 28:53 but we know the gift of God is eternal life." 28:55 And I praise God for that. 28:57 So we realize here the whole issue 28:59 started in heaven and coming down here 29:01 is dealing with what? 29:03 God's law. 29:04 Transcript of God's character that the enemy challenges, 29:08 you say know what? 29:09 The devil started this almost said baloney again. 29:14 Can I say that? 29:15 That's a French word for I don't know what it did. 29:17 So what they tell me? This stuff. 29:20 He started the stuff that we cannot obey God's laws. 29:25 And now what? 29:26 It worked in heaven, 29:27 and now so he brings it down here 29:29 and tell the majority of the world, 29:30 well, we can't keep God's laws, my, we can't keep God's law. 29:33 By the grace of God, 29:35 right by His strength and His power, 29:36 because Jesus is my example 29:38 and did he or did he not keep the law? 29:42 Did Jesus? He was perfect. 29:45 He didn't break the law and even in thought, 29:49 and He was fully human and fully what? 29:52 Fully divine. Yes, He was. 29:54 But He separated those two. 29:56 He won the fight against the devil 29:58 in the flesh as it were. 30:01 So He has nothing that you and I can't have. 30:04 But he won that to say he, 30:06 you can do it if our mind is stayed upon Christ. 30:08 The reason that we're not, many times we're weak 30:10 and so vacillating that we don't want to fight. 30:14 We don't want to wage war. 30:15 We just want to give in 30:16 and do whatever we think we want to do, 30:18 that we might get away with. 30:19 Sin is transgression the Bible says of God's law. 30:23 In the Book of Ephesians, 30:25 you want to turn there quickly with me. 30:26 The Book of Ephesians Chapter 6, 30:28 I'm gonna just read two verses. 30:29 Ephesians 6:12 and 13. 30:33 Ephesians Chapter 6, good, verses what? 30:37 12 and 13, are we there? 30:39 The Bible says, 30:40 "For we wrestle not against" what? 30:42 "Flesh and blood, but against principalities 30:44 and against powers, and what? 30:46 "Against, there good, rulers of darkness of this world, 30:49 against spiritual wickedness in high places." 30:53 This just tells us that 30:54 we are going to be in a battle for our very life, 30:58 not just here, but for eternity. 31:01 I mean, think about what a pathetic, 31:04 we could say a joke that would be 31:05 if there was nothing beyond this, 31:07 just to come in this world 31:09 live this mess that we're living in right now 31:11 and pass away and there's nothing after this. 31:15 I wouldn't like that at all, would you? 31:17 There's got to be something on because of all the mess 31:19 and the warfare and the stuff that's going on. 31:22 And Jesus telling us that, Kenny, don't you realize, 31:24 you're wrestling against, you're fighting against, right? 31:27 Not, it's not against flesh and blood, but it's spiritual. 31:31 It's the enemy, right? 31:34 The Devil, Satan and his angels, 31:37 and against powers, 31:38 that there's no way that we can outdo them on our own. 31:42 Did we get it? 31:44 There's no way that you can beat 31:45 the enemy on your own. 31:47 There's no way I can beat him on my own. 31:49 So he's telling you, its principalities and powers 31:51 is way too high for you as human beings. 31:54 You're going to need some outside help. 31:56 Verse 13, notice what it says, 31:59 "Wherefore taken to you the whole armor of God 32:03 that you may be able to withstand," what? 32:07 "In that evil day." 32:08 Could we say that we are in an evil day? 32:12 How many believe that? 32:15 I believe that we are in an evil day. 32:17 In fact, I believe the days are more evil 32:19 than they've ever been in this world. 32:21 Because we realized as it was in the days of Noah 32:23 so shall it be when the Son of man cometh. 32:25 They were doing all kind of things. 32:27 Now we're doing even worse things, 32:29 because we have somewhat same men, 32:32 people in legislative position that are passing laws 32:35 that are against Scripture. 32:37 Do you see it? And they claim to be normal. 32:39 Oh, well, we don't do these kinds of things. 32:40 But we think you should be able to do that. 32:42 God said in His Word, no. 32:44 What God has said in His Word, He means no, 32:47 and it is a matter of obedience, disobedience. 32:52 Whether we liked it, admit it or not. 32:54 Excuse me, most people don't want to admit it. 32:56 When you say the word obedience, 32:58 it just turns them off. 33:00 But isn't that what you read 33:01 if you're a reader of Scripture? 33:03 From the beginning to the end 33:05 is simply those who will be obedient. 33:08 Israel over and over and over God said, 33:10 "If you would just obey My," I think He said with tears, 33:14 "If you would just obey My voice." 33:16 In other words, if you will just do, 33:17 more than just talking and say I'm a Christian, 33:20 there has to be some outward things, right? 33:22 There's fruit. 33:24 What kind of fruit are we producing 33:25 as a tree of God? 33:26 What are we producing? 33:28 It will tell whether you are a follower of 33:29 Jesus Christ or you are not. 33:32 The Bible said we are in this, notice this, 33:34 "Withstand the evil day having" what? 33:36 "Done," I like this, "all to stand." 33:42 Have we think about, ask yourself this. 33:46 Have we done all to stand? 33:49 Have we done all to stand? 33:52 Remember the Bible said to him 33:53 that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, 33:56 to him it is sin. 33:59 Penalty of sin, right? Is death. 34:03 To him that knoweth to do good. 34:05 So if you know, and then you refuse, 34:08 that's called sin. 34:10 And if we die at that point in time 34:12 that sin goes against us, 34:14 the transgression of God's law. 34:16 This is heavy duty stuff 34:17 because there's a battle to be waged, 34:19 and God wants to help you and me. 34:22 He wants to help us, praise God for that. 34:24 He wants to do something good for us. 34:27 Manuscript 32, time's going on quickly here. 34:29 This is written in 1900. 34:32 Manuscript 32, 1900. 34:35 It says this because again, warfare, battle is going on, 34:38 the devil is battling and fighting for you every day. 34:41 You say, why in this world am I going through 34:43 what I'm going through? 34:45 God is allowing it because 34:46 He wants heaven to be your home, 34:48 and there's things in your life, 34:49 in my life that needs to go. 34:52 Is that good? 34:54 There's things that need to go and we realize 34:56 these tests and trials are God's little workman 35:00 to help purify us and perfect us for heaven. 35:03 That's why Paul said, 35:05 "Rejoice in trials and tribulations." 35:07 Man, I find it difficult when things not going my way, 35:11 okay, to rejoice and be glad, 35:15 rather than to say He's still working on me. 35:19 He wants these things out of my life. 35:21 He's allowing this to happen. 35:23 Remember, if I always get my way, 35:25 my character will never be tested. 35:28 Your character is tested when you do not get your way. 35:32 Well, all right, this is what I wanted to do, 35:35 and they didn't want to do it. 35:36 Well, fully with him. 35:38 It's okay to say that, Howard, can I say fully? 35:41 Thank you. 35:44 That's why people get on to me, I can't help myself. 35:49 Think about it. This is the battle. 35:54 Your character is challenged, 35:56 just like watch from a baby on up. 35:59 You can see it this morning, isn't that right? 36:02 When I want to lift baby out of the... 36:07 When mama goes to lift him out. 36:11 They're already doing what? 36:13 I'm telling you, they have likes and dislikes 36:15 and if they don't get their way, 36:17 they're going to let you know about it. 36:19 But you realize what we're told 36:21 as soon as that character comes across, 36:23 we are to start to change it. 36:26 You say, change it when the little what? 36:28 Because they've already got that inside, 36:30 their nature is already there. 36:32 They already have their likes and dislikes. 36:35 Okay, another subject, right? 36:41 If the curtain, Manuscript 32, 1900, 36:46 "If the curtain could be rolled back." 36:47 What curtain is it talking about here? 36:51 Like what's going on in the world? 36:53 You see, God is so good to us, He has a shield on it. 36:57 Are you still there? 36:58 He's not letting us see all that's going on 36:59 behind the scenes. 37:01 There's a lot of dirty stuff going on in the world today. 37:03 There's a lot of dirty stuff 37:05 going on in the high up of the church. 37:06 There's a lot of dirty stuff going on 37:08 in your Congress. 37:09 There's a lot of dirty stuff going on behind the scenes 37:11 right now and plans at the Vatican. 37:14 Just all of it, 37:15 that is to throw it all together 37:17 if you don't care. 37:18 There's some bad things going on. 37:19 God in His mercy is shielding us 37:21 to a certain extent from this stuff. 37:23 But He's bringing it out a little bit at a time, 37:25 because He knows we can't take it all at once. 37:27 We just can't take it. Why? 37:29 Maybe because we're not really fortified 37:31 and reborn again the way we should be, 37:34 to where we can take when disaster hits. 37:38 When we know that our Redeemer liveth. 37:41 When we have such a relationship with Him, 37:43 that we may weep over something 37:45 but we still have faith to believe that all things 37:48 work together for good rather than just say it, 37:51 why is it, why don't we live it? 37:53 By the grace of God help us to live it. 37:56 This is what it's all about. 37:59 If that curtain could be rolled back, 38:04 that protection that God has around us, notice, 38:07 "We would see that the armies of heaven 38:10 are in continual warfare 38:13 with satanic agencies." 38:16 Somebody needs to shout. 38:18 See, I feel like shouting because you know why? 38:20 Because the enemy 38:22 and his evil angels are too big for me. 38:26 They're too strong for me. 38:27 They're too smart for me in the human flesh, 38:30 but not for Jesus. 38:31 He's already defeated them, right? 38:33 And God wants and throw him out. 38:35 And He's limited them. 38:38 He could tell the whole host of the evil angels 38:41 and Devil himself, 38:42 remember it, go stand in the corner 38:44 and stay there till I count to 10. 38:48 Could He not? 38:50 If He wanted to, I'm doing it very simple for us here. 38:52 Why? Because God is so powerful. 38:54 Christ is so powerful. 38:56 They've already defeated the enemy. 38:57 We know he's defeated at the cross 38:59 but the enemy says no. 39:00 But notice, every day there's these gigantic battles 39:03 that are going on. 39:05 There is a, notice, a continual warfare going on. 39:09 What do you think it is they're fighting 39:10 to who's going to be boss? 39:11 No, it's fighting over you and me. 39:15 It's not who's going to run what. 39:16 The devil's already showing what he's going to run. 39:19 He already knows what's going to happen to him. 39:22 He calls himself the prince of this world, he's really not. 39:25 At one time he was a prince because what? 39:27 Everybody gave in to him. 39:29 He said, "The world's mine." Christ came and won it back. 39:31 Praise God. 39:33 So the battle is going on, because God's looking down 39:36 and He's seeing you, and you, and you, and you, and me, 39:38 that the enemy is just too big and too strong. 39:41 I'm not trying to give him praise, 39:42 it's just a fact. 39:43 And I need help and we need to realize that 39:45 we need help. 39:49 We cannot defeat him on our own. 39:52 Remember, after Satan, 39:54 and these evil angels were cast out of heaven. 39:57 What did the enemy do? 39:59 That their words about people 40:00 don't like and that was too bad. 40:03 They don't like the word confederacy. 40:05 The devil, Lucifer and his angels formed a what? 40:10 Say confederacy, I'll get happy, 40:12 a confederacy that just simply mean 40:14 a uniting together of some group 40:16 for a common purpose. 40:19 Like we see happening behind the scenes today, 40:22 in our government and a lot of other things 40:23 there are confederacies that are going on. 40:26 There's meetings going on, 40:28 there're secret things that are going on. 40:30 But God said, "They will come to light 40:32 and God is watching everyone, 40:33 and God has an answer for every one of these things." 40:36 See, I'm thankful and grateful that 40:37 God sees everything and He knows it. 40:39 He has an answer for everything in your life 40:41 that you need for a victory in my life. 40:43 He sees everything going on in the world, 40:45 and God has an answer for everything. 40:46 God's taking things that are bad, 40:48 and He's turning them around 40:50 and making something good, is He not? 40:52 Because He's in control, 40:54 because this great battle is going on. 40:56 But notice this, what they did? 40:58 They formed a confederacy or the devil said to me, 41:00 look at here, we were thrown out, 41:01 no doubt, he said that was so unfair. 41:04 We shouldn't have been thrown out. 41:05 The other ones should have been thrown out. 41:07 Look, we're cast out here. But what did he say? 41:08 Let's all join together here? 41:11 We can do more damage if we all band together. 41:14 How many times have you heard that? 41:15 A lot of times, is it right? 41:17 There's two or three will say, "Well, let's band together 41:18 because man will have more power together. 41:20 When we vote, it's going to make a difference." 41:24 And so the devil says, "Okay, let's do all we can. 41:27 And let's do everything that 41:28 we possibly can to mankind." 41:34 Now why? 41:36 He already knows he's smarter, 41:37 and bigger, and more powerful than we are. 41:42 But he said, "Wait, let's do everything 41:43 we can to tear man apart, 41:46 everything evil that we can think of, 41:48 we're going to throw at him." 41:51 Why? 41:53 I think a simple answer would simply be 41:55 as this is the devil's only means at striking God. 42:01 Did you get it? 42:03 This is the only means that Satan has to strike God. 42:07 Why? Because what is it? 42:09 Zachariah? Zachariah? 42:11 Come on somebody, Zachariah 2:8, isn't it says, 42:14 because when you do what? 42:16 He said, "You are the apple of my eye." 42:22 And when you strike the apple of your eye, 42:24 you're striking God. 42:26 And so he says, the devil says, "We'll strike God. 42:29 We'll get Him," because of this love 42:32 that He has for humanity, for these evil... 42:39 no good. 42:42 Yeah. 42:44 But Jesus said, he has the love but I don't understand, 42:46 they can't understand that 42:48 because spiritual things are spiritually discerned. 42:50 But he's saying, "Well, this got to change. 42:53 We're going to strike God, we're going to beat Him." 42:58 Just like sometime people 42:59 when they want to get even with you, 43:02 they may not pick on you, 43:04 they'll pick on the ones you love. 43:06 Come on somebody. 43:08 The ones that are closest to you 43:09 because it hurts you more 43:13 if you see bad things happen to somebody then you love, 43:15 than it may be if it happened to you. 43:20 Yeah, that all came from the enemy, didn't it? 43:22 Well, let's... 43:24 So what we read in Ephesians 6:12 and 13 43:27 says there is a real battle that's going on for the soul. 43:32 It's going to take a real battle 43:33 and there's going to be a winner 43:35 and there's going to be a loser. 43:37 I don't like to be loser. How about you? 43:41 Anybody here like to be a loser? 43:44 Well, I'm glad no one raised their hand. 43:46 My, my, my, no. 43:48 Even in things of this world, we don't want to lose. 43:51 I don't care what it is. 43:55 There's a lot of things that we don't get involved with 43:56 because we didn't want to lose. 44:01 The 250-pound weightlifter come up 44:03 and says he wants to Indian wrestle me. 44:08 I think I'm smarter than to take him on. 44:12 He can break your arm. You know what I'm talking. 44:17 The Bible says, "Kenny, 44:20 put on the whole armor of God." 44:24 Think about it, put on the whole armor of God. 44:26 You realize you don't have any armor of your own. 44:30 You have nothing in which to deflect the enemy off of you. 44:34 When he attacks you without this armor, 44:36 you can't stand it, you can't take it. 44:37 Why? 44:39 Number one when he attacks you, 44:40 he doesn't want to give you a black eye 44:42 as it where, he wants to kill you. 44:44 Is that true? 44:46 In other words, you're only here 44:48 because of God's grace. 44:49 I'm only here because of God's grace 44:51 because if you profess Jesus Christ, 44:53 the devil hates you. 44:55 You're the apple, what? Again, of His eye. 44:59 By God's grace, you're here every day, 45:00 we say thank You, Lord that I get up this morning 45:03 I live, I move, I have my being, 45:04 it's all through You. 45:05 I have nothing which to boast about. 45:09 If it wasn't for God, right, 45:11 and for this armor, we don't have it our self. 45:16 But notice, God has prepared armor for me. 45:21 Hello, God has prepared armor for you. 45:24 But there's one catch. 45:26 You've got to put it on. 45:28 Come on now, you've got to put it on. 45:31 The armor will do you no 45:33 good standing over there in the corner. 45:37 When you're going into battle, 45:38 you want to put all the armor on, 45:39 you don't want to leave one piece off 45:41 because the enemy will do what? 45:42 He will look for that one piece that you don't have. 45:46 And so when you have a weakness in your character, 45:48 the enemy knows that 45:50 because he's studying you day in and day out. 45:53 That shouldn't frighten us at all. 45:54 Just know that we serve one that's greater 45:56 that studying the enemy. 45:59 We have one that studying the enemy 46:01 and what the enemy is about to do, God said, 46:03 "I prepared a way for you, Kenny, 46:05 because I'll not put more on you than you're able to" what? 46:08 "To bear without providing a way off." 46:11 This is good news. This is good. 46:12 We're in a battle but royale, and somebody is going to win 46:16 and somebody is going to lose 46:17 and we don't want to be a loser. 46:19 God said, "You got to put it on." 46:22 And the armor that God has made for you 46:25 has been made, you know, 46:26 He's made it with His heavenly wisdom 46:29 to repel the temptations that the devil has just for you. 46:35 We realize as we identify 46:36 all those pieces of armor within, 46:38 they're all balanced, and they're all good. 46:39 But I'm wondering, you say in my own mind 46:41 that God knows the things that I have need of. 46:44 And I need a certain kind as it were, 46:46 and I need to put it on 46:47 because I have to repel the devil's, 46:48 that's any temptation. 46:50 That's any trickery of the devil. 46:52 That's any deception of the devil 46:54 as he comes against us, 46:56 so that we may be able to stand. 46:58 Isn't that it? Not to sit. 47:01 People come in church and they sit 47:03 and that's all that they do. 47:05 That's not what God would have us to do. 47:06 We come in and get our battery, 47:08 spiritual battery charge and then we go out and just... 47:13 In the name of Jesus, we go forward. 47:15 Why? 47:16 Because listen, if the world ever needed 47:18 a word in due season, it's right now. 47:21 There are so many that are hurting, 47:22 so many lost jobs. 47:23 And right now, do you realize again, 47:25 with things that are happening right now, 47:27 it's going to get worse 47:28 if God doesn't see fit to get it better. 47:31 We're talking about no jobs. 47:33 We're talking about stuff not able to come in this country, 47:35 not be able to ship stuff out. 47:38 Yeah, that's right. 47:39 Yeah, we're coming to the close of probation, 47:41 no mediator, we need to make sure things 47:43 are right with God right now. 47:45 We understand that we've got to, 47:47 because He's going to come at you 47:48 at some kind of a trick. 47:50 He's going to come against you 47:51 as some kind of deception, some kind of temptation. 47:54 But remember, you stand or you hold out. 47:57 I like that. 47:59 So that we're able to watch stand, 48:02 or we're able to hold out, 48:03 or we're able to overcome the enemy, 48:07 because he has thousand, 48:08 a million ways to fool and to trick somebody like me. 48:13 He has all kinds of ways, don't think that he's worn out. 48:17 Don't think he's just going to give up on you and say, 48:19 "Oh, well, I can't get there." 48:20 He's going to work 48:22 until the probation closes till Jesus comes to try to get rid. 48:25 We're looking, he knows, let me put this plain here. 48:27 We just have five minutes. 48:29 Come on, somebody, stay with me. 48:30 I feel like going another hour. I'm just so sorry for you. 48:33 No, I'm sorry for you. That's the way it is. 48:35 I feel good. 48:37 Because I'm going to talk to the unstable souls. 48:40 If there be any unstable soul that's here. 48:43 And you might ask what is an unstable soul? 48:47 I can go a lot different direction. 48:49 An unstable soul could be an individual 48:52 who is easily upset. 48:54 Come on, somebody. 48:56 Somebody that maybe is easily upset and you know, 48:59 ooh, you know just how to push their button. 49:04 Yeah. 49:06 You might know that person, 49:07 you know how to push that button 49:08 what really get him all upset. 49:10 But you know what? 49:11 It makes that person even more unstable. 49:13 It could be that unstable individual 49:15 is a fickled person. 49:19 The unstable person could be an unbalanced individual. 49:24 That simply means they're not stable, 49:25 that means they're changeable. 49:28 Like that, we talk about it... 49:31 They're blown about by every what? 49:33 Every wind of doctrine. They're tossed to and fro. 49:36 Listen, God's people need to be anchored in Jesus Christ. 49:39 We need to be anchored 49:40 on that solid rock which is Jesus. 49:42 We need not be blown about 49:44 by every wind of doctrine that's going out 49:45 by all these hot air preachers 49:47 and teachers or whatever they might be, 49:49 blowing out as hot air that has nothing in the foundation, 49:52 in the scripture of the Word of God. 49:54 We need to hang on to that foundation, 49:56 that Jesus Christ. 49:58 Think about it. 50:00 Not by every wind of doctrine that comes along that you say, 50:02 well, so and so will say this, it doesn't seem right 50:05 with the Word but, boy, it makes a little bit of sense. 50:08 Prove it from the Word of God or don't grab a hold of it. 50:12 Ephesians 4:14 if you're talking about 50:13 by being blown around by every wind of doctrine. 50:18 We must stand against the enemy now. 50:22 We've got to stand now, there's no sitting, 50:25 there's no dropping back right now. 50:27 You know, well, they say in football in the fourth down, 50:29 you step back and you punt, this is not time for that. 50:31 Right now, it's time to pass it. 50:33 You see what I mean? 50:34 Get it into the end zone right now. 50:36 Make a score right now with Jesus, 50:37 where your name is written in the Lamb's book of life. 50:40 Why do we stand against the devil? 50:42 Because my bible tells me in 1 Chronicles 2:1, 50:46 it says that Satan is going to stand up against us. 50:49 If he's going to stand against us, 50:50 we must stand against him by the grace of God. 50:54 So we must stand up. We've got to set up. 50:58 We've got to keep up, 50:59 we've got to fight against this evil thing, 51:01 the evil one which is Satan, there's no doubt about it. 51:05 His kingdom is a kingdom of sin. 51:07 We need to have nothing to do with it. 51:09 Therefore the Bible said, "Kenny, strive against sin, 51:12 fight against sin, stand against it 51:15 through prayer and through study of God's Word." 51:18 Strive against sin. 51:19 Hebrews 12:4, the Bible said," We now going to strive 51:22 is that you are to resist unto blood. 51:25 You are to what? 51:26 When temptation comes, and it's about to take you, 51:29 and you think you're not going to be able to stand it, 51:30 God says, "Pray and I'll send all the angels of heaven 51:33 there to help you, to give you the victory. 51:35 And if you have to, you should be willing to die 51:39 rather than commit a known sin." 51:41 Did you get it? 51:42 That's what the Bible said in Hebrews when it said, 51:44 resist unto what? 51:45 Resist unto blood. 51:47 That's what Christ expects for us. 51:50 Did He not do that? 51:51 He resisted the enemy unto blood, unto Calvary. 51:55 He resisted, He would rather die 51:57 than willingly do anything that was wrong. 51:59 God help us, God help me 52:03 to have that kind of relationship with Christ 52:05 and I would resist unto blood. 52:09 That the churches should be serious about these messages. 52:12 They should be serious about 52:13 our relationship with Jesus Christ, 52:15 more than we ever have in times past. 52:18 Quit dillydallying around and take a stand for Christ. 52:22 Get involved, do something for the cause of Christ. 52:25 Don't waste another day, time is of the essence. 52:28 Time is what? 52:30 Time is of the essence right now. 52:31 You don't have that much. I don't have that much. 52:34 None of us know if we have any other time left. 52:36 Right now, today's the day of salvation. 52:38 We must wage a valiant warfare against sin and the enemy. 52:43 Why? 52:44 As we close today, because of what lies ahead, 52:47 not only what we've been through, 52:49 but what lies ahead right now? 52:51 You can laugh about it all you want, 52:53 you can raise up your nose about and say, 52:54 "Oh, well, this right here." 52:55 You're going to be found without the gates. 52:57 We need to be make sure that 52:59 we're inside those holy gates of that New Jerusalem. 53:01 Why? 53:02 The Bible said in Ephesians 5:16, 53:04 "Because the days are evil." 53:07 The days are what? The days are evil. 53:10 Next 20 seconds we've got, 53:11 I'm going to pray right now in just closing. 53:13 I'm gonna kneel right now. 53:14 Please pray with me as we close. 53:15 Our Father in heaven, 53:17 thank You for Your precious Word today. 53:18 We pray Your Holy Spirit 53:20 now taken possession of each one, 53:21 and may decisions be made for You 53:23 and for eternity in Jesus' name. 53:24 Amen. Thank you for joining us. God bless you. 53:27 We look forward to hearing from you, 53:29 and we'll see you next time. 53:31 Hello, and welcome back. 53:33 You may have heard me say in times past that 53:36 err is becoming truth and truth is becoming err. 53:40 This statement is much more 53:42 accurately stated in today's society 53:44 as err has become truth 53:47 and truth has become err in the minds of 53:50 so many people throughout the world. 53:53 What a very sad state of affairs that 53:55 we find ourselves living in today. 53:59 Our eternal salvation, brothers and sisters, 54:01 hangs in the balance on our properly discerning 54:05 right from wrong and staying on that 54:08 path of righteousness 54:10 that will lead us to our heavenly home. 54:13 Allow me in closing today to read a quote found in the book, 54:16 the Acts of the Apostles on pages 505 54:20 and then we're going to jump back to 502. 54:22 It reads, "The law, obeyed, leads men to deny ungodliness 54:28 and worldly lusts, and to live soberly, 54:31 righteously and godly in this present world." 54:34 You can find that in Titus 2:12. 54:37 "But the enemy of all righteousness has taken 54:40 the world captive and has led men and women 54:42 to disobey the law. 54:44 As Paul foresaw, 54:45 multitudes have turned from the plain, 54:48 searching truths of God's word, and have chosen teachers 54:52 who present to them the fables they desire. 54:56 Many among both ministers and people are trampling 55:00 under their feet the Commandments of God. 55:02 Thus the Creator of the world is insulted, 55:05 and Satan laughs in triumph at the success of his devices. 55:11 The Apostle Paul warned Timothy against the false teachers 55:15 who would seek to gain entrance into the church. 55:18 This know also, he declared, 55:21 that in the last days perilous time shall come. 55:25 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, 55:29 boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, 55:34 unthankful, unholy, having a form of godliness, 55:38 but denying the power thereof: 55:40 from such, Paul says, turn away. 55:43 Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, 55:46 he continued, deceiving and being deceived. 55:49 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned... 55:53 the Holy Scriptures, 55:55 which are able to make thee wise unto salvation. 55:59 All Scripture is given by the inspiration of God, 56:02 and it's profitable for doctrine, 56:05 for reproof, for correction, 56:07 for instruction in righteousness, 56:09 that the man of God may be perfect, 56:12 thoroughly furnished unto all good works." 56:15 God has provided, listen, brothers and sisters, 56:18 God has provided abundant means 56:21 for successful warfare 56:23 against the evil that is in the world. 56:26 The Bible is the armory, 56:28 where we may equip for the struggle. 56:31 Our loins must be girt about with truth. 56:33 Our breastplate must be righteousness. 56:36 The shield of faith must be in our hand, 56:39 the helmet of salvation on our brow, 56:42 and with the sword of the Spirit, 56:44 which is the word of God. 56:46 We are to cut our way through 56:47 the obstructions and entanglements of sin." 56:51 Friends, after this message today, 56:53 we hope to hear from you. 56:55 We hope to hear from you very soon, 56:57 and order this message which is entitled once again, 57:01 "Waging a Valiant Warfare Against Sin." 57:04 And today's message was part one. 57:06 We're offering this two-part series 57:09 for a love gift of just $15 57:11 or more here in the United States. 57:13 If you live outside the United States, 57:15 we may need to add a little bit more 57:18 for the mailing cost. 57:20 Simply contact us here at Behold the Lamb Ministries 57:23 by calling us in the United States 57:25 at (618)-942-5044, 57:29 that is Central Time, or you may write 57:31 to Behold the Lamb Ministries, 57:33 PO Box 2030, Herrin, Illinois 62948. 57:38 Email us, I love getting your emails 57:40 at BeholdTheLambMinistries@ Yahoo.com 57:43 or you may feel free to order 57:45 and even donate on our website 57:47 and that is Behold theLambMinistries.com. 57:50 Until next time, may our precious Lord 57:53 continue to richly bless you and yours. |
