00:40 to Behold the Lamb Presents. 00:42 I'm Chris Shelton. 00:43 I want to thank you for joining us today. 00:45 Our message for today is entitled 00:47 Daniel's Prophecies Unsealed. 00:50 In Daniel 12:3-4, we read, 00:54 "And they that be wise shall shine 00:56 as the brightness of the firmament, 00:58 and they that turn many to righteousness 01:01 as the stars for ever and ever. 01:04 But thou, O Daniel, 01:05 shut up the words and seal the book 01:07 even to the time of the end: 01:09 many shall run to and fro 01:12 and knowledge shall be increased." 01:14 Several thousand years ago, Daniel, 01:17 a man of God from an early age was favored by God 01:21 to become one of his mouthpieces, a prophet. 01:25 Daniel was given great prophetic visions, 01:27 some of which even made him very, very ill. 01:31 He was shown highlights of kingdoms 01:34 throughout all of earth's history 01:35 all the way up to the Second Coming of Christ 01:38 that the angel had instructed Daniel 01:40 that some of what he had been shown 01:43 was to be shut up and sealed until the time of the end. 01:47 And during this time of the end, 01:50 he was also shown 01:51 that knowledge would be increased. 01:54 Certainly, we all know that knowledge has increased, 01:57 but what about the time of the end? 02:00 Has this time begun? 02:02 How important are the prophetic Books 02:04 of Daniel and of Revelation? 02:07 Has the Book of Daniel already been unsealed? 02:11 And what effect will this have on each and every one of us? 06:25 Without you to help us support 06:27 and get this message to all the world, 06:29 you know, where would it be? 06:30 We know that God is able, 06:32 but thank you again for your cards 06:33 and your letter and your support, your prayer. 06:36 I mean, you're praying, I know, we receive those letters. 06:38 And that you're praying for us every day. 06:41 And let me tell you, I'm not offended by that, 06:43 when people say I've been praying for you and they have. 06:46 I've been praying for you for 30 years. 06:48 I praise God for that. 06:49 And I say to them, "Please don't stop." 06:52 We need those prayers, don't we, as we move along? 06:55 Our subject today, and we think it's going to be, 06:57 you know, an exciting one. 06:59 It should be an encouragement to us. 07:00 And there's an awful lot, 07:02 we won't be able to hit everything. 07:04 But we're going to be talking about 07:05 Daniel's Prophecies Unsealed. 07:08 And there's a reason because people use, 07:11 you know, some of these things, 07:12 they read a line or two here and there, 07:14 and they'll say, "Well, these are seals 07:15 so we don't have to mess with them. 07:17 They use revelation. 07:18 Well, it's not, you know, it's not, 07:19 we can't understand it. 07:21 Also, we're not to study it." 07:22 But we're living in a very specific time 07:24 of earth's history 07:26 when Jesus is soon to come. 07:28 But you know, until then we have a work to do. 07:32 Let's put our work boots on. 07:35 And some of you need steel toes. 07:38 I hope somebody, I hope you get, right? 07:40 Because we're a little bit sensitive. 07:42 We get a little bit discouraged when somebody says something 07:44 and they might stomp on your toes, 07:46 just a little bit, have those steel toes 07:48 on that the Word of God right hid in your heart, 07:51 and that we will do what we need to do. 07:54 There's the importance of this study, 07:55 we'll get into it. 07:57 We're going to read a couple passages of scripture 07:58 that we never start as you know, until we pray. 08:01 We pray beforehand, 08:02 before we go on the air we pray during 08:04 and we ask that you continue to pray throughout the study 08:07 because it's very important. 08:09 I'm going to kneel up here with you, 08:10 just pray with me please. 08:13 Merciful Father, in heaven, 08:14 we come to You because we have need of a Savior. 08:17 We have need of the power of the Holy Spirit. 08:19 We have need of understanding of Your Word. 08:20 Oh, how we lack that understanding 08:22 without Your Holy Spirit. 08:24 We can't understand it. 08:25 So but now we ask 08:27 for the inviting the Holy Spirit 08:29 now to come into our hearts and our minds, in our lives. 08:31 Put out those things 08:33 that so easily beset us this week 08:35 that we may spend this thoughtful time 08:37 with you right now, 08:38 as you reveal, 08:40 the time in which we are living and we thank you 08:42 for each and every one in Jesus' name, amen. 08:45 You have your Bible, 08:46 I want you to turn with me to Revelation Chapter 12. 08:48 I'm going to read several passages of Scripture. 08:51 Love to read them all, love to try it, 08:53 try go in to them 08:55 that maybe help us to understand. 08:57 But we want to highlight some of the things 08:59 that I believe will be a blessing to you, 09:00 a blessing to me as I've studied this thing. 09:02 Revelation Chapter 12, 09:04 we're going to begin with verse 3 and 4, 09:06 and we're going to read 3, 4, 9, 10 and 13. 09:10 Not that we're skipping any, 09:11 not that we're trying to prioritize 09:13 some above the other. 09:15 But I believe these will help fit 09:17 what we're going to be talking about today. 09:18 I love to say and always say, "This is what the Bible says." 09:22 Are we there, church? 09:24 This is what the Bible says. 09:26 This is not what somebody else says. 09:28 This is what the Bible says. 09:29 This is what the Holy Spirit says to us today. 09:32 Daniel 12:3, 09:36 "And they that be wise..." 09:38 Is anybody wise here? 09:41 We hope that you are by the grace of God. 09:44 "They that be wise shall shine 09:45 as the brightness of the firmament, 09:48 and they that turn many to righteousness 09:51 as the stars for ever and ever." 09:53 Verse 4, "But thou, Daniel, 09:55 shut up the words and," do what? 09:58 "Seal," notice this, "the book, even to the time of the end: 10:03 many shall run to and fro, 10:05 and knowledge shall be increased." 10:06 Verse 9, "And he said, go thy way, Daniel: 10:10 for the words are," what? 10:11 "They're closed up and sealed till the time of the end." 10:14 In other words, it's more for us than it is for Daniel. 10:17 Daniel didn't understand all of it. 10:18 Certainly it was a big portion for Daniel's time. 10:21 What we need to understand is it's for our time, 10:25 the time of the end. 10:27 The Bible said, "Many shall," verse 10, 10:29 "shall be purified, and made," what? 10:31 "White, and tried, 10:33 but the wicked shall do wickedly: 10:36 none of the wicked shall understand." 10:39 Cannot be real nice about it. 10:40 Those who are wicked is not going to be able to understand. 10:43 If you want to understand, 10:44 we need to be righteous by the grace of God, 10:45 isn't that right? 10:47 By the power of the Holy Spirit. 10:48 "But the wise shall understand." 10:51 This just negates and say let's not make excuses 10:54 that we'll never be able to understand it, 10:55 because the Bible says the wise shall understand. 10:58 Verse 13, but he tells Daniel, 11:00 "But go thy way till the end be: 11:04 for thou shalt rest, 11:07 and shall stand in thy lot at the end of days." 11:12 Very interesting when you look at that, 11:14 the importance of this study. 11:15 Let me just run over some quick things here 11:17 that lay a little bit of groundwork 11:19 as we go through this. 11:22 This is found in Testimonies to Ministers, 115, 11:26 because we talk about Daniel go thy way. 11:29 You know, stand in your law. 11:31 What does this all mean? 11:32 It says, "Daniel stood in his lot 11:35 to bear his testimony." 11:36 That means he stood in his, this was his portion. 11:39 This was his destiny. 11:41 And certainly he will speak again, 11:43 to this generation. 11:45 Remember, God is opening the prophecy 11:48 of the book of Daniel to this generation. 11:51 To me, that's so important. 11:53 That makes my ears stand up. 11:55 This is for me, this is for you. 11:58 They should tingle on it and say, 12:00 this is for me, I want to know. 12:02 But how often do we not hear it from the pulpit? 12:07 I don't want to be a discouragement to you. 12:08 I want to say we go a lot of places, 12:10 we hear a lot of things. 12:11 Very few people are talking about the end times. 12:15 They're talking about everything but the end times. 12:17 He said, "Daniel, remember what I'm giving you right now, 12:20 you're going to rest for a while. 12:22 But your words that I speak, 12:23 you will come back to this last generation. 12:26 They were sealed until the time of the end." 12:29 Listen, anybody that studies Bible prophecy, 12:32 in case you don't know, and you haven't studied one, 12:33 it's not a put down at all. 12:36 We have studied the Word of God to the point 12:37 we realize that the end of time would be after 1798. 12:42 Did you get it? 12:43 After 1798? 12:45 And again, we'll go through a little bit more 12:47 of that as we can. 12:48 And then if you have questions, 12:49 we can go a little deeper into it 12:51 if we need to in the Word of God. 12:52 That would be after the what? 12:54 Twelve hundred and sixty years, right? 12:56 Days of the Dark Ages. 12:58 We'll go over it again, as we go, 538, 13:00 1798 is exactly 1260 years of the papal rule. 13:05 That's the Dark Ages period that we all know. 13:09 It's going to be after that point. 13:12 Listen, we're after that point. 13:14 This is for us right now. 13:17 Notice this, the prophecy is recorded by Daniel. 13:20 Notice this, demand our special attention. 13:24 Demand what? Our special attention. 13:26 Why? 13:27 As they relate to the very times 13:29 in which we are living. 13:31 With them 13:32 and with the teachings of Daniel 13:34 should also be coupled with what? 13:35 The Book of... 13:36 Say Revelation, the Book of Revelation. 13:38 We know that, that's New Testament scripture. 13:41 Now remember, the enemy has deceived 13:44 the majority of the world. 13:46 Think about it, 13:47 how many churches you've attended, 13:49 or maybe you've worked for, you did before? 13:50 God called you out of darkness into marvelous light. 13:54 That's not in a bragging way, but let's face reality here. 13:58 Where were you at before for many years 14:00 that God called you and the relationship 14:02 that you had with him increased? 14:05 And you understood the Bible much better 14:07 and you followed Him. 14:09 You begin to walk. 14:10 You know, to say that you understand Scripture 14:12 and not willing to walk in, 14:13 unfaithful steward, unfaithful, right? 14:16 Witness and unfaithful person, 14:18 you know, we've got to follow Jesus Christ. 14:21 That's what it's telling us. 14:23 And so as we look at these things 14:25 that were going on, we could just say quickly, 14:27 maybe to help us understand, 14:28 we could divide Daniel 14:30 and like to just two little portions, quickly. 14:32 A lot of different portions, but two. 14:34 We can look at the historical aspect of Daniel, 14:37 and I believe that's in, you know, Chapters 1 through 6, 14:40 more of the historical setting and things 14:42 that took place right there. 14:44 Then we can certainly look at the prophet 14:47 or prophetic section that goes from Chapter 7 through 12. 14:52 And so there's a lot that's there. 14:54 So, if we look at the prophetic time, 14:56 we would think more of this 14:57 is what we're talking about, 14:59 that God is unsealing 15:00 for the last days the prophecies, 15:02 so that we can understand them, 15:03 so that we can know where we are at. 15:07 And Daniel Chapter 7, just quickly, we realized 15:10 that is the second prophetic message. 15:13 The first one was in Daniel Chapter 2, 15:15 where it talked about, 15:16 you know, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome 15:17 and so on and so forth. 15:19 But it talks about and I'm not going to go into it, 15:20 four beasts, it talks about, the little horn, 15:24 Daniel 7, and the judgment hour. 15:26 Judgment hour is such an important message 15:28 and what we're living today that we're living in. 15:31 The third prophetic message, that'd be Daniel 8 and 9, 15:37 that we talk about the ram, that we talk about the he-goat, 15:40 that we talk about the horns and the cleansing of what? 15:43 The cleansing of the sanctuary, you remember? 15:46 It talks about what? 15:47 Daniel 8:14, 2300 days, 2300 years, 15:50 and then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. 15:53 Remember the time of the end after 1798, 15:55 interesting, 1844 is after 1798, is it not? 16:00 And the message begin to come out 16:02 earlier than that, just a few years after 1798. 16:06 People all over the world well began 16:07 to study the prophecies of Daniel 16:10 and light was shining on them. 16:12 And many around the world were saying, 16:14 "Jesus is soon to come." 16:16 Jesus, there was a reformation, 16:19 like we need to be going through today 16:21 rather than, "Oh, I have to go to church." 16:24 Oh, boy, I didn't have much time, 16:26 mentioned in a store, 16:27 oh, I don't have time to go to church, 16:28 you have time to set. 16:30 I'll leave it at that. 16:33 Sometime I have to stop myself, well. 16:37 It'll just come out. 16:41 But you know what we can relate to it. 16:43 We can do everything else. 16:46 But should we not be doing that which God has asked us to do? 16:49 The fourth prophetic message 16:51 we talk about is certainly Daniel 10 through 12. 16:54 And again, you can find all those little verses of it 16:58 if you want to with the chapters. 17:00 It's a vision concerning future or historical events, 17:05 and some not yet taking place. 17:08 In the future, isn't that right? 17:10 I think that we talked about, 17:11 I think it was James White, was Ellen White's husband. 17:14 He said, "Be careful about some of these things. 17:17 Don't be too dogmatic about it." 17:19 My mum always told me, "Be careful, Kenny, 17:20 you're gonna have to eat your own words." 17:26 But we can be positive and be sure 17:28 as the scrolling rolls, as we see things happening. 17:31 I believe sometime we have to put ourselves out there. 17:35 They can call it conspiracy if they want to. 17:37 I call it truth from God's Word, 17:39 because it's founded in the Word of God. 17:42 Prophets and Kings, 17:43 I want to just go to that quickly, 17:45 page 547 says this, 17:47 "I think it's important to establish 17:49 when you talk about a certain subject." 17:51 That is something that we should be talking about. 17:54 Is something that, again, grips us 17:57 in the society that we live in, 18:00 that we see these things happening, 18:01 but we can't quite put it together. 18:03 The world sees things happening. 18:06 Tremendous things that are happening. 18:09 Unquestionable things that are happening yet, 18:11 but they just said, we can't put it together. 18:14 We just don't understand it because we need to be studying 18:17 Daniel and Revelation, 18:19 then we can see what the enemy's plan is 18:21 and who is going to be using, 18:23 notice this, to get rid of God's last day people. 18:26 It doesn't matter what's going on in the world today, 18:29 you can call anything you want to call it, 18:31 I guarantee you, the enemy is behind it, 18:33 and the end result is he wants to hush the people of God. 18:37 Does that make sense? 18:38 See, most of us don't want to think that way. 18:40 It's true. 18:42 You are here today 18:44 because God says you can be here. 18:48 If God didn't say you could be here right now, 18:50 the enemy would snuff you like you're nothing. 18:52 You couldn't stop him. 18:54 Only God can stop him, 18:56 only the Spirit of the living God, 18:57 only the Holy Spirit of living God says 18:59 that they're apple of my eye, you can't touch them. 19:03 I mean that to me, that's such a good news. 19:06 That's exciting news. 19:09 We shall, we must be focused in 19:12 on the events that are taking place. 19:16 Notice it, as we near the close of this world's history, 19:19 the prophecy is recorded, we talked about Daniel, 19:22 demand our what? 19:23 Special attention. 19:25 Keep that in mind. 19:26 The enemy has deceived what? 19:27 The majority of the world, most of the world 19:30 in believing as we mentioned these two books, 19:32 Daniel and Revelation. 19:33 We just can't understand them. 19:36 Any preacher, any elder, anybody, 19:39 I almost said with any sense, I'm not going to say that. 19:44 Anybody that said you can't get in the pulpit 19:48 and try to tell the people of God 19:50 that's been put under your care 19:53 that we just don't need to study Daniel and Revelation 19:56 should be fired, given a shovel, 19:58 go outside and dig or something. 20:01 You know what, really? 20:03 Because you know what, when you're digging, 20:04 I'll tell you right there, Brother Mark, 20:06 you know, if you're saying that to your congregation, 20:08 you might as well go dig your own grave. 20:11 Seriously. 20:13 This is the hour. 20:18 Say that you can't understand. 20:20 But it's just the opposite. 20:22 See how the devil, always just the opposite. 20:24 She say, "Well, I'm not really sure." 20:26 It's the opposite. 20:28 We read there in verse 10 of Daniel 12:10, 20:31 blessings will come to those 20:33 who study and those who read, 20:37 Revelation will tell you the same thing. 20:41 It says, "The wise shall understand. 20:44 So you can't say we can't understand it. 20:48 Because it just said, the wise shall understand it. 20:52 So the vision then that was given to Daniel over and over, 20:56 you know, the ones that we call about unsealed, 20:59 they're going to be unsealed in the latter times. 21:02 Keep that in mind, we'll say it over and over, 21:03 they're going to be unsealed where? 21:05 In the latter days. 21:07 And then we have Revelation, it was a revealing of whom? 21:12 Of Jesus Christ was given to John. 21:16 John wrote those things down to guide God's people, 21:20 to show God's servants, here in these last days, 21:23 of the things the Bible said that must shortly come to pass. 21:26 Is that what the Bible says? 21:28 How can anyone read those passages of Scripture 21:31 and then say it's not important? 21:33 Remember, the enemy would say, 21:35 "Oh, it says, a revelation of Jesus Christ. 21:37 I don't want the people to know Jesus Christ. 21:40 Let's keep them out of the book. 21:42 Oh, I don't want them to know of the things 21:44 that shortly come to pass. 21:46 Keep them out of that book." 21:48 That's Revelation 1:1, 21:49 I mean, just opens up with dynamite, right? 21:52 Revelation opens up with just pure old dynamite, 21:55 hand grenades, throw them all in there, right? 21:57 Wake up the people. 21:58 You listen, if they don't wake you up, 22:00 they'll kill you. 22:01 Okay, we'll leave it at that. 22:03 You decide for however you want to. 22:06 I mean, it's really, the blessing is pronounced, 22:09 notice in Revelation, notice on three things, 22:11 blessings upon he who reads. 22:14 Did you get it? 22:16 He that readeth, and he that hears, 22:20 and then the ones who do what? 22:22 Keep those things written in the book. 22:25 So you can read it all you want, 22:27 you can hear it all you want, 22:29 but until we're willing to keep those things 22:31 written in the book, we're falling short. 22:34 Now that why should I read? 22:35 Why should I study? Why should I keep? 22:37 Because John goes head and say, 22:39 "Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, 22:42 for the time is at hand." 22:45 See, you say, well, might be several years off, 22:48 don't worry about that. 22:49 The time is at hand. 22:51 Your time may be at hand. 22:53 You may not make it through this day. 22:54 I may not make it through this day. 22:56 Keep it real. 22:57 See to me just keep it real 22:59 in our hearts and our minds all the time. 23:01 Well, you know, my grandpa said that, 23:03 but don't worry about what grandpa said. 23:07 We love grandpa, we love dad, it's all good, 23:09 but what they said was maybe for their day is good. 23:13 We're in our day right now. 23:15 We're closer. 23:16 Remember, the Book of Daniel would be what? 23:19 Unsealed and things would come to our attention 23:23 to remind us. 23:24 We can know by studying these books, 23:27 what has been, what will be, 23:30 what is happening right now, it's all for us. 23:33 Think about where else can you look? 23:36 What other book can you read in the world besides the Bible, 23:38 to read what has been, what is happening right now 23:41 and what's going to happen? 23:43 You get a lot of lies, and one of the things, 23:45 but the Bible tells you the truth. 23:48 Is for our encouragement, it's for our, 23:53 you know, build our faith. 23:55 It's for our assurance. 23:58 It's, you know, it's for our hope. 24:00 And I read this and I gather hope and encouragement 24:04 of these glorious truths concerning the days, 24:08 you know, last days of earth's history. 24:10 If we could get that really through our minds, we are in. 24:13 You said it so many times in your life, 24:15 I have too, 24:16 we're in the last days of earth's history. 24:18 But now believe it. 24:20 We must believe that we are, and if we believe that we are, 24:24 our actions will maybe be a little different 24:26 than they have been. 24:28 We won't worry so much about this and that 24:30 or the remnant as Jesus talked about, right? 24:34 He said, "I've take note of the sparrows, 24:35 I don't know what they have need of, 24:37 and aren't you more than these? 24:38 And so, you know, take no thought for the morrow, 24:40 for the morrow takes thought of itself. 24:42 Sufficient unto today is the evil thereof. 24:46 The Bible said, knowledge shall increase. 24:49 All we're doing is looking back and proving to begin with 24:51 and laying a good foundation we pray to say, 24:54 we realize the Book of Daniel is open. 24:56 Things that were sealed for all the other people right now 24:59 in the last days which we are in 25:01 there and sealed. 25:03 And God's people, 25:04 the wise is going to understand. 25:06 Evil ones are not going to 25:08 because they're not going to be studying. 25:11 I'm not talking about just reading, 25:12 I'm talking about studying. 25:14 The Bible said and knowledge shall increase. 25:17 I read something interesting 25:18 and I want to share it with you. 25:20 George Riesman, he writes in a book, 25:23 he's got a book out, it's called Capitalism. 25:25 That's interesting, Capitalism. 25:27 Over 30 some years ago, he writes this. 25:30 He's a professor of economics 25:34 at the Pepperdine University, and author. 25:39 Now we can say, "Oh, well, 25:40 now he knows his business well." 25:42 If he harmonized with Scripture, 25:43 he knows his business. 25:45 If he doesn't, he doesn't know his business. 25:47 Is that okay? 25:49 I'm just being truthful, doesn't mean he's not smart, 25:52 doesn't mean he's earned degrees, it's not that. 25:55 But he writes about the industrial civilization. 25:59 He writes about changes that is taking place, 26:02 and is taking place so quickly. 26:04 And in the 18th and 19th century, 26:06 this religious awakening and the Book of Daniel open 26:09 and people are looking and saying 26:10 something big is about to happen. 26:13 He writes this, is very interesting. 26:15 He says, talking about people. 26:18 He says, "They live on a level," 26:20 notice this, talking about us today. 26:22 He says, "We live on a level far exceeding 26:26 that of kings and emperors, and all previous ages." 26:32 He said today that people were living high. 26:35 Can I say this, my mom, dad said, 26:36 oh, you're living high on the hog. 26:39 I might have had a dollar or two 26:40 and I spend it like I would... 26:42 Then you're living high on a hog boy, 26:44 but that's going to be gone on tomorrow, then where you go? 26:46 Okay, some of you know what I'm talking about. 26:51 We live on a level that just a few generations ago 26:57 would have been regarded as just impossible. 27:01 It just could not be. 27:03 We would say, to live like we're living now 27:06 several generations ago would be like, 27:09 live in science fiction. 27:12 Sci-fi world. 27:16 I thought that in the 1980s 27:17 I thought if we ever get to 2000, 27:21 the cars will be flying. 27:25 They'll make cars, and they can do that, too, 27:28 you know, they've had some. 27:30 See I knew some of you been reading. 27:35 But it would just been sci-fi with, 27:37 you know, cars with their own just turn of a key. 27:42 A push, push a pedal. 27:45 Get all the steering wheel as it were. 27:47 They drive along the highways, 27:49 you know, speeds, high speeds right now. 27:53 It's a wonderful machine they call the car. 27:57 He said with a flick of a switch 27:59 he's observing things. 28:01 The flick of a switch. 28:02 They go into a dark room, 28:03 it lights the whole room up and you can see. 28:08 Just a little flick of a switch. 28:10 With a touch of a button, he says, 28:12 they watch events taking place 10,000 miles away 28:17 and we know around the world. 28:20 Think about how that's changed in the last few centuries. 28:24 Oh, my, with a touch of few other buttons 28:26 they talk to other people on the phone 28:29 or in their neighborhood or around the world. 28:33 They fly through the air in aeroplanes, 28:36 600 miles he's riding over 30 years ago. 28:38 Six hundred miles an hour, 28:40 and they've got air condition and movies, 28:45 and peanuts... 28:50 Little snacks, okay, 28:53 yeah, and comfort. 28:57 If you live in the United States 28:59 you have most generally have a home, 29:00 it's a spacious home or apartment. 29:03 There's heating, and there's air conditioning, 29:05 and there's refrigerators and there's freezers. 29:09 Yeah. 29:13 Electric stoves, or gas stoves and he's going, 29:16 they can have all of this that says 29:18 as well as a long, good life. 29:21 And notice this, 29:23 and this is the result of working 40 hours a week. 29:31 Well, not for some but, 29:33 most people work 40 hours a week, whatever. 29:36 And they can have all of these things and they, 29:39 he said it's unheard of the time, 29:41 which Daniel said, 29:42 you know, he talks about knowledge would increase, 29:44 men would run what? 29:45 To and fro, things would be opened up 29:47 and it can be a lot more sci-fi if we had time. 29:51 We're not going to do that. 29:54 We're talking about flying saucers 29:56 and people coming from other places in the world. 29:59 Bible says men shall run to and fro, 30:01 knowledge should be increased, 30:04 the wicked is going to do what? 30:05 Wickedly, they're not going to able be understand 30:07 Daniel 12:4 and 10. 30:10 Interesting. 30:12 Matthew, Jesus said, Matthew 24:15, 30:15 He said, "Who so readeth, let him understand." 30:19 Here's our problem. 30:20 It's not what's in the Word of God, 30:22 it's us getting in the Word of God 30:24 and getting through it, right? 30:25 We need to get in, you say, "Well, I do, 30:27 I spend five minutes with him today." 30:28 Oh, stop. 30:33 Takes me longer when I tie my shoes. 30:38 You know what I mean. 30:42 We've got to try by the grace of God 30:44 to spend time. 30:45 We don't have time, we get up earlier, 30:46 and we make time. 30:49 And when you read these things, remember you are guaranteed 30:53 those who are studying in the last days, 30:55 and I'm talking about those who want to know, 30:58 those who will study intelligently. 31:02 But by the aid of the Holy Spirit, 31:04 the power of God will understand 31:06 God's message for this time. 31:10 That's got to make sense. 31:11 You will. 31:12 Just saying I don't understand 31:14 is because you're not in the Word. 31:15 I don't understand, you're not praying. 31:17 You're not asking for the guidance 31:18 of the Holy Spirit. 31:20 Interesting. 31:21 Revelation 14:6-7, 31:23 we understand it as giving you the first angel's message. 31:26 Is that right? 31:28 Do you realize the majority of the world 31:30 and the churches today have never heard a sermon 31:32 on the Three Angels' Message? 31:34 How sad, because it is the last message 31:37 to go into the entire world, 31:40 to warn the world, 31:41 equip the world for the coming of Jesus, 31:43 and certainly prepare us for His coming. 31:46 If God gives such a warning message, 31:49 should we not take it seriously? 31:51 Absolutely. 31:53 This angel with a loud voice, telling us remember, 31:56 remember the last days, we're talking about Daniel, 31:59 talking about men will run to and fro, 32:01 knowledge shall increase, 32:02 things are going to be happening in the world today. 32:07 It talks about a religious awakening 32:10 that would take place 32:11 just prior to the coming of Jesus. 32:14 And one of the things that wakes up the world 32:16 is the giving of the Three Angels' Message. 32:19 Because remember, it puts our minds back to what? 32:22 Remember, in fact, back to the beginning 32:25 and the keeping of the seventh day Sabbath. 32:26 Let's just get it on, shall we? 32:29 Remember, He said, "Go back and worship 32:30 the one who made heaven and earth, 32:32 and the sea and all that in the midst." 32:33 To worship the one who made and created, right? 32:35 We go back to the very beginning 32:37 because we what? 32:38 We forgot to remember. 32:39 That what the fourth one said, 32:41 remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. 32:43 A sign that He's our Creator and our Redeemer. 32:45 And well, first angel's messages 32:47 go back why? 32:48 Because the world has covered it up. 32:51 And they don't see the importance, 32:52 they haven't heard the importance. 32:53 The devil has covered it up. 32:55 And then the hour of His judgment is come. 32:58 So that simply means there would be a specific time 33:01 that the judgment would begin. 33:04 And we realize that, it says remember, after that 1260 year, 33:09 after 1798, this would take place. 33:14 It's given with a loud voice. 33:15 It is a warning to those who dwell upon the earth. 33:19 Because it says it's every what? 33:21 Nation, kindred, tongue, and people. 33:24 Listen, how far would this message go 33:26 if it's up to you? 33:27 If it was just up to me. 33:31 See, what are we doing 33:32 as it were to get this message out? 33:34 Are we given something else? 33:37 Nothing is to occupy the mind 33:38 but the giving of the Three Angels' Message. 33:40 Now we realize we have to have that commitment to Christ, 33:43 and we made that commitment to Him. 33:45 But remember, this is the last three warning message 33:47 given to the world before Jesus comes. 33:50 Again, going back to the way God set it up. 33:54 And then when people hear, you say, 33:56 "Why are we giving Bible studies?" 33:57 Well, why not? 34:00 We have to understand the devil is teaching lies 34:03 on every subject. 34:06 You talk about hell, the devil's doing what? 34:09 He's teaching lie about hell. 34:11 Talk about heaven, he's teaching lie. 34:12 Talk about Sabbath, he's teaching lie. 34:14 He's given you a counterfeit. 34:17 So we studied the Word of God and understand what truth is, 34:21 truth sanctifies, prepares us for the coming of Jesus. 34:25 This message will be given. 34:26 Once these things are studied, 34:29 then the second angel's message is what? 34:31 Come out of her my people 34:33 is basically what it is, isn't it? 34:34 God gives the call, then you've heard these truths, 34:37 they have been established in the Word of God 34:38 if people will sit long enough. 34:43 If they will study, it's very simple. 34:46 Is it okay? 34:48 Is all right, isn't it? 34:49 It's very simple to see it 34:50 because it just overlaps one thing after the other 34:53 and you can trace it all through history. 34:54 It's very simple. 34:55 Study the Book of Daniel, man, 34:57 God sets up all the kingdoms and the kingdoms fall down 35:00 and then the other power comes up. 35:01 And we're warned about the power 35:03 or a little horn power 35:04 and the one who speaks you know what? 35:06 Revelation 13, the dragon, right? 35:08 It come up like a lamb and it speaks like a dragon. 35:10 It causes the world 35:12 and all them to dwell to worship 35:14 the first beast, that's a Sunday law. 35:16 Come on, we've got to get with the program here. 35:19 Yeah. 35:21 See, the Book of Daniel and Revelation 35:24 tells of a message that encircles the glow. 35:26 The message helps us, listen, 35:28 the message itself helps us to understand this movement 35:32 and when it's to take place. 35:35 We're right in the middle of it. 35:37 You know what it is? 35:38 It's a part of the everlasting gospel 35:40 you ever hear. 35:41 People say everlasting gospel people start show, 35:43 everybody got, talk about prophecy, 35:46 and horns and beast and, you know, mark of the beast. 35:51 You know what I'm talking about. 35:53 Say everlasting gospel, they go, "Oh." 35:56 Well, praise God. That's all good. 35:57 But there's other things in there too 35:59 that God warns us about. 36:03 This we're talking about 36:04 is part of the everlasting gospel, 36:07 is part of the gospel of Jesus Christ. 36:11 And listen, the gospel of Jesus Christ, 36:14 the everlasting gospel, can only be given the way 36:17 it should be given at the end of time. 36:21 That means during the hour of the judgment, 36:23 the judgment hour. 36:25 Remember, Daniel was told to what? 36:27 Close up. 36:29 He was told to what? 36:30 Just seal part of what God had given him, 36:36 remember, relating to the last days until the, 36:40 what is it, Daniel 12:4 until the time of the end. 36:45 We are here now. 36:47 Listen, that shouldn't surprise, 36:49 you say, "Well I'm not sure about that." 36:51 You remember what Paul said? 36:53 What did Paul preach? 36:54 Did he preach that Jesus was coming in his day? 36:57 Somebody say no. No. 36:58 No, he did not. 37:00 But he wanted us to live our life, 37:01 he wanted to get it all right. 37:02 And what a wonderful man of God, absolutely. 37:04 Paul told the church, 37:07 don't expect Jesus to come, you see, in his day. 37:12 Don't expect him to come in his day. 37:13 He say,"Well, I don't know that." 37:15 2 Thessalonians 2:3 makes it very, very clear. 37:21 Paul says, notice this, you know this passage, 37:25 "Except there comes a falling away first." 37:29 Did you get it? 37:30 And there's going to be a falling away first 37:32 and the man of sin will be what? 37:35 He's going to be revealed. 37:37 Let's break that down. 37:38 The man of sin, 37:40 that means there's going to come at a certain time 37:44 that the man of sin is going to be revealed. 37:46 That means he's going to be uncovered. 37:49 That means the man of sin is going to be exposed. 37:52 That means he's going to be made known 37:54 and how's he going to be made known 37:55 if you don't do your job, if I don't do my job, 37:58 which I know that I'm supposed to do 37:59 is warning about the beast, 38:01 that little horn power, right? 38:02 That what Daniel said. 38:04 Be careful, watch that little horn, watch out. 38:07 Is that kind of what he said? 38:12 Of those 10 kingdoms, you remember? 38:14 He said that little horn would come up among them. 38:16 It wasn't one of the 10, but it came up among them, 38:18 and when it came up among them and uprooted three. 38:21 If there were only 10 kingdoms in the world, 38:23 at that point in time and written, 38:25 everybody would know there's just 10. 38:27 Now we have so many different power 38:28 and kingdom in world, whatever, it is so many, it's hard, 10. 38:32 And so when the little horn came up, 38:33 and three of them were gone, 38:35 you would know that power that uprooted them, 38:37 would you not? 38:39 He had eyes like the eyes of a man, 38:40 he speak blasphemies. 38:41 Isn't that right? 38:44 Man, we talk about power here 38:45 that we have to warn the world against 38:47 because this power has taken the world captive. 38:51 And the time will come, I'm going to say it nicely, 38:54 where will you be horse swept. 38:57 A little different now nowadays. 38:58 That's what I heard when I was growing up. 39:01 That you won't be able to say what I'm saying right now 39:03 without paying. 39:05 And what's being said right now that it will come back 39:07 and there's still going to be a price to pay. 39:12 Ain't that true? 39:15 So we have to say it. 39:17 Now we have to, you know, the man of sin 39:21 is going to be uncovered, is going to be make known. 39:23 The man of sin is going to be exposed. 39:24 Who's going to expose the man of sin? 39:26 Let's talk a little bit about that. 39:29 Remember, it's not until after this great apostasy 39:33 of this man of sin, 39:36 that long period reign of the man of sin, 39:39 we talked about 1260 years, ain't that right? 39:43 A papal supremacy, 538, 1798 and going a lot different. 39:48 But you know, at one point in scripture 39:51 it says 42 months. 39:53 Herb, would I get that when I read that 39:54 the same period of time, is it not? 39:57 You take 42 months a day a time, 39:58 that's still 1260 days. 40:01 That's what the Bible said there in Revelation 13:5. 40:04 And then when I read in the Bible, he said, 40:06 "This power is going to be ruling for a time 40:08 and a times and dividing of times, 40:10 I still look at that, 360, 720 and half a time, 40:13 180, I still come up 1260. 40:16 Do you? 40:17 I still come up with that same time, 40:19 Revelation 12:14. 40:22 And then it comes out just plain and says 40:24 this power is going to rule for 1260 years, 40:28 Revelation 12:6. 40:30 If you're not jotting these down, 40:31 you don't go back, you're not going, 40:32 you cannot and I cannot follow what the... 40:35 We're talking about the Romanism 40:36 or the papacy and their teachings, 40:38 which are not in the Word of God 40:40 and plan on heaven being our home. 40:42 Or tell me today that it makes no difference. 40:44 Should I sit down a minute and rest? 40:45 No. 40:47 I'm not tired. 40:51 Can I say this nicely, but I'm getting tired of people 40:53 just saying it's not important. 40:56 Is it okay to say that? 40:58 Well, I don't know that, don't you upset some time, 40:59 you know what I mean? 41:01 We want people to hear it, and people to accept it. 41:05 Why? 41:07 Because you see over and over in Scripture, 41:08 it says the same things. 41:11 And so we know that it's established as truth, 41:14 but the world just doesn't hear it 41:16 because they don't want to hear it. 41:19 So it's tough. 41:20 I hear that we look for the coming of Jesus. 41:24 We're looking for the coming of Jesus right now but we can. 41:28 If you still have doubt, 41:31 and I know we covered an awful lot, 41:32 if you still have doubt here at what's being said, 41:37 let me just make it a little bit clearer, 41:41 the meaning, remember, the meaning of this man of sin, 41:46 his distinguishing characteristics, notice this, 41:51 of the man of sin. 41:53 Now notice, when you say, man, you look in the Bible, it says, 41:56 man, it's pointing out someone here, a definite man. 42:01 When you look up script, 42:02 it's pointing out there's a definite man, 42:06 a definite power, 42:09 and he's lawless. 42:13 You don't want to follow that. 42:14 I don't want to follow that. 42:15 It's not talking about individual 42:17 in their relationship. 42:18 It's talking about here. 42:19 The Bible says this, I know, 42:21 I'm reading what the Bible says. 42:24 Yeah. They call him the... 42:25 Remember the Bible said he's the mystery of iniquity, 42:29 the son of perdition that calls him wicked. 42:34 And I've said 100 times, and I'll say it 100, 42:36 God gives me strength to do it. 42:38 That represents the papacy, there's no doubt about it. 42:42 You can see that power. 42:45 You say, "Well, I haven't really studied." 42:46 Well, bless your heart. 42:47 If you study Daniel Chapter 2 42:49 and are you going to get Babylon, 42:50 and then you're going to get what power? 42:51 Medo-Persia, Greece, right? 42:53 Isn't that right? 42:54 Rome, and then what? 42:56 Be a pagan Rome naturally, 42:57 and what comes up among those 10 nations, 42:59 little horn, the papal power is next. 43:02 There's no doubt about it. 43:03 God calls this power right here, 43:05 is the man of sin, the one who's lawless, 43:08 the one who's going to try to change everything 43:09 that God stands for. 43:12 And you'll find as we look at these things, 43:13 and we've studied over and over for weeks in the past 43:17 about different subjects, 43:18 and where they came from, from the Roman church. 43:21 They're the counterfeit, not talking about people, 43:24 not trying to make a judgement on it. 43:25 But we have to come to the point 43:27 where we say by the grace of God. 43:30 Listen, the Bible predicts it and Daniel, 43:33 somebody help me, is it Daniel 8:12? 43:36 Daniel 8:12, it said this power, 43:40 lo, "This power cast the truth down to the earth," 43:45 and then what did on it? 43:48 What other religious power has cast the truth 43:50 down and stomped on it? 43:54 Okay, nobody wants to say it, I'm all right. 43:56 There'll be somebody that will listen. 43:58 They're going to be somebody that's going to say, 43:59 the Bible said this power cast the truth 44:02 of God down to the ground. 44:05 You say, "Well, I need a little more." 44:07 Let me give you a little bit more. 44:09 The Great Controversy, page 65, right? 44:12 Now what? What did he cast down? 44:14 "The law of God was trampled to the ground, 44:20 and tradition and customs 44:24 of men exalted." 44:27 Remember, the Roman Church simply says it, 44:29 how do we want to go along 44:30 with what they've been teaching? 44:31 It says what? 44:33 We hold that tradition is above the Bible 44:35 in their own right, why? 44:40 You see what I mean? 44:42 I thought we Bible belt people in Christians. 44:45 We say it must be in the Word of God. 44:47 We're not going to go for it. 44:50 And yet you look at all of these things, 44:51 I'm gonna say it, God has said. 44:54 When you look at Sunday, Sabbath and Sunday issue, 44:57 remember, they said within their writings over and over, 44:59 and I can give you thousands of them. 45:01 We the Catholic Church changed Saturday, 45:02 the seventh day of the week to Sunday, 45:03 the first day of the week, 45:05 because we have the power and authority to do so 45:06 the world pays homage to us, 45:08 in spite of themselves by going to church on a day 45:10 that we made. 45:14 I'm not trying to be ugly, 45:18 I'm just trying to say there is a truth or it's not? 45:20 If it's not important, 45:21 then I'll just keep my mouth shut and sit down. 45:24 But I just feel like I can't, because they say this. 45:29 Remember Daniel 7:25, Herb, what does it say? 45:32 And he shall think to do what? 45:34 He shall think to change what? 45:35 Times and laws. 45:37 And remember, he thinks 45:39 the world has based and remember, 45:41 and they follow what? 45:43 The world follows after this power. 45:45 Remember, they follow after him after 1260 years. 45:49 Daniel talks about then and Revelation says what? 45:51 Then he receives a deadly root wound in Revelation 13, 45:55 isn't it deadly wound? 45:56 Remember before that 45:58 all the world wonders after the beast. 45:59 That means they're simply, 46:01 that means they don't join the church. 46:02 That's simply saying they're doing something 46:03 that he has held up that he's changed. 46:05 He said, we've changed it because we have the power to do 46:07 so because we are God on earth. 46:10 That's blasphemy. 46:12 I can give you those quotes. 46:13 I'm telling you, 46:14 why is it that we listen to this kind of stuff. 46:17 Listen to the Word of God. 46:18 God says, remember, He says, 46:21 "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy, 46:22 six days shall thou labor and do all thy work, 46:25 but the seventh day is a Sabbath 46:26 of the Lord thy God." 46:27 It ends there. 46:29 For me, it ends there, I don't need a lot of others. 46:32 It's the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. 46:37 To me that just, it's God's day. 46:40 It doesn't belong to Adventist, 46:41 it doesn't belong to Seventh-day Baptist, 46:43 it doesn't belong the Seventh-day Church of God, 46:45 there are such a thing as you know. 46:48 But the remnant church is identified in two marks, 46:51 they keep the commandments God and have the faith of Jesus 46:54 or the testimony of Jesus, 46:55 or the Spirit of Prophecy operating in the church, 46:58 until Jesus will come. 46:59 It's a gift in the New Testament Church. 47:01 It's going to operate till Jesus comes. 47:03 We need that help. 47:05 We need that help right now. 47:07 Lord, have mercy on me, I need that help. 47:09 I need that understanding 47:11 that God said I'm going to give. 47:12 I've given it all through the ages, 47:13 from the beginning of time, 47:15 I've had My children, I've had my servant, 47:16 I've revealed them things to them 47:19 so that they can reveal them to you and me 47:21 so that we can follow. 47:25 Paul says, a time is coming 47:29 when men would turn into fables. 47:34 See, it's what people doing, majority, 47:36 the people, they come in here in this place 47:38 with jam packed and food and we cut another line out, 47:40 you know what they say? 47:41 Give us a fable. 47:42 I could get up here and preach, 47:45 I almost said damnable heresies. 47:47 Can I say that? 47:51 Could preach heresies and untruth, 47:54 and people would love it. 47:56 Are you still with me? 47:58 And they want to come back for more. 47:59 But when they hear things like this they are saying, 48:01 "Oh, this it can't possibly be." 48:03 Even though the word just says it's so plain. 48:06 It's traced to history. 48:09 I mean, you can trace it so simple 48:11 what we're talking about here. 48:13 It can't go. 48:15 Who changed the time? 48:18 There are just a few minutes left. 48:20 I'm nowhere even near half done. 48:24 Sorry for you. 48:28 Paul says what? 48:30 They're going to love fables. 48:31 They're not going to love the truth. 48:32 Majority is not going to accept it. 48:34 They're not going to listen to you. 48:35 They're going to throw you out. 48:37 They don't want to hear it. 48:38 Their ear is tingle, 48:40 but they don't tingle because of truth. 48:41 They tingling because that hurts them 48:42 and they don't want and they know 48:44 they're not going to change. 48:45 And the best thing is, we're going to get out of here. 48:48 Read that 1 Timothy 4, 48:49 just read the whole chapter verses 1 through 3 48:51 and 2 Timothy 4:3-4, just read those. 48:54 John even says in 1 John 2:18. 48:57 He said at that time, 48:59 he said there's going to be an awful lot of false prophets. 49:01 You remember that, Antichrist? 49:03 They said they're operating now. 49:04 Do you remember that? 49:07 Jesus said false prophets. 49:10 Matthew 7:15, 24, 24. 49:13 We have the spirit of rebellion 49:16 that's working rampant in our world today. 49:19 There's a falling away. 49:21 And let me say the falling away 49:22 when Paul was talking about there, 49:24 you know, was partially fulfilled 49:26 in Paul's day. 49:28 Partially fulfilled in the Dark Ages, 49:31 the 1260 years of prophecy, 49:34 but the complete fulfillment 49:35 will be just before Jesus comes. 49:38 This is excitement for us today 49:41 which we don't have much time left. 49:43 Deceptions and schemes in the world. 49:48 The enemy is trying to get rid of the people of God 49:51 because the Bible said, these make war with the Lamb. 49:55 There's a group right that the world, 49:57 Revelation 17:14, they make war with the Lamb. 50:00 You make war with the Lamb all you want, 50:02 you're not going to win. 50:04 You can't make war with the Lamb and win. 50:06 You might think you can, you cannot, I cannot. 50:11 And what is he going to use? 50:12 Revelation 16:13-14, he uses the spirit of devils, 50:16 he uses spiritualism in the world today. 50:18 These three evil spirits 50:20 that cause the world to all come together. 50:22 When you see the world uniting and coming together, 50:24 and they will eventually, right? 50:26 For one hour in Revelation 17 with the beast, the short time, 50:32 that will be and that may be debatable to a lot of people, 50:34 but that will be after probation 50:35 has already closed. 50:37 But there will be a coming together, 50:38 not another world power, 50:40 but while probation is still open. 50:41 But afterwards the world will unite together. 50:43 You have Revelation 16:13-14, evil spirit. 50:47 Let me tell you, spiritualism 50:49 is going to be involved in the last day. 50:50 Demons, did you get it? 50:52 The beast is going to be involved. 50:54 and Revelation 17, 50:56 that's the papacy is involved. 50:58 And the United States of America 51:00 is going to be involved. 51:02 The United States of America supports the first beast 51:05 which is the papacy, and they make what? 51:08 Make an image to the beast. 51:10 It's just too much here just take time 51:11 to prove and go through everything. 51:13 But listen, when you talk about today, 51:15 you think spiritualism is not rampant in the world today. 51:19 Spiritualism is rampant in the world. 51:20 This started when I was just a child growing up 51:22 when they had things on TV like Casper the Ghost. 51:28 Some of you are not going to get it. 51:30 Yeah, ain't that right? 51:33 When they had things on there, like, you know, Bewitched. 51:42 You see what I'm talking about? 51:44 This was setting us up. 51:48 We laughed at it, 51:49 and we probably got tickled about it, 51:50 but we realized that the enemy was setting all this up, 51:53 that the dead can still speak to us, 51:55 that the dead can come back, 51:56 because we don't know the truth of what happens when you die. 51:59 When you're dead, you're dead, 52:01 you don't come back to this life. 52:03 The enemy can make it appear. 52:08 When you think about, listen, just around us all the time, 52:11 contemplative prayer, spiritual formation, 52:15 centering down, centering prayer, 52:18 hypnotism, mind emptying, all this stuff, 52:21 in time don't sit down empty your mind 52:23 because the devil will fill it up. 52:26 That mind God give you to put thought to His Word 52:29 that we will not be deceived. 52:32 We live in a world today, the enemy continues to, 52:37 I'm telling you, where are we headed? 52:38 Maybe this is it, we ended up here today. 52:40 Where are we really heading? 52:42 We hardly got into it at all. 52:43 But already we're seeing 52:45 what's taking place in the world 52:46 is transforming our society. 52:49 We are a changed country. 52:51 Things are being tightened around us. 52:53 It's like a boa constrictor. 52:55 We take a little breath and suck in 52:56 and he tightens around us again. 52:58 That's what the enemy is doing right now. 53:00 Censorship is wild. 53:02 Our religious liberties are being taken 53:03 from us right now. 53:05 It's spreading intolerance for one another. 53:09 If anybody has different views than what you have men 53:11 they say get rid of them. 53:13 We don't want to hear anybody's different idea. 53:14 There's severe punishment for those of us 53:16 who stand for what is truth. 53:18 You stand for truth, dear friend, 53:19 you're on the line right now. 53:22 Somebody thinks, 53:23 you went too far on a speech right quit, 53:25 they start calling for severe action right now. 53:27 They called you to resign. 53:29 I don't care what office you are in, in this country, 53:31 more troubling our country, 53:32 our companies and businesses and leaders 53:35 who panic when something said about their company 53:38 or something else in the world 53:39 where they can't make any sales. 53:41 Right? 53:42 They threaten them and they wanna say, 53:44 "Oh, we want something quick to happen to these people. 53:48 Let's put them out of their misery. 53:49 Let's punish them." 53:51 And many times the punishment doesn't fit 53:53 the so-called crime. 53:55 How bad is it gotten over? 53:58 Editors are fired for writing about controversial subjects. 54:01 How bad has it gotten? 54:03 Books are rejected because someone says 54:05 it's not authoritative. 54:06 Journalists are told not to write on certain topics. 54:09 Professors are called to the carpet 54:11 for quoting works of literature, 54:13 been there for a years. 54:15 Heads of organizations are fired 54:17 for a simple, honest mistake. 54:20 You know, can we see the boundaries 54:21 of what's happening right here?
