00:40 to Behold the Lamb Presents. 00:42 I'm Chris Shelton, your host. 00:43 I wanna thank you for joining us. 00:46 Today's message is entitled Labor Unions: 00:49 A Sign of the End! 00:51 Over the past year, we've heard more about 00:53 unions in the news than we've heard in quite 00:56 a few years, especially the teachers union. 00:59 We've witnessed the power that they have to control 01:02 our lives through the decisions that they're making 01:04 with the education of our precious children, 01:07 or the lack thereof during the time of COVID 01:10 and now subsequent variant outbreaks. 01:13 I don't believe that the initial 01:15 reason for the development of labor unions were all bad. 01:19 And certainly they have helped individuals at times, 01:23 but I'm sure that many of you are familiar 01:25 with a saying that says absolute 01:28 power corrupts absolutely. 01:32 The mentality of unions is power 01:35 without regard to human rights of others outside 01:38 of their union in many cases. 01:40 Pastor Kenny Shelton has experienced this life 01:43 threatening power from labor unions in the past, 01:46 firsthand himself. 01:48 And we thank the God of heaven for sending him 01:52 the help that he needed at just 01:54 the right time that he needed it 01:56 in order to preserve his life. 01:58 Do we have any counsel 02:00 in which to follow in regards to unions? 07:32 God is good all the time. 07:35 We're gonna be talking about today, 07:36 which I believe will be of an interest to some, 07:38 others will say I don't see how it fits, 07:40 but let's give it some time, as we build. 07:42 We're gonna be talking about the Labor Unions: 07:45 A Sign of the End! 07:47 Now remember, just talk about labor unions, 07:49 I have no desire to talk about just Labor Unions. 07:53 But I have a desire to talk about them, 07:55 when they relate to things that are happening in the world, 07:58 when we see them in agitation, 08:00 when we see how they are controlling the world. 08:05 Are you there? 08:06 They are, they can 08:08 and they are trying to control the world 08:09 through that which they are in charge of. 08:13 And if you don't think so just look, you say well, 08:15 union is not. 08:16 Hey, everything you go, you look at, 08:18 let's say for instance, give quick instance 08:19 before we have prayer, think about if the... 08:22 We talk about the teamsters or the truckers. 08:24 I need be careful about that because I call it 08:27 a truck driver. 08:28 And one of my best friends said, 08:29 "Don't you call me no truck driver." 08:31 He was offended. 08:33 And I said, "Well, why not?" 08:34 I thought that's when you drove a truck, you're truck driver. 08:36 I don't see anything wrong with it. 08:38 And he started give some kind of a name, 08:40 you know how they change the names 08:41 of everything right now. 08:42 And he's talking about some kind of a professional 08:45 something the other and I thought how interesting 08:47 we change the name, but it's still the same. 08:50 You know, we're doing that in the world, 08:51 we're changing the name of things, 08:53 but they're still the same. 08:55 And so we're gonna look at this, 08:57 how these things if that happened to close down 09:00 just one union with just the truck drivers, 09:02 for instance, what would that do to the place where you live? 09:06 What would that do to this country? 09:08 If all we say the 18 wheelers closed down, 09:11 we would all just bring it to a halt. 09:14 And that's just one, then the automakers 09:16 and the teachers union. 09:19 We'll talk about some of those things 09:21 after we have prayer. 09:22 I'm going to pray right now and please pray with me. 09:23 Those of you at home, thank you for praying with me, 09:26 as you say in the cards and letters when you kneel 09:28 when we're at home, we kneel with you, thank you for that. 09:30 Let's pray. 09:32 Father in Heaven, again, we invite Thy Holy Spirit 09:35 and Thy presence, Lord, we come as somebody, 09:38 just bear we have nothing with our own to give. 09:40 But through the power of thy Holy Spirit 09:42 You have everything to give to Your people. 09:44 You want us to know the hour in which we live. 09:47 You want us to be just to come alive 09:49 with these issues that are going on in the world 09:51 that simply just tell us of the coming of Jesus. 09:54 Help us to be ready, open our hearts and our minds now, 09:57 may the things of earth be laid outside 10:00 and we wanna enjoy heaven's company in Jesus' name, amen. 10:05 Let's go to our scripture reading I want to just 10:07 and again, this is just kind of a foundation, 10:10 as we want to get into it and found in the Book 10:11 of Jeremiah, Jeremiah Chapter 26. 10:15 Now remember, this is just 10:17 a basis for what we're building on here. 10:20 See how it fits in your life today, 10:21 or how as we've come to church today. 10:24 Jeremiah 26, starting with verse 2, 10:27 and then we'll read verses what? 10:29 Four through six. 10:30 Remember these are powerful words that God 10:34 is challenging us with today 10:36 and you may be questioned why you came today. 10:40 Why you're here? 10:43 And the Holy Spirit I know will speak to you. 10:45 Verse 2, Jeremiah 26. 10:48 "Thus saith the Lord," it starts out good, doesn't it? 10:51 "Stand in the court of the Lord's house." 10:54 Is it possible we're standing in the court 10:56 of the Lord's house? 10:58 Is it possible we're standing in the presence of the power, 11:01 right, of all of heaven? 11:03 Right? 11:05 All of heaven is viewing this little group 11:09 with a watchful eye and a caring eye. 11:13 "And they speak unto all the cities of Judah, 11:16 which come to worship in the Lord's house." 11:19 So that means everything, everything's going on here, 11:21 the Lord wants to speak to us, we're in His house. 11:23 "The words that I command thee to speak unto them, 11:26 diminish, not a word." 11:28 Not gonna spend a lot of time on this but notice, 11:30 I like this diminish what? 11:32 Not a word. 11:34 Some people say, basically diminish, 11:36 keep a little bit quiet. 11:38 Don't bring that up. 11:41 And then if you bring it up, it's something like, 11:43 you're gonna get yourself in trouble. 11:45 I've heard before, you've got your foot in your mouth. 11:48 And my response usually, 11:49 I know where my foot's at and I know about 11:51 what's gonna get ready to happen. 11:54 Are you still with me? 11:56 Yeah, because we cannot take the threats. 12:00 We cannot take those who are maybe 12:01 trying to get you to be quiet. 12:03 Because do you know what you're getting ready to get? 12:04 My mother always said, Be careful, Kenny, you know, 12:07 bite what is your nose to spite your face. 12:10 Is that don't bite your nose off to spite your face. 12:12 What is that saying? 12:14 Something like that, don't bite your nose off. 12:17 We have to be very careful. But you know what? 12:21 My Bible says don't diminish a word here, 12:24 give it as God gives it. 12:26 Verse 4, "And thou shalt say unto them, 12:28 thus saith the Lord, if thou will not 12:30 hearken to me to walk in my law, 12:32 which I have set before you." 12:35 Very in it to walk in His what? 12:37 Not to do away with it, don't worry about it. 12:39 He said He wants us to walk in the law, 12:41 I've set it before you, you understand it is plain. 12:45 And now I'm asking you by, 12:46 you know, by faith in Me that you walk in My Word. 12:50 Five, "To hearken the words of my servants, the prophets." 12:55 What a different world this would be if we just simply 12:57 hearkened to the words of God's prophets. 13:00 To those who are preaching what is truth from the Word 13:03 of God not diminishing anything? 13:06 He said, "Whom I sent unto you, both rising up early, 13:09 sending them but ye have not hearkened." 13:12 How sad that must be that God of heaven 13:15 looks down to poor man, the dust of the earth, 13:19 none good, no, not one. 13:21 And He said, I'm telling you all these things that will help 13:23 you and you just won't listen. 13:26 I send them early, I send them late. 13:28 I send you warning after warning. 13:31 And my prophets you're killing, you're throwing them out. 13:33 You don't want them around. 13:34 You don't want to hear what is truth. 13:37 I want you to listen, notice what he says. 13:39 Then I will make if you won't listen, 13:41 I will make your house like Shiloh, 13:42 I will make the city a curse to all 13:45 the nations of the earth. 13:46 And we realize that diminished, right, 13:48 destruct and just completely wiped out. 13:54 We must realize this week, a lot of things are happening. 13:58 A lot of things, we know for the year and half, 14:00 but just this week, some of the little news 14:02 clips that you have, that tells us 14:04 some of the things that we've talked about a year, 14:06 a year and a half ago that people said 14:08 you need to be quiet on, don't mention those things 14:10 because you know, they probably won't come to pass, 14:12 they have come to pass, not because it's... 14:16 Because the Holy Spirit impresses, right? 14:19 And looking at Bible prophecy, you can put them together 14:21 and you can see it. 14:22 When you have things like 14:24 ways to communicate this message to the world. 14:27 We say like Twitter. 14:29 You know, Twitter is looking at some 14:31 people that are taking them off 14:32 and things that they say they don't want to hear 14:34 because it's not popular but yet Twitter allows 14:36 the Taliban to put up 14:38 some of their tweets or their messages. 14:43 If you're looking for justice, 14:44 don't look for it in this world. 14:46 It's not going to happen only in the world to come. 14:50 Of all these families was mentioned here 14:52 and we've been praying for the families in Afghanistan. 14:54 I mean, they need to come out, the US families. 14:58 They're those who, you know, 15:00 and they're pleading for their life right now, 15:02 they're pleading for help. 15:04 We need to be praying for them. 15:05 And also we look at here, we talked about we thought, 15:07 well, the COVID thing and all this, you know, 15:10 you have to have a vaccine passport and all that. 15:12 People said, oh, don't even mention that, 15:14 because that's not going to happen. 15:16 It's happening. It's happening. 15:18 We need to listen, nothing's too far 15:21 out for the devil right now. 15:23 Nothing's too far out, at least think, right? 15:27 At least think is this possible? 15:29 Well, you say, well, you know that the Raiders, 15:32 the football team. 15:34 You heard that this week? 15:36 They're gonna require all people 15:37 who attend the Raiders games, outdoors, right? 15:41 Notice this. 15:42 They have to be vaccinated before they can watch the game. 15:48 Interesting, is it? 15:49 Remember, this is kind of a study type 15:51 thing but you watch it as it this mingles 15:54 and grows into others. 15:57 You know hate it, you hate to see 15:58 the things that are going on the tens thousands 16:00 of people lost their homes 16:02 and several thousand their lives, 16:04 you know, and some of the things, earthquakes 16:06 because they said in the last days, 16:07 we'll see these things, right? 16:09 There'll be growing, 16:10 there'll be one right on the heels of the other end 16:13 the loss of life and homes, 16:14 and we need to be praying for this people. 16:16 And here in Southern Illinois 16:19 and we know this for a fact because our daughter 16:22 works at this hospital in Carbondale, 16:24 they're gonna be required 16:26 all to be vaccinated. 16:30 Yeah, to be vaccinated, 16:34 if they're not, they're gonna lose their job. 16:38 Here, this Carbondale Hospital, 16:40 you're going to be vaccinated or you don't work here. 16:44 See, we thought what? 16:46 Six months ago, a year ago, that's not gonna 16:47 happen in this country. 16:48 Who's fooling who here? Right? 16:51 We knew it's gonna happen because this is signs 16:53 of the time and that enemy always uses force, doesn't he? 16:58 To try to make you do what he wants you to do 17:00 and most time if we are challenged with our job, 17:04 we will take the job over right. 17:08 You have to decide for yourself, 17:09 I'm going to decide for myself. 17:14 I saw, I think it's the weather channel 17:16 or whatever it was it so, it's a sponsored content 17:21 of the message you can find on weather.com 17:24 They're already making little things that you can 17:26 wear like wristband, one with blue 17:29 wristband on there that says something like, 17:32 I show by wearing this I've taken my vaccine. 17:35 I'm thinking rather I'm taking it, you know? 17:37 Yeah. Yeah. 17:42 New York this week, 17:43 we realize there's required proof of vaccination 17:46 before entering restaurants, before entering any kind 17:50 of fitness center. 17:52 Before you can go to any kind 17:54 of entertainment now you have to show 17:56 proof that you've been vaccinated. 18:01 August the 4th, 2021, 18:04 Mayor Bill de Blasio said this. 18:07 He said you get your shot is going to be the key, 18:10 basically to motivate around New York City. 18:13 That's going to be the key, you notice that, 18:15 he called it the pass. 18:17 He says what's so wrong with that, 18:19 that's similar to what France has already done 18:21 and what Italy has already done. 18:24 Isn't that interesting words that we talk about France 18:26 and Italy. 18:28 You know what's in Italy, don't you? 18:30 Setting the stage. 18:33 According to New York, 18:35 CBS, that's a local channel local.com says this, 18:40 New York City Council Health Committee, 18:42 Chairman Mark Levine said this, 18:45 this will help people to get vaccinated. 18:49 Other words what? 18:50 You're gonna have to have pass, we're gonna require that you 18:52 have before you can go here, before you can do any 18:54 of these things here. 18:56 This is gonna help, basically force them to be vaccinated. 18:59 Another man said this, oh, man, basically what's the big deal? 19:03 It's very simple, he said, I carry my wallet with me. 19:07 You know, and when I go anyplace 19:09 all I have to do is pull out my wallet 19:11 and show them, notice this, and show them my card. 19:17 What do you think they're planning 19:18 and they're doing already and show them the card 19:20 and you can just go where you want, 19:21 do what you want. 19:22 And then others are saying, well, you may be vaccinated 19:24 but you still have to wear your mask 19:26 and some saying wear the double mask and it goes on and on. 19:31 New York starting in September, 19:33 I'm just saying this is where things start, 19:35 and it begins to trickle and becomes to us, 19:37 and it'll become very quickly here by September 13 19:40 that's not too long off, right? 19:42 September 13 right here and you're gonna require 19:44 all municipal workers. 19:46 All that works for New York City 19:47 knows this to be vaccinated by September 13 or face 19:52 a weekly testing for COVID. 19:56 The all new employees, if you're new employees, 19:59 you have to give proof of your vaccination. 20:01 In other words, they're not gonna hire anybody or you 20:03 may be hired now. 20:04 But if you don't take it, and then we're gonna, 20:06 every week, we're gonna call you into the office, 20:08 every week, we're gonna make you pay a price, 20:10 you're gonna have to be tested every week. 20:12 In other words, we're gonna make it so, 20:13 can I say this so miserable, 20:15 so aggravating that you're gonna say, 20:16 just give me the shot and get it over with it. 20:20 Beware, my brothers and sisters, 20:21 this is just forced to be thinking. 20:25 There's more, I wished it was over, 20:27 it seemed like it was winding down. 20:29 But then we get into the delta and different ones, 20:31 you know, from the COVID-19, and delta, 20:33 and we're looking at a third strain that's coming out 20:35 and they're saying this is gonna be the most deadly. 20:39 Coming January, February, March, 20:42 somewhere around in there, 20:43 some of those who have predicted what would happen 20:46 a year or so ago, 20:47 when people were laughing at him are saying right now, 20:49 beware, because this is a strain that's even 20:51 more deadly, that affects the immune system, 20:54 just like the others do, to where you have 20:57 nothing to fight off these things. 20:59 That's why what my wife was talking about 21:01 stuff that's going on here, 21:02 you need to be interested in for you and for your family. 21:04 And I do too, and I am interested in it. 21:08 Because there are things that God has in nature 21:10 that will help us, 21:12 things He has natural things that will help us gain 21:15 what we need here in this world. 21:18 So January, February, March 21:22 could be a new strain they're saying, 21:25 we don't know that. 21:26 But they said there could be, 21:28 we need to be a well aware of that. 21:31 Why we need to, the Bible said we read don't diminish 21:35 a word of it. 21:37 Other words, lay it out there. Why? 21:38 Because we want this stuff to be over. 21:41 We want to be like it used to be. 21:43 But I've said many times up front, 21:45 don't ever think at least in my mind 21:47 don't ever think that we're going to go back 21:49 the way it used to be a year or two years ago, 21:51 it will not. 21:52 Again, my brother always said the proofs in the pudding. 21:56 Proofs in the pudding, what we're talking about here, 21:58 is look at how many changes have taken place in the last 22:00 several years. 22:01 And have we ever went back and regain? 22:03 No, we never. 22:05 It's just more restrictions and more laws and more rules. 22:08 And that's where it's gonna be because the devil is gonna 22:10 tighten the noose around God's last day people. 22:13 He's tightened it right now. 22:15 And for those who are not, to me, spending time realizing 22:18 what the enemy's doing, 22:19 we need to get back to the Word of God. 22:22 In the beginning, God said you remember in Genesis 22:25 1:28-29, kind of paraphrasing a little bit. 22:29 It said the man was made and he was to have dominion, 22:33 you remember, over everything of the earth, 22:35 and then what was in the sea and the land and everything, 22:37 he was had dominion over 22:39 everything that moveth on the earth, 22:41 and the fruit of every tree, seed yielding tree, 22:46 every herb. 22:48 Verse 31 simply says, and it was good. 22:51 It was good because God made it because God's 22:54 set it up that way. 22:55 But just keep that in mind as we go that He said, 22:58 man's gonna have dominion over everything. 23:01 God seen fit to put it that way. 23:04 But what has man done with these things? 23:07 What is he doing with them today? 23:10 Of course, after sin came in, the Bible said because of sin, 23:15 Eve would have to bring forth children, you remember that. 23:20 And then he said, and man would have to work 23:22 six days by the sweat of his brow. 23:25 Interesting that woman would have to travail in pain. 23:29 And man would have to work for six days in order to eat. 23:34 When everything was provided 23:36 and when I say free that God gave them before sin 23:38 and before they decide to do their own thing. 23:41 Adam wouldn't have to work. 23:44 You notice what they would, 23:47 this would occupy most of their time. 23:51 Interesting. 23:52 Before sin, you know, right, 23:54 God was having them in the garden, 23:55 He spent time with them. 23:56 And then they could praise God and see all 23:58 the creative things. 23:59 But after sin came, God said, they need to be busy. 24:03 Now this all plays into part so you need to keep your mind 24:05 and hearts open right now. 24:06 This plays a part in what and I'm gonna 24:08 mention again, in just a moment of the dumbing down 24:11 of America. 24:14 And the closing down of schools by unions. 24:22 Not to have to learn or not have to be worried 24:25 about working. 24:29 God said it, where work would be a blessing, 24:31 it would keep them out of trouble 24:32 as it keeps us out of trouble today. 24:35 Isn't that right? 24:36 If we're busy, it kind of keeps us out of trouble. 24:39 Ministry of Healing, a book that I thoroughly love 24:42 and I've read it many times and insist, it's good, 24:44 page 177 says notice, 24:46 "Encourage every effort toward self-support." 24:50 Come on somebody. 24:51 "This will strengthen self-respect 24:53 and a noble independence. 24:56 And occupation of mind and body, 24:58 notice this, occupation of mind and body is useful work, 25:02 and essentially and a safeguard against temptation." 25:06 Now, why are we saying God gave us what? 25:09 Work to do, isn't that right? 25:11 Something that will keep us 25:12 busy because it would be a safeguard 25:15 against temptation. 25:17 Do you find that? Oh, absolutely. 25:19 We find it in the world today. 25:21 Interesting. 25:22 2 Thessalonians 3:10, 25:23 we'll talk more about that in just a moment. 25:26 Notice what the Bible says, 2 Thessalonians 3:10. 25:28 "For even when we were with you, 25:31 this was commanded to you that if any would not work, 25:35 neither should eat." 25:36 If you're capable of working 25:38 and you don't work, you shouldn't eat. 25:40 Now we realize there's some who worked all their life 25:41 and they're retired, blah-blah. 25:43 We're talking about the lazy one. 25:45 Can I say that? 25:47 Now, the lazy one, big healthy, 25:50 strapping man who wants to set home on his backside. 25:55 Should I leave it at that? 25:57 And do nothing, 25:59 and what he wants you to do is go to work 26:00 so he can stay home. 26:03 Okay, I need to get out of my system. 26:04 I'll keep going. 26:08 It's true. 26:10 And the Bible said if he's capable, 26:12 and he should, you know, physically able, 26:14 mentally able to do it, he should do it. 26:16 If he don't, he don't need to eat. 26:17 You take a man and you take food away from person, 26:19 he's gonna want if he's able, he's gonna want to work. 26:22 Isn't that true? Get a little bit hungry. 26:24 You'll say, what is that I can do? 26:29 You're not too good to do anything. 26:31 Get out there in the sewer. 26:33 Okay. 26:34 You can get to eat. 26:37 It's been said and you've heard it many times 26:39 and my dad's kinda... 26:41 We grew up hearing these kind of things that idle 26:44 hands are the devil's workshop. 26:47 That right? Idle hands. 26:48 Now this is all a point. 26:49 So get it here, what's happening in the world today. 26:52 The devil wants idle hands in society today 26:55 where he can work you and me over. 26:58 And that's what some of these people doing. 27:00 How can you go... I'll be careful. 27:02 How can some people just wanna go on protest for two, three, 27:05 four, five, six months, never go home? 27:08 Well, where's their home? 27:09 Who's taking care of their home? 27:11 Who's mowing the grass for them? 27:12 I can't go any place for a week, 27:13 two weeks doesn't by mowing the grass, 27:15 taking care of the dogs and the cats 27:18 and the chickens if you have whatever, you know what I mean? 27:22 It makes it, you see what I'm talking about here. 27:24 But some people could be gone for months 27:26 and who's making their house payment? 27:29 Okay, it's none of my business. All right. 27:31 But you see what I'm saying? 27:33 The devil's turn, he's got a plan here. 27:36 Idle hands are the devil's workshop 27:38 and that word translated. 27:39 It's his play thing. 27:42 It's his tools. 27:44 You ever says to see the tools in the toolbox. 27:48 The devil finds work for idle hands. 27:53 The devil what? 27:54 Finds work for idle hands 27:58 and you know that too, because you got idle time, 28:00 you're sitting by doing nothing, as you know. 28:02 And again, we're talking about people's able and aged 28:04 and some can do whatever here. 28:05 All of a sudden, he's putting things in your mind that you 28:08 could be doing. 28:10 Well, one man said 28:14 one time nothing good comes from boredom. 28:18 Nothing good comes from what? 28:20 From boredom. 28:24 What another man said engage in some occupation 28:27 so that the devil may find you busy. 28:31 Engage in occupation when the devil comes, 28:33 he finds you busy. 28:36 Lazy mind is the devil's house. 28:42 The mind that is lazy or idle 28:47 always thinks negatively about everything. 28:50 Right? 28:51 The devil comes in and says, now this is not good, 28:53 oh, it's not good, blah-blah. 28:55 I always say people comes in, well, I'll tell you I'm bored. 28:57 I'd say get busy, find something to do. 29:00 You know what I'm talking about? 29:02 I get maybe the points made on that, you got that? 29:06 Maybe that's just why this country 29:10 is paying people to stay home. 29:13 Did they or did they not? 29:15 Absolutely still going to that point 29:17 and maybe renew it, maybe they won't. 29:18 But they've done that, we realize 40% of the working 29:24 population stay home, 29:27 40% paid to stay home and not go to work. 29:30 They make more to stay home. 29:34 That's according to CNBC in May 9, 2021 29:38 when that talked about the bill that 2.2 trillion, 29:42 you know, economic relief bill was passed. 29:45 It's kind of a temptation, right? 29:47 That's kind of hard to pass up. 29:49 When you say I could stay home in an air condition. 29:52 I could make 500 or $600, I only make 300 a week. 29:55 Now I can make 600 by staying home. 30:03 We have to be careful that we don't support those who don't 30:06 want to work. 30:08 I'm just saying, we're seeing things backward 30:09 here in this country, there's a reason for it. 30:12 Let me read something to you from this, Manuscript 93,1899 30:16 reads this way. 30:18 "The custom of supporting men 30:19 and women in idleness by private gifts or church 30:23 money encourages them in a sinful habit. 30:27 This course should be conscientiously avoided. 30:30 Every man, woman, child should be educated to practical, 30:33 useful work. 30:35 All should learn some trade." Does that make sense? 30:38 All should learn what? 30:39 All should learn some, all should learn some trade. 30:43 It's very important that we learn a trade. 30:47 We have young men growing up today that they're 10, 12, 14 30:50 years old, they can't mow lawn. 30:56 And I always heard, right, that growing up there, 30:58 they had the girls in the house, 31:00 mama taught them to cook and to sew. 31:03 And to make like myself, 31:05 my mother made our shirts and things for us. 31:07 Now, one of the collars may be this long 31:09 and the other one up here, but we had a shirt. 31:14 And truthfully it was several times. 31:20 Hey, because you know what? 31:22 I found out that no one else could turn out 31:23 a shirt from the beginning to the end in 15 minutes 31:26 but my mother. 31:27 That's right. That's right. 31:29 And she didn't need a pattern. 31:32 Because she was, she would fast. 31:35 Say mom, we gotta collar like... 31:38 It doesn't matter, nobody gonna worry about your collar. 31:40 I'm worried about my collar. 31:43 Of course the kids at school found out they're worried 31:45 about it too. 31:48 You know what I'm talking about here. 31:52 But they were taught as she was ladies cook 31:57 and they sew and you pass that on to the little ones 31:59 as they grow up, and the boys, 32:01 the men teach them as to work is good. 32:03 We need to learn to work. 32:05 And now the world is saying, the enemy is saying, 32:07 you don't need to. 32:09 You do better by staying at home. 32:13 Proverbs 31:27, we are not to eat the bread 32:17 of idleness. 32:19 We are not to eat the bread of what? 32:21 Of idleness. 32:23 Another one, it's somewhere in Ecclesiastes 10:18, 32:26 it talks about, through idleness, 32:29 notice this, the hands of the house or the, 32:32 you know, it deteriorated or it fell or it fell down. 32:36 Because we were too lazy to fix 32:37 the things that need to be fixed in the home, 32:39 the house fell. 32:42 Hmm. 32:44 Nowadays it's just live in it too long as you can. 32:47 And when it falls down, we go get some 32:48 other place to tear up. 32:50 Okay. 32:52 There's present day changes that are taking place indicate 32:55 the stage is being set right now. 33:00 Just as the prophets told us at the end of time. 33:04 Keep this in mind, every sermon, everything 33:06 you read at the end of time. 33:10 And about how the nations would be deceived. 33:14 As they continue and we've been here 33:16 seeking to escape socialism and communism 33:19 here in this country. 33:21 Have we not? 33:22 Is it true, we're seeking try to get away from that. 33:25 And devil says, I know what they're trying to do, 33:27 I'll have something else and they'll be totally unaware 33:29 of what's going to happen. 33:32 They find themselves, 33:33 sometime we do are still finding 33:34 and falling into another web 33:37 of deceit from the enemy that he's created. 33:40 So what part has the dumbing down 33:42 of America played in all of this? 33:46 Maybe even think hard with me the unions of today. 33:51 The lack of work by choice. 33:57 Companies cannot open because they have no workers. 34:03 They're looking for workers. 34:05 I mean, when has this ever been, you think about it. 34:07 You know, before all this mess, everybody was, 34:10 you know, we need more jobs, need more jobs, 34:12 more jobs, now 19 million jobs and you can't find 34:14 the workers because they're paying them to stay home. 34:20 I found this in Fundamentals of Education, page 323. 34:24 It said, "The hope of advancing 34:25 the cause of God in this country." 34:27 The hope of what? Yeah, advancing. 34:30 Do we want to advance the cause of God in this country? 34:32 Absolutely. 34:34 "Is in creating a new moral 34:37 taste in love of work." 34:41 Now, how does that fit? 34:43 Notice, "Which will transform 34:46 the mind and character." 34:49 What does work do? 34:50 It's supposed to, God gave it to us to transform 34:53 the mind and the character, and the devil says, 34:56 put them out of work. 34:58 Therefore their mind won't be transformed 35:00 or will not be changed into my image. 35:03 And so he's working against scripture 35:05 which he will always do. 35:08 This makes a lot of sense when you think about it. 35:11 I mean, Romans 12:2 says that. 35:13 Remember, it says, "And be not conformed into," what? 35:16 "This world: but be ye transformed by the renewing 35:20 of your," what? 35:21 "Of your mind, that ye may," notice this, 35:24 "prove that which is good, and that which is acceptable, 35:27 and the perfect will of God." 35:31 I want you to help me, 35:32 it was really putting that to the test 35:33 every day of our life. 35:35 Be not conformed to this world, 35:36 if the world is doing it, don't do it. 35:40 Is that okay? 35:43 Think about if the world's doing it, don't do it. 35:47 Remember, I've said it many times before 35:49 when I wanted to go to Teen Town in high school. 35:51 That's where they danced. 35:53 Well, I'm 16 year old, got my own car, I'd never been to one. 35:57 Right, like I'm a junior in high school at that time. 35:59 And my brother Ronnie is a sophomore. 36:01 Remember this? 36:03 He said, we're gonna go. 36:05 He said, "Man, you better not, dad will beat you to death." 36:08 None of you ever heard that kind of stuff? 36:11 Well, you know what? 36:13 To me right there in that time being that young. 36:14 I said it's worth it. 36:15 Let him go ahead and beat and that's why I was in, 36:17 let him go ahead and beat me to death, I don't care. 36:19 I said, well, we got to keep it quiet now. 36:21 We gonna keep it quiet. 36:22 I said tonight, man, we're going, I'm gonna see 36:25 what they're doing in that little building 36:26 called Teen Town, 36:28 where music's coming out the windows. 36:31 Well, I had pretty good idea. But I'm going to go hosts. 36:34 So we went, we snuck out. 36:37 We might even, 36:39 you know, fabricated a little bit. 36:41 I'm not sure about where we were going. 36:44 Well. 36:46 We thought it wise not to tell where we were going. 36:51 And we went ahead and made sure 36:52 we went there because that way wasn't a lie. 36:54 Okay, you got it. 36:55 There's ways of getting around things, right? 36:57 So we did. 36:58 And so we went. 37:01 And me and my brother we're gonna, 37:03 we kind of snuck in the door a little bit here. 37:05 Like, it's like, we didn't belong, 37:06 and we knew we weren't supposed to go. 37:08 And that's as long as you live in this house, 37:09 you're not going to go those places. 37:11 And we said, well, we'll show him. 37:16 So we kind of went in, 37:17 we looked around for was there like 10 minutes. 37:20 We both looked at each other and said, 37:21 I don't know what all the hypes all about, 37:23 there's nothing going on here that we like or care about. 37:26 Anyway, let's go home. 37:28 I told Ronnie, Ronnie, when you go on the door, 37:30 act like you not been to place like that, 37:33 because I knew he's gonna be guilty. 37:34 You know what I mean. The guilt can get you, mama can read you. 37:37 She don't have to be looking at you. 37:40 She can look at the back of your head 37:41 and know what you're thinking. 37:44 And then she sometime will give you this, 37:45 so it slaps it around and she really know, 37:47 you know what I'm talking about. 37:50 So just before we opened the door and walked in, 37:52 I said, Ronnie, you know, you're not, 37:56 act like you haven't done anything wrong, man. 37:58 We just walked in the door like this, and mom was there. 38:01 Hey, mom, how you doing right there? 38:03 She looked at me. 38:04 She looked at Ronnie, said, "Ronnie, where you've been?" 38:09 I had the lying face evidently, 38:10 whatever it was because she couldn't read me 38:13 but she read him. 38:15 Where have you boys been? 38:18 We've been in uptown, blah-blah. 38:20 Where have you been? Ronnie is going why? 38:24 She said you've been where you're not 38:25 supposed to have been. 38:26 That's where you've been. You're not supposed to be. 38:29 Oh, he starts spilling the beans. 38:30 I wanna just well, I want to beat him. 38:33 Can I say that? 38:34 I want to work him over right then and right there. 38:36 I told you not to do that. 38:39 She read us. 38:42 Oh man, we got dad called us. 38:43 And I said I told you before 38:44 you're never to go to places like that. 38:46 Yeah. 39:06 You know what I mean? 39:07 You got done, you felt like you've just 39:08 really been tore up. 39:11 They said, I'll tell you what, I'll give you another warning. 39:13 Because if you ever go there again, 39:14 he said, just pack your bag and get out. 39:17 You won't come back in this house. 39:19 Long as you live here under this roof, 39:20 you will do as you're told to do 39:22 or you will not live here. 39:25 And he meant every word of it because he was that way, 39:27 he was faithful in what he said. 39:30 He always carried it through and I could count on that. 39:33 So he said just go on this time but never let it happen again. 39:40 You know, what does all this stuff mean right now? 39:45 I'm thankful for good home 39:48 training that we need from mothers 39:51 and fathers that love Jesus. 39:55 What does this all mean today? 39:59 When it says we need to be transformed by the renewing, 40:01 God, God knows. 40:03 And our folks knew that our mind 40:05 could not be transformed by loving the world 40:08 and the things that are in the world. 40:11 And they know that our minds, they knew our minds 40:12 needed to be transformed. 40:16 Romans Chapter 12, it says, be transformed, 40:18 but your sins are overcome 40:20 is what it's talking about here. 40:22 Evil thoughts are overcome. 40:23 Evil habits are overcome by the grace of God. 40:27 Bad dispositions and ugly attitudes are changed. 40:32 A new standard of character 40:33 is developed as we behold Christ. 40:38 Reading on, Fundamental to Education, 323, 40:40 you'll see how this kind 40:42 of fits in the time that we have. 40:43 "Physical labor has its place in God's plan for every man, 40:48 and His blessing will attend it." 40:51 Physical what? 40:53 Labor has its place in the plan of God. 40:57 Hopefully, I know, we all should really understand this. 40:59 But there's a huge issue I plead with you today, 41:02 there's huge issues that's taking place, 41:04 not only in the political world, but 41:06 in the religious world. 41:10 It's going around the world, it's in the whole world. 41:15 Big changes that have never taken place before. 41:18 And some of them were just was, 41:19 probably we had time to spend more on it. 41:21 But we really don't have that much time to it. 41:22 But let's give you a quick example here. 41:24 The United States and I talk about this a lot, 41:26 because I think it's so important 41:27 because it's in Bible prophecy. 41:29 When you talk about the Roman church, 41:31 I talk about it a lot. 41:32 And I need to because that's part of three angels' message, 41:35 warning the world against the mark of the beast. 41:39 United States has changed its position on how it views 41:43 the papacy. 41:46 Is that true? 41:48 You see, signs of the times, you can talk about it, 41:50 well, we don't want to hear about. 41:51 We need to hear about it, because these are signs 41:53 of the time that tell us where we are at. 41:56 Give just example. 41:57 Maybe you go back even to the 60s, you remember that, 41:59 when Kennedy ran for president and won. 42:04 Interesting that was in what? 42:05 1961 through 42:07 what he killed in '63. 42:11 When he first ran for president, 42:13 they said there's not going to be a Catholic 42:14 that's going to run this country. 42:16 That's not the Protestant position. 42:17 Is that true? 42:19 Some of you were around, no communal background there, 42:21 that's an uproar in this country. 42:25 So we can't have that. 42:26 And so Kennedy beat the odds as it were, 42:28 when he came up with this, he said this, he said, 42:31 I am not the Catholic candidate for president. 42:36 I'm the Democratic Party's candidate for president 42:41 who happens also to be Catholic. 42:46 It's in the 1950s, late 1950s. 42:49 The, you know, the political views, 42:52 the politician's view to openness, suspicion, 42:56 you know, the mainline Protestants 42:58 and the Evangelicals. 43:01 He said, because they have dual loyalties about 43:04 the values in the Vatican 43:07 and United States. 43:11 We know that it's changed because prophecy tells us, 43:14 Spirit of Prophecy tells us that our attitude will change. 43:17 This is part of prophecy being fulfilled before our very eyes 43:21 and has been for years now. 43:23 Give you a quick example again, 43:26 you know, Kenneth Copeland, do you not? 43:29 Kenneth Copeland said not too long ago, 43:31 and this is taken from eternallifeblog.com 43:35 He said, "Let's pray," notice it, 43:37 "pray for the Pope's heart of unity." 43:40 So he met with the Pope, 43:42 needs to talk with the Pope several times. 43:44 And he said, let's pray for the Pope's heart for unity. 43:49 Do you know what the Pope's heart for unity surrounds? 43:53 For all the churches to return back to the mother 43:57 church or the Catholic Church? 44:00 He says pray, you know, pray for the Pope. 44:05 Well, certainly we should be praying for the Pope 44:07 as we should be praying for everybody else. 44:11 Positions held by the Protestants in America 44:14 is going to change drastically before the coming of Jesus. 44:19 You can read that if we had more time in Five 44:21 Testimonies 451. 44:22 It talks about when the Protestant reach 44:24 your hands across," what? 44:25 "The gulf to grasp hand with the Roman power, 44:30 when she shall reach across the abyss to clasp hands 44:32 with spiritualism," talking about 44:34 the power that is dealing with here, 44:36 "who under the influence of the threefold power 44:40 of our country, United States shall repudiate, notice, 44:43 every principle of its Constitution. 44:45 That is either true or it's not. 44:47 I tell you this part here is already fulfilled. 44:50 We have repudiated every principle of our Constitution 44:53 right now. 44:54 You have no Bill of Rights, you have no Constitution. 44:57 It may be their lawyers have already figured 44:59 out ways, I've said it many times, I continue to say it, 45:02 a way to work around every one of them. 45:04 And you know what? 45:06 They can work around every one of those principles by just 45:08 simply saying, it's a crisis, and especially a health crisis. 45:12 And they said work and health crisis. 45:14 So everything they can overrule what you say 45:17 is that things that would protect you. 45:22 We need to really think about what the enemy 45:24 is doing right now. 45:26 The importance is very, very, 45:28 I think it's really important right now. 45:29 Great Controversy 566, 45:31 "Protestants have tampered with, 45:33 notice this, the papacy, they made compromise 45:35 and concessions with papists themselves are surprised to see 45:39 and fail to understand." 45:41 Things are happening. Isn't that right? 45:43 Right now we're changing. 45:44 But it says here, notice, 45:46 the people need to be aroused to resist the advances 45:49 of the most dangerous foe to civil and religious liberty. 45:54 See, if we don't take this serious right now, 45:56 if we don't really take serious what's being said, 45:59 we're gonna fall short. 46:01 This is a fold, this is a power that's fighting your civil 46:06 and your religious liberty. 46:09 And some will say, well, they've changed 46:11 their position for Protestants. 46:12 Oh, yeah. Did they apologize? 46:14 The Pope has apologized, Google says he has. 46:18 He said for all the errors notice this, 46:20 the Pope asked for forgiveness for errors, 46:22 the church for over the last 2000 years. 46:26 But interesting when he says we've done that, 46:28 then they said what? 46:30 It says the church never changes its position. 46:33 So how does that really work? 46:37 Great Controversy said a long time ago before 46:39 the Pope's made this statement, notice this, 571, 46:42 "The Roman Church now presents a fair front to the world, 46:46 covering with apologies her record 46:48 of horrible conditions, cruelties. 46:51 She has clothed herself in a Christlike garment, 46:54 but she is unchanged. 46:56 She's what? She's unchanged. 47:00 The same. 47:02 See, these are things that are going on that indicate 47:04 the coming of the Lord even about the trade unions. 47:08 In this last year, we're talking about there. 47:11 They reveal a sign of the times. 47:14 How powerful are these unions, powerful enough to shut down 47:18 the country, in many ways we know that. 47:21 To shut down the schools, we know that. 47:24 They're strong enough to bring a time 47:26 of trouble that the world has not ever seen. 47:29 Isn't what Daniel 12 say? 47:30 See, if you're, if we're dealing with the power 47:32 and just talking about the unions, 47:34 but who talks about it from the pulpit, 47:35 who really wants to because people don't 47:37 want to get involved in this because some nasty 47:39 things can happen in the unions. 47:44 But it says right there, the unions will bring about 47:46 a time of trouble this world has never seen. 47:49 Surely God's people want to realize that. 47:55 Are we really ready for this time? 47:59 How strong are these unions really, General Conference 48:02 bulletin in 1903, page 200. 48:04 Notice, trade unions will be one 48:07 of the agencies that will bring about a earth a time 48:09 of trouble as not has been since the world began. 48:14 Does that make sense to us? 48:16 The trade union? Yeah. 48:18 You say why? It's like, well, yeah, that's true. 48:20 But we need to realize it's a sign of the end 48:22 when they become that powerful. 48:24 Have they or have they not kept their children or schools 48:27 closed for the last year, year and a half? 48:29 Have they not? 48:30 They say it's not anything else, 48:32 it's simply the unions that have done this. 48:33 And they can do it any area that they want to do it. 48:37 We're saying what we've not really seen that when time 48:39 has passed, even though unions have been 48:41 around for a long time. 48:43 One of the first ones I think was a trade union 48:45 organized among American workers was in like 1794. 48:50 But it's gotten stronger and more powerful. 48:52 Interesting, I'm gonna, I say this before our time 48:54 runs out here. 48:56 I'm very interested in how the Roman Church 48:58 did ever play a part in unions. 49:01 Interesting, Google brings this out. 49:04 The Catholic Church exercised 49:07 a prominent role in shaping 49:10 America's Labor Movement. 49:13 Somebody is not going to get that today. 49:15 Maybe tomorrow sink in. 49:18 You see, because the enemy will use this thing to shut 49:20 things down. 49:22 Where you can't go to Kroger's, where you can't buy your food. 49:26 Everything will be shattered the union, 49:28 electrical union, whatever the power companies be trumped 49:30 if they decide they want to just shut it down, 49:32 they can shut it down. 49:33 What are you going to do? 49:35 What am I going to do and I guarantee it will happen. 49:37 It will happen somewhere along the road. 49:39 If you are faithful to God, you're going to have to deal 49:42 with these issues and I am too. 49:44 I want to read from Education page 228 says this. 49:48 "At the same time anarchy, lawlessness is seeking to sweep 49:52 across away all law." 49:53 Do you see that now? 49:55 Not on just divine law but of all human law too. 49:59 The centralizing of wealth and power, do we see that? 50:03 Centralizing power, these are signs of the time. 50:05 The vast combination of the enriching of a few, right? 50:09 Just a few be richer, rest you don't have 50:11 anything at the expense of many, 50:13 the combination of the poor classes, notice this, 50:17 and for the defense of their interest. 50:19 In other words, we're going to take care, 50:21 take away from the, the less fortunate, 50:23 those who don't have anything, we're gonna have it all here. 50:26 The spirit of unrest, do we see it? 50:29 That of riot, bloodshed, 50:33 the world dissemination of the same 50:35 teachings that led to the French Revolution, 50:38 all are tending to involve the whole world. 50:42 This identically what's happening? 50:44 We said, again, can't prove it all right now. 50:46 We've done it before in lessons before. 50:49 We're following exactly in the footsteps 50:51 of the French Revolution. 50:53 Just read about that what happened in France, 50:55 and we were following steps one, two, three, 50:57 four just like they did, the outcome will be the same. 51:01 We need to be ready. 51:03 That's a struggle similar. 51:06 Book Education says similar to that which convulsed France. 51:11 That's what the book Education says. 51:14 Most people try to ignore, cover the truth of the unions. 51:19 Well, it's just, you know, 51:20 it's wrong to belong to them to justify, 51:23 you justify it by saying, well, I'll lose my job, 51:25 if I don't join. 51:27 Maybe so. 51:30 Maybe so. 51:31 But God servants do not mix 51:34 the words they do not, you know, 51:37 tone down the words we give as God has given to us. 51:42 We can't pick and choose those things 51:43 that we want to talk about. 51:45 And things that we don't want to talk about 51:47 or truths that we think is important, 51:48 truths we think we better not talk about. 51:50 Seven Testimonies 84 says, 51:52 "The turmoil and confusion that fill these cities, 51:57 and the conditions brought about by labor unions 52:00 and strikes will prove a great hindrance to our work. 52:04 Men are seeking to bring those engaged 52:07 in the different trades under," 52:09 notice this, if you see its future, 52:11 bondage of certain unions. 52:13 This is not God's planning, 52:15 but the planning of a power that we should in no 52:18 wise acknowledge. 52:20 We are not to unite with secret societies or with trade unions. 52:24 We can't get it any clearer than that is because 52:27 of the force that's put behind it. 52:29 Because if they don't like something, they shut it down. 52:32 People have to do without and they use force in which to do. 52:35 Yes, a lot of good has come from those things. 52:38 There were horrible times before. 52:41 But remember, the devil always uses some good 52:43 and mixes it with err and bad things, does he not? 52:45 Always. 52:46 So we say, well, it was good here, you know? 52:52 Every conceivable crime, notice this, 52:54 Evangelism 26 as we wrap it up. 52:57 "The lust of the flesh, the pride of the eyes, display, 53:00 notice it, of selfishness, the misuse of power, cruelty, 53:05 and force used to cause men to unite with confederacies 53:10 and unions, binding ourselves up in bundles for the burning 53:14 of the great fires of the last day, 53:16 all those who are workings 53:19 of Satan's agencies." 53:23 The world's acting today like there is no God. 53:27 We're acting like there is no God. 53:28 We're acting like there is no word that comes to us plain 53:30 and simple. 53:33 Union, Second Selected message says as we close 143, 53:36 they are a sign of the last days. 53:40 It's a clear sign. 53:42 And we're seeing it now 53:44 how powerful they really are when they want to push 53:46 forward, how they can close the country. 53:50 How they can dumb down America, 53:51 how they can keep our children from being educated 53:53 and so on so forth. 53:57 God's people in no wise no case 53:59 should have anything to bind up with these labor 54:01 unions that are formed or shall be formed. 54:04 Letter 201, 1902, you have a decision to make that like 54:07 you have a decision about vaccines 54:09 and everything else that's going on in the world today. 54:11 Are we gonna follow the plan that God has given to us 54:13 as His people? 54:15 Are we gonna follow his plan? 54:16 Are we gonna just follow our own and do what's best? 54:19 I don't have a job. 54:20 Let God supply for you, do what is right. 54:24 God will always take care of His children. 54:26 He will always do, He'll give you something better, 54:28 just have faith enough to stand up and say, 54:30 God has said we will do because He said if we don't, 54:33 we will be like Shiloh and we're gonna be demolished. 54:36 By God's grace make that choice, 54:38 make that decision today I will follow Christ. 54:40 Let's pray, shall we? 54:43 Loving Father in heaven, we thank You for Your Word. 54:45 We thank you maybe distasteful to some but Lord 54:48 is still a truth today. 54:49 It's just simply Signs of the Times. 54:51 I'm not trying to discredit, not trying to tear down, 54:54 not trying to make anyone angry. 54:55 It just simply says that we see the powerful unity 54:59 come together of men under unions. 55:01 We see that they have power, 55:02 and they're going to use that power to force the will. 55:05 And so, Father, we pray in a very special way 55:07 as we see these things be used more and more and more, 55:10 as we near the coming of the Sunday laws 55:12 which are just before us. 55:13 Thank you, Lord, for hearing.
