00:01 The Carter Report presents Living Victoriously,
00:05 Secrets of Success from Prime Minister Daniel
00:08 of Babylon city
00:10 with your host John Carter.
00:25 Welcome back.
00:26 This is part nine.
00:28 This is really part B of part nine,
00:32 Living Victoriously.
00:34 We're talking about the fate of Jerusalem,
00:36 what is going to happen to the Middle East.
00:38 Who is the true Messiah?
00:42 Is Jesus Christ the true Messiah?
00:45 Or is He simply an imposter?
00:50 I love atheists to hear this program
00:52 because it's overwhelming in its proof.
00:56 I want you to come now to Daniel 9,
00:58 this is a pick up, Daniel 9:20 and 21.
01:03 "Now while I was speaking,
01:05 praying, and confessing my sin
01:07 and the sin of my people Israel,
01:10 and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God
01:13 for the holy mountain of my God..."
01:15 That's Jerusalem.
01:16 "Yes, while I was speaking in prayer,
01:19 man Gabriel,
01:21 whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning,
01:23 being caused to fly swiftly,
01:26 reached me about the time of the evening offering."
01:29 That's 3:00 in the afternoon.
01:31 Daniel starts to pray,
01:33 his prayer takes a couple of minutes.
01:36 From the other side of the universe,
01:37 I think from the outside the universe,
01:40 this mighty angelic being travels trillions of miles,
01:47 He comes down
01:49 and He's got an answer for him.
01:52 This tells me something.
01:54 It tells me that God sees, He sees us, God hears us,
01:59 God acts, Daniel is praying.
02:02 God sees him.
02:04 The prayer of faith moves the hand of almighty God.
02:09 You may just feel all alone that nobody cares about you,
02:13 but the Bible tells me
02:14 that the prayer of faith
02:16 moves the hand of the almighty God.
02:21 Sort of amazing, isn't it?
02:23 You're never, never, never alone.
02:26 Now look at Daniel 9:22-23, Daniel 9:22-23.
02:32 "He informed me, and talked with me,
02:34 and said, 'O, Daniel...'"
02:36 He knows his name.
02:37 He doesn't say, "Hey, you there?"
02:39 "O, Daniel, I have now come forth
02:41 to give you skill to understand.
02:44 At the beginning of your supplications
02:47 the command went out,
02:48 and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved,
02:53 therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision."
02:56 What's the vision about?
02:58 It's about Jerusalem.
03:00 Yeah.
03:01 About the desolation of Jerusalem.
03:03 It's also about the prophecy of the 2300 days.
03:09 Now look at verse 24, Daniel 9:24,
03:14 dear hearts and gentle people.
03:16 Here is the explanation, you got to listen hard.
03:20 This is amazing.
03:22 "Seventy weeks," 490 days,"
03:24 are determined for your people," the Jews.
03:29 "For your people and your holy city," Jerusalem.
03:35 And notice these mighty acts.
03:37 "To finish the transgression, to make an end of sins,
03:41 to make reconciliation for iniquity,
03:44 to bring in everlasting righteousness,
03:47 to seal up vision and prophecy,
03:50 and to anoint the Most Holy,"
03:52 or the Most Holy place.
03:57 Now you got to concentrate here
03:59 because God gives a period
04:02 of 490 years
04:08 for the Jewish people.
04:11 I want you to think about this.
04:14 He says 70 x 7, these are years,
04:20 490 years are set aside
04:23 for your people.
04:28 And when it says 70 weeks of years,
04:32 490 years are appointed,
04:35 the word is the Hebrew word that means cut off
04:40 and cut off from the 2300 years.
04:43 Not going to go into that today,
04:45 we just don't have time.
04:47 I wanna talk about God's mighty acts in history.
04:52 Number one, there is a line in the sand
04:56 that God draws,
04:58 490 years.
05:02 In the Book of Genesis,
05:03 it said, "The sin of the Amorites
05:06 has not yet reached its full measure."
05:10 This tells me
05:12 that God is keeping an account
05:16 of the sins
05:19 of the nation.
05:24 God keeps an account with the nations.
05:26 He gives to the Jewish people a period 490 years.
05:32 And then it talks about something
05:34 which is quite incredible
05:36 because this is talking here
05:39 about salvation through the Jewish Messiah
05:43 and certain great acts are going to happen.
05:46 You got to try to get this into your mind.
05:49 Within the 490 years,
05:53 I'm going to finish transgression, God says.
05:55 I'm going to put an end to sin,
05:58 I'm going to make reconciliation for iniquity.
06:02 I'm going to bring in everlasting righteousness,
06:07 I'm going to seal up the prophecy,
06:09 and I'm going to anoint the Most Holy place.
06:14 This is the most astounding prophecy
06:19 in the Old Testament
06:22 because here you have the presentation of the gospel.
06:29 Because the New Testament which was written by Jews
06:32 tells me this
06:33 that when Christ died on the cross
06:38 and became the bearer of the sin of the world,
06:43 He brought an end to sin,
06:46 He put an end to iniquity,
06:49 and He brought in everlasting righteousness,
06:53 and He made an atoning sacrifice.
06:58 Now this is what we call the gospel
07:02 because it's about the good news.
07:06 I want you to try to think about this,
07:08 how does this actually work?
07:10 People say, I don't want any, you know, difficult theology,
07:16 I just wanna make it as simple as I can.
07:20 You know about the dying thief.
07:24 He turned to Jesus and he said, "Lord, remember me
07:28 when you come into Your kingdom."
07:30 He repented of his sin and he put his trust in Christ.
07:34 And Christ said to him, "I'm telling you today,
07:37 you're going to be with me in paradise."
07:41 And so this dying thief, dying next to Christ
07:45 received everlasting righteousness.
07:49 God put an end
07:51 to the power of sin in his life.
07:55 Can you believe this, if I come to Christ,
07:59 if I believe in Christ,
08:02 God will give me not because I've earned it
08:07 but simply by His merit, by His grace,
08:11 He will give me everlasting righteousness.
08:14 Amen.
08:15 He puts an end to the power of sin in my life
08:20 and I'm ready to go to paradise.
08:23 I don't need purgatory, any of those things.
08:26 You see, I'm saved, I'm right with God right now.
08:33 Now look at Daniel 9:25,
08:35 there is only one person who could do this
08:37 and that was the Jewish Messiah.
08:38 Daniel 9:25.
08:41 Now you got to really concentrate.
08:44 "Know therefore and understand,
08:46 that from the going forth of the command
08:48 to restore and build Jerusalem.
08:51 Until the Messiah the Prince,
08:54 there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks,"
08:58 69 weeks, 483 years.
09:01 "The streets shall be built again,
09:03 and the wall, even in troublesome times."
09:06 This prophecy is given about 2500 years ago.
09:11 Now please listen carefully.
09:15 Start the molecules of your minds,
09:19 the prophet writing 550 BC said,
09:22 there would be a decree to restore and build Jerusalem.
09:28 That decree went forth under Artaxerxes Longimanus
09:33 in the year 457 BC.
09:37 In our last program, we told you
09:38 how Jerusalem had been destroyed by the Babylonians.
09:42 This Persian king said,
09:43 "Build it, build it again," 457.
09:46 Then it says, you add on 483 years,
09:50 the 49, the 434 years,
09:54 you add that on to the 457 BC
09:58 and it brings you through to the year 27 AD,
10:02 please look at it.
10:06 500 BC, a Jewish prophet in Babylon
10:11 predicted that the true Messiah
10:13 would appear in 27 AD.
10:18 And the question is,
10:20 did the Messiah appear in the 27 AD?
10:24 We turn to Luke 3:1, Luke 3:1 it says,
10:29 "Now in the fifth..." This is the New Testament.
10:30 "In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar,
10:33 Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea,
10:36 Herod being tetrarch of Galilee,
10:38 his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea
10:40 and of the region of Trachonitis,
10:42 and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene.
10:45 When all the people were baptized,
10:46 it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized.
10:50 And while He prayed, the heaven was opened,
10:53 and the Holy Spirit descended
10:55 in a bodily form like a dove upon him,
10:57 and a voice came from heaven which said,
10:59 'You are my beloved Son, in whom I'm well pleased.'
11:01 Now Jesus himself began His ministry
11:06 at about 30 years of age
11:08 being as was supposed, the son of Joseph,
11:10 the son of Heli."
11:12 Now listen, this is a terrible old stuff,
11:16 but if you're an unbeliever, I beseech you.
11:19 Just listen for a moment.
11:20 Lay aside your preconceived ideas.
11:24 Then Prophet Daniel said,
11:27 "The Messiah,
11:28 the true Messiah would appear in 27 AD.
11:34 And the Bible says,
11:35 the Messiah appeared in Israel
11:39 in the 15th year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar.
11:44 And according to Jewish reckoning,
11:48 the 15th year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar is 27 AD.
11:54 What are you gonna say about that?
11:57 What are you gonna say about this?
11:59 The atheist says that Jesus is just a carpenter
12:03 but if He is just a carpenter,
12:05 every atheist is defeated by this carpenter's baptism.
12:11 See, He came on time, lived on time,
12:14 and as prophecy says, He would die on time.
12:20 Look at verse 26, Daniel 9:26,
12:24 "And after the 62 weeks Messiah shall be cut off,"
12:29 he would be murdered,
12:31 "not for himself."
12:32 He would not die for Himself, but for sins of the world.
12:35 "And the people of the prince who is to come
12:38 shall destroy the city and the sanctuary."
12:40 Don't forget it.
12:41 "The end of it shall be with a flood
12:44 until the end of the war desolations are determined."
12:49 Now listen carefully to me,
12:53 most people thought when Messiah came,
12:56 he would be the conquering hero
12:59 and would drive out the hated Romans.
13:03 The Bible says, he would come to establish righteousness,
13:09 to do away with sin in the hearts of men,
13:14 and He would be cut off.
13:18 Now the Hebrew word means
13:20 he would be murdered not for Himself.
13:25 Many years ago I heard of...
13:29 a wonderful thing that people saw in Washington,
13:32 walking down the beautiful streets.
13:34 There was a man terribly deformed
13:37 walking arm in arm with a beautiful young woman,
13:39 she was somewhat younger than he.
13:42 And people would say,
13:43 "Why is this beautiful woman
13:46 walking with this man who is so defiled?
13:50 He was so hideous.
13:53 She was a little girl, her house got on fire.
13:58 And her brother ran in, picked her up,
14:02 and held her to his chest,
14:04 covered her with a blanket,
14:06 and plunged out through the heaving flames,
14:12 saved her life,
14:15 blind and disfigured for life.
14:19 You think she's ashamed of him?
14:24 There was a Jewish man who was cut off
14:28 but for not for Himself,
14:32 He is cut off for us.
14:33 Are we ashamed of Him?
14:35 I say, never, never, never,
14:39 this Christ, the son of God,
14:43 the hope of the world.
14:46 Daniel 9:27 goes on to say...
14:53 "Then he shall confirm a covenant
14:56 with many for one week..."
14:57 This is the Messiah.
15:00 "But in the middle of the week
15:01 He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
15:05 And on the wing of abominations
15:08 shall be one who makes desolate,
15:11 even until the consummation, which is determined,
15:15 is poured out on the desolate."
15:17 Now if you will remember
15:19 when we put up that graph or that chart on the screen,
15:24 we used up 483 years
15:28 of the 490 years
15:31 which means that we had
15:33 right at the very end of that time period,
15:36 one week of years or seven years.
15:40 This time period commenced when the Messiah was baptized,
15:45 27 AD, that is a fact.
15:51 What are you going to do, my friend?
15:54 Who is a skeptic, you're an unbeliever
15:57 and you say, I do not believe.
15:59 It is one thing to say this,
16:01 how are you going to answer these arguments, I ask you.
16:05 The prophecy written 550 years
16:09 before Christ was born.
16:13 From the going forth
16:15 of the decree to restore and to build Jerusalem,
16:19 and we started at 457
16:21 and it brought us through to 27.
16:23 And the Bible says, in the midst of this week
16:29 and that would be the year 31 AD.
16:33 And the Bible says in 31 AD,
16:38 the person who was cut off
16:41 would bring an end to the Jewish sacrifices.
16:47 And only he could do this, my friend,
16:50 because he was the Lamb of God.
16:53 You see, when Christ died on the cross,
16:58 He brought an end
17:00 to all the sacrifices of the Jewish sanctuary.
17:05 And at the very moment
17:07 when our Christ was dying on the cross,
17:11 the high priest was about to offer up the sacrifice.
17:17 And the Bible says that as he died,
17:20 the veil in the temple was torn from the top to the bottom
17:26 by an unseen hand
17:28 to show that this whole system of sacrifices
17:34 had been fulfilled.
17:38 And all those sacrifices were fulfilled
17:42 in Jesus Christ, the Jew,
17:46 the Jewish Messiah.
17:48 This is great evidence for an earnest seek of a truth,
17:52 I tell you.
17:53 Now please notice verse 26, which is astounding.
17:59 "Now after the 62 weeks..."
18:01 Don't worry about that, we don't have time.
18:03 "Messiah shall be cut off."
18:06 All the priests thought He was going to come
18:08 as the conquering lion of the tribe of Judah.
18:14 But now the Bible says,
18:16 He would be cut off and He was crucified
18:19 by the religious people of His own day,
18:22 the politicians.
18:24 "Not for himself," He was cut off for us.
18:26 Now look at this.
18:28 "And the people of the prince who is to come
18:32 shall destroy the city and the sanctuary."
18:36 Look at those words written 550 BC,
18:41 the people of the prince who shall come,
18:44 it doesn't say the prince will do it,
18:47 but the people of the prince
18:51 shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
18:53 "The end of it shall be with a flood
18:55 and till the end of the war desolations are determined."
19:00 A few years later in 70 AD,
19:03 the Romans came against Jerusalem.
19:07 They came firstly under Vespasian,
19:10 he became the emperor but Vespasian came in 60 AD.
19:16 And the world went on around Judea.
19:20 But then Titus came in 70 AD.
19:24 This is the very arch of Titus
19:26 that I took pictures of in Rome.
19:28 There are the seven golden candlesticks
19:31 being carried away
19:33 according to Bible prophecy.
19:36 Now I meet some people and they say,
19:37 this Christianity junk is all about faith.
19:43 Now I don't believe because of blind faith,
19:46 I believe because of overwhelming evidence.
19:50 My faith rests upon the evidence of history
19:55 and Bible prophecy.
19:56 And Bible prophecy predicted the overthrow of Jerusalem
20:00 and it says the people of the prince would do it.
20:05 When the Romans broke into Jerusalem in 70 AD,
20:10 Titus said to the soldiers,
20:13 "I command you in the name of Caesar,
20:16 spare the temple, it is the temple of Yahweh."
20:22 Titus said, "Spare the temple."
20:25 The Roman soldiers got down there into the temple
20:28 and filled with rage
20:30 at the ferocious ferocity
20:35 of the Jewish soldiers.
20:38 They waded into the mob
20:41 and the blood ran down the steps of the Jewish temple,
20:45 the blood and the gold together.
20:48 According to the Bible prophecy,
20:52 the people of the prince, the prince didn't do it,
20:56 the soldiers pushed him aside.
20:59 That's astounding.
21:03 That they should treat Caesar like this,
21:05 he held up the staff of Caesar.
21:07 He said in the name of Caesar, they pushed him aside,
21:11 and the people of the prince,
21:14 the Roman soldiers burned the city to the ground
21:18 and the surviving Jews cried out,
21:21 "Ichabod, Ichabod the glory is to pardon."
21:25 Every word of the prophecy came to pass.
21:31 Christ came on time, He lived on time,
21:34 He died on time,
21:37 and He will come back on time.
21:40 Now listen to this carefully.
21:45 People say, "Will there be peace
21:47 in the Middle East, peace in the world?"
21:49 My friend, Jesus Christ is called
21:52 in the Hebrew scriptures, the Prince of Peace.
21:55 There is no peace until He is accepted.
22:00 But there is peace, forgiveness,
22:02 salvation to everyone
22:03 who comes in repentance
22:06 to this Jewish Jesus, you see.
22:12 Look at verse 24 again, Daniel 9:24,
22:18 "Seventy weeks are determined for your people
22:20 and for your holy city..."
22:21 Look at these words.
22:23 "To finish the transgression, to make an end of sins,
22:26 to make reconciliation for iniquity,
22:28 to bring in everlasting righteousness,
22:31 to seal up the vision and prophecy,
22:32 and to anoint the Most Holy."
22:37 That was fulfilled in 31 AD
22:41 when Christ died on the cross.
22:46 It will be filled full
22:51 when He comes again.
22:53 Then we will have
22:56 our reign of everlasting righteousness.
23:00 That will be the end of sin.
23:05 God will seal up the vision
23:07 and anoint the most holy, the New Jerusalem.
23:12 There are good times ahead for the people of God
23:16 who will be promoted to glory.
23:20 But the Bible says, listen to this,
23:23 there will be no peace in the streets of America,
23:29 no peace in the Middle East
23:32 until Jesus Christ is accepted
23:36 as the Prince of Peace.
23:40 Now I wanna tell you folk something else.
23:42 Look at this great picture, my team put together.
23:49 God today has got a new nation.
23:52 People say, "That's us."
23:54 Wait on.
23:56 God has got a new nation, a new Israel.
24:02 In the Old Testament it's all based upon race.
24:06 You had to be of this race,
24:10 but in the New Testament
24:12 God has got a new nation,
24:14 it isn't based on racism,
24:16 it is composed of true believers
24:20 who worship Jesus Christ
24:22 whether they are Jews, whether they are gentiles,
24:26 whether they are Arabs, whether they are Americans,
24:30 whether they are Australians, whether they are Russians,
24:35 that's Gods nation, you see,
24:39 because those people
24:43 constitute spiritual Israel.
24:47 And the Bible says, "You're not a Jew
24:49 if you are won outwardly,
24:51 you're a Jew if you are won inwardly.
24:56 And those people who believe in Christ
25:00 and who repent of their sins
25:03 are grafted into the tree of Israel.
25:09 They become the true Israelite
25:12 and whether they are black or they are brown,
25:16 whether they are yellow, whether they are Chinese,
25:19 whether they come from Mongolia,
25:22 whether they are English or Australian like me,
25:26 if they trust in Christ,
25:29 the Jewish Messiah and repent of their sins,
25:34 God gives to them everlasting righteousness.
25:38 He does away with sin in their lives, hallelujah!
25:44 And they are promoted to glory,
25:50 and they will live
25:52 for millions, and millions, and billions of years.
25:58 And all the people say...
26:00 Amen. Amen and amen.
26:07 Today we're starting the Washington DC Project.
26:12 We are going by the grace of God
26:14 to buy time on Washington television.
26:18 And we're going to have messages for our people
26:21 in the White House and on Capitol Hill.
26:25 There's a reason we're doing this.
26:27 And Time Magazine has been the reason
26:30 that we thought of doing this.
26:33 Notice this Time Magazine,
26:35 it says, "Is Truth dead?"
26:40 Apparently, many people in Washington would say,
26:43 "Yes, truth is dead."
26:46 And we can say anything we like because truth is dead.
26:52 That's why we have so much fake news
26:55 today in Washington.
26:58 We're going to be talking truth to power.
27:01 We're going to be talking about the great truths
27:03 that founded this great country.
27:05 We're going to be talking about
27:07 the great undergirding realities
27:10 that were the foundation stones of the great American Republic.
27:16 And we want you to support this project.
27:18 If you believe that we should bring a message
27:20 to the leadership in Washington,
27:23 please support us.
27:24 We have no money to do this at this moment.
27:27 We're asking you to send your offerings
27:31 and your money to the Washington Project.
27:35 Write to me please, John Carter, PO Box 1900,
27:39 Thousand Oaks, California 91358.
