00:38 Hello and welcome back to Behold the Lamb Presents.
00:41 I'm Chris Shelton, your host. 00:43 I want to thank you for joining us. 00:46 Today we're going to discuss the final shaking. 00:50 This final shaking is in reference 00:52 to God's last church, 00:54 His last day people, who will decide whether or not 00:58 to remain a part of His movement 01:00 or be shaken out of His remnant church 01:02 completely. 01:04 Pastor Kenny Shelton will discuss 01:06 some of the teachings or doctrines 01:08 that bring about this shaking, 01:10 the truth of God's Word 01:12 that people sometimes find difficult to accept 01:16 since the enemy of souls 01:18 has so cleverly blinded their eyes 01:21 to what is truth. 01:23 None of us alive at this time will escape the final shaking. 01:28 Therefore, it behooves us to find out more about it 01:32 and prayerfully consider our findings 01:34 in order to make the right decision. 01:37 It is our prayer that you want to make heaven your final home, 01:41 and that you do not want this final shaking 01:45 to negatively affect your relationship 01:48 with your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 01:51 So we encourage you to stay tuned today 01:55 as Pastor Kenny Shelton presents, 01:58 The Final Shaking. 01:59 But first, let's visit 3ABN 02:01 and listen to Brother Moses Brown 02:04 as he sings I want to be a Christian. 02:31 Lord, I want to be a Christian 02:38 In my heart, in my heart 02:43 Lord, I want to be a Christian 02:49 In my heart 02:54 In my heart, 02:59 In my heart 03:05 Lord, I want to be a Christian 03:12 In my heart 03:16 Lord, I want to walk like my Jesus 03:22 In my heart, in my heart 03:27 Lord, I want to walk like my Jesus 03:33 In my heart 03:38 In my heart, 03:43 In my heart 03:48 Lord, I want to walk like my Jesus 03:54 In my heart 03:59 Lord, I want to live for Jesus 04:06 In my heart, in my heart 04:10 Lord, I want to live for my Jesus 04:17 In my heart 04:21 In my heart, 04:27 In my heart 04:32 Lord, I want to live for my Jesus 04:38 In my heart 04:43 Lord, I want to be with Jesus 04:49 In my heart, in my heart 04:54 Lord, I want to be with Jesus 05:00 In my heart 05:05 In my heart, 05:11 In my heart 05:17 Lord, I want to be with Jesus 05:23 Yes, I want to live for Jesus 05:28 Oh, I want to walk like Jesus 05:34 Oh, yes, I want to be a Christian 05:40 In my heart 05:59 Thanks for joining us once again here 06:01 at Behold the Lamb Ministries. 06:02 Again, we want to say thank you for all that you do, 06:05 support of all the ministries 06:07 around the world that's preaching. 06:08 I want to call it present truth 06:10 if you allow me to say that. 06:11 There's a message that God has for His people. 06:14 We'll read a little bit later on 06:15 maybe a quote I think that makes us stop and think. 06:18 Remember God's messengers have a message. 06:24 I hope we got that. 06:25 There's a lot of messages going out there 06:27 and I don't believe that's what God would be having to do 06:29 but that's my personal opinion. 06:31 We'll get into that a little bit later on. 06:33 Before we begin to study subject 06:36 for today and again, 06:37 we're talking about The Final Shaking. 06:40 We hear a lot about, 06:42 we're living in that hour of the shaking. 06:44 And that which is not fastened down will be what? 06:47 Will be shaken out. 06:49 So let's not get depressed. 06:51 Sometime in the church, we get little depressed. 06:53 Some people come, some people go. 06:55 Remember there's a shaking going on 06:57 and those who are not serious with God 07:00 will be shaken out as the test come. 07:03 And we need to find out 07:04 how we make sure we're not shaken out 07:06 and how we need to remain attached to Jesus Christ, 07:09 The Final Shaking. 07:11 I want to just invite you to pray with us. 07:14 We need the power of the Holy Spirit. 07:16 So I'm going to kneel up here 07:17 and if you will just pray together, 07:19 and shall with the Holy Spirit will take possession 07:20 of each of our hearts and lives. 07:22 Loving Father in heaven, 07:23 we thank You for the privilege of prayer. 07:24 Bless us now we pray with Thy Holy Spirit. 07:27 Oh, Lord, we asked you to anoint, 07:29 cleans us, we plead with your blood. 07:31 We pray that our hands 07:33 and our hearts and our minds will be clear 07:34 and usable material for Your Honor 07:37 and for Your glory today. 07:38 Open our hearts and our minds that we may see 07:40 the message of the hour today points us to Jesus Christ 07:43 that there is hope for Your people in Jesus' name. 07:46 Amen. 07:48 Again, if you have your Bible, turn with me to Zephaniah. 07:50 We're going to read and going to start with Chapter 2. 07:52 Zephaniah Chapter 2, 07:53 we're going to read verses 1 through 3. 07:55 Now remember, we read these things 07:57 don't get caught up in the fact... 08:00 Sometimes people read and say, 08:01 "Yeah, that was back then. 08:03 That pertain to maybe Babylon or that talk to Judah. 08:06 It talked about..." 08:07 Listen, this has an application to the last day people 08:10 and so we need to pay close attention to that. 08:12 If it was things past and had no bearing upon 08:15 what's going on in the world, 08:16 you might want to question it. 08:18 This has a bearing. 08:19 In itself it has a bearing on just before Jesus comes 08:22 and I'm always interested in that. 08:24 Zephaniah 2:1-3, it says, "Gather yourselves together, 08:29 yea gather together O nation not desired" 08:32 interesting words, "before the decree bring forth, 08:35 before the day pass as a chaff, 08:38 before the fierce anger of the Lord come upon you." 08:41 Notice this is, always before the day 08:43 of the Lord's anger come upon. 08:46 Notice this, "You seek either Lord," 08:48 verse three, "all ye meek of the earth, 08:51 which have wrought His judgment." 08:53 Notice the word, "Seek righteousness, 08:56 seek meekness: 08:57 it may be that you shall be hid 09:00 in the day of the Lord's anger." 09:02 You know praying, that's for you and me today, 09:04 we're seeking righteousness right now, 09:06 we want to be like Christ, we want to be ready for heaven. 09:10 Zephaniah 2:1-3, 09:12 just give just a little bit of what was being said there, 09:15 the prophet, notice prophet of God. 09:17 So when the prophet of God speaks, 09:19 we need to what, we need to listen. 09:21 Prophet of God speaks here, 09:23 admonishes the people to do what? 09:25 Assemble together. 09:27 We assemble together as we see the day approaching. 09:30 God's last day people will be coming together. 09:32 They will be studying the Word, they will be praying, 09:35 they will be preparing. 09:37 There'll be others who will be dragging their feet 09:39 and then decide maybe they don't need to be studying 09:43 as much and maybe as they do, 09:44 or maybe they just don't want to study. 09:47 We're going to see there's going to cause... 09:48 that's going to be some divisions that come. 09:50 People are going to be bickering of what is truth. 09:53 If any group of people on the face 09:55 of this planet ought to be together, 09:57 may I be bold and say it's Seventh-day Adventist. 10:00 That makes sense. 10:02 If any group, 10:04 it should be Seventh-day Adventist. 10:06 Now again, it's not just the name. 10:08 We're talking about in agreement with Scripture 10:11 what the Bible teaches. 10:13 Remember, God teaches from His Word 10:15 and the devil tries to counterfeit the Word. 10:18 So if we don't know what, we're going to be fooled 10:21 so that's why we study the Word of God. 10:23 He says, "Let's come together. 10:24 Seek God where you can, seek His mercy 10:27 because the judgments are coming 10:30 and we need His mercy." 10:32 But it's interesting that it talks about here 10:34 about a nation not desired 10:37 is because it was Judah... 10:41 They could care less what they were doing. 10:43 They had fallen away from the Lord. 10:45 They didn't understand sin, they didn't think about sin, 10:47 and all what happen 10:49 as they chose this different pathway. 10:52 They had no proper sense of their guilt 10:56 and that judgment was coming. 10:58 And it's like, "Well, we're not going to worry 11:00 too much about that." 11:01 If we really realize that judgment is coming upon, 11:06 you know, here in this world, 11:08 and we see it happening every day. 11:10 We see it intensifying, do we not? 11:12 And so again, it's just simply warning signs 11:14 that we need to bust loose from the whole home. 11:19 We call ourselves a Christian 11:21 or profess to be 11:22 and really set ourselves on fire, 11:24 where it will get the attention 11:26 as well by the Holy Spirit living inside of us. 11:30 These last day applications... 11:31 If you do, just jot down Zephaniah 1:7, 11:36 because you see the application goes 11:38 from Zephaniah's day here, 11:40 referring to Babylon and the invasion 11:42 and so on and Judah, 11:44 Zephaniah shows the coming prophecies 11:47 and things that will happen just before Jesus come. 11:50 The judgments that fall upon the wicked 11:53 before the coming of Christ. 11:55 And Prophets of Kings 389, 11:56 you read that it will really make a lot of sense. 11:59 God is still speaking to His children. 12:03 I found a couple of lines I thought was interesting 12:05 I like to just share with you. 12:07 Testimonies to Ministers 437 makes this comment. 12:10 Now notice this, just think about it. 12:13 Let it soak in. 12:14 It may not be a shocking thing to you but notice, 12:19 sinners will be condemned in the judgment. 12:23 Sinners will what? 12:25 Be condemned in that judgment, 12:28 notice this, because they rejected light. 12:33 Isn't that interesting? 12:34 We make it little more complicated 12:36 than that many times 12:37 because we didn't do, 12:39 we didn't get, weren't the part of... 12:41 It's because we rejected light 12:44 because sometimes we look at light 12:46 and we don't like what we see because light reveals things 12:50 I don't want to see in my own life. 12:52 But I need that light and I thank God for that. 12:55 This Final Shaking is the subject 12:59 we're talking about, today's subject. 13:01 And we just ask simple questions again, 13:02 what causes the shaking? 13:04 Most Adventists, if we study the Word 13:06 you'll understand what causes the shaking. 13:09 And I put it simple here, put a little star by it. 13:11 It's false theories accepted into the church 13:15 and being taught by church members. 13:19 The shaking is caused by what? 13:21 By false theories coming into the church. 13:24 That's why we as a people have to stand against 13:27 those false theories. 13:28 If we see something coming in that might lead us 13:31 in the wrong path, 13:32 we need to, right, 13:33 sound the alarm and blow the trumpet. 13:35 Yeah, in Zion, show my people know 13:37 what the Bible says here. 13:39 We're talking about God's last day people here. 13:42 Remember Zephaniah was talking about 13:44 the people that the message fell on deaf ears. 13:47 Spirit of Prophecy brings out some time here and said, 13:49 "Well, basically the angels could come 13:52 and give the message. 13:53 But if it falls on deaf ears..." 13:55 She even talks about 13:56 even if angels came and gave it, 13:57 they still wouldn't hear. 13:59 They still wouldn't change 14:00 because they want their own little way. 14:03 They like their own little life. 14:05 And I'm trying to appeal to you today 14:06 to realize your own little life. 14:08 If you really love it 14:09 and you think you're going to last forever here, 14:11 you need to think of the issue again. 14:13 Things are not going to remain the same. 14:15 They don't remain the same. 14:17 There's a better place. 14:19 God has a good promise for us, 14:20 but we need to follow what He has said in His Word 14:23 that so false theories are coming in. 14:26 And you know, they're on top of us. 14:28 They're all around us. 14:30 They're all over the place, 14:31 and most of us have lived long enough 14:32 that we see a lot of these things 14:34 and after a while we just can't... 14:35 We may mention to somebody and they go, "Oh..." 14:37 a little bit indifferent about it. 14:39 Well, but in person we become indifferent. 14:42 Rather than what does God teaching in His Word, 14:45 and then does He expect us 14:47 the follow up by His grace and His strength? 14:50 'Cause remember, when we rise up against truth, 14:52 it causes a shaking in the church 14:55 because God's going to have, 14:57 I believe with my whole heart, 14:58 God's going to have people in His last day movement 15:02 that will understand what truth is 15:03 and they're willing to stand, 15:05 they're willing to die for that truth. 15:07 And that's where we all have to come from. 15:09 We have to be willing to die... 15:10 In other words, well, we're a little bit of ashamed. 15:11 We don't want people to know that 15:13 we keep the Seventh-day Sabbath. 15:14 We don't want people to know that 15:16 we're really Christians. 15:17 Really? Well, maybe you're not. 15:18 Maybe I'm not if I'm ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ 15:21 and then the judgment Christ, 15:22 I'd say this way, He'll be ashamed of us. 15:24 We don't want that. 15:27 When the straight testimony is given, 15:30 and now I talk about just simple. 15:31 When the truth is presented, right, 15:34 straight testimony, to the especially the Laodicea. 15:39 And I'm going to read a few things in a moment 15:40 that we have to realize most of the time 15:42 we don't want to hear that we are kind of in the... 15:45 We know it's a time of the judgment, 15:46 but we also notice the lukewarmness 15:48 of the church. 15:50 I mean, I like to have ground group of people 15:52 that's hot. 15:54 They're on fire for Jesus. 15:56 They're not worried about 15:57 what all is happening here and over there 15:59 and gossip and this and that. 16:00 They're interested in getting the message out 16:03 to a lost and dying world. 16:06 This lukewarm, this message, among God's last day people, 16:11 it causes a shaking. 16:13 Remember, in the shaking means there's going to be division. 16:17 So remember, if false air is in the church, 16:21 and a group stand and say, "You know what? 16:22 We don't go along with that because the Bible says no." 16:26 All of a sudden you get a group that are mad at you. 16:28 And then when they get a little aggravated 16:30 and mad, they want to try to win as many people 16:33 and put them on their side 16:34 and we're going to leave 16:36 or going to take all these with us. 16:39 And I've to be careful here if I'll say 16:41 things that people might misunderstand. 16:44 If you're not willing and I'm not willing 16:47 to accept what God says in His Word as truth, 16:51 then it might be better 16:52 that we go somewhere else. 16:55 Think about it because if you're not, 16:57 you're accepting the Gospel of Jesus Christ 16:59 or the enemy's message. 17:01 And those two don't mix 17:02 and there's always going to be division 17:04 and new members, different people and thinking 17:06 and maybe they're still on the milk, 17:08 they become confused 17:09 and they don't know what to believe. 17:11 We need to be together, division, separation occurs. 17:15 But at the same time, notice during this division, 17:18 during this separation caused by error in the church, 17:23 there's a purification process going on, 17:26 purification process, through all of this right here. 17:29 Eight Testimonies 297 says this, notice, 17:33 "Let none seek to tear away the foundation of our faith." 17:37 See there's people that come in... 17:39 Can I use the word deadly? 17:40 I'm not sure what it means. 17:42 Terry, maybe you can help me. 17:44 Maybe not understanding the message, 17:46 maybe not been there a long time. 17:48 They've not been there and they're looking 17:49 and they try to tear down not meaning to even, 17:52 the foundation of the faith of the Advent movement. 17:57 And the truths that have been established on the Word of God 18:00 and then the lesser light showing us right, 18:02 leading us to the greater light 18:03 that we've established at two different ways. 18:06 That we know that is truth, they may not realize that, 18:09 but they tried to tear it apart. 18:11 They tried to tear away the foundation of that 18:13 which we know 18:14 that was set up from about 50 years 18:16 of teaching that went on 18:18 that we learned these truths. 18:20 And then they come in and try to chisel away, 18:22 maybe not mean to 18:24 but God's people who must stand up 18:25 at that time. 18:27 Rather and say, "Well, we want them here 18:29 or we want this here, 18:30 you know, we want people 18:32 who want to know what truth is, right?" 18:34 That's what you want. 18:35 That's the ones that are going to heaven. 18:37 That's the one that's going to win souls 18:38 that you love the truth. 18:40 There's something about it 18:42 that just draws you closer to Jesus. 18:44 But many people are chiseling away 18:46 at those truths that took 50 years 18:48 of laying the foundation for. 18:51 And then it goes on, the article says right here, 18:54 "We need to hear more about 18:55 the straight testimony born in years past." 19:01 Always we say in Adventists right there, 19:03 "If you want to know what truth is, 19:04 go back to the beginning." 19:07 How many times we all say it, right? 19:08 Health message, no matter what it is. 19:10 Let's go back to the beginning. 19:11 How did God set it up? 19:14 That's the way that... 19:15 That's the right way. 19:17 It will never change. 19:18 When somebody tries to present to me 19:19 something different than the way it was set up, 19:21 all of a sudden, my ears began to tingle a little bit. 19:25 Don't yours when you hear error, 19:26 it makes your ears tingle. 19:29 And sometime it rouse you up... 19:31 Okay. 19:33 My uncle used to say it was righteous indignation 19:38 because God is being hurt, people are being led astray. 19:42 It should have caused a little emotion in us 19:44 to go back to the Word of God, 19:45 examine these things. 19:47 May I just mention a few 19:49 and I'm talking about this is just a few. 19:50 You could just go on and on in depth where we, 19:54 were I as a Christian failing. 19:56 Everybody can look at their own life 19:58 and look in your own mirror 19:59 because we're looking at the straight testimony 20:01 must be revived. 20:03 Yeah. 20:04 Who's the true witness before we read some more? 20:07 The true witness to the Laodicean must be what? 20:09 Must be the Holy Spirit, right, Jesus. 20:11 He's the true witness. 20:12 He gives a message to the Laodicea Church, 20:14 which has application to us, we'll read that in a moment, 20:17 so that we might be changed, so we might be ready. 20:20 That message is given to a backslidden church. 20:23 Oh, we don't want to hear that. 20:25 And people begin to reject it as soon as they hear that tone, 20:30 those words. 20:31 But you know we read them in the Spirit of Prophecy. 20:34 Just a few little things straight testimony or truth 20:37 that causes the shaking, 20:41 the seventh day Sabbath. 20:44 Man, that causes some shaking. 20:47 You know, as one man mentioned here. 20:49 I had a childhood friend. 20:51 We were born and raised in our late 60s now. 20:54 "We never had a word. 20:56 We're always closer. 20:57 He's closer than my own brother," he said, 20:59 "We had such love for one another." 21:02 And when I started going to church 21:04 on the seventh day Sabbath 21:05 and I mentioned to him 21:07 what I had found in God's Word, we had words. 21:11 He had words. 21:12 He said things he had never said 21:14 to me before, 21:16 discussion we had never had before 21:18 but it was because I have chosen to follow Jesus 21:21 on the day that He says to. 21:24 It causes separation and division. 21:26 The man was shocked. He was hurt. 21:28 But you know what? 21:30 I liked what he come back and said. 21:31 He said, "Do you know what? 21:33 That confirmed what I was thinking. 21:35 I'm on the right track. 21:37 I'm on the right track, the division." 21:39 Do you notice that separation? 21:41 Okay, how about the subject of death? 21:44 That can cause separation and division. 21:46 How about hellfire, second coming, 21:49 heavenly sanctuary, the atonement? 21:52 All of these cause issues that are going on here. 21:55 How about our health message? 21:57 How about our diet? 21:59 If you start talking about food and what we take into our body, 22:02 you're going to get somebody mad at you. 22:06 It's true. 22:08 They say, "All I know it's not good for me 22:10 but, boy, do I like it. 22:11 Boy, it tastes good. 22:13 Well, if you think I'm going to give that up, 22:14 you better think again." 22:16 Just go back to God's Word. Just read that. 22:18 That causes a lot of separation and division because what? 22:22 Appetite is still an issue that it was in the garden. 22:25 Isn't that right? It's still an issue. 22:27 It's one of the most difficult things. 22:30 How about if you talk about the Holy Spirit 22:31 in Adventism, especially? 22:33 Oh, you got division and separation. 22:35 People started going on one side of the church 22:36 and then on the other 22:38 and pretty soon one group's out. 22:40 Talk about victory over sin. 22:42 Oh my, some people don't want to hear that. 22:44 "Do the best you can and you're going to make it," 22:46 not true. 22:47 How about the dress issue? 22:50 When you start talking about dress 22:51 and the way we should be proper men and women... 22:56 I always think a woman should look like a woman, 22:57 a man should look like a man. 22:59 If I can't tell the difference between the two, 23:01 somebody is wrong. 23:04 Okay, nobody got that. 23:06 I shouldn't have to look two or three times 23:08 and try to figure it out. 23:09 I know that's going to upset somebody 23:11 and stand so be it. 23:15 So be it because we need to think about 23:17 because God made a difference in His Word, 23:19 not just my personal opinion about it. 23:21 He said, "I made them this way." 23:26 It should not be confusing at all, 23:28 but man has made it confusing. 23:31 How about when we talk about in the church, jewelry? 23:35 Oh, we don't want to touch that 23:37 because people in high places are wearing it. 23:39 So what? 23:41 God said, "No gold and no silver." 23:43 It's exactly what He meant. 23:44 Just to put it real simple and plain and out there. 23:46 That's what God says. 23:48 Now who... 23:49 I almost said, "Who in the world." 23:51 Can I say that? 23:52 Who in the world 23:54 when we just if we really read scripture, 23:56 when He says, "No gold, no silver," 23:59 and then we say, "Yeah, but He didn't mean this." 24:03 There's no adding, there's no subtracting to it. 24:05 I mean really, if you think about 24:06 that takes audacity. 24:09 It means that we've taken Him off of the throne 24:11 and we put ourselves on there 24:12 and we made an exception for it. 24:14 No means no. 24:16 I hear that in society a lot, and it does. 24:21 How about we talk about the gift of prophecy? 24:23 I don't want to take too much time on this 24:24 but I want you to think about gift of prophecy, 24:26 Spirit of Prophecy in the church. 24:28 Oh, it causes division. 24:29 "Well, we like what you teach here, 24:31 but we don't like the Spirit of Prophecy." 24:32 Why don't you? 24:34 Most generally is because you haven't read it, 24:36 that's why you say that. 24:39 I've been reading it for umpteen years 24:41 and haven't found anything 24:42 that disagrees with the Word of God. 24:45 Is it okay to say that? 24:46 I haven't found anything that disagrees 24:48 because it would cause me problems if I did. 24:51 I'd have to go back and say, "Wait a minute here. 24:54 God has a prophet there always tell the truth." 24:57 If the prophet is led by the Holy Spirit, 24:59 the Holy Spirit always tells the truth. 25:01 The Holy Spirit always tells the truth in the Word of God 25:03 so they must be gelling together. 25:06 How about when we even confession, 25:08 even repentance? 25:09 There's division that comes. 25:11 Things that need to be taken care of, 25:12 people say, "Oh, don't worry about all that." 25:14 If you talk about the mark of the beast, 25:16 third angel's message, man, we need to know that 25:18 there's disagreement in the church. 25:20 "Keep quiet on it. Don't bring it up. 25:22 You're going to make people mad at you." 25:24 Listen, if you think 25:25 you're going to get out of this world 25:26 without people being mad at you 25:28 and upsetting or maybe hating you, 25:29 you need to think again. 25:31 Jesus said, "They did all that to Me. 25:32 They did to Me first 25:34 and then they're going to do it to you." 25:35 The test is going to come 25:37 if you want to repopulate heaven. 25:38 Lord, how am I going to handle that? 25:40 How am I going to handle tithe? 25:42 Man, when you read the statistics 25:43 on tithing, right... 25:45 In an Adventist Church, there's only about 50% 25:48 that pay faithful true tithe. 25:50 The other 50% are thieves and robbers 25:56 and you'll be outside the walls. 25:57 Isn't that what the Bible said? 25:58 That's what it says. 26:00 But why is it statistics come in to say, 26:02 "We know better?" 26:04 Somebody else may not. 26:05 I'm not trying to harp, I'm just trying to say 26:07 these things cause division and separation. 26:09 And sometimes if nothing is ever said on the issue, 26:12 people go keep doing the same thing like, 26:14 "It's going to be all right. 26:15 I'm going to make it to heaven." 26:17 And come into judgment, they're going to say, 26:18 "You guys never talked about that, no." 26:23 Nature of Christ, Law of God, 26:24 the Millennium, the list could go on and on. 26:26 Again, we talked about things that really get it, 26:28 you know, the dress and again jewelry, 26:31 and health message and what we take into our body. 26:34 This is just... 26:35 There's constant things there if we're not careful, 26:37 and we don't love Jesus. 26:38 What I want to do is I want to know 26:40 what He teaches about dress. 26:41 I want to know what He teaches about health, 26:43 then I can make by the grace of God 26:45 the right choice and the right decision, 26:47 and you can too. 26:49 But a lot of times, 26:50 pastors will not bring up certain things 26:52 that will cause division in the church. 26:54 I'm looking at not division, 26:56 I'm looking at what is truth on this. 26:58 And how is it that we can dismiss 27:00 some of this other stuff and say, 27:01 "It's not really important, 27:02 but this is important?" 27:04 Are we going to pick and choose? 27:05 No, we can't do that but people do it 27:08 because of their lifestyle. 27:10 Man, we can't do that by the grace of God. 27:13 There's final shaking of God's Church. 27:16 We're going to find out 27:18 who we really are 27:20 as the shaking commences. 27:22 I'm finding out myself more and more every day. 27:24 I don't know about you. 27:26 The things that are happening, 27:28 the things that are taking place 27:29 in this world is like 27:31 it can't possibly be. 27:33 People can't be that, anyway, out of their mind. 27:37 They just can't be not think that way at all. 27:42 Regardless of how many bad choices 27:44 that maybe we have made in our life. 27:47 We can't face all of the things that going on in the world, 27:50 on our feelings and our emotions. 27:52 We need to put those aside, go to the Word of God, 27:54 begin to build, stay connected. 27:57 And if we're staying connected to Him 27:58 again, regardless of our past life. 28:01 If we stay, get connected to Him, 28:02 stay connected to Him, 28:05 you know, then we realize 28:08 that heaven can be our home. 28:11 That we're never too broken to be healed. 28:15 No one is too broken 28:17 that God can't put you back together again. 28:19 I love that. 28:22 And when I mentioned there's no sin 28:23 that God cannot forgive, 28:25 but sometime as deacons 28:26 and elders and pastors of the church, 28:27 we have deciphered that there are certain sins 28:30 that can't be forgiven. 28:33 We serve that kind of God like, "Well, this is just too big. 28:35 I can't handle that. 28:37 I don't have enough grace to cover all of that." 28:39 No, He reached the heart. 28:41 He's shown us in His Word about liars, 28:44 you know, the leaders of... 28:46 things that they did. 28:48 They murdered and kill people but they confessed 28:49 and they came back to Him. 28:51 And God is gracious 28:52 and kind to bring us back into the fold. 28:54 I encourage you not to give up today. 28:56 Hold on to Christ. 28:58 Bible said, "Cast your care on Him," why? 29:03 "For He cares for you." 29:06 1 Peter 5:7, "Cast your cares on Him." 29:10 If anyone has any care today, I encourage you 29:12 don't be casting on everybody else. 29:15 It's okay to ask for prayer and so on, 29:17 but I'm talking about go to your Creator. 29:19 Go to your Maker. 29:20 Get on your knees and you talk to Him. 29:22 Let Him do the work. 29:24 Let Him fight your battle for you. 29:26 It's too big for you. 29:27 You can't fight all these things. 29:29 I can't fight them. 29:30 And when I get relief is when I release them 29:33 and give them to Jesus because He says, 29:35 "I draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to" what? 29:39 "Draw nigh to Him and He will draw nigh to you." 29:42 I need that in James 4:8. 29:46 See, instead of getting away from Him and making excuses, 29:50 we need to draw nigh to Him. 29:53 When things are going haywire in our life, 29:55 I'm still looking up and I say, 29:56 "I know He knows what's best." 29:58 I even say some times, "Lord, you know this is not my plan." 30:02 He'd say, "Yeah, Kenny, 30:04 but you don't know plans I've got for you." 30:06 You don't know the plans He's got for you. 30:08 Sometime it's over here 30:09 and then it comes back to this direction in here. 30:11 God has a plan for you. 30:13 You need to draw nigh to Him. 30:17 This time of the, 30:19 we're talking about the shaking. 30:21 The evil angels are released in a way 30:24 I think that we've never seen before. 30:27 They're surrounding the people of God 30:30 and trying to shut Jesus out from them. 30:32 Why? 30:34 Through circumstances, situations, 30:35 it could be in the home, it could be at work. 30:38 It can be here, it can be there. 30:40 But he doesn't want you to see Jesus. 30:42 He doesn't want you to see where your victory is at. 30:45 Shut Jesus out from them, 30:47 if they can't see Jesus, they'll quit. 30:49 They'll give up. 30:51 Oh, there's mighty shaking. 30:55 We're told that God's people, you'll see them, 30:57 they're weeping and they're praying. 31:00 Think how long has it been since you, 31:02 when you've been praying, it's you've really... 31:03 your heart just been broken? 31:05 You know, not just about yourself. 31:08 People can pray about themselves in their condition 31:11 and you can weep over that. 31:12 But when you're praying for someone else 31:15 and their need, 31:16 or they turned away from Christ, 31:18 they're walking somewhere else now 31:19 and you began to pray for them, 31:21 and you began to weep in their behalf and say, 31:22 "Oh, God..." 31:24 God's last day people 31:27 will be weeping between the porch 31:29 and the altar, remember? 31:30 Now notice, for all the abominations 31:33 that are going on in the church, 31:35 and in the world, 31:37 are you still there with me in the world, 31:40 and they're praying for victory 31:42 over self and over sin. 31:45 Now, think about it. 31:46 When's the last time you spent some time 31:48 praying about, 31:49 "Lord give me victory in my life?" 31:51 I know there are things that I need overcome. 31:52 I know that my mind needs to be better. 31:54 I know my mind needs to be stayed on you. 31:59 I know that there's abominations 32:01 that are going on in the church. 32:03 Why is it that people, just so many times, 32:05 closed their minds and their eyes and their hearts 32:08 to abominations that are going on 32:09 right in front of them? 32:12 They don't want to... 32:13 They just say, "Well, we can't talk that way." 32:15 What do you mean, you can't talk that way? 32:17 Many people will not make it to the Kingdom 32:19 because the preacher didn't have the backbone enough 32:20 to come up and say, 32:22 "This is not right according to Scripture." 32:25 See, there's nothing ugly about that. 32:26 That shows me that somebody cares. 32:29 At least present it. 32:31 At least look at it closely and say, "Oh, you know what? 32:34 I never thought of it, maybe, that way." 32:37 We need to be as, 32:39 I think Ezekiel 9 talks about it, 32:40 weeping between the porch and the altar. 32:43 That means you're serious about something. 32:45 Some people think 32:46 they just come and sit in the pew 32:48 and they are going to make it to heaven. 32:49 Don't, please don't. 32:51 I will always bring that up. 32:52 That's not those who are going to make it to heaven. 32:54 You've got to have a heart for servers for God. 32:57 You have to have a heart for other people. 33:00 You have to have a heart 33:01 to get this gospel out the world. 33:07 What do you think happens to those as this shaking time 33:10 that's not pleading with God, 33:13 that's not crying, as it were? 33:16 Because they want victory in their life, 33:18 they're wanting salvation. 33:20 Let me read this. 33:22 I found this in One Testimony 182. 33:24 Notice what happened, the shaking is going on. 33:28 People are being shaken up. 33:29 This happens. 33:30 As soon as that can is lifted up, 33:32 something else hits them. 33:33 As soon as that's lifted up, something else hits them. 33:35 It's like you can't take a breath of air 33:37 and refresh 33:38 that there's not something hitting you 33:40 and that's bruising and it's hurting. 33:44 You say, "Oh, man, what's going to happen?" 33:48 Notice this, the members of this company 33:51 had lessened. 33:53 God's last day people right, they're being tested and tried. 33:58 And while they're being tested and tried, the professed ones, 34:01 all of a sudden 34:02 there's people going out the door. 34:04 Oh, they're leaving. Why they're lessened? 34:06 Notice, some had been shaken out 34:10 and left by the way. 34:12 Test and trials and things that are happening 34:14 or this is what they teach from the Word of God right here 34:19 and I just don't believe it. 34:21 No, you don't want to believe it 34:23 because you don't want so order your life. 34:26 If it's truth, we should say, "Oh, praise God. 34:28 Man, that's going to be dilly, 34:29 I can't do it on my own but by the help of God, 34:32 the power of the Holy Spirit 34:33 will give me strength in which to gain victory." 34:35 That's the only way it happens anyway, 34:36 you know that. 34:38 Notice the number of the company... 34:41 And we need to think of ourselves 34:42 as this little company right here, 34:44 being tested and tried. 34:45 There are some who are going to go out of the door 34:47 and they're not going to come back. 34:49 And we can spend our time 34:50 as it were and try to reach them. 34:51 Yes, be praying for them, 34:53 call and let them know you're interested. 34:55 But there's people who are out there 34:57 in the highways and byways that want to come in 34:59 and somebody needs to invite them. 35:02 Somebody needs to be laboring for those 35:04 who have not had the opportunity to sit 35:06 where truth is being presented. 35:09 We need to make sure we spend... 35:10 We only have so much time. 35:12 Everybody's important, I know. 35:15 Some were left by the way, that doesn't sound good. 35:18 Notice the ones that were left by the wayside. 35:22 Now listen, I'm saying this for a point here... 35:23 How much time we'll have with it. 35:25 I'm saying to a point because if you are shaken out, 35:28 if I am shaken out, 35:30 somebody is going to take my place. 35:32 I want to know who it is. 35:35 Somebody is going to take... 35:37 If you're shaken away from the message, 35:39 what you understand is truth, 35:41 you're shaken out, 35:42 somebody is going to take your place. 35:44 It's something to think about. 35:47 Who is it? 35:49 Is it somebody we know whose going to? 35:50 The ones that are shaken out are these. 35:52 Now, maybe you're not and maybe this will help you, 35:55 the careless and the indifferent. 35:59 Are you careless with these beautiful truths 36:01 that God has given us? 36:03 Are we careless with the message 36:05 that God has given us to warn the world with? 36:07 Have we become indifferent? 36:09 Let me tell you, when you're hit 36:11 and banged and knocked and gossiping, 36:13 sometime you almost become indifferent. 36:15 Can I say that? 36:18 Because you're adult. 36:21 Can I use the word goofy? 36:22 You're not, kind of, goofy a little bit. 36:24 One thing after the other, it is hard to get your balance. 36:26 And finally you say, 36:27 "I just need to withdraw a little bit 36:29 and let this go for a while." 36:31 It's all right to come apart and rest for a while. 36:33 It's all right. 36:34 Regroup, come back stronger 36:36 than ever for the cause of Christ. 36:40 Careless and the indifferent. 36:44 The ones who would not plead 36:46 or perseveringly stay in the battle. 36:51 They didn't agonize for victory, 36:53 and therefore they did not receive it. 36:57 If you want heaven to be your home, it can be. 37:01 It's pretty simple because Jesus has already what? 37:03 He's prepared... 37:05 Has He not prepared the way? 37:06 Has He not paid the price? 37:08 Has He not left you a will call, 37:09 right ticket at the will call window? 37:11 He says, "All you got to do is come and pick it up." 37:14 See I like that, just come and pick it up. 37:17 It's paid for. 37:19 But some of us are too lazy to pick it up. 37:22 We're afraid of what might happen. 37:24 If you ask somebody, 37:25 "Do you want to serve Jesus Christ?" 37:26 "Oh, I don't know if I do or not now. 37:28 Hey, wait." 37:29 You can't go wrong? 37:31 We need Christ. 37:33 We need Him on our side. 37:36 This last day church, 37:38 Revelation 3:15-17, is the lukewarm. 37:41 I wish we had time we'd read all of that. 37:43 Revelation 3:15, 16 and 17 talks about 37:47 description here of a lukewarm 37:52 that feel good about themselves, 37:55 the need of nothing. 37:57 See, I just look and say, "Surely that doesn't mean us." 38:02 Surely that doesn't mean you. 38:04 Surely that doesn't mean me 38:05 but somehow it's pointing fingers, 38:08 and I need to look at it closely. 38:10 I feel good. 38:13 Is there any direct applications 38:16 to this group that we need to look at? 38:18 And again, it's only to, what, 38:19 so that we might change our way. 38:21 Is there any hope for this group? 38:24 I hope somebody says yes, there is. 38:28 But there has to be some changes 38:29 that are made. 38:31 Now remember, let's make it plain. 38:33 That we'll simply what? 38:34 We're not going to try to cover up anything. 38:36 We're not going to try to say, "Things have changed now. 38:39 We live in a different time period. 38:41 God's not the same as He was before." 38:43 Well, that's not true. He is. 38:45 God wants us to face the facts. 38:49 He wants us to come clean. 38:51 What? Out of our condition. 38:55 When you go to the doctor, you know somebody comes back. 38:57 The first thing I'll say, "What's your condition?" 39:01 How they're like, your condition. 39:06 You want to know what it is about them, 39:08 their condition. 39:09 Are they well? 39:10 Is it something that maybe won't heal? 39:12 What is their condition? 39:14 God wants us to look at our condition 39:19 and so our condition need to be changed. 39:21 Let me read some quick articles to you right quick 39:23 to let you understand for sure... 39:25 Because there's a group of people 39:27 over the years, 39:28 they thought with maybe you and me 39:30 over the years and they say, 39:31 "Well, we can't use this Laodicea Church 39:34 or the lukewarm church 39:35 and say it has direct application to us. 39:37 We can't really do that." 39:39 Review and Herald 12-15-1904, this was written. 39:42 Notice what it said, 39:43 "The message to the Laodicea Church 39:45 reveals our condition as a people." 39:48 Pretty plain, what does it do? 39:51 It reveals our condition as a people. 39:54 That pretty well hits it right at target, 39:57 Manuscript 26, 1905. 40:00 Now notice this, if you are an idler today, 40:04 it's time to stop it. 40:07 "To the idlers in the Lord's vineyard, 40:10 the Laodicean message is sent." 40:14 If we're idlers, that means do nothings. 40:18 That means talkers. 40:20 That means blowing a lot of hot air. 40:22 Is somebody still with me? 40:23 I need to put some more stuff out here. 40:25 The idlers, one who just takes up a seat, 40:29 the chair 40:31 and when anything is to be done, 40:33 you can't be found. 40:35 Well, idlers in the Lord's vineyard. 40:39 Why? 40:40 Because He's given us a job and work to do. 40:42 Review and Herald 3-11-1902. 40:45 Notice how it tightens in here now. 40:47 Notice, "The message to the Laodicean Church 40:50 is applicable to all who have had great light 40:54 and many opportunities 40:55 and yet have not appreciated them." 40:57 Can we say, as a people, we have great light? 41:02 And I'm going to just say 41:04 more than any in the whole world. 41:08 See it's time we set that. 41:09 It's time to challenge some of these thinkers 41:11 that are out there to say, "Well we all have this." 41:13 God has shined light upon us. 41:15 Did he not with Israel of old? 41:18 His people, He gave them special light. 41:19 How about the Jews, special light for their time? 41:22 Adventists who's taken the place, 41:24 right, Israel, Jews Adventist, 41:26 because there were advocating 41:27 this seventh day Sabbath number one. 41:32 The message then applies to those 41:34 who have had great light, so look out. 41:37 You're going to have to deny it, 41:38 we haven't had great light 41:40 or you going to say we have and so it applies to us. 41:42 But we haven't appreciated it. 41:44 We haven't used it. 41:47 We haven't had holy boldness the way that we need to. 41:49 Review and Herald 7-23-1889 says this, 41:53 notice, "The message of the Laodicean Church 41:55 is applicable to our condition." 41:59 Now remember, if applicable back then, 42:02 how much more so now? 42:06 My opinion, we haven't gotten better. 42:09 We're losing it. 42:11 We're going farther and farther away 42:13 in order to get numbers 42:15 rather than the truly converted. 42:16 Is it okay to say that? 42:19 Yeah, no, all we say is small group is dedicated 42:23 to the cause of God and watch Him work. 42:25 He started with 12, isn't that right? 42:30 It was never a large group 42:32 compared with the world and what's going on. 42:34 And the devil makes it turn around and say, 42:37 "Yeah, but you guys can't be the right church here 42:39 because there's such a little amount..." 42:43 We turn around and say there's a remnant, 42:46 a remnant within the remnant that's going to be saved. 42:50 Not everyone says, "Lord, 42:52 Lord" is going to enter into the Kingdom. 42:54 Not everyone who go to church on Saturday, right? 42:56 We go to church on Saturday, so we're now... 42:57 There's so much more to it than that. 43:01 That's exactly. 43:03 Manuscript 33, 1894 says this apply to us, 43:06 "It has been placed before us for a long time..." 43:10 they'll listen, "But has not been heeded 43:14 as it should have been." 43:16 That means we've fallen short. 43:18 Does that make sense? 43:19 This message has been put to us for a long time, 43:22 but we haven't heeded it. 43:24 Then we have to decide, 43:25 you know, where maybe we haven't heeded it. 43:28 There's good news, remember, for the lukewarm. 43:30 There's good news for the Laodiceans. 43:33 There's good news for the people of God. 43:36 Review and Herald 8-28-1894, I put a star by this. 43:40 Notice what it said, 43:42 "Laodicean message is full of encouragement." 43:48 It depends on who reads it. 43:49 Some people say, "Oh, 43:51 we're going to start on that again. 43:52 Man, we're in a lot of mess, we can't go through there." 43:54 Why not face it and look at it? 43:57 If it be true, then God help us. 44:00 We don't want to be that group that He vomits out and He will. 44:04 He will do exactly what He says 44:05 He's going to do regardless of your profession. 44:08 Your words have to speak loudly. 44:12 The profession means nothing. 44:14 "I belong to the Seven-day Adventist Church." 44:16 So what? 44:19 I'm not trying to downplay that. 44:20 I'm not trying to make it ugly. 44:23 It's much more than that. 44:25 You know it, and I know it. 44:26 It's much more. 44:29 Notice this, Laodicean message is full of encouragement." 44:32 Listen, "For the backslidden church 44:39 may yet by the goal of faith and love, 44:43 and may yet have the white robe 44:46 of righteousness of Christ." 44:49 That's pretty plain, isn't it? 44:51 So what the writing of this right here 44:53 is talking about is there's good news, 44:55 there still hope, right, blood's still flowing, 44:59 there can be forgiveness of Laodiceans. 45:01 A message comes that drive us 45:03 to our knees to beg and plead to God, 45:05 take our sins from us. 45:07 Let us start over, let's start fresh 45:09 because we've backslidden. 45:11 We've slowly been retreating back to Egypt, 45:13 and He's calling us back, 45:15 "For the backslidden church may yet..." 45:19 No, I didn't make that up. 45:21 You have a fight, 45:22 you need to go to Spirit of Prophecy 45:23 and look that backslidden church. 45:26 I don't like that. 45:28 Remember that's total as a whole 45:31 but how about you? 45:32 How about me? 45:34 Have we backslidden away from God? 45:37 Manuscript 139, 1903. 45:39 Notice this, "There is hope for our churches 45:45 if they will heed the message given to the Laodiceans." 45:49 Wow! 45:51 See, if there's a knocking at your heart's door right now, 45:55 whether it's individually, collectively as a group, 45:57 whatever it might be. 45:58 Every knock, that's not answered, 46:00 pretty soon it becomes what? 46:02 You can't quite hear well as you did while ago. 46:04 Oh, you can't hide it. 46:05 And then when we don't hear it, all of a sudden, 46:07 we begin to stack a bunch of junk against the door. 46:10 And before we can open that door as it were right, 46:13 we've got to remove some junk. 46:15 And we look at it and say, 46:17 "There's just too much junk here to remove." 46:18 He wants to come in 46:20 but now this person is saying this, 46:22 this person is saying that. 46:25 The mind becomes so confused. 46:28 There's all kinds of voices 46:29 that are heard in the world today. 46:33 And more voices that we listened 46:34 to that's not from the Holy Spirit 46:36 of the living God, what happens? 46:37 Oh my, convictions begins to die away. 46:40 We no longer know what truth is. 46:42 Get rid of that junk by the grace of God. 46:45 If you'd like a picture, 46:47 at least in your mind right now, 46:48 of the people of God 46:50 during this great or this final shaking. 46:52 Here it goes. 46:55 What takes place? 46:57 Remember it's for our own good. 47:02 Listen, remember this last final shaking 47:05 takes place just prior 47:10 to the outpouring of the latter rain. 47:13 Lord have mercy. 47:16 We have to be ready 47:17 so the latter rain can fall upon us 47:19 and that means sins got to go. 47:20 Does that make sense? 47:22 The message, the Laodicean Church say, 47:24 "Come on, right? 47:25 Let the Holy Spirit 47:27 of the living God work in the church. 47:28 Let the people be converted. 47:31 Let them weep between the porch and the altar, 47:34 beg and plead for God's mercy. 47:38 This is an intense time for God's people." 47:43 One Testimony 179 and 80 talks about this. 47:46 Notice, here we go, "I was shown the people of God, 47:49 you can either believe that or reject it." 47:51 See, a lot people turn their back... 47:54 Somebody needs to pay attention to that, 47:55 "I was shown the people of God and I saw the mighty shaken. 48:01 Some, with strong faith 48:03 and agonizing cries were pleading with God. 48:07 Their countenance was pale and marked with deep anxiety." 48:12 You know we see people 48:13 with deep anxiety today we mark. 48:15 We come into the church, sometime we're laughing 48:17 and we're talking and we're doing... 48:18 We don't have time to come in here and pray 48:20 and get our hearts right and mind ready 48:21 to meet with God. 48:22 We got too much of the world in here and we're praying. 48:24 Leave it outside. 48:26 You see, it's what we should do. 48:27 Prepare before we come through those doors. 48:31 Anxiety, why? 48:32 Because we're coming to meet our Maker. 48:36 We're meeting the one who will stand in our defense 48:38 or won't be able to stand in our defense. 48:42 "With firmness and great earnestness 48:45 were expressed in their countenance, 48:47 while large drops of perspiration fell 48:49 from their foreheads." 48:52 You talk about agonizing before God. 48:56 How long has it been since we agonize before God? 49:00 It's a great drop of sweat. 49:03 Remember what causes the shaking? 49:05 Our time is running low but notice what it says. 49:07 You know this well, One Testimonies 181 says, 49:10 "Remember I asked the meaning of the shaking," what was it? 49:13 "I had seen and was shown that 49:14 it will be caused by the," what? 49:16 "Straight testimony called forth 49:18 by the council of the True Witness." 49:20 Who is that? 49:21 Jesus Christ, isn't that right? 49:23 The power of the Holy Spirit. 49:24 It said, "God's people need to have straight truth 49:26 right now." 49:28 And it goes to the Laodicea to wake it up. 49:31 "This will have an effect upon the heart of the receiver, 49:35 and will lead him to exalt the standard 49:37 or the law of God. 49:39 It will cause him to what? 49:41 Exalt the law of God 49:42 and pour forth the straight truth." 49:44 Notice this, "Some will not bear 49:48 the straight testimony." 49:49 Why? 49:51 Because you got the liberals in the church. 49:52 You got the conservatives in the church. 49:54 Two words that should never be used 49:56 in the church. 49:57 Is that okay? 49:59 Since when does the Word of God say right now, 50:01 "This is the liberals over here. 50:03 This is a conservative over here?" 50:05 Conservative means you're holding back from truth, 50:07 isn't that right? 50:08 Liberals means you just messed all over. 50:11 You go anywhere you want to with it. 50:13 That's not it at all but yet we'll use it like 50:15 it's some, kind of, a political game. 50:17 It's not, going to the straight truth. 50:20 Some will not bear the testimony, 50:22 they will rise up against it. 50:23 This will cause the shaking among God's people. 50:26 God have mercy. 50:28 Thank You, God, for those who are studying 50:29 to show themselves approved unto God. 50:31 Thank You, God, for those who have the knowledge 50:33 of truth in their heart, in their mind, 50:35 and they will not tolerate 50:37 untruths to be spoken and lived out in the church. 50:41 If we get that kind of individual 50:43 and those kind of things are happening, 50:44 we need to show them the door. 50:47 I know that's not popular. 50:48 I know people don't want to hear that. 50:51 Remember, if that's the thinking, 50:53 the enemy has control of the mind. 50:55 We don't need to fight that. 50:57 We want to come into the presence 50:58 of the Holy Spirit on God's Sabbath day 51:00 and we want to hear from heaven. 51:01 Not a conflict, 51:03 not somebody is going to be hurt 51:04 every time we look around. 51:08 God sends His people 51:09 another warning to wake them up. 51:10 You know why? 51:12 One Testimony 181, notice this, 51:14 the solemn testimony, we're talking about, 51:16 it's so important right now to Gods last day people 51:19 as individually and as a body." 51:21 Notice this, "The solemn testimony 51:23 upon which the destiny of the church hangs 51:28 has been lightly esteemed, 51:31 if not entirely disregarded." 51:33 God give us the testimonies. 51:35 All these books that had been given 51:36 through the Spirit of Prophecy, and it's been... 51:38 We just lightly regard them... Well, we don't know... 51:42 If not entirely disregard it 51:44 because we come up with what we think. 51:46 "I'll be able to do and get by within this world 51:48 and still make it to heaven." 51:50 God's telling you He's given you a map, 51:53 lightly esteemed. 51:56 Testimony of the true witness must work 51:59 some deep repentance in all of our heart, 52:01 all of our lives. 52:02 And then what? 52:04 Then we need to obey and by obeying, 52:06 be purified by this message. 52:09 Every person should be interested 52:11 in finding out what truth is. 52:13 Let me just say this quickly here. 52:14 Oh my, we're not even going to get half done. 52:19 Can I say I'm tired of people talking about 52:21 don't talk about doctrine in the church? 52:23 I'm going to say it. 52:25 I'm tired. 52:27 Not necessarily group 52:28 but every time you meet somebody, 52:29 you'll talk about a truth and God's will, 52:31 "Well, we don't teach doctrine at our church. 52:34 We're non-denominational." 52:35 I'm talking about it. 52:38 Listen, what do you mean you don't teach doctrine? 52:42 You don't teach doctrine, you don't want doctrine? 52:45 A word some think is a curse word almost. 52:48 Why? 52:50 You'll find it in the Old Testament, 52:52 five, six places and 50 times in the New Testament. 52:56 Doctrine simply means instructions. 52:58 How simple that is? 52:59 Teachings, it's a learning. 53:02 It's a topic. It's a subject. 53:04 In Adventism, we take a subject, 53:06 and we delve into the Word of God 53:08 to find out what that subject is talking about, 53:10 and what truth is and establish it. 53:12 We need to... 53:14 Jesus taught doctrine. 53:16 People don't come to me and say, 53:18 "We don't teach doctrine", 53:19 then you're not teaching anything 53:21 that Jesus taught. 53:22 You're not following Jesus at all. 53:24 See, it's time we just fessed them up with it. 53:27 Matthew 7:28-29. You think it's difficult? 53:30 You say, "Oh, mine." 53:31 It said, talking about Jesus, 53:33 "The people were astonished at His doctrines." 53:37 Verse 29, "For He taught them as one having great authority." 53:41 Jesus had doctrine. 53:43 Notice the reason for doctrine. 53:44 John 7:17, our time's going down. 53:46 "If any man will do His Will, 53:48 he shall know of the doctrines whether they be of God 53:51 or whether I speak of myself." 53:52 Isn't that beautiful? 53:54 Jesus taught doctrines. 53:55 John 7:16, "Jesus answered them and said, 53:59 My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent me." 54:04 Oh, that means... 54:05 I got to say this nicely. 54:07 God has doctrines. 54:09 He has teachings, right? 54:11 He does. 54:13 Jesus said, "They're not mine. 54:15 They're my father's." 54:17 1 Timothy 6:1, "The name of God 54:20 and His doctrine be not blasphemed." 54:23 This settles it, 1 Timothy 6:3-4, 54:25 "If any man teach otherwise, 54:27 and consent not to wholesome words, 54:29 even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, 54:31 and to the doctrine 54:32 which is according to godliness. 54:35 He is proud." 54:36 That means he's a fool. 54:38 "Knowing nothing, he's doting about questions..." 54:42 You ever talk to people like that? 54:44 All they want to do is ask questions 54:45 that's not really maybe in the Word of God. 54:47 They want to try to throw you off track. 54:49 They want to try to put something out there, 54:50 you know, that causes nothing 54:52 but strife and division and separation. 54:55 Skip there in verse 5 quickly. 54:56 It says, you know why they do that? 54:58 "Because they're destitute of truth." 55:00 Our time is gone. 55:02 Oh my, time's passed by, 55:03 when you're having fun for sure. 55:05 Isn't that right? 55:06 These are awesome times that we are living in. 55:11 The shaking is going on. 55:13 And remember, I wish we had more time 55:14 we'll prove that as the shaking commences 55:16 and continues on, 55:18 we're going to find more and more people 55:19 that are not showing up. 55:21 And more and more people 55:22 is not going to ever show up again 55:23 but there's going to be other people 55:25 that's going to come in and be honest in heart 55:26 and take the place. 55:27 I don't want anybody taking my place. 55:29 You don't want anybody taking your place. 55:30 They will do it right now because you know truth, 55:33 light has been shining on you and shining on me. 55:35 And by God's grace, we need to obey it 55:37 and be purified by it 55:39 because the shaking will become more violent. 55:42 It's going to be rougher as we go 55:43 and sometimes we say, "You know what? 55:45 It's better just to step out of this thing, 55:46 God, I can't get beat up anymore." 55:48 God's going to make sure you're not beat up anymore. 55:51 God's going to be your protector. 55:52 He's going to be your shield. 55:54 He's going to take care of you. 55:55 He's going to take care of me, but we have to endure. 55:58 The Bible said, "He that endureth unto the end, 56:00 the same shall be saved." 56:02 Let's not be shaken out. 56:03 Let's be steadfast and sure that on that solid rock, 56:07 which is Jesus Christ, 56:09 and I shall not be, I shall not be moved. 56:12 Just like a tree that's planted by the water, 56:14 Lord, I shall not be moved. 56:15 Let's pray, shall we? 56:18 Merciful Father in Heaven, 56:19 thank You for Your precious Word today. 56:21 We thank You that You are that solid rock. 56:23 Thank You that You promised 56:25 that if we stand and we call on Your name, 56:27 You said You would answer, 56:28 You would fight our battles for us. 56:30 You would give us everything necessary 56:31 that we may gain the victory over the enemy, 56:33 and at last heaven can be our home. 56:35 Oh, Lord, how we long for that day 56:38 when all of our labors and trials 56:40 are over and we are safe on that beautiful shore. 56:43 Lord, we want to be near you in heaven, 56:45 but we need to be near You right here on earth. 56:48 Every test will come every day of our life, 56:51 every decision, every influence, 56:53 we pray will be for Your honor and for Your glory. 56:56 May other see that Jesus lives in our hearts, 56:59 no longer I but Christ. 57:01 Bless us, we pray to this and save us Lord, 57:03 when You come. 57:04 But help us remember right now, Hang on to Jesus right now. 57:09 If we don't, we will not make it in Jesus' name. 57:12 Amen. 57:14 Hello, and welcome back, friends. 57:17 It is the straight testimony and the denial of that, 57:20 which is biblical truth 57:21 that will cause the final shaking. 57:24 We, certainly, hope today 57:25 that Pastor Kenny Shelton was able, 57:28 by the grace of God, 57:29 to make that vital point explicitly clear. 57:33 However, God is not willing that any should perish, 57:37 but that all should come to repentance. 57:40 You can find that in 2 Peter 3:9. 57:43 Again, today's message is entitled, 57:45 The Final Shaking. 57:47 And should you desire your very own copy 57:50 of this message to study again 57:51 and to share with others, 57:53 we encourage you to contact us here 57:55 at Behold the Lamb Ministries, 57:57 and we'd be more than happy to send it to you 57:59 for a love gift of just $8 or more. 58:02 You may call us here at (618) 942-5044 58:08 Central Time, 58:09 or write to us at PO Box 2030, 58:12 Herrin, Illinois 62948. 58:15 Friends, we're so thankful that you tuned in. 58:17 Don't forget to like us on Facebook. 58:20 And until next time, 58:21 may our precious Lord continue to richly bless you and yours. |
